It was a sunny day in Royal Woods, with the singing of birds mixing with the laughter of children in the park. Luan Loud, always energetic and full of life, was in the middle of her element: a birthday party where she had been hired to do her famous comedy show. As usual, her inseparable brother Lincoln accompanied her, helping her with accessories and making sure everything was in order.

Luan, dressed in her classic clown outfit and a bright red nose, was at her peak. The kids laughed out loud as she performed balloon tricks, silly pranks, and her iconic pie smack routine. Lincoln, dressed in a striped shirt and jeans, watched from beside her with a smile, enjoying the show as much as everyone else.

"And now, the grand finale!" Luan exclaimed, pulling Mr. Coconuts, her trusted ventriloquist dummy, out of her pocket. "Mr. Coconuts has a special prank for all of you, but it's a secret! So, come on in!"

The children leaned forward, attentive and excited. Luan made a comical gesture, whispering in Mr. Coconuts' ear. The doll leaned back, making an exaggerated face of surprise, and then murmured something in Luan's ear.

"Oh, Mr. Coconuts, that's so funny!" Luan said, laughing. "But we can't tell them, it's too good!"

The children laughed and applauded, delighted with the act. Lincoln laughed too, but something about the way Luan looked at the doll made him feel a curious twinge of curiosity.

The show ended with a standing ovation, and the children dispersed, taking with them memories of a fun afternoon. Luan and Lincoln began to gather their things, and as they did, Lincoln noticed that Luan was quieter than usual.

"Are you okay, Luan?" she asked, packing up some balloons. "I saw you looking very thoughtful there with Mr. Coconuts."

Luan smiled, but there was a touch of nervousness in her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. I was just... thinking about something."

"In what?" Lincoln stopped packing and turned to her, crossing her arms.

Luan scratched her head, an action she usually did when she was nervous. "Well, there's something I wanted to tell you, but I'm not sure how to do it."

Lincoln raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "What is it? You know you can tell me anything."

Luan sighed, then smiled in a way Lincoln knew all too well; a smile that indicated she was about to do something crazy or unexpected. "Perfect! Then let's let Mr. Coconuts say it for me."

Taking the doll out of her bag, Luan sat down on a nearby chair and placed Mr. Coconuts on her lap. Lincoln sat across from her, waiting.

"Hello, Lincoln," Mr. Coconuts said in Luan's high, sparkling voice. "I have something important to tell you."

"Oh yeah? And what is that, Mr. Coconuts?" Lincoln asked, playing along with the joke.

Mr. Coconuts paused dramatically, then raised his wooden hand to point first at Lincoln and then at Luan, before making a heart gesture with his hands. Lincoln blinked, confused at first, but then his eyes widened as he understood the message.

"Is Mr. Coconuts saying that... you... I like you?" Lincoln asked, still in disbelief.

Luan, still holding the doll in her hands, nodded slowly. "Yes, Lincoln. I know he's crazy, and maybe you weren't expecting it, but it's the truth. I like you."

Lincoln stayed silent, processing what he had just heard. He could see the sincerity in Luan's eyes, mixed with her nervousness. It was as if she had been keeping this secret for a long time, and finally, he had dared to share it.

Luan, trying to ease the tension, added with a shy smile, "I knew my heart had a good joke, but this is the best one I've ever told."

Lincoln couldn't help but laugh, shaking his head. "Luan, you always have a joke ready, even for this."

She shrugged, leaving Mr. Coconuts aside. "It's my way of dealing with things. But what I feel for you is real, Lincoln. You've always been there for me, supporting me, making me laugh when I need it most. You're more than a brother to me."

Lincoln leaned forward, taking Luan's hands in his. "Luan, you're an amazing person. You always make me smile, and your jokes...well, sometimes they're a bit much, but I love seeing you happy. I don't know exactly how to handle this, but I want you to know that I'll always be here for you. "

Luan bit her lip, excited and relieved at the same time. "I didn't expect you to say anything different, Lincoln. I just wanted you to know, no matter what."

Lincoln smiled, looking at her tenderly. "And now that I know, I promise that nothing will change between us, except that... maybe we can find more time for the two of us. Like, I don't know, a movie night without interruptions of antics."

Luan laughed, nodding enthusiastically. "That sounds great! And you know what else? We could write some jokes together, you always have good ideas."

"Done deal!" Lincoln stood up, helping Luan up as well. "But first, how about a race to the kitchen to see who gets the last piece of cake from the party?"

Luan looked at him with a mischievous smile. "You're at a disadvantage, brother! I'm the queen of pranks and races!"

They both laughed and headed towards the kitchen, forgetting for a moment about confessions and feelings, and simply enjoying their time together, as they always had.

As they ran, Luan looked at Lincoln and felt that no matter what the future held for them, this moment and this connection they shared would always be special. Because, in the end, the real joke was that love had always been there, hidden between laughter and jokes, waiting for the right moment to be told.

And in that moment, as they shared the last piece of cake and laughed at the day's silliness, Luan knew that he had told the best joke of all: one that had not only made people laugh, but also made them feel.
