HT: Chapter 4
The morning sun was shining brighter and brighter here in the little town of Peach Creek where we could see a small Cul-De-Sac nestled on the outskirts. We zoomed in on one of the houses here; the first house that was to the left of the entrance to the neighborhood. Soon we see someone exiting their home with a beige bag hanging over her right shoulder, locking the door behind her as she did.
The one who exited the house was a seventeen-year-old girl with bright green eyes and a petite body frame. She had long and silky, golden blond hair that went a little past her shoulder blades. Her attire was a short-sleeved dark pink blouse with a V-neck collar, a pair of blue denim shorts, and a pair of dark blue and gray Converse that went with her dark red thigh-high socks. She also had a piece of black cloth that she wore like a headband around her head, having it tied up in the back to resemble a ribbon; the band of the ribbon was used to cover her forehead, hiding the scar she had there.
The girl made a deep sigh to herself as she looked inside her bag to see if she had what she needed in it; her wallet (that had her ID, scooter license, and debit card in it), a stick of the ChapStick she uses, her cell phone, the keys to both her house and to her moped, the spare house key that her boyfriend gave to her for emergencies, a can of mace (just in case), and a black beanie that she used to wear all the time. Truthfully, she only kept this old beanie around in her bag as a memento, taking it out when she was feeling insecure about something; to have something to hold onto like a stress ball.
Once she saw that she had everything, she began to walk off toward the playground that was located at the entrance of her neighborhood.
The girl was named Eddea Johnson; or Double D, as she was known to her two close friends and her other neighbors. 'Double D' was the remnant of an old nickname that she decided to keep since she still has two Ds in her name, even after her name changed. Despite this, she did not have that bra size (her cup size was currently a B, to be more precise), nor did she want any implants to make them that big. Her boyfriend used to joke about it once or twice in the past once they began to form naturally.
'Eddy is still such a child at times,' Double D thought before making a smile to herself, 'But I wouldn't have it any other way.'
It has been five years since an awful incident happened to her and her two friends: Ed and Eddy. Back when she was twelve, parts of their neighborhood were in ruins from a scam that backfired on them. It was so bad that they had to run away to avoid being beaten up by their fellow neighbors, concluding that they should try and find someone who could help and take them in for a few days. It was tough for everyone, but they finally managed to find who they were looking for at the end of their journey.
The man they found was Eddy's older brother, Evan. They had hoped that he would help protect them… but that turned out to be the worst decision they ever made. Evan did the exact opposite of helping his brother, proceeding to beat him up as a part of some 'game' he always played with Eddy. Double D was the one who tried to make Evan stop, only for her to get caught in Evan's grasp. Evan took Double D away to a location further away, dropping her off at a beach, much to her horror at the time due to how stressful the situation was. Thankfully, Evan did nothing to physically harm her, only taking her there to ask a few questions as a part of his 'game' with Eddy. He soon set her free once he got the answers he wanted, letting her walk back to her friends, who had chased down Evan's car as soon as he left with her.
It was after they were reunited that Double D told them the realization that she was a girl currently trapped in a body she did not want, deciding she wanted to transition into what she wished for. Double D also confessed to Eddy about how much she loved him; even telling him she knew he did not feel the same way she did…
After hearing that, Eddy told her he would support whatever Double D decided to do for herself, along with telling her that she was wrong about one thing. Eddy loved her a lot, even proving it to her by kissing her after their confession. It was a day they would never forget, for both good and bad reasons.
Later that day, the three Eds finally traveled back home by bus, only to see their fellow neighbors had arrived shortly before them. The three Eds were all terrified that their neighbors would try to attack them again, but they never did… As it turns out, once they saw how Eddy was being treated by his brother and what happened with Double D afterward, all of them decided to forgive the three Eds for what happened; concluding that Eddy got his punishment and dose of karma through his brother, so there was no need to beat him up for what happened. Even so, they asked them to stop making scams once and for all… Thankfully, all three of them decided this beforehand; promising everyone they would never do another scam again.
