Never Trust a Snake

The falcon was flying through the sky before it perched on some power lines and scared away some birds. The falcon stood there and surveyed the scenery for a moment, acting normal before turning his head.

"Wake up, Zane," the falcon suddenly spoke. "I know where you come from."

Zane then shot up with a gasp and bumped his head on the top bunk, he rubbed his head as he looked around and saw that he was back in his bunk room. He then got out of his bed while taking a breather, looked out the window, and saw the falcon.

Zane looked around his bunk room and he saw that Kai, Cole, and Jay weren't there, so, he left the room and went to the bridge and saw Wu and Nya while Wu checked the map.

"The hunt starts early today," Zane commented as Wu lowered the map.

"A watchful eye never sleeps," Wu said to him.

"As long as Lloyd, Melissa, and the Serpentine roam freely, no one in Ninjago is safe," Nya pointed out.

"Where are the others?" Zane asked them as he noticed the rest of the team wasn't there.

"Training on the upper deck," Wu answered as Zane nodded and went outside.

When Zane got to the deck, however, he didn't see the others, other than junk around the deck, and he looked down and saw nothing but clouds below them. He then looked up and saw the falcon perched on the mast.

"You were in my dream, little friend," Zane said with a smile to the bird. "Last time I saw you, you led me to good fortune, what reason for you to return?" He asked as the falcon flew off the mast and away from the Bounty as Zane followed.

Zane stopped on the bow of the Bounty as he watched the falcon fly away. He looked down to see if there was anything below the Bounty, but then a shadow crept up from behind and he felt a familiar presence behind him.

"Lord Garmadon," Zane said without looking as he turned and saw Garmadon standing behind him, "but you were banished."

"Only to return for the Weapons of Spinjitzu," Garmadon cut Zane off as he drew two swords. "Soon, I will have the power to recreate Ninjago in my own image." He declared as he charged at Zane who dodged the swipe of his swords and landed behind him as he drew his shurikens. "Give me your shurikens of ice!" He demanded.

"You'll have to take them from me," Zane countered as he then used his Spinjitzu, "NINJA-GO!"

Zane charged at the dark lord, only for Garmadon to grab him by his throat, cutting off his Spinjitzu, and then he flung him back to the deck of the ship and he crashed among the junk.

"So be it," Garmadon said as he cut the rope right next to him which was holding a crate over the Bounty on the pole as it fell towards Zane.

Zane shut his eyes and braced himself for impact, but it never came. When he opened his eyes, he saw a young man with the strength that matched Cole holding onto the crate, but then Zane got caught by someone using Spinjitzu to move him to safety as the man threw the crate away.

Zane saw the two people who saved him in two stylish ninja gis with shoulder pads and armor on their hoods, but Zane paid more attention to their colors as he realized who they were.

"The Green and Purple Ninjas of Yin and Yang," Zane said in a surprised tone as the two ninjas did a pose. "The legend is true."

The purple ninja offered a hand to Zane which he accepted, but then Zane took notice of the purple ninja's appearance. They had blue eyes with eyelashes and that they had a more feminine appearance while the green ninja had a male appearance, which could only mean one thing.

The purple ninja was a girl.

Just then, Garmadon drew his two swords as he flipped in front of them, but the two ninjas did a flip as the green ninja attacked from the front and the purple ninja attacked from behind, and Zane was surprised by how quickly they moved as he focused on the two ninjas attacking Garmadon.

Garmadon thrust his swords at them, but the two ninjas stood on each sword in perfect balance as Garmadon twirled around as the two spun a bit, the purple ninja skidded across the deck while the green ninja grabbed onto the pole and did a flip before landing perfectly on his feet.

Garmadon threw his swords at them, but they ducked as the two ninjas walked to each side and did Spinjitzu around the pole which were their own colors with sparkling green and purple energy, and Zane was in awe at how impressive the two ninjas were almost as agile and skilled as he was.

Garmadon jumped onto the deck as the green ninja punched Garmadon twice and the purple ninja punched him from behind. The two ninjas and the dark lord clashed as Garmadon tried to do a drop kick onto them before the two flipped away onto the deck.

What surprised Zane even more was that the green ninja pulled out the Nunchucks of Lightning while the purple ninja pulled out the Sword of Fire, and Zane gasped when he saw them, knowing that only Kai and Jay could master those weapons.

The two ninjas powered up the weapons as if they knew how to use them. Garmadon grabbed one of his swords and ran at the two ninjas, but then the green ninja slapped him straight in the face with the nunchucks which caused Garmadon to slide across the deck as he tried to balance himself near the edge of the Bounty, but then the purple ninja fired a fireball which knocked Garmadon off the ship and he fell screaming to his death.

Zane turned to the two ninjas who, after high-fiving each other, turned to Zane with their eyes on fire, and the falcon flew onto the green ninja's arm, and the purple ninja's fist went on fire.

"Who are you two?" Zane asked as he slowly approached them. "Kai, Nya, is that you?" He asked in suspicion, but the two ninjas just kept looking at Zane as a bunch of falcons appeared on the deck. "What is the meaning of this? Who are you guys?"

Zane then woke up with a startled gasp bumping his head on the top bunk. He rubbed his head as he saw Kai, Cole, and Jay getting ready for the day.

"Oh, sleeping in, you're gonna be late for training," Jay pointed out.

"How come no one woke me?" Zane asked with a groan.

"We didn't think you wanted us to," Kai smirked. "You looked like you were having some dream."

"Well, how do I know that this isn't a drea..." Zane was cut off when Cole hit him with a pillow.

"Does that feel like a dream?" Cole asked with a teasing smirk.

"No, but thank you for your help," Zane said sarcastically which caused the others to laugh.

After the ninjas put on their ninja gis, they all headed outside and went to the deck to begin today's training as Kai, Cole, and Jay gave Zane an amused look.

Kai then gave a slight chuckle. "A little slow today, huh, Zane?" He asked playfully. "What exactly did you dream about?"

"I saw the falcon again," Zane answered as the others were surprised.

"Whoa! Zane, every time you see that bird, something big happens," Jay pointed out. "First, it led you to Lloyd and Melissa's secret treehouse."

"And, then, it led you to the Bounty," Cole added in agreement.

But, before any of them could continue, their conversation was cut short when Wu came up in front of them.

"Alright, stretches first, the Swooping Crane," Wu said as he did a crane stance as the ninjas followed his example.

"Well, this time, it showed me the Ninjas of Yin and Yang," Zane whispered as the others immediately turned to him in shock.

