Taro Namatame (P4) 06/ 01

People assume that Taro's experience in politics, and marriage to a musician would mean he would have experience dealing with negative spotlight.

They would be wrong. He is a secretary, and his wife had never been particularly controversial.

It's hard, the lights shining brightly everywhere, on everyone, as parts of his life are offered as if on a sacrificial altar to be consumed by the public.

He tries to act normally about it, however that is meant to go.

He knows it was wrong to cheat, and he has no excuse, only an explanation. He was lonely. He and his wife shared performance as a married couple, and little else when the end came, and she filed for divorce.

No jobs, no shared conversation, even appearing in the same room got scarcer and scarcer as time went on. And maybe it's what other men do, this marriage to a stranger.

Or maybe they are better at pretending and don't get caught.

The statistics are higher than everyone likes to pretend, and he now looks at other people wondering if they are faithful to their partners?

If it were just him being put through the wringer, he could probably make peace with it, but his wife pulled her into it. Mayumi didn't deserve to be dragged into this, to have her career hurt to this point.

Misuzu is acting on spite, bringing this to the media, perhaps beacuse it hurts Yamano, who is getting her shows and appearances canceled. He would have liked to apologize, but she wouldn't see him.

He would have liked to do a lot of things, differently if he could.

But you can't change the past. Only the future.

So perhaps, with this ability, he can do something other then drink away the guilt.

Perhaps, he can save people. Hope for the future is a heady thing to have, with so much despair in the present.

But to take that hope in the future into his hands, he must first act.

Act fast. Act natural.

And like all those campaign slogans used to say-

Take action.

ops, I stopped adding game at some point. I'll get back to that
