Whelp with a score of 22-1 Good path slams home the victory for the next story commencing, I've already finished the first chapter and it seems that we will be having a similar word count to this first story which some may like or dislike. oh well.
Electrifying Battle: Tank Top Master, Volten, Lighting Genji, Max, Kaminari, Bakugo, Eris,
Tank Top Master entered the monster association fully hoping to run into the hero hunter again to defeat him this time around. The last time he got sloppy and underestimated his opponent, he wouldn't do that again. However, in the back of his mind, he knew that, just like him, the hunter wouldn't be content just to sit back and stagnate himself. Upon meeting the man, he knew that he would become a serious threat if he were left unchecked, which was two months ago. Just how far has that man gone now? Was he still unable to touch him? His mission for the raid was purely to fight monsters. He was fully confident in his tank tops, and by that, he thought of Shoji. While being the newest member and being a little different, he still believed in him full sail, just like any of the other tank toppers in his group. When you wear the top, they have become family, and he trusts in each of them. He was inspired by Tentacole and his commitment to helping out even when he was not invited to. Even some of the other, older members probably wouldn't have been that dedicated to heroism, but he couldn't doubt that some of that heroism may have been misplaced.
His thoughts initially on the non-killing gimmick were fairly strange he knew of a few heroes that didn't have the heart to kill another living creature but still wanted to protect their fellow citizens it was a noble goal and he could understand where some were coming from especially when dealing with people that had changed into monsters he, himself had received his fair share of hate mail from family or loved ones of individuals that turned into monsters but he always saw it as helping others move on there just wasn't any chance of the original person coming back once they monsterized at least that's what he's been told he hasn't paid to much attention in the science behind monsters and what made them or how they come to be but he was sure that if they could be turned back or be socialized he would have heard of it by now. The monster association did have him slightly question those thoughts; however, it showed to him that monsters were just as capable of actually living in a society instead of just utter destruction, at least he assumed, so while the monster's goal was destruction, he imagined that afterward, they would have to build their own for themselves.
It was a theory that many probably sported but none wanted to come to pass, including himself, so while he allowed tentacole the operational freedom to do whatever he wanted, he would still operate normally and put them down. He could respect differing opinions within the tank tops and actively encourage them, which allowed the group to prosper on certain things even if most discussions would inevitably just boil down to the group wanting his approval on what's right in the first place and simply going from there.
He got his mind back on track as he continued down his path in the monster associations. He was also a bit surprised that King didn't think highly of such a threat; it was so meager in his eyes that he sent in his sidekick instead. Although this would be a great opportunity to see how strong the man was, at least a little bit by seeing how strong his secret apprentice was or how he fought entirely, unfortunately, they were nearly on opposite sides of the field, so he would only likely get to see the man fighting near the end, where they approach the boss monster.
As he proceeded through the many hallways and rooms that made up the main base of the monster association, he found the opponents a bit lacking. He had imagined that the opposition would increase in difficulty from the ones located outside, but the difference was marginal to him. This could be a testament to how strong he has become, going through even stricter training after his defeat at the hands of Garou, even skipping out on the festival and its events to steady and hone his body, mind, and tank top to be ready for this moment exactly, and whether it was because of that or the monsters were weak didn't matter as he continued forwards almost unscathed from the monsters that he encountered.
He continued forward they continuing to get stronger and stronger and eventually he found some that he couldn't kill with one punch, two massive Cyclops monsters had gotten the jump on him once slamming down with both of their massive weapons, he managed to raise his arms and block both of the strikes but a third one caught him dead in the chest forcing him backward, the attack was nice he felt it at least but his tank top seemed to dampen its effects the three large 4-meter guards charged at him and he met them equally with a tank top tackle the guards struck out at him during his charge but each of their weapons were destroyed along with their bodies as he passed by, he breaved out a single sigh taking a glance back to ensure that they were dead before continuing to move forwards. There was massive shaking that shook the entire room he was in and caused the ceiling around him to start collapsing. He quickly dodged out of the way of some of the falling ceiling before moving more cautiously as the rumble continued. He sat in shock as a massive hole stretched from deep into the monster association base up to the top of the surface.
His feeling of accomplishment and smugness completely left him as he stared at the sheer scale of destruction presented. He heard over the radio a short time later that the child emperor had defeated one of the cadres, so he assumed that blast must have been his. He guessed he still had a long way to go to beat out machine power, but while deflated, he didn't lose spirit and that he would eventually do so as he continued on his pathway. He didn't know if that attack just now was a simple overkill or if that level of power was actually needed to put down one of the cadres. He didn't know, but the answer to that question would make a world of difference in whether he could take one on or not, and he didn't want to find that out during battle. However, despite his worries, he still had to press forward. According to the child emperor, the child was taken away by some other monsters. He was shocked to hear that the child prodigy had made it to the surface, and he checked his location to ensure that who they were listening to wasn't an imposter. It wasn't, thankfully enough, as he remarked that he had managed to make it to the top again in almost no time flat. Of course, it made more sense when he explained that Flash had helped him out with doing so. He informed everyone to keep on the lookout for the child now that he was on the move and told them to report if they managed to find him.
Tank Top Master continued his venture, searching around for any clues as to where the child could be. He didn't shame the Child Emperor for losing the child, given the opponent he was facing. He turned down a hallway and entered a separate hallway. It seemed empty enough, but he still ensured to pass through with caution. However, there seemed to be no need. However, that single lull moment was a precursor to a large group of monsters coming at him all at once. He could have bulldozed through them all, but instead, he opted to grab the floor beneath them and lift upwards, holding a massive boulder in his hands, which he used to go bowling, hurling it with his tank top throw. The large bolder completely pulverized the incoming monsters all at once; none escaped its wrath other than some of the flying bats and bird-like monsters, which attempted to dive bomb him, but a few more throws with smaller rocks put them to rest just like the others as he continued to move forward.
Now that the child was on the loose meant that they needed to avoid large scale attacks that could produce collateral damage he assume that was the main reason child emperor decided to separate them, all of them produce large scale attacks and could mess up each others rhythm but if they needed help meant they had more room to cover before they could, he knew that the non-killing army was close by so they could also provide aid if they so needed it but he was still worrired in the advent if he needed help what would he do, he continued forwards nonetheless and came upon another group of monsters but something strange happened none of the monsters attacked him at all and in fact all of them had put their arms or in some cases the closest substitute to it up in the air signaling their surrender, he didn't know what to actually due with them he didn't drop his guard for one moment though but something they said did caught his attention as one of them spoke about leaving towards the non-killing army for an escape. To any of the other heroes, that likely would have set off red flags, and he was probably no different in that regard as well, but he reluctantly let the small five-man group leave and pass by him. He was certain they were going to try and attack him again, but after another five minutes of walking later, it became clear that that wasn't happening.
This immediately led him to radio into the surface to see what was happening with the non-killing army and what they were doing. Sure, saving monsters was their entire goal at this point, but this seemed to be too much. The monsters of the association seemed a bit eccentric for his take; they were hellbent on exterminating humanity, and gathering even some of their members could only lead to more problems in the future if they decided to get bold again.
He received a comment back from Tank Top Philosopher that they indeed were helping certain monsters that wanted to surrender escape and go into a large enclosure that they had created for them and that so far they haven't had any incidents from the monsters at least, and Tank Top Master asked for the man to explain further, and apparently, they had been attacked, but not by monsters but by the other heroes. Of course, none of the tank toppers were invited to the parlay, but there had been major movements from all of the surface squads, and apparently, the situation seemed to have been settled so far as the rated heroes returned to their stations. Tank Top Master simply acknowledged that and told him to keep him posted if anything else happened, especially with Tentacole and his group. There was another even more massive vibration that seemed to shake the entire monster association and maybe even beyond, and just five minutes later, a sudden transmission came over the comms again.
It was someone's voice he hasn't recognized before and he was fumbling with the communications but the overall message was that the boss orochi was dead and he killed him, there was stark silence that hung over everyone as they let that message sink in and probably just like him, the other S-class heroes they all checked the man's position on the map and sure enough he had already made it down to where they believed the boss should be located or so close enough to it the marker indicated that the person was "king" but it was just his apprentice damn, Tank Top Master thought if this was how strong his apprentice was then the man himself must have been something truly even more spectacular he realized. The group all began to congratulate him on a job well done. Even Tatsumaki remarked that he did well, but she expected nothing less of someone related to King and hoped to meet him on the surface later on, but they still had a child to look for, so, for now, he should search around as well.
Once the shock wore off tank top master continued his search for the child when there was another announcement over the coms this time it was from tatsumaki herself, the girl remarked that she had defeated Gyoro-Gyoro and stated that she had the actual mastermind in custody, she managed to squeeze out of the person that there had been other prisoner besides the child which was the hero hunter garou and the private mercenary squad another surprising voice answered her it was green savior which told her that the narinki's mercenary squad has already been saved along with the other captives of DO-S before discussion could fully commence about that however it was sweet mask that came in asking for help against one of the cadre.
Tank Top Master quickly surveyed his map on the idol position and was about to confirm that he would be on his way to help; unfortunately, Green Savior had already beat him to it. He could see something not marked with a name making its way to his position in record time before he could even figure out the best way he could make his way down, even considering taking the giant hole in the base to make his time easier. He passed by it a couple of times on his travels downward into the bowels of the association. He hummed in thought at what he should do, but it seemed that the emergency beacon was already deactivated. In that case, he guesses he should just get back on track.
As soon as he thought that he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and he was suddenly overcome by a harsh shadow, he quickly turned around to see what it was and could just make out white electrical energy strake out, but he was too slow, and the thing hit him directly in the chest. The force sent him flying through three separate walls before he finally landed in an open, barren room. He assessed the damage to himself. There was a horrible throbbing pain in his chest, and his tank top, while still intact, had a large, dark discoloration from the impact he just took.
He rose to a shaky knee, but something felt off; both of his arms and legs felt incredibly numb, and his movements were stiff. Whatever hit him was something strong, he thought, and to answer his thoughts, the monster that did so made its appearance known. It was a surprising monster; it lacked a flesh and blood body seemingly being made of pure white energy instead, the only thing that was physical about him was scattered bits of metallic substance in the center now and along the outline of his arms and legs. It faces just full-white electricity with scattered bits of metal, allowing it to emote and react similarly to a human face.
"I finally ran into you, man. You would think that the heroes would stick together when assaulting the monster base and not just scatter, but that's fine; it just makes my job easier." The energy monster spoke, and Tank Top Master got to his feet with some effort. It seemed like his entire body was numb and spasming. Was it a side effect of his attack just now?
"I'm surprised you could stand up after that. Normally, people hit by my attacks are paralyzed instantly or fried completely." The monster spoke again, stepping foot in the room. Just by the act alone, the room smelled almost completely charged, and everything around him felt charged.
"Hey, since I got a cheap shot at you, I'll let you get a lick in, if you can stand that is" The monster remarked with a small laugh, and Tank Top Master rose to the challenge.
