Chapter 29: A heist with the Bloodhound of Truth

Molly was flying with Hikari in Canada. She wanted to cheer her up, so Molly decided a place full of nature like Canada will be perfect. And it sure was, Hikari was having a great time.

''Ready?''

''NO, DON'T YOU DARE TO-

Molly threw her in the air, Hikari started to fall, but Molly caught her. She was doing this non-stop since they came here. Molly will fly as high as possible, throw Hikari around and catch her.

''Aaaaaaand another one!''

''NO, PLEASE-

Once again, Molly threw Hikari as high as possible. For a few seconds it looked like Hikari was flying, but then gravity started to pull her down, causing Molly to catch her again.

''I SWEAR, I'LL PEE MYSELF IF YOU CONTINUE!'' Hikari laughed.

The two girls sure were having a great time. Being able to travel anywhere she wants with the girl she loves the most? Now that's a perfect life for Molly!

...

It was now nighttime. The woods were dark, with nothing but silence. The only light was coming from the O.A.S secret camp base. All the guards there had one job, to be awake.

All the soldiers were keeping their heads up, while one of their special jeeps drove away to Brighton. Nothing special was happening... Until a gunshot was heard and the generation stopped.

''What the?''

All the lights turned out. The generator had a huge hole and it looked damaged. It will take at least 30 minutes or even an hour before they can totally fix it.

It was Libby... She was hiding in one of the bushes, located high in the hill. It was now all dark, too dark for any of the soldiers to notice her. On top of that, most of them walked in the direction of the shot generator in the center.

''Now is my chance!''

It was incredibly stupid for a 14 year old to use a real sniper... Let alone to sneak inside a top-secret government base. But the hunger to expose those terrorists was too big. She prepared a bag full of many gadgets she could find in officer's John stuff, and some that she kept in her bunker at the burned bookshop.

Libby ran down to the tall fence. Not only the lights were off, but it was also the electricity of the fence. Looks like this generator keeps the power of the whole place. She ran to the left side, where she was sure most of the guards left their poses to check the generator and used a grapple gun to climb the wall up.

The funny thing was Libby had kept that grapple gun since she was 10, yet her mom never knew about it... In reality, her mom never knew about most of the detective gadgets Libby had.

The moment she was on top of the fence, she saw her way cleared up. All the guards were at the center, trying to figure out what went wrong with the generator.

Libby jumped down and was now officially inside the base. There is no going back, she has to find something. Very sneakily, Libby walked around all the tents. She had no idea where to start, but she did notice there is one way bigger than the others.

''Hold up... There's a bullet inside!'' One of the agents said.

''A bullet?''

''By the look of it, that's... An AT308 type... Everyone, on position!''

The soldiers realized someone sniped their generator. Now the situation was 2x worse for Libby. Even though they could barely see a thing because of how dark it was, Libby was still scared.

As fast as she could, Libby ran inside the big tent without anyone noticing her. She didn't know if this was luck, or if God was watching her, but nobody was inside the tent.

''Oh, thank you, Jesus...''

It had a wall, separating the tent in two rooms. One had beds, while the other had three desks and one computer. Libby walked to the computer and turned it on. There has to be something they probably hide... But it was turning on very slowly...

''Come on, come oooooon!''

It finally turned on... And her heart skipped a beat when a message popped up.

Enter password:

Libby was shocked. Now what? How could she not even think about this? That's a computer used by supernatural hunters, of course it will have a password! Libby was on the verge to tear up, realizing she was screwed up...

''THIS IS UNBELIEVEBLE!''

An angry voice was heard by the tent's close window. Stepfoots were heard, going to the entrence of the tent... Someone was coming. Libby ran to the part with the beds and hid under one of them. An angry general with two soldiers entered.

''We still work on the problem, sir, but the generator-

''SOMEONE IS TRYING TO SABOTAGE US! I WANT WHOEVER DID THIS DEATH!'' The generator explained, as he walked to the side with the computer.

He was little surprised it was turned on, but he was too angry to care. He typed the password, opened the browser controlling all the lights and cameras and turned them on. The little tent door was open, so Libby could see what was the password he typed... I_Love_Ki77ies...

