Chapter 40: The last Light of Hope

Koushiro: "Arkadimon… Ultra."

Taichi: "Ultra..? That's the same level as..."

Koushiro: "Millennuimon... and even Negamon..."

Arkadimon sent its tentacles down, crushing through the land. Many fighters were helping out. Noir was flying around Arkadimon's head, trying to damage him. Rebellimon was weaving through the tentacles and trying to cut them. Leomon was slashing through the tentacles and grabbing small Digimon, trying to get them away from the destruction.

Taichi grit his teeth and clenched his fists.

Taichi: "WarGreymon!"

WarGreymon quickly ascended, stopping far above Arkadimon.

Yamato: "Taichi!"

WarGreymon raised his arms up, gathering energy.

Taichi: "Not enough! Keep going!"

Small lights began to come from everyone around. The Digidestined gasped.

Sora: "It's just like before!"

Mimi: "The small Lights…"

The fighters looked up.

Leomon: "Hmph, looks like you're doing it again, Digidestined. You have our full support!"

In the Human World

Everyone was looking to the sky, seeing holes once again.

Some looked at their devices, seeing a faint video playing. The video showed Arkadimon with a large ball of energy in front of him. He seemed to be looking at it.

Taichi looked up at the energy.

Taichi: "This… it isn't just the Digital World…"

WarGreymon: "Right! Let's do this, Taichi!"

Taichi/WarGreymon: "Gaia Force!"

Arkadimon began to sway slightly. Hikari and Ophanimon gasped. They didn't know why, but they had a bad feeling. Hikari brought her Digivice up.

Light: "Onii-Chan! Get out of there!"

Ophanimon: "WarGreymon, run!"

Taichi and WarGreymon looked to each other with confused faces but took the warnings to heart. WarGreymon quickly flew away.

As the Gaia force was about to hit, Arkadimon cried out and a large attack surrounded the Gaia force. Strong winds flew around. All the combatants had to shield their eyes. As the winds died down, Arkadimon gave a victorious roar.

The Digidestined all opened their eyes and were shocked. The Gaia force had disappeared. WarGreymon flew back to them.

Taichi: "No way…"

Yamato: "He nullified it… just like that..?"

Koushiro looked down to his tablet.

Koushiro: "No… he… absorbed it…"

Daisuke: "You're telling me he got stronger from that?!"

Koushiro: "I'm afraid so…"

Sora: "If that didn't work…"

Takeru: "Then we have no choice."

Taichi: "Right. Don't hold back. Hit him with everything you have! Yamato, with me!"

Yamato: "Got it!"

WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon charged forward, fusing into Omegamon. His sword unsheathed and he swung it at the tentacles that were being shot towards him. The sword cut through easily, but it seemed that Arkadimon was regenerating the tentacles.

The rest of the Digidestined rushed forward as well, all doing their best to land attacks on Arkadimon.

Arkadimon continued to effortlessly defend against the Digidestined. Omegamon caught Noir as he was thrown back.

Omegamon: "You ok?"

Noir: "Tch, worry about yourself. This monster is in a league of its own."

Taichi: "Doesn't matter, we will all work together to take this thing down!"

Noir: "I recommend removing your partners. Then you can fight with no restrictions."

Noir charged forward, slashing through the tentacles, and shooting multiple blasts towards Arkadimon.

Yamato: "We have our shields, so we will be fine if our Digimon fight without us. We will still be safe."

Taichi: "Alright then."

Taichi and Yamato brought their Digivices up.

Courage: "Everyone!"

Friendship: "Go to that cliff and get off your partners."

Hope: "Got it!"

The Digimon quickly went over to a cliff-side and the Digidestined got off their partners. The Digimon quickly rushed back into the battle.

Miyako: "Can they do it?"

Taichi: "Of course, we need to have some faith in our partners."

Arkadimon started to move his tentacles around rapidly, trying to trap the Digimon. The Digimon tried to weave through them but to no avail. Almost all of them were trapped, except Hououmon.

Hououmon flew up high and curled her wings in. Tentacles flew towards her. Just as they were about to grab her, flames burst from Hououmon.

Hououmon: "Starlight Explosion!"

Flames burst from Hououmon and hit all the tentacles around her and the other Digimon, burning all of the tentacles. However, it left Hououmon looking exhausted. Hououmon quickly flew back to the Digidestined and ended up reverting to Piyomon.