"THE NINJAS OF YIN AND YANG!" Kai, Cole, and Jay exclaimed.

Wu heard this, and when he turned around, he saw Cole covering his ears, Jay covering his mouth, and Kai covering his ears while Zane remained in a crane stance.

"That looks like the Shocked Monkey," Wu commented as the others gave him a sheepish look. "Bad form, more focus," he said as he resumed his stance and the others did the same.

"You can't just drop a bomb like that, spill the beans," Jay whispered.

"Yeah, what else did you see?" Cole asked.

"They were fighting Lord Garmadon," Zane stated.

"That's what the prophecy said, that the Ninjas of Yin and Yang would defeat the dark lord," Kai reminded him before asking the question on his and the others' minds, "But did you have a chance to see which one of us were either one of them?"

Cole and Jay muttered in agreement wanting to know which one of them was the two Chosen Ones.

"I could not tell. They share attributes that each one of us possesses," Zane said honestly. "However, in my dream, the purple ninja is revealed to be a girl."

"A girl?" The others whispered in shock before Jay spoke up. "What do you mean the purple ninja is a girl?"

"From what I could tell, the purple ninja had a female appearance," Zane explained. "She had a girl's body, and she also had bright blue eyes that belonged to a girl, so I can safely confirm that the purple ninja is a girl."

"Wait, if the purple ninja is a girl, then does that mean that it's Nya?" Kai theorized.

"That is a high possibility," Zane said.

"Now, Pinching Crab," Wu said as he bent down a bit and pinched his hands as the others copied him.

"Well, tell us everything, and don't spare any details," Kai said to Zane. "Even though, none of us are gonna be the purple ninja, there's still a chance to prove that one of us is gonna be the green ni..." he was cut off when Wu started pulling on his hair, "OW-OWOWOWOW! Hey!" He said in pain as they turned to a cross-looking Wu.

"What was so important that you ignored my teachings?" Wu questioned the four sternly as the ninjas looked at each other nervously.

"Uh, n-nothing," Kai lied.

"It was nothing, Sensei," Jay vouched.

"Yeah, we don't talk while you teach," Cole said in agreement.

"Everyone was paying attention," Zane added.

Wu wasn't convinced at all and shook his head. "Since you all appear to be lacking in focus, then you can all share the punishment," he declared.

"What?" Kai exclaimed.

"Punishment?" Jay repeated.

"It was all Zane," Cole blamed.

"I was merely answering their questions," Zane called out in defense.

Wu remained unmoved. "No free time and no video games," he said sternly as the four gawked at him. "The rest of the day can be used for training and tomorrow for that matter," he stated as he walked up the stairs of the Bounty.

"Training, but for how long?" Cole whined.

"Until you can answer this simple riddle: What is the best way to defeat an enemy?" Wu asked cryptically.

"Easy, with a sword," Kai said as he did a flip and posed like he was holding a sword.

"Your fists," Jay said as he punched the air.

"Spinjitzu," Cole spoke next as he spun around.

"Tornado of Creation?" Zane guessed doing a pose of the technique he said.

Wu just gave a sigh as he continued to walk up the stairs. "Ah, pace yourselves, you have a lot of training ahead of you," he said to them as he climbed the stairs. "Make sure you sharpen your mind as well as well as your Spinjitzu," he advised as he continued up the stairs.

The four looked down in defeat as they got ready to train.

"Ah, what is the best way to defeat an enemy? It could be anything," Cole said as he brought out a bamboo staff and twirled it around.

"Come on, guys, we're smart, we can figure this out," Jay said as he flipped through the axes on the wheel.

A punching bag popped up in front of Kai before he punched it. He then looked to see Wu go into the bridge and out of view before he and the others walked over to Zane.

"Yeah, but let's hear more about this dream," Kai said as they listened to Zane.

"Let me just say that the Green and Purple Ninjas of Yin and Yang were awesome," Zane said before telling them about his dream.

Up on the icy mountains of the frozen wastes, The Fangpyer, Lloyd, and Melissa were making their way towards the Hypnobrai, and Lloyd and Melissa were riding with Fangtom on a Bite-Cycle.

Meanwhile, at the top of the mountain, a Hypnobrai scout saw the Fangpyer army approaching and gasped before running back to his tribe as Skales and Selma stood at the front.

"It isss just assss we feared, General, the Fangpyer are free," the scout reported as he kneeled before his superior, "And what'ssss more, the children are with them."

"Ugh, not thossse bratssss again," Skales groaned in annoyance. "They really don't know when to quit, do they?"

"Well, you did banish them, Ssskales," Selma said with a shrug. "Regardlessss, I am curioussss asss to how they managed to find the Fangpyer'ssss tomb."

"How issss not important," Skales said with a determined look. "What matterssss isss to show thossse bratssss and the Fangpyer that I will not tolerate tressspassersss on my land, charge!" He ordered as The Hypnobrai advanced.

In the distance, Melissa saw the Hypnobrai approaching. "I can see the Hypnobrai up ahead," she informed, "And it looks like they are ready for a fight."

"Well, then, I guess it's time to teach them a lesson for betraying us," Lloyd declared with a smirk.

"Alright, do your thing, Fangtom," Melissa told the Fangpyer general. "I mean, we did let you and your army out of your hole for a reason."

"Attack!" Fangtom ordered as the Fangpyer cheered while they advanced to the top and the Hypnobrai were coming.

But, little did Lloyd and Melissa know, was that Fangtom intended on leading the Hypnobrai himself once their general was defeated and disposing of the two kids when they were done.

Soon, both tribes stopped in the middle and the Fangpyer general hopped off the Bite-Cycle to meet with the Hypnobrai general until Fangtom realized the general and second in command leading them were not the ones he expected, and his rage quickly turned to joy as Skales and Selma quickly recognized him as well.

"Fangtom?" Skales and Selma asked with a smile.

"Skalessss, Ssselma, my old chumssss," Fangtom said with joy, catching Lloyd and Melissa off guard. "I didn't think I'd be fighting you two," both generals came close and fist-bumped each other while Selma walked up next to Skales and Fangtom gave her a hug. "Hmm, moved up in the world, have we?"

"Well, if it isn't Fangtom," Skales said with a smile, "of all the cold-blooded to creep upon usss, I'm glad that it isss a friend."

"It hasss been a long time, Fangtom," Selma said with a bright smile, "And ssstill the sssame Fangpyer general we know," she said playfully.

"And, I sssee that you two... Are leading your tribe... And together might I asssk, hmm?" Fangtom asked with a grin.