Libby realized she's more screwed up than ever. How is she supposed to go back? What will happen if they see her? Will they really kill her? This was a huge mistake. For her sake, the general and the two soldiers walked back outside, leaving the desktop turned on.

At least she can see what they have. Libby crawled out of the bed and walked to the computer. She both wanted to check it out, but also wanted to find a way out of here as fast as possible, so she took out a small flash drive from her backpack.

The moment she plugged it in and waited for the data from all their files to import... Another message popped up that made her blood boil...

Importing data progress: 5 hours, 45 minutes

''Are you kidding me?!''

This was feeling like some sort of a sick joke. 6 hours? She is supposed to wait 6 hours?! No way in Hell!

''Ughhhh, forget about it!''

Out of desperation and anger... Libby unplugged the PC, took all her gadgets out and tucked the PC inside the backpack. Thank God, it was big enough.

To not leave any evidence, she only took the grapple up and hid the rest under one of the beds... At least they won't notice until tomorrow probably, or the fact their computer is missing.

Okay... How is she supposed to get out of here? All the guards are in their positions, the lights and cameras are now on... How the hell is she supposed to get out of here without anyone seeing her?

Well... There's no way to not get spotted, that's for sure... Or maybe there is. Another jeep was preparing to drive away. There was a tent full of those. After all, the O.A.S needed to drive to Brighton in some way.

That's it! That was her ticket out! There weren't any soldiers in front of the tent. One of the huge jeeps was driving slowly on the path to the fence's door and it stopped, waiting for one of the agents to open it.

The jeep stopped, the agent started to type the code for the door to open... And Libby took the heavy backpack, ran out of the tent and jumped under the vehicle.

''Okayyy, now!'' The guard said, as he opened the door.

Libby was holdind to it and her backpack, as the jeep drove away. Just to make sure no one will see her, Libby was holding for around 2 minutes before she let go. She was out of the base and was now in some random part of the forest.

''I... I did it... OH MY GOSH, I DID IT!'' Libby jumped from excitment.

Did that just happen?! Did Libby really stole a PC from a military base?! This was the best night of her life! She didn't know if she should be happy or shocked. She had to return to the hill to get back the sniper she hid in the bush after using it, but she was gonna wait for tomorrow.

Libby opened her backpack and saw the PC was in there and had no damages. She did it! She saw what the password was, she had the computer in her hands... She did it!

But then a police car appeared in front of her... John and Leah came out...

''YOUNG LADY, YOU ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!''

''Oh shell...''

...

Molly and Hikari were chilling on one of the building in Toronto. After flying around, they needed a break to watch the beautiful night stars and the huge city.

''This reminds me of that character you used when we were kids?''

''Hmm?''

''Yes! Remember that ''Milly'' girl you made up when we were little? By your logic ''she was your lost canadian cousin''. Oh man, it was so funny!'' Hikari explained.

When did they do that? Molly sure had a big imagination, but when did she made up that?

''Aaaaand... How did I make ''Milly'' to look like?''

''It was literally just you learing a blue wig. But it was so funny and adorable!''

Well... Molly didn't remember acting like that, but she decided to pretend like she remembers it.

''Ohhh, yeah. I was p-pretty crazi, wasn't I?''

''You sure were! And you still are, my silly cinnamon roll!'' Hikari said, pinching Molly's cheek.

It was feeling so warm to touch Molly's body. It was like feeling your hand on fire, but not the burning pain, more like the warm and cozy feeling.

''Awwww, you are... AGH!''

Molly felt her lungs locking in, causing her to lose her breath. For 5-10 seconds, Molly couldn't breathe...

''Molly? Molly, are you alright?!'' Hikari asked, worried.

She started to breathe freely again. What was that? This has never happened before, it didn't make any sence.

''Y-Yeah... Just lost my breath for a moment''

''Wait... Is this because-

''No, no, no, don't worry about that! Uhhhh, you know what, why don't I get us a poutine? A nice poutine with a lot of maple syrup, eh? Just for the two of us! I'll be right back, just stay here!''

As Molly flew down, Hikari was sure something is wrong. Why did Molly stopped breathing for a moment? Somehow, this wasn't the weirdest part... Since when did Molly started to like maple syrup?