Piyomon: "Sorry, Sora… I used up all my power for that..."

Sora: "It's fine, Piyomon. You did your best. Rest up for a bit, then we can join the battle again when you're better."

Taichi looked at Sora and Piyomon.

"Not good. We just started the fight and we already have one down. At least it's just an energy problem and not an injury."

Arkadimon's tentacles started to form together, starting to look like a spear. He tried to pierce the Digimon. All the Digimon dodged it, while Vikemon and Rosemon stood together.

Vikemon: "Arctic Blizzard!"

The attack froze the tentacles in place.

Rosemon: "Rose Rapier!"

Rosemon quickly swung her vines and cut through the frozen tentacles.

Rosemon and Vikemon nodded to each other and separated, continuing to try and hit Arkadimon.

HerakleKabuterimon grabbed some of the tentacles and gathered them together. Metallicdramon quickly dashed through them, cutting them instantly. Arkadimon was open for attacks while he was regenerating.

HerakleKabuterimon: "Giga Blaster!"

Metallicdramon: "Laser Cannon!"

Metallicdramon had reduced the power of his attack, so as to not blind his allies. The two attacks hit Arkadimon but did not result in any visible damage.

Arkadimon sent his tentacles around Omegamon, trapping him in an orb of tentacles. A faint light came from between the tentacles. Slashes came from inside, and the tentacles were cut, revealing Omegamon with two swords. He quickly changed them into cannons and fired at all the tentacles coming his way. He started to back away as the tentacles gained on him.

Arkadimon's tentacles also surrounded Seraphimon and Ophanimon. Almost immediately, the tentacles were cut open, with faint silhouettes of DoneDevimon and DarkKnightmon.

The Digimon were all doing their best, but they were barely denting Arkadimon. His tentacles kept on regenerating while his body was barely taking damage.

Omegamon flew back, his arms back to normal. He was using his cannon to blast the tentacles, while using his sword to slice any that got too close.

Omegamon stopped backing off, as he realized he was close to the Digidestined. Arkadimon roared, causing all to stop attacking.

Snap

Before anyone could even react, Omegamon had been pierced.

Yamato: "Omegamon!"

Taichi: "What was that?!"

Omegamon tried to get up, managing to stand, however he was clearly not in a condition to fight. His arms had fallen off.

Imperialdramon saw what had happened and turned to Arkadimon.

Imperialdramon: "How dare you!"

Imperialdramon flew up and prepared his attack.

Imperialdramon: "Giga Death!"

The attack struck Arkadimon's head, causing a large cloud of smoke. Suddenly, Arkadimon's tentacles sprung forth, piercing Imperialdramon as well.

Ken: "Imperialdramon!"

Daisuke: "Shit!"

Taichi and Yamato looked at Omegamon before looking to each other. They both nodded.

Omegamon began to glow, with his arms rising up, glowing as well.

Omegamon reverted to Agumon and Gabumon as a sword formed in his place.

The sword went towards Imperialdramon.

The Digidestined looked shocked.

Daisuke: "What is that?"

Taichi: "The last hope for our Digimon to keep fighting."

Yamato: "Let Imperialdramon use it. At least that way, Omegamon's power won't go to waste."

Ken: "Taichi… Yamato… we won't let it go to waste!"

Daisuke: "Imperialdramon! Grab it! It has Omegamon's power within it!"

Imperialdramon was just barely able to hear his partners and weakly grabbed the sword. Power surged through him as the tentacles piercing him were instantly destroyed.

Imperialdramon had evolved into Paladin Mode.

Imperialdramon rushed down, slashing through the tentacles.

Imperialdramon: "Splendor Blade!"

A blade of Light formed in Imperialdramon's other hand and he rapidly slashed through the tentacles.

Taichi: "Nice!"

Koushiro: "Imperialdramon Paladin Mode. He is an Ultra as well…"

Yamato: "So we stand a chance now?"

Koushiro: "Not necessarily. Omegamon and Noir are both Ultras as well."

Taichi: "So we might still lose, huh?"

Taichi and Yamato looked to the battlefield, seeing Vikemon and Rosemon starting to retreat towards the Digidestined.

Taichi and Yamato turned to their partners.

Taichi: "How you doing, Agumon? You think you can still fight?"

Yamato: "Can you keep going, Gabumon?"

Agumon: "I'll do my best, Taichi!"

Gabumon: "For you, Yamato, I will keep fighting!"