"Well, Ssskales did choose me after Ssslithraa sssteped down asss general," Selma said with a slight blush while rubbing the back of her head.

"And, every general needssss a sssecond in command," Skales said with a smile towards Selma as she gave a slight chuckle.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Wait a minute, time out," Lloyd spoke up as he and Melissa were confused. "I thought you guys were enemies, not friends."

"Yeah, what the heck is all of this crap?" Melissa asked.

"Young children, you ssshould know that we've known each other ssssince before we were ssssealed in our tombsss," Selma pointed out.

"And, we were enemiesssss at war," Fangtom explained, "But ssseeing that Skalessss and Sssselma are now leading them... Well, I don't sssee why we can't be comrades," he added with a shrug much to Lloyd and Melissa's disbelief.

"Had you two releasssed the Constrictai, the Venomari, or Heaven forbid, the Anacondrai, then we would've had a tussssle," Skales told the two kids with a casual smile.

"A tussle, a tussle!" Lloyd exclaimed in shock, "But we're Lloyd Garmadon and Melissa Zhau, the bringers of evil."

"Yeah, that's just not fair," Melissa added.

The three ignored him as Fangtom's own second in command, Fangdam, joined them, Fangdam looked like Fangtom because he was not just his second in command, but he was also his brother and even had two heads, but that's because he was accidentally bitten by another Fangpyer which mutated him by giving him a second head.

"Heh-heh, so, what should we do with them?" Skales asked the two Fangpyers and his second in command.

"I wasss thinking... That I could turn them... Into one of usss," Fangtom suggested as Lloyd and Melissa realized that Fangtom was planning on betraying them from the start.

"Hm, nah, thossse little tykes are pretty useless," Skales told his friend.

"Fangdam, do you have any ideassss?" Selma asked as Fangdam just hissed and growled much to Skales and Selma's confusion.

"I apologize for my brother... But, ever ssssince the incident... When he accidentally got mutated into thisss... By one of my own... He hassss losssst... The ability to ssspeak," Fangtom explained as Fangdam nodded his two heads which Skales and Selma understood. "However, I can undersssstand... Each growl and hiss he makessss... And he sssaid, what if you two hypnotized them... And make them think they are pigs?" He added with a chuckle.

"That'd be pretty funny," Skales said in amusement as the four snakes laughed.

"Ha-ha, can you imagine?" Fangtom asked.

"I have to admit, it does sssound amusssing," Selma said with a chuckle.

"Uhh, Lloyd, I think we should go, like now," Melissa whispered as she and Lloyd snuck away.

Lloyd and Melissa hopped off the Bite-Cycle and tried to make a run for it before the Hypnobrai and Fangpyer noticed them trying to flee surrounding them.

Lloyd and Melissa got on top of the Rattlecopter and hugged each other as they were getting close. The copter, however, noticed them and growled before it flung them both into the air.

Lloyd and Melissa screamed before landing in a pile of snow, and they both got up and dusted themselves off and clearly were not happy after being betrayed again.

"I can't believe that we got betrayed again. How is this possible? How?" Melissa asked in annoyance. "I swear, if I had a nickel for every time we got betrayed by The Serpentine, I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice, right?"

"Yeah, no kidding," Lloyd muttered in agreement before grabbing the map. "Well, looks like it's time to find another tomb, I guess."

"Yeah, but what tribe are we gonna try now?" Melissa asked.

"Don't worry, I think I know which one we should find next," Lloyd said with an evil smirk as he and Melissa went to find the next Serpentine tomb.

Back at the Bounty, Zane was still explaining his dream as the others listened carefully.

"With the falcon perched on the green ninja's arm and the purple ninja's fist on fire," Zane finished telling them about his dream.

"Whoa!" The others said in awe.

"So, Nya's the purple, and I'm the green ninja," Kai breathed in awe.

"What are you talking about?" Cole questioned with a look. "The green ninja had incredible strength to lift the cargo and save his life," he pointed out, "It's me."

"No, no, no, did you miss the part of the story where the green ninja pulled out nunchucks?" Jay questioned as he pulled out his nunchucks. "I have Nunchucks."

"I think you're all missing the point. The point is that the falcon flew on the green ninja's arm and that it was my dream," Zane reminded them, "So naturally it's me."

"Guys, in case you forgot, the purple ninja pulled out the Sword of Fire and had her fist on fire, and it's probably Nya, my sister, who is the purple ninja," Kai pointed out to them. "All of that proves that I'm the green ninja."

"I think we can cross Cole off the list," Jay jumped in, "I could've lifted it ten times."

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Cross me off the list?" Cole questioned while giving Jay a look. "Anyone can hold nunchucks," he pointed out as Wu entered from below deck.

"Since you are not training, you must've found the answer to my riddle," Wu stated which got their attention. "What is the best way to defeat an enemy?" He asked them his riddle again.

The four realized that they had been so distracted about Zane's dream, that they forgot that they were supposed to be training or finding an answer to Wu's riddle.

"Umm, yes, Sensei, the riddle," Kai said in a panic that he decided to answer the first thing that came to mind. "Uhh, the best way to defeat your enemy is... To... Train, Sensei?" He guessed hopefully with a nervous smile.

"Feeble and incorrect," Wu answered quickly as the ninjas lowered their heads in shame. "Maybe, more training will help you focus," he said as he walked backward below deck again. "Remember what happened to your vehicles when you lose focus? A razor-sharp weapon is an extension of a razor-sharp mind," he advised as the door closed in front of him.

The four of them groaned as they knew that they would be training for a while until they could figure out an answer to Wu's riddle.

"We now have a clue as to who the purple ninja is, but how am I supposed to focus, if we don't know who the green ninja is?" Jay asked the others.

"I don't want to be training all day," Cole complained. "Let's work together on this riddle, we can figure it out," he said as they got back to training.

Meanwhile, Lloyd and Melissa were walking through a sea of sand while looking at the map searching for the next Serpentine tomb, and they were still sore about being betrayed twice in a row.

"Had you released the Constrictai, the Venomari, or Heaven forbid, the Anacondrai, then we would've had a tussle," Lloyd mocked Skales' words. "Ugh, releasing the Fangpyer was a waste of time."

"Yeah, no kidding," Melissa agreed almost as ticked off as Lloyd was. "Hey, how much further are we to the next tomb, cause my feet are killing me."

Lloyd looked at the map before looking up and saw a structure that had a stone shaped like a snake fang making it look bigger than it was.

"There it is, Melissa, we found it!" Lloyd cheered as he and Melissa rushed up to the structure and brushed the door. "The Anacondrai, the most feared and powerful Serpentine of them all, and if they are afraid of the Anacondrai..."

