Author's Note: Here is chapter 4. We get quidditch trials- the results that is. A promise from earlier. Some inspiration from Legacy. And we'll be entering October and a big part of the plot. Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 4: The Corridor and the Writing

While Cadmus and Antioch hadn't been looking forward to the tryouts Ravenclaw would be holding that morning, their mood was greatly improved thanks to the morning mail. A swarm of owls arrived, a large majority each holding red envelopes they recognized as howlers. The students were wandering how so many got in enough trouble to earn howlers, however they were all going to the same person.

Albus Dumbledore.

The hall was silent as envelope after envelope burst into angry words, one thing everyone heard clearly in most of them was:

'How dare you not inform me that a troll got in on Halloween! I have a right to know when my child's been placed in danger!'

If that wasn't already enough, in the midst of all the howlers was the article in the Daily Prophet.

'Albus Dumbledore: What are his Intentions?

Albus Dumbledore is the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A man that we have entrusted with the care and safety of our children. And we have believed, for the past quarter of a century, that he's been doing just that.

However, it turns out that we were very wrong in this belief. It has come to my attention that on Ocotber 31st of the year 1991, just last year, that a troll had gotten into Hogwarts, considered one of the safest places in Britain.

But we clearly can't believe this title now that we know the truth. A fully grown mountain troll was released into the halls of Hogwarts by the late Quirinus Quirrell, who had been the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor of that year.

Bad enough as this already is, I have also discovered that the troll had been reported to be in the dungeons, near the common rooms of Hufflepuff and Slytherin. And Headmaster Albus Dumbledore ordered their prefects to take their students back to their dorms.

You read that right, dear readers. Albus Dumbledore willingly and knowingly sent several young children into the direct path of a mountain troll! I was a ghast to hear this. Especially upon realizing it could- and should- have been avoided. A look into the 'Hogwarts Charter' states that the protocol for such a situation demands that all students are kept in the Great Hall with at least two teachers to protect the students and to activate the protections while the rest of the teachers get a hold of the proper authorities and secure the rest of the school.

Not only did Albus Dumbledore disregard proper protocol, but several children also got caught in the cross hairs, even denying some immediate aid to get answers that could have waited. I'm sure you must be wondering how in the world we are only just learning about this.

The answer, dear readers, will most likely enrage all of you. The only parents and guardians to get word of this incident; those from Ravenclaw, who's Head of House Filius Flitwick, a renown dueler and emissary of the Goblin Nation, had sent informing missives from Gringotts where he was meeting to inform a guardian if the situation in person.

Exactly readers. Only the guardians of Ravenclaws got informed of their children's wellbeing after the incident. Could it be a coincidence that only missives sent outside of Hogwarts reached their recipients?

I don't think so either, dear readers. And as the 'Hogwarts Charter' also indicates that only the headmaster could have such control over the mail, in absence of Hogwarts Heirs, we can only come to one conclusion:

Albus Dumbledore deliberately kept us unaware of the danger our children had been in during their schooling. One could argue that Albus Dumbledore believed that since things had passed without too much incident- in his opinion- that we shouldn't be worried about it. But who is Albus Dumbledore to determine what the parents have a right to worry about? Who is Albus Dumbledore - merely the headmaster and not a parent himself- to keep us from knowing what has been happening with our children?

I ask you readers to really think about that. And ask yourselves: If Albus Dumbledore was keeping something so important from us, what else has he kept hidden?

Rita Skeeter, Special Correspondence of the Daily Prophet'

It just so happened that the last howler had finished when Minerva McGonagall's sharp voice sounded. "Albus Dumbledore! I had wondered why none of my students' parents had responded to my notice. How dare you keep something so important from being sent out!" The students watched on in silence, many still trying to process what they had read, as the Gryffindor Head of House tore into the headmaster. This was followed by the Hufflepuff and Slytherin heads doing the same while the Ravenclaw head merely drank his tea, smiling with contentness at the man's dressing down.

It had definitely been an interesting morning, and the day had only just began.

-The Chamber of Secrets-

The tryouts had gone wonderfully for Ignotus. He had made seeker for the Ravenclaw team. According to the captain, she had never seen someone fly so naturally on a broom or fit the role of seeker so perfectly. She was positive that they were going to win the cup that year and show Gryffindor and Slytherin that Ravenclaw wasn't just full of academics, but winners. "It's about time the cup rested in the Ravenclaw tower, don't you agree?" Her answer was the rest of Ravenclaw shouting in agreement and full of determination.

