Stitched Kitsune: Chapter 42

With Naruto, Utakata, Tsunade, Hinata, Fubuki and Hotaru

Naruto and the others were all running west to reach the village that they were told was being attacked; as they ran along the road Naruto turned to Utakata and spoke.

"So you said these guys are Yagura hold outs" Naruto said and Utakata nodded "have you ever seen these guys before; has there been any other attacks".

"A few in the surrounding area" Utakata said "most of the time it was squad sized units, four to five men; once I took on a platoon of twenty, but this is different". "I don't know if he was accurate with the number, but one hundred… that is a massive problem" Utakata said and Naruto and the other nodded.

The group ran further down the road and they saw the sky was turning red "huh… dawn" Hotaru said as she looked at her watch "but… it's only midnight".

"That's not the sun girlie" Fubuki said and Hotaru looked at her; as the group got to the top of a hill Hotaru saw what Fubuki was talking about. Off in the distance was Shimazu village completely engulfed in fire; there were shouts and screams coming from the burning village.

"My Kami" Hotaru said holding her hand to her mouth; Hinata also looked on in shock as she has never seen anything like this. The invasion of Konoha seemed smaller and more tamed compared to the destruction she was seeing; she looked to the side at the other and wasn't even surprised.

Naruto, Utakata, Tsunade and Fubuki all looked on with scowls of anger not looks of fear; they have all seen something like this before and they were not as disturbed as Hinata and Hotaru.

"Sons of bitches" Tsunade said clenching her fists before turning to Hinata "Hinata; use your Byakugan and scan the village, try to get and accurate number".

"Y-Yes Lady Tsunade" Hinata said before making a hand sign 'Byakugan'; Hinata's Byakugan activated and she looked at the village and began searching. It was total pandemonium as civilians and shinobi were running around in a frenzy of killing and looting; Hinata tried to focus on the larger chakra signatures since those were more likely to be shinobi. After about a minute Hinata deactivated her Byakugan and spoke "I counted eighty seven high chakra signatures; so that mean there are for sure eighty seven ninja" she said.

"And that leaves an unknown number of lower skilled ninja" Naruto said as he looked at the village "alright then; lets get to work". "Hinata should go with Fubuki so they can watch each others backs" Naruto said and Fubuki walked over to Hinata and wrapped her arm around her.

"I'll wear her like underwear Naruto" Fubuki said "I'll fly above the village with her and provide overwatch".

"And I'll use my bow to provide sniper support" Hinata said and Naruto nodded.

"I'll head in from the southern part of the village" Tsunade said as she took off her haori and threw it aside "i can handle myself".

"I'll go in from the north with Hotaru" Utakata said and Hotaru nodded; Hotaru then had a thought and spoke up.

"Wait, who's Naruto going with" Hotaru asked and Naruto looked at her and smiled.

"I'm going by myself straight up the middle" Naruto said as he took off his shirt and threw it aside revealing the 3 masks on his back "it'll be better if you guys aren't near me when I fight". "I'll be fine; this isn't my first rodeo" Naruto said as he began walking towards the village 'although this will be my first time saving a village rather than taking one over'.

"Ok then; let go and save the village" Tsunade said as she ran to the south while Utakata and Hotaru ran to the north.

"Ok Hinata" Fubuki said as she activated her wings and took out a harness "put this on".

"Ok" Hinata said as she put her legs through the leg holes before pulling it up and putting her arms through the arm holes; Hinata finished it by connecting it at her chest with a latch and pulling out any slack "ok I'm ready".

"Alright then" Fubuki said as she went right up against Hinata's back and connected herself to Hinata before activating her wings "lets fly". Fubuki took off into the air and

With Hinata and Fubuki

Hinata and Fubuki were both in the air flying above the burning village looking around; Hinata was using her Byakugan to scan the area and Hinata looked to her right towards a large rice paddy.

"Over there to our right" Hinata said as she brought out her bow "there are villagers escaping to the east with enemy ninja following them".

"Copy that; banking right" Fubuki said as she flew to the right and away from the village to the rice field; Hinata looking down saw roughly 100 villagers running through the rice paddy while being chased by 20 ninja. The Ninja began to throw shuriken and kunai at the civilians cutting them down; Hinata immediately went into actions and loaded a high explosive arrow.

