You ever had something that you suddenly remember? Now, how about those what if scenarios that show at night. It's not like I have much to keep me up, except when I start thinking of when I was a kid. The many adventure's with my friends. Then I remember the first time we met.

Both of us started as two kids who didn't have a concept of what it meant to feel attraction. I think it was the first time when we're left alone that I finally felt something strange being around you. I look at you and caught you looking at me the same way, I didn't know what it meant but I told myself it wasn't a bad feeling. I think time made it worse for me because I started wanting to be at your side more. You seem to know something was different in my behavior.

When we were alone is when you looked at me and said. "You been acting weird Tommy. Do you like me?" I couldn't think of the meaning behind those words. "Of course I like you." You looked lost in thought about something, I wasn't sure what to expect as you shook your head. "Not that, more than a friend." More than a friend echo in my mind. I didn't understand what could be more than a friend until you said never mind.

I thought why not ask the one person to help me understand. My dad. He told me while working on new invention. "You're in love Tommy." He kept tinkering until completely stopping. "I knew this day would happen, I just didn't expect this early." After carefully explaining to me what I was feeling, I still wasn't sure what to do. "What do I do Dad." He seem to be thinking, my dad finally gave an answer.

"Maybe take this slow Sport. See how it goes by hanging out with her more. Don't rush as you got long time to understand what you want." I took his advice to heart. I went to Chuckie house and knock on the door. Chuckie dad open and gave me the happiest of smile, allowing me inside. "Hey Tommy, Chuckie is…" I didn't think about what I was about to say. "I'm actually here to see Kimi." His eyes got big as he was use to me only ever asking about Chuckie.

"Let me call her down for you. Kimi! Tommy here to see you." I watch as he went to get her not noticing his change of tone, as I sat down on a chair waiting. Kimi finally showing up, I couldn't understand the expression she gave me, she approach me. "Hey Tommy. What you want?" I didn't know what to say to her as I look at her, her hair untied and down bringing out a new side to her. I look at her and let her know my intentions, not only was she my best friend sister but she's my friend too. "I think I like you Kimi." We both stared at each other now, waiting for one of us to respond.

"Tommy, I'm not sure. I know what you mean." She sat down near me, we both sat in silence for a few minutes . "We can hang out and see where it goes. Just promise me we'll always be friends." I look at her as we both felt like something had already reset our friendship. "I promise." I didn't know what to do, the thought of telling Chuckie sat back in my mind and never left. This didn't feel real to me. As we watch a Reptar movie on television, our distance became closer.

I felt my heart beating faster, I could smell Kimi scent from how close she got. Her smell, a sweet scent. She look at me and turn away, I did the same realizing I've been staring at her for more than a minute. While watching, one part of the movie showing a man and woman getting close, touching lips. Kimi and I both look at each other thinking the same thing. I can't remember what we did, what I remember is her Dad clearing his throat to alert us of his presence.

"I brought popcorn for you kids." I didn't know what to do, we're both blushing as her dad sat down on the couch and began watching the movie with us. I didn't mind as it help ease my awkwardness. "Oh, this is the part where Reptar is fighting against mecha-Reptar. The way the director film this scene. He did this in one shot, he was under pressure at the time." I couldn't help stare at the way Kimi look at me, as I talk about the movie. "Do you ever think about being a filmmaker Tommy? " I didn't tell anyone about that as I wasn't sure about even becoming one, I couldn't see it more than a hobby for me. When I left, Kimi stood outside as I walk next door, she wave at me before going inside.

That night, as I'm laying down in my bed, I look at my ceiling. Replaying the day. Surreal to me that any of this is actually happening in the first place. I closed my eyes to wake up to another day, thinking about everything going on in my life. I just knew tomorrow is going to be a good day.
