An eight year old Dominican girl with long brown hair, clear blue eyes, and a pair of cute blue suspenders over a long sleeved and rainbow striped shirt walked off the plane, and into a whole new place. The nice lady had helped her board the plane, and told her to look for a similarly dressed man when she arrived, so she started looking around until she spotted a man in a clean black suit and glasses.
With a bit of hesitation, she approached the man that looked right, and tried to smile, but before she could get to him a boy about her age ran up to her. He had vibrant green hair/eyes and a kind smile, but Luz had been told repeatedly not to get distracted. When she looked away from the boy she noticed the man was gone and she sighed.
The boy tilted his head in confusion, before he leaned in to whisper with a small hopefully smile, "Is your name Luz?" The girl took a step back in fear, but the boy just continued to smile. "My dad asked me to keep an eye out for a girl just like you coming off of a plane." The boy seemed to pause to think for a moment before his smile returned, "I know! The phase! Dad said there was a phrase I had to say, but you're supposed to start it."
Luz looked around nervously, but said, "It looks like it might rain cats and dogs?"
The boy smiled, "Nope, only gumdrops and ice cream showers today." Luz relaxed, and the boy held out his hand, "My name's Izuku Midoriya." Izuku looked away sheepishly, "Would you like to be friends?"
Luz gave the boy a hug, much to his surprise, and smiled back, "I'm Luz Noceda, and ya. Let's be friends forever." They both smiled, and Izuku led Luz over toward a tall man with snow white hair, dark red eyes, and a clearly fancy black suit. He smiled at the pair when he saw them, and kindly bought them all lunch. Luz had never tried katsudon before, but her new friend seemed to like it so she gave it a try. They all talked and the kids laughed as they got to know each other better. About twenty minutes later, Luz saw a familiar face, and rushed over with a happy screech, "AUNT LILY!" Luz wrapped her aunt in a hug, "Look, I made a friend. His name's Izuku Midoriya. He's so much nicer than the mean kids back home."
Lilith chucked, and combed through her orange hair with her fingers before looking up and seeing Izuku's father. Lilith paled, but Luz didn't notice. Instead she ran over to give Izuku and his dad a hug, making the man chuckle. He gave Lilith a sinister look, "It's nice to see you Detective Cawthorne. My son and I heard your niece was coming to town, so I thought I should stop by to make sure no one bothered the poor girl. I must say, she's a bundle of light and so adorable. You should be careful…" The man smirked, "...Someone could decide to take her for themselves."
Lilith nodded, still looking pale and very nervous, "Of course Mr. All-... Mr. Midoriya. Come on sweety, let's go. Your mom is probably worried sick." Izuku and Luz shared one last hug, before waving as they separated. They were each unaware of the ripples this meeting would have for each of them.
Seven months later, Eda Clawthorne was dead, some accident involving an unnamed pro hero had clipped the infamous Harpy's wings. Meanwhile, Luz's best friend Izuku was sitting with a very torn looking Lilith, while comforting a very distraught Luz. In tears they hear Lucia ask, "What are we going to do now? First Mami, now Mom…" The girl began to whimper, "Is it us? Are we bad luck, or somethin?" The girl turned and Luz asked, "Aunt Lily, are you going to..?"
Lilith sighed, "I'm sorry sweety, but I can't. I'm basically living on my partner Steve's couch right now. You know I would if I could. I love you so much sweethearts, but I physically can't."
Izuku gave Luz a hug, "Don't worry, you two. My parents and I can take you in until this gets straightened out. I mean, you're my best friends. I can't just let you go through all this alone. It's you and me against the world." Luz and Lucia snickered at how goofy their friend could be, but they couldn't help feeling warm and safe with him.
A now fourteen year old Izuku sat in class trying to keep his head down as he made more notes in his latest notebook. Thankfully, most people ignored him. After all, Izuku was just a quirkless nobody to them… not even worth the time to mock, but unfortunately there was one exception. Another issue… today was the day the class was supposed to submit their high school applications, and cruelly the teacher decided to announce the fact that they had two students applying to Yuuei, the most prestigious highschool for heroics in all of Japan.