"Then, the Anacondrai is what they are gonna get," Melissa finished as she and Lloyd did their evil laughs, knowing that if they could command the strongest Serpentine Tribe ever, then the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyers would have no choice but to beg for their forgiveness.

But once Lloyd and Melissa opened the tomb, they saw that the room had little light. Lloyd took out a flashlight, and they both looked around and saw nothing but old weapons, flags, and skeleton bones scattered everywhere which made the two kids nervous.

"Wh-what happened here?" Lloyd asked in a nervous tone. "Where are all The Anacondrais?"

"Lloyd, I don't wanna be that person but... I don't think there are any Anacondrais left," Melissa told her best friend as she looked at the skeleton bones.

"Well, that's just great," Lloyd said in an annoyed tone before grabbing the map. "I guess we'll just go and try the Venomari next."

"Yeah, let's just go, 'cause this was a waste of time," Melissa agreed as she and Lloyd were about to leave the abandoned tomb.

But, then, a face appeared behind Lloyd and Melissa as it hissed at them and turned visible, revealing it to be a male purple snake with black and gold markings a gem on his forehead, and a very long neck. Startled by him, Lloyd and Melissa screamed as they fell to the floor and dropped the flashlight.

"My ssssinceresssst apologiessss, young children," the Anacondrai apologized as he slithered around Lloyd and Melissa and picked up the flashlight. "I'm afraid, due to my unfortunate appearance, I tend to have an unssssettling effect on people," he said as he gave Lloyd his flashlight back. "Oh, I believe you dropped this," he said as Lloyd took the flashlight. "There you are."

"Oh, uhh, thank you," Lloyd said nervously.

"Um, what happened to the others?" Melissa asked as she looked around the tomb.

"Poor unfortunate soulssss," the Anacondrai said with a shake of his head. "All those yearssss locked away, nothing to eat, must've sssslowly sssstarved away till they were just sssscales and bonessss."

Melissa felt like something was off about this Anacondrai when he was explaining, and the fact she heard his stomach growling while explaining that, wasn't making her very comfortable around him.

"So, you're the only Anacondrai left?" Lloyd asked.

"Oh, no, I'm not the only one left," the Anacondrai said with a chuckle before turning to the empty tomb. "It'ssss alright, my dear, you can come out now, they mean no harm."

Just then, Lloyd and Melissa saw a female Anacondrai appear, and she looked to be the same age as they were and she had the same markings and a gem on her forehead as the male Anacondrai, but unlike him, she didn't have a long neck.

"Oh, um, hi," the young female Anacondrai greeted them nervously. "It'ssss, uhh, really nice to meet you, I guessss."

"Is she OK?" Melissa asked.

"Oh, my niece tends to get nervousssss around people she hasssn't met," the male Anacondrai explained before turning to the two kids. "Oh, where are my mannerssss? We haven't been introduced yet, sssso, who might you two be, my little appetize..." he stopped himself after realizing what he almost said, "Oh, I mean friendssss?"

"I'm Lloyd Garmadon, son of Lord Garmadon, and this is my best friend-slash-second in command, Melissa Zhau," Lloyd answered not hearing the near slip-up, "And we're the future dark rulers of Ninjago," he declared ominously.

"Yeah, that's us," Melissa said suspiciously as she did catch it.

"Garmadon?" The young female Anacondrai asked in surprise. "He'ssss your father?"

"Yeah, wait, do you know him?" Lloyd asked.

"In a way, yesss, we have and let'ssss just sssay, that we have hisssstory with each other," the male Anacondrai explained, "And you are his heir to the throne of Ninjago," he then shivered, "Ooh-hoo-hoo, how delicioussssly evil. If I had feet, oh, I'd be trembling in my bootsss."

"And, uhh, who are you guys anyway?" Melissa asked.

"Humbly, I am Pythor P. Chumsworth," the male Anacondrai introduced himself before placing a hand on the young female Anacondrai, "And thissss is my young niece, Rattalia."

"Hi, it'ssss nice to meet you two," Rattalia greeted before she gave an embarrassed look. "Wait, I think I already sssssaid that."

"It's nice to meet you too, Rattalia," Lloyd said with a smile.

Pythor then smiled pleasantly at the two kids, "And ssssince you two have freed ussss, we are forever in your debt," he said graciously and bowed his head.

"Wait, really?" Lloyd asked hopefully.

"Wait a second," Melissa spoke up before giving Pythor a suspicious look. "You're not gonna trick us, are you?"

"Oh, why would we want to trick you?" Pythor asked amusingly. "You both freed us, ssso it seemssss fair that we sssserve you asss a thank you for freeing usss."

"And, me and my uncle hardly have any friendsssss," Rattalia said solemnly. "All we have issss each other."

"Whoa! Me and Melissa hardly have any friends too, and all we have is each other as well," Lloyd said in joy as he found that they were more relatable to Pythor and Rattalia than he thought.

"Really?" Rattalia asked in surprise.

"My, it is a ssssmall realm after all," Pythor commented.

"Hey, how would you guys like to be our loyal henchmen?" Lloyd asked with an eager smile as he turned away from the two Anacondrai.

"I'm sorry, what?" Melissa said looking at her best friend in shock.

"Me and Melissa have been betrayed by the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyers," Lloyd explained, not seeing that Pythor was getting ready to eat him and Melissa while Rattalia actually looked intrigued by Lloyd's offer, "And we're thinking about getting a little revenge on some ninja too."

Pythor then noticed the map that was on Lloyd's belt, and when he saw it, a new plan came to his mind.

"Hmm, we love revenge," Pythor cheered excitedly.

"Yeah, that actually ssssounds like fun," Rattalia agreed with a smile. "You know, I feel like thissss is a sssstart of a great friendship."

"Um, Lloyd, can I talk to you please?" Melissa asked as she gave a small look towards Pythor and Rattalia, "Alone?"

"Oh, um, sure," Lloyd said confused.

Melissa led Lloyd a few steps away from the two Anacondrais before speaking. "Lloyd, are you sure about trusting these two?" She asked in concern, "Because something seems off about that Pythor guy, he's giving me bad vibes."

"Look, Melissa, you have nothing to worry about," Lloyd told her with confidence. "I get that you're concerned about getting betrayed again, but Pythor and Rattalia seem reasonable and are nothing like the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyers, trust me, it's gonna be fine."

Melissa still wasn't convinced and felt like Pythor was not trustworthy, however, she did trust Lloyd and his words.

