A few days later at Camp Half-Blood, David, who was surrounded by some kids, could only sigh.
"Come on, David, help us so we can buy some games for our cabin…"
Clarisse hit the boy to shut him up. "Better buy another batch of military supplies, David. Our cabin needs them."
David stroked his nose before looking at all the kids surrounding him. "Make a list of what you want and give it to Gudaku. Remember not to forget anything, since it's a pain to make small purchases all the time."
With those words, the kids went to bother Gudaku, who was resting on the beach. When everyone left, David took out a cigar, which was lit by Locusta, who had been silently by his side the whole time.
"You know, Locusta, aside from the fact that we're among demigods in a place guarded by gods, I think this is a good vacation."
Davis put his feet up on the table and relaxed as he smoked. "Although I feel like I was robbed of the opportunity to buy a cheap, greasy pepperoni pizza, damn delicious pizza…"
His words were interrupted when a red-haired girl took the cigar from him. "You know David Claudius Nero Martinez it's not good for a child to smoke a cigar."
David looked at the goddess with a fake smile. "Come on Aunt Hestia, I'm going to be the father of 4 different women, I've fought in wars and my only vices are smoking, sex and drinking alcohol.
I think I deserve to have a good cigar from time to time, besides I'm practically immortal among the mortal world, my lungs will recover quickly and even if I eat dirt I can digest it.
Why don't you come with me and we'll smoke a cigar while we talk."
Hestia looked at him for a moment before taking the box of cigars from Locusta, when she was about to leave David sighed but not before looking at her like a scolded child. "At least I can have a huge, greasy pepperoni pizza with ketchup."
As he finished saying those words, a pizza with those characteristics was on the table, so David made a silent prayer thanking his aunt. "We can say that we lost the battle, but we won the war in the end, Locusta.
Now let's eat this greasy beauty before something happens."
Locusta, following David's instruction, began to eat in silence, enjoying the taste. After a few minutes, David, who was enjoying his pizza, was surprised when it disappeared and in its place was a cut of meat with mashed potatoes accompanied by a glass of wine.
"My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined." said David before drinking the glass of wine, fearing that it would turn into juice or water.
As he drank his wine, two people came out of the shadows. "You know, drinking like that won't do you any good."
David, who had finished his wine, looked at one of the figures with a smile. "I have to apologize but they already took my cigars, they took my pizza and I'm not going to let them take my wine.
I know I look young but damn, I've killed more people than these campers have killed monsters in the last few years, all I ask for is a vacation and they take the fun out of my life.
What if you convert me in to a normal student... you don't know what, you better forget it, I'd rather continue being normal."
The blonde god started laughing before sitting at the table. "You're lucky you're Nero's son, although it seems that in your world he was a woman." After saying those words the other goddess of great beauty who looked like a copy of Balalaika with Rebecca sat at the table.
"It's funny that my son talks about you as the restorer of Rome, could you tell me more about it?"
David looked at his empty wine glass "I can do it but I'm a little thirsty, would you be so kind as to give me more wine so we can talk calmly dear gods."
The cup was filled and David began to speak while eating. "Well let's start with the fact that I once died on the battlefield. I was a mercenary..."
At first the gods listened with curiosity but later their looks showed some disbelief but despite everything David knew that lying was stupid so he told things as they are, without knowing that behind him the red-haired girl listened in silence.
His rebirth, the power to travel between realities, his mutation by a virus, his romantic partners, the world where humanity came to an end and how his family was beginning to plan the resurgence of global Rome with them as protagonists.
But what intrigued them most was the world where the throne of heroes existed, however David made it very clear that although he did not understand the scales of power it would be crazy to try to face the Eldritch on the moon, Alaya and Gaia.
The conversation lasted almost three hours, but when he reached the end and was about to enjoy his glass of wine, a girl's hand took it away from him and placed a grape soda in its place.
So David just sighed before drinking some grape soda, since he wasn't planning on saying anything to Hestia, not when she was one of the strongest goddesses.
