In looking around the downstairs area Ball eventually found an escape pod. She had thought it was closed off to her before, as it was originally behind her when she arrived in the ship.

She pressed a button on the wall that opened up the door. It slid up in a futuristic matter into a rather barren escape pod. It was cool, and somehow even more silent than the rest of the ship.
A robotic audio suddenly shifted on. At the same time, the door slammed shut.
"-.- .- / ... - -.- / - - / - ... . / ... . .-.. ..-. / -.. . ... - .-. ..- -.-. - / .-. .-.. .- -. . - / ... - .-. .-. . .-. .-.-.- / - ... . / -.. . ... - .. -. .- - .. - -. / .. ... / -.- - -.- . .-.. / -.-. .. - -.- .-.-.- / ... .. -. -.-. . / -.- - ..- / . -. - . .-. . -.. / -.- - ..- / .- .. .-.. .-.. / -. - .- / . -. .- - -.- / -... . .. -. -. / -.- .. .-.. .-.. . -.. / - -. / .. - .-. .- -.-. - / .- -. -.. / .-. . -.-. - ...- . .-. . -.. .-.-.- / .-. .-.. . .- ... . / .. -. ... . .-. - / -.- - ..- .-. / -.. -. .- / -... . ..-. - .-. . / - ... .. ... / . ... -.-. .- .-. . / .-. - -.. / .- .. .-.. .-.. / .- ..- ... - / -.- .. .-.. .-.. / -.- - ..- / .- .. - ... / -. - / .-. . -.-. - ...- . .-. -.- .-.-.- / .. ..-. / -.- - ..- / .- .. ... ... / - - / - .- -.- . / ... ..- .. -.-. .. -.. . / -.. - / -. - - ... .. -. -. .-.-.-" While the computer voice beeped, a drawer slot opened up as if it wanted to collect something. For a while, it didn't say, or do anything.

"Uh?" Ball said to herself. It was too quiet, and it was starting to freak her out. She couldn't escape, and she couldn't understand.
The drawer closed, and the beeping came back.
" ... ..- .. -.-. .. -.. . / - .-. . .-. .- - .. - -. / -.-. ... - ... . -. .-.-.- / -.- - ..- / .- .-. . / . .. - ... . .-. / ... ..- .-. . .-. / ... .- -.. / - .-. / ... ..- .-. . .-. / -.. ..- - -... .-.-.- / .-. .-. - -... .- -... .-.. -.- / -... - - ... .-.-.-" It said.
A low click sound was heard, and Ball felt the pod detach itself from the main ship. She then started to feel it dip. It was almost like her imaginary stomach had floated just a little above herself.

Am I going down?

Eventually she couldn't keep herself from floating. She was indeed falling. Wind was starting to rip the sides, and the pod's temperature was beginning to burn her feet. Ball tried to keep herself above the floor, but she just fell into the walls instead.

The ripping air outside couldn't keep down its roar. Now falling faster than her, Ball was stuck on the ceiling of the pod, forced to feel its burn. She was stuck, sound and fright shattering her spirit. The bottom of the pod red and melting. She could barely keep conscious.

In the yoyle suburbs Beta was visiting Frederick at the landfill. The lad's work was the landfill, and it smelled mildly of fish, dirt, and trash bags. They leaned into the walls of the scale house while a nice fire pit burned in front of them.

"I really just don't know what to do," Beta said with her arms outstretched near the fire. Her breath was seen every time she talked.

"All you can really do is talk about it," Frederick said with his arms crossed in a casual stance. He had shoulder length dirty blonde hair and was wearing a tan leather jacket that had white puffs inside it to keep him warm. He also wore jeans and steel toed boots. Frederick would've been in his Jr year of high school, if he wasn't homeschooled.

"There is more I could do, but I'm not really sure I want to say anything. In truth, Ball should be killed for what happened. Her and all of the aliens involved. It just makes sense," Beta said. She looked into the fire and watched it dance.
"Something in your voice tells me that you don't fully believe that," Frederick said.

"I guess, but I can't let her get away with it either," Beta shrugged her shoulders.

A lanky older lady walked out of the scale house. She put her arms up at the sight of a flame. She sighed.

"Well at least it's not on the ground. Frederick, you can just come inside if you're cold," The lady said.
"I'm good out here Dannie," Frederick looked away from her and down at the flame. He tried not to smile.

