Chapter 27: A Very Normal Escape
Megatron throws Thundercracker to the wall and starts beating the absolute shit out of him.
Megatron: (Screams) HOW COULD YOU LET THEM GET AWAY!?
Thundercracker: (Terrified) St- Starscream was showing me the organics doing their mating dance!
Megatron: (Screams) YOU FUCKING IDIOT!
Clockwerk comes in and sees the open and empty cell.
Clockwerk: (Yells) COOPER ESCAPED!?
Megatron calms down slightly.
Megatron: I left a complete processor-damaged imbecile in charge of guarding. As your leader, I was going to hold you back on your revenge until after we defeated the Autobots, but now, you have my full permission to kill Cooper however and whenever you have the chance.
Clockwerk: I am still waiting for my new parts, then I will be satisfied enough to slaughter him.
The new seeker commander, Slipstream, comes in.
Slipstream: Megatron, we have just received word from Astrotrain that he's almost at the point where we portal him back here.
Megatron: Oh! So NOW he decides to arrive! Tell Shockwave and Baronite to get the lab ready immediately for Clockwerk. (To Clockwerk) Go to the lab. When we receive the parts, we will get you fixed up as fast as we can.
Clockwerk: I will be waiting.
Megatron: In the meantime….
Megatron calls all of the Decepticons in the Lair.
Megatron: (Calls) CALLING ALL DECEPTICONS! THE PRISONERS HAVE ESCAPED! THE MASTER THIEF, COOPER! THE INSPECTOR FOX AND STARSCREAM! Cooper is quite the sneaky one, so look anywhere and everywhere for him! ALSO FIND STARSCREAM SO I CAN TERMINATE HIM FOR GOOD!
The 'Cons scramble all around to find the escapees. Sly (In his Exo-Suit) and Carmelita are trying their best to navigate around the place without getting caught. It's not easy, but not as hard as they thought since they are small compared to anyone in this place. They find a room with a control panel that the Coneheaded seeker, Ramjet, is working on. Ramjet paces out of the room and Sly sneaks up to the panel. Using his suit, he jumps high up to it and transforms a part of his arm into a plug that fits a socket on the panel. Plugging it in, he gets the base intel he was looking for. He then begins to attempt to contact the Autobot Base.
Sly: (Calling) Sly Cooper to Teletraan One. Sly Cooper to Teletrann One. Is anyone picking up?
Luckily, a bot is quick to respond.
Prowl: (Over call) Sly! You've got the intel?
Sly: Yeah.
Prowl: (Over call) Send it to us.
Sly pushes a button on his wrist and it brings up a hologram. He types in a code on it, sending the intel to the Autobots.
Prowl: (Over call) WE GOT IT! Okay, let me check your tracker…seems you guys are in…..Peru.
Sly: Peru!?
Carm: Peru!?
Prowl: (Over call) Yeah. It seems to be in the mountains. That's honestly a good place for a hidden base. Look, get to the bottom of the mountain in the valley and call me again. We can track you and send you through a Spacebridge portal from where you're standing. Make sure no 'Cons see you!
Sly: Sounds like a plan. I'll contact you again soon.
Sly jumps off the panel to Carmelita.
Sly: We need to get to the bottom of the mountain. I'll contact them and they'll send us a portal back to their base?
Carm: Portal?
Sly: Just trust me with this.
Carm: I never know when to trust you, Cooper.
Sly: Do you want to get out of here or not?
Carm: (Sighs) Yeah.
Sly: But before we leave, we need to find the weapons room. My cane and your pistol may be in there.
The two run out of the room, but just stop and are barely spotted by the big Decepticon, Alpha Strike. Hidden from view, they now realize that their two current objectives are gonna get more difficult from this moment forward.
In Shockwave's lab, Clockwerk in robot mode is lying on the bed. Megatron, Shockwave and Penelope each come in with a box of parts.
Megatron: Are you finally ready to become the great Cybertronian warrior and thief you once were?
Clockwerk: Most certainly. I am ready!
Megatron: Shockwave, put him in stasis. (To Penelope) Baronite, take a look in the weapons room. Look and see if there is anything that would suit him.
Penelope gives a salute and heads to the weapons room. Outside the lair, at the bottom of the mountain, Starscream escaped pretty quickly through the Hanger area. He is pondering what to do next.
Starscream: (To himself) I think what I should do next is wait for the search for me to die down a bit and then head to a nearby village and terrorize the organics for blue paint. I'll disguise myself as Thundercracker, head back into the base and pray to Primus that Megatron, Lugnut or that damn birdbot see me or at least my damage. I'll sneak into the Throne room, climb up to the walkways above where the spacebridge control panel is and when Megatron and Clockwerk come in, I will set a portal course to their demise. (Laughs) You are a genius, Starscream!