"Arrow ready" Hinata said as she pulled back the bow string and aimed at the ninja down below; Hinata let go of the bow string and the arrow shot down towards the earth "shot". About 2 seconds passed until an explosion echoed through the air "Hit; two down" Hinata said as she took out two ninja at once; Hinata pulled out another explosive arrow as she looked down at the remaining Kiri ninja who were looking around confused. Hinata pulled back her bow string and aimed "arrow set" she said before releasing the bow string "shot".

Another 2 seconds passed by before an explosion happened and Fubuki began to chuckle "holy shit; I think that guy got blow to pieces" she said.

"They're running" Hinata said pointing as the remaining seventeen enemy ninja began to run north "they're heading north".

"Cowards… running away whenever someone fights back" Fubuki said as flew towards the escaping ninja; Fubuki reaching behind her back and into her pouch grabbing a scroll with red markings around the edges and handed it to Hinata "open it when I say so".

"Ok" Hinata said as she and Fubuki flew over the group of fleeing ninja when they were at the right spot Fubuki spoke.

"Open it now" Fubuki said and Hinata opened the scroll; a puff of smoke appeared and dozens of red colored grenades fell out of the scroll down towards the fleeing ninja. Hinata was looking with her Byakugan as the grenades impacted the earth and the results were devastating; the grenades were incendiary and they exploded into a fire storm hitting the remaining ninja.

The ninja were on fire dancing and flailing around as they tried to extinguish the flames; Hinata readied her bow with a normal arrow but Fubuki spoke "don't shoot; let them burn" she said.

Hinata hesitated for a moment as she looked down to the burning ninja and she begrudgingly put her arrow away; Fubuki seeing this knew Hinata wanted to put them out of their misery, but in Fubuki's eyes they deserved every minute of suffering.

"Let go somewhere else" Fubuki said as she peeled off to the left back to the village.

With Naruto

Naruto was running up the main road towards the village as he planned on doing a direct assault on the enemy; as he entered the village he heard screaming and saw a squad of 4 ninja holding down a woman. They were ripping and tearing her cloths off as she tried to fight them off and one of the ninja shouted.

"Hold still woman" a ninja said from behind his mask "you're making this a lot-" he didn't get to finish his sentence as something grabbed and pulled him away shocking both the woman and his comrades.

Naruto sent his arm out using his threads to control it and grab onto the ninja; Naruto pulled back his arm with the ninja flying through the air towards Naruto. Naruto hardened his body while cocking back his fist and threw a punch towards the ninja as he flew closer; Naruto's hardened fist slammed into the ninja's face cracking his skull and killing him instantly.

Naruto's arm reattached itself to him and Naruto threw the now dead ninja to the side "hey you bastards, let that woman go" Naruto shouted at the 3 remaining ninja; the 3 ninja were stunned and the woman found and opportunity to escape as she got up and ran away. Naruto scowled as he made a hand sign and his gold rings and bracelets turned into gold dust before turning into his gold knife "fine, if you won't come to me, I'm coming to you" he shouted as he rushed forward.

The 3 ninja snapped out of their shock and got up taking out some kunai and charging towards Naruto; the first ninja ran up to Naruto and slashed at him with his kunai. Naruto brought up his dagger and blocked the slash as the second ninja approached and sent a thrust towards Naruto; Naruto grabbed the first ninja's arm holding the kunai and pulled him across him.

The second ninja proceeded to stab his own comrade in the neck by accident and Naruto took this opportunity to send a stab of his own; Naruto drove his gold dagger into the ninja's temple piercing his brain and killing him.

The last ninja was a few feet away and Naruto pulled out his dagger from the ninja's skull and threw it at the last one; the dagger went into the last ninja's eye socket piercing his brain and killing him. Naruto walked over to the ninja and pulled his dagger out and was about to move on when he heard gurgling.

The ninja that was stabbed in the neck was on the ground holding his throat and Naruto groaned in annoyance; Naruto reached out and grabbed a discarded kunai and threw it at the wounded ninja hitting him in the chest killing him.

"Shut the hell up" Naruto said before continuing into the village; Naruto ran to the center of the village and as he did so more enemy ninja saw him and began to chase him. Naruto seeing more and more enemy ninja beginning to follow him smiled as he reached the center of the village.

About fifty enemy ninja now surrounded Naruto and he looked around 'woah this is a lot of them' he thought 'but if they're here then that means they're not killing and looting; hopefully that gives any survivors time to escape'. Naruto looked at the enemy ninja and saw their varying array of weapons.