Danielle, the older lady, frowned.

"What about Beta?" Danielle shivered a little.
"I'm good too Dannie," Beta said.
Danielle held the bridge of her nose in frustration.

"Don't.. call me Dannie," She sighed. She turned to go back to the scale house, but somebody was shaking the fence gate.

"Hellllo!? Trash people!?" A teen girl was shaking the fence. Next to her was another girl who was laughing.
Danielle walked over to them.
"What are you doing here?" She asked them.

"Uh, Wait what was his name?" The first girl, also known as Tiffany asked her friend Gabby.
"Like, Ben told us to tell you that the trash truck just totally D-I-E-D trying to like, go up a hill or something," Gabby said.
"Yeah that," Tiffany said.

"That still doesn't expl-" Danielle started.

"Oh yeah, so we needed to come here and give you our trash ourselves," Tiffany said. Behind them Gracie appeared. She was dragging a trash bin behind her.
"Oi came too," She said waving.

Danielle opened the door to the scale house.
"Hold on let me open up the gate," She went inside as the teens waited a moment.

The fence gate began to shuffle open to the right of them.

An out of shape lad dashed down the gravel driveway while dragging his trash bin as fast as he could.
"WAITTT!" He yelled.
Right in front of the gate he tripped and fell on his face.

Tiffany looked down at him
"Wow," She said in humorous awe.

Danny, the out of shape lad, lifted his face up to see the gate fully open.
"Oh.. it's not closing… Oh," Danny said (not to be confused with Dannie).
The two teens at the gate howled with laughter. Gracie looked at her friends in disappointment.
"Come oin gois.." She said.

Behind even them was Katy green, the lesser known elder sister of Josie and Beta. She walked up with a bin of her own, followed by Agren her boyfriend/bodyguard.

"Move outta my way," She said pushing the other teens out of her path with one arm, and dragging her trash bin with the other. Agren just walked past them with his meaty arms crossed.

"Be-TA!" Katy called out.
"Yeah?" Beta peeked her head around the scale house.
"Oh there you are! The trash truck broke down," Katy said. She had a heavy amount of makeup on, and it looked fresh.

Beta looked back to Frederick
"I think that's why everybody's here," she said.
Frederick checked around the scale house the same as Beta.
"Oh wow," He said at how many people were arriving.

Beta yelled out to Agren.
"Hey Agren! You have Kristina?"
"She's in the car,"Agren answered.
"Well bring her out! Were making smores!" Beta shouted.

Tiffany twitched at the opportunity.
"SMORES?" She turned at the statement as Gracie hauled her bin inside the gated area.

Without changing expression Agren took his car keys out and pressed a button. The automatic doors of his van opened up, letting his little sister Kristina out.
"Wow can I join your party?!" She asked rushing forward to the group.
"Goi ahoid!" Gracie said, still pulling the trash into the landfill for her friends.

Frederick looked to Danielle.
"Dannie go get the s'more stuff," He said to quickly. Danny looked around, confused that he heard his name.

"Don't call me Dannie, and do you want all of it?" Danielle asked him.
Frederick gave her a thumbs up.
Danielle rolled her eyes and went back inside the scale house.

Pulling up in the driveway was a black van. Out of the side door jumped 3 kids, Oscar, Ethan, and Robey.
"Did somebody!-" Oscar laughed too much before he could finish his quote.
"Ring the dinkster," Ethan said quietly.
Robey signed 'Ring the dinkster' as best he could in ASL.

In the driver's seat was Oscar's father, who didn't want to be there.
"He's going to show up," Mr. Creed told his wife who was sitting shotgun.
"Yeah, and what if he will?" Mrs. Creed said. She put her hand on his shoulder.
"You're right. I can handle him," Mr. Creed said.

"Hey dad! The Trash Pack is having s'mores! Can we stay!?" Oscar asked his father.
Robey signed 'please!'
"Sure.." Mr. Creed signed.
"You can come too, but you have to stop fighting with Fred," Oscar wagged his finger.

Mr. Creed gave a deep sigh, and took a penny out of his pocket. He tossed it.
Tails.
"Fine, I'll go," He opened the car door and flung himself out.
Mrs. Creed did the same.

