Navy left the group to be held at the mercy of the guards, who promptly tossed the poor kids into the room like ragdolls.

King wasted no time glaring them down. "You'll be lucky if Purple spares your lives."

"You'll be lucky if Purple even comes to save your lives." The guard bit back harshly.

King glared back at him. Come on, Purple. You've got this.

Navy turned to the group

"Well, well, well. If it isn't my murder overseers." Navy said, shooting the kids a sweet smile that was met with hardened stares.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the attempted murderer." Green shot back.

Navy snarled. "Quiet, boy."

"Aww, what's the matter? Not fun to eat your own words, is it?" Green snapped back.

"Green, chill." Second whispered.

"Yeah. Our lives are at stake here." Blue added.

"Well, it's true. He almost blew Purple's brains out!"

"Hey, be lucky he didn't!"

"Quiet!" King snapped.

"If your child accomplice is done insulting me and my actions," Navy said, giving Green a glare he happily returned. "I am going to continue."

"Yes, please do," Dark said. "What'd you do with the portal home?! It fucking sucks here, and I'm sure a lot of people here would like to go home!"

"Oh, I'm sure you would've found it if you hadn't let my son distract you." Navy said nonchalantly.

"You know damn well Purple was the entire reason we came here in the first place!" Chosen shouted. "Wasn't that your entire reason for attempting to rip a bullet through the poor kids head?!"

"One less problem to deal with."

"He's a child!" Yellow shouted. "And as a matter of fact, your child!"

"When your wife is mysteriously impregnated, I'm sure even you could question if the boy you abandoned is yours."

"Funny story, Navy." Purple's unusually cheerful voice filled the space behind them. An energy ball sat calmly in his hand.

"I was just about to clear that up."

Within a second, the energy ball was flying at Navy. Navy, the experienced fighter he was, dodged it with ease, escaping into the rafters.

"Purple!" Green ran to him. "That was cool!"

"I've done cooler, and everyone in this room knows it. Is everyone alright?"

King joined the duo. "Gold led the others to another part of the castle to take care of the others, and so far as we know, they're all unharmed. Are you okay?"

"Aside from almost getting my skull blasted to bits and my life ending, I'm fine."

"We say it like that's a bad thing. But moving forward, you should've said you had a twin sister!" Green shouted, shaking Purple's shoulders.

"I have a what now?"

"You didn't know either?" King asked.

"Okay, first of all, someone give me a full recap of whatever the fuck I missed. Second of all, when the hell did I twin sister? Or even a sibling in general?!"

King watched Purple's eyes widen. "Holy shit."

"What? What is it?!"

"I think I know where the sister came from." Purple said, an evil smirk crossing his face.

Pushing past the two, King shared a glance with the teenager next to him.

"Should I be concerned?" He asked.

"Most likely." Was Green's response.

Navy stepped back in front of his throne, watching the small boy in front of him intently. Purple was already forming a plan in his mind, he just had to make sure it worked.

Following his previous discovery in the library, Purple knew exactly what would be Navy's downfall. Especially after he killed Night Shade, the only one keeping them alive.

And so long as their plan went in their favor, Purple's discovery would be the crack in Navy's plan, and the seal to their victory.

Purple is mere seconds from giving up and throwing the book across the dusty room, but finds himself unable to do so. Something tells him that there's something at the end, and it could turn the odds in their favor.

"Come on, come on...gotcha!" He finally finds something of use. A photo. Him, Navy, Orchid, and Night Shade.

He doesn't remember Night Shade and Orchid being so close, but now he's rethinking that.

Navy's hands wrapped around his shoulders in a way that gives him chills, and Night Shade's arm around Orchid's waist.

What the hell?

He can vividly remember the day this photo was taken. Vividly. Orchid had been supposedly pregnant, and Navy had been acting incredibly weird over it.

He didn't seem too sure about it. He seemed to implying things Purple didn't understand then, but knew them now.

He'd also cut Purple some slack, he remembered.

But looking at Night Shade's arm placement...

Wait.