"Alright, I trust you and I'll give them a chance," Melissa said with a sigh, "But don't think that I'm not gonna keep my eye on them in case they try any funny business."

"Wouldn't expect you to," Lloyd said with a smile as Pythor and Rattalia slithered up to them.

"You know, I think you three kidssss should go into town and cause ssssome mischief," Pythor suggested to them. "You know, to get to know each other more."

"That ssssounds great, Uncle," Rattalia said excitedly.

"Yeah, it does sound fun," Lloyd agreed before looking at his best friend, "Right, Melissa?"

Melissa thought about it before giving them a smile. "Alright, I'm in because I am craving some candy."

"Well, go on and have fun," Pythor told the kids as Lloyd and Melissa went to the tomb's entrance, but then he stopped his niece, "And Rattalia, dear, you know what I need you to do, right?"

"I know what to do, grab the map when Lloyd and Melissssa aren't looking. I won't let you down, Uncle, " Rattalia told him before she headed to the entrance to catch up with Lloyd and Melissa.

"Oh, I know you won't," Pythor said sinisterly before giving an evil chuckle.

Back on Destiny's Bounty, the ninjas were grunting as they continued to train while also trying to figure out the riddle. Zane was practicing his balance, Jay was working on some flipping, Kai was hitting a punching bag, and Cole was practicing with a bamboo staff.

"Anyone got a solution to Sensei's riddle?" Cole asked as he kept spinning the staff.

"It can't be that hard," Jay said as he kept flipping around, "What's the best way to defeat an enemy?"

"Zane, you're smart, what is it?" Kai asked as he grunted at each punch.

"That bothers me because, while we're stuck here training, the enemy is playing," Cole said as he slammed the staff on the ground.

"Who knows what those two brats and those snakes are doing, but anything is possible," Kai said as he kept punching the bag, "But as long as we work together we can..." he trailed off when he realized what he said.

"That's it!" They cheered with a smile.

Out in Ninjago, however, Lloyd, Melissa, and Rattalia were literally playing, and the first thing they did was ride on some scooters they stole, trashing the streets as much as they could and laughing the whole way, ignoring the indignant shouting from the angry villagers.

The next thing they did was take out the sign that said 'Do Not Touch the Grass'. As Rattalia removed the sign, the three chuckled and Lloyd, Melissa, and Rattalia jumped on the grass and rolled around in it.

Then, they took a break for some ice cream and they stole a cart from the vendor as Lloyd and Melissa were sharing a cone that had all the flavors as the vendor yelled.

"Hey, you can't do that!" The vendor yelled angrily as they moved away from him.

A little bit later, the three were at the pond as they tossed some rocks and they hit two toy boats the boys who were playing with them started to cry and Lloyd, Melissa, and Rattalia laughed at their mischief.

Then, they committed the cruelest, but oldest evil deed in the book: taking candy from babies. Literally, they were taking candy from babies as they placed them in a wagon full of ill-gotten sugary goodies and the babies cried as they kept going.

After leaving the village, Lloyd, Melissa, and Rattalia kept laughing as they walked back to the Anacondrai's tomb with enough candy and food for them as well, and Rattalia was having so much fun with Lloyd and Melissa that she completely forgot about what she was supposed to do.

Sometime later, Lloyd, Melissa, and Rattalia were laying on their backs in a circle as the three troublemakers had come down in a sugar crash.

"Rattalia, you're the best henchman two masterminds could ever have," Lloyd said with a smile.

"Yeah, you're pretty cool with me, Rattalia," Melissa agreed, although she still didn't trust Pythor.

"Guyssss, you two are the bessst massstermindssss a henchman could ever have," Rattalia replied as the three kids chuckled at each other. "Oh, man, I wish my dad was here to ssssee thissss."

Lloyd and Melissa looked at each other in concern before looking back at Rattle.

"What happened to your dad?" Melissa asked.

Rattalia gave a sad sigh before answering. "He wassss banished to the Curssssed Realm shortly after I wassss born," she answered sadly. "My uncle took me in after we got locked up in here."

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Rattalia," Melissa apologized.

"It'ssss okay, I don't blame you guysssss," Rattalia told them before looking down in sadness. "I jussst really missss him, and wish I could sssspend more time with him. I don't expect you two to undersssstand how I feel."

"Actually, we do," Lloyd admitted in an understanding tone. "I never actually met my dad in real life, and I've heard a lot about him, but never met him, and I don't even remember my mother or who she was."

"And, as far as I know, I've been an orphan all of my life," Melissa said in a sad tone, "So as you can see, Rattalia, we know exactly how it feels to not have parents."

Rattalia was surprised to hear that Lloyd and Melissa actually understood how she felt, and it made her question her uncle, and if he actually cared about her.

"Well, I can ssssee that you three are getting along," Pythor spoke up as he slithered towards the kids. "Although, Lloyd, Melissa, why isss it that you two are the only friendssss you both have?"

"Yeah, why issss that?" Rattalia asked as well. "Don't you guyssss have any other friendssss?"

"Well, we could've had friends at Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Kids," Melissa started.

"But, we decided to run away and never let them see us again," Lloyd finished as he and Melissa gave their evil laughs.

Although their answers put the two Anacondrais off, "Really, but why would you two run away from making friendssss?" Pythor asked.

"Yeah, everybody needssss friendsssss, even Ssssserpentine," Rattalia added.

Lloyd and Melissa looked at each other before Melissa spoke up, "OK, OK, you got us, we didn't actually run away from the school."

"We uhh... We got kicked out," Lloyd said honestly as he and Melissa sat up straight.

"From Darkley's Boarding Sssschool for Bad Kids?" Rattalia asked in shock.

"I don't believe it," Pythor said in a surprised tone. "I hear they are THE breeding ground for the truly despicable, and if you assssk me, ho-ho, you two are a handful asss my dear niece here."

"My uncle hasss a point," Rattalia said as she licked a lollipop. "After what I sssaw in town, you two are worthy of carrying on Garmadon'ssss legacy."

"Wow! Thanks, guys," Lloyd said with a smile but still frowning, "But they said that we weren't bad enough, especially me, because the principal said that I lacked the amoral ambition to be one of tomorrow's masterminds," he explained.

"And, all because we made one little mistake, and because of that, we're now living on the streets," Melissa added.

"Well, you'll sssshow them," Rattalia said as she stood.

"That's right, we will show them," Lloyd declared as he and Melissa stood up too.

"Yeah, and I wanna rub it in Gene's stupid face when he sees how bad we are," Melissa said as she snickered at the thought.