Agumon and Gabumon evolved but they were only able to evolve to ultimate.

Taichi: "You don't have enough energy to go Mega?"

MetalGreymon: "Sorry, but this is the best we can do."

Yamato: "That's not a problem, we have other means."

Taichi and Yamato gave a grin to each other. Taichi clenched his Digivice as it turned red, while Yamato brought his phone out.

"MetalGreymon Mega-Evolution! BlitzGreymon!"

"WereGarurumon Mega-Evolution! CresGarurumon!"

Taichi: "You got this, BlitzGreymon!"

Yamato: "Give him hell, CresGarurumon!"

The duo rushed in as Rosemon and Vikemon returned and reverted.

Palmon: "Sorry, Mimi. It's been too long since we've had a proper fight. We don't have the endurance like the rest."

Mimi: "It's alright, Palmon. You did your best."

Joe: "Same to you, Gomamon."

Sora: "Sorry, Piyomon exhausted all of her energy just now."

Koushiro: "Don't worry about it, Sora. If Hououmon hadn't destroyed all those tentacles, we would have been in a much worse situation right now."

CresGarurumon and BlitzGreymon rushed forward. BlitzGreymon slammed into the tentacles that were behind Ophanimon, while CresGarurumon slashed the ones behind Seraphimon.

Seraphimon: "CresGarurumon?"

Ophanimon: "BlitzGreymon? Will you two be ok?"

Seraphimon: "Both of you took a pretty bad hit as Omegamon."

BlitzGreymon: "We'll be ok."

CresGarurumon: "We're going to need as much firepower as possible to defeat this guy."

Noir came from behind, slashing and blasting any of the tentacles around them.

Noir: "Stop talking, focus and start getting serious. Fuse already!"

BlitzGreymon: "Fuse?"

Noir: "Are you stupid? Fuse into Alter-S already! I'll buy you time. Get to your partners and fuse!"

Noir rushed forward, continuing to slash through more tentacles.

BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon rushed back to their partners.

BlitzGreymon: "Noir said the two of us can fuse into Alter-S."

Koushiro gasped.

Koushiro: "Why didn't I think of that? I'm so stupid! Omegamon Alter-S literally has BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon as his hands instead of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon!"

Taichi: "Then…"

Yamato: "Let's do this, Taichi!"

Taichi and Yamato brought their Digivices together, and they glowed as BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon began to glow as well. BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon fused into Omegamon Alter-S.

Omegamon Alter-S: "Hmm… I didn't think we would be able to fuse again with such little power."

Taichi and Yamato had started to look a little winded.

Taichi: "Go get him, Omegamon!"

Yamato: "You got this."

Omegamon Alter-S rushed back into the battle, slashing through the tentacles that were creeping up behind Noir.

Noir: "Tch, took you long enough."

The duo brought their cannons in front of them, immobilising the tentacles. They swung their swords, stars flying forth and cutting through the tentacles.

Noir rushed off towards Imperialdramon and covered him. Imperialdramon was doing good, using his two blades to continuously cut through the tentacles.

Omegamon Alter-S rushed towards Seraphimon and Ophanimon. The Digimon were not making good progress. Despite Imperialdramon's power-up, they were unable to leave a dent on Arkadimon, and they were all getting tired. HerakleKabuterimon and Metallicdramon already had to retreat due to low energy.

Only Imperialdramon, the two Omegamons, Seraphimon and Ophanimon were left.

Omegamon Alter-S did his best with Seraphimon and Ophanimon, but Seraphimon and Ophanimon were surrounded by the tentacles again. After a short pause, the tentacles burst. Seraphimon and Ophanimon were both winded after bringing out DoneDevimon and DarkKnightmon again.

Arkadimon took advantage of this, and his tentacles shot forth, slamming into both of them. The duo was sent flying towards the Digidestined. They crashed into the cliff-side just below the Digidestined.

Daisuke: "Even with Imperialdramon's power-up…"

Ken: "We still aren't making any head-way."

Taichi: "It's like this guy is invincible!"

Koushiro: "And we are just getting weaker as the fight goes on."

Yamato: "Surely even this thing gets tired too, right? We have to be making progress, even if we can't see it."

Takeru and Hikari were further away from the group, panting. They looked to each other.

Takeru: "If only we had more power…"

Hikari: "Yeah… if we could achieve Goddramon and Holydramon again… we might be able to damage it…"

Takeru: "Even if we could… do we have enough energy for it?"