The enemy ninja were armed with a varying degree of weapons from kunai and swords to spears and hatchets; Naruto seeing he was surrounded and smiled "well this should give me a little bit of a challenge" Naruto said as his threads began to come undone. Naruto's threads came out of his limbs, back and mouth wiggling like tendrils making the surrounding Kiri ninja back up in fear as they saw Naruto; one Kiri ninja swallowed hard, walked forward and spoke.

"Look boys; we got some kind of bloodline freak here" the Kiri ninja said with bravado "he's no different than all the others we killed"; the other Kiri ninja hearing this all began to murmur in agreement and got ready to attack. "Lets kill this bastard and-" The Kiri ninja began but never got to finish.

Naruto shot out his threads from his mouth at the Kiri ninja while he was busy spearing and his threads wrapped around him making him look like a mummy; Naruto used his threads to light the struggling man into the air holding him above everyone.

Naruto tightened the threads as tight as he could in a second and shredded the man into pieces as he fell down to the ground as a sludge; all the Kiri ninja backed up in fear and looked at Naruto.

Naruto's red slitted eyes looked back at them and he spoke "less talking… more dying" Naruto said before he charged ahead at the frightened Kiri ninja who then charged Naruto themselves.

With Tsunade

Tsunade was moving through her side of the village looking for any enemy ninja; as she rounded the corner of a street she saw two rogue Kiri ninja raiding a small store. The ninja were piling food, water and other things onto scrolls before sealing the items inside.

Tsunade looked to the ground and saw two dead civilians, a man and a woman; the man was dead by a cut to the neck while the woman had 2 kunai in her back. Tsunade seeing this shouted to the two ninja up ahead.

"Hey, you two come over here and fight me" Tsunade shouted and both ninja looked at her.

"Who the hell is this chick" one of the ninja said and the other took out his sword and spoke.

"Who cares, let's just kill her and get going" the other ninja said as he charged towards Tsunade while wielding his sword "you picked a stupid time to act brave lady". The ninja swung his sword at Tsunade who merely raised a single finger.

Tsunade stopped the sword with her finger and both ninja went wide eyed "you picked a stupid time to attack a village" Tsunade shouted as she threw a punch at the ninja. Tsunade's punch connected with his head and the force of the blow shattered his head and exploded it; the ninja's blood and brains splattered the walls of a nearby building and Tsunade walked forwards to the other ninja who was frozen in place.

"W-wait, wait; we can talk this out and-" the ninja began before Tsunade grabbed him by the neck and held him.

"Talk it out… you murdered these poor people" Tsunade hissed and the ninja began to cry.

"I-I don't want to die" he begged.

"Neither did they" Tsunade said; Tsunade flattened her palm into a spear hand and placed her fingers onto the ninja's chest. Tsunade slowly began to push her hand into the mans chest tearing apart his muscles and splitting his rib cage; the ninja gasped and gaged in pain as Tsunade pushed her hand in before finding what she was looking for.

Tsunade felt the beating of the mans heart and she put her hand around it; with a quick squeeze Tsunade crushed the organ to pulp as the man's eyes widened upon his death. Tsunade pulled her hand out of the man's chest and wiped the blood on his cloths before dropping him; Tsunade was about to leave until she heard a noise and turned.

Tsunade saw that lying next to some more goods was a girl no more then six or seven bound, gagged and scared out of her mind; Tsunade ran over and kneeled down next to her "it's ok, it's ok, I got you now" she said.

Tsunade used a kunai from one of the dead ninja to cut the ropes binding the girl and took the gag out of her mouth "are you ok sweetie; do you-" the girl ignored Tsunade and ran over to the two dead store owners.

"MOMMY, DADDY" the girls screamed as she began to cry over her dead parents; Tsunade seeing this felt her heart break but steeled herself and walked over to the girl picking her up and carrying her.

"Shhh, shhh, it's going to be ok now" Tsunade said softly, trying to comfort the girl "let me get you somewhere safe"; Tsunade began to run with her girl back to the edge of the village so that she'd be safe as Tsunade and the others continued to mop up.

