Chapter 7: Disciple of Darkness

In Arizona, it was now sunset, and on a ledge higher up, close to the same cave Zo-Zla-Halawa resided, Optimus Prime and the rest of his Autobots arrived on the scene in order to take the fight to the Decepticons, in which all members of Team Prime were present, bar Ratchet, as he was still working on the device that could weaken Zo-Zla-Halawa, should the Autobots fail to stop Megatron.
While on top of the ledge, Optimus Prime took notice to the mouth of the cave, where he saw the unconscious Zo-Zla-Halawa inside, along with Knockout, Breakdown, and a group of Vehicons scattered within the cave as they were supplying the Titan with the radiation obtained from the Three Gorges Dam. More prominent to Optimus and his Autobots, however, was the sight of Megatron standing just outside the cave, focusing his attention on Zo-Zla-Halawa with Starscream, Soundwave, Skyquake, Dreadwing, and some more Vehicons, at his sides. Thankfully, the Decepticon warship was no longer present, meaning they would not have to worry about the Nemesis obliterating them all with just one shot.
"What's the play, Prime?", Ironhide asked his leader.
"Simple", Optimus Prime replied just before activating his battle mask. "We end this here and now".
At the sight of the cave which contained Zo-Zla-Halawa within it, Megatron smiled deviously with his optics still glowing purple as he admired the raw power that would be at his disposal once the Space Godzilla was finally restored to his former glory.
"Such primal magnificence…", Megatron said in a sadistic tone.
Not only was Megatron's plan arguably insane due to placing his fate in the hands of a Titan as unstable as Zo-Zla-Halawa, but it seemed that the Decepticon leader's mind was so infatuated with all the Dark Energon flowing through and around him that it only made him think about one thing: pure, unadulterated power.
"Soundwave, what is the status of Godzilla's current location?", Megatron asked his communications officer.
In response, Soundwave, again showed Megatron on his visor the current whereabouts as to where Godzilla was currently at, in which the King of the Monsters was still very far away from them.
"Excellent. Even though Godzilla may not reach us in time, I look forward to him being the first victim of our newfound alliance with Zo-Zla-Halawa, so that he may know what real power is, ever since he thought he had taken it from me those three years ago…", Megatron said with a nasty tone in his voice.
"Um…master…", a nervous Starscream said to Megatron, trying to get his attention.
"Starscream, what is it?!", Megatron replied with a yell.
"We, uh…may have some unwanted company…", Starscream said as he pointed in a direction away from the cave.
Looking over to where Starscream was pointing, Megatron developed another devious smile on his face as he saw Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Prowl, Bulkhead, and Wheeljack all approaching them in vehicle mode.
Immediately when they were close, the six Autobots transformed into their robot modes, with all of them pointing their blasters at their Decepticon foes, followed by all of Megatron's Decepticons doing the same in return.
"Megatron! Surrender, for you and your Decepticons have no right to be meddling with the power of Zo-Zla-Halawa in such a way!", Optimus Prime declared to his enemies. "Please, put down your weapons and cease what you are doing here, so that nature may run its course in allowing Godzilla to destroy him before you are responsible for causing irreparable harm to this world!"
"Optimus…so many times, you have attempted to sway me in simply putting down my arms as a means of preventing us from killing each other, and every, single time, you have failed to convince me to do so", Megatron said as an insult to Optimus. "What makes you think I would allow you to have your way so easily now, when we Decepticons are already at the helm of finishing what we had already begun with conquering this planet?"
"Even when attempting to show you reason, your pride and a lust for power still gets the better of you, Megatron…", Optimus said to his rival.
"And even when our war has dragged on for so long and even after losing an entire world, you still attempt to see the good in everyone, Optimus. What a pity…", Megatron replied. "Speaking of our war…Decepticons! Destroy them!", he commanded his troops.
"Autobots! Attack!", Optimus Prime ordered his team.