"Well, I'll take you up on that offer then, but don't regret it in the afterlife." Tank Top Master responded.
"That's the spirit; I don't like picking on the weak very much. When Gyoro-Gyoro said you were going to be my opponent, I was pretty disappointed. You know, the hero association originally dispatched both atomic samurai and tatsumaki to deal with me, right? The name's energizer, by the way," energizer remarked.
"You sure do talk a lot for a monster." tank top master remarked as he got into his pose, he was going to use a full-power tank top tackle to flatten this monster completely he didn't care if what it said was true or just a bluff to scare him but he knew one thing that this monster was strong no doubt about that there was no need to hold back as he charged forth in a fully-fledged tank top tackle he should have been worried about a counter-attack or some sort of plot or trap waiting for him but it was far too late for that now if he didn't take the opportunity he didn't know if one would present itself, especially from how hard that first attacked rocked him like and judging from his expression it didn't even seem like an attack it put much effort in.
Tank top master continued his tackle and true to the monster's words it did not dodge or move away from his attack deciding to just stand there with its hands wide open waiting to embrace him when his attack finally arrived he was completely shocked both physically and mentally by how his attack did nothing the monster barely budged and to make matters even worse the numbing sensation in his arms turned into a blinding pain as his forearms touched the creature there was some sort of discharge from the creature that sent him flying backward into a wall pain ruptured through his spine and flowed to the rest of his body in an almost deadly wave he slid down from the wall and could barely remain standing as he dropped to a knee and forced himself up but the truly frightening thing was that he no longer held any feeling in his arms as they hung loosely by his sides.
"Oof yeah, that's about what I'd expect from you, hmmm. If I were Goketsu, he would probably say something like, "You have 10 seconds to stand up." Well, that wouldn't work since you are standing. Well, let's fix that then." The monster remarked casually as he held out its hand, and energy erupted from it, striking at Tank Top Master's legs and causing him to drop instantly to the ground. His legs were spasming way out of control as the pain seemed to scream through every nerve.
"That's better, so now that you have 10 seconds, you better get up or this next attack will kill you," Energizer remarked casually as the tank-top master could only stand and stare at the large build-up of energy.
Kaminari and Volten were slowly but steadily making there way up the whole way back up to the surface Kaminari instantly regretted doing such a thing since he didn't realize how far low they had actually fallen nearly going down to a third of the bases height, he was still working on his electric walk as he termed it to stick to the side of buildings so that he could scale things and Volten used that as the perfect opportunity to do so however since the whole wasn't a complete filled out and had multiple hallow gaps in between where rooms were he also had to use his bolt ability to scale over the gaps, volten remarked that it was good training given that if they weren't doing this they would just be standing around on the surface doing nothing and he couldn't really deny that, being up top was reasonably boring but being inside was also pretty dangerous so it was like a catch 22, he jumped at the chance to see the mech in action as he knew it would be a sight to see and while he couldn't actually see given he was in the things backpacks but he had the foresight to strap some of his pointers on the outside of it which had camera which means he's got the footage which he definitely was going to be showing off, although their was a chance that they get to see it again given that child emperor had momo create another one but hopefully it wouldn't be necessary.
Speaking of which another problem with dealing with being inside was that there was the occasional monster conflict obviously, he didn't want to kill them but sometimes they wouldn't listen to reason or maybe they couldn't be reasoned with which left him conflicted although Volten had no such conflictions as he completely fried them to the very core, he was his teacher and in this circumstance, his protector as well if the monster didn't want to listen to him then that was their fault and he would strike them down like the fight to the death that they wanted, but he still felt bad but at least some of them heeded his words and left out but only time would tell if they just ran away from them to attack someone else or were going to head to the escape route.
He hoped that the monsters that escaped weren't planning on trying to break out of the exhibit they were going to be in a world of hurt if they attempted to do so by metal knight they hoped the welcoming committee could also convince them that they were being sincere about not hurting them but maybe after this fight the monster will fully understand the heroes power and forgo all of that entirely it was something they all respected after all and if they could live by themselves for months or potentially even a year than they could do the same over in the preserve without the need to attack the humans.
He doesn't know if coexistence would have been possible or not but maybe..despite the overwhelmingly negative opinions of their group there had been a couple of counter-groups giving their support, monster sympathizers had been mostly very deep black web stuff that no one would mention in public but since their arrival, they had been bolder, especially after the invasion however that was them taking advantage of the nihilistic takes of other citizens in most part from that same invasion.
He didn't know how far that would go after this was all said and done and the heroes won; however, more so, when they left metal, Knight may drop his support of the preserve and leave it to rot, and at that point, they would have to rely on the other association executive members, but from what he's been told, they have less than good intentions for them except the K-city folk; they were all just interested in continuing their research into monsters unimpededly. Hopefully, they will take up the reigns once they are gone, but only time will tell.
The two, for a moment, stopped their scaling when both of them sensed a large source of energy. Volten remarked that he felt such a power before from none other than Energizer, a cadre, and to his point, the rampant build-up had interfered with both of their powers, causing them to falter and begin to fall, and shockingly, to their rescue was none other than Max and Genji. The two fellow apprentices slid down the hole on roller skates using the circular rings and rode along at incredible speed, one snatching each of their hands, allowing them to pull them over to a lip to safety inside one of the vacant rooms.
The first question, other than thanks for the save, was: What were the two of them doing down there? They had made their way up a decent bit, crossing the hallway point of their journey, but there were still a few minutes left before they reached the surface about 500 meters above. Genji and Max explained that they were sent to observe whatever made the whole thing down here and were set on overwatch in case monsters began to use it to escape onto the surface again. Using his binoculars, Max spotted the two of them coming up, and they came down there to meet them to get a sense of the situation and see if they needed help.
Well, they appreciated it at least somewhat but now wasn't the time as the two of them sensed another large build-up of energy they had a choice to make at this point to see if they could help whoever it was that was fighting energizer despite the risk or hope that whichever S-class was fighting could handle it on their own and the choice was never in doubt at least for Kaminari, all of the S-class was probably way stronger than him but they were still human and more than susceptible to the monsters powers the very least he could do was help them out in that regard if he could destabilize its main advantage point it would go a long way in fighting and that went double sense volten was their with him.
The two unanimously agreed that they would go help whoever was facing energizer but volten remarked that he should radio for back in any case even with the type advantage the monster likely would still be very tough to confront on their own especially if an S-class hero was struggling and Kaminari did exactly that, for the other two there was only another short conversation regarding what they would do and of course they wanted to help out as well, this was a little iffier to do but the two of them had worked out something that should offer them a similar edge that they had just to an lesser extent, they had coated both Max and Genji in his lighting shroud, it put them into a similar state to his lightning god offering many of the same benefits but just at a lighter scale than to himself, the four of them quickly launched off and away towards the center of where the large power source was coming from ducking and dodging through the hallways until finally they made their way in, both Kaminari and Volten took the lead in getting in front of the downed S-class hero not only intercepting the blast that was headed his way but also absorbing it into themselves, both of their lighting turned from blue and yellow to a pure white. As the attack cleared, Energizer took notice of the four new arrivals.
"Oh, volten, what's up, man? I didn't think that you survived the Garou rescue operations. Where have you been? I see you made some friends as well; does that mean you decided to team up with the humans to save yourself?" The energizer remarked simply with his arms crossed, leaning against a concrete pillar.
"I had always sided with humanity from the very start. I implore you to do the same," Volten asked, and the monster cocked his head to the side one way, then the other.
"No can do, compadre; unlike you, I don't have a human form; what you see is what you get. Humans aren't going to leave me alone, even if I try to just hide out in peace," the energizer replied.
"What if I said we found a new place? Where you will be left... mostly alone. No one's going to bother you, and the association already knows about it and has even signed off on it." Karminari argued.
"You're with the non-killing army, right? I guess I can't say that you're completely lying, but if the association knows about this place and what's stopping them from turning it into a crater, there must be some sort of catch to it." energizer shot back.
"What if we said that Orochi has already been defeated? Would that change your mind?" Volten replied, seeing as how Kaminari had to formulate a response to that. In truth, none of them knew the catch of the executive's decision; they knew about the plan to have a controllable monster king, but what they would do afterward was a mystery to them. The monster jumped off the pillar he was leaning on in utter shock.
"There's no way; you've got to be pranking me or something. Hold on, let me check," the energizer remarked before he suddenly extended both of his hands outwards, and the four lightings each got ready and huddled around Tank Top Master. Out of nowhere, the monster shot forth a burst of lighting that filled the room, creating multiple pathways and holes from where it left off. The four of them struggled against the massive wave of energy for three seconds before it suddenly vanished.
"Hmmm….well, he's still alive. I can recognize his heartbeat anywhere, but it is pretty slow. Maybe whoever faced him didn't finish the job, or he won the fight with heavy damage. Surprising either way from that behemoth of a titan, has any of the S-class been defeated yet?" Energizer asked simply, and Kaminari tapped on his communications unit and checked up on any of them. Surprisingly, the "King" beacon was gone off the map, which was slightly worrying, maybe it could have been a malfunction, but other than that, everyone else seemed to be fine.
"Nope, all of them are still moving along well enough, and two of your guys are already down for the count. The cadre, I mean," Kaminari replied.
"I saw that, and it seemed like Nyan ran away from his target... Hmmm, ok, here's the deal. You see this small orb in the center of my being. That's, well, let's call it my central nervous system. If you can manage to press the button in the center, then my body will close in on itself and lock me up. If you manage that, then sure, I'll go with you." energizer remarked.
"Ah, can't we just skip the fighting, though?" Kaminari half-complained as he got ready.
"Nope, I don't trust humans. Yeah, you non-killing army guys are cool and all, but I doubt there are many like you. But it seems that we're losing this battle, so either I die here or potentially die over wherever you're going to send me, but if I'm going to die, I would rather go out fighting," the energizer remarked simply.
"Well, we thank you for the information. We will surely attempt to put that to good use, but before we begin, I do hope that you could honor a request of mine to not kill us if we lose." volten remarked.
"Sure, why not? You guys aren't trying to kill me so I can return the favor; the S-class can't, though. I was instructed to kill him, so you all better fight to the very best of your abilities, the energizer remarked casually, pointing to the down S-class struggling to stand up behind them. Kaminari sucked in a breath.
"No pressure then," he remarked with a nervous chuckle.
As soon as his chuckle stopped, the next thing anyone knew was two explosions rocking the room that they were in as bakugo and "bakugo" entered the scene.
"Yo explodo, dude, back for a rematch? You have a twin as well," the energizer remarked casually.
""You're damn right, you opened the power line... Stop repeating what I say!"" Bakugo remarked to his twin, who was giving him an echo.
