I think.. I've found a story i want to invest my time too. Anyway if you have suggestions tell i would love to hear them, Now enjoy chapter two.
SNAP
Ysmir snapped a stick and added it fire. The fire in front of Ysmir crackled and burned with renewed vigor in the hole he made in the ground. As Ysmir stared into the small inferno in front a pleasant humming sound came from his right. He glanced at where the noise came from to see the woman whose name he recently learned of. Her name was Roderika. He found her name to be..fascinating at the very least, He'd never heard of a name quite like her's but to be fair they were both from two completely different "continents" so it made sense.
His gaze must have lingered a little to long because she took notice. Her cheek's flushed and she pulled her crimson hood over her head. She tugged at it as if she was trying to make herself sink into her hood never to be seen again. Ysmir found himself snorting in amusement, ah at last he did find out another thing about Roderika. She was shy, shy as a mouse.
A small pulse of power ran through Ysmir. He frowned and looked at his left shoulder. There a rune of sorts embedded itself in his left shoulder. A curious thing really, the blasted thing floated from the ashes of Godrick and attached it self to him. Even though he could feel power flowing from it into him he couldn't help but feel like most of it's power was dormant or sealed. Consider it a gut feeling. Ysmir found himself sighing before a quite pleasant silence took place. Ysmir looked up gazing at the stars..why wasn't there two moons? He blinked, Now finally realizing the sky was missing a moon. Just where in Oblivion was he? Honestly if anybody else was in Ysmir place they would've most likely start panicking but Ysmir? He didn't..why? Well it was simple really sure he had friends back in Skyrim but his purpose? He had completed it. He'd Stopped the world eater along with a crazed vampire lord. Hell he even went beyond Skyrim to the island of Solstheim. He completed his purpose there by defeating the first Dragonborn. So needless to say..he wasn't needed anymore.
Plus one didn't just freak out when finding themselves nowhere near home when you've quite literally traveled to your races after life and then where soul are trapped for eternity if caught by a soul stealing spell or enchantments. The warmth infront Ysmir diming was what brought Ysmir out of his musing. He blinked and looked at what was once a beautiful inferno, now it was barely larger boot than his boot. Ysmir let out a grunt before grabbing a handful of sticks in the pile next to him. He tossed them into the small fire, it started off slow at first at but over time that small fire turned into an inferno.
The peaceful silence was broken when Roderika spoke.
"How..how did thou do it?"
Ysmir blinked. He was wondering when she would ask, honestly he was surpised she didn't ask sooner. Ysmir rolled his shoulders a bit that at lisened a satisfying pop. Ysmir then turned his gaze from the campfire infront of him to Roderika. He was greated to the sight of her staring into the fire, Her hood was pulled back a little allowing him to see her face more clearly. Was she opening up to him? Maybe if so that was good, He didn't want his traveling companion to be nervous around him.
"Hm..where to begin, actually nevermind that was an idiotic question to ask."
And so he told her. He told her how he had stormed Stormveil castle and slew anybody who got in his way. He told her he encountered some strange looking being called Margit and how he almost slew him.
"And so when he went to use the magical hammer he summoned i slide under an attempt to flatten my body and turn me into red stain. I then pounced, I stabbed him in chest before using the power of my thu'um to send him flying though before i could finish him off he evaporated into the wind in some golden light.."
Roderika blinked, She had some many questions first off how was he that strong that he could just storm stormveil and come out unscathed!? Secondly what was he fighting? from how he described his opponent it sounded like an Omen and thirdly the one that caught her attention the most the Thu'um. What was the Thu'um? She had never heard of that before. Some she asked
"Thou wouldn't mind explaining this..Thu'um?"
Ah right..different continents and possibly different worlds. Eh what was the harm of telling her? He didn't see any harm. Ysmir cleared his throat and took in a deep breath because this would be a long explanation.
"The thu'um is your voice turned into magic but in Dragon tongue-"
"Dragon tongue? Dragons have there own language?"
"Yes, yes they do. The voice originated from a Dovah, Or dragon in man's tongue. During a time of war between man and dragon's a Dovah switched sides. This Dovah also taught me. His name is Paarthurnax. He taught the Ancient Nords the power of the thu'um. The power of the voice or thu'um is incredibly powerful to the point it can bend reality and slow time if not halt time all together if so the user chooses though they have to be powerful in there on right to be able to do this.
