21. Mission: Jet Fusion

Calamitous's Private Island, 23:45

In the dead of the night a man on a speed boat was making his way to a mysterious island. That man's name was Nolan Dean, better known as the famous spy Jet Fusion. He was known throughout the world as the world's deadliest spy. He was handsome, smooth, calm and collected; he had never failed a mission in his entire life. Tonight he was on a mission to apprehend or kill the infamous genius known as Professor Finbar Calamitous who had since gone AWOL from his partnership with the United States Government. Jet docked his boat on the beach and made his way through the lush jungle. While sneaking around Jet managed to avoid the heavy security Calamitous had set up. He passed the heat and motion sensors with a specially made suit made for him by BTSO. Jet with expert skill avoided Calamitous's guards and those he didn't he eliminated and disposed of them leaving no trace. Jet got into Calamitous's base of operation, he switched clothes with a guard he disposed of and made his way to Calamitous's office. When he made it to Calamitous's office he was met by grunts guarding the room. One looked young with a baby face and another who looked a tad older with a much more rough exterior. "What are you doing here?" the tougher one asked, aiming their gun at Jet fully prepared to shoot him if he didn't get an answer he liked. Jet knew how to maneuver through a situation like this. He had been through it a hundred times. He could tell that these guards were new, not just new, they were probably rookies who just finished their training or whatever passed for training in this place he knew exactly how to approach them.

"Relax, rookies, you're not going to impress anyone acting like some army brats." Jet said to them in a carefree tone. The guards began to relax a bit. "You know us?" The two men glanced at one another before looking back at Jet. "Of course I do. I was there when Captain Jameyon picked you out to guard the professor's study. I was skeptical but he seems to believe in you." Jet lied to them using the information he was given about Calamitous's operation before ever coming to the island. "He does." The younger looking one asked, looking a bit pleased with himself. "I don't know what he sees in you two. Maybe that's why I'm not a captain." Jet ranted on trying to get more familiar with the boys. "What do you want?" The tougher looking one asked, looking very agitated by Jet's presence. "Oh that's right. Almost forgot. Well the captain wants to meet you in the army for something. I don't know what he wouldn't tell me. Why would he? It's not like I've worked here for the last six years, slaving away day in and day out." Jet ranted hamming up his performance to make himself look more believable. "Just because he gets promoted first doesn't mean he just forgets his old college's…" Jet ranted. "Alright we get it." The tougher guard said, completely dropping his guard. "Let's go. I'm sick and tired of listening to this guy." he said to his partner before both made their leave. "Don't worry I'll guard the boss's office while you're out." Jet waved to them as they left. Jet let out a confident smile as he walked into Calamitous's office. Jet walked in and took notice to Calamitous's décor. There were dozens of books on a bookshelf, a big desk that looked like it was made from oak wood and a gigantic portrait of himself right behind it.

Jet moved carefully trying trigger any alarms, he made his way to Calamitous's computer and logged on. "Alright Doctor let's see what you have here." Jet said to himself as he searched through Calamitous's files. "It's Professor actually." Jet looked shocked but saw no one. A holographic projection of Calamitous appeared before the agent. "Jet Fusion, known throughout the East and West as the greatest spy in the world. It's an honor. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." Calamitous said with a sinister smile on his face.

Dimmsdale, 21:12

A few months after Jet went missing a deal was being conducted on the docks in a town called Dimmsdale. It was a deal between Flora, leader of the Green Fist and another party. The cars arrived, there were two cars and a truck. Flora was the first to get out of her vehicle. She had a clearly annoyed look on her face. She had just escaped her long stay and Black Creek prison and her organization was in total shambles, she had learned her top operative Mystique and Max were double agents working for Savage and since her big plan to destroy the country failed most of her other operatives had scattered into the wind. The Green Fist was a shell of its former glory and she needed to do something big in order to restore it. She walked in front of her car with her two bodyguards. A man stepped out of the second car. He looked Asian, maybe Chinese or Japanese. Flora couldn't tell the difference, he was quite short, about five feet and very obese and was wearing an expensive suit. Flora was disgusted by the sight of the man; he was basically the poster boy of everything she hated about humanity and was infuriated she had to do business with him. The man stepped out with four bodyguards of his own. "Do you have the weapons Mr Chen?" Flora asked. "Of course my dear." He answered. Mr Chen snapped his fingers and one of his guards came in holding a futuristic gun. "One hundred and fourteen plasma rifles." He said taking the gun from his guard. "One shot from one of these could blow a man's chest cavity to pieces."

"We'll see." Flora took the gun from Mr Chen and fired it at a crate and blew it to pieces. "Does it impress?" He asked. "They'll be sufficient. Nelson pay the man." Flora's bodyguard Nelson pulled out his phone and began to transfer money into Mr Chen's account when suddenly a bolt of lightning came flying out of the sky hitting the truck causing it to explode. Everyone looked up to see a group of four teenagers standing on a building. "Oh shit it's the N-Men!" One of the guards shouted as he pulled out his gun. The man instantly knocked into the water by a blur. "Sorry to disappoint you. The N-Men couldn't make it but I hope we can suffice." The blur was revealed to be Nate Estevez, younger brother of Sheen known as the speed hero Nitrous, his power is vibrating his body on a molecular level allowing him to reach superhuman speeds, his top speed is around Mach 2. While Nate was distracted one of Mr Chen's bodyguards pulled out his weapon and prepared to shoot him in the head. Two arms stretched passed Nate knocking him out. "You need to stay focused kid." Megan said, revealing herself. "Sorry, I get carried away sometimes." Nate smiled at her. Megan Connors Libby's friend known as the elastic hero Miss Stretch, her body gained properties similar to rubber allowing her to stretch her limbs, defend against most attacks and even shape shift her body. Two more guards were knocked out by someone slamming their heads together. "She's not wrong. Don't think your brother would take it too kindly if we told him you were shot in the head." Brent said. Brent Jones was Sid's best friend known as the defensel hero Steel, Brent can form a metal like substance around his body giving him not only great durability but also enhanced strength. The last bodyguards were electrocuted and knocked out by Nick who stepped out of the shadows in a very badass manner.

"You ladies need to relax. The kids still knew he'd pick it up." Nick Dean Sid's Ex-Girlfriend she is known as the electric Hero Volt, she can generate and absorb electricity to do things such as fire bolts of lightning, form electrical shields, command machines and a recent skill she's learned to read other peoples minds. Mr Chen tried to make a run for it but was stopped by Megan stretching her arm and tying him up with it. "You're not going anywhere Tubby." She said. Nick, Brent, and Nate then turned to Flora. "Are you gonna come in quietly or are we gonna have to get rough?" Nick asked. Flora smiled. "Oh we won't have to do that because I'm not even here." Flora's body began to decompose and wither into nothing. "Well that's upsetting." Nick commented. "Five outta six ain't bad." Brent said. "Fine, Nate bagged these guys up and sent them to the nearest police station. Brent take one of the weapons, we need the boys back at the base to take a look at them." Nodding at their team leader they all went to work. "On it." Nate agreed super speeding off. "Got it boss." Brent replied, having already grabbed a rifle. "Alright we're sorted. Let's go!" Nick ordered her team. Nick, Megan, Brent and Nate were now a team on par with the N-Men, they'd gone on dozens of missions and fought a lot of villains they were known as the N-Force in honor of the woman who gave them their powers and their friends back home in Retroville.

BTSO HQ, 22:23

The team made it back to their headquarters and met up with the leader of BTSO Commander Baker. The teens got into an orderly horizontal line before they approached the Commander. Unlike Jamey, Baker prefers to handle things professionally. "What's your report?" The Commander asked the teens, keeping his calm, stoic demeanor. Nick stepped forward. "We encountered Flora of the Green Fist and a man who goes by Mr Chen. They were conducting an arms deal. They were One Hundred and fourteen in total, We disposed of fourth seven of them and the final sixty seven have been taken into our custody." With a smile the Commander responded. "Excellent work team. You all deserve a good rest." Baker commended them on a job well done or so they thought. The team prepared to leave. "Is that what I'd like to say?" The teenager let out a loud sigh to complain. Ever since they left with him he had been working them hard with unrelenting training drills, espionage missions that lasted for weeks and briefings that lasted hours. Not to mention they had to keep up with their school work with extremely tough tutors from the organization. In truth these kids were in serious need of a vacation; they worked harder than even the N-Men. "I know you kids have been working hard but this is really important. We finally found a lead on Jet." Nick's eyes lit up. "Really! Where is he!?" She asked, barely being able to contain her excitement. "We sent Jet on a mission to locate the supplier of a weapons manufacturing plant. He told us he found a lead on an island but his signal went dark. We've been able to track the island." A holographic projection of the island appeared between Baker and the teens. "This island is known as Thoth after the god of knowledge. It's owned by the third smartest man on the planet, Professor Finbarr Calamitous."

"Wait third." Nate interrupted Baker. "I thought Cyborg was the third smartest." Baker gave a sigh. "Well I'm not getting into the details with you but the hierarchy of intelligence has changed." Most of them then became curious at who was now first. "Cool, who's one?" Brent asked. "Can we get back to the mission!" Nick snapped. "Sorry." Brent apologized, understanding Nick's anxiety. "Okay then." Baker replied. "The island is guarded by a security dome. It's made from an unknown energy and we don't know how to breach it." The teens just back at him. "So what do we do?" Megan asked. "We need to bring in a consultant and see what they have to say before we make any plans." Baker told them. "Who's the consultant?" Nick asked. Baker only gave them a smile back for walking off into the shadows. "You'll see."

Retroville, The Compound, 16:30

After the events of her "date" with Eustace Jamey has been having nightmares and sleepless nights since then. She tried to cope with it like any other attack or fight she has been in but this one just hit a little too close to home. Sid has been staying over this past several nights to hold her as she fell asleep. It was the only time she felt safe falling asleep and Sid did not want to sleep in the same house as his mom until he could truly process what Timmy had told him about her being an alien. He was part alien and Jamey had four other people living in her head. What a pair they made, but Jamey still doesn't know any of this. The fact she was still with him was something he would never question. He just looked at the sleeping girl in his arms and gave a kiss to the top of her head and dozens off. Come morning he would sneak back into his house and change his clothes and head back to the compound. He really didn't want to make his mom suspicious that he knows anything. Not until he is ready to face her about it. Jamey had eventually gotten around to telling her moms what had happened with Eustace and Judy was already getting the necessary paperwork in order to talk with the Stritch Family lawyers so that was one less thing on Jamey's mind as she got back to work with AJ and Brent over the mutated genes they've been analyzing, but this lead to a very heated discussion between two of them that lead to the following day.

The next day in their lab in the compound Jamey and Brent were in a big argument. "It's like your not you're not listening to me!" Brent screamed at her. "I did listen and I think you're wrong!" Jamey yelled back. "Of course you think I'm wrong. If you didn't come up with it, it must be crazy." AJ was sitting down at the counter watching the two friends go at it. The rest of the team walked wondering what the noise was about. "This was just like the time you told me my calculations were off for those mushrooms I was growing for our project." Brent harped back. "They were off. If we did things your way we would've made poison mushrooms not mushrooms that taste like candy." Jamey snapped back. "You are so infuriating!" Brent screamed. Sid decided to get in between the two before things got more heated. "Okay you two. What are you arguing about anyway?" He asked walking over to his girlfriend and place a hand on her back ready to act if she lost her temper, which wasn't a problem but he still liked to be prepared. Also that even if she didn't turn into a raging monster she still put up one verbal or even physical fight if she wanted to. Jamey turned to her friends. "Brent came up with this insane theory…" But was cut off by Brent . "It's not an insane theory." He interrupted her. "Yes it is!" Jamey yelled back at him. "Hey!" Sid had had enough of their flighting. "Let's listen for ourselves." He suggested. Jamey kept quiet and gave Brent the floor. "Okay fine. You see, my theory is that mutations aren't just physical; they have a mental attribute to them. Even with environmental changes some powers just can't be explained by that. Like Libby she was given her powers because the light reflecting from her mirror gave her invisibility but that doesn't explain her force fields, my guess is Libby is a naturally protective person and those force fields are a manifestation of that." Everyone became more intrigued by what Brent had to say. "And Carl, from his story he got powers from burping if I got that right. If Jamey's environmental theory were one hundred percent true then Carl's powers would never have evolved to what they are now. Since Carl was a very shy, quiet person his powers were a manifestation of his need to be heard."

"If any of that were true then mutant evolution could never be classified and their potential would be practically limitless." Jamey chimed in. "Exactly how else would you explain your powers. You have four different alters with different bodies and powers. There's nothing environmental about that." Jamey just bit the inside of her cheek at that because that one was harder to explain. "How do you weigh on this third smartest man?" Sheen asked. "Well it's possible. Mutants are still a huge mystery so Brent 's theory isn't completely out of the question." AJ stated. "An excellent deduction from the second smartest person in the world." Baker said, walking out of the shadows. "Commander Baker." Jamey greeted the man annoyed by his presence. "I see you still don't know how to use doors." She said sarcastically. "This was a surprise. I did bring a present." Baker replied. From the shadows Nick, Brent, Nate and Megan revealed themselves. "Brent!" Sid called out as he hugged a long time friend. "It's been forever." Brent was ready for the massive hug Sid gave him. "I know, I've missed you dude." Brent hugged him back. "I heard about you and Jamey." Sid pulled back confused. "Who told you?" Sid was a little surprised how Brent knew about his relationship. "Sheen pops by from time to time to tell us what's going on with you guys." Sid turned to Sheen who turned away pretending he didn't notice him which made Sid glare at him. Sheen fist bumped his brother. "Good seeing you again Nate." Nate smiled back at Sheen. "I'm good." Nate replied. Sheen then looked at his brother and took notice of his brother's thinner physique and gave his brother a little lecture. "Have you been eating enough? Remember your metabolism is super charged now you have to eat eight, no ten times more than normal." Nate threw his head back. "I know, I know." Nate groaned. Libby and Megan began to catch up talking about various things but nothing really important.