With both Optimus Prime and Megatron giving the orders to attack and eliminate their opponents, the Autobots and Decepticons charged at each other with all their might, where the Decepticons outnumbered the Autobots due to their higher number thanks to the Vehicon soldiers. During the clash between both teams, Optimus Prime and Megatron collided with each other, in which Prime's blade clashed directly with Megatron's! At the same time, other Autobots and Decepticons were targeting each other in battle, such as Bumblebee and Arcee fighting Starscream, Prowl fighting Soundwave, Bulkhead fighting Skyquake, and Wheeljack going against Dreadwing.
During the intense battle, however, Knockout and Breakdown were still present in the cave, as they were instructed by Megatron to continue working on feeding all that radiation to Zo-Zla-Halawa, where each of them were standing on platforms which had long cords attached to them, in which both of them connected to the crystals on Zo-Zla-Halawa's shoulders so as to feed him the radiation. It was obvious that they were already in effect due to the energy pumping through them and into the crystals.
As they were working, however, Knockout was attacked from above by Chromia, in which she shot down on him, near his feet before kicking him down and landing on the platform, in front of him!
"You really though you were about to get away with feeding into Megatron's delusions that easily?", Chromia asked as an insult to Knockout.
"Well, while I am on a time schedule here, I guess I can make room for a little surgery…", Knockout said as he stood back up before transforming one hand into his buzzsaw weapon and the other into his drill.
With Chromia and Knockout now locked in combat, Breakdown attempted to eliminate Chromia for Knockout by aiming his rocket launcher at her. Before he could fire, however, Breakdown was snuck up on and punched off his platform by Ironhide, who jumped down with him in order to deal with the Decepticon.
"Now, I understand you and Bulkhead have got some unfinished business between the two of ya, and that might be one thing, but if you're gonna try and hurt her like that, you're gonna have go through me first, punk", Ironhide said to Breakdown, still holding onto his no-nonsense attitude, especially when it came to protecting Chromia.
"Well, you might not be her or Bulkhead, but I know I'm gonna enjoy breaking you down just like I will with Bulkhead", Breakdown smiled at his pun while transforming his hand into his war hammer.
"Primus, it's gonna feel good to shut you up…", Ironhide frowned before he and Breakdown engaged in an epic brawl, with each of them trying to outdo the other in their sheer strength and power.
Back on the outside of the cave, the Autobots and Decepticons continued their brawl, where their leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, each continued trying to overtake the other.
"You may have been able to best me in combat before on the meteor, Optimus…", Megatron said just before punching Optimus Prime away. "But you would do well to remember why I hold my skills and title as a gladiator of Kaon!", he declared before charging at Optimus again.
Before Megatron could hit him, however, Optimus was able to dodge the swinging of his blade, and once he was at a good distance, he transformed his hand into his Energon blaster before firing on Megatron, only angering the Decepticon leader even more.
"You will never succeed!", Optimus yelled as he fired on Megatron.
Growing more irritated, Megatron attacked Optimus yet again, resulting in both of them clashing hands with each other.
"Oh, but I already have, Optimus, for it is only a matter of time until Zo-Zla-Halawa is given enough radiation to where he is able to be restored to his full power once again…", Megatron smiled deviously as he and Optimus Prime continued their battle.
As for the other Autobots and Decepticons in the battle, Bumblebee and Arcee fought alongside each other in dealing with the petulant Starscream. Since Starscream was weaker in strength than both of them combined, he mostly resorted to constantly dodging their attacks as he tried to secure hits on them with either his blasters or his missiles. During the battle between the three of them, even though she was smaller than Bumblebee and Starscream, it was obvious that Arcee was fighting with more aggression compared to them, as she was still angry and frustrated over Cliffjumper's death at the hands of Starscream.
Another battle that was taking place was the two Wreckers, Bulkhead and Wheeljack, doing battle against the Seeker twins, Skyquake and Dreadwing. With Bulkhead facing off against Skyquake, it was safe to say that Skyquake was generally the superior fighter, as he had advantages in both speed and strength against Bulkhead, who is already a strong Autobot in his own right. Despite this, Bulkhead managed to secure some decent hits on him, even hitting him in the face with his wrecking ball multiple times. Even with this, though, Skyquake still retaliated with stronger physical attacks, mostly aiming for Bulkhead's head and shoulders, with Bulkhead being the underdog in the fight. As for who the underdog was with Wheeljack and Dreadwing, for Wheeljack, it was no different, as Dreadwing was much stronger than him and arguably more skilled of a fighter, as well. Even with Dreadwing's skill, however, Wheeljack had one key advantage, which was his agility, as he was able to effortlessly dodge many of Dreadwing's attacks. This did not stop the two from continuously engaging in having their swords clash together, in which Dreadwing proved his superior strength by having the advantage when it came to this kind of fighting. Despite being the underdogs, Bulkhead and Wheeljack still fought with everything they had against the two Seekers.