She immediately set about making a schedule for training letting the rest of the team know that she'd inform them when it was ready. The rest of the weekend was for tryouts and they had been lucky to get first dibs that year.

"Well done Iggy. We knew you'd get on the team." Cadmus congratulated his baby brother who grinned in reply.

"I suppose since you'll be playing we can put an hour a side from studying and watch the game." Antioch said, clearly teasing him. Ignotus shoved him playfully.

"Don't we have a mysterious herbology corridor to find?" Ignotus said with a laugh.

"Indeed we do. And I have an idea where it is too." the eldest said with a smug smirk.

"The lead the way our all-knowing leader." Cadmus said sarcastically with an over dramatic flourish. The eldest merely raised a haughty brow and nodded imperiously.

"Follow me less all-knowing beings." Antioch said starting to lead the way. He got shoved to the ground for that remark.

Eventually, the triplets found the entrance. It was far out of the way, in a secluded area, and behind a thick, nearly feral thorn bush. Antioch's herbicide potion did wonders for destroying it.

The corridor was dark, damp, and filled with devil's snare. "I guess this is what happens when you have a hidden corridor that no one's touched in almost a century." Ignotus muttered, lighting his wand so the snare stayed away. His brothers following suit.

"How did I not find this my first time around?" Cadmus asked, sounding morose. This was an absolute treasure trove of ingredients!

"You know how Hogwarts is Cad." Antioch replied absentmindedly. "It shows its secrets only when it wants too." he blinked at the sight of a set of stairways to the side and the collapsed wall blocking the corridor before them. "Easiest way to get through would be the stairs." he stated, glancing at the crumbling stone steps with slight distrust.

"Let's go. Best to avoid overworking our magic if we don't have to. No telling what we're going to find in here." Ignotus said, starting carefully up the steps.

"And there's the Gryffindor I knew you had in there somewhere." Cadmus grumbled, following the youngest with the eldest in the rear.

The steps opened up to a room. They spotted several old tools, a couple of torches, and some ingredients ranging between still useable and questionable. "Sweet Merlin! This is amazing." Cad said, lighting a torch that was over one of the old benches. "There are still usable tools here. And there are some ingredients here that are viable." he told his brothers, quickly shifting through them.

"Hm. Some are pretty rare ingredients too. Give me a few minutes to collect these." Cadmus told them.

"I'm surprised I didn't see this coming." Antioch admitted to his baby brother who just rolled his eyes in fond amusement. A few minutes later Cadmus was finished, and they were back to exploring as they continued down the short hallway. It ended in a steep drop off littered with broken mortar, wood, and shattered metals. And a veritable sea of snare.

"I don't think we want to drop down there." Ignotus stated, his brothers agreed. "So where do we go next?"

"There's a ledge over there." Antioch observed. And sure, enough there was a stone ledge a couple feet wide. Following the ledge led to another room, the wall of which had crumbled. Its loose pieces barely visible in the foliage below.

"So, we jump across, shuffle along the edge, and into the room." Ignotus surmised, calculating the distance and noting vines in the walls that could provide a good handhold. "We should be able to make it." He told them.

"Just because you're the heir to Gryffindor does not mean you have to behave like them Iggy!" Antich scowled at the youngest. "I'll go first to ensure it's safety." It took several minutes to get to the room and Cadmus only almost fell once. The room they found themselves in was an old teacher's office. There were even graded herbology assignments in the desk, ink faded. And Antioch found an old, rare book still legible thanks to protection charms from the late 1800s.

"I'll take it to the library when I'm done with it. I think Madam Pince would appreciate it. So would Neville and Professor Sprout." Antioch mused, flipping through the pages.

"Good idea. But I want to read it first." Cadmus and Ignotus both prompted.

"Obviously."

The triplets weren't sure how long they had been exploring the old corridor before they found a staircase leading back down. At the end of the staircase was a destroyed room and in the center was a mutant venomous tentacula. "Merlin's beard! What is that?!" Ignotus squeaked. The fly trap-esque plant was twice as large as Antioch.

"That is quite possibly the largest venomous tentacula to ever be recorded. It looks like it's had its share of mooncalf fertilizer." Cadmus observed, noticing the many degraded fertilizer bags. He was surprised they had survived this long.

"Don't tentaculas spit venom?" Ignotus asked curiously. The answer was the sound of the tentacula making a gurgling sound before spitting a glob of purple goop at them.

"Move!" they cried, dodging the venom. The stone floor sizzled dangerously, though it didn't melt like Ignotus had been expecting.