With Utakata and Hotaru

Utakata and Hotaru were both fighting against a group of twenty rogue Kiri ninja; Utakata put his bubble pipe to his lips and began to blow out a stream of bubbles towards a group of ninja on a roof. The bubbles hit the roof and it exploded killing two ninja and wounding several others with shrapnel.

Several ninja threw shuriken and kunai at Utakata in an attempt to kill him; Utakata was about to defend himself but Hotaru got in front of him going through hand signs.

'Water Style: Wild Water Wave' Hotaru shot a powerful stream of water from her mouth at the oncoming kunai and shuriken; Hotaru's water jutsu knocked the projectiles out of the air and ended up hitting one of the ninja who threw it.

"Thank you Hotaru; that was much appreciated" Utakata said as he looked to the side and saw a fire hydrant; Utakata launched a bubble at it and the fire hydrant exploded and water began to shoot out of the ground. Utakata began to go through hand signs until he stopped "Water Style: Water Vortex Jutsu"; Utakata launched a water vortex towards the Ninja and one of them rushed forward going through hand signs.

"Water Style: Water wall" The ninja used the water on the ground to form a water wall to protect himself and his comrades; the water vortex hit the water wall and the result was both jutsu nulling each other.

Utakata expected this and he and Hotaru rushed forward towards the rogue ninja to engage them in close combat; upon closing the distance Utakata went through hand signs again 'Water Style: Water bullets'. Utakata fired a volley of water bullets at the ninja and several were hit and were knocked down.

Hotaru took out a kunai and rushed towards a rogue ninja who was the furthest away from the larger group; the ninja saw Hotaru and took out a kunai himself and ran towards her. The ninja swung his kunai at Hotaru who brought up her kunai to defend herself; the 2 kunai clanged against each other and Hotaru followed up with a low kick to the ninja's testicles just like how Utakata taught her.

Hotaru's kick hit the ninja in the nuts and broke his defenses; Hotaru used her free hand to hit the ninja's wrist knocking the kunai out of his hand disarming him. The rogue ninja now disarmed balled up his fist and threw a punch at Hotaru; Hotaru ducked under the punch and thrusted her kunai into the mans arm.

The ninja screamed as he grabbed his arm and Hotaru followed up with an uppercut to the ninja's chin knocking his head up; Hotaru finished her assault by jumping into the air and spinning around. Hotaru delivered a spinning kick to the ninja's head knocking him out before landing; Hotaru looked down at the unconscious ninja and smiled as she defeated her first enemy.

Suddenly there was an explosion behind her and she turned around and saw Utakata fighting the remaining rogue ninja; she counted 10 in total meaning that half of the ninja were either dead or unconscious. Hotaru took out a 2 more kunai and rushed over to help her sensei as their fight went on.

With Naruto

Naruto ran towards a group of ninja and extended his right arm holding his gold dagger, using his threads to swing his arm like a whip towards a group of rogue Kiri ninja.

"Get down" one of the rogue ninja shouted as he fell down to the ground as Naruto's arm holding his dagger flew over his head; some of his comrades were fast and ducked along with him. However three of the ninja were not as fast and the dagger hit them; one was fully decapitated, one had his throat cut and the last one got the left side of his chest sliced open cutting his lung and heart mortally wounding him as Naruto's hand returned to him.

"Fucking hell, kill this bastard" a rogue ninja shouted as he and several others began to go through hand signs "Water Style: Water Bullets". The ninja and his friends all fired water bullets at Naruto as he ran towards them; Naruto put his arms in front of himself as the water bullets hit. Naruto put his hands down revealing that the jutsu was basically useless against his hardened body; Naruto gripping his dagger slashed a ninja across the gut disemboweling him.

A ninja came in from Naruto's left side and swung his sword down at Naruto; Naruto raised his arm and the sword hit his arm shattering. Naruto sent a kick towards the ninja's chest sending him flying into another ninja and both crashing into a building; Naruto morphed his gold dagger into a knuckle duster and rushed towards a heavily armored ninja holding a mace.

The ninja swung his club at Naruto and Naruto ducked under the mace before delivering a punch to the ninja's gut; the ninja coughed up his breath but wasn't taken out of the fight. The ninja used the pummel of his mace to hit Naruto in the back; Naruto despite using his body hardening jutsu still felt the hit and coughed out a little blood.

Naruto gritted his teeth and sent his threads from his hand into the ninja's body; the ninja screamed in pain and Naruto using his threads swung the ninja around and knocked him into several of his comrades before throwing him into a building. 3 ninja took out some kunai with exploding tags and threw them at Naruto.