Not only had their 'golden child' Katsuki Bakugo applied, but the quirkless reject Izuku had as well. This made Katsuki seethe with rage, while everyone else just laughed and mocked Izuku, the teacher included. After class, Bakugo dragged Izuku to the roof of the school, something he did regularly, and started to yell, curse, and beat the other boy until he was nearly unconscious. Before the red eyed blond left the crumpled bloody mess, Bakugo leaned down and whispered, "Learn your place you useless Deku… or better yet, jump. Do everyone a favor and take a swan dive off of this roof. You're a pathetic useless waste, and no matter how hard you try that's all you'll ever be. If you want to be a hero so badly, try to fly. Maybe you'll have better luck in your next life."
With that Katsuki left, but not before delivering one last kick to Izuku's ribs, and heard a satisfying crack. For the next fifteen minutes, Izuku didn't move, but once he had recovered enough, he began to shamble his way home. The walk was long, but Izuku didn't mind. It gave him more time to try to pull himself together, but as he walked through a tunnel he heard a voice, "I guess beggars can't be choosers. Sorry kid, but I need your body."
Izuku felt himself suddenly being surrounded by viscus green goo, and that same goo began to force itself down his throat. Izuku felt disgusted and angry at the audacity of this moron, but before he could do anything he heard another voice, "HAVE NO FEAR, FOR I AM HERE!" There was a burst of wind and pressure, and Izuku felt himself become free. He gagged and sputtered for a moment as air returned to his lungs, but before his 'savior' could bound away, Izuku grabbed onto his leg, and felt himself being bragged along on a ride as they flew through the air.
A minute later, Izuku was sitting on a roof looking at the perturbed face of his savior, the number one hero of Japan, All Might as his body smoked. Now freed, All Might tried to jump away again, but found himself stopped when the boy asked, "Please, All Might, I have to know. Can a quirkless become a hero?"
All Might gave the clearly battered boy a sigh as he stated sadly, "No. Without power it's impossible to be a hero. I don't know your story, kid, but you should give up. It might not be as glamorous, but you could still make it as a cop or a nurse if you try hard. Now, I have to go. Farewell."
Before he could leave the boy sighed and asked pleadingly, "I get it, but can I at least shake your hand. After that, I promise I'll get out of your way." All Might looked around nervously, but as his body began to smoke worse, he quickly grasped the boy's hand and shook it, not noticing a faint green spark, before he rocketed away. Izuku just sat and looked at his hand as he sat on that roof for hours.
Eventually, a black misty portal opened up, nearly invisible in the after dark hours, and a tall latina with pitch black hair that seemed to shimmer as light hit it giving it the appearance of a clear night sky walked out of it before it snapped shut. The girl sat down next to the boy in silence for a while, her violet eyes scrutinizing him until she sighed, "Asshole failed, didn't he?"
Izuku groaned, and extended his hand making green and red lightning dance in his palm, "Ya, Lu. He's just like Dad described… a hypocrite more focused on his legacy than anything else. Not only a murderer, but a moron." Izuku let out a long breath, "I got what we need though, and my body is mending. Can you fly us home? I… I just don't feel up to it right now."
Luz smiled sadly, "I can do that little bro. Don't worry, I'm sure your girlfriend will be happy to help you forget today." Luz flexed her back and a pair of obsidian wings that looked similar to her hair appeared on her back. Gently, Luz scooped him up, and began to fly them back to their penthouse using the light of the stars and moon to empower her wings as they flew without making a sound.
Twenty minutes later, Luz landed on their darkened roof, and opened the door down. No sooner did they step inside, than a blond in a schoolgirl uniform snatched Izuku from Luz and nuzzled him tenderly, making Luz scoff, but Izuku just shifted to hold her close, "I'm home my love. I'm sorry it took so long, but… it went as well as we feared."
The blond gave Izuku a look of pity, before flashing her fangs and licking some dried blood from his cheek, "Don't worry Zuzu, we're here for you. Now, as much as I'd like to take you into our room and clean you up the fun way, you look tired. I'll run you a bath to help you relax. We can play another time." The blonde ended with a flirty wink.
Izuku smiled at her and gave her a kiss that made the blonds toes curl, "I love you, Himiko. No matter what happens that's never going to change." With that they headed off to get that bath started and Luz sat on the couch as she smiled and remembered how her favorite couple got together.
It was two years ago, Luz and Izuku were going around one of the slums of their territory when they smelled blood, and went to investigate. After all, if someone was hunting in their town they needed to know about it, or the local heroes could get suspicious. When they arrived they found a blond haired girl with two messy buns, and a ragged blood stained middle school uniform, and she was giggling and crying to herself while surrounded by a trio of older men who were very dead with the center one still having a small knife sticking out of his throat.
