Chapter 3: Borgor Elf

Just like before, Princess and Ex were welcomed by the appearance of Alpha. The co-leader of Shadow Garden held a small brown bag in her hands. "Princess, 'tis time for torture."

The Princess blinked at her torturer. "Is Miss Nu not joining today?"

"Unfortunately, she has an assignment to take care of at the moment. So, I alone will be handling the torture today." Alpha answered.

"Aw!" The Princess whined. "I really wanted to try her cooking again."

"You were planning to submit?" Ex caught the Princess off-guard.

"W-what?! N-no way, Ex! I was just trying to trick Miss Alpha into thinking I was going to submit!" The Princess exclaimed, sweating a bit. Even without eyes she could feel the judgmental gaze of her holy weapon. "I swear, Ex! I won't submit to today's torture!"

"I see." Alpha caught their attention. "I will just have to meet your determination with my own." She reached into the brown bag and pulled out…a burger wrapped in foil.

"A sandwich?" Ex questioned.

"A tuna sandwich from McRonalds, a Mitsugoshi owned brand. I'm sure you two are more than aware of the business." Alpha placed the burger on the cart she brought in with her.

"We are as Mitsugoshi has made its way over to our kingdom, gaining quite the attention in a short span of time, even putting some well-known stores out of business within days. But, alas, I don't see the point in this torture, Alpha! The Princess is far too high-class to desire food from a greasy fast-food chain-"

"Burger…"

"Princess?" Ex caught her making another stupid expression, drool dripping down her lips. Quickly the Princess wiped the drool from her lip and crossed her arms a dignified stare at the blonde elf.

"L-like I told you earlier, Ex! I swore that I wouldn't fall for this torture like the other ones! When a Princess makes a promise, she never goes back on her word!" A dramatic wind blew through the cell, giving the Princess a powerful aura that left Ex gasping.

"Princess… I see, yes! How could I have doubted you for even a moment?! You're the Princess, the Captain of the Legion's Third Imperial Army! You've faced countless trials in your time, stared down hordes of enemies that would have the average soldier quaking in their boots! You've been in harsher predicaments than this, and together we'll see it through to the end!" She smirked, patting herself on the back for being able to resist Alpha's torture-

CRINKLE!

"Eh?" The Princess looked back at Alpha to see the elf unwrapping the burger. As she did so, the Princess was greeted to the heavenly sight of the freshly golden cooked buns glistening from the cell's lights. She could see the crispy layer of the fried fish meat stacked between the golden buns. The smell itself was captivating alone, the Princess felt her legs waver as her stomach rumbled slightly. But she still held strong in her stance. "J-just unwrapping the burger won't be enough, Miss Alpha! I'm still standing!"

"Of course, but I'm not done yet." Alpha reached back into the bag and pulled out a small white packet.

The Princess gasped. "W-wait?! Is that?!"

"Yes, it's mayo." Alpha lightly tore it open and lifted the top bun. She slowly squeezed the contents over the fried fish meat. Princess fell to one of her knees.

"Princess?!"

She held out an arm to stop her holy weapon. "I-I-I'm fine, Ex! Something like this won't be enough! Though I've always wished to try the savory deliciousness of McRonalds, I'll never fall for something like this! It's going to take more than just a burger to make me-"

Alpha pulled out the final item, a hot stack of salty fries to go along with the burger. She saw the way the Princess froze at the sight, and smirked slightly. She picked up one of the fries, bringing it to her lips and taking a bite. Alpha's face lit up from the taste, letting out a moan of pleasure. "Hm~! It would be a shame to eat these by my-"

"I GIVE UP!" The Princess slid across the floor to Alpha's feet, practically crying. "I'LL TELL YOU A SECRET! JUST LET ME EAT MCRONALDS!"

The Princess talked.

Alpha finished writing down the recently gained information. "I see. The castle holds several secret entrances in these locations. I'm certain this will be valuable." As she spoke, the Princess was happily munching down on her tuna burger and fries. She turned to Ex with a pleased smile on her face.

"I've really been missing out, Ex! McRonalds is really tasty, no wonder the commoners love it so much!" The Princess laughed.

Ex just stared at her. "A Princess' words mean nothing, huh?"

Alpha walked down the hallway towards her personal quarters, humming in thought. "I feel that I got a bit lucky on that one, but still the results were met. Nu will still be gone for the next few days, so I'll need to find other ways to prepare the torture for the Princess."

"Lady Alpha!"

The blonde elf stopped, turning around to see three shorter figures walking towards her. The first was a recent member of Shadow Garden, a rather important one at that. She has bright honey-yellow eyes that match her short honey-blonde hair. She's dressed in the standard Shadow Garden uniform with a sword strapped to her hip.

The next one is a beautiful young female elf with short blue hair, blue eyes, a small beauty mark just left of center on her forehead, and a short but athletic slim figure, much to the contrast of her teammates. She's dressed in the standard Shadow Garden uniform as well, but has a black cloak around her shoulders.

The last one is another beautiful young elf with waist-length white hair and blue eyes. She's a tall curvaceous body which makes her standout compared to her shorter companion. She's dressed in the Shadow Garden uniform with gold accents with a mini cape attached to her shoulders.

Alpha stared at the three Numbers with a small query. "664, 665, and 666. Is there something that you three need?"

"Yes, Lady Alpha! Please, allow us to assist you in the torturing of the latest prisoner!" 664 requested. She and the other two kneeled respectfully with their heads bowed.

"Rise." Alpha ordered and they did so. "Is there any reason?"

"Yes, uh-" 664 was pushed out of the way by 665.

"666 wanted to take part!" 665 exclaimed.

"Really?" Alpha turned to the fidgeting number. "You wish to hold your own torture on the Princess?"

"Y-yes, Lady Alpha!" 666 stuttered a bit. "I wish to…uh prove myself to Shadow Garden!" Alpha noticed the way 666 clenched her fist as if she were nervous about something. It intrigued the co-leader, but she figured that it would be best to figure out a different time.

"Alright. I'll allow you three to handle the next torture." Alpha agreed.

"Yes!" 665 pulled her teammates into a tight hug, causing 664 to cry out.

"But!" Alpha stopped their celebration. "I will be monitoring you the entire time, is that fine?"

"Yes, Lady Alpha!" The three bowed their heads.

"Then you three are excused." She watched as the young girls scurried away to plan their 'torture'. Alpha released a sigh, hoping that this wouldn't backfire. In any case, if these girls do succeed in getting the Princess to submit, then perhaps she could get some of the others to hold their own tortures.

She'll have to closely monitor some of them to ensure they don't traumatize the Princess, of course.

NOTE: Until Rose eventually leaves Shadow Garden, she'll be referred to as '666'. Our little Rose seems to be troubled about something, maybe you'll find out in the next chapter?