Shortly afterward, Double D told the entire neighborhood that she was a girl, already bracing herself for any harsh words or scorn that would be thrown at her. Much to her surprise, almost all her neighbors were very supportive of her; some of them even embraced her decision by helping her go shopping for clothes and necessities that same day. Naturally, the only neighbor to be weirded out by this news was Kevin, but not because he hated Double D's decision or anything like that; he fully supported girls like her. It was more so a tonal whiplash with what he thought of her before revealing she wanted to transition. Kevin eventually came around to support her on his own without any convincing from his friends, saying to her that it was going to take some time for the news to settle with him. Of course, Double D knew this when Kevin expressed his thoughts the first time, so there were no hard feelings in the long run with him. It was relieving to hear that everyone she knew would support her, even if it took some time for them to do so, and that was okay.
Despite confessing their feelings to each other that day on the beach, Eddy did not approach Double D to talk about their relationship together until a week later, saying he wanted to give both her some space and to think things over with how he was feeling. They both concluded that they should take things slow for now and see what becomes of it once they told their parents about how they felt for each other.
Telling their parents was a scary and stressful hurdle for them to jump through, but they knew they had to tell them about their new relationship. Thankfully, both Double D's mother and Eddy's mom were very supportive of their decision. Double D's father, in the meantime, felt slightly conflicted at first. He was NOT against the idea at all but was more concerned about his daughter's health during the transition. Both of Double D's parents were doctors, so they knew that it would be hard for her if she went through with it. Sadly, Eddy's dad was the one who took the news negatively, he did not understand why his son's friend would even do this, let alone have Eddy support them on their 'gender delusional feelings'. Of course, when he told this to his wife while they were behind closed doors, he received a hard slap to the face from her, scolding her husband for not wanting his son or his girlfriend to be happy, "Do you WANT Eddy to turn out as bad as Evan did?! Then maybe you should try and make an effort to make things better for them!" she shouted to him in anger at the time. It did take a while, but Eddy's dad finally opened up to Double D as Eddy's girlfriend and the changes that were happening to her once her transition began. It also helped that Eddy's dad had respect for Double D before she became his son's girlfriend; that respect for her never went away even when the news first dropped.
It took a few years for Double D to properly transition to who she was today, and the results could be seen when she looked at herself in the mirror. The final stages of her transition happened when she turned sixteen in August last year. Her best friend Ed and boyfriend Eddy were both happy for her and how far she had come with her transition, much to her joy.
Random Note: If you want to imagine how Double D's voice sounds now in this story, I would imagine she would sound like Susie Yeung; more so like her VA role as Fuuka from Persona 3 Reload when she's being caring or timid, but also like Susie's role as Yuffie in FF7 Remake/Rebirth when she's being more sassy. Just something I felt like mentioning. I'm not even sure if the voice would match, but I would like to think so.
Once Double D arrived at the playground, she sat down on the bench that was there, waiting for her boyfriend to arrive. She opened her bag to grab her cell phone, pulling it out to see what the current time was. It was Thursday, August 1st, at 7:35 am. On the 8th of this month, it was going to be her 18th birthday.
With her finally graduating high school last May along with her friends, it began to make Double D very nervous. She was very indecisive about what she wanted to do at this point… What kind of profession did she want to aim for when she went to college? What about getting a part-time job to help pay for things she needed once she began to live on her own?
As she was checking her phone for the time, Double D could see the picture she had as her lock screen; it was a candid image of her and her two friends, with Ed hugging her and Eddy as he was taking a selfie with her phone; a big smile was plastered on his face. Naturally, Eddy looked irritated in the photo while Double D could see herself giggling at their behavior.
Double D looked at the picture on her cell phone's lock screen, smiling as she did. She was very grateful to have them as her best friends, along with living in an area that did not judge her when she was transitioning.
A few minutes passed by before her boyfriend came over to her. He was a young seventeen-year-old boy who had dark blue eyes and a somewhat stocky build, but not in a way that made him overweight. He had somewhat short, spiky blue hair with some of the spikes going past his ears; only three of the hair tufts stuck out the most. His attire was a yellow polo shirt with a purple collar and short sleeves; there was a vertical red line that went down the right side of his shirt. He wore a pair of light-colored blue jeans and a pair of red and white tennis shoes. He had a silver chain connected to his right belt loop; the chain was attached to his wallet which he kept in his back pocket. Eddy had grown a lot taller since he was twelve; Double D used to be taller than him by quite a bit until Eddy finally hit his growth spurt at the end of middle school, right before starting high school.
"Good morning, Eddy," Double D greeted with a big-gaped smile; she decided to not straighten her teeth to close the gap she always had, saying it would feel too weird to fix.