Nick walked up to Jamey. "Hey Neutron." She greeted her. Jamey just looked up fromher laptop she was workingon a little taken back that Nick acknowledged her presents. "Hey Nick." Jamey greeted her back a little weirder out why Nick was talking to her. They weren't exactly close in fact Jamey only remembers talking to the girl three times. And now she was dating the girl's ex so if things weren't great before she highly doubted they'd get better now. "What brings you guys back here?" Jamey asked. "We need your help." Nick replied. "With what?" Jamey asked. "Allow me to explain. We found Jet Fusion's last location on this island. We tried sending drones in but there is a security dome we can't seem to get through." Jamey liked from Nick to Commander Baker. "Why come to us?" Jamey asked. "This island belongs to Professor Calamitous and we need to navigate us so we can find Jet and get out safely. We need you Jamey, you are the smartest person in the world." Everyone got a shocked expression. "Me!" Jamey said in disbelief. "That can't be right. I'm ranked fifth, Calamitous is ranked one." Jamey said, shaking her head. "Used to be. We're always looking for new talent so the top five smartest people in the world are re-evaluated every five years. As of last month the old second and fourth smartest have been changed to four and five respectively, Calamitous has been moved to third, thanks to his super computer brain AJ has been moved to second and thanks to your mutation you've been moved to the number one spot."

Jamey couldn't believe it. She always wanted to be number one but was okay with settling being one of the top five. Now that she is considered the brightest mind on the planet it seems like an empty victory for her. AJ on the other hand was very pleased with himself; he never cared about being number one but liked the idea of being the second smartest person on the planet.

Sheen wrapped his arms around his friends. "You guys got a promotion, let's celebrate!" He called out. "Maybe later." Baker replied. "Right now we need your help." Sid stepped forward. "You can count on us." But Baker just stopped Sid in his tracks. "Not the N-Men, just you Jamey." Baker replied. "Why just me?" Jamey asked. "We can't leave Retroville defenseless right now. After all, Savage is running around somewhere and this city can't lose its greatest protectors." Jamey didn't want to admit it but Baker was right. With the way things were, Retroville couldn't afford to be defenseless. "Okay. Fine, I'll go." Jamey agreed. "AJ you're in charge while I'm gone." AJ gave her a thumbs up. "Okay number one." AJ joked which made Jamey roll her eyes. "Alrighty then. Now that that has been decided we need to leave." Baker ordered. "Wait!" Sheen shouted. "What?!" Jamey said. "I'm sorry but you guys can't leave yet." Sheen said. "Why?" Nick asked. "You're super heroes now. You need suits." Sheen said. Elky rushed towards Sheen. "He's right." Nate was kind of excited at the thought of that. "I'd be into that." Nick said. "Me too." Brent agreed. "Beats using a hoodie." Nate said. Baker sighed knowing the kids were not going to back off. "Fine but let's make things snappy."

"Jamey." Sheen and Elky looked at the girl genius. Jamey sighed. "Fine, give me ten minutes and I'll whip something up." A few minutes later Jamey walked in with the heroes wearing their new suits. "I whipped this up last minute so it's not my best work. So here they are. Ladies and Gentleman the N-Force." The team revealed themselves to the N-Men. Nick was wearing a black trousers with combat boots with a blue hoodie with yellow lightning marks on it with a black mask. Brent was wearing a plain white mask with a purple skin tight bodysuit, ending just above his chest with a cropped sleeveless white leather waistcoat which is unbuttoned, with white boots. Megan was wearing a high collared sleeveless pink leotard with purple lines at her waist and around her arms which is opened to expose her skin from her neck to just below her navel, she sports calf-length pink boots with heels. Nate was wearing a suit similar to his brother but it was white with black pants, black gloves and white boots. His cowl had its top off removed revealing his hair. "We look amazing!" Megan squealed. "Yeah, finally I can use my powers without messing up my clothes." Brent agreed. "So, what do you guys think?" Jamey asked. "I think we're in need of updates." Libby commented. "Yeah." Sid agreed. "Sure I'll get on it when I come back." Jamey replied with a weary smile.

Sid pulled Jamey over to the side to talk with her real quick. "Hey be careful ok I have a bad feeling about this." Sid told her. "Yeah me too but I'll be on my toes and if anything were to happen I have this." She showed him a little whistle around her neck. "It's a whistle that only you and you alone, not even a clone of you can hear. So if I need you, you're only one call away ok?" Sid smiled at the thought of being the first one she'd call. "Ok. That does make me feel a bit better." Sid said, giving her a hug. "Also how are you feeling about the new rankings? I'd thought you'd be more excited about it." Sid asked. "Me too. But there is a lot going on in my head right now than we have time to unpack. So when I get back we'll talk about it ok." Sid gave her a look. "I mean it. We'll talk about everything, even the mushy bits." She said jokingly. "Oh I just love the mushy bits." Sid said with a smile as he pulled her in her a quick kiss knowing she needed to be leaving. "One more thing while I'm gone please do NOT let Libby get me a "Miss Always Right" Shirt please. I do not need that in my wardrobe." Jamey mostly to herself. This led Sid to laughing at his girlfriend. "I won't, now you really have to go now." Jamey smiled at him and gave him one more kiss. "I know bye. Luv ya." Sid just stood there letting out a sigh as he watched his girlfriend head back to the N-Force group. Something still didn't feel right aout any of this.

Elky looked happy for her old partners in crime but couldn't help but feel a little left out. She was with them when they got their powers and she was the one who led them to their victory. Last time she had to stay because she was powerless but this time it's different. She was a sorceress and she wasn't going to be left out this time. Baker got up looking very irritated. "Now can we leave." Elky raised her hand. "Wait." Elky said. "What now!" Baker groaned. "I'm coming with you guys." Nick, Megan, Brent, and Nate looked at each other. "Why?" Nick asked. "You seem to be forgetting something, Nickol. I was there when you guys became mutants, when you were all freaking out I was the one that took charge. I was left out when you guys left because I was powerless. Things have changed." Elky said, changing into her costume. "I'm Mystique, Mistress of Magic." The N-Force looked at each other, smiled, and silently agreed what they needed to do. "What are you waiting for, let's go." Nick said. Elky smiled and prepared to leave but turned to her boyfriend and teacher. "You guys are okay with this right?" She asked. "Of course I am." Carl replied. "Just be safe." He said while giving her a peck on the cheek. "Well it's about time you went on a mission without my supervision. Try not to die. Resurrection magic can be a real pain in the ass." Timmy hand waved her away."You're joking right." Elky asked, losing her smile. Timmy smiled. "Maybe." Elky chuckled to herself not sure is he was being serious or not. "Alright let's go." Baker ordered the teens.

23:45

A few days later after many briefings and simulations the N-Force was on their way to Thoth island. "Alright guys, we're heading towards Thoth island. I'm going to disable the security dome. Get ready!" Jamey said. The plan was simple, using a special grenade launcher that Jamey built they'd tear small holes in the dome, then teams of two would drop off on the island and infiltrate its various sections. Team three was Nate and Megan their mission to find Calamitous's weapon manufacturing plant and destroy it. Team two was Elky and Brent they're job was to hack Calamitous mainframe and steal his sensitive data and Team one was Jamey and Nick, their job was to find Jet. They were to complete their missions within a twelve hour time frame.

"Launch Grenade one!" Jamey ordered. An agent holding Jamey's grenade launcher got up, he aimed at the dome and fired when the grenade hit the dome it created a small hole. "Team three go!" Jamey ordered. Nate and Megan jumped out of the jet as soon as they made it through the dome, Nate vibrated his body slowing down his descent Megan expanded her body making it more like a parachute. As soon as they got to the ground, Megan got on Nate's back and the two raced towards the factory. "Launch the next grenade!" Jamey ordered. A second grenade was fired, making another hole in the dome. "Team two go!" Jamey ordered. Brent and Elky leaped out of the plane and went through the hole. "Etativel su!" Elky called out allowing both to fly down to the island. "Ekam su elbisivni ot elpoep dna saremac!" Elky and Brent were cloaked with magical energy making them seem invisible. "53% left." Elky panted, exhausted from casting the spells. "Wow, magic really is handy." Brent stated. "You should see Timmy, he can do some really cool stuff." Elky smiled at him. The duo ran off into the woods. Back at the jet Jamey and Nick prepared for their jump. "Alright our turn." Jamey said. "Yeah." Nick said barely able to hold her anxiety of meeting her Dad. The last grenade was fired at the dome and Nick and Jamey went for the jump. Jamey transformed into Mercy and stretched her arm to grab Nick, Mercy then formed wings and flew down to the island landing on a beach. "Our target is building on the other side of the island. Think you can make it without causing trouble." Nick said to Mercy who leaned close to Nick's face and showed the teen her razor sharp teeth. "Worry about yourself, I know what I'm doing." Mercy stated. "Then let's go." Nick said before she ran into the jungle a little scared of Mercy.

Mercy leaped from tree to tree, easily crossing the lush terrain, it didn't take long for Mercy to get way ahead of Nick. "Mercy, we can't leave her behind." Jamey stated. But this caused Mercy to scowl in annoyance. "This is why I hate lesser life forms." Mercy stretched her arm back grabbing Nick by the clothes, careful not to touch her skin, and dragged her towards herself. "What the hell!" Nick yelled. "You're slowing us down. And I don't feel like waiting around!" Mercy engulfed herself around Nick, forming herself into a full body suit for Nick to wear. "Let's go!" She ordered. Nick smiled and leaped into the air moving through the trees with ease, using Mercy's enhancements to leap from tree to tree and for the trees to be small or weak to support Nick's weight Nick used Mercy's body to stretch her arms to swing herself further. When they finally got to where they needed to be Mercy separated herself from Nick. "Thanks for the ride. How much do I owe you?" Nick joked. "Twelve boxes of chocolate. Fail to pay and I'll eat your brain." Mercy replied. "You're kidding right." Nick nervously laughed. Mercy didn't respond and changed back into Jamey. "Hey she was kidding right!?" Nick asked again. "Honestly it's hard to tell you better have those chocolates ready just in case." Jamey replied and she went towards the door leaving Nick a little scared. When both Jamey and Nick made it to a door. Jamey used special contact lense scanners to detect any life signs close to them. "Any guards?" Nick asked. "No." Jamey answered. "Alright, I'll disable the electronic lock." Nick said. "Right." Jamey agreed.

Jamey didn't feel right. Something felt off. This seemed easy, like too easy. Maybe she was just being paranoid but this feeling didn't go away. Then Jamey remembered when Savage told she was being paranoid when the chamber blew so maybe she should trust this feeling. She would at least keep her guard up and her whistle close if she needed to call for Sid. They headed on. Once Nick used her powers to disable the lock the duo used a holographic projection device to disguise themselves in the same armor Calamitous's guards normally wear. As they walked through the empty halls Nick decided to spark a discussion. "So you and Sid huh." Jamey's blood froze. She was absolutely dreading this conversation and was instandlty regretting not pairing up with Elky. "Are we really going to talk about this now?" Jamey asked. Trying to hold back her blush. "Yeah well it's not like we have anything better to do. So how did it happen?" Nick asked. "We got stuck on an island for like a month or so. We had time to talk things out and things just happened." Jamey said very vaguely. She realized she could flip the conversation into something that didn't want to make her scream.Do not get her wrong she loves Sid and if she was the type of person to gush about boys she would but this was not a conversation she wanted to have with her boyfriend's ex girlfriend no matter how mature they were. "And what about you and that Sloane girl, you've been seeing." Jamey said. Now it was Nick's turn to blush. "How did you know about her!?" Nick asked, surprised. "I keep tabs on you guys. So how did you two get together?" Jamey continued. "Well we met at that teen club Club Soda and hit things off. If I'm gonna be honest it's a purely physical thing." Jamey was taken back by that. "Really." Jamey said, surprised.

"Yeah, I don't really want to commit to anything until I find my Dad." Nick said calmly leaning against the wall. "So how is it having the world's greatest spy as a Dad?" Jamey jokes. "Terrible. I barely got to see him growing up. I barely know him." Nick said sadly. "Then why are you on this mission looking for him?" Jamey asked. "I don't know, maybe I'm holding out hope this will give me that chance to know the guy you know." Nick explained. "I get that. I wish I'd spent more time with my Dad." Jamey said sadly, wiping a stray tear away. "Did he work a lot as well?" Nick asked curiously. "No. He was killed when I was five. I was so young when it happened that I feel like soon the only memories I'll have of him will be from photos. When I'm done with all this nonsense I'm taking an extended break from work to spend time with my moms" Jamey told the other girl. Nick was taken back by all the girl genius had just told her. "I can respect that." Nick replied. Something changed between the two teens. Before Jamey barely acknowledged Nick's existence and Nick hated Jamey but now these two had the chance to truly become friends.

After a bit of talking and walking Jamey began to notice something strange. "Nick, have you seen any guards since we got on this island?" She asked. Nick began to get a bad feeling as well. "Now that you mentioned it, no." Nick answered. "And we've been walking down this hall for a minute have you seen any doors?" Jamey continued. "No." Nick answered. "We need to get out of here now!" Jamey yelled. "It took you long enough." A voice called out. The floor opened up, Jamey and Nick fell through and ended up in a room. "Where are we?" Nick asked. "You're in my humble abode Ms. Dean. Please enjoy your stay because you won't be leaving. And don't worry about your friends, they'll be meeting their opponents right about now."