"You know, you don't need that to decide everything," She said. She spoke in a stiff manner.
"I know I know," Mr. Creed said as he went to the back of the van to get his trash bin.
Oscar and his friends rushed into the fenced in area to hang out by the fire. The rest of the party seemed to be doing so.

By the time Mr. Creed was dragging his trash over, everyone had already gathered by the fire.
The only other people not yet at the fire, was the trash truck crew rushing over as fast as they dared in snow.

Well Tom and Ben were. Andrew didn't seem to care, so he just walked.

When Tom and Ben entered the landfill they were surprised to see all of the people standing around.
"What the?" Tom wondered aloud as he went up to the fire pit. Ben followed him.

"Oh wow. Look at all these kids Tom," Ben said. It felt like a special occasion.
Andrew caught up with them and widened his eyes, but he didn't say anything.
Tom began to count everyone at the fireplace.
"There's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.. eleven, twelve kids here."

"There's six grown ups too," Danielle said, "including us," She was chewing on a s'more.
"18 people then," Andrew said.
Ben frowned.
"That doesn't really feel complete," He said.
"How does that.. not feel complete to you?" Tom asked him.
"I don't know, I just really feel like we should have 20 people," Ben explained.
Tom shook his head.
"You've lost me," He said.

They stood by the fire as the sun started to set. Oscar, looking around, found that there was some larger rocks around the area. He walked away from where he was standing and went to roll them over toward the fire. As he was leaving, Beta stopped him.

"So Oscar, what do you know?" Beta asked casually.
Oscar turned around to face her.
"I'm sorry, I don't really know what you're asking?" Oscar said. He become short of breath around her.

"About Ball, about the aliens. We all know you're a part of it somehow. You're in the introduction program for her," Beta said as she held a s'more in her hand.
"Yeah, I am. To be honest I didn't really know much about what was happening with the aliens and Ball. Her and David were more into the issue on their own terms," Oscar said.
His parents just blankly looked at him.

"Why did, today happen?" Beta started to look at the ground more.
"It shouldn't of," Oscar said simply. He, couldn't keep his eyes off her.

They both stood there without saying anything.

Beta wiped away a tear from her face.
"I feel like I should be sadder, but I just feel numb," Beta looked at the floor.
"That's called denial," Oscar relaxed a little, "You probably hate Ball now, but I know that she didn't want this. I don't even think she knows why… what happened, happened," Oscar said.

"What happened?" Mr. Creed asked.
"There was a shooting at the school today," Agren said, "Aliens shot and killed Josie Green,"
"Our sister," Katy said, somber.

Ben raised his brows.
"Aliens are real?" He asked the group.
The students looked at him and nodded.
"Reminds me of what happened to Rachel," Tom said. He had a metal stick with a marshmallow on the end in the fire.

"What did happened to her?" Oscar asked.
"She went missing," Ben said.

Tom chimed in, "And then she came back, with an ugly cancer out of nowhere. Had radiation poisoning too. Rachel never even knew how she got radiated. It's when the rumors of aliens in Yoyleland first started."

"What happened to Rachel after she came back?" Oscar asked.

"She passed away," Andrew said. The group looked away from each other.
Oscar was disappointed.
"After all that.." He whispered. He looked away from the crowd.
"I may not know much about this stuff, but I do know what really happened to Rachel. She was really abducted by aliens! They were doing radiation experiments on her!" Oscar shouted.

"How would you know?" Tom asked.
Beta butted in- "Oscar is a part of Ball's introduction program. He works with Drake Johnson who was the center of Josie's.. conspiracy."

"You guys, Drake sacrificed to save you all from being experimented on too," Oscar explained, "The aliens are the real enemy. Not Ball, and not Johnson or David or Dora."

"As if I'll trust you, or, or, those other guys anytime soon," Beta said.
"I, I understand," Oscar turned around to the rocks again. He went over to one and began pushing it. He was struggling, but everyone just watched him.

"Like, what are you even doing?" Gabby asked him.
"I'm, I'm gonna use these rocks as little stools for you guys to sit on. You're all just standing there," Oscar said.

"Thoiks Oscar, but I doin't noid anything to sit oin," Gracie said.
"Well I do. Can somebody help him?" Tiffany asked the group.
Agren sighed.
"I'll help," He walked over to Oscar to help him with the rocks.