"What I'm trying to give you is a cool echo!" It yelled back, and Bakugo nearly just snarled at his imposter before turning back to face the monster he was about to attack. When Kaminari got in his way, he quickly explained what the situation was before he started clouding him in a lighting shroud before he told Eris to transform into himself as it would probably be better for the fight coming up, and the others out of the know stared in shock at the shapeshifters abilities transforming into a direct copy of Kaminari before they all faced off against the monster.
"Humm, monsters, and humans fighting side by side—you think you have never seen the day. Well, this should be fun at least." energizer remarked as he cracked his non-physical knuckles. The four lightings took off first directly at the monster each lashing out with an attack of their own, the monster blocked and dodged most of them before returning with an explosive wave of power, this explosive wave while succeeding in pushing everyone back was completely absorbed by the second kaminari that had also entered into its lighting god form and charged at him, when it charged at him at was faster than the others along when he blocked its first strike it was also heavier so it wasn't just an exact copy but still kept the strength of its monster self interesting he thought as he circled with a gut punch that sent the monster flying backward.
The attack left him open to attacks from the explodo from behind him, as two large blasts rocked him from behind, unlike the other two he shot out two beams of lighting at the blonde boy in retaliation but he was surprised when he blocked with his gauntlets, he didn't have time to take to much time and analyze what happened. As he turned around to see Volten charging back at him, he flared with a punch straight to his chest. He felt the impact of the punch, and the man was also stronger than when he saw him last, but it still wasn't enough to stop him. Even with him using his power against him, he could still just outmuscle the other monster easily, as he quickly grabbed the offending hand and picked him up before slamming him into the ground.
Before he could punch downwards at the monster he noticed the twins assault him one from behind and the other from the front he only needed to worry about one of them but he couldn't decipher which one so he had to block both as they lashed out with straight jabs on either side he grabbed both offending hands and judging on the attacks judged that the one behind him was the true danger as he completely turned his back to the one in front of him, he felt multiple impacts on his back but none of which were anything he couldn't ignore as he lashed out with a kick at the imposter the force of which pushed it flying backward even through its block but before he could press the advantage several explosions rocked the area around him and two heavy thumps struck him in the head, his head was forced downwards from the blow but he grabbed the explosive boys offending hand and rose back up with a knee strike straight to the boys gut sending him upwards into the through the ceiling.
four simultaneously strikes hit him in the back nearly tipping him over although the damage was fairly meager the world around with an arm sent out a large shockwave which left his back open to the stronger threats as was struck the back this time having some impact making him slightly grunt in pain he continued to pressure the stronger targets first hopping to just get others out of the way as he shot out another beam of energy but this was hardened from before more compact almost like a construct he wagered they wouldn't be able to absorb it enough to disrupt it, he aimed for the legs and arms to avoid a killing blow but it seemed he may have underestimated the small fry a bit as they disappeared even from his sight, in a blinding speed of electricity, before moving towards his south and west flanks the two of them were both carrying one of the other two humans in their grasp. He was blindsided when he was stabbed in the back by the imposter clone, but it received an elbow for its troubles as he continued to focus on the other four. It seemed that both Volten and the other one could also use hardened constructs with their electricity. He smiled as he picked the sword out of his chest and threw it at Volten. The monster was able to deflect the blow with one of his own; he was surrounded as multiple swords were thrown his way from each direction.
Energizer pumped up over each of them but forgot about one of his targets as bakugo came back down and rained down on the monster with an AP-autocannon barrage of attacks shook the area they were in as he continued rain down attacks on the monsters before they could crashing it through the floor, energizer was notably hurt by the attack as his body was unstable for a breif moment making it's movements slower than before as volten , kaminari, and eris were able to throw multiple lighting swords directly into the monster but despite that it recovered and shot upwards with a massive energy wave, kaminari, eris , and volten absorbed all that they could before redirecting the rest away, using kamainri's pointers he was able to direct the blast directly back at the monsters causing it force to cover itself as the energy impacted it blinding it for a moment as all five members of the lighting committee struck along the monsters head forcing it down from the impact but it rose up just as quickly letting out a burst of energy that sent the other five of them scattering but they had just been making way for bakugo as he came down after the monster energy dissipated, he slammed down directly in front of the monster and put both of his hands on the monsters chest and used his explosive cannon times 12, 12 cannos urupted from his gaunlets and a massive explosion blasted upwards creating a massive blastwave that tunnled upwards through the monster association nearly reaching the surface.
From the attack, the monster was even more destabilized but was recovering quickly until both Volten, Eris, and Kaminari used their power to stop the monster's recovery and even expand the whole that was generated. Both Genji and Max sprinted forward, and one using their knee and baton slammed towards the center, breaking and absorbing the rest of the defending lighting, allowing Bakugo to reach in grab the ball, and press the button in the center. All of the electricity that constituted the energizer form started to come together along with the metal that made up its appendages, snapping into the form of the metal ball.
"I win," Bakugo remarked simply.
"You mean "we" won," the energizer replied back.
"He's right, bakugo; don't try to hog all the credit." Kaminari commented
"Tch, whatever," Bakugo commented as he threw the ball towards the electric teen, who was fumbling it for several moments before finally securing it and scanning over it.
"You can see out of this thing?" kaminari asked
"Nah, I can still hear things and talk, obviously," the energizer replied.
"I see. Well, we should all get back to the surface." volten remarked
"Yeah, we need to report to Sekingar." Genji replied
"I agree; Shadowman and Dragon Lord are getting antsy with Sigismund being away," Eris remarked, returning to her normal form.
"Oh wow, look at her." Max commented.
"That's a guy, technically. It's a long story we'll explain while on the way." kaminari spoke as they all started to leave, eris transformed into Toru and used his light manipulation to create a large bubble that they could use to transport them out of the large hole dropping the two disciples off, Kaminari and Volten were sure to absorb the lighting shroud before they left the two of them as having that on them would wreak havoc on their bodies nervous system if they left it on for to long, the crew took tank top master with them in the hopes that could help the man out his legs were still paralyzed and both Volten and Kaminari were working on them and his arms but they seemed too far gone they didn't feel any of the nerve endings in the man arms.
He potentially could never use them again, Energizer remarked that it was no surprise to him, when he told the guy to hit him he didn't expect him to do it physically he was made of living energy after all with a big laugh at the absurdity of the move, Tank Top Master simply remarked it was his strongest attack he had weighed the risk of doing that or an alternative method but he wanted to ensure that he tried his best. Kaminari just hoped that perhaps Saren could help out once he gets here with his magic, but forgetting that for now, he sent a message to the others that they had succeeded and were coming back, and the others replied with good news, such as that the child seemed to have been located by Sol and that Midoriya was headed back with another of the cadre.
A Hidden Threat: Sweet mask, Pig god, Atomic's disciples, Fubuki, Tokoyami, GFlame
"You had me waiting! It looks like you're quite the voracious eater yourself; you'll be the perfect appetizer for me. I am the great food tub, the all-consuming gluttony monster who leaves nothing behind." The monster boasted as it looked down on its victim, the S-class hero pig god of the hero association. He could tell by his overextended stomach, which seemed packed full of worming monsters, that he had fought like him, swallowing things whole, but now it was his time to be eaten. He dwarfed the hero in size, being three times larger, and he would go down smoothly. The extra monster in his stomach will only serve to feed him as well; it's going to be like eating a pinata whole.
"After I'm done eating you, your companions will join you soon after!" Food Tub screamed as he rushed his head forward, his jaw open wide. However, the next thing he knew, he briefly saw the hero morph or something as the man's jaw seemingly detached from his lower mouth, but the next thing he could feel was darkness and the burning sensation as something hit his mouth—it wasn't blood but acid? He closed his mouth and attempted to pull back, but he found himself trapped in whatever had him. The acid continued to eat away, but he would continue to fight until the end; he wouldn't be bested this easily!
The disciples stopped as sudden vibrations shook the area they were in, which meant that one of the S-class would have been fighting close by. They did not need a concert since the person was an S-class hero, but it was of some comfort to know one was close by for support if they had managed to get overrun by a monster. Speaking of being overrun, the group needed to focus on their battles instead of ones further away as a group of individuals began to approach them. Their master had granted them an opportunity to take independent action as a form of fire training, as he likely expected them to perform up to his expectations and not fail him. They continued down their path, killing monsters that came along their way.
For the most part, all of the monsters had been easier than the rhino creature that Iaian had faced on the surface. There were some slight concerns about them moving off on their own, if that was going to be the case, but it seems that it was just an exceptional member sent out with the grunts. They still needed to worry about the cadre; they would be hopelessly outmatched if they ran into one of them, but even despite the danger, they had still managed to convince their master to allow them independent action.
They proceeded to butcher their way through the monsters as they progressed. The group came across Sweet Mask, other than Okamaitachi fangirling out over the star, when Ian suggested that they go together and move as a unit, but the pop star remarked that he was more of a solo performer and preferred to work alone. The group understood as they progressed on their own as well.
They proceeded forward through a couple of corridors. It became evident where Sweet Mask had been and where he hadn't given the monster bodies. They proceeded forward, walking mostly aimlessly; they didn't have an objective, and they would have hoped to help the idol star accomplish his, given that the man was working on his way to whatever objective he had. The trio had been hearing strange voices going down one hallway and decided to investigate it, taking their time and peeking around a corner at a disturbing sight.
"Is that a monster? No, it's Mr. Pig God. Bushidrill remarked
"How…how could it be? What about the laws of physics? How could he even digest that?" Iaian replied.
"I don't know... This doesn't look like something we were supposed to see." bushidrill replied
"Agreed. Let's find another way around." okamaitachi replied
The three disciples circumvented the large monster-eating man and continued on their journey. They encountered a semi-open space with two stairwells heading upward and downward. They didn't have much of a hunch on where to go, so after they were done killing the monster, they were going to have a vote on which route to take, but they were soon disturbed when they sensed a murderous intent. Each of the three reacted instantly, blocking the strands of something coming up from the floor. They welcomed the challenge and cut the ground to meet the monster head-on. This monster was humanoid in appearance and wore white attire with thigh-high black boots and black gloves. His jacket has intricate black embroidery and feathers. The things that came up from the floor had been its massive hair and seemingly having a mind of its own as it floated and moved next to the monster's body.
Both bushidrill and Iaian prepared for combat against this opponent however okamaitachi was stone still, the girl was enamored by the look of the monster, and its open extravagant style was calling to her like an invitation but she couldn't a human and monster romance was forbidden and it wouldn't work out between them, she was snapped out of her thought by Iaian as he elbowed her in the shoulder and told her to use her air blade against the monster and bushidrill yelling at "him" to get it together bushidrill only would call her that to get her attention which prompted her to call him jealous but Iaian quickly got them back on track before anymore counter arguing could happen especially in the presence of an enemy.
Okamaitchi used her airblade again to attack the monster. After verbally rejecting the monster's feelings and attacking it with her airblade butt, the monster was able to counter the attack with thick strands of hair almost casually, and all of the disciples were surprised by the feat. The air blade was an almost divine technique that I couldn't hope to replicate. The move was created by slashing the air at an incredible speed within a certain angle to create a sickle of air that cut all of the hardest targets, but hair seemed to beg to differ for such a thing.
