Remy wondered if time travel would be worth it. Stop him from calling Logan at all, because he'd accidentally let it slip that Logan would be coming for a while. Now, Jacqueline was too excited to lay back down after lunch, and Vinny was feeling and reacting to her excitement. And with her excitement came levitating items, and with Vinny's excitement came their items changing colors.

Sometimes Remy wished he didn't have kids, but then he sees their bright smiles and hearing their laughs and giggles, and he knew he would always make the same decisions that got him his kids.

Even if he'd been hurt in the process, his kids were his joy now.

"Okay, Jackie, calm down a little, oui?" Remy asked, huffing a breath of laughter as he moved forwards and scooping his daughter up into his arms. He blew a raspberry into Jacqueline's side as she squealed in laughter. Vinny squealed in laughter too, falling back onto his back and kicking his feet into the air.

"Oncle LoLo!"Jacqueline giggled, "Oncle LoLo is 'oming!" Jacqueline giggled as Remy set her back down on the ground. She began to jump in place as she spun in small circles. "Oncle LoLo!" She giggled excitedly.

"Okay, okay, petite" Jacqueline jumped up and down as she spotted the levitating lamp that Remy was trying to avoid breaking. "Can we put everything down, princesse?" He asked. Jacqueline made a face of concentration which was causing everything to begin to settle down. Everything color wise was going to probably be stuck until Remy had the energy to try to fix them, but there was a long list of things that Remy had to do leading up to that.

"Dance time!" Jacqueline suddenly squealed, pointing at the clock excitedly. There was a wave of exhaustion as Remy turned and saw that it was in fact time to take Jacqueline to dance.

"Oui, go get your shoes." Remy told her, smiling as he sent quiet waves of calm to Vinny, who was still giggling quietly. Jacqueline turned and ran towards her room where she kept her dancing shoes as Remy grabbed her jacket from the doorway. He grabbed ten dollars from his own jacket and slipped it into her jacket for after dance, or for during her break where she'll want to go to the candy shop to get some twizzlers or gushers. He hummed as Jacqueline came running back out, he was about to say something when he noticed the fear seeping off of her.

For a moment, it felt like her fear had wrapped around his throat and tightened before it seemingly disappeared.

"Jackie?" She stumbled up to him, wrapping her arms around his leg as she trembled against him. "Petite?" He asked, moving and crouching down to her height. "Princesse? Talk to me." He murmured as she moved to hide against his chest. He wrapped his arms around her, confusion passing through as she started to cry. "Jacqueline."

"'an in 'y 'indow." Jacqueline whimpered, her voice wavering as she started to truly cry. Remy picked her up, moving towards the living room and finding Vinny with tears in his eyes. He scooped his son up. He made sure that he had both of them before he grabbed his jacket, which held his wallet, keys, and his phone, and turned and walked out of the apartment.

He set Jacqueline down, passing her Vinny, who was looking around in confusion, and locking the door behind him. Anything that got stolen, if anything at all, could be replaced. He turned, letting Jacqueline pass him Vinny while he passed her her jacket. He pulled his jacket on while Vinny sat in front of him.

He was quick to scoop both up afterwards, turning and walking as quickly as he could towards the elevator. Jacqueline was hiding her face against his shoulder and Vinny was shaking her shoulder. Remy wouldn't ever pretend to understand his children's connection, but he could feel that there was a strong one.

He really wished he did a little research before leaving her.

He forced himself to relax as he hit the button for the ground floor, humming a small tune as Vinny rested his head against Remy's other shoulder. Jacqueline had moved and was holding Vinny's hand, trying her best to hum along with Remy.

"Dance?" Jacqueline asked after Remy got off the elevator, nodding his head in greeting when he spotted a neighbor. He walked towards the door, smiling in thanks as someone held it open for him.

"Yeah, dance time." Remy assured her, kissing her forehead, and forcing himself to become more aware. Jacqueline saw someone at her window, and Remy would be damned if he let her continue to be scared.

He would be damned to miss someone sneaking around his home.

LeBeau: Dance ends at 4:30. She normally waits at the Candy Shop. Her instructor walks her over. You sure you want to pick her up?

Claws: Yes Gumbo, Kevin and I are gonna pick her up, introduce her to Charlie. Candy Shop any good?

LeBeau: Yeah, pretty good. Owner's a Vampire, I think.

Claws: They are all about fair trade. We'll be back at the apartment when you're done.

LeBeau: Key, and Vinny, will be with Jackie.

Gambit had contacts that were deep in the underground. It had been a long, long time since he'd reached out to them. Several had thought that Gambit had died and had needed proof before any favors could be called in. So now Gambit was making his way, four towns from where he lived, to meet with three contacts that could help him track anyone.

He sighed lightly, ducking behind a semi truck in the parking lot, eyes darting around for who he knew to spot. He was annoyed that they were doing this in the middle of the day, but his daughter's favorite blanket was missing, and he knew that certain species and supernaturals could track with just scent or signature imprint.

"My… my…" Gambit turned, slowly, and found his contact. "You know, I didn't think anyone would see you again, Gambit." There was a chuckle and Gambit fought off a scowl. Instead he smirked, turning fully and leaning against the semi truck.

"You thought I was dead." Gambit stated. Quicksilver chuckled lightly as he appeared in front Gambit.

"After her? Yeah, most of us did."

"I need a favor."

"You always do, Gambit. But I require… payment." There was a smirk on his face as he reached forward with one hand, gently brushing the bit of hair visible back past Gambit's shoulder. Gambit returned the smirk, leaning into Quicksilver's gesture. This… This was familiar, which was probably for the best. Gambit worked best with familiarity. "Just this time."

"I ain't asking." Logan told him when he walked in, nose sniffling and proceeding to scrunch in disgust. Remy only sighed, nodding as he cracked his neck. "Something happened though." Remy went to ask him what had happened as concern flashed through, tying into Logan's easily, but an excited squeal cut him off from asking.

"Papa!" Remy's eyes widened as panic coursed through him. Logan waved him back towards his room, which Remy was quick to do. He needed to change, and a long shower, before he even thought about giving his daughter a hug.

Remy owed Logan a hell of a lot after this.