"Alright. I think it wants to eat us." Cadmus told his brothers, casting a severing charm at a tentacle that had tried to grab him.

"Then we need to get it, before it gets us." After what felt like hours and several hits later, the triplets cast a joint incendio curse and finally the plant shriveled into ash. Cadmus carefully collected one of the severed heads that were almost three times their normal sizes and placed it in a stasis bag after they were sure the man-eating plant was destroyed.

"Let's go, I'm hungry." Ignotus said, once things were properly calmed down. The other two nodded and found a ladder that led into the green houses. "We traveled farther than I thought we did." He observed, before glancing at the dark skies. "What time is it?" He asked.

Antioch winced as 7:25 PM appeared at the cast of his tempus. "Dinner is almost over. Let's hurry, we might be in time to get at least some desert." Antioch sighed. The triplets rushed to the castle and burst into the Great Hall about ten minutes later. Thankfully the tables were still full, but silence had greeted their entrance. A glance around showed that every table was focused on them, and a group of teachers at the front of the hall with Draco and Neville. The teachers and their friends- including the twins- looked like they had been worried about something, and seeing the triplets only worsened that.

"What?" Cadmus asked the room at large with a raised brow. He knew the three of them didn't look great- their clothes were torn; they were covered in dust and plant particles. In addition, each of the brothers sported some minor burns from where they had all gotten slightly splashed with the venom. But the reaction was a bit overboard. It didn't help that they each sported some bruising.

Antioch had some bruising around his mouth and neck where one of the vines had grabbed him. Ignotus's wrist was heavily bruised from the tight grip of a devil snare that had crept into the room without their notice, and Cadmus had a slight limp from where he had been held upside down by the tentacula. "Antioch, Cadmus, and Ignotus Peverell! Do you three have any idea how worried we've been?" Filius growled at his charges, storming up to them with the teachers right behind him.

"I'm going to guess very?" Antioch asked warily. Athanasius seemed amused if their connection was working right, though he was frowning.

"The infirmary with you lot now." Filius ordered after looking them over. He hadn't calmed down much, but he did understand that they needed a proper check-up. And his tone left the triplets knowing better than to argue. So, Filius his charges, their friends, Athanasius, and Poppy headed to the infirmary.

The next hour was spent with the triplets explaining what they had been doing for the past several hours, even showing off the unusually large head of the tentacula. "So, this corridor is full of devil snare, and you chose to go further into it?" Draco asked in disbelief. "You're supposed to be in Ravenclaw! Not bloody Gryffindor!" Draco cried.

"I'm rather in agreement with Mr. Malfoy, though I would hope that even they wouldn't do such a thing." Poppy agreed, closing up the salve she had just used to treat the triplets' burns.

"I suppose I'll head down there with some professors and clear out the infestation in the morning." Athanasius mused.

"That's still a pretty wicked thing you three did." Fred told them.

"I'm surprised those two especially allowed you to continue." George added.

"It was my idea. I was going to see it through." Antioch sniffed as Poppy returned their clothes and began to add to their files.

"I see. Quite frankly, I would like to take 30 points from each of you. What you three did was reckless and dangerous. You didn't even inform anyone where you were, and we've been worried since we realized you were missing after you never showed up for lunch." Flitwick growled, causing his charges to flinch. This had been the first time that they had actually made their guardian upset and it wasn't a pleasant feeling. Flitwick took a deep breath.

"Instead, I will only remove 15 points from each of you for your idiocy. But you will have detention tomorrow night and I want essays on how this little excursion of yours could have ended in something worse than sprains, bruises, and injuries. Am I clear?" He asked them. Even Cadmus and Antioch couldn't help but agree with the punishment. They truly felt like naughty 12-year-olds in that moment. They couldn't even feel an ounce of offense considering their older, mental ages.

Seeing their genuine contrite expressions, he released a breath and smiled. "Having said that, I'm impressed. No, you're not getting any points for being so foolish. But I am impressed with how far you three have progressed." The triplets smiled in relief. "Also, congratulations Ignotus, I heard that you made it onto the team as seeker." HE added to the youngest who beamed.

"Really? That's great Iggy," The four other students congratulated.

"I'm excited for the first match already. Ravenclaw versus Gryffindor. In case you weren't aware, Potter did make it onto the team as seeker." the twins informed them.

"I also made it onto the team as seeker." Draco let them know. He scowled at the triplets. "I was going to tell you at lunch." they winced before congratulating the blonde for his success.