Luz kept a safe distance to keep an eye out for passersby, and on the situation at hand. Izuku edged forward as if approaching a rabid animal, and held out his hand as he spoke, "Miss, are you alright? This place can be very rough, and stuff like this happens all the time. Why not take my hand, so I can help you?"
The girl looked up into Izuku's red eyes, and she smiled, revealing her sharp fangs. Reaching out, she grasped the knife and tore it free before carfully licking it clean, and sighing, "Sour… Sour men with sour blood. Why couldn't they just be nice, and give me a little sip like I asked." The girl tilted her head like a cat, "Do you think I'm pretty? Am I pretty all covered in red?"
Izuku chuckled and got on a knee before flashing a sadistic grin, "Yes, you are very beautiful, little minx. Would you like to talk somewhere else? As much as I enjoy seeing you covered in scarlet, people will start investigating soon, and you're far too delicious a prize to share."
As Izuku leaned closer, the girl's hand suddenly flew into action causing the knife to cut a small line into Izuku's cheek, but the boy didn't flinch or stop smiling even when the girl licked his blood off of the knife. Her eyes went wide as she cooed, "Sweet, so very sweet. Could I have some more?"
Izuku smirked, "Sure, but this place is a little dirty. Why don't we take this somewhere more… intimate. What's your name, little minx?"
The girl blushed, "Toga, Himiko Toga." Himiko's eyes narrowed as she saw the cut on Izuku's cheek disappear like it was never there. "If I go with you… can I cut you, and drink the red?"
Izuku smiled sweetly, "I'm Izuku, and you could. You could cut me for hours, and suckle at them, but is that really what you want? Wouldn't you rather get something to eat first? If you're a good girl, we could have a little fun when we get to our home, and more again tomorrow." Izuku took Himiko's hand, "A ravishing beauty like you deserves to be pampered. You shouldn't be lowering yourself to feeding on these rats." Izuku pulled Himiko close to him and into a tender embrace, "Let me take care of you, and I'll give you all the red you want."
Himiko trembled, and teared up, "You promise?"
"On my life," Izuku threw his jacket around Himiko to help hide the blood, and flashed Luz a cheeky grin, before starting to escort Himiko.
Luz leaned back and remembered how rough the next couple days had been. It turned out Himiko's quirk made her increasingly mentally unstable if she didn't consume enough blood. It took nearly four hours of cutting and bleeding for Himiko to get enough to stabilize, and another two to convince her they meant her no harm. It took a lot of trial and error, but they figured out how much blood Himiko needed to remain sane-ish. Realistically she was a blood crazed teenage girl with major trauma and in need of someone to care about her, that wasn't going to change, but under all that… Himiko was just a normal girl, and Luz was proud of Izuku for stepping up to help her. Luz was happy that Himiko could subsist on almost any blood, and not just Izuku's, for her own nerves. Getting a steady stream of blood from a couple butchers was actually really easy with the right incentive. Himiko knew better than to try to bite Luz again after the first time. Apparently, Luz's blood wasn't palatable for her and had made her ill for hours.
The day Himiko finally told them about how her parents used to beat and abuse her, while ignoring her very real need for blood nearly put the duo on a warpath. In the end the Toga's were only saved by the fact that they went into hiding shortly after the incident that had led to them abandoning their only daughter. Himiko didn't care if they lived or died anymore… she just wanted the chance to see her little brother again.
While Luz relaxed and mused, Himiko and Izuku were enjoying a bath. Something about holding each other as they did was oddly cathartic. Izuku held her tenderly before getting a mischievous look, and hooking Himiko's mouth with his finger and pulling her around to face him. In the process he made sure to catch his fingertip on one of her fangs in order to make it bleed. Himiko's eyes shifted from contentment to confusion, then to animalistic hunger as she sucked at the digit like a weaning kitten, before giving Izuku a desperate leading look as he pulled it away and smeared some blood on his lips. Himiko nearly purred as she leaned in and they kissed passionately as they enjoyed their moment. Izuku understood Himiko, and Himiko loved him for it.