He remembered Orchid mentioning how the baby had died at some point after it was supposed to be born, and Night Shade was acting incredibly exhausted for a couple of years after that.

Wait a minute...

"Was Orchid having an affair?"

"Oh, fuck," Navy said vehemently. "It's you. And I was just going to explain how you still got yourself killed after Night Shade saved your ass."

"Oh, that's funny," Purple said calmly. King and the others shared nervous glances. "I was just about to explain how Night Shade was fucking your wife."

The sticks behind him melted into chaos.

"HOLD UP HE WAS WHAT?!"

"HAH! TAKE THAT!"

"DESERVED!"

"Okay, where does the sister come into this?"

"Oh, and I'm not finished yet!" Purple continued, ignoring Navy's look of genuine shock. Got him. "See, Night Shade and Navy are actually brothers, and Orchid got pregnant thanks to Night Shade! So that sister you were talking about, King? That came out of that affair!"

Green continued to laugh.

"So, basically, Orchid cheated on Navy, and birthed a child with his brother?" King asked.

"Exactly."

"HAH! DESERVED! TAKE THAT, NAVY!" Green shouted at him before dissolving into more laughter.

"But-" Navy was at a loss for words for once. Purple smirked.

"Yeah. Your miscarriage plan couldn't work forever. And since you were documenting literally every single aspect of our lives, which is sitting in the library you know damn well I have access to, you would know I would have figured out that your brother was fucking your wife AND birthed a child out of it and then proceeded to cover it up. Nice work on birthing a son that figured out every single one of your plans?"

"WHAT?! HOW?!"

"How do you think I figured out Night Shade was the key to keeping you and Orchid alive?"

Purple had gotten used to being confined in places for long periods of time, so breaking into the castle was as easy as the breakout with Dark he had led just a few months prior.

If not easier.

Jumping through the library window, Purple quickly scanned for anyone that could pose a threat and ran into an aisle.

He'd kept himself busy during the time waiting for a rescue by spending most of his time in the library, reading books on the history of the other realm he'd been stuck in, among other things he found to catch his interest.

He'd read most of the books in the library, except for a few that had caught his interest, but hadn't been able to read following his reunion with Willow, and everything else that had gone down recently.

Now was his chance, since they seemed very suspicious.

Something glowed around it, and he wanted to know what was inside.

Grabbing the first book, something opened it, causing a burst of light and a memory to appear.

"What the hell?"

Memories flashed by in a blur, but Purple was quickly able to distinguish many of them.

Moments from the past battles him and his allies had been in with Navy.

"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST ADMIT DEFEAT!?"

"I won't stop fighting you until you free Purple from whatever you've put him under!"

"Why do you care so much about some dumb stick, anyway? He's a worthless piece of trash!"

"Because, unlike you, I actually love him for who he is. Just cause he can't fight, or sought comfort in people, or cried because you hurt him doesn't mean he's worthless. It means that he didn't have the love and care that he deserved! You pushed him to the point he was at when I finally met him! He was, and is, just a kid! It's not his fault you abandoned him and your wife. It's your own, so I see no point in you wanting to come back into Purple's life when he has me, and Green, and everyone else down there to love and care for him!"

"He could've just fought harder!"

"I'm sorry, Purple..."

"For what?"

"I ignored finding family after I lost my son and fell into a blind rage. I completely overlooked what I found along the way."

"What...what do you mean?"

"...I found you. And I completely missed the family along the way."

"What family?"

"You, Purple. I found family in you. I'm so sorry for never realizing that."

"It's okay...I'm here now."

"Did-did he truly care?"

"Figured you would've realized that earlier."

"I-I don't understand. We were fighting on separate sides! You would snap, you would swipe, and you almost killed me! How could you regret that?!"

King sighed. "I never would've admitted it then, but now I gladly would: I cared from the start. The second you showed up at my door, I saw Gold in you. You had his free spirit, his talent, everything! It was almost like...you and him were long lost twins, and the second twin came to take his spot when Gold...left. You may not have known Sapphire, or Copper, or Scarlet, and you definitely didn't have me as a parent, but you and Gold were almost identical!"