"I'm sure we'll have quite an exciting quidditch season." Athanasius mused. Ultimately, they had to say good night to the triplets who had finished their dinner and soon the triplets were asleep, and the weekend passed without any more incidents.

-The Chamber of Secrets-

The month of September flew by as they entered October. Their defense lessons with Filius and Athanasius had gone smoothly, quidditch training and lessons were also going pretty well, each house sure they'd be the winners of the quidditch cup. They had served their detentions and finished the essays put to them by Filius who had relaxed after a couple of weeks had passed.

The triplets had even managed to finally get to the trophy room where they found the awards won by Tom Riddle. A special service to the school, and the top grades in pretty much every subject he had ever taken.

It was a little sad that the three of them were obliterating his scores, considering they were achieved before he had lost his sanity, but Antioch was determined to see the shadow of what he had been erased from existence. They had witnessed Ronald Weasley arriving into the trophy room with Filch as they were leaving and the red haired boy sent a withering glare at Cadmus, still believing it to be his fault somehow.

It had been one night on their way back to the Ravenclaw tower that the next breakthrough happened.

The triplets were discussing the latest essay from transfiguration- one involving transfiguring animals into water goblets, an upgrade from the beetles to buttons lesson they had done in their first class- when they had heard it.

'Come... Come to me... Let me rip... Let me tear... Let me feast...' the triplets were frozen as the syllabic hissing faded. When they could finally move again, not having been expecting the parseltongue that was dripping with hunger, they searched for hours trying to locate the source but hadn't heard it again.

'We need to get to Flitwick and Athanasius, I remembered something.' Antioch thought to his brothers, dread filling his mental space. Nodding, the trio rushed to Flitwick's office, which was closest and sending a message to the other to ensure he would be there when they arrived.

"What's wrong?" Filius asked after throwing up a privacy array.

"A basilisk! There's a basilisk in the school! It's in Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets! And the horcrux has awoken it. " Antioch burst out, his emotions haywire. "How could I forget something so important!?" he growled at himself.

"It's not your fault Anti. Calm down we need to keep a straight head about this." Cadmus told their older brother who took several deep breaths before nodding.

"So there's an age old basilisk now running free in the school and we're currently the only ones who know about it outside of the horcrux." Athanasius mused with a sigh.

"Yes."

"And I recently learned that Hagrid's roosters are starting to be slaughtered by creatures." Filius added with a frown.

"The easiest way to kill a basilisk." Antioch confirmed for Ignotus who nodded with understanding.

"And the horcrux is still too weak to be spotted. This one must have more intelligence behind it than some of the others if it's being careful to not be picked up on." Athanasius added with a grimace.

"Unfortunately I can't remember much else. I know it's a basilisk that can only be controlled by Slytherin's heir and it's in the chamber which is in the school somewhere. But I can't remember where. This is frustrating." Antioch groaned.

"We'll just need to be on our guard and look up what we can so we can prepare ourselves for the worst." Ignotus said, rubbing his forehead. And it really was.

"I'll wander the school and try to feel out for any particularly old and/ or dark magic. If the basilisk has in fact been awoken then the horcrux is going to get more active. We'll need to keep a close eye on the children to see if any of them are showing signs of possession." Antioch said, getting nods in reply.

"I just ask that everyone be as careful as possible as we move forward, understand?" Filius looked at the other four who agreed. This was not the time for anyone to do anything reckless.

-The Chamber of Secrets-

The month passed quicker than any of them had wanted as Halloween arrived with no further sound from the basilisk in those weeks. A time where they were already on guard. The triplets sighed as they left the library having lost track of time as they researched everything they could on the chamber and basilisks. So far, it wasn't anything more than what they knew. And now they were extremely late to the Halloween Feast.

'I swear there has to be something with an unbiased view of things.' Antioch grumbled to his brothers.

'What if we send a message to Ragnok asking if he can find anything about it?' Cadmus suggested.

'That might not be a bad idea.' Ignotus mused, only for the thought to be lost as they heard the basilisk's words once more. It was startling despite them keeping an ear out for it.

'...so hungry... for so long...' The triplets tried to track it, running down the stairs where it sounded like it might be headed. They heard the feverish words before it finally said something that made their blood run cold as they reached the second floor. '... I smell blood...' the hiss sounded ecstatic. 'I smell blood!' The words seemed nearly yelled with glee as they rushed down the corridor and turned the corner. And things changed once more.