Okamaitachi suddenly felt a prick in her feet, and Bushidrill yelled a warning to the women that something was coming up from beneath her. She thought quickly and leaped into the air. The strings of hair followed after her, and she sliced them, but two more strands came at her from a different angle, hoping to skewer her through the face, but Bushidrill was there to protect her, stabbing and stopping the attack. She thanked him, and the three disciples looked towards the monster while Iaian held point, listing off the things that they would have to watch out for.
The monster's hair was finer than the edge of any blade and small enough to easily sneak through the spaces of body and armor; they could not afford to overlook any attack. The monster likely held many attack patterns, such as piercing, binding, restraining, and severing attacks. He may have the advantage of being close, but if I can get close enough, I can cut him even while he's guarding my idado. That was their plan of action to allow Iaian to get close enough to use the Iai slash, which would hopefully put the monster down. In a surprising turn of events, however, the monster lifted itself with its hair and came towards them; its hair was digging into the ground, going into the corners of the room, and attacking from almost every direction.
Each of the disciples knew what to do; they couldn't possibly keep track of all the strands of hair in the room by purely using their eyes, so they closed them. The extra stimuli would only serve to distract their senses, so now they would only rely on pure instinct, feeling along with the murderous aura and counter-attacking with their reflexes. The typical human head has over 100,000 strands of hair with only three blades; they need to stop over 33,000 each.
If they hesitated or missed for a moment, their vital organs would be pierced, and they couldn't afford to let their guard down. The monsters, as Iaian said, turned to different types of attacks, actually picking up debris from the surroundings and throwing it at them. Due to the environment not possessing a murderous aura, he completely bypassed their instinct, scoring a direct hit against Bushidrill. He fell back with a pained grunt, and the other two opened their eyes and saw. Okamaitachi was closer to the man than Iaian was, so she was quick to cover him, just like he had covered for her before.
The segregated formation allowed the monster to wrap the two of them in stands of its hair but its main focus was on Iaian who had been getting closer and closer through the valley of it all trying to remain tall through the flurry as his face was cut as his legs felt stings of slashes and pokes, he yelled out to the others to remember what their master told them about fighting a monster that they could not beat as a normal human, they had to do it now, they had to they'll have to go beyond human even if the S-class like their master, tatsumaki, pig god has long since surpassed human limits they were still far behind them but the least they could do is follow them and this was their chance.
Okamaitachi and Bushidrill were emboldened by the speech and fought to escape their binds. Bushidrill unsheathed his blade, using the blade inside of it to free the both of them, and the two quickly caught up to Iaian, aiding the man in pushing forward through the barrage of hair. Their eyes remained open, but their instincts fielded their movement. They were improving; the three of them together worked as one; they were no longer three separate blades but one; they held no blindspot as they could cover for the other, and this left them with the most important value, which was time. Now their combination could not only defend and counter but also defend and attack.
The three of them proceeded faster and faster, cutting the hair consistently, even enough to predict where the hair would be before it got there. The group pushed through and got Iain in prime positions for one singular strike, and that was all he needed. The one-armed man lashed out with his fastest strike possible horizontally across the top of the monster's head while the others dealt with the hair, attempting to intercept him. The monster leaped backward, but Iain believed that it was already too late. They had won; they surpassed their limits then, and as the monster's hair completely fell out of his head and fell to the ground, the three of them still stood victorious. They just needed to catch their breath for a moment before moving on to their next trial. Whatever it may be, if it was as strong as that, they may need to be concerned, but if that was all they had, then they didn't have to be concerned about their master.
Mirror: Sweet Mask, Midoriya, Atomic samurai, silver chain
Sweet Mask has been making his way through the monster association; he wasn't too surprised when he got word from Child Emperor that he had let the hostage be moved from his position; all of the S-class were so incapable even with the information given to them. They still find ways to mess up, he thought with a sigh. He honestly should have taken matters into his own hands instead of leaving it up to them. He did have to give them at least some credit. At least three of the 10 cadres have been neutralized this early into the battle, so at least they could kill monsters because of the very basic nature of their jobs.
He thought with a sigh as he continued on his journey. As he thought of a better way to use the information available to them, he would have just buried down directly to the location indicated on the map, rescued the child first, and pulled back from there. But in doing so, he would be relying on the information from the monster. He was still technically speaking; the data Child Emperor provided in combination with the data "Drive Knight" provided allowed him to instantly head toward his assignment, which was to eliminate the Monsters Association lab facilities.
He continued to ruthlessly slice and kill the monsters to the point that they had been running from him but they wouldn't get far none of them would escape his purge, they were insects that needed to be exterminated for the sake of humanity and he was the exterminator but he couldn't just run around loosely indulging in the carnage of the slaughter he had a mission to take care of searching for the so-called labs the monster's association contained he would destroy them, technology made by monsters shouldn't exist on this planet and were heresy, these painful dull machines he dealt with on his travels were a test to that while he didn't like to praise the S-class in any regard in comparison to the drones metal knight creates they were nothing more than toys.
As he finally set foot in the lab, he came across a partially surprising sight. The monsters on this floor had all seemingly been killed already; there had been a number of them sliced to ribbons, leaving the lab mostly barren. He checked around the place and still found some of the facilities in order, which means whoever was here didn't do a good job on their mission, but who else could have been down on this level of the base?
He checked over his map and looked at all the beacons, which seemed to all be on their proper paths given to them besides that of the child emperor, who was operating on a different path than the rest of them. However, he was still too far away to have been here, and he did not notice. It could have been a flash; he possessed the speed to have gone here and then back within an instant, but he would have no purpose in doing so. It could have been infighting of some kind. It was all strange, so he proceeded with caution as he made his way through the lab, destroying as many canisters and computers as he could.
He saw something flash by him, but maybe it was a trick of the light because, as he turned to look at what he assumed was there, nothing seemed to be present. He figured that he was just getting anxious over nothing; if there was a monster present waiting to ambush him, he would be able to take it out with grace and speed, just like the others.
15 minutes before
Slviya had finally managed to make her way down towards the lab of the Monster Association base. She had to proceed quickly and quietly to ensure that her mission wouldn't be compromised. Her taking a detour to kill off one of the ninjas was nothing but for personal leisure for her, and it also alerted flashes to her presence. If he decided to give her up, then she would have to explain her actions to the hero association, which she would need to plan for and come up with some type of rationale for.
Her mission, her last mission for the clan was a simple one which was to capture as many monster cells for the clan as possible given their relatively small boost of power she would argue that it wasn't worth the risk of gathering them but any amount of additional strength and research was deemed valuable to them, she pondered Katsuki's question some times wondering if her clan would be able to be corrupted if they gain a significant amount of power and she still did not know the answer to that question or not, so far they have been a benevolent force taking in stray women who have been unlucky enough to been subjected to the harsh reality of the criminal underworld and training them to combat such threats so that it wouldn't happen again but what if there came a time where no such thing existed what would they do then?
Would they disband? Or would they simply move on to something else? They likely doubt and are banking on underworld activities never stopping, and in truth, they likely would be correct in that regard, but continuing to amass strength could be a cause for concern, or at least it would, if not for Saitama, that man could take care of any threat that manages to come from this world or even the next. She had heard over the communications network that he had already managed to defeat Orochi, which was a fairly sizeable accomplishment given that the monster king was at least a very strong dragon-level threat able to extend control to 10 others along with thousands of monsters.
She never minded the others as she finally arrived at the lab, she killed the guards and gathered the scientists and engineers into a huddle any of the more brazen ones that tried to attack her were quickly eliminated, and the first thing she did was hand them a datapad and tasked them with downloading all of their data onto it as much as they could anyways, the second thing she asked for was that they filled up the four containers she carried with her to the brim with the monsters cells once both were acquired she was going to take her leave however she knew the importance of the scientist and engineers would be to the cause so she instructed them of the non-killing armies escape route and telling them that they should head for that area and to show them that she was being sincere she open up her map display and showed an Icon and told them that sweet mask was headed this way and he wouldn't be as nice as she was being he would just kill them all so they better get moving.
The scientist and engineer huddled up together and murmured a bit amongst themselves before taking their leave, just like she instructed, paying close attention not to get in the way of where the idol was coming from. She could have led them there herself, but on top of not wanting to be seen helping monsters out, she also needed to ensure that the monster cells were properly secure and ready for transport.
She took longer than she expected as the idol walked into the large lab, forcing her into hiding. She had to wait a few moments for her opportunity to escape but managed to escape without being noticed. She started up and away now that part of her mission was complete she just needed to make it back to the surface and the drop-off point and she could be back to help the others, her second comm link sparked and at this moment she paused SOS beacons lit up for a couple of the S-class heroes but what made her pause was that Katsuki was going to help one of them, she hesitated for a moment but she received a direct message from him telling her that it was fine and she could continue with her mission, she still paused not wanting to leave it to chance especially with Katsuki's overconfidence but eventually she wanted to trust him that he could take care of himself but promised her to leave if the situation grew too difficult and he did so, with that she continued on her way.
Sweet Mask took a look around and spotted something interesting; it was a massive structure bigger than the rest of them by a wide margin. The massive glass containers contained something, and it even seemed like things were dropping into them. Sweet Mask was curious about what the contraption did, and from taking a closer look at the large containers, he noticed that inside of them were monster cells going off of the monster's information. He knew that these were monster cells, and what they were doing inside there he didn't know, but he knew that nothing good could come of it, so it would be destroyed as well, but it could just be rebuilt. So it seemed as long as this orochi survived, that would mean it could continue to make more of these disgusting things. He remarked as he quickly cut the two large contraptions apart and left the room from the ensuing explosion.
He stepped into another room, partially overcome by a foreboding shadow. He quickly turned and was shocked when he found only his mirror there in its place, as a reflection stared back at him. Now that he had calmed down, he was looking over himself in the mirror, examining himself to make sure there was a single hair or blemish out of place. He would likely have to push back his schedule due to the child emperor's negligence. His communications unit sparked over for a moment, and he listened to the broken audio message as if someone had managed to kill Orochi already.
Curiosity got the better of him and he looked at the map and saw that it was "king" now when he heard the news of this secrete king's apprentice he was very much intrigued now he give that he was someone that king himself took interest in he was sure to be strong but he wanted to meet the disciple and offer his input, king was a decent hero he filled in one of his criteria boxes when purely speaking of strength someone that can't be beaten but he failed in almost every other metric when being a hero, his public image and style were completely underutilized and he dressed like a shut-in that never leaves his home most of the time he doesn't do interviews or shows unless forced to he was just the epitome of camera shy or more like anti-fame in every way.
He couldn't have another candidate to follow down that same path; if he could meet with the man and guide him, he was sure he could model him into the perfect hero one that transcends King and maybe even blasts himself. King shouldn't mind his interference after all, as he should be glad that his apprentice would be a greater hero than him. It should be every master's dream to have their students surpass them. Now he was about to send a message to the individual, but before he could, that ominous feeling returned, and he looked up from his watch just in time to see a horrifying sight in the mirror.
