So...Looking for inspiration for real names for the Boxers that a very obviously using stage names I've decided Disco Kid is Micheal King (Because he's the King of the dance floor) and Bear Hugger is Bill Pines (The symbolism should be obvious) some like Piston Hondo and Soda Popinski as I've said earlier I'm gonna lean into the silliness of Punch Out and treat them like real names I will admit it's probably easier with foreign sounding words for English Speakers, Great Tiger is a special case since he very clearly has magic powers I can use the trope of 'I know your true name' as a reason that his real name is never spoken, he made sure it's off the record
Von Kaiser asked Glass Joe about what he knew about the latest things Dana told him about the group that made her before she was captured, Joe told about what Dana said about the backers wanting the common men to have only mutant animal substitutes so these elites could have harems of human women all to themselves.
"Question." Disco Kid raised his hand "If all the common men have...Uh...Mutant Girls they can't...Have kids with...Then there won't be any more ordinary people…"
And as he said that it seemed to become clear to everyone that seemed to be exactly what these elites wanted! Knowing what they they knew about First Earth how they made the Humanimal slaves to do all the work so humans can live lives of pure luxury...Part of the reason the boxers began this 'Crusade' was because of fears forces on their world might be planning similar things given how many of the Mutant Animals had been revealed to be created by human experimentation similar to the Humanimals! Now it seemed there was a cabal that was planning far worse! While the 'Common Humans' of First Earth were kept like overfed lapdogs...Here it seemed this Cabal was going full Social Darwinist and try to eventually eliminate all common men so they didn't have to deal with the competition for women but trying to do it in a way that didn't look like out right genocide! Instead let the common men have animal women they couldn't breed with while eliminating monogamy so all the young eligible women would hopefully flock to them! And when there were no more 'common humans' because they all died out they could create a new working class out of animals that would have no rights!
Then Disco Kid reached into his Duffel bag and pulled out his Laptop computer and turned it on.
"What are you doing Michael?" Von Kaiser asked
"It's called the information super highway Vik." Disco Kid said "As I'm the only one in the WVBA other than Little Mac actually born and raised in NYC, I got friends I've known since childhood I'm emailing them to ask them to be on the look out for a red van with the words 'International Brain Trust'
Meanwhile...The Turtles had also discovered the new Tabloid story...Leo led his brothers out to...Well he thought he was rescuing Dana from Glass Joe…
Oh...Leo you stubborn Shell-Head...Once again I like that the Turtles, more specifically Leo is kind of the antagonist of this story, this was a short chapter but hopefully next chapter will be longer!
