(A/N: Seems like those things I hear about 9Go being the first to air part 2 of Season 2 were untrue. I'd say it is a relief... for now)
In the mines, Cole was striking a rock with his pickaxe before stopping to rub his wrist and turned to Murt, who was still working, "Hey, uh... um, Murt, right?" He asked.
Murt stops to glare at him before turning away. "Friend of Geckle!" He replied.
"Just ignore him." The purple creature with the eyepatch replied. "He's a lowdown thieving Munce." He throws his pickaxe aside.
Murt strikes the ground, in anger. "Sneaky tricky Geckle!"
"Blade stealer!"
"Me? You blade stealer!"
Cole soon came between them. "Guys, guys! We're all in this together, okay? Why the hell do you hate each other so much?" Pretty soon, the Geckles start to come up behind their fellow Geckle while the Munce start to come up behind Murt. "Hey, come on! Knock it off!" A gong was soon heard, making everyone turn to where it came from.
Everyone starts to walk away as Cole looked on, confused. "Glop time." One of the Geckles said, unamused.
"What's 'Glop time'?"
Several minutes later, Cole was in a line, ball and chain cuff removed from his waist, and holding a bowl as a skeleton pours some green sludge into his bowl, disgusting him. The skeleton then points to its right, motioning him to move along, and he does so as a Geckle behind him was next, and another Geckle gets his cuff removed. Cole started to move along among the Geckles, Munce and skeletons before coming across Murt and sits down next to him. "Hey, uh, Murt? Are there any other Munce who are a little, um... How do I put it... smarter than you?"
"Murt smartest." He said before pointing out to random Munce. "Also Manko, and Mudd, and Mood, and Meeha and Mid."
"Uh, do all Munce names start with 'M'?"
"Mm, like you. 'Mole.'" He grabs another spoonful of glop.
"No, my name's Cole, not 'Mole'."
"What I said. Mole."
"No, no, no." Cole chuckles a little. "With a 'C', like... uh, 'cold'. Say 'cold'."
"Cold?"
"Yes, exactly! My name is like that. Cole."
Murt thinks for a bit. "Mole." He resumes eating as Cole turned away, giving up his attempt to correct Murt.
In the tunnel, Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Zane, Nya, Geoff, Gewuji and Blake move along it until they came across the mine, and gasp at the sight of it.
"Quick, let's hide!" Lloyd whispered before they ran along the pathway to hide behind some nearby rocks while Zane and Blake threw the torches away, and they immediately extinguish before they all look up to peek.
"Wow, Vania was right." Nya said. "There sure are a lot of them."
"But I detect only simple weapons and crude fortifications." Zane replied.
"Even with all that, it won't be easy." Geoff said.
Jay soon gasped. "Look, there's Cole!" He whispered, pointing out to him. He was being led back to his cage with a few Geckles while still having his bowl of glop.
"What do you think?" Kai asked Lloyd. "Take 'em by surprise?"
"I don't know." He replied, skeptical. "This feels like a moment when Master Wu would say we need more of a plan."
"I like simple. I say we bust up that bag of bones, get that key, and save Cole. Best. Rescue. Ever. Unless someone else has a better idea?" Everyone looks at each other. Since they had no objections, they get up and ran along the path.
Down by his cage, the skeleton had locked it while Cole glares at it as it left before sitting down, groaning as he did so while a horned creature comes by, and starts to eat his glop when the creature stops, sniffs a little, and turns to the bowl in Cole's hands as he ate before coming up to the cage. The creature growls in a begging tone before Cole holds out his bowl to it, and it gets out its tongue to grab it and retracts it to eat it. "That's quite the appetite." Cole said as he watched it before groaning in disgust. "I bet the bowl tastes better than the glop."
Further away, Kai and Geoff jump onto the top of a cage before looking down to see two black skeletons stopping underneath it. "Now." Geoff whispered. Kai pulls out his sword while he and Geoff grab hold of the chain before Kai cuts it from underneath their feet, dropping the cage onto the two skeletons. They soon drop down to the debris before Kai picks up the key while a skeleton's skull snarled at him, causing him to gasp out of fear before its eyes stop glowing and toppled over, and they immediately take off.
By the cages, the horned creature moves away from Cole as Nya and Gewuji drop down from behind it, followed by Lloyd, Jay, Zane, Gewuji and Blake. "Boy, am I glad to see you guys." Cole said.
"You okay?" Nya asked.
"Yeah, get me outta here." Kai and Geoff rush toward them before Kai tossed the key to Blake, who catches it and unlocks the cage before opening it.
"Someone's coming!" Jay whispered as Zane and Gewuji turn to him to see what he was talking about before noticing two black skeletons about to leave a tunnel. Zane quickly gets out a shuriken and throws it at the cage above them, breaking the chain off, and it drops down on top of them.
Cole soon shushed them as he came out of the cage. "Keep it down!" He whispered before pointing at the temple. "There's a creepy guy with wings in that temple, and trust me, you do not want to meet him."
"Yeah, let's not bring the whole place down on our heads." Nya said before the Geckles in the cage immediately ran out between her and Kai, nudging Blake as they ran.
Geoff turns to the Munce before waving to Blake to hand him the key, and he does so by throwing it and Geoff catches it as he ran to the cage. "Come on, guys, it's a rescue!" He whispered to them.
"We're getting you out of here, but you have to be quiet." Gewuji whispered before Geoff inserts the key into the lock and turns it.
