Chapter 15: Untranformable
WRITER NOTE: Like Chapter 6, this is another Chapter taking place from the Decepticons POV a while before the previous one, because dontcha just LOVE when chapters are out of continuity!?
The 'Cons are gathered around Clockwerk. With Neyla out of him and no more split personality possession, as well as a T-cog. He can finally transform again after thousands of years.
Megatron: Alright Clockwerk. Your time is now. Transform!
The Owl struggles a bit and it takes quite a while, as he hasn't done this in a very long time, but finally he is back in his Robot mode. It looks humanoid, but still possesses wings and a bird-like face.
Clockwerk: I- I feel whole again!
Megatron: Now try walking around.
The bot walks around, but keeps stumbling or falling to the ground. He uses his wings to attempt to fly, but can only get inches off the ground. Megatron examines him and realizes that many of his parts specific to his robot mode have been kept inside his Owl mode for so long that they are either very rusty or broken. He is both enraged and worried.
Megatron: Attempt to transform and then back again.
After it takes another while, Clockwerk transforms back into Owl mode and still feels weak. He slowly transforms back into bot mode, but is still weak. Megatron is enraged.
Megatron: AAAHHHHHH! (Starts punching a wall) Skywarp! Get over here!
Skywarp: Yes Megatro-
Megatron starts to beat Skywarp sensely for no apparent reason other than to take his rage out on someone.
Skywarp: Wh- why did you do that?
Megatron: I always take my anger out on Starscream. Now that he's imprisoned, you are the closest thing I have to him.
Clockwerk: Megatron…. You tried your best….. You don't have to proceed in attempting to repair me.
Megatron: You were one of my best soldiers back then and you will be again soon. I am not giving up on you. You need more examination on what new parts you need. Though it will be hard to get them. A Spacebridge portal to Cybertron takes up way too much Energon….. One of our only other options is…..ugh…Swindle….
Clockwerk: Swindle?
Megatron: He was a former member of my Combaticon team until he quit and became a shady businessbot who smuggles Cybertronian parts all around the Galaxy, but what is bought from him always has a 50/50 chance of actually working. He's a scammer I tell you!
Clockwerk: Megatron…. I may be incomplete as of now….. But I can still help the Decepticon cause in other ways…..
Megatron: Hmm….How so? Do tell?
Clockwerk tells all the Decepticons of the Cooper Clan and how some of them may have had Allspark fragments. He then gives the locations of where they were when he hunted them throughout time, and where fragments may be near but notes that not all of the Coopers were in contact with Allspark pieces, but advises Search parties for each location just in case. Megatron is impressed and really sees an actually competent second-in-command.
Soundwave: Megatron.
Megatron: Yes, Soundwave?
Soundwave: I have hypothesized that the Autobot base is located somewhere in Nevada, based on recent reports and sightings.
Megatron: We have been looking for their base for years and have found nothing. It's like they move it every Tuesday.
Soundwave: Permission for me and my minions to search for the base in Nevada?
Megatron: (Apathetic) Yeah! Yeah! Sure.
Soundwave is certain that if he finally finds the Autobot base for Megatron, he will gain more respect from him like he used to before Clockwerk showed up and maybe eventually position as Decepticon Second-in-command. He transforms into his Alt. mode, a Communications van and his minions, Ravage, Laserbeak, Frenzy and Rumble load up in the back.
Frenzy: Aw yeah! Road trip, woop woop!
Rumble takes one last look at Carmelita in her cell before loading up.
Rumble: Later, sexy.
Carmelita is disgusted. Soundwave rolls out to Nevada.
Megatron and Clockwerk start to assign each 'Con to a search party mapped to potential Allspark fragment locations. Lugnut is assigned with Triple Changer duo Shatter and Dropkick to….. Tennessee…..