Another battle that was taking place outside of the cave was Prowl facing off against the eerily silent Soundwave, where the two of them seemed to be pretty evenly matched in their fight. Knowing that Soundwave's weak spot was his visor, which could easily be cracked, Prowl kept attempting to aim for his head, but Soundwave's quick reflexes gave him the edge he needed to block his attacks and allowing him to use his tentacles as extra appendages to punch Prowl away or even shock him a bit.
As for Chromia dealing with Knockout on one the platforms next to Zo-Zla-Halawa's right crystal, with her superior agility, more hardened battle experience, and her main priority being something other than not getting her paint job scratched, Chromia was able to best Knockout in combat, resulting in the Decepticons' medic being pinned on his back.
"Give it up, Knockout. You're done", Chromia asserted as she loomed over him with her blaster pointed at him.
"I don't suppose there is a case I could make to not have you kick me off of this platform…?", Knockout asked with a nervous smile on his face.
"Sorry, but no can do", Chromia said before promptly kicking Knockout off the platform, causing him to tumble down the rocks of the cave, injuring him and taking him out of the fight. And yes, his finish had some scratches on it, too.
"Not gonna lie, that actually felt kinda good", Chromia smiled a bit before turning her attention to the control panel responsible for feeding the radiation into Zo-Zla-Halawa's crystal. "Alright, let's see if I can figure out how to work this thing…", she said to herself, hoping to find a way to prevent the Space Godzilla from absorbing any more of the radiation.
Meanwhile, just like Chromia did with Knockout, Ironhide was able to defeat Breakdown in their battle, with him being pinned to the ground on his back and being severely wounded with the war veteran looming over him with one of his cannons.
"Punk-ass Decepticon", Ironhide said as an insult to Breakdown. "I'd recommend staying your ass down unless you want any more of the smoke, bud". He then turned his attention to Chromia. "You good up there, babe?", he asked his partner.
"I think so, Ironhide! It looks like I can figure it out from here", Chromia replied. "Just keep Breakdown down for me, okay?"
"You got it!", Ironhide said as he kept his cannon pointed at Breakdown.
As for the battle taking place outside of the cave, Megatron, while battling Optimus, took notice of Chromia taking control of the radiation that was flowing into Zo-Zla-Halawa, meaning she was aiming to stop him from absorbing it. However, with this being his one ticket to finally conquering Earth, Megatron was not going to let the Autobots have their way today.
"Soundwave, Zo-Zla-Halwa has been compromised", Megatron contacted his communications officer via his com link. "Secure him, and increase the radiation's drive to maximum capacity, for I am eager to see how easily our newfound ally will destroy the Autobots…"
Hearing this via his com link, Soundwave gave a nod in response. Before he could do as Megatron commanded, however, he ended up being punched in his visor by Prowl. Even though it was not enough to crack the visor, it was enough to stun Soundwave and cause him to land on his back, with Prowl now standing over him with his blaster pointed at him.
"Soundwave, you are hereby under arrest for several unspeakable war crimes, aiding in the potential destruction of Earth, and just for being a Decepticon in general", Prowl said as he charged up his blaster, pointed at Soundwave's head.
Just before he was about to shoot, however, Prowl noticed that something seemed different about Soundwave's chest, and before he could connect the dots, Prowl was fired upon from above and behind by Soundwave's surveillance drone, Laserbeak. With Laserbeak's blasts not doing any damage, Prowl quickly turned around and with his skill in precision shooting, was able to shoot Laserbeak down, causing the drone to violently land on the ground, in front of him.