He soon opened the cage door as Murt passes by Geoff. "Murt is quiet." He said. Some of the Geckles were in cages being held by chains before they drop down, breaking them open and freeing them as Lloyd, Kai, Zane and Nya drop down, being the ones responsible.
As they start to walk away, a Geckle was facing Cole while moving back. "We're free!" He said before bumping into Murt, who was with two other Munce, and falls forward as he turned to see him on the ground and looked at the Ninja.
"You rescue Geckles?"
Before Cole could explain, the Geckle gets up and looks at Murt as two more came up behind him. "Thieving Munce!"
"Thieving Geckles!"
Cole immediately came between them. "Hey, keep it together, guys." He said. "Just for a few more seconds!"
"Blade stealers!" The Geckle yelled, ignoring Cole.
"Filthy takers!" A Munce yelled.
"Traitors!" A Geckle yelled.
Pretty soon, the Geckles and Munce come at each other and start wrestling each other. Some were throwing one another, climbing on each other, dropping cauldrons of glop on their heads as the Ninja look on helplessly. "Hey, knock it off!" Kai yelled.
"Stop this at once!" Blake yelled, coming up to a Munce, who punches him, to knock him aside, and comes at the nearest Geckle.
"We may have a problem." Zane said as he and Gewuji help a now black eye sporting Blake.
"You think?" Cole sarcastically asked before a couple of spears land near their feet and they look up to see some black skeletons on a watchtower.
"New plan!" Lloyd said. "Jay, Nya, take out that tower." Jay and Nya put on their hoods. "Everyone else, run!" Jay and Nya do Spinjitzu and charge at the watchtower while the others put their hoods on, except Cole, who didn't have his anymore, as they ran. Jay and Nya break the front legs of the watchtower, sending it falling back and into the lava pit, along with the two skeletons.
Lloyd, Kai, Zane, Cole, Geoff, Gewuji and Blake head for a nearby tunnel among the fighting Geckles and Munce. "Blade stealer!" A Geckle yelled, making Cole stop and turn to see the Geckle trying to punch a Munce, who was holding him back.
"Geckle thief!" He replied as the others turn to see the whole fight.
"I don't believe this!" Lloyd said.
"They're all fighting like spoiled babies." Geoff replied.
"Think we should stop them?" Gewuji asked.
"How?" Blake asked. "There are too many of them."
"Guys, move it!" Cole yelled out to the Geckles and Munce. "Run!"
The Munce turns to the side, making the Geckle tumble. "This is painful!" Lloyd said. "Cole, can't you get them to move?"
"I'm open to suggestions!" He turns to Murt, who was holding up the Geckle with the eyepatch. "Murt? Murt! Hey, Murt, run!"
Murt puts the Geckle down. "Murt run." He said before taking off as the Geckle gets up.
"Every Geckle for themselves!" He called out to his fellow Geckles.
"Let's get out of here." Kai said. "We'll come back!"
They immediately rush for the tunnel, only for some skeletons to land in front of them. Cole picks up a nearby ball and chain, swings it, and throws it at them, breaking them all apart. "Strike!" He said.
Kai, Zane, Geoff and Blake turn around to see some skeletons coming up behind them before they get out their weapons and charge at them. Kai strikes one with his sword as Blake strikes on with his axe, Geoff strikes another with his bisento and Zane throws a shuriken at another, all of them breaking apart. One skeleton comes at Lloyd, who strikes it with his sword, making it break apart while Gewuji struck another with her baton, causing it to break apart as well. One comes at Kai, who strikes it down. "These guys go down so easily." The Ninja regroup as more skeletons land behind them and they turn to them.
Blake raises his left hand before holding it out, intending to blow them with Wind, but nothing happens, surprising him. Zane then swung his arms around to try and conjure some Ice, and held them out, only for nothing to happen as well. "My Elemental Powers appear ineffective!" He said, completely surprised.
"There's something down here messing with our powers." Cole replied. "But Spinjitzu still works! Ninjago!" He immediately does Spinjitzu and charges at some skeletons, breaking them apart before dispersing.
Lloyd, Kai, Zane, Geoff and Blake look at each other before they do Spinjitzu as well and charge at the skeletons, breaking some apart as they pass through them. They soon disperse before roaring was heard and they turn to the temple to see the lava flow opening up, and the gangplank drops down. "Who dares disturb the Skull Sorcerer?" The Skull Sorcerer asked as he flew out of the temple before charging.
The Ninja were in shock to see him. "Yep, that's him. That's who I was telling you about."
They immediately turn left and make a run for the tunnel entrance, only for the Skull Sorcerer to come in front of them. "There's 9 of us and one of you, buddy." Blake said.
The Skull Sorcerer raises the glowing skull in his hand. "Rise, my children!" He called out.
"Rise!" The skull said as it glows.
Pretty soon, all the skeletons that were in pieces start to reform around the Ninja. "What the hell?" Kai asked as the skeletons had fully reformed.
"They also get up easily." Jay replied as they all poise.
The Skull Sorcerer laughs as more skeletons start to surround them. "You will never again see the sun." He said before the skeletons charge at the Ninja.
Within minutes, they were stripped of their weapons, armour and accessories before they were forced over to some rocks, cuffed with balls and chains around their waists, where a skeleton throws some pickaxes toward them before it snarls, motioning them to start working. They soon pick up the pickaxes to begin work, among the recaptured Geckles and Munce. "Worst. Rescue. Ever."
"What?" Kai asked. "I asked if someone had a better idea."
"Then we should've thought about it before charging in." Gewuji sarcastically replied before they start working on hitting the rocks with their pickaxes to excavate something.
