Hello my guys, gals and non-binary pals. I don't know what you all identify as. Back with another chapter. This one is going be a little short compared to my usual ones.
I'll probably go to do a poll later for a Valentine's day thing even though that was a week ago depending on when this chapter goes up. However, I have no idea what's the choices will be but it'll likely be one of my Omakes for Crystal Prison. Man I need to finish the second part.
Also I've been finally watching shows and cartoons again. I'm currently watching the modern Monster High television series. Those who don't know. Monster High and its sister series Ever After High was among the first fandoms I was involved when I was younger and before I officially started writing. I even had an OC! Now I have another one from the reboot series. Enough of that.
Now the reviews
(Update: 21/02/2024: The poll is up and running. Choices are Fluttershy for the what-if story whereas Dusk Shine follows canon. This would be a multi-chapter story. Indigo Zap for one of the earliest chapter ideas I had. I can flesh these characters out before I officially get there. Fleur De Lis which will be an Omake with a hint of AU plus we all love Snobby Rich Girl x Deadpan Nerd aka Dipper & Pacifica. The rest of the Shadow 5, I probably give them a chapter or just focus on one. Same with the Mane 6/7. The Dazzlings are always a popular choice. Others is the mystery of whoever I feel because there's too many characters in the damn show)
(Grammer edits)
NiteOwl18: I'll do a cut content chapter for the mecha battle. I wanted to do more but I didn't have the energy for it. Let's call what Lisa did a precautionary measure
Mysterious Mr M: Ah yes. The confusing canonity of a Live action of a cartoon.
Guest99: Not really especially since he's 11 and they're 16-17. Maybe when he's older but not right now. Overall they're cool with each other
Guest: Whenever, I do AUs like that, I want to keep some things canon but with enough differences to where people know that it's a different universe. Race swaps and Gender Benders are among the most common types of AU
Some other AUs I had in mind were Chandler's friend group. Lincoln is the new kid being from Scotland etc.
Bryan Pacheco: Well yes but I don't want to ruin the surprise
Pirohiko-Baltazar: Don't worry about craving more. Chandler has been an ass for several seasons no. I had something similar to that. It's more like Rusty and his team did something insanely stupid to Lincoln. Their boss who I envision as Girl Jordan and several others freaked out about what they did. Instead of a notebook, I planned on using playing cards.
Solon75: I wanted to do another chapter in the one-shot where Dusk Shine and Rarity talk about Blueblood and how her pursuit of him is a bad idea. He'll figure it out soon or later
There's been a massive trend where AI artists are claiming to be better than actual professional artists and animators. One guy got ratioed by an amination who worked on One Piece
Samtastic 3.0: I'm trying not to be all Rick and Morty for Lisa and Lincoln's dimensional travel stuff. I'm going to do it later but I need to focus on other stuff
Lincoln woke up from his slumber. He groaned from the throbbing ache while recalling that weird dream. Going through an alternative dimension for a mission given to him by Lisa? Odd. Although that would be an interesting comic idea. His door knocked before Lisa entered.
"Good morning, elder brother. There's something I want to show you," She announced, gesturing to her room. Lincoln raised a brow, hesitating about what she would show him. "Relax, it's nothing dangerous," Lisa rolled her eyes. He frowned, not believing a word she did. "Seriously? I made it so safe that even Leni can use it without issue," She deadpanned, insulted, but understood his lack of faith in her.
"Fine," Lincoln agreed, following Lisa to her bunker lab. The line to the bathroom was extended so both wouldn't waste their time waiting. They exited the house, savoring the kitchen aroma for the upcoming meal. Lynn Sr. is crafting a potential menu and scouting for locations. Lisa opened the hatch, allowing both to climb down to the bunker.
"Morning, Lincoln and creator," TODD greeted the two with a stiff wave.
"Morning, TODD," The siblings replied with a smile. "How's the diagnostics working out?" Lisa asked. She reported on what happened in the park to other robots. Battle Bot had a firm hand in the assault, but she needed to know how he did it.
"It's strange. Battle Bot's bot hasn't moved since the last time," TODD answered, scratching the back of his bucket skull. Battle Bot remained motionless in that same spot after the last major incident of attacking Lincoln and Polly. The arrogant robot hasn't said a single belittling word or anything. He remained in a pitiful corner, his head on his knees, shutting himself from the world. They knew Battle Bot was still functional as his circuits maintained their signature. Lisa checked it. Yep, he's still there, but that begs the question. How did he do it?
"He does have a habit of modifying his body," Lincoln added, recalling his previous encounters with the vengeful automaton. Lisa and TODD shared an alarmed glance before TODD wheeled off with a shriek. Lincoln's body tightened for the upcoming battle. Lisa raised her hand, shaking her head. He relaxed. She probably has multiple security levels to deal with Battle Bot. Both siblings returned to their objective. Rugged concrete shifted into polished steel as they strolled to their destination. Lisa stopped at the door and typed an access code into the keycard. The door opened with a hiss.