With Prowl distracted, however, this gave Soundwave the opportunity to get back on his feet and use his two tentacles, in which he latched the claws on the ends of them onto Prowl's shoulders, followed by him sending shockwaves into the police officer, causing him to fall to the ground in a now dazed state. With Prowl out of the way and still having the objective given to him by Megatron, Soundwave used his tentacles to pick up the damaged Laserbeak and store him back in his chest, followed by him transforming into his jet mode and flying into the cave as fast as he could.
Soon enough, Soundwave reached the control panel Chromia was currently accessing, where he transformed back into his robot mode and before Chromia could even react, he used his tentacles again to shock her just enough for her to fall off the platform, just like Knockout did before.
"Chromia!", Ironhide yelled in distress as he aimed his cannon at Soundwave.
Before Ironhide could fire, however, Breakdown managed to get a hit on Ironhide by striking him in the back of his knee with his war hammer, causing Ironhide to lose his balance a bit.
"Come on, I'm not finished with you yet, old timer", Breakdown said with an arrogant smile on his face.
"Why, you…", Ironhide gritted his teeth before engaging Breakdown in battle again.
With Ironhide distracted, Soundwave took it upon himself to increase the flow of radiation into Zo-Zla-Halawa the only way he knew how. In doing so, he used his two clawed tentacles to send electrifying shockwaves through the control panel he was on, causing the radiation to flow into Zo-Zla-Halawa at an alarming rate, both on the right crystal and the left crystal.
With the radiation now coursing through and into the Space Godzilla at an exceptionally fast rate, the evil Zo-Zla-Halawa opened his white, soulless eyes yet again, as he instantly felt all the raw power flowing within him. And now, with his full power restored thanks to all that radiation fed into him that fast, the Great Eternal Enemy had returned to claim this world as his and his alone.
"SKREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAARK!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared out at the top of his lungs, triumphant that he has finally been restored to his former glory.
With him having regained his full power, Zo-Zla-Halawa was then able to break himself free of the remains of the meteor he had crash landed in, where he was able to stand on his own two feet as his own body dislodged itself from all the Dark Energon crystals the meteor was comprised of.
Feeling admittedly intimidated, Soundwave transformed back into his jet mode and fled from the cave as fast as he could, for even he was now afraid of Zo-Zla-Halawa's unbridled power.
As for Ironhide, Chromia, Knockout, and Breakdown, after Ironhide just punched Breakdown into the wall of the cave, causing some rocks to fall on him and take him out of the fight, he, Chromia, and Knockout all noticed as Zo-Zla-Halawa was re-emerging from his slumber, all of them in fear as they were now at the mercy of his wrath.
"Skreeeeeeeaaaaark!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared again as he continued to emerge himself from his prison of the meteor, seeming as if he was intending to kill all of them right then and there.
Feeling the fear rush through them and acting on pure instinct, Ironhide, Chromia, and Knockout all transformed into their vehicle modes and drove through a tunnel on the ground of the cave in order to escape from the mad titan.
Soon enough, the mighty Zo-Zla-Halawa was finally able to emerge from the meteor, standing on both of his legs, which were revealed to have toenails in the same pink hue as the rest of his crystallized dorsal plates, all of them seeming reminiscent of the blood of Unicron as they were present down his back and got smaller and smaller, going down his now revealed tail, which also had a thagomizer comprised of the crystallized blood of Unicron at its tip.
As soon as Zo-Zla-Halawa was freed, however, Breakdown managed to get himself back on his feet after emerging himself from the rubble he ended up in after fighting Ironhide. As soon as he did, he looked up in horror as he saw the Space Godzilla now completely freed and restored to his full power. Horrified by the sight of Zo-Zla-Halawa, Breakdown attempted to escape by transforming into his jeep mode and driving out of the cave.
Unfortunately for him, though, poor Breakdown was unsuccessful, as Zo-Zla-Halawa saw him attempting to flee, resulting in him raising up his foot, and before Breakdown could make it to the tunnel, he ended up being crushed into pulp underneath Zo-Zla-Halawa's foot, all while Zo-Zla-Halawa smiled with an evil, toothy grin as he crushed him, feeling and hearing all the metal underneath his foot get squished into nothing but the unrecognizable remains of a Decepticon warrior as he placed his foot away from where he crushed him.