He was so frightened that he struck at the mirror, causing it to shatter and crash into the ground, not even wanting to lay eyes on the abomination ever again. His mind functioned enough to remember how mirrors worked and turn his head to see the abomination again. His body again reacted on instinct, jumping backward and attempting to force himself as far away from the creature as quickly as possible. But he was trapped in the room with it; he had clung to the walls at a corner and slid down the mirror's surfaces as the creature approached him.
The abomination spoke to him, but he couldn't hear what it was saying. To focus on everything in his body, it was telling him to flee. It was the worst. He couldn't win against this creature, the mighty, intelligent, brave, mighty warrior worth a thousand men, the perfect hero handsomely sweet mask, who could not win against this monstrosity. He was punched through several mirrors, but he managed to recover himself in mid-air upon sight of the monster; he couldn't find the strength to move.
"I've been waiting for you, idol hero, in a way we both make the women scream. I'm going to kill you. How good you look versus how good you fight doesn't go hand in hand, does it? I'm going to beat that reality into that money-maker face of yours, ya goddamn pretty boy piece of shit!" The monster taunted him just before he delivered a barrage of rapid punches to his face and body, forcing him backward.
He could tell from those blows that this monster was strong! No doubt the monster must be an ugmon, the type of monster created by the many societal issues they face due to how they look. The hatred builds up and eventually envelopes their hearts in darkness, turning them into monsters. Their strength when they become monsters is directly influenced by the ugliness within their hearts.
This was completely unwinnable for him; when his body sees extreme ugliness, his body freezes up and starts to shake. Did the monsters have this planned? How did they know or find out about this one weakness, or was it just a coincidence? It didn't matter; the only thing he could do right now was to run away and request assistance. He quickly attempted to get away by singing the punch of the monsters that punched him through multiple mirrors as a way for him to activate his SOS beacon before hiding out, using the mirrors to his advantage to try and keep out of the monster's reach. He heard Tatsumaki's voice wring out over the comms, but she seemed completely indifferent to his situation, not even referencing it, so he decided to speak on it while again requesting aid.
"This is Neith from the non-killing army. The mercenary unit, along with the other civilians under DOS control, have been rescued and removed from the location." Neith replied over the communications unit.
"This is a sweet mask here.. EEAAK! No, please don't!" Mask remarked as the mere sight of the ugmon monster in the mirror caused him to let out a scream as he attempted to scamper away, but his noise gave his voice away as a fist slammed into his face, sending him crashing down to the ground.
"Sweet mask?" Tatsumkai asked
"Sorry, I'm facing a really powerful cadre that can attack the mind! I require assistance. My location is..."
"What's the big deal? It is just a cadre? I have already taken care of Gyoro-Gyoro; can you not call for assistance? If you can't defeat them yourself, then you should have just stayed on the surface, awaiting orders in the first place." Tatsumaki remarked, cutting him off.
"I don't have time to argue with you right now!" Sweet Mask argued back.
"What if our battle plans failed because we spared a member to come to rescue you? This is why A-class should have been left on the surface." Tatsumaki argued again. Sweet Mask's eyes twitched, and he was going to ignore the girl for now and ask for anyone else to talk to; however, he didn't have to.
"Sweet mask, this is Neith; don't worry, Deku is en route to assist," Neith stated.
"Hey, hold on a second, why are you guys? No, more specifically, why is my sister over there? Put her on the mic," Tatsumaki asked.
"Stop your paddling brat, when is Green Saviors' estimated time of arrival?" Sweet Mask quickly interrupted.
"He's right on top of you, and for Tatsumaki, Fubuki is fine. She has successfully finished her business with the Monster Association; I'll hand her the communications right now." Neith replied.
Smash Midoriya slammed down on top of the monster's head. There was a massive shockwave that blew Sweet's mask away, along with the surrounding environment. He recovered enough from the rubble to look up at the conflict, and the monster had managed to block the overhead slam and attempted to grab at the boy, but he was too fast, or was the monster slower than before?
The transmission gear shift slowed the monster down tremendously and kept it in place. Fa Jin's ability to speed nearly made it a statue for the young teen. Midoriya dodged out of the way of the monster grab before coming around down and under the monster's chin, hitting the monster with a Detroit smash directly to the monster's chin before using his black whip to swing around the large behemoth and using a pseudo-one million percent Wyoming smash directly on the creature's head, completely knocking it out as it fell down face first.
Midoriya ignored the unconscious form for now as he went to check up on Sweet Mask. The man still seemed to be shaken up a bit, but he quickly shook off the boy's worries and pointed a shaky finger toward the unconscious body of the monster.
"What are you doing? Finish it off. What are you waiting for?" Sweet Mask remarked in a demanding but shaky voice. Midoriya looked to the unconscious body and back to the man.
"Isn't ok that he's no longer a threat? I'll take him away soon enough if you're fine" Midoriya replied.
"Take him away? What do you mean by that? You can't be seriously thinking of bringing that thing in like it's some sort of criminal; it's a monster." sweet mask still with a shaky step, despite him looking fine, he was still shaking, and then he remembered something and proceeded over to the unconscious monster and started to wrap it up in his black whip.
"This monster's an ugmon, isn't it? That's why you're really scared, isn't it? I have been doing some research into monster types, and these are just people who were turned this way based on how society treated them. I can't kill him for that." Midoriya responded simply as he continued to wrap the large monster up in his black whip, thinking about the villains in their world. Most of his friends were sympathetic to their plight and believed that they despised the injustice; they didn't want them to just be killed; they would learn nothing; they would gain nothing from just doing that but sweeping the actual problem under the rug.
Sweet mask anger spiked as the monster had been fully wrapped up and out of sight. His body noticeably relaxed, and he could finally think more clearly without its immediate presence causing him any more distractions. His mind raced to decide what to do about the situation, but he quickly came up with a solution to become a hero. To become a companion of justice, they must vanquish evil, so that means... Evil accomplices are also... are also evil?
And must be vanquished, his train of thought remarked simply before he looked at the body whose back was turned towards him. He could kill him and play it off as the cadre being the culprit. On top of that, he could hide a direct witness to his hideous blunder, but as he was thinking these things, the boy slowly turned around towards him and just stared at him. He initially thought it was something behind him, but a casual glance showed nothing.
"Sweet mask, are you a monster?" The young teen asked him. Sweet Mask was taken back by the spontaneous question, and anger coursed through his veins at the realization of what it meant.
"He told you, didn't he?" He hissed out like venom through his teeth, but again, he was faltering; he didn't properly parse the boy's tone. It was an honest question, not one of mocking like he already knew, and his surprise when he inadvertently gave him the answer was clear.
"He? Wait, Aoyama knows? I… I just asked because your aura just changed for a minute there. My danger sense allows me to sense people, and everyone is unique, but with you, it seems like there are two different versions of you when you're really angry like you're holding something back. Just now you thought of attacking me, weren't you?" Midoriya remarked matter-of-factly. His anger flared again as he looked at him. He had removed his mask, and it almost looked like he stared at him with some sort of pity on his face. The only thing he should be looking at him like was envy.
"Get on with your point." Sweet Mask remarked, simply crossing his arms.
"Well, I don't know you very well, but don't you think it's a bit hypocritical to say that he should be killed for being a monster while you're one yourself?" Midoriya asked.
"I am still human first and foremost; I did not join a cult in hopes of exterminating humanity. We are not the same; what will arrest do? If you know about ugmons, then you know that their hatred has seeped into their very hearts and corrupted them. There's no going back from that; there's no fairytale ending for them other than death."
"I know, I know that chances for redemption are small or likely zero, but killing the effect won't change the root issue. If we can find out what turned him into an ugmon in the first place, don't you think that someone of your influence could do something about it? Getting rid of the monster will solve nothing if you don't solve the problems that make them, and you will never find out why they are being made if you just kill them before you can ask.
"How did you become a monster?" Midoriya argued, turning the spotlight back to him, but his thoughts were concerning this particular monster at the moment. He was thinking of Shigaraki; he could see the little boy crying for help within him, and that may not be for this monster, but maybe something could be explored if they gave them the chance. Midoriya was completely shocked by the massive wave of blood lust that began to pour out of Sweet Mask at that moment. It seemed his question struck a particularly hard nerve for him, but it evaporated, and as soon as both of them got a ping on their communications device, it was an atomic samurai requesting aid.
Midoirya was so amazed at how the idol could contain all that blood lust and hatred in such a flash of a moment. He watched as the star took several inhales and exhales before glaring at him with a look that he likely wished could kill.
"This conversation is over; do with it what you will. But don't let it escape your sight, or I will make you pay for it." Sweet Mask remarked before he started to walk away, but Midoriya quickly caught up to him before tapping him on the arm and activating his gear shift.
"You're going to go help Atomic Samurai, right? Here, this will allow you to get there a bit faster than on your own. I'll hold it for five minutes until I get to the surface of the effect, but one more thing: just out of curiosity, what makes ugmons so different from other monsters? Are you an UG-?" Midoriya was about to ask before he was completely kicked into the wall, cracking multiple mirrors in his path before he slowed down. The man practiced a couple of kicks and punches for a bit, testing out his increased speed and ability, before giving him another hard glare.
"I told you the conversation was over." And just like that, he was gone, dashing away at incredible speed. Midoriya did feel like that was partly deserved; it was a bit of an invasive question, especially after he just got done getting him angry, but there was something he could do to at least alleviate some of his anger.
"This is Green Savior Deku; the sweet mask you heard just now was an imposter that had managed to take his communication device to set up an ambush for whoever arrived to help him; the real sweet mask, however, showed up and saved me. With his help, we managed to take care of the cadre responsible for the trap, and his communications device has been returned to him. He's now going to assist Atomic Samurai at the moment," Midoriya remarked as he spoke over the network. He didn't care much about credit and reputation like Sweet Mask did, so he hoped that he could manage to help the star in that regard.
He got himself up and dusted himself off before proceeding to the monster again. From the damage he did to him, the monster should have a concussion along with a broken spine. He understood the danger such a foe could have, so he ensured more security by breaking the thing's legs and arms. He in truth didn't know what they were going to do with him on the surface; they weren't sending it to the preserve, that was for sure, but he guessed they could just put it in suspended sleep until they could figure out something.
He lifted the body and carried it away. Now that he held the large cadre, it would have been pretty difficult to maneuver around the base, but luckily for him, there was a massive hole inside the structure that he could use to fly up and away from returning to the others.