"Woah," Lincoln marveled at the futuristic machinery as they entered. He felt underdressed in his pajamas while surveying the flashing lights and buzzing machinery. This must be where Lisa keeps some of her more advanced technology, like her shields, lasers, and other devices. His blue eyes widened at the massive formulas and equations on a nearby whiteboard. THAT CAN'T BE MATH?! What are those bizarre symbols? The equation covered the entire board only for the answer to be 6. Lincoln's head hurt from viewing it, and turned away. It's too advanced for his brain. They stopped where something was covered by metallic barriers.
"Lincoln, I present to you . . . THIS!" Lisa announced with pride, pushing a button on her remote. She revealed what could be described as a grey E-bike. "The LOUD travaller. This is an all-terrain bicycle/motorcycle. I made it with a reinforced titanium-steel alloy. It can travel up to 20 miles per hour at max speed," She explained some of the vehicle's features. The frame was bulkier than commercial brands, with robust tires and the engine around the rear. Lincoln arched his brow, wondering where he had seen the engine before. "The tires are adaptable, well-suited for urban terrain, tundras or arctic environments, forests, and grasslands with a few aquatic capabilities," Lisa gestured as the tires swapped configurations for their desired landscape.
"It's also a jet ski?" Lincoln asked. No more overpriced water rides while on vacation.
"More like an aqua bike," Lisa clarified as the wheels expanded and thickened like an ATV before deflating to their original size. "One more thing," She announced, pausing as a series of orange lights flashed and covered the bike. A soft hiss echoed as a new coat marked the frame. The bike stood proud with its orange highlights. "It's yours," Lisa declared, handing him a bike lock with the key.
"Really?" Lincoln questioned with gleaming eyes. He has his own unique vehicle without any cost to himself. It's too good to be true. Wait! This IS too good to be true! "Why?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at the hidden ulterior motive behind this sudden display of generosity.
"It's in the beta phase but remains functional. Plus, you're the most reliable one out of our siblings," Lisa elaborated straightforwardly. "I can't ride because I'm too short, and Lynn would definitely destroy it before lunch," She added more weight to her reasonings. However, having Lynn test out the LOUD Traveler would allow her to classify how much stress the engine can handle and plan future upgrades.
"Fair enough," Lincoln acknowledged with a shrug. The two exited the lab and bunker just in time to use the bathroom and get a hearty breakfast.
TODD honed in on the objective. Lincoln's words about how Battle Bot modified his body replayed in TODD's cortex. That has to be it! TODD raced to Battle Bot's holding cell, where the belligerent machine remained with his head on his knees against the wall. Cautionary glyphs flashed across TODD's visionary nodes while approaching the motionless Battle Bot. The signal is low but noticeable. Too noticeable. TODD's arm prodded Battle Bot. No response.
That's not good.
TODD's prod received more force. Battle Bot's head rolled off, and a faint glowing beep at the neck connection. The signal followed.
"Oh shit," TODD peered into the hollow body. Battle Bot escaped, and they couldn't find him.
Ronnie-Anne gazed at her smartphone contact list. One name filled her anxiety, but everything about this person shouldn't. The name? Lincoln Loud or Lame-o as what she saved him as. Her finger twitched, hesitating on her next course of action.
"Just call him already," Ronnie-Anne groaned as her family members gazed in teasing amusement. They're in a hotel room for a few days while visiting Royal Woods. Maria, Bobby, and Carlotta were with her. She pressed it, waiting for him to reply. He answered.
"What's up, Ronnie-Anne?" Lincoln greeted her, making her smile.
"So . . . I heard that Royal Woods got some additions," Ronnie-Anne said, glancing at her family, who gave their support. She took a slightly flirty tone.
"Yeah, I can show you around if you want," Lincoln offered. This can be a great way to test out the LOUD Traveler.
"Sure. See you in an hour or two," Ronnie-Anne suggested. That should give her enough to get ready.
"Alright, I'll see you then," Lincoln responded. Ronnie-Anne sighed contently as her mission was accomplished. Her eyes widened with a chill, and she gazed at the starry-eyed Carlotta.
"Oh no," She muttered before her cousin pounced on her with a small make-up bag in her hands. An hour passed. Her family assisted Ronnie-Anne with her wardrobe while Carlotta did her hair and make-up. The teenager went with a more natural look as the two were going throughout the town. A gentle layer of gloss was applied with a quick fluff of her eyelashes. Ronnie-Anne's phone rang, and she picked it up.
"Hey, Ronnie-Anne, I'm outside," Lincoln remarked. Her eyes widened at the sentence. HE'S HERE! They quickly checked her clothing and gave her extra money for their outing.
"I hope your sisters don't get on our case today," Ronnie-Anne grumbled, rolling her eyes at how invasive his sisters are.
"Don't worry about it. It's only going to be me and you today," Lincoln confirmed. Her family immediately eavesdropped on their conversation. Just the two of them?
"How?" Ronnie-Anne asked, blushing as she pushed them away.
"You'll see," Lincoln implied with a smile. Ronnie-Anne raised a brow at his statement as she went downstairs with her family. What did he mean by that? They exited where Lincoln waiting for them. He smiled and waved at her with a . . . MOTORCYCLE beside him?! Their jaws dropped at Lincoln's vehicle. He waved at them.