On the battlefield between the Autobots and Decepticons outside of the cave, Optimus Prime was able to pin Megatron down on his back, and after briefly staring down his archrival, Optimus Prime aimed his blaster at the Decepticon leader's head, intending to finish him off for good.
Before Optimus could make the move, however, both Autobots and Decepticons took notice of Zo-Zla-Halawa bursting through the roof of the cave as he slowly ascended upwards towards the surface, finally feeling the sensation of moving his legs once again.
"Skreeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaark!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared again to let everyone there know of his presence as Megatron had a sadistic smile on his face while everyone else present had looks struck with fear and terror.
"No…!", Optimus Prime said to himself in horror of what he was seeing.
Having regained his full power and therefore, his ability to do so, Zo-Zla-Halawa's dorsal plates and the crystals on his shoulders began glowing a bright pink, and before anyone else knew it, the Great Eternal Enemy fired a stream of dark atomic breath on the battlefield! Unlike the short bursts he was firing while imprisoned within the meteor, this blast was a constant stream of the dark atomic breath, as it was shot all in one motion through the battlefield.
The sheer impact of the blast of the dark atomic breath caused each and every Autobot and Decepticon to flee away from it as fast as possible. While the blast did not hit any important Autobots or Decepticons, a few unlucky Vehicons were killed by it, in which they were instantly disintegrated by it. On top of this, as Zo-Zla-Halawa fired his stream of dark energy along the battlefield, the dark atomic breath left a trail of the crystallized blood of Unicron emerging from wherever the blast made contact, which in this case, was straight from the ground.
After finishing firing his stream of dark atomic breath, Zo-Zla-Halawa focused his attention on Optimus Prime, aiming to kill him first due to him being a disciple of Primus. However, believing him to still be aligned with the Decepticons, Megatron flew in front of Zo-Zla-Halawa's face in his jet mode, followed by him transforming into his robot mode right in front of him, in order to get his attention.
"Hahahahahahaha, yes!", Megatron shouted in victory as the purple in his optics were glowing even brighter due to all the Dark Energon that was in effect. "Together, great Zo-Zla-Halawa, we will conquer this world! Now, as a show of your alliance with myself and our cause, destroy Optimus Prime!", he commanded with a vicious smile as he pointed at the Autobot leader.
In response, however, Zo-Zla-Halawa gave a disgusted look at Megatron, and while he was an animal at heart, meaning he may not be as intelligent as the Cybertronians were, he knew one thing was true in his quest for power: that he would never take orders from nor align himself with weaker life forms, including Megatron, who dared to even think that he was worthy to command such a power as the Great Eternal Enemy. With this, Zo-Zla-Halawa, charged up his dark atomic breath again. At first, Megatron took this as him about to fire on Optimus, but once he saw the Space Godzilla make eye contact with him, even the mighty leader of the Decepticons was struck with fear as to what was happening.
"What…? What are you doing?!", Megatron asked the Titan, growing concerned with what was happening.
As the pink hue began to glow within Zo-Zla-Halawa's mouth, Megatron finally knew that the Space Godzilla was about to betray him…
"No…no…!", Megatron yelled in fear as he instinctively grabbed one of the Vehicons next to him and held the trooper in front of the blast of Zo-Zla-Halawa's dark atomic breath.
Now, with Zo-Zla-Halawa firing his dark atomic breath at Megatron and the Vehicon held in front of him, while the Vehicon was instantly obliterated into ash, Megatron was fatally shot by the blast, in which the majority of his body was covered and enshrouded in the crystallized blood of Unicron, along with him flying back due to the sheer impact of the blast.
Even though it was most likely the Dark Energon flowing through his own veins that caused his body to remain intact, the blast was enough to cause Megatron's condition to be fatal, and in that moment, the Decepticon leader's optics faded into black.