Terrible matchup: Atomic Samurai, Sweet mask

Atomic Samurai made his way clearing through monsters, and right as he had honestly been disappointed so far in his journey, none of the monsters he encountered seemed to put up much of a challenge at all. If this was all the stronger monsters they had kept in reserve, then it was smart of him to separate himself from his disciples so they could get a good workout from it at least. He became so bored with the task at hand that he started to play games with himself, trying to see how many monsters he could kill with a single slash at a time. It would also save his energy to do it that way, but lining unpredictable monsters up proved at least somewhat challenging to get them all in one place so that his flash attack could kill all of them, but it worked out in the end, or at least he thought.
"Ghaha! Nice trick their luring them in to kill them in one fell swoop. As expected of the great sword master atomic samurai!" a monster wrung out from behind him.
"So you survived my attack?" atomic asked, seemingly surprised by the act of the still-living monster. It must have been at least a demon to do that, he thought to himself.
"I am the one who dedicated himself to the blade, sword devil executioner! Your blood will be my fuel as I march towards being the greatest in the world." The monster remarked that this one was clad in seemingly organic armor with long, flowing hair, a large beard, and multiple eyes. The monster lashed out with multiple swords, swung atomic counters, parried with only one arm, and then sighed. The contest was over after the first parry. Unfortunately, this monster seemed to barely be a demon; it seemed nothing too special after all as it withdrew its weapon and boldly announced that they were evenly matched, but they were not, and the monster could see that as his sword was completely decimated along with its armor, and even his beard was trimmed a bit off, leaving the monster in shock.
"Since you survived my flash attack, I'm going to be a little charitable here to you. You said that you're practicing the sword. Well, you still have a long way to go before you reach my level, but you could be a nice playmate for my students, so here's the deal you go over to... I think the DOS place is wherever that is, and get out of here. That is unless you want to end your sword journey here." Atomic threatened to take his blade out of his sheath slightly, but the monster quickly shook its head and bowed before him.
"No, no, I'll take your offer. I have heard rumors going around from some of the monsters about that route, but I didn't believe it myself. Hmph, you truly are a great samurai to even offer your enemy the opportunity to escape so that you can test yourself in the future. I wish for your well-being. A cadre lurks down in these halls," the monster remarked as he kneeled before him for a moment and then took its leave, giving him a fair warning.
Atomic Samurai didn't know how to take that. He knew about the escape route the teens were taking, but he never bothered to mention it to any of the monsters until now. But the response was still surprising. He half expected the monster to come and attack him when his back was turned, but no, its footsteps slowly and steadily petered out before he continued forward. Well, he now knows that a cadre was supposed to be down here, so he was pretty excited to go and fight it as he continued walking.
When his communications unit spoke up about how the monster king was already dead and checked that it came from the king's disciple, he had to admit that he was impressed, and he was also in awe of how strong the king must be if his disciple was capable of doing that with such efficiency. Multiple large vibrations rang out around the base, and maybe one of them was him and the monster king slugging it out. He continued forward on his way towards his station. It seemed like everything was going according to plan so far.
He just needed to beat a cadre; he didn't know where it could be, but the monster said it was down there somewhere, so he would keep his guard up. For good reason, a lightning bolt had struck from the floor, which he had to cut in half. But no further attack came, so he proceeded forward, and he had inadvertently run into the cadre. A small black monster with a white face—if he remembered the briefing correctly, this was a black spermatozoon or something like that?
Anyway, it was a cadre, so he decided to test the monster with a triple wind blade, and unexpectedly, it managed to dodge all three attacks.
The monster told him that this Gyoro-Gyoro was the one who specifically mentioned him to it; it seemed like he was planning on running into him, but he didn't care about the small monster one bit, and he told it so much to the little guy's obvious disgruntlement. The small monster seemed to grow and increase in size, spinning a large black arm from its small form and raising it to smash him over the head. He thought that was going to intimidate him, but he still felt like it was going to be an easy win for him;
he's dealt with this kind before, and as the large monster attempted to swing down on him, he easily sidestepped it while cutting the thing off. If that was all it was capable of, then it would just be another drag. Before he could get too cocky, however, Atomic heard movement from behind him. The large appendage he just cut off was forming and shaping itself more like the bastard as several of its faces started to poke out of the large blob of black mass.
"So you're one of those splitting bastards? Damn, that's the most annoying type." atomic remarked
"Annoying? Are you an idiot? Do you still think that you can win? I am a countless number of "me"s" merged into one entity. No matter how you cut, tear, or crush, I'll just keep multiplying." The black monster stated that, but that just made it simple for him as he cut the smaller one's head as it was in the middle of splitting its body.
"You're the actual idiot. I just have to shower countless numbers of you with countless slashes to win!' Atomic remarked with a smirk. He turned to face the other mob of members next and continued forward, taunting him to come at him, and he wasn't one to disappoint as he cut the blob of mass into several pieces.
Those pieces, however, soon returned to a full state, but he wasn't done yet as he slashed at the newly formed smaller monsters, this only yielded the same result again, but he could still keep going a third time, gripping his sword even harder and cutting them all down one more time, and this continued as the hallways were littered with so many of the small creatures that you couldn't even see the floor anymore, but even through that, the monster just multiplied again.
Multiple punches to his gut completely caught him off guard, as one of the monsters punched him in the stomach. His body was flung back as blood erupted from his mouth. There's no way that even after splitting that much, the monster still possesses that level of strength; he miscalculated its strength, and now there are just way too many. He wouldn't give up; however, he knew that he could pull out a victory if he kept going. The bastard had to have some sort of limit; he wasn't truly countless.
If he were, he would have already overrun the world, so he still had a chance. Thinking quickly, he cut the floor beneath him as he was surrounded by the small monsters. He dropped through the cut of the floors beneath him with a single slash, dropping him down several floors. The monster, as predicted, chased after him, full of confidence and bravado. He simply laughed as a significant portion of him leaped down after him until the whole was filled with nothing but black shapes, and that was when he revealed his newest attack as a large, almost beam-like wind went forward and annihilated a significant number of the small black clones.
He developed this technique due to an alien that rendered his blade technique ineffective in the past, and ever since he formulated this move, it was a simple thought that if he could increase the number and speed of his slashes further, even though the range would be greatly reduced, his blade would now penetrate with greater density.
"Concentrating my slashes at one point is a technique, especially for monsters like you. Get reduced to dust," the atomic samurai remarked, much to the monster's shock.
Focused Atomic Slash
The narrow passageway combined with the monster being in free fall meant that the option to dodge was completely impossible the several slashes of his blade completely vaporized all of the black clones as he crashed down to the ground, he reflected on how strong that monster was and he guessed cadre weren't that much all talk in the first place, he could feel his wrist throb in pain, the technique was still new to him so he couldn't go around using it recklessly, after catching his breath for a moment he hopped back up to the surface he didn't know if he should continue down on his pathway or just return to the surface maybe he should check if the others need help or not, his disciples flashed through his mind for a moment but the sudden voice from behind him caught his attention, he turned around just in time to see the black creature again, there was more of them he thought.
"Well, I hid my true self from the very beginning and only sacrificed a tiny fraction of "me," which helped." The monster remarked as it reared back a large fist and slammed it forward. Samurai attempted to use his focused atomic flash again, but he didn't have the time as he was struck in the face, completely decreasing the intensity as he was only able to slice along the monster's body.
He was sent flying down the hall; he didn't need to, as his main objective was secured. The monster continued to taunt him, remarking that he was a bad matchup against him, but that allowed the trap to be sprung without incident. As he slammed the butt of his blade on the ground, get buried, he responded simply as the ceiling caved in directly on top of the monster.
There was a moment of silence, as that seemed to do the trick. His radio sparked to life, and the voice of a sweet mask came. The overconfident guy almost seemed to be begging for help, and Atom sucked his teeth and thought it was ridiculous the guy was talking all that smack before, and now he was crying for help, but he guessed he wasn't one to judge too much as he was pretty banged up himself from these fight matchups, huh? Well, it seemed the non-killing army was helping him out, so he didn't have to worry about it. His thoughts were cut off as he suddenly heard the monster again. He turned quickly around to slice at the chunk of ceiling that was headed his way. Unfortunately, riding on a set piece of the ceiling, he jumped off and kicked him in the face.
He cut both of the clones that did so, but that didn't seem to do much of anything as the bastards just split again. He peered down the hall and saw the army of small, dark monsters approach him, some even coming back together in their larger states, forming arms and even legs. He didn't know what to do; running sure hell wasn't an option, so he needed to fight, but he was no fool; he didn't know how much of himself he had in stock, and even though it was divided that much, it still possessed significant strength. He hovered his hand over the communications beacon, and after some consideration, he decided to press the SOS button.
The enemy was strong and numerous; his focused atomic slash could defeat the creature, but he didn't know how many he had inside of him. If he used it recklessly, he would run the risk of being completely defenseless. He reckons that he had a good nine focused atomic slashes left in him before his wrist probably gave out on him, which meant he would need to take the monster out in that many moves, but he was sure now the monster would start to play more defensively with his lives. It would be a cat-and-mouse game—a very annoying monster indeed, he thought as he steadied himself.
Atomic samurai charged back in at the monsters brazenly, which it was unsuspecting of. With an atomic slash, he slashed at the wave of creatures, but only to have the same result transpire. The others rushed in to fill the gap that the others had left while they worked on filling it from being slashed to ribbons. Atomic samurai kept constant concentration on his footwork. Ensuring that his back was constantly pressed against the wall while fighting a horde of enemies was better when he didn't have to watch his back.
Every punch that got through his guard was answered by a slash of his own, cutting off or cutting the offending creature in half, and it seemed to be working at least somewhat as he felt the blows get somewhat lighter or he was just getting numb to the pain coursing through his body, but he fought through slicing at the endless black horde of small creatures. He would slash out the ceiling to crush some of them, but they would just crawl on top of the defeated; he would cut out the floor from underneath them; but they would make floors with their bodies and have clones crawl over them to continue at him.
The blows steadily continued to mount against him and the monster's power barely fluctuated, the damn thing may not have infinite copies but it sure as hell had a lot of them he fully now realized as he continued to swing his sword before he felt something grab at his feet and pulled him down through the floor smashing him into the ground they were now on, pain ripped through his spine but he recovered enough to counter-attack against the large fused monster but only separate it into smaller pieces of itself, but he couldn't just pay attention to them but now the roof two as multiple black monsters started to rain down on him like black snow and he took that as the best opportunity using the focused atomic slash whipping out another considerable swarm of the monsters that threatened to rain down on him but leaving him open to the monsters on the floor which charged at him and assaulted him multiple times attacking and sending him crashing into the wall.
he flipped while in mid-air and came back to a standing position just in time to face another horde of the monster but maybe thinking he was going to use the attack again they scattered all around scampering around the room and hall trying not to place too big of a target on themselves but that was fine he couldn't use the technique consecutively anyways so instead he sliced at the ceiling attempting to rain it down on them but that had the adverse effect of raining down even more of the monsters on him, he, as they attach themselves to the ceiling, pieces that fell from above striking him again in the face forcing him backward he needed to create more distance and escape but as he turned around he found his exit blocked a strike to the back of the head combined with multiple blows to the back sent him spiraling on the ground but he still maintained the grip of the sword in his hands.
he turned around just as the monsters attempted to dog pile on top of him spinning his sword in a defensive pattern around himself the atomic defense was a defensive version of the atomic slash that covered him in a 360 version of the attack but against the monster it was only a half measure he notices how the monster slip through by dividing constantly until several had entered into the bubble forcing him to stop as they attacked him, he leaped backward only to be caught by the top of the head by another of the monsters this time turned into another large hand, he wanted to prepare his sword to lash out but multiple other of him held his sword down at bay while the other attempted to attack him and use him like a pinata but they were all blown away and splattered against the wall, atomic samurai felt the large hand on top of his head also let him go a glance over and he noticed that to had also been splattered against the wall.