Naruto seeing this ran as fast as he could as he dodged the explosion before stopping and quickly going through hand signs "Fire Style: Magestic flame jutsu"; Naruto fired a stream of fire at the 3 ninja setting them on fire.

'This isn't cutting it' Naruto thought 'I'm gonna have to bust them out'; Naruto began to groan as the three masks on his back all began to move and twist before pupping out of his back. Naruto's three masks formed their bodies made of his threads and stood up shocking the forty or so remaining ninja.

Naruto's Wind, Lighting and his new Fire heart all stood next to him and Naruto cracked his neck "ok, boys; kick their teeth in" Naruto said "Kill ten each and we'll be done soon"; the hearts heard this and all ran in different directions.

Naruto's lighting heart opened its mouth and fired a stream of lighting at a large group of ninja; the ninja all scattered as the heart followed them with he continuous stream of lightning. One ninja was hit and was fried to a crisp and fell down to the ground jet black and smoking.

Naruto's wind heart opened it's mouth and began to fire dozens of wind blades at a group of ninja; the wind blades cut through several like a hot knife through butter while some others dodged. The heart ran forward attempting to get in close and tear apart the survivors.

Naruto's fire heart was also engaging the enemy as it was firing a mass volley of fire bullets at a group of ninja hitting them and setting them alight; one of the ninja felt brave and charged the heart but sorely miscalculated.

The heart extending it's arm and grabbed the ninja before he could close the distance and pulled him close; the heart grabbed the ninja by his torso and legs and with one swift pull ripped the man in half. The heart threw the pieces to the side and began to once again engage the enemy.

"Damn that one is brutal" Naruto said looking at his fire heart; Naruto was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of shuriken coming his way. Naruto reformed his gold into his dagger and used it to knock the shuriken out of the air; Naruto got into a defensive stance as a ninja landed in front of him. Naruto looked at the ninja and realized he was different than the others.

He wore a purple chest plate, a mask that reminded him of Haku's and wielded sword and a tanto "huh… I can tell you're different than the others" Naruto said and the ninja spoke.

"They're a bunch of chunin and genin; I'm the one running the show" the masked ninja said "I'm one of Lord Yagura's personal Anbu; I'm not some amateur like those weaklings".

Naruto hearing this smiled evilly and spoke "so you're the head honcho huh" Naruto said as he reached into his pocket, pulled out a scroll and opened it. In a puff of smoke Naruto's wooden club appeared; Naruto swapped his dagger into his left hand and gripped the club with his right before getting into a stance. "You're gonna pay for what you did to this village" Naruto said in a growl.

"Bring it on freak" the rogue anbu said before he charged towards Naruto.

With Hinata and Fubuki

"Shot" Hinata said as she let go of another arrow; her arrow flew down towards the earth and found it's target. A rogue ninja was hit through the back as he ran across a bridge, the arrow severing his spine and making him fall to the ground; the ninja rolled to his side and accidentally rolled himself off the bridge into the water down below.

"Well the arrow didn't kill him, but drowning probably will" Fubuki said as she continued to fly over "that makes twenty seven we've killed so far; I think there are a lot more than you counted".

"I only looked at the higher than normal chakra levels" Hinata said "there are a lot of enemies here who have lower chakra levels than what would be expected of a shinobi".

"Probably genin or low level grunts" Fubuki said as she banked to the right "I mean the civil war went on for about eight years… these guys were probably bottom of the barrel". Suddenly off in the distance there was a massive explosion and both Fubuki and Hinata looked over "holy crap, what was that" she said.

Hinata focused her Byakugan and looked at where the explosion came from "I see thirty low chakra signatures, one high chakra signatures… and Naruto's chakra" she said "seems he's fighting the bulk of the enemy with his hearts".

"So Naruto is fighting them all by himself" Fubuki asked and Hinata nodded; Fubuki thought about it for a minute and shrugged "he probably has it covered". "Anything else out there" Fubuki asked and Hinata continued to scan; Hinata turned west and scanned and found something.

"There's a large group of civilians gathered at the west end of the village" Hinata said and Fubuki nodded.

"Ok lets go and take a look" Fubuki said as she turned west and flew to where Hinata said the civilians were at; upon getting closer the found out why they were gathered.