Factory

Nate and Megan made it to the factory. "Alright let's break in and blow this place to hell." Nate said as he vibrated his molecules and phased through the wall with Megan. As soon as they entered the building they noticed it was empty. "Huh, where are the weapons?" Megan asked. "Oh, we got rid of those a while ago." aAwoman called out. She jumped to the ground from one of the factory's support beams. "I know you." Nate said, recognizing her. "You should. We worked together for a while." She said, stepping into the light. The woman was revealed to be Beautiful Gorgeous. "But let's not go down memory lane. It's time for you two kiddies to die." She smiled. At another part of the island Elky and Brent made it to Calamitous server. "What do we need to do?" Elky asked. "All we need to do is plug this flash drive in and wait for all of Calamitous data to transfer." Brent explained. "Well you're not going to live to see it." Before Brent and Elky could react they were knocked through a wall by a mutant. The mutant was revealed to be a Bull man. "Sorry but, your mission ends here."

Back with Calamitous the evil genius had just brought Jamey and Nick to him. "What did you do to my team!?" Nick asked charging up her electricity. "What's going on here Calamitous?" Jamey asked. "I finally got you here Neutron." Jamey's eyes widened. "What do you mean finally?" She asked. "Well, let's just say that you should never send an android out to do a kidnapping job." Dr. Calamitous jokes. "That was you?" Jamey hollard back. "Yes and now that I have you we can have some fun." The Professor laughed. "Dammit it was a trap. Gah, tell me where's Jet Fusion!?" Nick asked angrily. Calamitous smiled. "Oh he's right here." Jet stepped into the light with glowing red eyes. Nick began to tear up. "Dad." Before she could run to him Jamey stopped her. "Nick, wait. Something's wrong." Calamitous kept his smirk, Jet without reacting rushed at Nick and kicked her into a wall. "You are as smart as they say Neutron. I'm currently in control of Mr Fusion." Jamey just whipped her head towards the little man. "Hulk let's do it!" Jamey called out. "Right!" Hulk shouted back. As Jamey began to transform Jet stared at her and Jamey changed back into her normal form. "What just happened dampeners shouldn't work on me anymore." Jamey said to herself. She made sure of that after the Eustace incident. "I thought ahead and gave Mr Fusion a mutant ability I call pause. Whenever Jet stares at a mutant he can temporarily halt their powers. Now Ms. Neutron. Your move." As Jet began walking to Jamey, Jamey got into a fighting stance. "I really should've stayed home." She said to herself as she was seriously debating whether or not to use her whistle to call for Sid but she needed to see if she could learn what is Calamitous plan.

The N-Force were in a bind. Calamitous had tricked the team and everyone was in a seriously bad position. Jamey and Nick were facing a newly mutated Jet Fusion who can disable mutant power, Nate and Megan were facing the deadly assassin Beautiful Gorgeous and Brent and Elky were facing a bull mutant.

Jamey and Nick were facing off against Jet Fusion. "I really should've stayed home." Jamey said to herself as Jet charged at her. Jet went in with a kick, Jamey managed to dodge him by ducking, Jet lunged and grabbed Jamey's leg, easily tossing her into a wall. On the otherside of the room Nick regained consciousness, he quickly noticed Jet beating the snot out of Jamey and fired a bolt of lightning. Somehow Jet noticed in time and managed to narrowly dodged Nick's attack, he stared at Nick and disabled her powers again. This did not go unnoticed by Jamey; she instantly felt her alters again. "Mercy!" She called out. Jamey transformed into Mercy, Mercy fired her slime at Jet and again Jet dodged the attack, Mercy morphed her hands into claws and attacked Jet with them. "Shock him!" Mercy yelled at Nick. Calamitous secretly moved away from the fight to make his next move. Jet dodged Mercys attack but got grazed on her back, Jet used his powers on Mercy changing her back into Jamey. Nick didn't let this opportunity go to waste. Jet may have gotten lucky before but he was not faster than lightning, Nick charged himself up with electricity, "Lightning Burst!" Electricity began flying in every direction around Nick hitting both Jamey and Jet, knocking Jet out. Nick ran to the duo to see if they were okay. As soon as he got to them a purple cube was thrown in between them, the cube enlarged trapping all three in an energy cube. "What's this!?" Nick asked. "My invention. I call it Perfect Cube. It's practically impenetrable. Try your hardest, your electricity won't get through."

"What do you want?" Nick asked. "It's simple really I want Neutron. The new… number one." Calamitous said with a hint of venom in his voice. Nick turned to Jamey who was getting up. "I'm fine by the way." Jamey groaned. "Sorry, Dad was a little too good at guessing where I was aiming." Nick apologized while helping Jamey up. "And what was up with shouting your attack?" Jameyquestioned. "All great heroes call out their attack names." Nick replied with a confident smile. "No they don't." Jamey snapped back. "Yes they do." Nick argued. "Hey!" He shouted in anger. Both teens turned their heads remembering they were actually in danger. "What do you want with me Calamitous?" Jamey asked to get back to business. "You don't know this but months ago the US military hired me trying to replace you after your many incidents." Jamey was not impressed or surprised. "Of course they would." Jamey said, rolling her eyes. "I've been experimenting with mutants and their abilities for months and I've created this." Calamitous revealed a very muscular eight foot tall silver robot with his face on it. "This is the Adaptatron. The ultimate weapon against mutants."

"What does it do?" Nick asked. "From its name I'm guessing it adpats to a mutant abilities allowing it to counter them." Jamey said not hiding her know-it-all voice. "Correct. After kidnapping Fusion I figured Baker would send you in sooner or later Neutron." Calamitous agreed and explained. "What do you want from me?" Jamey asked, annoyed. "Simple really, I need you to finish writing the algorithm for me." This stunned Jamey for a moment leaving Nick lost. "Why me, you're the former number one?" Jamey asked. "This old brain isn't as sharp as it used to be. Writing a complex Algorithm In my youth would've been child's play but unfortunately for me time is cruel even to the brilliant. But once you complete Adaptatron's programing I will transfer my consciousness into it and become an unstoppable force." Jamey clicked her jaw. "Why does every psycho think I'll help them when they kidnap me." Jamey groaned, extremely irritated that this has happened to her again.

"Well I have ways of making you see things my way." Calamitous threatened the teen. "You all do. If you're thinking of using some kind of mind control on me. It won't work." Jamey replied, staring the scientist down. "I know. But you seem to be forgetting something Neutron. You're friends. As of a few minutes ago they began facing my three Calamities. If you wish for their safety, comply to my wishes." Calamitous explained. "You're gonna pay Calamitous!" Nick banged on the cube. "What's your answer Neutron?" Calamitous asked with a withered grin. Jamey kept silent, trying her best to keep a stoic expression to keep Calamitous from knowing how worried she was. "Maybe watching them suffer a bit will help enlighten you." Holographic Monitors formed in front of the heroes and they witnessed the fights the others were involved in. Unbeknownst to any of them Jet had woken up and seemed to have broken whatever control Calamitous had on him and was planning his next move.

Elky and Brent were facing off against the Bull Mutant. The mutant had knocked the both of them through a wall but luckily Elky was fast enough to cast a protection spell to shield herself and Brent from being damaged. The Bull mutant snorted, unleashing a puff of smoke out of his nose. "So who might you be?" Elky asked. "I am the invincible Bull-E. The E stands for the third letter in die and the second to last in Murder!" He roared. "Clearly this guy has issues." Brent said. Bull-E was one of Calamitous's three Calamities. He was a sixteen year old boy named Francis, he was very sick and very twisted young man. He loved violence, he reveled in it. The kids he bullied and fought ended up in near death conditions the only reason he was never arrested was because his father was chief of police and his mother was a federal judge so to say they had connections was an understatement. All that changed when mutants showed up, the balance of power had been shifted the weak became strong, the strong became monsters and he was completely left out. He joined Mutant Brawl and was completely and utterly destroyed. Calamitous found him and promised him great power. After his transformation Francis practiced on Calamitous's soldiers. He's the reason there were no guards left on Thoth.

"So are you ladies gonna give me a decent fight or is this gonna be a squash like those other rulers." Bull-E smiled pounding his right fist into his left hand. Brent armored himself up and did the same as Francis. "Let's see if you're as tough as you smell." "Brent be careful we don't know what this guy can do." Elky warned him. Brent ignored Elky's advice, smiled and charged straight for Francis. Francis was very excited for the chance for a challenge and charged at the heroine. Brent had seriously underestimated his opponent despite being a large hulking figure he was not slow in fact he was very fast. Bull-E moved at unbelievable blinding speeds, speed blitzing Brent knocking him through the wall and a tree crumbling his armor in a single hit. Brent coughed up blood after in during such an intense hit. Bull-E wasn't done with him yet, he chraged straight for him. Elky quickly reacted. "Shadow Possession!" She shouted. Her shadow quickly stretched through the ground and connected with Bull-E's. "Not so fast, Big Guy!" She shouted. "Water Gun!" Elky fired a powerful stream of water that struck the bull villain. "Lightning Strike!" Elky fired a stream of electricity and stunned the villain with a powerful shock. Bull-E kneeled to the ground. "10% that's all I got." She panted. Bull-E smiled and immediately got up. "Whoa, girl that was insane! I hope you still have something in the tank because I'm just warming up." Francis roared.

Elky in a serious bind, this guy was tougher than anyone she ever fought but she couldn't give up if she fell now Brent was going to die and she wasn't prepared to let that happen. She had a plan, it was a serious risk and if it failed she was going to die, Timmy taught her a spell only to use in emergencies Revenge. Elky began to glow in a golden aura. "Steel, don't worry I'll finish this weakling off, you just stay there and rest." Elky smiled at Bull-E. "Let's see who's tougher big guy." Elky felt so weak at the moment, but was not going to give up. "You're my kinda woman!" Bull-E smiled in excitement as he charged at her. Bull-E unleashed a barrage of punches at Elky, Elky guarded herself taking the full brunt of the unrelenting attack.

Revenge was Elky's current most powerful spell she channels a defensive aura around herself and takes an attack and give it back double its power, the more hits she takes the more power she stores but this move isn't perfect, the defensive aura only absorbs 60% of the bows the rest Elky takes herself and with someone as strong as Bull-E she was barely holding on. Brent stared helplessly watching Elky fight for her life, she thought back to her past.

Flashback

Brent had a hard childhood to say the least, his Dad was an alcoholic drug dealer who didn't care about him and his Mom was long gone searching for a better life without him. Brent was seven years old, he had never been in school a day in his life. He couldn't read or write and the only reason he knew how to speak at all was because he learned through watching TV late at night while his Dad was passed out drunk on his recliner. For food Brent would scrap together whatever he could find that his Dad happened to leave behind. Brent's Dad on occasion would send the poor boy out to peddle his drugs when things got too hot for him. One day after delivering his Dad's drugged Brent was ambushed by a local gang of street kids. They wanted the money he got from delivering her Dad's drugs. Brent ran but was eventually cornered in an alleyway. "Just hand it over!" One of the boys told him. Brent held onto the money for dear life, he knew her father would do way worse than anything they could. The boys began to attack him, pulling his hair, scratching him, pushing him down, and trying to tear the envelope he was holding onto dear life out of his arms. The boys were stopped when they heard a loud bang. They turned around and there he was an eight year old blonde boy with fair skin and green eyes, he was wearing a black coat, with rubber duck rain boots. Upon closer inspection it looked like he was wearing a gi under his coat.

"You guys better leave him alone!" He yelled. The boys stopped assaulting Brent and walked towards the boy. "You better keep on walking little boy. Unless you don't want to get hurt." As the group of young and teenage boys continued to walk towards him, the boy began to step back. The gang thought they were scaring him off; but he was actually backing away to do something else. As soon as he got enough distance the boy picked up a trash can lead and threw it directly at one of the boys face hitting him in the nose knocking him down. While the rest of the gang was stunned by what just happened, the boy picked up two beer bottles that were on the ground and charged straight for them, the boy swung as hard as he could and smashed the bottles on two of the boys heads knocking them out, he then kicked one of the bigger ones in the testicles forcing him down, he then picked up the trash can lead he threw and smacked him in the head with it knocking him down.

The last boy attacked him. He looked about twelve or thirteen he tackled and pinned him down. "You psycho! I'll make you pay for hurting my friends!" He shouted with tears and snot falling from his face with anger. "You're the ones ganging up on that boy!" The boy snarled back. The boy managed to knee him in the ribs, when he got down he got on top of them and began to punch, slap and scratch his face. When he looked like he was down, the boy quickly got up, ran to Brent, grabbed his arm dragging him out of the alley. The remaining boys who weren't too hurt got back up and began chasing them down the boy and Brent ran into a man. "Hey, what are you kids so excited about?" He asked. "Those boys attacked us!" The boy cried out. The boys finally reached them but were stopped dead in their tracks at the sight of the man. The man was revealed to be Brick, the biggest crime lord in the city. "There they are!" The boy yelled. Without a word Brick gave them a glare, the boys knew exactly who Brick was and knew what he could do to them. They didn't say a single thing and ran off. "Thanks!" The boy happily smiled at him.

"Why you're welcome little boy. If I may ask, what's your name?" Brick asked him acting like a sweet uncle. "I'm Sid Vortex. This is… huh." He happily replied. "I'm Brent." Brent timidly introduced himself. "Where are your parents? Kids as young as you shouldn't be running around the city by yourselves." He asked. "Well my Dad's car is over there." He pointed to a black SUV that was parked next to a store. "You better get back before he worries." Brick suggested. "Okay." Sid thanked him before taking himself and Brent back to General Vortex's car. "Are you okay?" Sid asked. "I'm fine." Brent sheepishly replied. Brent couldn't believe what happened. This boy he didn't know helped him, risked his life and protected him. He was amazed. "W-Why did you help me?" Brent asked. "Because you needed help. My Dad's in the army and he always tells me that when someone's in trouble I should stay strong and help them." Sid said with an unyielding resolve. Brent thought he was watching some kind of superhero, this boy saved him and still has a smile on his face even though they both faced something extremely terrifying. "Weren't you afraid?" Brent asked. "I was really scared." Sid replied. "Then why did you…"

"Because like I said, you needed help. Doesn't matter how I felt." Sid replied. This really touched Brent, he'd never felt this before, he began to even tear up. "Are you okay?" Sid said, taking out his handkerchief to wipe Brent's face. "Thank you." Brent smiled, but his smile soon changed when he noticed that he had dropped the envelope. "I dropped it!" Brent looked around in a panicked state. "Dropped what?" Sid asked, trying to calm the boy down. "My Dad's money. If I don't find it he'll kill me!" He cried while trying desperately to find the drug money. "I'm sure he'll forgive you if you tell him the truth." Sid tried to calm him down. "No you don't understand!" Brent yelled. Sid may not have had a complete understanding of what was going on but he understood one thing, Brent was afraid and not a normal I heard a strange noise afraid he was walking outside in the dark afraid. Sid didn't exactly know what to do; he just acted on impulse. "Why don't you come with me?" He suggested.

