Chapter 23: Devastation onto a Historical Landmark
The Castle that the Cooper Gang visited in 1301 Medieval England is now in present day a historical landmark that now has museums around it and offers tours. The visitors today were hoping for a nice and peaceful tour, but everything is being interrupted by six green construction vehicles excavating around the place. Some security guards went up to the static crane. One knocks on its door, expecting answers from the driver.
Security Guard: Hey! Hey, you! You can't have all this out here, it's a holiday season! When have Construction vehicles ever been green? Anyways, where's your construction permit!?
Many, many parts on the Crane start to shift and then it stands up smiling menacingly.
Hook: Us. WE are the permit!
The other vehicles transform as the guards run and tourists looking on from afar back away, but some can't help but take pictures. Four out of the six begin to terrorize the people around and start demolishing the ancient castle.
Hook: Mixmaster! Scrapper! Get off your lazy asses and help us search for the fragment!
Mixmaster: Nah. We're good just watching.
Scrapper: I've been digging for…an hour. I already need a break.
Their leader, Hook, is frustrated with the lazy bots but then hears a truck horn from afar.
Hook: Optimus Prime is coming! Constructicons assemble!
Scrapper: Awww! Do we have to now?
Optimus stops in front of the castle. His trailer disappears and Sly gets out.
Optimus: These Decepticons are not the type I would call fast and they wouldn't go after someone like you as a group. I'm certain another more faster one will come and attempt to snatch you.
Sly: Until then, what should I do?
Optimus transforms and looks over to the museum portion of the Castle.
Optimus: (points) Maybe do what you do best, Master Thief. I'll notify you.
Sly gives him a hat tip and runs off to steal some medieval artifacts. People around start to notice Prime.
Tourist 1: OH MY GOD! Is that one of those alien Transformables?!
Tourist 2: Yeah. I think he may be one of the good ones, I mean he ain't attacking us.
Tourist 3: I think he's called Optimum Pride.
Tourist 4: Ain't he one of the stars of those bad "Go-Bots" movies directed by Michael Bay that still somehow make a crap ton of money thanks to China?
Optimus: Fear not organics! I am Optimus Prime and I will fight those fiends and protect you.
Meanwhile in the Museum, Sly is carefully grabbing any small jewelry he can come across when something catches his eye. A display of knight armor that looks similar to that worn by one of his ancestors, Sir Galleth Cooper. The description tells of a mythical legend that one day centuries ago, everything metal, mostly knight armor, suddenly started pulling together, or combining to form a metallic monster that terrorized the village. The description even has an illustration at the bottom of what this alleged mythical metal beast looked like. Was this Galleth's unintentional Allspark creation? Little did Sly know, right outside, history was seemingly about to repeat itself.
Optimus: Constructicons! Let me tell you. I have never seen you all separately as the fighting type. Each one of you alone has no chance in a fight with a Prime like me.
Scavenger: Oh yeah! We'll show you!
Four of the group keep charging at Prime, but he keeps knocking them back bare handed. The two lazy bots in the corner are drinking up oil cans as if they're watching a wrestling match.
Hook: Mixmaster! Scrapper! Over here NOW and assist us!
Mixmaster: 'aight. 'aight, don't get the circuits in your processor scrambled!
Mix and Scrap join their group in trying to fight Optimus, but he keeps knocking and throwing them back. Sly sneaks out of the Museum to witness the fight, getting pretty close to it.
Optimus: I told you, a single smaller Decepticon made for construction has no chance against a Prime.
Hook: (Growls) CONSTRUCTICONS, ASSEMBLE!
Sly watches in amazement and shock at the same time as the six Constructicons combine to form an absolutely enormous beast of a robot, towering extremely over Optimus. All the bystanders flee in absolute fear. Prime pulls out his Ion Blaster and ignites his Energon axe.
Optimus: (To Sly) Stand back, Cooper. This is going to be intense.
Sly: Optimu-
Optimus: Trust me. I have fought this behemoth many times…on my own.
Devastator: PREPARE FOR EXTERMINATION!
Sly runs out of the Castle as an intense battle between Optimus and Devastator ensues. The fight destroys more and more of the ancient castle, which makes him a bit depressed knowing his family had history there. A purple sports car suddenly speeds into the area, transforms into the Decepticon Shadow Striker and slides behind Optimus, getting a few light shots on his back.
Optimus: Ahh!
Shadow Striker: Where is the Raccoon, Optimus Prime!?
Optimus looks to see Sly. Shadow Striker looks in the same direction and also sees him. Sly starts to run and Striker chases after him. Prime is distracted with his resumed Devastator fight.
Sly: (While running) OPTIMUS!
Optimus: DO NOT WORRY ABOUT ME! I CAN TAKE HIM ON MYSELF!
Sly runs as fast as he can through the village. Climbing up poles, doing some parkour, swinging on things with his cane all while being chased by a very pissed and determined Decepticon who keeps shooting at him. Really reminds him of his chases with Carmelita. He eventually stumbles pretty hard and Shadow Striker catches him.
Shadow Striker: Gotcha!
Sly: (Acting) Oh no! What kind of thief am I for getting caught by someone!
Shadow Striker: Whatever.
She transforms into car mode, trapping Sly inside and speeds off.
Shadow Striker: (Calls) Shadow Striker to base. Shadow Striker to base. Sly Cooper is inside me. I repeat. Sly Cooper is inside me.
Sly: (Smirks) Are you really listening to yourself right now?
Shadow Striker: Shut up! (Continues call) I request an immediate Spacebridge portal back to the lair.
Sly: Y'know, you could at least take me out to dinner first. Again, why are all the pretty Cybertronian women on the fascist side?
Shadow Striker: I COULD KILL YOU RIGHT NOW IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP! But Megatron wants to see you.
A portal appears in front of her and she drives through. Sly Cooper is finally about to meet the Tyrannical Decepticon Leader… and an old enemy…..