He looked at his unlikely rescuer and was surprised to find that it was none other than Sweet Mask himself. He thought the idol was having troubles of his own to help, but he didn't seem like he had much of a scratch on him, and that was when Green Savior came over the radio again and explained what happened to the idol. Well, he would have preferred if the Green Savior came to save him instead; then he wouldn't have to hear his mouth as the idol spoke, looking down at him.
"Atomic samurai, look at yourself, covered in blood and writhing on the ground. That is no look for a hero, especially one for the S-class; get up and stop embarrassing yourself." The idol spoke out, not even bothering to reach out a hand. The idol was arrogant, but he couldn't deny that this guy had some point.
"Heh, I would have preferred to have Green Savior here instead, but I guess any help would be much appreciated." Atomic replied simply as he stood up on his feet.
"Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. Why are you here, pretty boy? What happened to Faghier ugly or whatever? Did you defeat him already? I thought Gyoro-Gyoro told us that "the black sperm that was talking was cut off as Sweet Mask stuck his fist into the monster's face.
"That creature has already been taken care of; that advisor of yours simply miscalculated my abilities, and that will be your downfall right now." Sweet Mak stated this as he launched off into the horde of clones.
For a moment atomic samurai was a bit taken back at the sheer ferocity that the star fought with, he punched, kicked, and even slashed with great speed and strength, the monsters fell around him, and while some fell completely others still managed to split apart and come back at him but that was when the man's fortitude came into play he was surprisingly durable the attacks that made him buckle were while clearing hurting the star, he was managing to stay on his feet and mitigate majority of the damage by blocking his most vital areas.
He also continued to maintain his composure while fighting a nearly unlimited number of enemies but he wasn't going to just stand there and let the idol fight for him and he instructed the man to jump and get out of the way, despite how hard headed he was normally, he listens and in time as well atomic let loose another focused atomic slash carving a swath through the horde of black monsters, but there was still countless more that started to pour in from the whole he made in the wall like they just stirred an ant hill, the two heroes went back to back as they saw the horde approach them.
"You fooled me; I thought you were just a pretty face, but you do have the skill to become an S-class hero." atomic compliments.
"Even a monkey could see the truth when it was right in front of him." Sweet Mask responded simply.
"Tch, you're still a pretentious bastard, it seems, though. But do you have a plan, mister pop star?" Atomic Samurai quipped back.
"To dispense justice." Sweet Mask replied simply.
"Well, we're going to have to "dispense justice" for a long time if you're up for that supposedly the guy has a "countless" number of him stored up." Atomic commented simply.
"It matters not how many ants crawl towards me; they will all be crushed under my foot." Sweet Mask replied as the two of them prepared for the battle at hand.
Love Evolution: Puri-Puri Prisoner
Puri-Puri Prisoner continued down the tunnel. A couple of monsters awaited him on his entrance into the association proper, but none of them were his babies, so he didn't care too much for any of them as a barrage of punches destroyed them all. He continued on his journey to find his precious babies. They must be so scared now in such a damp and dark cave system. He would save them at all costs and bring them back into his comforting embrace. However, just walking around aimlessly would do him no good; he needed some clue on where they would potentially be, so through his ruthless slaughter of the monsters, he decided to stop and ask some of them for answers.
Of course, some of them refused to answer any of his questions, but after a few broken bones or torn-off limbs got them to change their mood fairly quickly, unfortunately, none of them seemed to have known of any prison monsters, which he would assume they were just lying to him, but the base was pretty big and there were hundreds of monsters inside, so like a person in town wouldn't likely know every person in that town, the same could be said for monsters.
He needed to brainstorm a different idea, and as he continued on his journey, his communications radio spiked for a few moments. It was from the child Emperor; he had reportedly confirmed visible confirmation of the child, but he had unfortunately lost track of him when he was engaged by a cadre. It was unfortunate, and from the child's tone of voice, he instantly knew that he regretted not being able to save the boy, but at least he took down one of the cadres, which was a plus and no one could blame him for. He will keep an eye out for the boy in his quest for love.
Hearing the child emperor's voice got his mind thinking about what was talked about during the meeting before the raid—about the cadre monsters that they gave them information on—that cat monster. He was the one that captured his babies, and supposedly he was some sort of big shot with the association, so the monsters would likely know of him as people know of the S-class heroes.
With that in mind, the prisoner redoubled his efforts while being mindful to keep tabs on the missing boy, but his questions this time around bore fruit, speaking of a cat monster and cadre. The monster quickly realized he was talking about Nyan, and they gladly pointed him in the right direction of the place. He came upon a large hallway; it seemed fairly clear of monsters, which, if this was the road to one of the big shots, would make sense. He continued on his journey and was suddenly assaulted by a strange gas that filled and expanded in his direction, encompassing him.
His head felt a little fuzzy, but other than that, he was fine as he continued to move forward. He stepped into something and felt several pinpricks on his legs. It sent a tickling sensation through his legs that made him chuckle, but he quickly swiped the creatures away from him. They were underground, so small insects like this could get attached to him, he thought simply as he continued forward. He was just about to reach where the edge of the smoke was when he was assaulted by ice, fire, and something extremely loud. He felt a small prick on his neck through the smoke, and he suddenly felt a bit thirsty but otherwise fine.
The next attack was a lighting blast of some kind, and he allowed it to strike him. The monsters were helping him relax from the anxiety building as he approached where his babies were. He didn't know what diabolical and despicable things that monster could be doing to his hubbies, but he would free them with his power of love, he thought as he put his hand into a heart shape to receive the electric attack. As the attack struck him, he felt his body becoming energized.
"Wait, didn't Gyoro-Gyoro say that this was supposed to be a good match for us?" The small, alien-looking monster remarked with two large cannons for arms that belched out small puffs of gas.
"He doesn't fall even after getting hit by all these special attacks," another monster asked, as he thought this one was a double-headed worm monster with multiple eyes covering its body.
"What could it be made of?" A female monster remarked,
"He can't be human." Another monster spoke: a small, imp-like creature with flaming hair, horns, and a flame tail.
"Is it that hard to understand? If I must explain, to embrace all the pain with love as deep as the ocean is my ability. I call it an angel hug." The prisoner was eternally grateful for the monster that attacked W-city, leading to this epiphany of an ability: he could accept the pain and neutralize it with his love.
"Nope, I still didn't understand a thing," the alien monster replied.
"I think it would be better if we retreated; for now, we can't beat it," a bat-type monster spoke.
"Yeah, good idea." A frost monster spoke up next to it, a quadruped of snow with ice spikes.
stick out of its center but as the seven monsters made their way to escape another monster zoomed in from off a side hallway this one was a humanoid type with an elephant head on a large hoverboard its name was Baquma one of the smaller monsters called him telling him to go fight him instead the monster agreed to do such a thing but the prisoner was surprised when the monster had suddenly used its trunk and started to suck inwards, the forces of which he tempted to unbalanced him as he slid forwards for a moment but he managed to find his balance and plant his feet in the ground and watched as all of the monsters were absorbed into its trunk, so it was true that the monsters weren't united he thought, to do that to his allies told him that he knew nothing of love.
The monster grew larger and sprouted six additional arms each glowing with one of the abilities of the monsters it had just absorbed, it remarked that it would keep those abilities until the monsters in his stomach were fully digested but before blasting him full force with all of them in a combination attack, the monster boasted about killing the other heroes with its borrowed abilities and that his abilities would be added on to the list it was completely an impossible tale, as the smoke cleared prison revealed himself to be fine from the attack he had bent down to ensure that his sweater remained unscathed but the attack was nothing special, the monster had great ambitions but could not even touch them, he was apart of the S-class as well but he couldn't hold a candle to the rest of them on the team compared to them he was just an average man. So before he could start aiming for any of them, he would need to defeat the average man right in front of him.
The monster blasted him again with those same attacks but again it barely had any effect the monster seemed to gloat and believe that his shaking was due to him but the prisoner knew better, this was another gift from the monsters that were absorbed and he would term this gift vibration angel descend he could feel it's power as he touched a finger to a column and it collapsed into dust before he glared at the monster whom after a moment looked equally surprised by the events taking place and prisoner wasn't one to miss out on the opportunity striking the monster with a dark vibration angel rush directly to the monster upper body and face completely obliterating it he didn't hit along the stomach on purpose to free the monsters digesting inside so as his way of repaying them for his new ability several of them ran away and he was sort of happy that the couple managed to get away as the large armadillo type creature carried her away.
A sudden voice completely halted him in his tracks, however.
"Man, he's a monster among monsters." One of them spoke.
"How many times did we try to behead him in his sleep? I have never seen a man with skin tougher than a razor." another commented
"But today we are killing him." another remarked
"Are you ready, smelly lid prison boss? No. Our worst enemy, S-class hero Puri-Puri prisoner, time for revenge!" Another convict remarked
The prisoner was in disbelief that he had managed to find his husband. It was unfortunate that they had been transformed into monsters, but he was sure that with plenty of his life, he would be able to transform them back into humans. He dove in with the group to deliver a large bear hug, but a fist to his face completely stopped him. They all started to attack him from all around, saying such horrible things that it must have been the work of the monsterization corrupting their hearts.
He flung them off of himself and tried to appeal to nature, reminding them of all the good times they spent together, but his plight seemed to fall on deaf ears, even suggesting that they hated all of those moments. Was the monsterization really that strong to completely change their loving moments into nightmares? Even with that, however, he wouldn't give up on any of them; he was determined to bring them back.
"Hey, let me tell you something: once you become a monster, you never go back." Puri-Puri Prison heard from behind him a voice he had never heard before, and he quickly turned to face the threat, but he was blinded as the monster completely cut into his feline retribution. Several claw marks cut into Puri-Puri Prisoner as the monster passed him.
Nyan seemed like he had just woken up from a nap; he was taking a horrible one that seemed to always end in him dying. His vision cleared up, and he was told of some plan to take out the S-class hero. Puri-Puri prisoner, did that mean that Orochi beat that bald guy? Or did something else happen? His head hurt just attempting to remember what was happening. Well, as long as he killed one of the S-class, it didn't matter to him much; he didn't care about getting the final blow; the others wanted to have their fun, and he would allow them so he could figure himself out.