Pythor then got an idea. "Then, why don't we do that?" He suggested with a smirk.

"Why don't we do what?" Lloyd, Melissa, and Rattalia asked in confusion.

"Let's get revenge on the very school that rejected you two," Pythor suggested as he pulled the three kids in, "And when the ninjas come to the rescue, we'll have a trap laid out for them."

"A double revenge?" Lloyd asked with an excited smile.

"Are you serious, Uncle Pythor?" Rattalia asked as well with the same tone.

Melissa stayed quiet as she looked at Pythor with a suspicious look as she knew he was up to something.

"That's right, a double revenge," Pythor answered with a smirk on his face. "Now, get some rest, children. You three hijacking an ice cream truck is a lot for anyone, and if you two are gonna rule the world, well, ho ho ho, you'll need to get your sleep," he advised.

"Well, you're right, we are a bit tired after causing some mischief today," Melissa admitted as she gave a yawn.

"Oh, Lloyd, Melissssa, one more thing," Rattalia said.

"Yeah?" Lloyd and Melissa asked curiously.

"I'll be your friend," Rattalia said with a smile.

Lloyd and Melissa smiled and yawned.

"Oh, Rattalia, you and Pythor are the best," Lloyd said as he and Melissa shared a hug with her before they went to sleep.

Pythor then saw the map sticking out of Lloyd's pocket as he turned to Rattalia and gestured for her to take it, Rattalia nodded and was about to grab it, but hesitated for a moment giving Lloyd the chance to turn over and put the map out of their grasp.

Pythor quietly facepalmed himself while giving Rattalia a disappointed look, and Rattalia gave him a sheepish smile and shrugged as she looked at Lloyd and Melissa and smiled softly at them sleeping.

"That wasss not the plan, young lady," Pythor told his niece with a look.

"I'm ssssorry, Uncle," Rattalia apologized, "But after ssspending sssso much time with Lloyd and Melissssa, I grew rather fond of them, and they don't sssseem ssso bad, and I actually do wanna be..."

"Friendssss with them," Pythor cut her off, "Have you forgotten that Lloyd'ssss father issss the one who banished your father to the Curssssed Realm?"

"It'ssss not Lloyd'ssss fault," Rattalia argued, "He probably wasssn't even born yet."

"He's ssstill the sssson of the man who locked usss in this wretched tomb," Pythor said sternly before he took a deep breath and looked at his niece. "Look, Rattalia, next time an opportunity comessss to take the map, do not hesitate to grab it, undersssstand me, young lady?"

Rattalia gulped nervously and nodded fearfully. "Y-Yesss, Uncle Pythor, I underssstand."

"Good, now get ssssome ressst, we have a lot to do," Pythor said as he slithered away.

Rattalia sighed sadly as she looked at Lloyd and Melissa who were still sleeping, and she was very worried and concerned about what her Uncle was going to do to the two kids she saw as her friends.

On Destiny's Bounty, Wu was in his quarters working on a scroll as the door opened, and the ninjas peeked inside and Wu looked up to see them enter.

"Oh, you must've found the answer to what is the best way to defeat an enemy?" Wu asked his pupils.

"We have, Sensei," Cole said with a smile before turning to the others, "On three guys, one two..."

"Teamwork!" The four called in unison bringing their fists together.

"Is this what you all think?" Wu asked as they all agreed. "Sadly, you are all wrong," he said as he went back to his scroll the four ninjas groaned and they left Wu's quarters and went outside.

"I'm starting to think whoever figures out this riddle could be the green ninja for all I care," Cole complained before the alarm went off and the lights blinked red.

"What's that?" Jay asked in surprise.

"Who cares?" Kai said in relief. "It's something else besides training," he said happily as the four went to the brig. "Break it down for me, Sis," he said to Nya.

"Lloyd, Melissa, and two Serpentine have overtaken Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Kids," Nya told them.

"That place is a cesspool for the crooked and the misbehaved," Jay pointed out, "Why would Lloyd and Melissa attack that place?"

"I don't know, but that doesn't mean they don't need our help," Kai told them, "Now, step on it!"

Zane ran over and pushed the button and the sails on the Bounty popped open as the rotors on the bottom turned on a fire underwater while everyone on board arrived.

"NINJA-GO!" The four ninjas shouted before Destiny's Bounty took flight and flew towards Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Kids.

Meanwhile, at the boarding school and inside of the building, Lloyd and Melissa laughed while a bunch of boys and girls were tied up with three skeletons hanging upside down with their mouths taped shut.

One skeleton had spikes on his head and a metal eye patch with blue armor and a blue belt, another was wearing a helmet and a monocle on his eye and his armor and belt were grey, and the last one was just wearing a rice hat and his armor and belt were white.

In the halls, Lloyd, Melissa, Rattalia, and Pythor were on skateboards as they rode through the halls.

"Ahh, Revenge is sweet, isn't it, Lloyd?" Melissa asked with a smirk.

"Heh, heh, yeah, it feels great," Lloyd agreed before turning to Pythor and Rattalia. "Hey, how are the booby traps?"

"Every door, window, and hole in thissss place are ssspring-loaded," Pythor told him.

"There issss no way thosssse ninjas are gonna get in here," Rattalia added.

"That's good to know," Lloyd said before frowning, "Because I'm sick and tired of those ninjas sneaking their way into our evil doings."

"But, now, we have the upper hand," Melissa said with a smirk, "Because if those ninjas are foolish to come here, then they are gonna be surprised," she added as they kept skateboarding.

Outside, and high above the school, the Bounty hovered over it as Zane and Kai looked down.

"Looks quiet down there," Zane said before looking back at the others. "Should we infiltrate using stealth?" He suggested.

"No, we've done that. Those brats might be prepared after what we did to their treehouse," Kai pointed out knowing that Lloyd and Melissa wouldn't be fooled like last time. "How about using our Golden Weapons that turn into vehicles?"

"I'm still working out the kinks on that," Cole said as he had his Spinjitzu vehicle out, "Any other ideas?"

Jay then walked up and hummed in thought. "Well, I have one idea, but you guys gotta trust me," he said with a smile under his hood which got the others concerned.

"Oh, I don't like the sound of this," Kai uttered worriedly.

On the rooftop of the school, Lloyd and Melissa paced around while Pythor and Rattalia stood with them near a cannon.

"Relax, children, we've made the perfect trap," Pythor assured them. "We're in broad daylight, ssso, there isn't any shadowssss."

"My uncle'ssss right, guyssss," Rattalia said in agreement, "But even if they could get in..."