When they broke the kiss, they both panted for air, and Himiko made circles on Izuku's fit chest as they returned to just enjoying each other's company, but a part of Himiko was angry as she could feel the bruises healing and fractures mending. With a growl, Himiko hissed, "Why do you continue to put up with that asshole. You're strong enough to end his miserable life, or better yet… tear his quirk from him and make him feel what it's like to be powerless. Zuzu, I might like to see your body awash in red, but only if I'm the one doing it. I never hurt you. I'm always tender and gentle, right?"
Izuku frowned, "Honestly, I wasn't entirely one for being cut when we started, but I learned to enjoy it because I love you, and seeing your face light up… it's euphoric." Izuku grinned, "It took a bit of work, but you're right, it doesn't hurt anymore. Maybe I'm just used to pain, or it's because it's you, but even if you slipped and cut too deep… I'd forgive you because I know you wouldn't enjoy it. We revel in blood, not pain, and I couldn't pick a better partner, my minx."
Himiko pouted, "Why then? Why haven't you killed the pomeranian yet?"
Izuku sighed before flashing a cruel grin, "It's not time yet. His time will come, but if I need to endure him in order to make a world where people won't judge us… judge you, my love, for something you can't help…" Izuku made a determined face, "I'd do it in a heartbeat. One day, I want to live in a world where I can proudly call you my wife without earning judgmental looks… where we can live, play, and love the way we like." Izuku blushed, "Maybe even have a family together… if that's something you want too."
Himiko leaned back and looked into Izuku's eyes, as if desperately searching for some sign of deception, but found none, only love. In a whisper Himiko asked, "Y-you'd really want that with me? Knowing that they might have the same thirst I do? You'd really give me a family?"
Izuku kissed her forehead, "You already have one. I love you, and Luz sees you as a sister, but yes… someday, I'd like to expand that family, but only with you, and only if it's something you want too. What do you think?"
Himiko cried as she kissed her boyfriend, "Yes. When the plan succeeds, and it's safe… I'd like that very much." After that the duo just held each other until the water started getting cold, and their hunger was starting to nag at them.
After they finished getting into their pajamas, a pair of green silk shorts for Izuku and an oversized red tee-shirt for Himiko, they went to address their growing hunger for food, and found Luz already enjoying some Katsudon of her own with two other bowl already made for her housemates, one having a noticeable tempora smell. They talked and laughed for a while before Luz excused herself to take a shower herself before bed, and left her little brother and his girlfriend to clean up before cuddling on the couch.
Luz let herself relax even more as she let the hot water beat on her sore shoulders and cascade down her back. For a moment she allowed herself to drift, but then she fell to a knee as a spike of pain went through her head, and she was ten again. Before her sat the man that was the only father she had ever known, if only adoptive, with his new black mask that helped him breathe among other things. He held out a hand, and promised to help them get stronger, but it was a half lie. Yes, they got stronger. Yes, they gained full control over their quirks, but at what cost. Luz and Lucia died as their minds were forced to merge and blend along with their quirks into someone new. Someone new was born who was neither sister and both at the same time, and it hurt… it hurt to exist, but in time they recovered, and they chose a new name, Nemesis. They chose to keep the name Luz for when they weren't working, but that wasn't their true name anymore, only a happy lie… a mask to hide the pain.
Luz pulled herself together, and finished her shower. When she was dressed in her purple silk pajamas, Luz did what she did every night, and sat beside Himiko and let her braid her long obsidian hair so that it wouldn't tangle during the night. While Himiko was distracted, Luz nudged Izuku and upon noticing something smirked, "Izu, your roots are showing. Remind me in the morning and I'll grab you some more green dye."
Izuku groaned in frustration, "I can't wait until I can just let it be white. As much as I enjoy the green, it's such a hassle to maintain. I still don't know why his quirk has this side effect, but at least mine allows me to hide my eyes to an extent." Izuku let his eyes shift to a deep crimson before returning them to the green he was born with… his mother's eyes.
Luz groaned, "Quit your bitching. You have both halves of the most powerful quirks in existence now, and the one quirk father doesn't know anything about. So what if it makes you go white early. I still get these fucking migraines from the merger, and you don't hear me complaining."
Izuku gave Luz a sad look, "You still get them? I thought that stopped a while ago."
Luz sighed while looking away in shame, "It's only every once in a long time, maybe once a month, but they hurt like a sumbitch."