Brent looked at Sid confused. "You can hide at my house. I promise you'll be safe there." Brent was beyond hesitant but he knew that the alternative was way worse for him so he decided to take Sid up on his offer. "Okay." He agreed. "Okay, get in the back seat." Sid told him. Sid opened his Dad's car, he hid behind the passenger seat, Sid found a blanket and placed it over Brent to hide him. "Okay, stay still." Sid said. A few minutes later Sid's father General Sam Vortex AKA Savage came back to his car. "Hey there sweetie. I hope you weren't bored waiting for me?" He said. "No, I had fun." Sam quickly took notice that Sid's clothes were now dirty. "Why are your clothes dirty? What happened?" Sam asked tiredly. "Oh, I huh… played in the puddles while you were gone." Sid lied, trying to act extra cute. Sam shook his head. "Sid, that was very dangerous. What if someone took you." Sam said concerned. "I'm sorry Dad." Sid apologized. "It's okay, just don't do it again." Sam replied while patting his head. Sam drove himself and the boys back to his house none the wiser that Brent was in the car.

Sid's House 14:56

Sid and Sam made it back home, after making an excuse that she forgot something Sid went back for Brent . Sid helped Brent over the fence and by sheer luck managed to sneak her into the house without her parents seeing Brent . Sid took Brent to her room and the duo spent the rest of the day talking and playing together, Brent was a bit nervous at first but soon got into the swing of things and enjoyed herself. Later that night Sid snuck Brent into the attic she gave her a blanket and one of her spare pillows, three packets of chips in case Brent got hungry and some books in case she got bored. After Sid left, Brent began staring at the ceiling wondering how long this was going to last.

The next day, Sid woke up very early in order to get Brent food before his parents woke up to get Brent some food. "Hey Brent." Sid shook the boy to wake him up. Brent opened his eyes and for a second he forgot where he was in someone else's house. "Hey." Brent said grogglely. "Did you sleep well?" Sid asked. Brent nodded his head. "Great. I brought you some food. I made you cereal, brought some fruit and some toast." Sid explained giving Brent a tray of food. Brent was really surprised by this, he'd never seen this much food before. He instantly ate it all up like a hungry animal. "Wow you were hungry." Sid commented. He then noticed all the chip packets he had left before torn up on the ground, "He was really hungry." He thought to himself. "Did you like the books?" Sid asked.

Brent didn't want to answer because he was too embarrassed why he didn't read the books. "What's wrong?" Sid asked. Brent looked away from Sid. "Come on you can tell me." Sid continued to nag him. "I can't read." Brent whispered. "What?" Sid asked. "I can't read!" Brent yelled. Sid was a bit surprised by what Brent said but understood that this was a sore spot for the boyl. "That's okay. I'll read it to you." Sid replied. Although his reading skills weren't exactly scholar level either. "Once upon a time…"

Sid and Brent were able to keep this routine going for about a few days, Sid even tried to teach Brent how to read, he also learned more about Brent's situation. It seemed like everything was gonna work out until. "SID Vortex! Get your butt over here!" Sid ran towards his parents and froze up the second he saw them. Sam and Susan were standing cross armed with Brent between them. "Young man, would you mind explaining to us what this boy was doing in our attic?" Susan asked. "That's my friend Brent. She was just… huh, visiting us." Sid tried to lie. "Oh really. Then why did I find a blanket and pillow in the attic?" Sam said not believing a word coming from his mouth. "And why were her clothes in the laundry?" Susan asked. Sid really really just wanted to burst into tears and cry but after taking one look at Brent he somehow gained some resolve. "I can explain." He said. "Okay, we're listening." Susan replied. Sid explained with Brent's help to the best of his abilities Brent's situation and why he brought him home. Sam and Susan sat down. Sam sighed. "Sid you could've gotten us in a lot of trouble because of what you did."

"I'm sorry Dad." Sid began to tear up. "But we are proud that you helped someone in need." Susan replied. "But Brent has to go home." Sam continued. Sid was shocked. "Dad he can't!" Sid's parents sighed with regret. "I'm sorry Sid. There's nothing we can do." Sam replied. Something came over Sid, something came over him. "No!" Susan stood back shocked. "What?" Sam replied, shocked. "I said no. You guys are always telling me that I should help someone that's in trouble. Brent is in trouble and I'm gonna help him!" Sid screamed with tears coming from his face. "Watch your tone young man!" Susan yelled. "No, won't! Sid screamed with such ferocity that it actually took Susan and Sam back. Both of them didn't know what had gotten into their son but secretly they both loved it. He was showing a will that no eight year old should have, he was showing the type of drive that both of them would need for their future plans but knew if they didn't give him what he wanted he might resent them. Brent was beyond touched, he was on the verge of tears, this boy he met by chance had done so much for him and was still fighting. He tried but he couldn't hide the smile on his face. Susan turned to her husband. "Sam what do we do?" She asked. "Well I think there's something I can do." He smiled. Sid's eyes lit up as he hugged his parents. "Thank you, thank you!" Using his connections as Savage, Sam managed to get the evidence needed to have Brent 's father arrested for child abuse and drug dealing. Sam also used his connections to get Brent adopted in an incredibly short amount of time. A nice family called the Osborn's who are as close to decently good people as humanly possible.

08:00

A few weeks later after all the chaos Sid walked into his classroom to see a familiar face. "Brent!" He hugged his friend. "Sid!" Brent squealed as he hugged his friend. Years later after the N-Men defeated Savage at his base before Commander Baker took the N-Force Brent pulled Sid aside. "Hey Sid can I talk to you?" Brent asked. "Of course." Sid replied. After gaining a little distance Sid began talking. "Look I'm sorry I didn't tell you about me being Special Guy…" Sid tried to say. "No, that's okay. I've read comic books before secret identities and all that stuff." Brent told his best friend. "Then what did you want to talk about?" Sid asked. "About everything that happened. And what it all means? If you're talking about your powers you don't have to be a hero…" Brent asked. "The thing is. I want to be a hero just like you."

"Really." Sid said surprised. "Sid all those years ago, you saved my life. You gave me a second chance. If it wasn't for you I'd probably be dead by now. That's why I want to be a hero so I can help people and protect them. But I don't know if I can be as fearless as you." Brent revealed. "When we fought that robot I'm not going to lie, I felt like I was going to collapse that's how scared I was. You would probably have taken it down with a smile on your face." Brent said. "I'm not fearless, Brent. I'm just as scared as anyone else." Sid said seriously. "Really!?" Brent said surprised. "When I go out into the field, I'm terrified that maybe just maybe this time I might die but there's something that scares me way more." Sid explained. "What?" Brent asked. "That look on someone's face when they're suffering, or even worse when they die. That's all the motivation I need, because the pain of losing someone when you know there's something you couldve done is way worse. I just tell myself to stand tall, protect others even if it means my life I won't regret anything now or ever." Sid explained. "Wow, I didn't know you felt that way." Brent said. "Well I don't make an effort to show my vulnerable side to people, but I think I can make an exception for my best friend." Sid winked at her. Brent began to laugh and at that moment Commander Baker entered the room.

Brent didn't know why he thought back to when he first met Sid and all that other stuff, no that was a lie he knew exactly why he was thinking about those days. "If he hits me again, I don't think I'll get back up." He thought to himself. Back with Bull-E and Elky, Bull-E was relentlessly attacking the young sorceress, he was barely giving her time to breath. "Come on sweetheart don't tell me this is all you've got!" Bull-E smiled as his sped up his punches. "Dammit, even with my aura this hurts like hell. I don't think I can hold on much longer." Elky thought to herself. Brent looked on helplessly as she watched Elky take the beating.

Back at Calamitous's lab Jamey and Nick were watching the fight and their attention was 100% glued to the monitor, while Calamitous smiled deviously. In the factory Beautiful Gorgeous instead of fighting the teens showed them Bull-E's fight with Elky and Brent on her holowatch, Nate wanted to move to help them but couldn't, unlike his brother he has terrible stamina and he burns through his energy reserves way quicker. He was too worried that he'd burn up too much energy taking Megan there and not having energy to fight or leaving Megan at the Mercy of Beautiful Gorgeous either way he would wait for the moment to make a move.

Back with the others, Bull-E kept pushing Elky back with his barrage of punches. Brent looked on and saw Elky with what little strength she had redirecting the bull mutant away from her. "Dammit I thought I was different now. I'm still that helpless boy Sid got out of the Gutter." Brent tried to get himself up but the pain was too much for him. "I need to get up. Elky's protecting me even though those punches are clearly wearing her down. Can't I do anything." Brent asked himself as he began to tear up. Brent then began to think about Sid and the day they met he remembered the question he asked and Sid's answer and even if he didn't believe him at first watching Sid all these years made him believe. He then thought about why he joined N-Force in the first place and the reason was simple: he wanted to be like the person he respected more than anyone else in the world, he wanted to be like Sid. Brent activated his armor and leaped into the air towards Bull-E and knocked the bull back with a single punch. "Steel." Elky groaned. "Rest up, I'll handle things from here!" Brent said. "So you're back for round two. Let's see if you can last any longer sweetheart."

"You're not going to knock me down again!" Brent declared. Bull-E smiled and charged at Brent, he swung at him and sent her flying back into a wall but she kept her armor up. Bull-E looked surprised that his punch seemed less effective. "I told you before, you're not going to knock me down!" Brent shouted. He began to glow, his body grew two feet in size, he gained a more muscular build and his arms gained sections that looked like segments. Everyone was surprised by what Brent did, especially Calamitous and Jamey. "She was right." Jamey said, acknowledging that she was wrong about Elky's theory. "I see you changed. Let's see if you get any tougher!" Bull-E charged at Brent and unleashed a powerful barrage of punches on Brent. He planted his feet firmly on the ground and took the attack, the ground broke apart on impact but Brent did not move; he was holding his own.

"What I blew him away like nothing before. What happened?" He thought to himself. Brent was trying his best not to fall over, even with his increase in defense Bull-E's punches still hurt like hell but he wasn't going to give up, he remembered what Sid said to him at the military base. "Come on Brent stay strong, protect others even if it means your life. You've been given this second chance, don't waste it. Don't regret anything you do now or ever, I will be a hero, I won't be defeated." He thought to himself as he continued to stand his ground. Bull-E was beginning to wear himself down, he was getting tired and Brent noticed this, using the last of his strength Brent prepared to throw a punch at the bull mutant. Both mutants hit each other with a force strong enough to cause a shockwave, Brent changed back to normal as he fell to the ground, Bull-E spat out a tooth and smiled at the boy. But before he could enjoy his victory he felt something behind him. He turned around to see Elky pulsating with energy. "Thanks for letting me catch my breath, Steel. Now I can waste this guy!" Elky roared as she charged straight for the bull mutant. With a single punch she sent Bull-E flying out of the building. "Revenge!" She shouted. Bull-E flew into the air like a rocket, he had already passed out from the punch and landed face first into the ocean. "How was that for a fight?" Elky panted before she passed out onto the floor.

Back at Calamitous's lab, the group was surprised by what they just saw. "Well that was unexpected." Calamitous commented. "Jamey we need to get to them, they need medical attention." Nick said. "I know, I know." Jamey replied. "Did you see that?" Calamitous asked. "See what?" Nick replied. "I'm not talking to you sparkle fingers. Neutron, did you notice what happened to the blonde boy?" Jamey nodded. "Yeah I noticed." Nick was becoming more worried. "Interesting isn't it. Mutation evolution based on mental activity. She's become far stronger than when she got here. I think we need to come up with a name for such a phenomenon don't you." Calamitous rambled. "You're right. I think we should call this evolution an awakening." Jamey replied.

"Interesting. Why that name?" Calamitous asked. "Well from my own research mutations have both physical and mental attributes. Mutants like Special girl and Invisible girl gained more power because their bodies got used to their powers and mutants like me gained more power through mental means. What Brent just did was a combination of both. She had reached the pinnacle of her physical powers and when she broke through whatever mental wall she had her powers reached their true peak making this her awakening to her true power." Jamey explained. "I see why you're considered the new number one. You were able to come up with a plausible theory with limited information. But I'm sad to see you really haven't explored the true power of mutations." Calamitous replied. "What do you mean?" Jamey asked. Calamitous smiled at her. "Jamey, would you mind not nerding out with the enemy." Nick pulled the girl genius aside. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself." Jamey replied with a blush.

"The girl is right, we were in the middle of something. Miss Gorgeous, be a dear and take care of those kids quickly. I don't have all night." Calamitous ordered her. "On it boss." Beautiful replied deactivating her watch. "Wait!" Nate called out, making Beautiful stop. "Wanna surrender to make my job easier?" Beautiful asked. "No, why don't you just give up." She smiled. "Why aren't we cocky?" Beautiful teased. "It's not like that. It's not too late for you. You don't need to follow another psychopath, you have a choice." Beautiful began to laugh uncontrollably which unnerved both Megan and Nate. "You see kid, things aren't as simple as they look. I would never betray my father." Everyone was shocked by this. "Is that true?" Jamey asked Calamitous. "Well not that it's any of your business Neutron but yes it is." Calamitous answered. "So trust me when I say this, there's no place I'd rather be than here." She smirked. Nate sighed, "Then I guess that's it." Nate rushed at Beautiful and went in with a punch as soon as he connected Beautiful Gorgeous exploded into water.