Of course, it wasn't going to be that easy, as the hero still stood on his two feet. At first, he believed that, but he seemed to be adjusting bit by bit to the wound and getting more comfortable. Did he have some sort of enhanced healing, or did all the damage he accumulated awaken his instincts to protect himself, and his body evolved as a result? Or something like that.
The crazy man had thought he somehow sprouted angel wings, but in actuality, it was just that body hair simply grew to an abnormal extent around his body, covering almost every area of his chest, arms, and most likely his legs as well. He called the overgrown hair "bristle armor" before charging right at him; it felt a familiar disgust run through his system at the sight of the man, similar to how love was forced upon him by his former master this man. Well, the man just ruined any fun that he had on having just by bringing that thought up, so he decided that yeah, he would just leave some other cadre to deal with him as he slipped into the cracks on the wall. He taunted the hero about how he could travel through many cracks, even if they were as small as 3 millimeters. He would just go and find another hero to kill if they hadn't already, he remarked as he laughed and began to slip away.
As the monster slipped away through the cracks, the puri-puri prisoner was stuck for just a moment. He wouldn't allow this dangerous enemy to get away, especially after what he did to his babies. He would chase that monster down to the ends of the earth. He thought aloud as he bent down and dashed forward, using his angel crawl, taking the same measures as the monster itself. He would swim through the concrete and continue his pursuit. The prisoner, to the surprise of Nayan, was catching up to him; his instincts were spot on, and the guy was just too tough for him to handle. He told the hero after slipping out of the cracks that he had no more interest in fighting him and that he should be more worried about his prisoner's friends instead, but the hero was adamant in chasing him down, being sure to "punish" him for his evil deeds, and knowing that man, he could only respond with the first thing that came to mind, thinking about how dirty that sounded.
The cat continued through the slips as the hero gave chase. He seemed to be adamant about following him; maybe if he led him back to the prisoner, he would change his mind, and to add on to that, he could maybe injure a few of them to fully capture his attention, or maybe he would just get even madder at him? So he'll shelve that idea, at least for now. If the man just continued after him, he could use the prisoners as bait to stop him. He continued slipping back towards the large hallway where the prisoners were slipping down overtop of them and continuing to run away, ignoring the questions they asked.
They would find out soon enough what happened to the S-class hero Not a moment later, the entire roof collapsed downward on top of them, crushing each of them almost instantly. The man completely turned around and grimaced at the horrible sight that he caused, and Nyan used that time to get out of dodge, slipping into another crack further on. There had been numerous vibrations going throughout the base, so he decided to go and travel to one of the closer ones and see what he could get into.
"Crap, I got them involved in the accident!? MY BOYRIEEEEEINDS! AAAAAAAH!" The prisoner remarked as he balled his eyes out; this lasted for three minutes before he suddenly got his head on straight.
"I'll accept this new technique as a final gift from you all. Thank you, my honey. Be at rest now. Your deaths will not be in vain. Everyone, please watch over me for this battle," the Puri-puri prisoner remarked as he walked away.
Thanks to his small mourning, he had lost the cat. Unfortunately, he sighed. It said that it would go and attack the other heroes, but he would likely regret whoever he ran into; it was better to have him puri-puri prisoner as his opponent. he had to dodge a bolt of lighting which caused him to check if his comms unit was still working and just in the nick of time as well as he had briefly heard Sweet Mask on his journey chasing after the animal telling him that he was in trouble and now that he was free he was fairly interested in going to help the heartthrob but it seemed that there was no need as Green Savior was already on the case and handle it in record time when he got word that the man over the comms unit was an imposter he wasn't to surprised it seemed like such a clash of his demeanor in comparison to how confident he was in the briefing room but that was not for him to worry about as now that Sweet Mask was back he could go and help Atomic Samurai allowing him to continue the search for the child.
Monster and Human: Non-killing army
After witnessing that monster of a hero kill baquma with a single barrage of attacks he knew for a fact they stood no chance against that monster, electric catfish even started to ponder if Gyoro-Gyoro knew of its strength and still sent them out to fight him on some sort of suicide mission to simply injure him so that some other monsters could finish him off later well if that was their plan then he could get bent he was going to be taking his girl and leaving this place they didn't need the monster association they could make it out in the world on their maiko unlike himself looked human enough and could probably get them food and maybe even a home where they could live peacefully this was their chance to break out and allow him to leave the home without being worried about heroes but now that it became clear upon the heroes strength he didn't care about any of that he could stay inside a be a hermit as long as it meant that maiko and he could be together.
He hurried and got down on his knees as his antenna sent him a warning signal he cradled over his wife and protected her as the world around them seemed too heavily shake, he didn't know what was happening but it was coming down from below, and rising to the surface and it wasn't good when the shaking finally stopped he got up and proceeded to keep running he ran along a fair way ignoring the numerous dead bodies that littered the landscape and in all the time they never once ran into a hero but just monster bodies highlighting even more how much they were losing this battle, there was potential however the cadre could turn the tide and the heroes could be tired from fighting so much but he didn't want to take the chance and would wait out the outcome away from the base.
They kept running and came to a weird sight, there was a line of four or so monsters all being lead by another larger snake monster, he attempted to hide in the dark thinking that maybe they were gathering up members to attack another hero but the snake saw them within the darkness and demanded that they come out of course they did but he told them that they weren't going to follow them into a suicide charge against another S-class hero but the snake monster merely hissed and remarked that it was good that they weren't going to do that and that they were going to leave, electric catfish was surprised but welcomed the additional company they likely came to a similar conclusion like their selves and they followed along to this passageway the snake said that it knew of.
The first thing raptera did when she escaped Baquma's stomach was run but she wasn't running aimlessly she was going directly to her sister she could sense where she was ever since their monsterization and she blamed it on their heavily sisterly bond before they had even held dreams of marrying to the same guy one day but when she for a moment felt the bond was severed she panicked she was so concerned that she nearly abandoned her post to go and see what happened to her if baquma wasn't there she would have done just that but she was relieved that she was able to sense it a moment later allowing her to rest a little easier but she continued to worry about her little sister the entire time now that she was free she headed straight towards her position.
She went through the monster association fairly panicked as she continued to go down several corridors and passageways in her hurry she nearly tripped and fell into a massive hole in the middle of nowhere, she was completely shocked about how it even got there in the first place, if the heroes were suing stuff that can create that level of devastation with a hostage present then she couldn't imagine what would have happened to them without it, she had to take the long way around unfortunately but fortune did favor her when her sister seemed to be heading in her direction but again bad luck was when she was accompanied by none other than sludge jellyfish.
He was a hard ass on even the best of days and as expected he asked her why did she leave her post and she informed him that her post was gone baquma was dead and the cadre engaged the target her job was done but the monster rebuffed her and remarked that their wouldn't allow cowards in the new world and that she should have stayed at her position to ensure the death of the hero, reptera didn't have time to argue with the being and remarked that she was leaving with her sister as the two of them glared at the monster with their weapons ready, the other two monsters which were a monkey type and one of their crocodiles agreed with the women on their plan of action, of course sludge jellyfight didn't take to kindly to that and was about to attack them but a new comer completely took everyone attention it was large lion creature that had bursted through the wall it was currently attacking another monster this one was and owlbear hybrid but it was no match for the lion that as it burned and clawed it to death.
The large lion creature turned to look at them once the creature was dead and sludge jellyfish nagged at telling it that it should be using that strength to kill the heroes not be at each other throats but turned to look at the twin girls with a glance and amended that he could kill these two girls as they were cowards and turning their back on the monster association, the cat monster didn't reply fully and locked eyes with the kid instead before turning to the two girl monsters in question and proceeded forward towards them it closed in on them and got between them and sludge monster while he laughed at their grief but the girls were a bit surprised when the lion monster simply winked at them before enshrouding it's paws in a blazing inferno and instead of attacking them quickly turning around and swiping the sludge monster it's massive paw and flame completely burning the already burnt sludge monster to a crisp, the monster lay dead leaving only the large cat and the boy.
The large cat asked the boy if he was human and the boy hesitantly nodded his head taking a step back from the large monster he didn't like the look in the monster's eye when he confirmed it and attempted to run away but he grabbed by the collar with its massive mouth and for a moment thought he was going to be eaten but instead, he was picked up and flipped to be placed on top o the creature instead, he was panicked but held on to the large monster not knowing where it was going with this as the monster turned to address the other monsters, it told them that she was leaving and she was taking the kid with her and they could join her if they wanted or if they had a problem they could fight if they wanted she was game for it.
The monsters all quickly shook their heads, and they elected to join the large cat monster. They all continued to travel a distance before they ran into another group of monsters, this one led by a large snake. The two leaders seemed to have known each other as they discussed, although the snake seemed to only partially tolerate the creature's presence and ignore it for the most part.
The other monsters all murmured amongst themselves about where they were headed and who the two of them were. Judging by their aura, they seemed to be pretty strong, but none of them knew where they came from or had even seen them before, leading to some mistrust among the group. The electric catfish asked the two where they were going and how they were going to escape the place. Were they going to be using the child as a bargaining chip to ensure their safety?
But the snake simply shook his head; he remarked that they were going to surrender to the non-killing army, and they would take you all away. This immediately caused a sort of uproar that had many of the monsters say that they didn't want to spend the rest of their lives in a cell. Of course, a large hiss from the snake silenced them, and the large cat amended that they wouldn't be going to a cell but a preserve instead; it was larger than the monster associations, so they had plenty of room to do anything they wanted as long as they stayed inside at least.
The monsters were still a bit reluctant, not believing the story to be true, but they didn't have many other options at the moment and decided to continue on their way. The large 8-man group of monsters continued forward and came upon the DO-S room, and all went inside. The two monsters came up and were greeted by the non-killing army and two massively large cages. The snake monster remarked that originally there had been five cages, but two of them had already been dispatched. The teens and the monster all spoke together for a moment. Kaminari met up with both electric catfish and maiko plasma; the two were shocked to see that the boy had held Energizer in his hands and was equally surprised about the defeat of the other cadre, along with Orochi potentially.
Mina and Kirishima talked briefly with the poison sisters to see if they could ease theirs and the rest of the monsters worried, thankfully the first of the cages that had left was going to land soon and the monsters were about to be released inside so Momo opted to show them the video of such activities along with the welcome committee which included the monster Eyesight the massive lamia creature drew a couple of the monster attention and to fully get them on board with the idea they allowed them to speak with her for a bit, the monster remarked that they were telling the truth, however, the place was a bit boring unless fighting robots were something you enjoyed she was hoping that they could install some other thing around so they could have some actual fun but they would have to "behave" if that were to become a reality.
The monsters hearing the voice of the monster's women calmed some of their nerves and reluctance, and they joined inside the larger cage after exchanging some surprised hugs from the monsters to the teens and thanking them for the second chance before the large cage started to shut and prep for takeoff, holding a large number of monsters, leaving only two cages left.