Himiko giggled, "You two are hilarious. You're two of the most notorious villains in Japan, a bonafide S rank duo, and you're arguing like a pair of kids." Himiko hugged them both, "You make me feel normal. I love you both so much."
Luz gave Himiko an annoyed look, "You are normal, Himi. Don't let anyone tell you differently. If they try I'll tear out their hearts and feed it to them." Luz's fingers glowed with violet energy and they took on a claw-like appearance and a pair of black finger length horns appeared on her forehead. "Nobodies going to hurt my family again. I don't care who they are."
Izuku held up his hand as red and green lightning danced around his arm, "Damn straight, Sis." After a minute they both put away their quirks, and just watched a movie together until they drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Luz and Izuku received a text from the bar, and got ready for it to be a long day. Izuku got on his emerald colored business suit with his red tie and gas mask. While Luz got on her dark purple villain costume. It had a vaguely armored appearance with cut off sleeves and an opening in the back for her wings while still having the comfort and freedom of movement of a hoodie and sweatpants. Both siblings wore matching black fingerless gloves, the only accessory they demanded match between them, and with their preparations set, they text Kurogiri to open a warp. Izuku snuck one last kiss on Himiko's cheek before they left, but soon they were standing in the familiar bar with a pale man in his early twenties sitting on a stool, and another mist-covered man of indeterminate age behind the bar.
Spotting their arrival the pale man started to scratch his neck, "Ugh, Kurogiri. Why did sensei call in the brats?"
Before Kurogiri could respond, Izuku groaned, "Really Tenko, why can't you be nice for once? Maybe if you tried we might actually invite you to our sibling bonding night."
The man turned and gave Izuku an enraged look, "Tenko is dead. My name is Tomura, little brother. Remember it, or I'll add your hand to my collection."
Luz rolled her eyes, "Sure thing, Shigi. Back to the point, we'd like to know why we got called as well. Nexus has a cover to maintain if you still want him to spy on Yuuei, and I have our own organization to run. Sensei, what is your will?"
A screen came to life and the familiar voice of All for One came through, "Good morning, my children. It's nice to see you all together again. To answer your question my dear, I heard Emerald Nexus managed to grab a copy of All Might's quirk last night. Is this true?"
Izuku held up his hand and green lightning flickered around it, "I did, but it's incomplete and still weak. It'll take another few days to be fully incorporated, and another week before I can start training with it. If not for the regenerative quirk you gave me, and all of my training it's possible it might have torn me apart just to hold onto." Izuku smirked, "Regrettably, we both know it's impossible for me to give it to you. Our quirk is too capricious to let it go willingly, and trying to force it will just kill me before it can be passed. It's times like this I'd guess you regret giving me that copy of All for one?"
AFO chuckled, "Not at all my son. You are the culmination of all of my careful planning. With your siblings by your side we will herald a new age of darkness and control that will make my previous occupation look like a kindness. No, we will continue as we were for the time being. Tomura will continue to run the league and grow our organization. Luz, you will continue your work in the shadows destabilizing both the heroes and our competitors, while unifying the underworld for our takeover. Izuku, you continue to train yourself for now. The entrance exam might not be much of a hurdle for you, but we never underestimate or grow overconfident because that's when we make mistakes." AFO rubbed his mask, "I would know. Once you get inside, it will be up to you to undermine them from within, and gain as many allies as you can. Every hero you turn is another blade we can place against this sham of a society's throat."
All three nodded, as they said, "Yes sensei. It will be done."
With a final laugh AFO ended his transmission and Kurogiri finally spoke, "Is there anything you require?"
Izuku smiled, "No, Uncle Kuri. I think we have everything handled. We keep our jobs segregated for a reason, and not just because father demands it. If it's ok, I would like to spar with Gigantomachia once I've fully integrated my new quirk."
Luz sighed, "We'll need to change. We have errands and grocery shopping to do, and we tend to stick out in our 'work attire'."
Kurogiri nodded and opened a warp back to the penthouse, "I will take care of scheduling the spar, Master Nexus, and I stand ready to aid you, Mistress Luzura." Both nodded their thanks and headed back home. Before anything else, they had breakfast to enjoy, and nobody got between them and their meals.