With Megatron out of the picture, Zo-Zla-Halawa focused his attention on Optimus Prime, and even though he was normally one of the most fearless of Cybertronians, even he was paralyzed with fear while witnessing what just happened with Megatron. With him having dealt with Megatron, Zo-Zla-Halawa charged up his dark atomic breath again, to where he'd fire it on Optimus Prime and kill the disciple of Primus.
"Ratchet, we need a Ground Bridge now!", Optimus Prime ordered over his com link, regaining his composure.
And then, everything happened at once, with the Ground Bridge opening, the Autobots retreating, and the Decepticons scattering about in their jet modes all as Zo-Zla-Halawa fired his dark atomic breath towards Optimus Prime!
"Autobots! Fall back!", Optimus Prime ordered his team with a noticeable sense of fear in his voice.
"Decepticons! Retreat!", Starscream ordered just before he, Soundwave, Skyquake, and Dreadwing all retreated into the sky to get as far away from Zo-Zla-Halawa as possible.
As for Team Prime, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Prowl, Bulkhead, and Wheeljack were all able to retreat into the Ground Bridge and escape to the Autobot base, having barely escaped Zo-Zla-Halawa's stream of dark atomic breath, leaving a trail of crystallized Dark Energon in its wake.
"SKREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAARK!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared into the air at the top of his lungs, for even though Optimus Prime escaped, the evil Space Godzilla was more than happy to finally be restored to his former glory and now free to unleash his wrath upon the Earth once again.
On top of this, even though Optimus Prime got away, the Great Eternal Enemy knew that there was someone far more important that he intended to deal with. Looking out into the distance, Zo-Zla-Halawa could feel the strong taint of Primus coming from his ancient enemy, Godzilla, who he looked forward to getting his revenge on for defeating him so long ago.
To make matters even worse, with the powers granted to Zo-Zla-Halawa from the blood of Unicron so long ago, he has the ability of flight. Bending forward a good bit, some of the crystals on Zo-Zla-Halawa's back, along with all his skin and flesh under those crystals, began emerging from the rest of his body, and after concentrating enough energy, two large wings, each one larger than the Titan's own body, emerged from his back, each of them expanding more and more as they emerged. It even seemed that, as these wings emerged from his back, that the Space Godzilla's own flesh was getting painfully torn apart, as if this power of flight was granted to him at the cost of enduring a large amount of pain to access it. But it did not change the fact that oddly enough, Zo-Zla-Halawa seemed to revel in the pain, as he held a grimace on his face as wings emerged from his body.
"SKREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAARK!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared again as he expanded his wings to revel in his power.
As for the design of these wings, the forelimb and fingers of them were the same dark blue (almost black) color as the majority of his scales, while the thin fleshy part in between each limb was the same dark red color as Zo-Zla-Halawa's underbelly, along with the top of the forelimbs being covered in the same crystallized Dark Energon which constituted as some of his dorsal plates.
With this, Zo-Zla-Halawa flapped his large wings as he ascended into the air and flew towards Godzilla through the increasingly darkening sky.
Meanwhile, with the inside of the cave now crumbling due to Zo-Zla-Halawa making his escape from it, Ironhide, Chromia, and Knockout all drove through the crumbling tunnel in their vehicle modes, driving as fast as they could while avoiding all the falling rocks coming down on them from the ceiling. Thankfully, however, the three of them were able to make it out of the cave safely, where they all drove out of the tunnel and onto the open, rocky plain around them with some patches of grass here and there, and transformed back into their robot modes.
"Well, that was…unexpected…", Knockout thought out loud.
"Yeah, well I bet you won't be expecting what I'm gonna do to you for helping make this whole situation here happen…", an angry Ironhide said as he approached Knockout.
"Ah! Not the finish! Anything but the finish!", Knockout panicked before transforming back into his car mode and getting away from the two Autobots.
"Why, that little—", Ironhide frowned as he prepared to pursue him before Chromia reached her arm in front of him.
"Ironhide…calm down…", Chromia said in calm voice as she stopped him. "Come on…he isn't worth it…"
"Ah, you're right, babe. Sorry you had to see me like that…", Ironhide said in a bit of sheepish voice as he calmed down.
"It's alright. I don't blame you, not after everything that just happened back there…", Chromia said.
