A/N:

I wrote this as a little assignment to me because it came to my notice that I make DamiRae miserable... for at wittyjasontodd at Tumblr.

Warning (?): They are underage.

Also, I would love feedback in general.

Damian was fifteen and he had been with the Teen Titans for almost three years. He was in his casual clothes as he walked the halls of the Tower. Everyone had gone out except for him and Raven who was in her bedroom.

That was where he was going.

For a second, his expression and body revealed his nervousness. And then it was gone as he inhaled a breath and exhaled it. His green eyes were determined.

Damian stopped and stood before Raven's bedroom door and knocked on it.

A moment later, the metal door opened revealing Raven who was in her casual wear too.

"Oh, Damian, hey what's up?" She asked as she looked at him confusedly for a moment.

His expression was his usual unreadable gaze and Raven's confusion disappeared as she shook her head a little and turned around walking away. But it was a silent invitation for him to enter. He walked into her bedroom with eyes quickly glancing at the items in her bedroom.

She turned around and gave him an imploring stare. He knew she wanted him to speak his mind.

"I have a favour to ask," Damian spoke, taking a step forward and she seemed startled and even more so when the nervousness he was trying to conceal showed for the briefest moment.

She blinked at him, a couple of emotions going through her face in a matter of seconds. Too quickly for him to identify. Then nothing.

Raven nodded, giving him a stern gaze and signalling him to continue with a small wave of her hand.

He nervously rubbed the back of his neck as he looked away, a blush on his cheeks. "Uhm…well…" He cleared his throat, head still away but eyes shakily moving to gaze upon her, "How-how do– What do girls like?"

The room was quiet and it felt oddly cold. "Oh," Raven said as she blinked with furrowed brows. The words seem to have sunk into her mind.

"Oh." She stared at him questioningly, taking a step back as if to get a clearer view of him and understand him.

"Yeah, I want to take someone out on a date." His ears were red in embarrassment.

"Oh…" Raven said again, for a moment he thought that she sounded sad, but then bright giggles followed the soft oh.

"Well, who is she? Making the Damian Wayne blush like this?" She jabbed him playfully with her elbow. He studied her with a frown. She was almost two years older than him. Almost. And yet, she was more playful than he could ever be despite being older than him.

He was, at least now, significantly taller than her. This thought brought a smile to his lips. He still remembered when he was just a few inches shy of being exactly the same height as her.

"Well? Who is she?" Raven stared intently and he stared back, his face slipping back into a cold indifference, but his ears were still red and her eyes were clearly staring at them.

"Raven, I just need help on how to impress a girl." He brushed her question off by asking his question again.

The black-haired girl sighed in defeat, "Well, that would depend on a lot of things Damian." She crossed her arms across her chest as she stated matter-of-factly.

Damian nodded and supplied whatever information could be useful to help him out without divulging who he was trying to impress. Raven seriously considered everything and gave the best advice she could.

The two took it seriously as if it was a mission briefing. But it could be because Damian didn't do things half-hearted and Raven was just as serious as he was when it came to it.

~.~.~.~.~.~

It was days later when Raven suddenly got a message from Damian to meet him outside the Titan Tower for her to check his plans for his date for this mysterious girl he didn't name.

Raven was waiting outside and the sun was about to set. Every other Titan was busy again. She wondered who this girl Damian wanted to impress for him to want everything terribly perfect for this date.

He even asked for advice from her. Though, this was very on-brand for him. Doing things to perfection that is.

Raven was lost in thought as her mind wandered to the recent mission they had and from time to time, the date that Damian planned.

She wondered which of her suggestions he decided to act on.

"Raven! Sorry, I'm late." Damian's voice broke the girl's reverie. And she looked up to see Damian holding a really big bouquet of flowers that she barely saw his torso.

She frowned, "I don't think I suggested that you give such a big bouquet." She said as he pulled the bouquet to the side.

He looked ethereal even though it was clear that he was rushing to meet her.

He chuckled slowly, "Well, I might as well, I guess. I don't even know if she likes me."

The words caused her to frown even further. There was a knot at the pit of her stomach that she couldn't identify the cause of. She looked at him meaningfully.

Damian frowned looking at her too.

Then Raven's frown disappeared as she carefully studied the flower arrangement. This was why she was called out after all. She tried to focus on the flowers, but what she was seeing wasn't really processing in her mind.

She couldn't shake this unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach. She felt like she couldn't breathe now.

Damian let her study the arrangement, his eyes looking at her fingers touching the flowers.

"Oh, I almost forgot, I also have something else prepared." He turned around and Raven suddenly grabbed his wrist.

Damian turned again to look at Raven with a worried frown.

Her eyelids fluttered erratically as her face then brightened up, then darkened. It was like something dawned on her. But it just made Damian even more worried.

"Damian, I have something to say." She stared at him with conviction in her eyes, washing away his worry. He nodded slowly waiting for her to speak.

"I like you." She simply stated.

A second passed and then another. His expression changed from shock to bafflement as his brows etched together. Then he suddenly took a step back as he stared at her. His features go back to their default setting of neutrality but his eyes flashed many emotions before her confession.

Raven licked her lips in response to his silence and then chewed at her bottom lip, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have–" She had looked down as she rubbed her arm showing that she was feeling insecure at the moment.

Suddenly her head was lifted up, a rough hand cupping her cheek and she was staring at Damian's face that was only a few inches away from her. She realized that he had grown quite taller than her and wondered when that happened.

"All of this was for you." He whispered softly and it was Raven's turn to feel confused then startled.

"What?" She couldn't help but say as she didn't believe her ears.

"I wanted everything to be special and perfect for you. So, even if you said no, I know I did my best just as you deserve." He said seriously but it just made Raven speechless and her entire face turned.

"You're fifteen!" She couldn't help but blurt out.

Damian visibly frowned.

"Who taught you to be like this!" She continued on, clearly rattled by his confession.

"You just turned seventeen and I will turn sixteen soon. Our age gap isn't even that big, and we've known each other for years." He simply stated the displeasure in his voice thickly laid for Raven that she actually froze and listened to him with a careful stare.

"Since you confessed and I did too, are we dating?" He asked, the tone of his voice turned gentle and it shocked Raven.

The gentleness in his voice made her heart constrict. She didn't think that she would ever hear him talk to anyone like that and much less her. And she was flustered by it.

"Well?" He asked, his voice slightly shaky because of her silence as he extended his free hand to her. For a second, she just stared at it, and right as his hand was starting to shake a little. She lifted one of her hands and held his outstretched hand, giving a little squeeze.

She wondered when his hands became so big and she nodded.

The smile that bloomed on his lips knocked the breath out of her lungs as he said, "Good," A boyish smile and a small blush on his cheeks, "I prepared the most wonderful date for the most beautiful woman."

His pearly white teeth enchanted her and before she could really think through her thoughts, Raven found herself on her tippy toes kissing Damian.

The arm holding the big bouquet slackened as his free hand pulled her closer by her lower back and bent a little to not strain Raven.

He really grew way too tall.