Luz's hobby was cooking. Something about taking raw ingredients and turning them into something new and delicious, it gave her a feeling of peace. Izuku and Himiko weren't going to stop her either. Not when indulging her hobby meant they could enjoy exquisite steak omelets or fancy lobster alfredo dinners. Luz had learned from the best, and even worked in one of their fathers multi Michelin star restaurants on special occasions or when she felt the itch to. Afterall, who was going to stop the owner's daughter from doing as she pleased, especially when she cooked circles around even their best chefs.
After breakfast, the three separated to do their errands. Luz handled shopping, Izuku made contact with their legal distributors for training gear, since they tended to need replacements often, and Himiko skipped off to play her part as Nemesis's second in command. Since Toga had a higher body count, she worked as a great show of force to any upstarts in the underworld. After all, if Nemesis could keep the mass murder on a leash she must be truly terrifying, and what could be more terrifying than an assassin who didn't need to be secretive about slowly slipping a knife between your ribs while wearing a giddy grin.
With their morning responsibilities taken care of, the trio decided to just relax for a few hours. They each had plans to do that night, but until then they didn't see a reason not to just kick up their feet. They weren't that lucky though. About an hour into an old pre-quirk movie, Ratman: Revenge of the Prankster, Luz got a text on her 'work phone'. This was an issue, due to the fact that only very specific people had had that number. All three let out a groan as Luz reached out to see what the issue was.
(Mama Yaga) Milaya docha, we need some help. Some of my staff got hurt.
(Nemesis) Is this a code yellow, red, or black?
(Mama Yaga) Is yellow, at the moment, but soon red.
(Mama Yaga) please. We do not wish to bother, but they are afraid.
(Nemesis) No, I'll be there shortly. You need not fear, we'll get this sorted.
While Himiko had read over Luz's shoulder, Izuku sat and waited to find out what was wrong, but seeing the hateful glow to Luz's lavender eyes, he just sighed, "Are we making a mess?"
Luz smirked, "Dress to impress, but expect a mess." Luz growled, "Somebody attacked Mama and her kids. This will not stand."
Himiko giggled, "Dumb bastards, they never learn." Izuku gave Himiko a small kiss before pulling her away to get on their work clothes.
As usual, Luz had to wait for her partners in crime, and ignore the fresh bite mark hidden by Izuku's collar, they'd fade soon, but given who they were going to see, they seemed to keep it short, and Luz had to admit… She liked Toga's new costume. It was a black short sleeved school girl top with a red skirt and tie. Instead of a full mask, Toga wore a half one with a smiling oni look and hidden tubes leading up to the fangs. It really complemented her little brother's green suit and gas mask. Luz never asked where Toga kept her knives, and she probably never would.
After a short warp to the alley behind their target, The Twilight Love, they entered in like they owned the place… Luz kind of did. One of Luz's duties was running the Red Light district in multiple cities, but this one held special significance to her. This was her second home, and Mama Yaga was a dear friend. As soon as they entered, the trio noticed a few bouncers being patched up by a few dancers, and it made their blood boil. When one of the girls noticed them approaching, she handed off her work to one of the male dancers to finish bandaging a nasty cut she had just stitched. Bowing deeply to all three, she started to stammer and cry, "We're so sorry, Nemi-chan, but they wouldn't leave, and… w-we couldn't st-stop them."
Luz cupped the woman's check, and pulled her into a hug hidden by her wings. With a tenderness that was rare to see, Nemesis calmed the woman down, "I'm not mad at any of you, Sumaki. I know you tried. Take me to Mama, so we can make these bastardo's pay." The woman nodded, and led them to the main office. As soon as they saw the state of the room and its occupant there was a collective growl from all three. The room was tossed and the furniture shattered, but the worst part was the woman they called Mama Yaga, looking completely worked over. Normally Mama was a matronly woman with a kind face, but incredibly strong arms she used to comfort her 'children' just as often as she beat up the odd unruly customer. She wasn't overly bulky or thin, but the perfect balance, and it was a long held belief that if she wasn't pushing seventy, even if she still had the youthful appearance of someone in their mid-forties, she'd be a prime candidate for headliner. She also made sure to personally train her bouncers, and with her quirk 'Ursa' she was a tough woman.
At the moment though, her face was awash with bruises, and she had bandages all over, hiding most of the damage. Seeing the trio through a swollen eye Mama let out a long sigh as she spoke with a slight Russian accent, "мне жаль, что мне пришлось беспокоить вас по этому поводу, но боюсь, это выше моих сил. (I'm sorry I had to trouble you over this, but I'm afraid this is beyond me.) Sumaki, you may go. I must speak to the boss, alone."