"Ironhide, this is Optimus Prime. Are you and Chromia still functional?", Optimus Prime asked his friend over his com link.
"We're here, Prime", Ironhide replied. "We didn't lose any other bots, did we?", he asked in a nervous tone.
"No. We are all here and accounted for. I will have a Ground Bridge sent to your location immediately", Optimus said.
"Right on, Prime. By the way, I know it's a bit of a sudden question, but…you got any ideas as to how to take this thing down?"
"For now, we must place our faith in Godzilla. Other than that, we will work with what we have. Return to base, and we will find a way to end this".
With this, the Ground Bridge opened right in front of Ironhide and Chromia, where they both entered it in order to return to the Autobot base, with Ironhide's large arm wrapped around Chromia's shoulders and Chromia having her arm wrapped around Ironhide's hips.
It was now nighttime outside, and as for Zo-Zla-Halawa, the Space Godzilla arrived and descended from the night sky into the state of Sonora, Mexico. Trampling through one of the cities of Sonora, however, was Godzilla, who immediately took notice of his ancient rival descend in the sky, letting out a low growl as he saw him. Upon taking notice of Godzilla, Zo-Zla-Halawa landed in front of him, with his landing alone causing the earth to shake around him as his wings were tucked back into his body.
And now, both Godzilla, the King of the Monsters, and Zo-Zla-Halawa, the Great Eternal Enemy, stood off against each other, where the only thing each of them could think about was killing his opponent in order to prove that this planet belonged to him and him alone.
"SKREEEEEEOOOOOOONK!", Godzilla roared at Zo-Zla-Halawa.
"SKREEEEEEAAAAAAAAARK!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared back.
Having challenged one another to a fight that would determine who sits on Earth's throne, Godzilla and Zo-Zla-Halawa charged at each other with all their might, and once they collided, Godzilla was immediately on the offensive as he kept trying to push Zo-Zla-Halawa down or into a building. Zo-Zla-Halawa, however, was unfortunately stronger than Godzilla, and because of this, the Space Godzilla got an immediate advantage when he quickly grabbed Godzilla's head with his claws, followed by him violently slamming him into the ground, face first, as hard as he could!
"Skreeeoonk!", Godzilla let out a small roar as his face plummeted into the hard ground.
Before Godzilla could even get back up, Zo-Zla-Halawa stomped on his head as hard as he could, slamming Godzilla's head into the ground yet again. Already, even though the fight had just begun, Godzilla was already powerless in this situation, as he was not able to unleash any form of attack against Zo-Zla-Halawa as the Space Godzilla continued stomping his face into the ground. Even though Godzilla had some incredible durability, he knew that not even that would be able to last forever, especially since he was going against another member of the Gojira species, one that wields the power of Unicron, at that. To make matters even worse, Zo-Zla-Halawa held a malicious smile on his face as he kept stomping on Godzilla, even appearing to be letting out some laughter as he watched his opponent suffer.
Eventually, Zo-Zla-Halawa ceased his stomping on Godzilla's head, and with Godzilla dazed from the assault, Zo-Zla-Halawa grabbed him by his tail and threw him across the city, resulting in Godzilla being flung into an entire city block, crushing all of the buildings below him as he landed on the ground. As unfortunate as it was, even with all the power Godzilla had gained from absorbing all that radiation before, Zo-Zla-Halawa was still the stronger opponent.
"Skreeeeeeeaaaaaaark!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared triumphantly before he began slowly approaching the downed Godzilla.
As Zo-Zla-Halawa approached him, however, a whirring sound was occurring from the city block Godzilla had plummeted in, and with that sound accompanying Godzilla's dorsal plates glowing an even brighter blue, it was clear that he was charging up his atomic breath once again. And before Zo-Zla-Halawa could even react, Godzilla fired his blue stream of atomic breath straight at him! Even though Zo-Zla-Halawa was extremely powerful, the blast from Godzilla's atomic breath hitting him directly in his chest caused him to be sent flying and falling back into another building, inflicting some considerable damage to the him!
"Skreeeeeaaaark!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared again, this time, in a state of pain due to the damage he took from the atomic blast.