Before Nate and Megan had a chance to react Beautiful completely reformed herself revealing her new mutation. Nate rushed at her again, Beautiful turned herself into water to dodge him, splashing water all over his body The water moved up from Nate's body and surrounded his head in a water bubble, Nate began to drown from the water and was helpless to do anything before he knew it Nate passed out. "What did you do to her!" Jamey asked. "Oh that. Beautiful Gorgeous's old power set was really boring so I gave her something a lot more exciting." Calamitous said bragging about his daughter. "How did you do it?" Jamey asked. "Simple my girl, firstly I had to get rid of her old powers so I created a cure for her mutation." Jamey was really surprised by this; her own research was nowhere near as close to a cure. "How did you find a way to break down the mutant DNA?" Jamey asked. "I didn't. I worked in reverse. Instead of breaking down the mutant DNA I instead found a way to enhance the human part. Sometimes the hardest problems have very simple solutions. It's actually what I used as the basis for Mr Fusion's abilities." Jamey hated to admit it but she was impressed with how far Calamitous had gotten in his research, despite moving down in the ranks in terms of who was the smartest Calamitous was constantly proving why he was the former number one. "Now Beautiful Gorgeous has the ability to generate, manipulate and become water. Similar to that Stone fellow you fought off a few years ago." Calamitous continued.

The water left Nate and reformed into Beautiful Gorgeous. "Your turn." she said to Megan who immediately went into action. Megan threw a stretched out punch that went through Beautiful's stomach. "Nice try kid." Beautiful smirked as she pointed her finger like a gun and aimed it at the teen. "Water Bullet!" She called out. Beautiful fired a drop of water out of her finger like a bullet and fired it at Megan's shoulder, Megan's body was able to take the hit causing her skin to just stretch back but it did still cause her some pain. "Back at you old lady!" Megan shouted back. Beautiful was more than a little irritated by the teens comment but kept her cool. Beautiful then formed a water sword onto her hands and charged at Megan, Beautiful swung her blade, Megan dodged by stretching her neck back she then launched her head forward like whip and head butted Beautiful. Beautiful's head exploded into water, she then quickly reformed it and smiled at the teen. Megan then stretched both of her arms back and whipped them forward unleashing powerful punches onto the villianess, forming holes in her torso, Megan repeated this action over and over again unleashing a barrage of punches onto Beautiful when she was done all that was left of Beautiful was a puddle.

Beautiful reformed her body and smiled. "It seems you and I are at a bit of a stalemate or that's what I would say if I didn't have one more trick up my sleeve." Megan threw a stretchy punch at the villainess, Beautiful dodged it and grabbed Megan's arm, Megan's arm began to shrivel up as if it was being drained. "What the hell!" Megan screamed. Megan threw another punch but Beautiful caught it as well and began to drain her even faster. "As you know little girl I'm have complete command over water that means even the water in your body." Megan's body began to dry up even more until she looked like raisins. "You know if it wasn't for your rubber powers that would have probably killed you." Beautiful said with a smirk. "Okay Doc I took care of the kids. What else do you need from me?" She said to her father. "Thank you Beautiful, now if you don't mind please bring the children back to my lab. I need them as bargaining chips." Calamitous ordered her. "Even the one's that bull failed to get?" Beautiful asked. "Yes, them too. And if you don't mind, can you also fish him out of the ocean? We need all the personnel we can get." Beautiful sighed. "Fine, but you gotta hire more men. I'm not your delivery girl." Beautiful morphed her right arm into two tentacles and grabbed the teens.

A little while later Beautiful successfully brought the remaining members of the N-Force and Bull-E back to Calamitous's lab. She put the N-Force members in their own separate cube and left Bull-E on the ground. "There you go." She said to the professor before she sat down on a chair. "Thank you my dear. Alright Neutron, your friends are down and they don't look like they'll get any better. Help me and I will give the little tikes the medical attention they need. Deal." Jamey didn't want to help Calamitous but it was clearly obvious that her friends were in terrible shape. Elky and Brent probably had broken bones, Nate needed to have the water in his lungs removed and Megan really needed to be hydrated. "How do you know you'll keep your word?" Jamey asked. Calamitous pulled out a green ball from his pocket. "This is known as the metabolic rejuvenation ball or heal ball for short. With it I can heal any physical injury. A step up from your healing pod." he smirked. "I'll use this on the metal and magic girl's and I'll have Miss Gorgeous over there fix the damage she has done."

Calamitous flicked the sphere into the remaining N-Force members cube the ball made it to Brent , when it touched her it glowed and and phased into Brent 's body, her body began to glow and all her obvious injuries disappeared. Jamey looked at Nick who nodded to indicate her support. "Alright I'll help you but you have to fix them first." Jamey said. Calamitous nodded and turned to Beautiful Gorgeous, she got up and threw another heal ball at Elky healing her injuries, she then opened up the cube and walked towards Nate and Megan. She placed her hand on Megan's body and rehydrated it, restoring it to its original form. She then placed her hand on Nate's mouth and sucked the water out of Nate's lungs. As soon as the water was out Nate coughed to signify he was breathing again. "We've done our part, Neutron, time to do yours." Calamitous said. Jamey nodded, Calamitous opened up the cube and Jamey stepped through it. Nick didn't dare try an escape while her friends were still at Beautiful Gorgeous's mercy. Jamey walked out of the cube and made it to Calamitous. "Let's go then." Calamitous said before he and Beautiful Gorgeous walked out of the lab. "Beautiful." He said, stopping the villainess. "Heal up Francis and have him guard the kids, don't want them trying anything funny."

"What if he loses again?" Beautiful asked. "Give him the strength enhancing Steroid, that should give him the extra power he needs if such a thing does happen." He told her before leaving with Jamey. "Wake up Dumbass!" Beautiful yelled throwing a heal ball onto Bull-E. She then splashed water on his face to wake him up. Bull-E shot up when he woke up. "What happened!?" he asked as he wiped his face. "You got beaten up by some teenage pansies." Beautiful bluntly answered. Bull-E glared at her snort. "Don't look at me like that. It's not my fault you're so useless. Now guard the kids and try not to mess it up. You've embarrassed us enough." Bull-E remained quiet but kept glaring at the villainess. Beautiful tossed pill at Bull-E which he caught. "Take that if you feel you're going to lose again." She said to him dismissively before she walked out of the lab. "Who does think she is talking to me like that?" Bull-E mumbled to himself. Bull-E walked up to a draw and pulled out air pods and a phone and began to watch something on his phone. Bull-E chuckled to himself. "Ha, stupid monkeys."

While Bull-E was distracted Nick noticed the others beginning to regain consciousness. "My head." Brent Groaned. "That was fun." Megan said as she felt her joints. "This is the second worst hangover I've ever had." Elky groaned as she got up. Nate didn't say a thing, he just coughed a bit as he woke up. "Are you guys okay?" Nick asked. "I've been better." Elky replied. "Where are we?" Nate asked. "In Calamitous's lab. He's taken us captive." Nick explained. "Do you have any plans to get us out of this boss?" Brent asked. "No, no I don't." Nick replied a little disappointed in herself. "What about you, don't you have some kind of spell?" Megan asked Elky. "Right now no. My man's reserves are currently in the red. It will be a while before I can do anything." Elky explained. "Then I guess we're stuck here." Nick collapsed to the ground completely done with the situation. "Jamey's being forced to help the bad guys again because of us. I'm the worst leader."

"Don't say that." Brent Said, trying to console her. "Yeah, you've led us through all sorts of messes." Megan agreed. "Yeah but when it really counted I failed." Nick said in a somber tone. "Nick, Nick, Nick. Didn't I tell you a leader isn't allowed to show their vulnerable side during a mission." Nick turned around and her eyes widened. Jet was sitting layer up against the cube looking completely relaxed. "Well that was for a baseball game but I think the message still works." Jet said with a chuckle. "D-Dad." Nick said, trying to hold in her tears. "Save the tears for later sweety, we still have a job to do. It's time to take Calamitous down." Jet smirked. Jamey was hoping she could figure a way out of this. "If awakenings are real, time to trigger my own." Jamey declared.

Thoth 02:20 AM

The N-Force were trapped in Calamitius's lab. Jet Fusion had just woken and was getting ready to make his next move. "Dad." Nick said, trying to hold back tears. "Save the tears for later, son. It's time to take Calamitous down." Jet smirked. "How are you, okay?" Nick asked. "The shock you gave me set me right. Calamitous installed some kind of mind-controlling tech into my brain when you zapped me; it freed me." Nick hugged her father. "Do you have a plan?" Brent asked. Jet smiled confidently at her and said. "Jet Fusion always has a plan." Jet put his hand in his mouth and yanked out a tooth. "What's that?" Nick asked. "Energy disruptor." Jet answered. Jet threw the tooth at the energy cube and the energy shield disappeared. Bull-E quickly took notice and got into action, he ripped off his air pods and tossed his phone. "I don't know how you losers got free but this is as far as you go." He snarled. Nick charged up his hands with Electricity but Jet put his arm in front of him to stop him. "Let me handle this son. I owe this guy some payback." Bull-E charged at Jet and threw a punch, Jet immediately activated his powers and disabled Bull-E's powers, reverting him back into his human form. "Let's see how well you do without your powers." Francis scowled at him and threw another punch, Jet easily caught it. He then tried to kick Jet but Jet caught his leg. Jet easily lifted Francis into the air and threw him into a wall knocking him out. Jet deactivated his powers and Francis reverted back into his mutant form. "I could get used to this." Jet smirked.

Nick immediately ran to her teammates and tried to free them with her lightning but it failed. "Damn, don't worry guys I'll get you outta there." She yelled. Nick prepared to hit the cube with a bigger blast but again Jet stopped her. "Relax kid. We can disable the cube from the control panel." Jet walked to the control panel and disabled the N-Force's cube. "We're free." Elky cheered. "I was scared we'd never get out." Megan said, relieved.. "No time for celebration guys, we need to go save Neutron." Nick said. "Then let's go!" Nate eagerly said. As the team made their way out of the lab Jet stopped them. "Wait!" He shouted. "What?" Nick replied. "You kids need to take a moment to think things through. You're in enemy territory, you don't know the layout or have any kind of plan. Not to mention you all still have missions to complete." Jet told his daughter not really caring if Jamey was top priority or not. "You can't be serious!" Nick yelled. "You want us to leave our friend at the mercy of that crazy doctor. We can not put her in that position again." Nick looked down at the whisper in her hands that Jamey had given her before they were split up. Think about if she should use it or not. "I am. In our business the mission always comes first. We'll go save Neutron when we're done. Also from what I know about her she can handle it. Trained as a soldier." Jet ordered them in a serious tone. The rest of the team didn't know what to do but Nick wasn't having any of it. "She's a teenage scientist. Not a soldier. Is that why you faked your death?! Because you're a soilder?" Nick stated, with tears in her eyes. Jet looked away from him. "It's not the time to talk about things like that."

"I think it's the perfect time. For months I've been wondering what I was going to say to you and what I was going to ask you but now I have my answer: you never cared about Mom or me." Nick was now full on screaming at her father. "And what about you?" Jet retaliated. "If you cared about your mother you wouldn't be standing here right now." The room went into a dead silence. Jet sighed. "Look sweetie, I know we have a lot to talk about but now really isn't the time. Calamitous is planning to have Neutron right his android code, after that he's planning to transfer his consciousness into it. That gives us at least an hour to steal his data and learn his weaknesses. Saving Neutron is a top priority but he's not the only one." Although she didn't like what she was hearing, Nick decided to go with Jet's plan. "Fine, just tell us what we need to do but if there's a chance that there won't be enough time to take Calamitous's data and save Jamey we're saving Jamey. Understood." Nick was not going to leave her and be the one to explain to Sid why his girlfriend didn't make it home. "Understood." Jet complied. "Alright kids first things first, tell me your skills and abilities."

Calamitous's Workshop

Calamitous and Beautiful Gorgeous brought Jamey to Calamitous workshop where he was keeping his android. As a precaution Calamitous had deactivated Jamey's powers with his own version of the power dampener, the power dampening patch, it was similar in appearance to a nicotine patch with it's circuitry hidden in the cotton of the patch and held with a special adhesive known as ghost gum a substance described as the strongest glue in the world.. "Alright Neutron, here are the specifications I want you to install into Adaptadron." Calamitous said, handing Jamey a paper. Jamey read the paper and got a shock. "This isn't what you wanted to do." Jamey said, holding out the paper to Calmitous. "True, there's been a change of plans. Before I wanted to create a device to counter any mutant no matter what their abilities were but I miscalculated. Unlike normal organisms, Mutants evolve at an extraordinary rate. Even with the scans I got of you and your friends they'd probably become obsolete in a short time so why not get ahead of the curve. Adaptatron's body is completely composed of nano machines and the change in programming wouldn't affect it in the least." Jamey was tight lipped. "Fine." Jamey agreed. Just before Jamey got started Calamitous grabbed her arm. "And remember, try any funny stuff and your friends will suffer." It took her about half an hour to complete Calamitous's code. "I'm done." Jamey stated. "Excellent. Beautiful prepared the transfer device."

