Shu had to be placed on a street patrol due to hsi existing hand injury from the UA sports festival. Not like he could boost his natural healing with his quirk to take on more interesting missions. Hush left as a disadvantage since he freely used that mending factor on others. Came with a time factor and how close the person needed to be physically close to him. Left him with his jacket on to black out the chilly night air and brisk walk. His phone had a few numbers assigned to the speed dial for emergencies he came across. Which were none since the neighborhood he was assigned to scout was peaceful.
"Turn in early and buy dinner," He saw a corner store, "Keep going and then clock out?"
"How about finishing up and we attend your AA meeting with dinner after?" Shoto words had him turning around.
"What happened to keeping our distance until you were done thinking?" Shu reminded him.
Shoto was taking time to think over their fast paced relationship after some advice from his family. They wanted what would make him happy after their support of his current life choices. They just wanted him to step back and think about where he was going with Shu. They all expressed in one or another how fast he was going with someone he just met. His mother and sister with his nephew were glad he supported Shu's sobriety. Even liked how he attended meetings with him when he was in between his hero work. Somehow led to them thinking he was missing out on other parts of his life. Maybe hang out with his friends or hero related events that he was invited to attend. Not like his dad and Natsuo didn't care either way as long as he could start a family.
"Before you start thinking what is best for me," Shoto approached him, "Let me live my life the way I choose, what I want is one with you."
He plucked the property pamphlets when he recalled Asling's offer to move with Toshinori and her. Recalling how she spoke about the house has room for a few more heads to live. View wasn't bad with convenience to most of the places two either worked a or personal attended.
"What's going on in that head?" Shu asked him.
"Something your mother said," Shoto pointed out, "Two birds, one stone."
"Move- in offer would save us money and benefit them," Shu already knew the answers, "Among other factors."
"Now can we enjoy the night ?" Shoto took his arm.
Shu ended his patrol in Shoto's company by catching a peeping Tom trying to look in the women's side of a public bath. Guy's quirk may have given him an advanced form of sight with a defense plan. Catching him with a basic freeze while blinding him made easy handing him over. Police ended up thanking him since he was a repeat offender the last few weeks. Which made Shu not want to know why he chose the women's side of a bath. Since disrespectful behavior of invading ofher's privacy is what he saw. Left Shu take hold of his arm of his good hand and silence him with a plain kiss.
"You done?" Shoto asked him.
"Not how I saw my night going," Shu checked the time, "We got a few more hours."
Two went back on patrol for a reminder of the time they had on their remainder of their assigned route. Stopping to talk to some people who reported to them about seeing a prowler. Where of all places had the two of them standing outside a closed child care facility.
"Check the address?" Shu asked Shoto.
"This is the place." Shoto handed it over to him.
Two decided to check around the building and fenced in the playground for signs of his prowler. They split apart to cover more ground when they couldn't actually see anything from their view point. One took the fence into the playground as the other took the building.
"Who would want to break into a closed child care center?" They thought as they looked around.
What they found was clues of someone trying to get in from scratches found in the locks. Entrance gate to the playground looked like someone had been trying to get it loose. Back and front doorways had signs of someone trying to force them open. Which is how someone fell from the roof onto their side when they met up.
"You have five minutes to speak before I rearrange your atoms," Shu warned the stranger, "Begin."
"My kid's stuffed lobster is inside," Person explained, "He forgot him and can't sleep without him."
"You 're trying to break to get his lobster?" Shoto asked.
Shu sighed and staee He could wait till the child care facility opened in a few hours to get the lobster. Since he wasn't breaking into the building over a child's lost toy. Which is how a person agreed to not be handed over to the police for attempted break in. Off he went after Shoto and Shu walked him far enough away from the building.
"Remind me," Shu addressed the kid issue with Shu, "To make sure our kids are responsible for their own stuff."
"Sounds fair." Shoot like that idea.
They ended up stopping a gang of ruffians from breaking into a few vending machines for the money. Most of the damage was repaired by Shu as a Shoto flash froze them. Again they took them to the police with a simple explanation on how they found them.

Asling was found cheering near the kitchen phone by Toshinori after she had called their son. She was hoping he finally agreed to move in with Shoto after making them. She finally got her answer from an unlisted and private number of a Pro Hero.
"They said yes," She has so much to do, "Toshi!"
"I heard." He was glad to see her smile.
He knew she was already making plans for their son and Shoto even before they thought about moving in together. She was just happy that Shu found someone after what he's been through.
"We have so much to do." She looked around.
"Calm down," Toshinori advised, "A simple dinner to celebrate is enough."
Reminding her, she didn't have to do much since she already kept their house clean and organized. Left plenty of room for housemates or them to keep a pet of some kind.
"Then have you looked at the pamphlet I gave you?" She asked.
"Yes," He knew she was. Shins it, "I already contacted the association with my terms."
"That is?" She asked, wanting to know.
"A former police or military canine," He recalled, "We're in no rush to hear back from them."
He ended up allowing her to wrap her arms around him in a simple embrace due to his form. Fear of knocking him was always present in her mind when she was close like this. Around his neck she placed her arms in loose enough grip that isn't tonight. Him standing up with his cane as his other arm went around her waist to keep her close.
"I am still not getting a medical assistant animal," He stated, "I am not that helpless."
"Yet." She sighed.
He knew she was trying to get to agreed to get a medical assistant animal for when he was out in public. Being she couldn't alway be there to help him out since she had other priorities. Her son already had a life of his own and rarely could go out with him. So having an animal that was trained for simple tasks sounded like a great idea. She just never knew he wouldn't fully agree with her idea when presented.
"Kio?" He watched her go quiet, "Please don't hold this against me, how about we look into the medical assistant animal later on?"
"Fine since we are also in a custody battle with Nightingale," She recalled the last progress meeting with Toshinori's legal team, "I can't believe she used our son and his problem like she did."
"Give it time," He reminds her, "She had her reasons and we told her we would wait for a formal answer before getting too serious."
"Hmph." Asling pout.
Toshinori just kissed her puckered lips in a gentle manner knowing how much she dislikes this. She wanted Nightingale to kindly agree to allow her child to know her father and his parents. Not hide behind a lawyer and deny them at every turn.