"Skreeeeeooooonk!", Godzilla roared out as he stood on his feet once again while slamming his tail on the ground, indicating that he was never going to back down a being he despised so much like that.
With Godzilla's atomic breath doing some notable damage to him, Zo-Zla-Halawa chose to fight fire with fire, in which he began charging up his own dark atomic breath, evident by all his dorsal plates and the crystals on his shoulders glowing a bright pink.
Understanding what was happening, Godzilla began charging up his atomic breath again, where his dorsal plates were glowing an even brighter blue yet again.
Then, in that moment, both Godzilla and Zo-Zla-Halawa fired their beams at each other, in which both of them directly collided with each other, resulting in a beam battle between the two of them as they struggled for dominance. Even with both of the Gojira trying their hardest in the beam battle, the impact of the beams was enough to cause an explosion where they collided, causing Godzilla and Zo-Zla-Halawa to fall back in opposite directions.
Given just how massive the explosion was, the entire city they were in was now enshrouded in smoke. As for Godzilla, as he got back on his feet, with the smoke making it difficult for him to see, he now attempted to get a beat on where Zo-Zla-Halawa was, due to the blood of Unicron that flows within him and the power of the Primes that flows through Godzilla.
Just when it seemed like Godzilla was able to get a fix on his general direction, however, Zo-Zla-Halawa came flying towards him at full speed, with his wings out and tilted back to increase his aerial speed! Having caught Godzilla off-guard, Zo-Zla-Halawa grabbed his shoulders with his claws as he forced Godzilla down, still holding onto him as he was forcefully dragging him on the ground, on his dorsal plates!
"Skreeeeeeooooonk!", Godzilla roared in pain as his dorsal plates were getting increasingly damaged from being dragged into the ground in such a way.
Wanting to inflict even more damage to Godzilla, Zo-Zla-Halawa expanded his wings and used them as he flew up into the sky, with Godzilla still in his grasp. Godzilla, not giving up, fought back by biting Zo-Zla-Halawa in his arm, which caused the Space Godzilla to roar in pain, but Zo-Zla-Halawa used the thagomizer at the end of his tail and stabbed it into Godzilla's hip!
"SKREEEEEEOOOONK!", Godzilla roared in even more pain as the thagomizer was actually able to penetrate through his hide and draw blood from him.
Having reached a high enough altitude, Zo-Zla-Halawa finally released Godzilla of his grasp and removed his thagomizer from his hide, causing Godzilla to fall back down to the surface, where he crash landed and landed directly on his dorsal plates, causing even more pain for him. With him landing on his dorsal plates, Godzilla flopped over on his side and desperately attempted to use what little strength he had left to get back up.
Zo-Zla-Halawa noticed this, however, and he was not going to allow Godzilla to escape from his wrath. Using his dark atomic breath, he fired it both directly at and around Godzilla, damaging the King of the Monsters even more and even creating many crystallized structures of the blood of Unicron around him. With Godzilla now unable to fight back due to all the damage he had taken, and with Zo-Zla-Halawa strategically using his dark atomic breath, he was able to imprison Godzilla in a large dome of the Dark Energon. Within the dome, even though Godzilla was not dead, he was losing power and fast, evident by the blue glow emanating from his dorsal plates fading.
Having emerged victorious, Zo-Zla-Halawa used his large wings to descend back down, planting his feet on top of the imprisonment as a show of his victory over Godzilla.
"SKREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAARK!", Zo-Zla-Halawa roared into the night sky as loud as he could as he spread out his wings as a show of dominance to the rest of planet Earth.
In his mind now, Zo-Zla-Halawa, the Space Godzilla and the Great Eternal Enemy, had won the battle that determined the fate of Earth, and now, with him being Earth's new ruler, he intended to make sure that he would finish what he started all those millennia ago in using the power of Unicron to terraform Earth to his own liking.
IMPORTANT: I am going to be on vacation once again and my first full day back home will not be until Sunday, July 7th. During that time, I will not be updating this fanfiction since I will want to spend that time hanging out with my friends and family. But as soon as that date I mentioned arrives, I will resume working on this and see it through to the end! Stay safe everyone!