"Transfer device?" Jamey questioned. Calamitous grinned. "That's been my goal from the start. As you've noticed I am getting older, and I'll die eventually. This Android will be my salvation and will allow me to live forever." Jamey scowled at the mad professor which made Calamitous smile grow wider. Beautiful Gorgeous hooked the Professor and the Android up to a machine and began typing on its interface. "How long will the transfer take?" Calamitous asked. "About an hour." Beautiful replied. "Excellent." Calamitous smiled. Beautiful began the process, Calamitous fell unconscious as his mind began to transfer into the Android. Jamey, having fulfilled her end of the deal tried to sneak away while Beautiful was distracted but the former agent of Savage had already caught on, without even looking Beautiful fired a dart at Jamey knocking him out. About thirty minutes passed and the transferring process had almost finished. Beautiful was sitting in a chair waiting patiently for Calamitous to wake up when suddenly she felt the building shaking then heard loud explosions. "What the hell!" She shouted.Beautiful went to check the monitor to see if Calamitous's transfer had been interrupted. "Francis you Bull headed idiot, what's going on out there." She tried to communicate with the teenage psychopath but she didn't get an answer. "Shit, those guys probably got out, they could be here any minute." Beautiful was hoping to get an answer but was sorely disappointed when she finally did hear a voice respond. "Or they already are." Jet called out from behind her. Beautiful quickly turned and noticed Jet and the rest of the N-Force standing behind her. "How did you…!?" She asked, confused. "Old tricks of the trade." Jet winked at her with a big smirk on his face. Beautiful scowled at him and tried to use her powers but something prevented her from using them. "You did think I'd let you use your powers."

"I don't need them to take you out." Beautiful retorted and went in with with a high kick to Jet's head, Jet blocked it with his forearm, Beautiful quickly pulled herself back and went in with some quick jabs, Jet again blocked her attack then grabbed her wrists, Beautiful hit Jet in his ribs to free herself, after Beautiful broke free Jet kicked her sending her into a table. Beautiful got back up and mentally admitted that she couldn't beat Jet and had to come up with a plan B and quick. The rest of the N-Force ran into the room. "Dad." Nick called out. "I got the situation under control, make sure Neutron's okay and stop that transfer." Jet ordered them. "Right." Nick agreed. "Nitrous, Miss Stretch go check on Neutron. Everyone else, we're stopping that transfer." Nick was ready to get the last of their team and head home. "Right." The rest of the team agreed. Beautiful knew the situation wasn't good; she was outnumbered and her powers were being blocked. She had only one option left and she knew Calamitous wouldn't like it but she didn't have a choice. She pulled out her dart gun and aimed it at Nick, she fired and Jet got in front of the shot. When Jet went down the N-Force got distracted and she used that opportunity to activate a device to surround Calamitous and the Android in a Perfect Cube. Jet immediately got up and pulled the dart out of his chest. "So that was just a distraction to save your boss."

"Well yes and to even the playing field a bit." Beautiful smirked at him. Jet didn't know what she meant at first but the second he tried to use his powers on her again he knew. "My powers!" Jet exclaimed. "Cure darts. Calamitous will hate to lose an assistant like you but I think he'll let it go when he becomes a god." Beautiful aimed the dart gun at the rest of the team but was stopped by Elky. "Snipe Shot!" she shouted, firing a bullet of energy at Beautiful's gun destroying it. "Well guess we'll have to do this the old fashioned way." Beautiful said as she transformed into her aqua form. Beautiful fired a high pressure stream of water straight at Jet, Megan quickly reacted stretching herself around the agent shielding him from the blast, Nate immediately rushed at Beautiful Gorgeous and unleashed a flurry of high speed punches at her but his attacks were completely ineffective as his fists just passed through her liquid body.

Beautiful seeing an opening morphed her hand into a blade and attempted to slice Nate's head off, Nate dodged her by ducking but Beautiful anticipated this and fired a blast of water out from her chest sending the speedster flying into a wall with enough force to dent it. Beautiful quickly checked a monitor to check on Calamitous's progress, the monitor read 86% complete. "Just a little more." She thought to herself. Beautiful then completely morphed her body into its aqua form and grew about eight times her normal size, she aimed her finger tips at the teens and Jet and began firing a flurry of water bullets at them carefully making sure she didn't damage any of the equipment. "Protectus!" Elky yelled as a pink energy dome surrounded the team. "Guys I don't know how long I can keep this up!" She groaned as Beautiful's unrelenting attacks began to crack her shield. Nick thought for a second then came up with a plan. "Mystique drop the dome and make it more like a shield!" She ordered her. "What!?" Elky questioned. "Just trust me!" Nick yelled. "I don't know if I can do that. I'm still really new to shape manipulation." Elky protested. "Elky, I know how strong you are. I know you can do it." Nick said, trying to reassure her. Elky, still very unsure of herself, did as Nick ordered and reshaped her shield from a dome to more of wall, panting and sweating profusely from the effort. "I knew you could do it!" Nick exclaimed. Nick charged up her lighting and fired a stream of electricity around the shield and hitting Beautiful Gorgeous causing the villainess to shriek in pain and drop to the ground reverting to her normal form. Beautiful, barely able to move, struggling to get back up. Nick smiled at her and said. "Electricity and water sure don't mix well. Tell us how to get rid of that shield or my next blast will be at full power."

Beautiful knew she was in a bind now, she knew she couldn't win as long as Nick was around so she had to come up with another plan. She morphed her body back into water and began to move around the room, Nick fired another lightning but missed. Beautiful rushed to a whistle that fell to the floor because of all the ruckus and blew it immediately but no noise came from it. Nick and the rest of the team found her and Nick trapped her in an electric cage completely paralyzing her. "Okay enough games, tell us how to stop Calamitous now!" Nick ordered her. Beautiful was stuck and at the mercy of her enemies and she was secretly hoping her plan worked. At that moment the N-Force felt the ground shaking beneath their feet. "What's that?" Megan asked. "Nothing good." Brent replied thinking he knew what it was. The shaking persisted Bull-E burst through a wall and unleashed a fierce roar that shook the room. "Great, what's he doing back?" Brent groaned. "I thought you tied him down!" Nate yelled to Elky. "I did. Guess he broke out." She replied. "Help me you idiot!" Beautiful shouted. Bull-E looked and saw the situation his coworker was in. He glared at the teens and went into action.

Bull-E charged at the group like a raging bull forcing the team to scatter, Nick tried to knock Bull-E out with a blast of lightning, the Villain took the hit and seemed barely stunned by the attack he roared and charged towards Nick. Brent quickly armored himself up and jumped in front of Nick to block Bull-E's oncoming attack but was surprised that the Bull headed teen was actually a lot smarter than she thought, while Brent got in the way Bull-E grabbed him arm and threw her at Megan sending both teens threw a wall, he then launched a punch at Nick but Nick was saved by Nate quickly moving him away at super speed. Beautiful, using the chaos of the situation quickly liquified herself to escape. "You okay?" Nate asked. "I'll live." Nick replied. Beautiful reshaped herself right next to Bull-E. "You're looking shocked." Bull-E joked. "Shut it, farm animal." She replied by swallowing one of Calamitous's Heal Balls fixing all her injuries, she then tossed Bull-E a pill box. Bull-E looked shocked at what she threw at him "Wait are these!?" Beautiful nodded. "Yeah, we're gonna need a boost. The Old man's almost done, we just need to hold them off a little longer."

"Understood." Bull-E agreed before both turned their attention to the team. "Uh, Boss this isn't good." Nate said to Nick. "I know." Nick replied while turning his head to Jamey's unconscious body. "We're going to need some help." Nick pointed her finger at Jamey and fired a jolt of electricity that woke the girl genius up immediately. "Whathca!" Jamey blurted out as she shot back up to life. Bull-E charged straight for the teens, Jamey barely had any time to get her bearings in order before she saw the raging beast charging at them. "Hulk!" Jamey shouted she instantly changed into Hulk and got tackled by the beast through a wall. While everyone was distracted, Beautiful pulled out another pill box and ate a navy blue pill, her eyes glowed for a second before going back to normal.

After Hulk and Bull-E left the remaining N-Force members turned their attention to Beautiful. "You sure you don't wanna give up." Nick asked while charging her hands with electricity. "Take your best shot kid." Beautiful smirked. Nick fired a bolt of lightning at the villainess, Beautiful raised her finger and absorbed the electricity leaving the group stunned. "How did you!?" Nick was shocked (pun intended). "Wouldn't you like to know." Beautiful said as her smile grew larger and fired her own lightning at the teenagers. Nick managed to shield the others by taking the hit herself. Nate grabbed and threw whatever he could find at Beautiful but the villainess transformed her body into pure electricity and everything passed through her. She turned her attention to Elky and launched herself at her. Nate moved towards Elky as fast as he could and just managed to push her out of the way while he took the hit. "Nitro!" Nick cried out.

Before anyone could help Nate Beautiful began firing a barrage of lightning bolts at the teens forcing them to take cover. "What's wrong you little bastards, where's that confidence you had earlier!" The villainess shouted. "Right here!" Beautiful, still in her lightning form, turned around and was struck in the face by Megan knocking her hard into a wall reverting her back into her normal form. "How the hell did you do that!?" Beautiful asked while rubbing her chin. "I'm made of rubber." Megan bluntly answered. "Shit!" Beautiful said. Megan launched her arm at Beautiful like a rocket, Beautiful just managed to dodge her but she was almost caught off guard by Nick who had charged up her fist with lightning, Beautiful ducked to dodge her she then kicked her to send her back before she knew it Megan used the arm that missed to sling herself forward and rocket herself towards Beautiful and giving her a powerful gut punch which forced Beautiful into the wall with enough force to crack it, before Beautiful could recover Megan grabbed her neck and launched her with her elastic powers into another wall, Beautiful tried to break free by changing into lightning but Megan's rubber body prevented her from escaping but as soon as she hit the wall her body dissipated allowing her to get away from Megan.

"I need to change my strategy." Beautiful said to herself. Beautiful brought out the pill box again and ate a red pill which Elky noticed. Beautiful's body began to steam before she unleashed a wave of fire on them. "Crashing Waves!" Elky shouted before unleashing a wave of water from her hand colliding with the flames which caused a burst of steam to envelope the room. The computer monitoring Professor Calamitou's transfer read 91% until completion. Bull-E was still tackling Hulk through walls until the monster finally had enough, Hulk put his feet on the ground and stopped Bull-E dead in his tracks. "That's enough of that!" Hulk said before he effortlessly tossed Bull-E aside. Bull-E got up and smiled. "I've been looking forward to taking you on Hulk."

"Trust me only one of us is going to enjoy this." Hulk smirked back at him. Bull-E charged at Hulk and prepared to throw a punch at the beast, Hulk didn't even give him a chance to attack, Hulk punched Bull-E hard enough to sending flying up the ceiling, Hulk leaped into the air to follow him, Hulk caught up to him and grabbed his leg and threw Bull-E back down sending him to the lower levels of the base. Bull-E leaped back up and met with Hulk again he threw several punches that barely made Hulk flinch, Hulk smirked and slapped Bull-E through a wall when Hulk caught up she kicked Bull-E up knocked him back into the ground before he got to high, picked him up over his slammed him head first into the ground, before Bull-E could get up Hulk kicked Bull-E with his head still stuck in the ground back into the room the fight started in.

Bull-E got back up and was visibly stunned by how powerless he seemed in front of Hulk. "He can't be this strong! He just can't!" Bull-E thought to himself. "Hey are you dead! You better not be! I've barely warmed up!" Bull-E could hear Hulk walking back to him and was terrified, he knew Hulk was far stronger than he was and was weighing his options. He knew running or begging for his life were not options so he pulled out the pill box Beautiful gave him earlier, opened it and ate the dozens of pills that were in it in one gulp. "You better not have run away." When Hulk finally made it he saw Bull-E glowing a blood red color. "What's going on with you?" Hulk asked, barely interested. Bull-E's eyes turned red and his brown fur changed into pure white, he grew about five times larger and his horns grew longer and turned from white to black. "I just ingested energy steroids. Just one of these increases my power tenfold, I just ate a hundred. There's no way you could stop me now!" He roared. Hulk just smirked. "Good, now I don't have to hold back."

Bull-E charged at Hulk again and like before Hulk punched him into the the air through the ceiling but this time it was even harder than before and sent Bull-E flying out of the base, Hulk leaped back into the air caught up to Bull-E grabbed his head and held it down as they both plummeted to the ground slamming Bull-E's head into the ground. Bull-E got back up and tried to stab Hulk with his horns, Hulk grabbed them easily broke them off as if they were twigs, tossed them aside, quickly gave Bull-E a uppercut in his jaw, slugged him on his right side which sent the bull mutant back, grabbed his leg before he got to far and slammed him into the ground hard enough for the villain to dent the floor and bounce off of it, while Bull-E was still mid air Hulk unleashed one last powerful punch on the teen, sending him through several wall and back into the forest impacting the ground with enough force to cause a massive shockwave that decimated the forest leaving a massive crater in his wake. Bull-E got back up and looked like a wounded animal, broken and sad. Hulk leaped and landed right in front of the villain. Bull-E looked up and had practically accepted his fate. "Did I even stand a chance?" Bull-E asked."In all honesty no." Hulk bluntly answered. "But you do have great potential, in time you could've given me a great fight. Take pride in that." Hulk told him. "Sorry I couldn't give you the fight you wanted." Bull-E apologized. "Don't be. In terms of the opponents I've faced, you're in the top five." Hulk reassured him. Bull-E began to tear up and smile and accepted his fate with pride. Hulk grabbed Bull-E's head and ripped it clean off his shoulders, killing him.

Jamey: Now that you're done having your fun let's get back to the others.

"Right." Hulk agreed.

Back in Calamitous's lab the steam had been cleared up, Elky was shielding everyone from Beautiful's fire attacks. "This is insane! She keeps switching between elements!" Nick shouted. "She's using that pill box to switch!" Elky told her while she struggled to keep her shield up. "We need a plan boss!" Brent said. Nick thought for a moment. "Nate do you think you got anything left in the tank?" Nate, still feeling pain from being electrocuted, got back up. "Well I guess, what do you need me to do?" Nate asked. "Phase through the ground, run back in here and grab all her pills." Nick ordered. "Got it." Nate agreed. Nate vibrated his molecules and phased through the ground. "Elky drop the shield, Brent get ready to take the hit. Everyone else fire any long range attacks you have."