At the end of the flooded corridor the golden trio had also just turned into it as the triplets had. "Matthew! What was that all about? I didn't hear anything, no hissing or words." Ron loudly asked the other boy as the trio panted and wiped sweat from their brows. The trio froze at the sight of the triplets who were just as frozen, only at the words the red-haired boy had said instead.

'How can he hear parseltongue? He's not a horcrux.' Antioch sounded nearly frantic. What if Matthew was and he hadn't realized that he had made two in his insanity?

'Calm down Anti. The Potters are also descended from the Peverells just like Slytherin was. Their magic and blood are dominantly Gryffindor, but they do still have some of Slytherin's blood. Why it wasn't mentioned anywhere before I'm not sure. Hell, the Potters might not even know that he can. There were never any snakes at the Potter Mansion or Godric's Hollow. And we don't know how potent or strong the parseltongue is for him. There were a few cases where some could only partially understand serpents. Which seems to be the case if Weasley's words about 'hissing, or words' is anything to go by.' Ignotus calmed his oldest brother.

'In some cases, the ability can fade as the witch or wizard reaches maturity depending on the amount of the blood and magic in their cores. This just means that we have to be more careful than before as we figure out how potent or faded it is.' Cadmus added, helping in calming the other down. That was when they heard Granger's cry.

"Look!" They looked at where she was pointing, and they froze for another reason entirely. On the wall, written clearly in glistening still dripping blood, were the words:

The Chamber of Secrets has Been Opened. Enemies of the Heir, Beware.

"What's hanging under it?" Ron asked, sounding nervous. They all were. And sure enough, hooked to a bracket was the form of a stiff cat. Not just any cat, but Mrs. Norris, Filch's familiar.

"Oh, sweet Merlin." Antioch whispered, not sure in that moment if the cat was dead or just petrified. The death of a familiar was always tragic no matter who the wizard or witch were. His whisper sounded loud in the corridor. The six had subconsciously gotten closer to the cat to see it clearly when Ron first asked about it, and they stared at each other, unsure of what to do in that moment.

Cadmus knew he had been a teacher once; knew he was technically an adult mentally- even if he was literally a child. He should know what to do in this situation. The students were officially in danger... but that included him now. He wasn't Severus Snape, feared Potions Professor any longer. He was Cadmus Peverell, a second year Ravenclaw. And there was very little he could do as a child. He did the only thing he could think of. 'Lord Death, grab Filius and come to the second floor. It's started.' He sent through their connection to Death, Antioch and Ignotus agreeing with the choice Cadmus had made.

'The students are already coming, either try to get out of there or be ready to be interrogated by Albus.' Death's warning arrived too late as the sound of students sounded throughout the halls as they came from the feast. The six looked at each other in slight panic but there was nothing they could do as the crowds reached them. And stopped at the sight of six pale second years, the stiff, possibly dead cat, and the bloody graffiti on the wall.

"Enemies of the heir, beware." A nameless sixth year Slytherin read before laughing. "You'll be next mudbloods." he called.

"Shut your trap Fawley, it's those like you that Slytherin has a bad name." one of the other Slytherins hissed. It wouldn't have been heard if it wasn't so quiet. Then the noises erupted around as people were asking questions or starting to panic as they finally noticed what was under the bracket.

"What's going on here? What's going on?" Filch's gruff voice called, pushing to the front of the crowd after hearing the commotion. He froze when his eyes landed on Mrs. Norris. "Mrs. Norris?" the pain was clear in his voice as he took in the form of his cat who still wasn't confirmed dead or petrified yet. His eyes landed on Matthew Potter and his eyes popped as he snarled.

"You! You murdered my cat! I'll kill-" He began to rant; the triplets had their wands out ready to intervene if the man tried to actually attack Potter.

"Argus!" Albus Dumbledore's voice called out warningly as he arrived with a number of teachers including Lily Potter, Athanasius, and the house heads. He swept past the group and detached the poor cat from the bracket. "Come with me, Argus." Albus told the man calmly. "You as well, Ms. Granger, Misters Potter, Peverells, and Weasley." he added.

Lockhart stepped forward eagerly. "My office is nearest, Headmaster, just upstairs. Please feel free." Albus nodded.

"Thank you, Gilderoy." Albus said. And soon the six students were following the Headmaster, Filch, Filius, Minerva, Athanasius, Lily, and Lockhart through the silent crowd that parted for them.

The triplets caught the eyes of Neville and Draco who were looking after them worriedly. The triplets gave them what they hoped were reassuring looks. It worked a bit as the duo relaxed a little. But it was clear they were still worried about the situation.