Lloyd and Melissa then saw something on the ground go fast.

"What's that?" Lloyd and Melissa shouted in unison.

Pythor aimed the cannon before firing the net at whatever it was that they saw. The net flew across the air before it landed on a small lizard.

"That wassss jusssst a lizard guyssss," Rattalia told them as she and Pythor gave them a look.

"Oh, uhh, good, yeah, good reflexes," Lloyd acted cool. "We were just testing you."

"Yeah, that's what we were doing," Melissa agreed sheepishly, "Because these ninjas are clever, and if me and Lloyd know them, they are probably sneaking their way right past us at this very moment," she added.

At that moment, the ninjas were on the anchor of the ship while they, minus Jay, looked extremely nervous.

"Uhh, Jay, I don't know about this," Kai said nervously.

"Just hold on tight," Jay shouted before he signaled Nya to drop the anchor.

Nya reached over to a button and the anchor dropped down as the ninjas screamed holding onto the anchor, and the anchor was heading straight down towards the school as Lloyd, Melissa, Rattalia, and Pythor looked up and saw them coming.

"Incoming!" Melissa exclaimed as she, Lloyd, Rattalia, and Pythor quickly moved out of the way before the anchor crashed through the roof.

It smashed through the fourth floor, and then the third, and the ninjas sighed in relief thinking it was over until they went down to the second floor. The Ninjas coughed with the amount of dust they inhaled.

"OK, let's agree to never do that again," Cole said before they noticed that they fell to where the students and skeletons were.

Cole approached the students before he raised his scythe. The students panicked as they thought he was gonna do something before Cole swung his weapon and cut them free.

"Stay out of school kids," Cole told them as they ran out before turning his attention to the skeletons, "Well, well, well, Kruncha, Nuckle, and Wyplash. Substitute teachers, eh?" He asked with an amused smirk under his hood. "If we cut you three down, we better not catch you causing trouble in Ninjago again... Or else."

The three skeletons nodded before Cole cut them and they fell. Kruncha and Nuckle got up and bumped into each other before they ran out Wyplash just shook his head before following his associates.

"They're on the top floor!" Kai shouted as he pointed to Lloyd and Melissa on the rooftop as they were looking down the hole the ninjas made. "Let's get them!"

"Uh-oh!" Lloyd and Melissa said nervously.

"NINJA-GO!" The ninjas all shouted as they split up and went in different directions.

Kai and Zane Spinjitzued up the stairs, Cole climbed up the anchor, and Jay decided to go with something simpler: the elevator. He pressed the button to the top floor and listened to elevator music.

On the stairs, Kai and Zane Spinjitzued up as they reached the door on the top floor and kicked it down, charging in only to get stuck in a green slime-like glue by Pythor at the door.

"Ughhh!" Kai groaned in disgust.

"Ugh, I can't move," Zane grunted as he tried to break free.

Pythor laughed at them as Lloyd, Melissa, and Rattalia laughed as well and Pythor slithered away as the two ninjas looked frightened by his appearance.

"What kind of Serpentine was that?" Kai asked nervously.

"I believe that was an Anacondrai," Zane theorized.

Cole kept climbing the chain and he was getting closer to Lloyd and Melissa who gave a frightful gasp, and they moved away as Cole kept climbing.

In the elevator, Jay kept waiting as he was getting sleepy his head was feeling heavy and his eyelids were closing, and he shook himself to stay awake.

Cole made it to the top floor where Pythor was waiting for him.

"Prepare to eat dust," Cole said as he twirled his scythe and pointed at the Anacondrai.

Pythor then pulled a rope which caused the black ninja to trip and drop his weapons as Cole was hit by a dust bomb beneath him and started coughing, and Pythor slithered away as the elevator door opened and Jay flipped out and ran next to Cole.

"Oh, Lloyd and Melissa got purple Serpentine with them," Cole managed to say through the coughs. "Watch out for booby traps."

Jay looked around before he saw Pythor slithering away, and was surprised by his appearance.

"Whoa! That's one big snake," Jay said as he followed Pythor to the roof.

On the roof, Lloyd, Melissa, and Rattalia were waiting for Pythor, or rather panicking. as they knew that it wasn't just Pythor who was on his way.

"They're coming! They're coming! They're coming!" Lloyd called out in a panic.

"Oh, this is bad. What do we do?" Melissa said worriedly.

"OK, let'ssss not panic. I'm sure my Uncle hasss a plan," Rattalia assured her friends before she gave a nervous look, "At leasssst, I hope he doessss."

Pythor then came up and closed the trap door, and threw a broken piece of wood on it to lock it down. The four backed away as Jay flipped over the trap door and landed on his feet, twirling his nunchucks.

"Shocked to see me?" Jay quipped.

"Do something," Lloyd and Melissa told them as they hid behind the two Anacondrais.

Rattalia then saw the map from Lloyd's pocket, and she really didn't want to do it to her friends, but she had no choice and snatched the map and handed it to her Uncle. Lloyd and Melissa turned to Rattalia in shock.

"Rattalia?" Melissa asked.

"Wh-what are you doing?" Lloyd asked in confusion.

"I'm ssssorry, guyssss, but my uncle wanted your map," Rattalia said in a guilty tone. "I didn't wanna do thissss, but I have to obey my uncle's orderssss."

"And, you did well, my dear niece," Pythor said in a sinister tone.

"Grrr! I knew it!" Melissa exclaimed in anger. "I knew you couldn't be trusted."

"Wh-why would you do this?" Lloyd asked in a hurt tone. "I thought you were our friend, Pythor."

"Oh, pleasssse, all you two wanted wassss to make ussss your slavessss," Pythor said as he slithered up to them. "Well, ssssorry, my dear children. I have other plans," he added before giving the two kids an evil smirk. "Sssso, I guesssss this isssss goodbye."

Pythor then used his tail and pushed Lloyd and Melissa off the roof, and they screamed as they fell into the river right beside the school as Jay and Rattalia looked on horrified.

"NO!" Rattalia screamed in horror.

"OK, Lloyd and Melissa may be brats and all, but they don't deserve that," Jay exclaimed in anger as he went after the two Anacondrais.

Pythor saw this and moved out of the way as Jay slipped and nearly fell off of the roof as well, but held onto the edge.

"Well, it seemssss it's time for ussss to leave, Rattalia," Pythor said as he began to slither away. "Come now, my dear."

"But Uncle..." Rattalia was cut off when she saw the stern glare Pythor was giving her.

"I said, NOW, young lady!" Pythor said sternly as Rattalia nodded fearfully before the two Anacondrais turned invisible and disappeared out of thin air.

