Note: Two quick updates today since you guys are simply the best. Writing this has been so much fun for me; and has overall just been such a nice creative outlet. I can't thank you enough for sticking with it. We have a lot more ground to cover, and I can't wait to share it with all of you.

...

When Rachel walked into the restaurant, she saw Donna sitting at a table, eyes slightly puffy, sipping on a mimosa.

Fucking Harvey, she thought.

"What did he do?" she questioned, sitting down across from her.

Donna looked down into her drink and sighed. "It wasn't his fault."

"Donna," Rachel said cautiously, "You don't always have to defend him, especially when you're clearly hurt. Tell me what happened."

Donna finished her drink and started, "Harvey asked me to come with him to drop Rosie off for her first day of daycare. I know I should have said no, but I knew it would be hard for him, and I didn't know if she would be difficult –" she trailed off.

Rachel was silent, waiting for her friend to continue.

"I've dealt with people thinking that Harvey and I have been married forever; restaurant hostesses, hotel reservationists, the drycleaners, you name it. Being referred to as Mrs. Specter hardly phases me anymore these days."

Rachel took a breath as she braced for what she knew was coming.

"'Mommy and daddy' thoughthat was a new one…" her eyes filled with tears as she shook her head.

"Oh, Donna," Rachel grabbed her friend's hand across the table.

"I don't know what to do, Rach," she said quietly. "This is our new reality and I just don't know where I fit anymore. I love that little girl, more than I ever thought I could love a child, especially one that isn't mine. But I don't know what my role is supposed to be. I don't think his intentions are bad, I just…" she sighed, "I just don't know what they are."

Rachel's heart broke seeing her friend that was always rock solid, slowly crumbling across from her. "You have to talk to him."

"And say what? 'Hey Harvey, do you want me to help you raise your kid? Playdates, birthdays, parent teacher conferences, but you know, as friends of course.'" She shook her head, "This whole thing is so ridiculous. I'm so mad at myself for letting it get to this point."

"Hey," Rachel said, still holding tightly to her friend's hands, "This is not a normal situation, and you guys do not have a normal relationship. Neither of you could have seen this coming; anyone else in your position would have completely lost it by now."

Donna gave her a weak smile, "I feel like an idiot."

Two more mimosas arrived at the table.

"How did he react when all of this happened?"

"Oh, after the 'Mr. and Mrs. Specter,' comment? Like everything was completely normal, too dense to think that the daycare staff would assume his presumptive wife was also the mother of his child." She shook her head, "When they did, it was written all over my face. I froze, he didn't know what to do, and honestly, there wasn't anything in that moment that he could have done…" she took a sip of her drink. "If he didn't know how strange this was for me, he definitely knows now."

Rachel sighed as she let go of her hand. "Want to order some food?"

Donna shook her head, "I need to get back to the office."

"Are you sure? I'm sure he would understand if you took the day –"

"I'll be alright," she gave her friend a sad smile, "Thank you for meeting me, I'm so glad you guys are in town. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Back at the office, Harvey couldn't focus on anything. Between worrying about Rosie downstairs, and replaying the look on Donna's face, he was too worked up to get anything done.

He stood up to pour himself a glass of scotch just as Louis barreled into his office.

"Harvey, we have the –"

"Not now, Louis," he snapped.

"It's the last meeting before –"

"I said not now, Louis."

Watching his friend sink into the couch and drop his head into his hands, Louis stepped cautiously into the office.

"Harvey, what's going on? You and Donna both didn't show up on Friday, and now you're drowning yourself in scotch at 11am and she's nowhere to be found. If you could take one goddamn week off from doing something to make her upset the firm would really –"

"LOUIS." Harvey snapped, standing up, fists clenched.

"Harvey, you better tell me what the hell is going on or I swear to god –"

Harvey took a breath. He knew he wasn't doing himself any favors taking his anger out on his partner, when he needed his friends now more than ever. He exhaled, giving Louis a resigned look.

"Come with me."

When Donna arrived back at the office, she was relieved to find that Harvey was not at his desk. She sifted through the mail, scanned her emails, and booked herself an early yoga class.

"Harvey, what the hell are we doing here," Louis demanded, as they exited the elevator on the 26th floor.

"Wait here."

3 minutes later, Harvey emerged, carrying a very sleepy Rosie in his arms.

Louis, like the others, froze where he was standing.

"Louis, I'd like you to meet my daughter, Rosie."

Louis just stared, mouth open, at the little girl.

"Rosie," Harvey said quietly, placing a soft kiss on the girl's cheek, "this is your…" he rolled his eyes at the words that were about to come out of his mouth, "Uncle Louis."