"Right!" The rest of the girls agreed. Elky expanded her shield before dissipating it forcing Beautiful back, Beautiful shot a fireball at the group, Brent got ahead and shielded her friends from the blast, Nick, Megan and Elky then fired a bolt of lightning, a wave of water and a fast moving stretched out punch. Beautiful dodged the lightning, popped another pill changing back into her water form, absorbed the water attack and let the stretchy punch go right through her. Beautiful reverted back into her normal form. While she was distracted Nate zipped passed her and stole all her pill boxes. "Ready to give up." Beautiful gloated.

Nick charged up her hand with electricity. "Not really seeing that you're back to being made of water and all." Nick replied. "I can change that in a second." Beautiful replied. She then began to reach behind her back but found nothing. "That the.." She thought to herself as she began to panic. "Looking for these." Nate showed Beautiful the pill boxes he stole from her. "Shit!" Beautiful said. Beautiful changed into her water form, nick fired a lightning bolt but Beautiful just managed to dodge it but got nicked as she escaped, escaping through a crack in the wall. "After her!" Nick ordered her team. "Hold it." Jet called out to the kids before they ran out. "Let her go, we'll get her later. Stopping Calamitous takes priority."

"Right." Nick agreed as the group made it to the energy cube. "What do we do?" Megan asked. "Hit it with everything you got!" Nick ordered them as she charged herself with electricity. Nick fired a powerful bolt of lightning, Elky fired a fireball, Nate spun his arms creating a blast of wind, Megan threw a speedy stretchy punch and Brent punched the cube in her new steel form. When the team was done the cube was still intact. "Damn not even a scratch." Brent complained. "We need something with more of a punch." Jet said. "Did somebody say punch." Hulk walked into the room. "Hulk quick smash the barrier!" Nick shouted. "Okay." Hulk casually agreed. Hulk prepared to strike the cube but was stopped.

Jamey: Hulk, wait!

"What is it?"

Jamey: Let Oc take over. She's better for situations like these.

Oc: Yeah Hulky, brutes like you would only cause a mess.

Hulk loudly groaned before switching into Oc. "Hey y'all." She happily cheered. "Don't worry I'll handle this." Oc touched the cube and absorbed all its energy dissipating it. "Let's shut it down." Jet ordered the teens. "I don't think that will be necessary." The android's body rose and everyone took a step back. Calamitous began to move his body trying to get used to it. "Everything seems to be working in order. But I will need to test things out." The android's eyes began and it fired heat vision at the team. "Protectus!" Elky shouted, creating an energy dome to shield her friends.

Jamey: Oc switch with me.

Oc transformed back into Jamey. "Please tell me you know what's going on?" Nick asked Jamey. "That android body Calamitous has, has scanned every known mutant and he can use all their powers." "So like what Savage did." Nate said. "Yeah but worse. He's not limited to how many mutants he can scan and he can update whatever he scanned before if the mutant gets more powerful." Jamey worriedly explained. "So in other words we're fucked." Megan said. "Guys I can't hold this any longer!" Elky groaned. "So what's the plan Neutron?" Nick asked. "Nate, as soon as Elky drops the shield, get Jet to safety and take him to the rendezvous." Everyone nodded towards her. "Right." Nate agreed. "I'm not leaving." Jet argued. "I'm sorry Jet but right now you're a normal human and normal humans don't live very long in fights like this." Despite what he wanted Jet agreed. "Fine, but don't die, okay."

"We'll try." Nick smiled trying to reassure her father. "Don't try. Remember we still need to talk." Jet replied. In a split second Calamitous broke through the shield, Nate grabbed Jet raced out of the lab and returned. "Damn, that was almost as fast as your brother." Brent commented. "Thanks I try." Nick ran towards the girl genius. "Hey Jamey, I don't remember you telling us a plan." Nick commented as she charged up electricity. "Hit him… Hard." Jamey said as she transformed into Hulk. "World's smartest woman, ladies, and gentleman. If we're going out, we might as well do it with style. Lightning Strike!" Nick fired a bolt of lightning at Calamitous.

Calamitous with a smug grin on his face caught the bolt and shaped it into a ball. "Flame Orb!" Elky shouted as she threw a massive ball of fire. Calamitous still with the smug look caught the ball of fire. "Thanks for the gifts kids. But I already have lightning and fire at home. Here, take them back!" Calamitous combined the two orbs into one and tossed the fusion at the teens creating a massive explosion. Hulk leaped into the air "Hulk Smash!" Calamitous used his telekinetic power to accelerate Hulk's downward movement and sent him through the floor. "More like Hulk Crash!" Calamitous mocked Hulk. "Whip punch!" Megan stretched her arm back and sling shot it forward at a fast pace. "Mach Punch!" Nate shouted charging at Calamitous at super fast speed. Calamitous without looking effortlessly caught both their punches. Megan and Nate struggled to free themselves, Nate even tried to phase out of Calamitous's grip but the professor just phased his hand at the same time keeping Nate in place. Brent armored up and charged straight for the villain. "You kids have been shouting out attacks like you in some anime. I want to try. How about Sound Bomb!" Calamitous created a massive shockwave that blasted everyone back, knocking out Megan, Nate and Brent.

Nick fired another lightning bolt at Calamitous, the villain took the blast and didn't even flinch. "What the…" Nick said shocked. "What did you expect? I have the combined durability of Special girl, Hulk, Bull-E and Steel plus your electricity manipulation" You didn't expect to actually hurt me right." Nick smirked. "No but I do make a great distraction." Calamitous then noticed that Elky had gone missing. "Where's the magic girl?" He asked Nick. "Right here!" Elky shouted with her body glowing with a pink aura, "Shining moon feeds me with your bright light. Give me the power to destroy my enemies in my sight. Grant me power so great and vast so I can unleash Moon Blast!" Elky fired a massive wave of energy at Calamitous that actually sent him flying back through several walls. "Did that do it?" Nick asked. "I hope so because I'm out of magic." Elky panted. Calamitous walked back into the room casually.

"Well that was an interesting attack. It might've even damaged me if I didn't absorb it. After I'm done here I'm definitely going to do some research into magic." Calamitous used super speed to quickly knock out the duo. "Now what should I do with these kids? Do I kill them, do I use them for experiments, or do both. I wonder where Beautiful Gorgeous and Francis are. Considering that neither of them were in the room when I woke they're either dead or ran either way they're of no use to me anymore so it doesn't matter. Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something." Hulk's roars echoed around the base as she leaped out of the ground and glared at Calamitous in fury. "Oh right, her." Calamitous said, barely reacting to Hulk's presence. Hulk charged at Calamitous and threw a punch, Calamitous interrupted Hulk's momentum by moving her forward faster and dodging Hulk's attack, sending the beast into a wall. Calamitous then lifted Hulk up telekinetically. "Doesn't really matter how strong you are if you don't have leverage." Hulk tried to use a thunderclap but Calamitous blocked it with his sound powers.

Jamey: Hulk switch out!"

Hulk transformed into Baby and the self proclaimed demon unleashed a wave of acid on Calamitous but the android came out without a scratch. "Inferno's flame resistance really comes in handy." Calamitous telekinetically threw Baby into a wall, Oc came flying out of it. She fired an energy blast that Calamitous absorbed. "You can't fight me either my dear Oc, I have your powers plus I'm not reliant on energy to get stronger." Calamitous kicked Oc into the ground and Mercy stretched his arms out with his hands shaped like maces. Calamitous stretched his arms out to catch both maces. "You're new but I have a feeling you're not a fan of electricity." Calamitous unleashed a powerful charge of electricity on Mercy which caused the alter intense pain forcing him back to Jamey. She dropped into the ground and Calamitous looked down on her. "Are you ready to give up Neutron? Your alternate personalities are powerful but none of them are a match for me." Jamey was crouched down on the ground almost defeated, desperately trying to think of a way out of this situation, she thought and she thought until she remembered Bret 's fight. "If none of my alters are strong enough to stop you then I'll use all of them." Jamey said to herself. "What?" Calamitous questioned. "If awakens are real I'll just have to trigger my own." Jamey declared as her eyes turned red.

Hulk: Jamey what are you doing?

The alters in Jamey's mind felt a power over them.

Oc: What's going on!?

Mercy: It feels like he's taking control of us!

Baby: Everything's going dark!

A power glow surrounded Jamey's body, but other than that Jamey did not feel too different but knew something was new and like that she was able to tell what the older man was thinking. Jamey charged at Calamitous, Calamitous tried to stop her with his telekinesis but thanks to Oc's ability to fly and new telekinesis gave Jamey enough force to resist Calamitous and charge through. Jamey tackled Calamitous back into the forest. Calamitous blasted Jamey off of him using a sound blast which sent Jamey flying back, she stretched out her arms to connect to all the technology around the room as if she could speek to it. She sent this power towards Calamitous unleashing a powerful punch that created a massive crater, before Jamey could give him another punch Calamitous kicked her back, Calamitous fired his heat vision at Jamey, who absorbed the shot and punched Calamitous again with an energy enhanced fist which sent him flying to the other side of the island. Calamitous let out an excited smile. "She's a lot tougher than I originally thought I might have to do something big." As Jamey was flying towards Calamitous the villain unleashed a powerful attack that consisted of Force's Telekinetic blast, Carl's sonic blast, Inferno's flames, and Nick's lightning. The blast was so powerful it reduced the luscious forest in front of Calamitous into nothing more than a desert. Jet, who was lucky enough to be on the other side of the island, felt the ground shake and the earth split. Jamey took the hit and was sent flying and hit the ground hard enough to make a massive crater. Calamitous flew to Jamey and remained overhead to see her next move.

Jamey stood up and screamed loudly she could feel a massive ringing in her head stronger than anything she had ever felt before. Calamitous prepared for another attack but stopped as Jamey and passed out. Calamitous's face went dead serious. "I need to kill this girl now. That mutation of her is far more powerful than I ever imagined. I couldn't even scan her, that DNA was in such flux. If her powers evolved any further it could become a problem for me." Calamitous charged up one of Oc's energy beams and fired it at Jamey's unconscious body. Jamey's right index finger began to glow, Jamey's body quickly reacted and redirected the energy back at Calamitous's head which sent the professor back. "What the…!?" Calamitous said, shocked. Jamey's body stood back up. "You woke me up." Jamey said with a vicous grin. "Who are you?" Calamitous asked. "Me, no one important." Jamey's body said while scratching her head with Calamitous's left arm. Calamitous looked at Jamey's body, shocked he checked for his arm and was extremely stunned by what just happened. He had Special Guy and Flash's ability to accelerate their brains, plus the combined durability of Special Guy, Steel, Hulk, Baby, Oc, Bull-E, and the elastic bodies of Mercy and Miss Stretch. And somehow whoever this was bypassed all his defenses, "How… How did you do that!"

"I dunno, just felt like it." Jamey's body groggily replied. Jamey's body finally opened hrt eyes revealing they had remained a deep crimson red color. "Guess if I'm out I might as well have some fun." Jamey's body said as her body began to become paler, almost a sickly grey and her hair changed into a raven black. "You must be a new alter. Who are you?" Calamitous asked, trying to get more information out of this new being. "Your executioner." The new Alter smirked. The alters right ring finger began to glow, she then disappeared and reappeared instantly behind Calamitous, her right pinky finger began to glow and the new Alter lightly tapped Calamitous's shoulder and Calamitous was sent crashing down into the earth and hit it hard enough to make a deep crater. The Alter landed on the ground and waited for Calamitous to pop back up. He felt the ground shake and her left index finger began to glow. Calamitous shot out of the ground at an incredible speed, the alter just gave him a confident smirk. "Who is this girl? Shee moves faster and hits harder than any recorded mutant. I can't even scan her. What the hell is going on?" Calamites said to himself. "Your cybernetic brain must be hurting from trying to figure me out. You could just ask me. I don't mind telling." The Alter mocked him. This really irritated Calamitous he was done thinking about this new Alter of Jamey's he's just going to dispose of her. Calamitous fired another fusion attack at the Alter that devastated the land on the island, the new Alter's right index finger glowed again and with a simple back wave he sent the blast back at Calamitous. The destruction from the blast was big enough to destroy a chunk of the island, when things calmed down Calamitous could be seen lying on the ground with his android body heavily damaged. "This can't be happening." Calamitous said to himself.

Suddenly Calamitous felt a weight on his back. "Aren't I glad this isn't my island." The Alter said, sitting on top of Calamitous while making a pose like the thinker. "I wonder how you're going to explain this to your insurance. Can you even insure an island? Life has many wonderful questions." A furious Calamitous tossed the Alter off of his back and threw a powerful punch at her, the Alter's right pinky glowed again and he took the punch and didn't move an inch or flinch. "Okay, okay. If it's such a sore spot for you I'll take the blame for the damages." She said with a laissez faire attitude. "But." The Alter reached out and broke through Calamitous's chest plate and took out a red orb. "I will need some collateral to make sure you pay me back." The Alter then began walking away with the orb still in her hand. "And what do we have here? A Xenuthium core. Wow, didn't I ever see one of these. Weren't they band because of how unstable the cores can be." She said starting to giggle. "You fool! You'll destroy us all if that core explodes!" Calamitous shouted. "Really!? It'll explode!? Let's see what that looks like!" The Altar said in a playful tone licking the top row of her teeth. The orb began to glow brighter and brighter by the second, the Alter's left pinky began to glow. Calamitous braced himself for the blast, as soon as the core exploded it wasn't a large explosion like Calamitous was expecting, instead it was a tiny poof like a dud firework. "You liar, I thought you said it was going to explode. What a disappointment." The altar faked a pout.