"Yeah, mornin'," Eddy replied with a tired tone as he sat down next to her with a bit of a flop.
Double D's smile slowly disappeared as she looked at him with concern; his tone of voice sounded like he was very stressed, "Are you feeling alright?" She asked.
Eddy flinched slightly before replying, "… No, not really," he groaned in irritation before looking around the area to see if anyone else was around, "My folk told me that Evan's coming to visit us tonight, saying he's the one who requested meeting back up. He's gonna be staying at my house for two days."
Double D stared at Eddy before growing pale in the face, "Oh dear… Y-Your parents didn't know…?"
"Of course they don't! I-I never told them about Evan or where we went five years ago!" Eddy started to shout in a panic to her, "I just wanted to forget about him for good, so I never said anything! But NOW he's—"
Eddy felt Double D place her hand on his shoulder, "Eddy! It's going to be okay," she said before making a gentle smile, "If you need to, maybe you can sleep over at Ed's house; his hygiene has gotten a lot better in recent years, you know. I'm sure Ed wouldn't mind your company."
Eddy nodded his head, "R-Right, that's probably for the best," he stated before narrowing his eyes, reaching out to grab Double D's hand, "But if he does anything to hurt you or anyone else again, I'll give him a good punch to the face!"
Double D looked back to her boyfriend, making another smile at him, "Don't worry, I know you will."
The two teens continued to sit on the bench before getting up to do what they planned to do today. Double D needed to go to the grocery store today to pick up some stuff for the week. Since her parents were working overtime at their job at the local hospital this whole week, Double D oversaw buying the groceries for them. She knew she would need some help with carrying everything home, so Double D asked Eddy for his help; at least to drive her there in his car.
Once they arrived at the store, Double D and Eddy went to separate parts of the store, with Eddy looking at the magazines and newspapers that were near the pharmacy. It was while he was there that something crossed his mind, something he had thought about a few times but never talked about with Double D. It was about something he wanted to do with her, but only for her birthday… Eddy knew she would immediately say no to it, but he still wanted to ask if it was okay to do with her one day, even if it was not on her birthday or anytime soon. He felt like they were still too young to have sex together, but… He still had to ask. He needed to ask her about this to get it off his chest.
Ever since Double D turned seventeen, Eddy's attraction to her had kept building more and more to the point he could no longer hold it in. Eddy knew masturbating was not a thing to talk about with his girlfriend, but he also knew it was a bad thing to hold back on how he felt to her; it was a perfectly healthy thing for a teen like him to do… Though it was a good thing Double D never picked up on the signs of him doing anything like that whenever he was alone in his room, he was thorough about cleaning himself up afterward and not leaving anything behind that she could see. So many boxes of tissues were always out of sight and hidden from view.
Eddy felt extremely nervous as he walked over to the pharmacy, quickly grabbing a box off the shelves before briskly walking over to the checkout, also grabbing a few snacks to hide the small box he grabbed. The clerk greeted him with a smile as he checked out the items Eddy brought over; a pack of Skittles, a pack of Starbursts, a pack of gum, a bottle of water, and…
"… Well now, looks like you're gonna have some fun tonight, aren't you?" The clerk chuckled to Eddy in a teasing tone when he saw the last item Eddy had to check out; a box of condoms, "I'll wish you the best of luck on that!"
Eddy froze in fright at the clerk's statement for a moment, "Y-Yeah, whatever!" He replied with a small bit of panic as he grabbed the bag of items he bought, along with the receipt and his debit card from the clerk, "Thanks a bunch!"
Eddy began to rush back to his car for a moment, hoping that Double D did not see him leave with what he bought. He then opened the door to his car, trying to find a good place to hide the bag so that Double D would not find it. Eddy settled on placing the bag inside the compartment next to the driver's seat, keeping the candy he bought on top of the box so it would not easily be seen.
Eddy made a sigh of relief to himself, "Geez, that was freaking awkward…"
He then reached into his back pocket to take out his cell phone, proceeding to text Double D that he was back in his car, "I'll just wait for you here. Didn't feel like staying inside the store right now. Text me when you need help with putting up what you bought."
Eddy entered his message before hitting send, hoping that Double D would see his text to let her know he was out in the car.
Author's Note (July 9th, 2024): Yay! A new chapter is done! Now for me to work on the next one...