Tsunade was providing medical aid to a wounded man with a kunai in his chest as both Fubuki and Hinata flew down and landed startling the civilians.

"Lady Tsunade" Hinata said as she ran forward.

"Hinata, Fubuki; are you two ok" Tsunade asked and both girls nodded.

"We're fine; we took out over twenty ninja and have been flying around for the past few minutes; what's going on here" Fubuki asked and Tsunade spoke.

"My part of the village is clear of any enemy ninja; so I've been going around looking for survivors and bringing them here" Tsunade said "I'm not sure why but my side of the of the village was basically abandoned".

"Probably because of Naruto" Fubuki said "a large group of enemy ninja are fighting him and his hearts; the ninja from your side of the village probably ran over to fight him since he seems like the biggest threat".

"Either way we have an opportunity here" Tsunade said "while the enemy is distracted by Naruto we can go in and check for any survivors; I've found over fifty so far".

"Ok lady Tsunade" Hinata said before looking at Fubuki "lets go and see if we can find anyone"; Fubuki nodded and both girls ran back into the village while Tsunade kept on healing the wounded.

With Utakata and Hotaru

Utakata threw a kick towards an enemy ninja kicking him in the face and knocking him out; another ninja came up behind him wielding a sword and swung it towards his head. Utakata spun around and caught the arm wielding the sword; Utakata proceeded to disarm the ninja and grabbed the sword from his hand.

Utakata swung the sword and sliced into the neck of the ninja severing his arteries and cutting open his wind pipe; Utakata looked behind him and saw Hotaru was fighting 2 ninja at once and he decided to help her.

Hotaru dodged a punch from one of the ninja before the second threw a kick at Hotaru who jumped back to avoid the hit; as she did both she and the ninja were caught off guard when another ninja came flying in and crashed into the ninja who threw the kick.

Hotaru looked at where he came flying in from and saw Utakata fighting another ninja; Hotaru realizing the opportunity she was given took out several shuriken and threw them at the other rogue ninja. The rogue ninja snapped out of his shock saw the shuriken coming in and took out a kunai; the ninja used the kunai to defend himself against the oncoming projectiles.

Hotaru began to go through hand signs 'Water Style: Wild Water Wave'; Hotaru fired a water jutsu at the ninja who jumped out of the way and went through hand signs himself.

'Water Style: Water bullets' the ninja fired a volley of water bullets at Hotaru and she began to run up the side of a building in order to avoid it; Hotaru ran along the roof tops trying to avoid the water bullets when she was hit on the shoulder by one. Hotaru grunted but kept on running until she jumped off and over towards the ninja.

The ninja continued to fire water bullets as Hotaru was in the air; as she got near he stopped and took out a kunai just as Hotaru landed. Hotaru landed behind the ninja and he spun around sending stab towards her; Hotaru parried the attack and got in close. Hotaru threw an elbow hitting the ninja in the gut knocking the wind out of him and making him lean forward; Hotaru followed up by jumping and throwing a knee hitting the ninja in the face and knocking him out.

When Hotaru landed back on the ground and the enemy fell Hotaru looked over to Utakata and saw he was done with his fight; Utakata had plunged a kunai into the ninja's chest and pulled it out letting his body fall to the ground and looked to Hotaru.

"Hotaru, are you ok" Utakata asked and Hotaru nodded.

"I'm fine" Hotaru said breathing hard as the adrenaline was wearing off "I just got hit in the shoulder; nothing serious". Hotaru looked around and saw that about half of the enemy ninja were dead but the others were alive just unconscious or crippled "we should restrain them" Hotaru said as she reached into her pouch and took out some ninja wire.

"Oh… why would you do that" Utakata asked rhetorically.

"We should see what the people of this village want to do; they should decide their fates, not us" Hotaru said and Utakata nodded and smiled.

"Very good Hotaru; morals in the ninja world is a virtue very few people have" Utakata said as he took out some ninja wire as wall and began to tie up an unconscious ninja.

With Naruto

Naruto blocked a slash from the rogue anbu with his wooden club and countered with a slash from his golden dagger; the anbu used his tanto to block the attack and now both of his weapons were were being used to defend himself. Naruto smirked as several of his threads shot out from his chest in an attempt to grab the anbu.

The Anbu seeing this jumped back before he could get grabbed by Naruto and landed a few yards away; the anbu looked to his side and saw a well and began to go through hand signs.