Hikari: "It doesn't matter… does it?"

Takeru: "We may die trying… Hika… you know that, right?"

Hikari: "I… don't have complaints… neither do you… right?"

Takeru: "Then… one last push… one last try… together."

Hikari: "Even if we don't know… how to reach those forms… we still have to try."

Takeru and Hikari intertwined their hands and went to the edge of the cliff, seeing Seraphimon and Ophanimon pulling themselves out of it.

Takeru and Hikari pointed their Digivices at their Digimon.

The group started to realise what had happened.

Taichi: "Hikari?"

Yamato: "Takeru?"

Takeru: "We only… have one last chance."

Hikari: "Even if we must… give up everything."

Taichi: "Hikari! Takeru!"

Yamato: "Don't do this!"

Takeru: "Sorry, Onii-Chan… Taichi…"

Hikari: "We're willing to do this."

Taichi and Yamato tried to run towards them and grab them, but Takeru and Hikari's Digivices glowed brilliantly, causing everyone to shield their eyes. Seraphimon and Ophanimon started to rise. The Digimentals from Takeru and Hikari's phones flew out as well. The two Digimon and Digimentals flew up above the Digidestined, shining brilliantly. All fighters stopped fighting, and even Arkadimon stopped moving his tentacles.

"Seraphimon! Ophanimon! Armor-Jogress Evolution!"

The duo merged into one being. Six sets of wings. The top three being Seraphimon's, the bottom three being Ophanimon's. Their left arm, a shield in the shape of the crest of Light. Their right arm, spiked shoulders, and a robe flowing down, making its arm look like the crest of Hope. Armor like Seraphimon's, with leggings like Ophanimon's. On their helmet, was the crest of Faith.

Takeru and Hikari both felt triumphant. They looked to each other with pride. They saw that their eyes were tinted with the colour of their crests. Takeru's eyes were still the same sky blue, yet had a tint of yellow in them, while Hikari's eyes were pink in colour. They could sense that the other was feeling the same. They also felt the other's pulse. Or rather, it didn't feel like another pulse. It felt perfectly synced. It felt like one stronger pulse than before. They almost didn't realise it.

The Digimon looked up facing Arkadimon. Arkadimon roared at them, causing all combatants to flinch and back away. The new Digimon didn't move.

"Shinraimon."

The voice of the Digimon was not a scream, nor was it loud. Yet everyone could hear it loud and clear.

Takeru: "Shin…"

Hikari: "Raimon…"

Taichi: "Ophanimon…"

Yamato: "And Seraphimon…"

Koushiro: "They Jogressed…"

Arkadimon roared and his tentacles rushed forward, surrounding Shinraimon. Shinraimon remained unmoving and merely watched as the large mass of tentacles surrounded them.

A burst of Light shone from within the tentacles. The tentacles were blown away as a silhouette of DoneDevimon appeared.

Arkadimon roared and sent his other arm of tentacles towards Shinraimon. Shinraimon brought their shield arm forward. The tentacles hit the shield, but it was to no avail. The spikes on the shield closed in, clamping on the tentacles. A silhouette of DarkKnightmon appeared beside the tentacles. He brought down his lance, cutting through the tentacles with ease.

The Digidestined looked on in surprise, while Takeru and Hikari had small grins.

"This way, we may stand a chance! Although… it doesn't feel like Shinraimon is absorbing power from us."

Hikari turned to Takeru confused.

Hikari: "Did you say something, Takeru?"

"Did I say that outloud?"

Takeru: "No… I don't think so…"

Hikari looked confused for a moment.

"Did I hear his thoughts?"

Takeru had a surprised look on his face.

"Can you hear this, Hika?"

"Huh?"

"We can hear each other's thoughts… I think?"

"That… that doesn't make sense, Keru… but its happening right now so…"

"Then again… the Digital World didn't always make sense, right Hika?"

"I guess… but… this is crazy… did Daisuke and the others feel like this as well..?"

Takeru and Hikari turned back to the battle, surprised by the sudden discovery but pleased with it nonetheless. The two of them could only trust each other with access to any of their memories anyways.

Arkadimon roared as his tentacles began to regenerate. Shinraimon brought his robed arm forward, revealing a sword. Shinraimon rushed forward and weaved through the tentacles, reaching Arkadimon's main body. Shinraimon began to swing its sword slashing at Arkadimon. Shinraimon began to ascend, slashing Arkadimon. As Shinraimon reached Arkadimon's head, Shinraimon slashed down.