Calamitous was left frozen from shock he had no idea what was happening anymore the only thing he did know was the being in front of him was dangerous and psychotic and he needed to get away as fast as possible but he couldn't the core powered his android body and without it he was running on reserves and he couldn't use any of the powers he had accumulated. "Anyway, I think we're done here. That body of yours will shut down soon and I wonder what will happen to you. Will you just fall asleep, will you die. I'm so curious to see what happens but I have another idea." The Alter's right middle finger began to glow, she put her hand on Calamitous's head and Calamitous felt a power come over him, it was like he was leaving his own body. A blue aura followed the Alter's hand and formed into a ball. "What happened to me!?" Calamitous exclaimed with a panicked voice. "Don't worry your little head doctor, I just pulled out your soul." She said with a sinister grin. "What!?"

"Now what should I do to you? Consume your soul and assimilate it into mine and erase you from existence. No, I wouldn't want some old codger inside me. Just let you go to the afterlife. No, that's not fun at all. Oh I know." The Alter said excitedly. The Alter's left ring finger glowed and a portal formed in front of her, she stepped through it with Calamitous's soul still in her hand and returned to the lab. The Alter walked to Calamitous's body, her right middle finger glowed again and he put Calamitous's soul back in his body. "How did you… What did you…" Calamitous could barely form any words. "Explaining the concept of the soul to you would take too long and I don't have much time left."

"What do you want from me?" Calamitous asked. The Alter's left middle finger glowed and she touched Calamitous and morphed him from an old man in his seventies to a man in his mid thirties. "Why did you…!?" Calamitous shut up as he saw that the playfulness was gone from the women before him. "You were an old man on death's door. For what I need from you I need you to be nice and healthy." She said as she eyed him. The look reminded Calamitous of a predator looking at their prey. So what did that make him? "Again, what do you want from me?" He asked not even trying to hide his fear. The Alter's left ring finger glowed and another portal formed. "This portal will take you to Savage. I want you to help him with whatever plan he has." The woman ordered. "Why would I do that? I don't work under anyone." The Alter's face went serious as if the slightest irritation would cause her to kill Calamitous which the scientist noticed. "You're going to start now. I need Savage to have the highest chance of success."

"Why?" He asked, still not understanding the woman's motives. "Because his success is Jamey's pain and I need Jamey to fall into despair." She said simply. "Again why. I thought you alters live to serve her." The Alter let out a chuckle, "We alters are all fragmented parts of Jamey's psyche. Hulk is her anger, Baby is her fear, Oc is her pain, Mercy is her survival instinct but me I'm different. My name is Shirley and I am the personification of Jamey's Neutron's hatred." An Ominous dark aura enveloped Shirley, Calamitous didn't know if the aura was real or not all he knew was it left him utterly terrified. "And there is only one thing I want. Destruction." he said in an almost excited tone, "And to get that I need Jamey's hatred to grow and Savage is his trigger. Right now Savage's team is currently weaker than Neutron's. The scales need to be tipped back in their favor and that's where you come in. Help Savage destroy the N-Men." Calamitous was now very fearful of this woman and dared not challenge her but he still needed to know her motives to the fullest extent. "Why would you go so far?" Shirley knelt down to look the short man in the eyes. This sent a chill down the older man's spine. "Simple I could kill you and everyone on this island and back in Retroville but that won't get me the result I want. Jamey has to be brought to the edge of despair before I take over otherwise the other alters will just stop me again. So go to Savage and help him. Or do I need to give you more incentive?"

"Just one last question. Why would you take such a risk, if Savage and I join forces we may be able to kill you." Shirley kept her smile. "Games are more fun when they're unpredictable." Calamitous didn't want to follow Shirley's orders but he knew he didn't have any choice; he needed to destroy this monster before it became too powerful. "Fine. I'll do it." Shirely just smiled. "And remember this Calamitous. You tell anyone about meeting me. I'll consume your soul." Calamitous, without looking at Shirley, walked through the portal and disappeared. Shirley's face turned very serious. "Time's almost up. Better get back into place." Shirley opened another portal and made it back to the empty husk of the android. "This should be enough evidence to prove they won." Shirley collapsed to the ground and changed back into Jamey. "Uh… What happened?" Jamey groaned. Jamey looked on at the absolute carnage that surrounded the destroyed island. "What happened here? Is everyone still there?"

Hulk: I'm here.

Baby: So am I.

Oc: I'm fine.

Mercy: Here.

"Does anyone remember what happened?" Jamey asked.

Hulk: No.

Baby: Not I

Oc: Same here.

Mercy: Same.

Jamey then looked at the destroyed android. "I guess we beat him. But… Why doesn't it feel right?" Jamey was about to dwell on his feelings until she heard helicopters flying towards the island. "I guess Jet called the agency. Let's go check on the others."

Back on the beach Jet was eagerly waiting for Baker's reinforcements when suddenly he heard a voice. "I guess it's all over." Beautiful said as she formed in front of Jet. "I guess so. Those kids are something else." The woman just nodded. "Wish there were people like them when I was growing up." Beautiful lamented. "So what are you going to do now?" Jet asked. "I don't know." Beautiful shrugged. "You could come with us. The agency could use someone with your skills." Beautiful smirked. "It's too late for me to be a good guy now." Beautiful said almost regretfully. "It's never too late, especially when you're a woman as incredible as yourself." Jet begged letting his true feelings be brieflfy shown. "Always the flatterer Jet Fusion." Lustfully eyeing the man. "I do my best." As he did his best not to blush. "I'll be seeing you around Jet." Beautiful tried to morph back into water but couldn't. She turned to see Jet using his powers to negate her powers. "Guess those cures of yours need more testing." Beautiful smiled accepting her fate.

BTSO HQ, Med Bay, 08:40

After everything that happened on the island the N-Force were taken back to BTSO HQ for medical care, and rest. Thankfully no one was seriously injured by Calamitous. Nick suffered a broken wrist, Megan and Nate because of his accelerated healing factor and her elastic body were fine, Brent was resting after getting a concussion, and Elky had two broken fingers. Jamey came to visit her friends and brought a big tray full of food from the cafeteria. "Hey guys hope you're all okay." As she sat down next to everyone. "We'll live." Nate said, taking three slices of pizza from Jamey's tray. "My first big mission and all I got was a couple of broken fingers. I see this as an absolute win." Elky said, while taking both the pudding and jello from Jamey's tray. "J-Man!" Nate shouted, super speeding towards the girl genius and taking five mini burgers off of the tray. "Thanks for the food." Megan stretched her arm and grabbed the salad. "Yeah." Megan was excited to eat after all of this. "I don't know why you still exclusively eat salads. Even if you gain weight you can just stretch yourself back to being skinny." Nate said, teasing Megan. "Hey, I really like salads."

"Where's Jet?" Jamey asked. "The so-called world's greatest spy is having his brain checked for any additional brainwashing." Nick answered. "What about you?" Elky asked. "Hulk's super regeneration heals me 100%. I could even lose an arm or my head and I'll be fine." That caused everyone to pause for a moment to try to comprehend what they just heard. "So what did you need Neutron?" Nick asked. "Well since you found Jet. I wanted to ask you guys whether or not you wanted to join the team." Jamey asked casually. "Really!?" Nick asked, a bit surprised. "Why?" Megan asked. "Our enemies are getting stronger and all of us being split up isn't really helping. If I wasn't there you guys would've died, if you guys weren't there when we faced Savage the N-Men would've died. It's clear we're all stronger together." The N-Force took a moment to think about what Jamey had asked them but before they could say anything Commander Baker walked in. "I think that's a great idea." He said. "Baker." Jamey said, a little surprised. "I think you kids should take Neutron's offer."

"Why." Nick asked. "We have reason to believe Calamitous isn't dead." Everyone was shocked by this news. Mostly Jamey, she had thought she killed him. "What did you learn?" Jamey asked. "We inspected the android's brain and there was nothing there, and our team that's investigating the island failed to find Calamitous's body or any remains." Something just hasn't felt right to Jamey since she blacked out while fighting Calamitous. "So somehow he escaped." Jamey said. "But we'll talk about that later. Jamey, I need to speak to you in private." Commander Baker brought Jamey into his office. "So what did you need from me?" Jamey asked. "I'm giving you this." Baker said, handing Jamey a hard drive. "What's this?" She looked at the drive Baker just handed to her. "That's the data we collected from Calamitous. I want you to have it."

"I thought you'd give this to your superiors?" Jamey asked. "The things in there are too dangerous to tell them about. After all you know as well as I do how they can be." Jamey's jaw tightened. "You're right about that. So what are you going to tell them?" Jamey asked. "Don't worry about me, I know how to handle those old fossils." Baker smirked. Jamey finally looked up at Baker, still unsure about this. "If you're sure." Jamey said, putting the drive in her pocket. "There's just one thing in Agent Fusion's report: how the android was defeated was left pretty vague." Baker asked. "I don't know myself, I triggered an awakening which caused me to merge with all of my alters, we fought for a bit then Calamitous hit us with some big attack and everything went dark after that." Jamey said feeling disappointed that she was no closer to finding an answer to what happened. "Is that so?" Baker said a bit intrigued. "Yeah, none of us remember what happened." Jamey said, still feeling a bit out of it. "Well I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. I'll send you kids back to Retroville at around lunch so rest up you did a great job."

"Thanks." Jamey replied as she left Baker's office and didn't want to admit that ever since he fought Calamitous he felt different as if something inside of him had been awoken. He wondered if the last altar had popped up but he only felt the four he had before. He decided to rest to see if he felt better later. Back in the Med Bay Jet came to check on the kids. "I see all of you are in bright spirits." He commented. "Dad. How did the test go?" Nick asked. "The eggheads said I'm clean." Jet said laughing slightly. Jamey entered back into the room. "I resent that." Jamey said with a smile of her own. Nick couldn't help but laugh too. "Sorry. I should be back in active duty in a few days." Jet said, looking back at his daughter. "So you're not coming with us." Nick said with an air of disappointment in her voice. The rest of the team took that as que to leave except Brent who was still sleeping. "I can't come back, Nick." Jet said in his professional agent voice. "Why?" Nick asked bitterly. "Sixteen years ago I was assigned to Retroville on a mission to take out… Well that doesn't matter now. I completed my mission and an extraction was being planned for me. When the Neutron Chamber exploded that provided me with perfect means of leaving." Nick was a bit disappointed but she needed to know more. "So tell me. We're Mom and I a lie, were we just a part of your cover." Jamey could barely look Jet in the eyes. How could he do that to his own daughter? What she would give just to see her father one more time. "In all honesty no. In fact the organization almost assassinated me for getting involved with Theresa but I didn't care. I loved you both so much I risked it. But when I was called back I had to make a choice: fake my death so you both could live peaceful lives or bring you into the fold. And I couldn't do that. This life was my choice and I couldn't just uproot your lives like that."

"I see." Nick said, trying to process the information. "I understand if you hate me. What I did was selfish." Jet continued. "I don't hate you. But I won't lie. I am fighting the urge to punch you in the face." Jamey was feeling that same thing on Nick's behalf. "Understandable." Jet said. "But I get it. After everything I've been through these last couple of months I understand why you did what you did. The world is a lot more fucked up than people want to admit and it needs people like you to protect it." Nick said trying to be supportive, but her heart wasn't in it. "Thanks sweetie." Jet said. "Can I just ask you for one thing?" Nicked asked her father. "What?" Jet said back. "Can I tell Mom you're alive? I'm sure she'll keep your secret." Nick asked hopefully. "Sorry Nick but no. Your mother deserves to move on with her life. She shouldn't spend it waiting for a spy like me. It's best if she thinks I'm dead." Nick really hated her father, but she also loved him too. "Fine. Can I at least see you again?" Jet thought about it for a second and smiled. "Sure but I'll call you." Nick raised her arm and father and daughter hugged each other.

Retroville, After Calamitous was sent through the portal, Summertime Bar

Savage and his minions were still trying to concoct a way to safely make mutants stronger. An explosion happened inside Martha's lab and Savage, Martha and Miss T left it completely dissatisfied with whatever results they got. "Another failure!" Savage shouted. "It's not my fault you daughter can't keep up with my power." Miss T said. "I ran the calculations. I don't know what went wrong." Martha said, unsure of her work. "We need to power ourselves up. The N-Men are getting stronger everyday." Savage said angerily at his only child who still stuck with him. "I'm sorry Dad I just don't know." At that moment Shirley's portal opened and Calamitous opened it. Miss T got ready to attack. "Savage." He called out. It took a minute for Savage to recognize the young Calamitous but he remembered him from old newspapers he read long ago. "Finbarr Calamitous. You're looking young for your age. What's your secret?" Savage said wondering how a man on the verge of death can suddenly look young again. "I'm not here for pleasantries, Savage. I came here to help you." Calamitous said seriously. "Help me why? You've never been the team player type." Savage asked. "I'm not. But I need your help to kill that girl." Calamitous said to the older man. "Which girl?" Savage asked. "Jamey Neutron!" Calamitous said with pure hatred in his heart. Savage smiled and laughed. "Well I think you and I have some things to talk about."

Jamey's Mind, Shirley's Room

Shirley sat in a chair patiently waiting for something. "Just a little longer, Jamey. Just a little longer. And we'll be able to destroy everything together."

Ok so with this chapter and the next we are caught back up with Cartoonace. I can not wait for the following chapter but I do not want to give too much away at this time. I am going to keep this short for Jamey's final alter I wanted to combine Jimmy's evil twin and the Evil Super Villian from the Third Power Hour episode hence the name Shirely. As for Jamey's powers I wanted to show how her genius has grown at such an exponicial rate due to the radiation she was exposed to during the explosion. I wanted to make her like Phenoix from the X-Men. That's all I am gonna write for now. I do hope to get three more chapters out at least after this next one.