Once they were alone, Luz ripped off her hood and ran over to hug the woman, "Oh Mama, what have they done to you?" Luz gave the woman a stern look, "Who? Who did this? I'll rip out their organs and feed them to them. Claw out their eyes, and rub salt in the sockets."
Luz's horns and claws started to form and grow, until Mama stopped her with a stern look of her own, "None of that now. Disobedient children don't learn if you put them in the ground."
Izuku growled, "But they do make a good warning to the rest of the class."
Mama sighed, "I don't want them dead. Now, can you calm down? I think we'll stay closed tonight. Mama needs some Carbonadi." The woman smiled at the trio, and raised her fist making the other two snicker.
When they left the office they saw all of the staff give Mama an ashamed look, but she just laughed at all of them in that jubilant way she always did, and they all seemed to relax a bit knowing their matron would be fine. Izuku slipped behind the bar and connected to the security system to determine a list of names to specifically remove, while the girls sat with Mama to drink and get answers.
About an hour later, a familiar spider mutate came rushing into the room and gave Mama a hug with all six of her arms as she bloobered in Thai, "โอ้ที่รัก! ดูคุณสิ! สัตว์เดรัจฉานเหล่านั้นทำอะไรกับหมีหิมะอันล้ำค่าของฉัน? (Oh my love! Look at you! What have those brutes done to my precious snow bear?)"
Mama sighed, "I'm fine, love. They got lucky, but not for long. The bosses are on the job."
Looking around and finally taking notice of their company, the spider woman bowed deeply, "Very sorry. I meant no disrespect."
Luz held up a hand, "Auntie Arach, you're fine. We aren't offended. You love your wife more than life itself. And it's sweet. You two are the second most loving couple I know."
Mama tilted her head, "Second?"
Himiko snickered, "She's talking about me and my boo. If anyone hurt him…" Himiko just started to giggle and her eyes got very distant, but she didn't need to finish. They all got the idea, and Izuku blushed under his mask as he shifted slightly to relieve himself. Why did his minx have to be so hot all the time?
When Izuku finished cleaning up and splicing footage, the trio got told what happened. Apparently a group of Baccus's boys came to cause some mischief. They got handsy with the dancers, ran up a huge bar tab, and were being very rude, so Mama tried to bounce them, but they came prepared with some new drug… Titan. Apparently the stuff made Trigger look like aspirin, and the footage backed up her story. They watched as even the smallest of the guys gained a visible boost in muscle before they started tearing apart everything they could get their hands on until the ringleader got a call and they all left like a pack of beasts.
With a solid idea of where to go, the trio started to head out, but before they left, Luz made sure to leave what amounted to seventy-nine million yen or roughly five hundred thousand dollars for repairs and to put toward making sure everyone was taken care of. The ease with which Luz did it proved too much for either woman and by the time they recovered the trio were already long gone.
The Vineyard was a large multi-story club, and even with it being daylight the club was open and the music blaring. To someone like Izuku it seemed like a loud eye sore, and to Luz it just seemed tacky, honestly who goes clubbing with the sun up, but Himiko seemed to like it. A loud dark room full of potential victims, decent music, and snacks… sounded like fun to her. To draw less attention, the trio staggered entering the club with Luz going first since she had the oddest outfit, but the bouncers just saw a good looking girl in leather and let her through without any issue.
Slowly they each moved about the room taking note of exits, security, and any alarms or counter measures… they knew better than to make any assumptions. Once they were done, they each made one more circuit to place some surprises around, and with a smirk Himiko pulled the fire alarm. Suddenly the music got cut as the crowd rushed out. Tapping a button on Izuku's phone the first set of surprises went off, firecrackers that caused very small fires when the sparks hit the cheap furniture and drapes. As expected, that caused the security staff to rush over to put them out, and in the process triggering surprise two, pressure activated gas capsules that quickly knocked most of them out. Something quickly corrected by the trio descending on them to finish the job. Putting out the rest of the embers was simple enough, and Luz made sure to send each of the bouncers away to a waiting cage. Good help was hard to find, so when in doubt they tried to re-educate over killing if people were just doing their jobs.