Arkadimon cried out in pain but didn't seem to be taking any visual damage. Shinraimon backed off.

"It is as we feared. Seems like we have only one option remaining. Sorry, Takeru, Hikari."

Arkadimon began to sway. Hikari gasped.

Hikari: "Shinraimon! Get away!"

Shinraimon merely turned around, facing the Digidestined.

Shinraimon: "Takeru, Hikari. Sorry."

Shinraimon began to glow slightly before a large mass of energy consumed Shinraimon. As the energy dissipated, Shinraimon wasn't there anymore.

Takeru and Hikari's eyes went blank and they fell to their knees.

"Shinraimon… Seraphimon… Patamon… You… please don't leave me…"

"Shinraimon… Ophanimon… Tailmon… Why…"

The Digidestined stood there shocked…

Koushiro: "Our last Hope… the Holy Digimon… no… Patamon and Tailmon… why…"

Taichi and Yamato went to their siblings and held them tight. Taichi's eyes were full of rage.

Taichi: "Omegamon! Destroy him! Kill him! Make him pay!"

The rest of the combatants quickly recovered from their shock and rushed forward, continuing their assault on Arkadimon.

Takeru and Hikari stared blankly ahead, emotions overwhelming them too much to say anything. Only their thoughts filled their heads.

Takeru: "Why… Patamon… not again…"

Hikari: "Tailmon… I… I need… to comfort Takeru… he's taking this worse than me…"

Takeru: "Hikari… why do you worry about me… when you aren't fine yourself…"

Hikari: "I… Takeru… I can feel your pain…"

Takeru: "Hikari…"

Hikari: "This pain… it's…"

Takeru: "We're feeling each other's pain as well…"

Hikari: "It's too much… it's overwhelming…"

Takeru and Hikari tried their best to wriggle out of their brothers' grasp. They slowly inched towards each other and hugged each other. Tears began to flow from their eyes. Taichi let go of Hikari, letting her move to Takeru. Yamato was a bit reluctant at first but soon let go. The two stayed by their siblings' side.

"Yamato… they need each other… more than anything right now…"

"Taichi… you know they need each other, huh? It's easier for me because Takeru and I aren't as close as you and Hikari… I'm surprised you're willing to let her go like that… no… it's because you understand her so much that you are willing to do that… I wish I could be that close to Takeru…"

The fight raged on, the Digidestined barely making any progress. They had lost too much firepower over the losing battle. They had already lost five fighters, and they just lost Seraphimon and Ophanimon. They clearly didn't have enough fighters left.

Koushiro: "Tentomon… can you fight?"

Sora: "Piyomon… we need to do our best…"

Joe: "Gomamon… do you have enough energy to evolve?"

Mimi: "Palmon… can we do anything?"

The Digimon nodded and did their best to evolve but could only evolve once, with the exception of Piyomon who could evolve to Garudamon.

Kabuterimon: "We don't have much power left."

Ikkakumon: "But, we won't give up!"

Togemon: "We have to fight… so we will do our best!"

Garudamon: "I'll do my best for you, Sora!"

The four rushed forward and threw attacks, knowing it would do little damage, yet they still tried.

Miyako and Iori looked to each other.

Miyako: "We have to fight too."

Iori: "After all, we still have Jogress!"

Armadimon and Hawkmon evolved and jogressed into Jazarichmon. They rushed back into the battle, attempting to help. The battle started to look grim, with Noir starting to slow down. Omegamon Alter-S did his best to cover up for Noir. Imperialdramon did his best to protect the lower leveled Digimon.

At this point, all the other Digimon from the Digital World had been trying to save lower level Digimon. Rebellimon and Leomon knew they wouldn't have a chance and had been doing their best to reduce casualties.

Leomon: "Digidestined…"

Rebeliimon grunted and started to get himself ready.

Leomon grabbed him.

Leomon: "Don't. If we go, we will just be a burden for the Digidestined. We can't have them looking out for us on top of themselves. For now, all we can do is believe in them."

Rebellimon grunted but stayed put, watching from afar as the Digidestined continued to fight their hardest. Omegamon and Noir rushed in together.