"You saw...your own son in someone you had never see before?"

"I-I'm so sorry, Purple. I should've realized it sooner."

"King..."

"I didn't know what to do. I always thought you'd think I never cared, but I did! I loved you, and still love you, like my own son. I was hoping you'd realize that, and it hurt when I thought you didn't. I'm so sorry, kid, I-I wish I did something sooner! I was just so overcome with rage and grief about what happened to Gold that...that I was blind enough to realize I had already found a new family."

"A family in what?"

"In you."

"You cared. You really did. I should be sorry, King."

"What? Why you?"

"Cause I didn't realize it! I always thought you didn't care because you used me! I thought you didn't care about me because all I was was a pawn in your master plan! You barely acted like you cared, and I didn't realize that...you did care. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner."

"I just wanted a family again. All my family did was fall apart, and the only person you ever loved ended up lost in a game corruption before he suddenly came back and is now out there fighting alongside you while I'm stuck in here questioning if you've ever cared! And now, Gold's home and I don't have a place in your life anymore! You...you don't have to care. You never had to."

"I'll still care. I didn't come because you and Green are best friends. I came because I wanted to prove to Navy, and you, that no matter what, I'd always be there for you. Even if your stuck in...whatever state your in now, I'll always be here. Because I love you, Purple. I always have, and no matter what happens to you, I always will."

"But...what if one day...you grow sick of me? Or I disappoint you? Or we get separated and I never see you again? Or...or..." Purple wanted to cry even harder as he thought of everything that could go wrong.

King brought Purple closer to him. "That'll never happen. I'll never grow sick of you, you'll never disappoint me, and we'll always find each other if we get separated. I'll always be here when you need me. Your an amazing kid, Purple. I hope me being around has helped you realize that, and you deserve so much more than Navy and what he's given you. He's already hurt you enough, and I just kept that ball rolling." King said.

"King...promise me something."

"Yeah?" "Please don't leave me."

"Oh, Purple. I promise you. I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying right here with you. Gold can't replace you. Nobody can. I'll be here for you when you need me. I'm so sorry, Purple. I didn't realize I made you think something like that. I'll be right here. I'm not gonna leave you."

"Promise me?"

"I promise you."

"Don't worry, Purple. I promise I'll always be here for you."

"I love you."

" Your one of the strongest people I've met, and nothing will ever change that. Even if you were weak, I'd still be there for you, no matter what. I promise."

"I'm always here for you. I always will. I'll stay right here. I won't leave your side, no matter what. We will get through this together. Cause I'm staying right here with you."

"With me?"

King pulled him close. "With you."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"There's nothing to be sorry about, Purple. I understand you've been hurt by people your entire life, me included, and I wish you weren't, but that's not something I can decide. Navy made the choice to turn you into what you are, and I chose to hurt you even if I didn't realize what I was doing then. You're still just a kid, and you're still stuck in that mindset because all the universe has done to you is hurt you."

"Kid, Navy could kill you! Even him kidnapping you is enough to hurt me! But killing you?! I'd be devastated for the rest of my life. I'm doing this for your own safety."

"I just...I don't want you to get hurt. If these guys ever find you...you'll die. And I don't...I don't wanna lose you, Purple! I love you so much it would hurt me so badly to see you leave."

"You were there when I needed someone the most. You became my family after I lost my own. It was you who stopped my rampage. You who brought me back into reality. You, Purple. All you. I need you to realize that. You have to fight against Navy's control. He isn't true family. I'm your true family. I'm the one you see as a father, not him. I'm there when you need someone, not him. You said I was the best thing that ever happened to you. I'm always there to comfort you when you need it! So, please, Purple, fight it! I'm here. I'm right here! I love you, kid. I always have, and always will. Please!"