Roderika recoiled in shock, If this man was speaking the truth that meant he was a step, no not a step leagues above most of the people and creatures in the lands between. It might be blasphemy to even think or believe this but this..man might be on the same level of strength or maybe even greater than queen Marika.
"Thu'um can also be used to share knowledge to. Now onto Dragon shouts, usually for a shout to be at its full potential there must be three words. For example Fus-ro-dah means unrelenting force."
Wait that was him she heard? By the gods he was loud she was sure even the whole lands between heard that.
"Fus means force, ro means balance and dah means push, all together it creates an unrelenting force. Theres so much more about the thu'um but i basically just gave you the quickest and simplest explanation i could."
Roderika slowly nodded her head accepting Ysmir's explanation, apart of her was still shook. There were beings out there with power such as this!? Oh dear..all she could do was hope that they weren't using such power to destroy the world around them. She was brought out of her musing when she heard Ysmir continued.
"Anyway back to the story."
Ysmir continued, he told her how he then slew a few more guards and mercenaries that stood in his way and even a few grafted Spiders before making it to Godricks throne room. And well..what she heard added more proof to her theory. He utterly out right embarrassed Godrick. By no means was Godrick the strongest of the demigods but he was still a demigod with immense strength and Ysmir had utterly embarrassed him.
Roderika shook her head. This was alot to take in and night had fallen awhile ago. Maybe some sleep would do her some good. Roderika pushed herself up and turned to Ysmir.
"I believe retiring..would do me some good. Good night Ysmir."
"Hm." Ysmir hummed to himself, He didn't expect her to take in this information like that and have this sorta reaction but then again he supposed he should have expected it after all they both were from two completely different places, To be fair though his race had time to fully take in how powerful the thu'um could be. To be more specific decades to a millenniums while this girl just learned of a beings who held such power. To his knowledge anyway. Honestly he could blame her if he was in her situation he'd probably need time to take in this information too.
Ysmir shook his head clearing those thoughts before turning to Roderika give her his attention. "Good night Roderika." Roderika gave a slow nod before turning around and walking over to one of the two tents that were set up still in shock about the recent relevation.
Ysmir found sleep came Roderika quick, one moment she was awake the next she was in deep slumber. Poor lass must've been tired with the knewly found information didn't help, along with the people that came with her to the lands between dying to protect her, Simply alot of strain had been put on the girl mind.
Ysmir found his gaze turning back to fire infront of him. He grabbed a few sticks and tossed them into the fire. Ysmir leaned forward letting out a low hum as he bathed in the warmth of the flames for a few moments, A small sly smirk formed on Ysmir face as he spoke out in what seemed to be the empty forest.
"So, are you just going to stand there all night? Or have you come from business?"
Ysmir gaze drifted up looking past the fire to the forest beyond, More importantly the figure hiding themselves in the darkness wearing a cloak of sorts. Hm..it was a female from the looks of it. the lower half of her face could be seen. Soft pink lips and a rounded face with a small nose. He narrowed his eyes catching the glimpse of redish brown hair in the womans cloak.
Ysmir blinked.
"Come girl dont be shy."
Blast she had been had! Melina had been so sure this Ysmir fellow wouldn't have notice her after all, Ever since he had managed to kill Godrick she had been following him believing he was a tarnished, one capable enough to restore the Elden Ring and becoming Elden lord..but as she listened in to what he'd told that tarnished he seemed to have acquired as a companion she realized he wasnt tarnished and yet.. something is compelling her to help him. A voice..a voice in the back of her head that isn't of her's..ah now she realized who's voice that was, this voice was of her mother. Her mothers voice reassured her helping this strange fellow would benefit the lands between, along with reassuring her this foreign warrior was guided by grace?
Melina closed her eye and hummed. Now this was a interesting change of plans indeed..but who was she to deny her mother?
She would do it, She would take the role as his finger maiden if he so allow her so. So now she stepped forward out of the Shadows, She pulled her hood down as she continued forward before eventually kneeling infront of Ysmir.
"I offer thee an accord.."
Ysmir blinked.