Just then, Kai, Cole, and Zane jumped on the roof, and they saw Jay hanging from the edge and they helped him up just as the Bounty lowered next to them, and Wu and Nya were on the deck.

"Jay, what happened?" Wu asked in concern.

"Those two Anacondrais betrayed Lloyd and Melissa," Jay explained in a panicked tone, "And then, that long-necked snake pushed them into the river," he added which shocked all of them.

"Find them now," Wu told the ninjas in a worried tone. "We need to make sure that Lloyd and Melissa are OK and safe."

The ninjas didn't need to be told twice as they got their weapons turned them into vehicles, and began to search and rescue Lloyd and Melissa.

Lloyd was being tossed around by the waters of the river as he to stay surfaced and not drown, and he was coughing up water. He looked around to see if he could find Melissa.

"Melissa! Melissa, where are you?" Lloyd called out, but no answer and he couldn't see her anywhere.

That worried Lloyd and he feared that his only friend might've drowned, but then he saw Melissa resurfacing and coughing up the water, Lloyd sighed in relief that she was okay, and then he swam up to her.

"Are you OK?" Lloyd asked in concern.

"I'm fine, thanks," Melissa coughed a little bit before she glared at Lloyd. "I told you that Pythor couldn't be trusted."

"OK, I get it, you were right. I was wrong, don't rub it in," Lloyd told her.

But then, Lloyd heard something up ahead, and he turned around and saw that the river was falling off an edge.

"Uhh, Melissa, question," Lloyd spoke in a worried tone. "Is it possible to fall off the edge of the Earth?"

"Uhh, technically, no," Melissa answered. "The Earth is round like a sphere, so it doesn't actually have an edge."

Lloyd and Melissa then realized that they were about to go over a waterfall, and they tried to swim away but they couldn't because of how fast the water was going, and realizing this, they both held onto each other and screamed as they went over the waterfall and fell into the river at the bottom.

It was now nighttime and Lloyd and Michelle emerged from the river, and they swam to land and coughed up the water that they inhaled. Melissa saw Lloyd lying on his back, looking at the sky and she could tell that he was very upset.

"Lloyd, are you OK?" Melissa asked.

"I give up," Lloyd said.

"Lloyd, remember the talk we had when we got kicked out of Darkley's?" Melissa reminded.

"Oh, just forget it, Melissa," Lloyd said in despair. "Everyone was right about us, we're not evil. I mean look at us, we saved a kid, we got laughed at for trying to be threatening, and we got betrayed by the Serpentine three times. We are not evil." Lloyd ranted before looking down in sadness. "I'm not evil. Everyone was right, I'm not like my dad."

Melissa looked at Lloyd, and she felt bad for him so she went up to him and gave him a big hug. Lloyd was surprised but he hugged her back, and they stayed like that for a while as they let their emotions out and eventually, they broke the hug.

"Thanks, Melissa, I needed that," Lloyd thanked her with a smile.

"Anything for my best friend," Melissa said with a small blush on her face when she saw Lloyd smile, and then she let out a small sigh. "So, I guess this is it, huh, we're no longer gonna be evil."

"It's probably for the best," Lloyd nodded in agreement, "But the only question now is, what are we gonna do now?"

"I guess the only thing we can do is find someplace to call home," Melissa said as Lloyd nodded in agreement.

But then, they got blinded by a bright light, and Lloyd and Melissa looked up and saw the Destiny's Bounty flying above, and then they saw the ninjas' vehicles heading towards them, and they stopped in front of them and their vehicles turned back into weapons as the Bounty landed, and Wu and Nya got out of the ship.

"Lloyd, thank goodness that you and your friend are all right," Wu said in relief.

"Look, we don't want any more trouble with you ninjas," Lloyd told them.

"Yeah, we're done doing evil things," Melissa added. "So, let us go and you'll never see us again."

"Oh, please, like we're gonna fall for that trick," Cole spoke up before turning to the other. "So, what should we do with them, wash their mouths out with soap for a year?"

"Ground them indefinitely?" Kai suggested.

"Have them sit in a corner for a century?" Zane followed.

"I know exactly what we must do," Wu said as Lloyd and Melissa gulped nervously.

Later that night, as Destiny's Bounty rested on a mountaintop, Lloyd and Melissa lay on two separate beds from across a room as Wu sat in the middle of the two, telling them a story.

"'And, that is why Jack the Rabbit never trusts a snake,' The End," Wu said as he closed the book.

"If my dad had read me that book, I would have never made that mistake," Lloyd said.

"The same goes for my parents, wherever they are or if they are still alive," Melissa said sadly.

"Don't apologize, children," Wu told them with a warm smile. "I'm sure that if your father were here Lloyd, it'd be the first book he read," he told his nephew before turning to Melissa, "And the same goes for your parents, Melissa, and I promise that we will find out what happened to them."

Hearing that made Melissa smile, and then they said their goodnights to Wu as they got ready for bed, Wu left the room but was confronted by the rest of the ninjas who were confused by the situation.

"I don't get it, Sensei," Kai said.

"Why aren't those brats getting punished?" Jay asked.

"Yeah, we've had to train all day, and they get a bedtime story? That's not fair," Cole complained.

"You're right, I nearly forgot, why are you not still training?" Wu asked them with a raised brow. "Did you find the answer to the riddle?"

"No, Sensei," Kai said as he and the others looked down in despair. "We still haven't found the answer to what is the best way to defeat an enemy."

The four ninjas then started to head back to training and possibly throughout the night, but Wu decided that they had been punished enough.

"It is to make them your friend," Wu told them which caused the ninjas to stop and look at their sensei in shock. "That is the best way to defeat an enemy, and Lloyd and Melissa have been through a lot, so why continue to make them our enemies when we can make them our friends instead?"

The ninjas thought about it and realized that he was right, and they looked back at the room Lloyd and Melissa were in, and they vowed to keep them safe from any more harm that would come to them.

Lloyd and Melissa were lying on their beds, and they couldn't believe the day they'd had; from getting betrayed by the Fangpyers to finding Pythor and Rattalia and getting betrayed by them, and now, they are living with the ninjas who used to be their enemies.

"So, I guess this is our new life now, isn't it, Lloyd?" Melissa asked.

"Yeah, yeah, it is," Lloyd said with a smile, "Goodnight, Melissa."

"Goodnight, Lloyd," Melissa said.

Lloyd and Melissa then lay down on their new beds, closed their eyes, and went to sleep, they couldn't wait for whatever was next for them.

To be continued...