Armadimon roared and tentacles flew towards them. They did their best to slash through but eventually, the tentacles managed to wrap around their swords, leaving them unable to free themselves. They pointed their cannons at Arkadimon and rapidly fired.

Imperialdramon quickly flew over to them and slashed through the tentacles. Omegamon and Noir gave a quick thanks to Imperialdramon before rushing forward again.

Omegamon and Noir pointed their cannons forward. They shot straight at Arkadimon, while using their swords to slash any tentacles that got near them. However, the tentacles started to overwhelm them, wrapping around their cannon. They tried to slash the tentacles off, but they couldn't. Omegamon's eyes sharpened before slashing at his cannon arm. He quickly flew over to Noir who was shocked at the action.

Noir: "Are you stupid?"

Omegamon Alter-S: "No, just taking a risk."

Omegamon slashed through the tentacles wrapped around Noir's cannon. Noir nodded.

Noir: "Go! I'll cover you!"

Omegamon rushed forward, with Noir right behind him, blasting at any tentacles in front of them. Omegamon and Noir both slashed through any stray tentacles that got to them. Imperialdramon saw what they were doing and tried his best to get to them and help. The other Digimon also did their best, even if their attacks had little effect on the tentacles.

Omegamon and Noir managed to reach Arkadimon's head thanks to everyone's efforts. They both slashed down with all their might, hitting Arkadimon's head. Or rather, so they thought.

It seemed they had hit a barrier around Arkadimon instead.

Noir: "Shit. Take this!"

Noir brought his cannon forward and began to rapidly shoot at Arkadimon, creating a large cloud of smoke, enveloping both him and Omegamon. After a short while, the smoke dissipated, revealing Omegamon and Noir struggling to break free of multiple tentacles that had wrapped around them.

Imperialdramon tried to get to them but couldn't.

The Digidestined watched on in anger and desperation. Taichi slammed his fist into the ground.

Taichi: "Dammit! What do we do?!"

Arkadimon roared but it didn't seem to be a victorious roar like before. This roar sounded like it was in pain. Arkadimon started to move weirdly.

Darkness was everywhere. The only form of light was a lone figure with two glowing Digimentals next to them.

"It seems it works. Good thing these Digimentals protected us from being absorbed. We have to thank Koushiro for finding out that attack absorbed if we get out of this. Now we just need to find his weak point inside."

Shinraimon began to fly around as fast as possible, trying to find a weak point within Arkadimon.

Soon, they found a glowing ball.

"This must be it."

Shinraimon drew his sword and began to slash at it but it didn't do anything. It seemed as if there was a barrier protecting it.

"Come on... we need to be quick about this."

Shinraimon flew back a bit before charging forward. They slashed down with all their might. They managed to break the barrier, but their sword broke off in the process. They used their momentum to slam into the Digicore. Their shield clamped down on it. It seemed like it did damage as they could feel shaking around them, almost as if Arkadimon was in pain.

"Despite how offense this shield can be... we can't break it without our sword... looks like we have no other choice. We're so sorry, Takeru, Hikari. We wish it didn't come to this."

Shinraimon began to charge energy.

Shinraimon: "Goodbye, Takeru, Hikari, everyone..."

Shinraimon began to glow as they brought themself as close to Arkadimon's Digicore as possible.

Shinraimon: "Final Halo!"

Arkadimon was moving weirdly, it roared and seemed to be writhing in pain, almost as if something was hitting it from inside.

Taichi: "What's happening to it?"

Koushiro: "It looks as if something is attacking it from inside…"

"Goodbye, Takeru, Hikari, everyone."

Takeru and Hikari looked up.

Takeru/Hikari: "Shinraimon…"

"Final Halo!"

Arkadimon roared in pain as light began to burst from him. The Digidestined all stood up, with Takeru and Hikari trying to reach out.

Takeru/Hikari: "Patamon/Tailmon! Don't!"

In an instant, Arkadimon burst into data, leaving nothing behind. There was only silence in the Digital World. Soon, the only sound that came were the screams of anguish that came from Takeru and Hikari.

In the Human World, cheers went off, and in some places, fireworks went off. One single cheer came from some Humans, as the clocks ticked to the next hour.

Shinraimon is an original Digimon. It doesn't exist officially. It's name came from me trying to figure out how to translate Faith into Japanese. If you type 'Shinrai' into google translate, it translates into trust. Which is basically what I'm going for since I would say the trait of Faith for the Digidestined would be their constant trust in one another and their partners.
