Summary: As Gemma and Nero are headed out on their way to a lunch date together when they come upon an accident and work together to help the victims.

Spoilers: Not really, but set somewhere after5x06: Small World, but before season 6 and yes I know they were basically just "playing house" as Nero put it at this point, but I still thought of them as a couple.
A/N's Okay I know I said in my notes with my last one shot that it would probably be my last one on these two, but this idea just came to me so I'm back wanting to write about it and this one will most likely be my last one for sure. This fic this set somewhere after 5x06: Small World, but before season 6 and Gemma didn't have that one night stand at all. Honestly I wanted more story lines of them working a team in their relationship which I thought it was awesome and loved scenes like that between them, they only had two in canon: once in s6 where they helped Juice after he overdosed and s7 with that lady up at the cabin, but of course unfortunately and sadly that scene was only implied not seen. No beta. Please R & R, but no constructive criticism.

On The Road –Charming Afternoon – 12pm
Gemma and Nero are headed out to lunch on a bright sunny warm sunny day, Nero is driving Gemma's car while she's in the passenger seat and the two are making small talk together. They are both dressed causally. Moments later she placed her hand on the top of his thigh leaving it there.
"So baby, where are you taking me for lunch?" she asked
"Somewhere simple" he replied, looking over at her for a split second
"Oh" she said, smiling, leaning back in her seat, but staring flirtatiously over at him
He continued driving to their destination when suddenly a car swerved to avoid another smashed into the other car.
"Oh shit!" she exclaimed, an expression of shock on her face for a split second
"Damn!" he exclaimed, slamming on the breaks
The SUV comes to a complete stop Nero looked over at Gemma
"You okay, Mama" he asked
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, are you?" she asked, breathing a bit heavily while looking over at him
He nodded cutting off the ignition and they both quickly remove their seat belts and get out of the car shutting the doors running up to the cars.
"Babe, you call 9-1-1!" Gemma yelled at Nero running towards the car
"Okay" he said, pulling out his phone dialing 9-1-1 telling them about the accident and where it is
"Mama, we'll both help them!" he yelled back running to the car as well
Gemma nodded and the two of them work as a team trying to help the victims.
"We're here to help you two" Gemma announced
"My name's Gemma and this is Nero" she said to the couple who are in extreme pain
The woman groans and moans in pain "My..husband..."
"Okay, just hold on, help's on the way" Gemma assured her as the woman slowly closes her eyes going unconscious.
"Ma'am, stay with me!" she yelled, looking at Nero concerned, but hiding it well from the victims while Nero helping the passenger on the other side while a few other people who stopped are helping the other two people in the other car.
"Mama, this guy's unconscious" Nero told her looking over the man trying to see what kind of injuries he has.
"I know" she said, holding her hand over the wound on the woman's head
"This guy's got serious injuries, Gem" Nero whispered in a very voice to Gemma so the wife wouldn't hear him.
She just nodded
The ambulance arrived five minutes later and took over from Gemma and Nero who walked away from the accident to Gemma's SUV a bit shaken up, but also a bit bloody and dirty getting inside putting back on their seat belts closing their doors.
They look over at each other unsure of what to say, but after a few moments is when Gemma spoke up
"Baby, we have to change now" she said
"I know" he replied, sighing heavily
"We can go back to my place you still have some clothes there right?" she said
"Yeah I think so" he smiled
With that Nero started the car and they head back to Gemma's home to get dressed and finally go on their date.
They arrived at Gemma's place ten minutes later, Nero pulled into the driveway turned off the ignition and unbuckled his seat belt Gemma unbuckled hers grabbing her purse getting out, he gets out shutting his door walking around to meet Gemma and they walk up to the house Gemma gets out her keys opening the door walking inside Nero follows her closing the door behind him.
Once inside the two of them turned to each other smiling flirtatiously, Nero walked to her wrapping his arms around small frame gently squeezing her ass his lips move toward hers until they are only inches away she meets him halfway and their lips touch each others instantly starting to kiss passionately. Gemma moans softly inside his mouth they move back until a hard bang touches her back causing her yelp in a bit of a pain, Nero quickly let go of her in concern and they stop kissing.
"Mama, you okay" he asked, looking at her breathing a bit heavily
"Yeah, yeah" she replied, breathing heavily rubbing her back where the table got her
"I think the table got me" she said, chuckling a bit
"Sorry" he smiled, reaching around rubbing her back
"It's okay, we uh better change our clothes and get out of here before our make out session goes any further, we'll never leave" she said
He nodded "Yeah good idea, babe"
"You know I can't keep my hands off you though, Mama" he pointed out
"I know, I can't keep my hands off you either" she pointed out, smirking
They walk upstairs to Gemma's room going inside closing the door and start changing their clothes picking out more causal clothes – clean ones.
After thirty minutes they are both dressed, Gemma is in her bathroom putting her makeup back on again and re spraying her perfume on herself.
"Mama, you almost ready?" he asked, taking a seat on the bed
"Yeah baby, give me a minute" she said, still looking in the mirror putting on her eye liner
"Okay, take your time" he said, watching her from the bed
A few minutes Gemma turns off the light in the bathroom walking out into her bedroom
"I'm ready" she announced
"You look hot, Mama" he complimented
"Thank you, baby" she replied, smiling walking over to him
He stands up taking her hand into his and they walk downstairs together and into the kitchen, Nero grabs her purse handing it to her walking over to the kitchen door Gemma opens it turning around looking up at him and he looks at her.
"Well now you better tell me where you're taking me" she said
"Not a chance, Mama, but you'll love it, trust me" he smiled
"Come on!" she begged
He shook his head "No"
She groans in disappointment
They walk outside Nero closes the door behind them
"Please, baby" she begged again walking around to the passenger side Nero opens the door for her and she slides inside he closes the door and walks around to the drivers side opening the door getting inside putting on his seat belt and Gemma puts on hers. He starts up the car pulling out of the driveway heading to their surprise date.
"You aren't going tell me are you?" she asked, looking over at him
He shook his head no "Babe, I promise you'll love it"
"Do you trust me?" he asked, still looking at the road
"Yes I do" she confirmed
"Good" he said
"You know I'm not big on surprises" she pointed out
"I know, Mama" he said
"Please tell me!" she whined a bit
He chuckles shaking his head
After an hour he pulled into the surprise place driving around a few minutes he finally found a parking spot pulling into it cutting off the ignition looking over at her watching her reaction.
Her looks over her eyes widen a bit in shock
"You did this for me?" she asked
"Yeah" he replied back
"Do you think I'll be any good at it?" she asked
"If I teach you how to and I will" he smiled
"Really?" she asked
"Yeah" she smiled
Gemma unbuckles her seat belt grabbing her purse placing the strap onto her arm getting out of the car closing the door, Nero unbuckles his seat belt grabbing the keys placing them into his pocket getting out closing the door walking around to Gemma who is at the back taking her hand into his they walk into the place together.
"I hope I'm good at this baby" she breathes
"You will be I know it, I believe in you" he said as they walking towards the door
"I love you, Mama" he said, opening the door for her
"I love you too, Pimp daddy" she said, smiling stepping inside
"Let's do this" he announced, letting her go
"Okay" she said, putting down her purse following him