"Water Style: Water Dragon jutsu" the Anbu shouted as a giant water dragon shot out of the well and went towards Naruto; at the same time as this happened the Anbu pushed chakra into his blades. Water from the ground went to his blades and covered them; the Anbu now had a layer of chakra infused water covering his weapons.

Naruto seeing the water dragon coming towards him put his club in the waistband of his pants and put his dagger into into his mouth biting down on the handle as he went through hand signs.

'Earth Style: Flying Stones' Naruto slammed his hands onto the ground and as he did so a large volley of stones shot from the ground towards the water dragon. The dozens of stones hit the water dragon and after about 20 stones hit the water dragon destroying it.

As that happened the anbu charged towards Naruto who was distracted by the water dragon; Naruto grabbed his weapons and began to defend himself as the anbu swung his sword and tanto. Naruto used his dagger to block a slash from the anbu's sword and then the 2 blades connected Naruto's dagger was damaged.

The anbu's sword cut through Naruto's dagger halfway surprising him; even though gold is a soft metal Naruto's chakra usually reinforced it enough where it could take some serious blows.

The Anbu slashed at Naruto with his sword and Naruto put up his club in order to defend himself; when the club and sword collided Naruto was relived as the wooden club was able to protect him from the attack.

The anbu raised a leg and proceeded to kick Naruto hitting him under the chin knocking his head up; the anbu sent another slash with his sword aiming for Naruto's left collar. The sword hit Naruto and gave him an inch deep diagonal cut from his left collar bone to his right hip; Naruto's hardened body stopped the brunt of the attack but Naruto still felt the pain.

Naruto gritted his teeth as he decided to go on the offensive; Naruto sent out his threads once more making the anbu jump back and Naruto chased after him. Naruto began to swing his club and dagger at the anbu who was trying to defend himself from Naruto; Naruto swung his dagger and the anbu used his sword to block the attack.

Naruto spun around clock wise going around to the anbu's right side and swung his club low; Naruto's club connected with his knee and the result was horrendous. The impact shattered the anbu's knee making his leg bend in a direction where it wasn't suppose to making him fall down; Naruto sent a kick to the ninja's back sending him skidding across the ground.

The anbu stopped a few wards away and turned around raising his weapons only for his left hand to be pierced by Naruto's golden dagger; Naruto threw his dagger to stop the anbu from using his tanto. Naruto swung his club at the sword the anbu was wielding and knocked it out of his hands; Naruto proceeded to mount the anbu and the anbu looked at him with furious eyed from behind his mask.

"Go ahead… finish me off you monster" the anbu said and Naruto smiled.

"Alright then; but this won't be nice" Naruto said as he deactivated his body hardening technique; Naruto's threads shot out of his chest and into the anbu's chest wrapping around his heart. The anbu began to scream in pain and horror as Naruto proceeded to rip the mans heart out of his chest and bring it into his own body.

A few seconds after the heart was in a fourth and final mask appeared on the open spot on Naruto's back; Naruto stood up and looked around as he saw his other hearts. Naruto's 3 other hearts had already finished killing their group of anbu and were walking back over to Naruto.

This was the scene that Utakata and Hotaru saw as they ran to the middle of the village; Utakata saw Naruto standing in the middle of the town square surrounded by dead bodies and his hearts walking towards him.

Utakata looked at Naruto as his hearts connected with his body and in a mass of threads; Naruto surrounded by the dead and the roaring fires looked like a black figure with glowing red eyes.

For one single moment Utakata saw Naruto and thought that he looked more like a monster than a man; Utakata looked to his side and saw Hotaru was shaking in fear from what she just saw Naruto did.

'N-Naruto' Hotaru thought in fright.

Naruto's hearts finished connecting with him and he let out a sigh as stood back up "oh man I'm tired" Naruto said as he looked around; Naruto stopped when he saw Utakata and Hotaru standing in the distance "Hey guys, glad to see you". Naruto jogged over like nothing around him even phased him and he stopped a few feet away from Utakata and Hotaru who were looking at him wide eyed "you guys ok; you look a little pale" he said.

"What the hell was that just now" Utakata asked and Naruto nodded.