In Lockhart's office Albus placed Mrs. Norris on the desk and began to examine her. 'It's okay you three. She's merely petrified.' Death assured the triplets who relaxed a little at that. They were actively tuning out Lockhart who was going on about how he could have saved her, his descriptions morbid and causing Filch to let out dry sobs. Their hearts bled for the man. He wasn't exactly a ray of sunshine and he absolutely hated children. But he loved Mrs. Norris and even if she wasn't dead, they could only imagine having that connection silenced.

Suddenly Abus straightened up. "She's not dead, Argus." Albus soothed the caretaker.

"Not dead?" the man asked hopefully as Lockhart fell silent. "But why is she all-?" He couldn't bring himself to continue.

"She's been petrified." Albus informed him. Lockhart's exclamation of 'I thought so!' was ignored, save several looks of distaste that he was oblivious too. "But how, I cannot say..." Albus trailed off. It was startling to realize that he was being honest in that moment. Huh, so Albus had never known about the basilisk. That might be something to consider later.

"Ask him!" shrieked Filch, pointing at Matthew who flinched back from the accusing finger and closer to Lily who placed herself between Filch and the three Gryffindors with a look of outrage at the other's accusation.

"No second year could have done this Argus." Albus said firmly. "It would take advanced Dark Magic to-"

"He did it! He did!" Filch insisted, and really it was probably his grief controlling him to have him accuse a child of Dark Magic like this. "You saw what he wrote on the wall! He found- he knows- He knows I'm a squib."

"I never touched Mrs. Norris!" Matthew denied.

"I know sweety." Lily told her son, voice confident and firm.

"If I might speak, Headmaster." Athanasius spoke up. "It's most likely that these students were just in the wrong place at the wrong time." he said.

"Then why were none of them at the feast?" Lockhart asked. "Where were they all?" he wondered. The teachers looked at the six second years questioningly.

"Um, we were in the library studying and lost track of time. We were coming down from the library." Ignotus answered for him and his brothers. "We were going to stop at the bathroom to wash up before going to the feast."

"The feast was over nearly a quarter of an hour ago." Lily said with narrowed green eyes. "You wouldn't have made it in time for anything."

"We were in a rush and hadn't thought to cast tempus to determine the exact time. We just knew it was late." Antioch explained cooly, barely keeping his distaste for the woman hidden.

"We stumbled on the scene at the same time as those three." he added, not mentioning what they had heard. No one needed to know about the ability if they didn't already. It would only cast more suspicion on the children and that wasn't something they wanted.

"And you three?" Albus asked the Golden Trio.

"We were at Nick's Death Day party." the trio explained.

"There's hundreds of ghosts who can vouch for us." Weasley insisted.

"Then why not come to the feast afterwards? If I recall, the party should have ended with enough time for you to get something to eat." Lily asked her son in concern.

"Because we-" Matthew seemed unsure about what to say. Which wasn't a surprise. How did one tell their overprotective mother that they were hearing a disembodied voice and had followed it?

"We were tired after the party and wanted to get to bed early." Hermione answered.

"Without supper?" Lily asked in concern, and that was definitely her maternal instincts speaking. "Death day parties don't provide food for the living, and you should never skip meals unless you're very sick and even then, you should stick to something light. Your body needs nutrients." she scolded her son and his friends.

Ignotus looked away and clung to his brothers as his stomach rumbled slightly to his embarrassment. Lily glanced over in concern at the sound. That had been just as loud as Ronalds own stomach rumble. Antioch and Cadmus blocked her view of the small boy and she frowned. They really didn't like or trust her. She wondered why when she hadn't done anything to them.

"For now, I suggest everyone head back to their common rooms." Albus told them.

"My familiar has been petrified! I want to see some punishment!" Filch cried.

"We will be able to cure her, Argus. Professor Sprout has managed to procure some mandrakes. As soon as they have reached their full size, I will have a potion made that will revive Mrs. Norris." Albus soothed the distraught man.

"I can make it!" Lockhart said excitedly. "I must have done it a hundred times!" Lockhart began only for Filius to speak up coldly.

"It's a miracle that you got this position without the proper requirements. You are even more lacking than when it comes to potions. Kindly stick to your current lane and don't try for something beyond your scope. We have three teachers, one of who is a potions master, and a nurse that are more than able to make the restorative draught. We will not be leaving it to you. Now I'll be taking my charges to get something to eat before sending them back to their dorms. Come along boys." Flitwick told them and the group left with Athanasius. Things were busy enough without having to be involved with the man. Things were picking up now.