"Huh?"
The rather beautiful woman infront of him went to repeat herself but he stopped her by raising a hand.
"Okay..i get your offering me an accord but..why?"
The woman infront of him didn't respond at first and for a moment he thought she wouldn't respond at all but eventually she did.
"The lands between is in..disarray, The dead walk, One part of the continent is plagued by a disease..the scarlet rot and only a very few haven't completely gone mad, The lands in-between needs a warrior to claim the Elden Ring and become Elden lord, Then restore order"
Well wasn't that all nice and dandy? So he found himself in a new continent or world where almost everybody was insane trying to kill him? Along with that apart of the continent had some sort of disease and the whole damn continent was in disarray? By the nine he need something to drink. Ysmir took in a deep breath and sighed. He doubt it would be as easy as she made it out to be..but in the end it always feel onto him. but now the question was would he help?
Honestly it wasn't even a question, He had a bleeding heart so the answer was clear. He would help this land but he would do it on HIS terms. He looked back to stranger infront of and asked.
"Is there anything else i should know?"
The Stranger Infront of him nodded.
"Yes, if thou allows me to play the part of finger maiden, I can aid thee by empowering you with the runes thou collected."
Runes..Ysmir blinked as a look of understanding formed on his face. "Oh you mean theses?" Ysmir digged into a pouch on his waist before pulling out a handful of runes.
"I was wondering what theses we're for..i thought they were some form of currency or something."
Ysmir placed the runes back in his pouch as he rubbed the back of his neck and frowned. Honestly he doubted he needed the extra power..but she knew alot about this land and that information would be valuable..plus what was one more person to the club?
A smile formed on Ysmir face as he stared at Stranger infront of him. "Before i give you my answer why don't you give me your name? You already know mines."
The woman infront of him hummed for a moment thinking over his request before eventually nodding. "Very well, I am Melina a finger maiden."
Ysmir hummed and repeated her name a few times feeling it out as it rolled off his tongue.
"That's a unique..yet beauty name."
Melina didn't know why but a hint of heat hit her cheeks. She cleared her throat regaining a bit of her composure and asked. "What is thy answer?"
Ysmir smile only grew, His answer was simple really. "I accept your accord"
A small smile bloomed on Melina's face. "Does Thou wish for me to empower thee with the runes you have acquired?"
The Dragon part of himself screamed out yes while the still nord part thought on the matter. He was sure he could handle anybody in this land no problem but..then again he didn't know theses lands did he? The Dragon part of him scoffed at his hesitation. His Dovah instinct always tried to urge him on, Obtain more power..at one point his his Dragon blood tried to urge him on, Go to solitude, Claim the throne or even better. Go to cyardil, Storm the capital, Slay all who stepped in his way and claim the throne. He didn't of course. He knew better..but maybe just this one time, He'd indulge to his Dovah side. With a nod the Dragonborn fixed his gaze back on Melina.
"Yes..yes i do."
Melina's small smile grew a touch bigger. She moved a little closer, She extended a hand towards him. "Then thou lay your hand into mines..for but a moment."
He did so and not a moment later power rushed into him, he felt his strength ever grow, everything grew. He blinked. Huh not bad..it felt like he absorbed a minor dragons soul. He felt Melina pull her hand away. His gaze focused on her and noticed she was now staring at the great rune on his shoulder.
"The rune on you're shoulder is beyond me..but i know where you maybe able to draw the power of the great rune."
Great rune was it? Now this intrigued him. Ah now she was pointing. His head followed her arm, then finger. Hm interesting..in that tower is where he could draw on the power of this rune huh? Though..there was one little problem, you'd have to go through stormveil to reach that tower and Roderika wouldn't like that, nope, Not at all and he wouldn't allow her to relive the horrors of that place just by going through there to unlock this great runes full potential. He would have to go there on his own..well might as well get started before the lass woke up..and leave a summon with lass.
Deep within the Erdtree a womanly giggled echoed.
"Yes my daughter..bring upon me the new Elden Lord..and my Third Consort"
I hope you all enjoyed this also I'll like to let you know this wont be my only Elden Ring fanic my next one will consist of a certain Lone Wolf and the one after a Saiyan who found himself out of time anyway good day or night to you all.