"Oh that; I was just getting another heart, now I have five in total" Naruto said turning around and showing the 4 masks on his back "I now have a fire, wind, lighting and water mask now". Bot Utakata and Hotaru looked at Naruto with he same expressions they had "I get it, first time seeing it; it's not pretty as you can tell, but I was gonna kill him anyways" he said before looking to Hotaru "Hotaru sorry if that-".

Hotaru rushed behind Utakata and hid behind him shaking like a leaf and Naruto sighed 'ah crap… I scared her'; Naruto sighed and looked to Utakata "lets just find Tsunade and the others".

Utakata nodded as he and Hotaru followed Naruto leaving the horrific scene in the middle of the village.

The next day: With Naruto and the others

Naruto stacked the last of the bodies on top of the pile and breathed a sign of relief "finally done" Naruto said wiping his brow; Naruto, Tsunade, Fubuki and Utakata along with several other villagers stacked the dead bodies of the rogue ninja in a giant pile in the center of the village.

All together there were a total of 88 bodies and a few scattered limbs due to Hinata and Fubuki's bombing run; from what they estimated there were about 108 enemies killed and 10 who were taken alive by Hotaru and Utakata.

Naruto was covered head to toe in blood and grim and so were the others; Hinata and Hotaru were sitting a few yards away helping an old lady and a young man fix their store.

Hotaru was looking at Naruto as he conversed with some of the villagers "h-hey Hinata" Hotaru asked and Hinata looked at her "last night, when me and Utakata walked over and saw Naruto… he looked-". Hotaru couldn't find the words "is Naruto a good person" she asked bluntly.

Hinata looked at Hotaru and spoke "I'd like to think so" she said "Naruto rescued a girl from human trafficking, a girl and her mother from slavery, me and my friend from Konoha". "He's done a lot of bad; but he's also done a lot of good" Hinata said "he's just… lost; I say in the middle but closer to good than bad".

"He's good in my book" the young man said overhearing the conversation "that blonde kid killed the sons of bitches who killed my grandad; if anything he's a necessary evil".

"Hideki" the grandmother said and Hideki looked at her.

"Come on gamgam; he couldn't stop the attack with hugs and kisses" Hideki said "some times what you need to do to mean bastards, is find a meaner bastard to take them out".

"I wouldn't go that far" Naruto said walking up "I'm just a guy; a guy with a strange power and a demon inside him but I'm still just a guy".

"I don't know what kind of demons you have inside you sweetie; but you are the savior of this village" the old woman said walking up and giving Naruto a hug and a kiss on the cheek making him giggle in embarrassment. The woman reached into her pocket and pulled out a wad of cash "here you go son… for your trouble" she said.

"Nah I'm good" Naruto said with a smile as he walked over to a shelf and grabbed something before walking over to a fridge and grabbing a bottle "some chips and soda is all the payment I need". Naruto walked by and gave the old lady a pat on the shoulder and smiled "I appreciate it though" he said as he walked back out.

The old woman look at Hinata and spoke "what did he mean by 'demon inside him'; like post combat stress reaction" she asked "my husband suffered from that due to his time in the militia, fighting pirates and barbarians like the Kaguya clan".

Hinata smiled at the woman sadly and spoke "he has a lot of scars… some that will never heal" she said; Hotaru hearing this sighed sadly now feeling bad that she judge Naruto the way she did. A few seconds later they all heard Tsunade speak up and everyone looked over.

"Ok Naruto" Tsunade said "torch them"; Naruto made a hand sign and blew out a stream of fire setting the pile of bodies on fire. Naruto look a few steps back as the fire grew; all around the survivors of the village gathered around to watch the bodies burn.

Naruto looked at the body of the anbu he killed as the mask began to burn; Naruto spit through the fire onto the burning mask "Rest in piss you bastard" he said. Naruto looked to Utakata and spoke "lets get the girls and get going" Naruto said.

Utakata nodded at this "very well then" Utakata said "lets go meet this Mizukage"; Utakata turned around and began to walk over to Hinata and Hotaru.

Fubuki walked over to Naruto and put her hand his shoulder "are you ok" she asked; Naruto reached up and put his hand on her shoulder and spoke.

"Yeah… I am" Naruto said as he looked at Hinata, Utakata and Hotaru walking over "mission accomplished, I guess". Naruto's group all gathered up and Tsunade spoke.

"Ok everyone; let's get going" Tsunade said; Tsunade led the group out of the village as the funeral pyre behind them continued to burn.