"Purple, please. You fought through this before, you can fight through it again. I'm here. I'm right here! I made a promise to you, remember? I promised I'd always be there for you. I promised I'd always be with you. I'm not breaking that promise, am I!? I'm here for you, and I'm here with you. I'd never break a promise I made to you, okay?! Please Purple, listen to me! I know your in there. I need you to fight. For yourself, your friends, and for me. I love you, Purple. Always have, and always will."

"Of course. Listen, Purple, no matter what your dad says, always remember nothing he's done is your fault. Only his. Your dad can say anything he wants, but when he says I don't love you, he's wrong. I love you so much, Purple. Always have, and no matter what, I always will."

"What Navy's done to you has shaped you into who I know and love. Hell, if it weren't for you, I would've destroyed all of Minecraft. You've been through so much thanks to him, but it's shaped you into the person I grew to love. You're not Navy's kid, or guard, or an enemy of ours. You're my kid, my best friend, my everything. I can't risk losing you again, not when you're the only one I have left..."

"Please, Purple. Fight it! You've fought Navy's control before, and we all know you can do it again. Fight it!"

"Purple, he's wrong. You're not stupid, or worthless. And you are good enough. Any one of your friends can tell you, but I know you'll listen to me the most. You are good enough, even if your dad doesn't acknowledge it. You're a good friend to everyone, and you're an amazing kid, Purple. I wouldn't have let you come with me if I thought you were a failure. Because you aren't. You are amazing in so many ways. And...I am so, so proud of you and how far you've come, even with everything you've gone through."

"Purple…I know you're in there somewhere. Please, fight through this. You've fought through Navy so much throughout every single ordeal he's put you through, and I know this time won't be any different! Please, honey, I know you can do this. I believe in you, Purple. Nothing is going to change that."

"Come on, Purple. I know you're in there. Please."

"Purple, it's me! Please listen! I know you're probably too far gone to hear this but...I need you to listen. I'm right here. And...I love you. I'm really sorry I didn't tell you that sooner, but it doesn't matter. It doesn't change the fact that it's true. I love you, and I am so proud of you."

"Your my entire world, Purple. And your all over got left, and all I have left is so important to me, that I can't lose it. I can't lose you, Purple. I'm sorry...for ever making you think that you weren't important to me, but you are! You mean more to me than world domination ever did! Please...I can't lose you again..."

"Purple, baby, listen. You'll bring us back. I don't know how, but you will. You'll rescue Dark and Second, wherever they are. You might think everything's on you now, mainly since it is, but I know you can do this. You've gotten past every obstacle thrown your way since this whole thing started, and this...this isn't any different. You'll stop them. I promise."

"I love you, my little flower."

"NAVY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"AT LONG LAST! I HAVE FINALLY OPENED THE GREAT ABOVE!"

"So it is another dimension."

"Holy shit, he actually did it. He actually opened the portal!"

"Did we doubt it?"

"A little."

"Don't think you'll be let off easily, Purple. You're coming with me."

"Like hell he is!"

"HAH! What are you going to do?! Stop me?!"

"Hell yeah we are."

"Yellow! I'll get Purple out of here! You keep Navy from attacking us!"

"Right!"

"Hang on, kid!"

"Don't worry, kid. This story isn't over just yet."

"Don't let go, kid…please…"

"I…I'm so sorry…"

No, no, NO!

"Purple…no…"

"Guess my story's over…"

"Purple, no! Please!"

"PURPLE!"

"You know your fatal flaw, King Orange?"

"Your assumptions are almost always correct."

"Fern, you…"

"YOU TRAITOR!"

"Oh, King, traitor is such a strong word."

"Gold."

"What?!"

"Look."

Within seconds, they were surrounded by drones.

"Fuck."

Navy snarled, a gun making it's way into his hand. "We'll just see about that."

Purple's eyes widened, and his heart dropped.

He recognized that gun.

"King, get the others out of here. Now."

"What?! No! I'm not-"

"King, please. Just trust me. I'll join you guys as soon as I'm done dealing with this guy. I promise. Just go!"

It hurt Purple sending King away, because King was trying to protect him, but he had no choice.

He had to protect King.

In one way or another.