Oddly though, none of them had found any trace of the punks who hurt Mama Yaga, so they headed over to the office to get answers. Unsurprisingly they found the overweight balding man of the hour, hiding in a corner like a rabbit. Baccus wasn't really much to look at in his retro lounge lizard jacket and ugly shirt. If he didn't have an arguably useful quirk that allowed him to make cheap wine, and rapidly age alcohol, they were sure nobody would even give him a second look. At his core though, the man was a coward, and they wanted answers.
In no time at all the man was pissing himself in terror and spilling his guts, something made only slightly faster when Nemesis flashed her claws and proceeded to sharpen them on his desk. She found no resistance as they cut through like she was running her hand through water, leaving four perfect finger deep gashes in his fancy Snakewood desk.
Apparently some Yakuza types stopped by and poached some of his staff for a job. He didn't know who they were or where they came from, especially since he thought the old families had died off, but that was all he knew.
Rolling her eyes, Himiko let out an exasperated sigh, "So we're not painting the room red?"
Luz shook her head, "Not yet. This spineless worm isn't our guy."
Himiko started to pout until Izuku whispered something in her ear, and she lit up, "Promise!?" Izuku nodded, and she started to giggle.
With the interrogation done, Luz snapped and sent Baccus tumbling into a shadow to land on top of his bouncers. After that they quickly tossed the room for any documents, finding the ownership papers for the property in a small safe along with his records and laptop. Before leaving they each grabbed a top shelf bottle from behind the bar, and once they were far enough away, Izuku held out his phone with an app open… a big red button on it. Himiko gave him a kiss before pressing the button.
By the time they got home the news was going crazy over the fact a fairly well known club had seemingly just burst into flames out of nowhere. Thankfully it hadn't spread, but it was still heralded as a minor miracle it hadn't, something that made Izuku scoff. As if one of his toys would be so poors designed. He paid extra to make sure he could control that.
When they got home, Himiko and Luz went to see about renovating their new property and claiming the insurance while Izuku disappeared into a dark hidden room with a waiting screen. After ensuring the connection was secure he called his 'team members', and set about giving orders. On the screen were five shadowy figures.
(Shadow 1) Master Nexus, does the darkness have need of me?
(Shadow 4) Ugh, an ass kisser. Pass.
(Shadow 3) Show some respect you bitch, you're in the presence of the future dark King.
(Shadow 2) She is right madam. This is not sparkling.
(Shadow 4) Great two ass kissers and a moron. Hey you, please tell me you're at least fun?
(Shadow 5) I'm just here for the money. What's the job this time Emerald? More heavy transport?
Izuku laughed, his voice heavily altered, "No my friends. I've gathered you here so that you can prepare for your shot at the big time. If you manage to pull off this job you get full access. Until then, we all stay obscured for deniability. Are you ready?"
(Shadow 1) Of course. My life is yours.
(Shadow 2) Oui!
(Shadow 3) Whatever you need is at your disposal.
(Shadow 4) We dance to your tune, boss. What's the job?
(Shadow 5) As long as I get paid… nothing else matters.
Izuku laughed, "The job is simple in concept, but hard to do. You all are going undercover with me into the belly of the beast… Yuuei high school. You each have ten months to train and study for the entrance exam." This caused silence from all of the shadows, so Izuku continued, "Pass and you join me in part two of the plan. Fail, and I'll have to leave you behind. You'll still get a healthy severance, but nothing compared to the rewards you'll receive in the future should you succeed. Power, prestige, and yes more money than you can ever spend. It's all yours for the taking, so my future Yuuei traitors what do you say? Plus Ultra?"
Izuku laughed harshly at the irony, but as one he heard all of the shadows answer, "Plus Ultra."
Before Izuku signed off he added, "As a bonus, if you make it into class 1-A… I'll show you my real face and introduce you personally to my partners. Train hard. I expect great things from all of you." With that Izuku cut the line as he smirked, "Your days are numbered you old fools. Soon this world will know that gods walk among them, and through us shall all things be made joyous again. Let the games begin." Taking a deep breath, Izuku went to join his favorite people. It was pizza night, and they had free top shelf liquor to enjoy with it.
Breakdown: So not really much of a breakdown this chapter. I'm regrettably short on time and energy. My mom had surgery the day I'm editing this, and I'm been hard at work preparing content for everyone to enjoy. I'll try to include a proper breakdown for both chapters next time, but until then. Shine on beautiful readers. Shine on.