"Where did you get this?" Ronnie-Anne marveled at the sight as the family approached him. His eyes glimmered at her appearance. Her sleek black hair was wrapped in a loose ponytail, enabling her curls to breathe. Sunrays highlighted her glossed lips in a tantalizingly faint hue. She wore a loose top, leaving her shoulder exposed. Carlotta smirked. She rapidly texted the rest of the family and several of her friends about this. A romantic afternoon on a motorcycle. Margarita is going to love this when they return.
"Lisa made it for me this morning," Lincoln explained, handing her a helmet. That didn't surprise her but Ronnie-Anne wondered why she created a simple thing.
"Is it safe?" Maria asked worryingly, aware of how experimental some of Lisa's inventions could be. Bobby nodded to agree.
"It's a bike, Mom," Ronnie-Anne countered as she secured her helmet. There's nothing weird about it. "Right?" She replied before shooting Lincoln a nervous glance. Knowing Lisa, she couldn't take any chances right now.
"She said this was the prototype before she made major changes," Lincoln elaborated, easing their worries as he placed on his helmet. "Ready to go?" He asked. She nodded as they hopped on the bike. Her arms wrapped around his firm midsection. The engine roared before the two drove off to see the sights.
"I'm not sure how I feel about this, but my baby sister is growing up," Bobby sobbed as the women rolled their eyes at the emotional teenager.
The two traveled throughout Royal Woods as Lincoln pointed out some additions to their town after she left. The town expanded and grew more lively as railways connected neighboring cities. Ronnie smiled throughout the tour, holding him as they drove around. She enjoyed spending time like this with him and only him. Ronnie-Anne had Sid and her main friend group, but Lincoln was a special case. They arrived at the community plaza where Lincoln's friends met for the day.
"Hey Lincoln-Woah!" Clyde greeted before exclaiming at the sight of Lincoln's new bike. He wasn't the only one. "Where did you get that?" He asked as Lincoln parked and securely locked the bike. They were near the entrance. The plaza has several bike racks for those who can't drive as yet.
"Lisa made it and wanted someone to test it," Lincoln answered with Ronnie-Anne at his side. "We just drove around town for a bit," He replied with a blush as she looked off.
"Mhm," His male friends teased him as they strolled to one of the benches and played some cards for a while. Lincoln had several victories under his belt. Some accused him of cheating or teaming with Ronnie-Anne and Clyde. They refute the notion. A few of them went to get drinks when a crowd formed around Lincoln's bike, only for Rusty to parch himself on it, claiming to be the owner.
"Rusty, what are you doing?" Cookie accused, making the redhead jolt in surprise.
"Um, nothing," Rusty claimed nervously. Crap, they're here, but he has to play it cool.
"That's Lincoln's bike," Cookie declared, narrowing her eyes at him. Several backtracked, aware of Lisa's volatile experiments, and didn't want to be in the blast zone.
"What makes you say that?" Rusty defended with a smirk. Play it cool and confident because the ladies loved it.
"One, it's orange," Molly started. It's Lincoln's signature color. "Secondly, it says LOUD Traveler," Her finger pointed to the label on the frame. "Thirdly, we literally just saw him ridding on it with Ronnie-Anne," She announced, gesturing to Lincoln and Ronnie-Anne playing cards nearby. Only Lincoln, with Lisa's permission, can have something this advanced.
"That's just the brand, and didn't have green available," Rusty stammered as they poked more holes in his story than the Harry Potter series. I haven't read the books or watched the movies, but I know there are many consistency issues.
"Since when have bikes come with a keypad?" Cookie continued.
"Also, where do you buy it?" Girl Jordan questioned, searching her phone for anything similar. Mhm. No results.
"It's a . . . premium custom order from," Rusty started before coughing to hide his empty answer.
"Put in the code then," They challenged, waiting for him to mess up. If Lisa made then it must have some biometric reader, only making Lincoln and herself the authorized users.
"Sure," Rusty scoffed as his eyes focused on the keypad. It should be a simple code. 12345. Error! He began to sweat as his attempts decreased while they watched him judgmentally. Wait, Lincoln's birthday! ERROR! Come on, the ladies are watching him. One more. ERROR!
"UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS! INITATE SELF-DEFENSE PROTOCOLS!" The LOUD traveler broadcasted before igniting a bright neon green electrical field. Lincoln glanced at his phone and turned to his bike. Rusty yelped as the electricity stunned his nerves and burned some of his hair. They watched Rusty's body twitch, face-down on the pavement.
"That's . . . new," Lincoln muttered at the security feature. However, this is Lisa. It would've been weird if she hadn't included some form of a security system. She didn't tell him that it had an A.I or was it a V.I.?
"Returning to owner," LOUD traveler declared, twisting its handlebars and paddling towards Lincoln. He stared confusedly, wondering what had just happened.
"Called it," Ronnie-Anne deadpanned. Of course, Lisa had something extra planned for it. "You owe me a Flippee, by the way," She smirked, punching his shoulder.
"Should I ask what happened?" Lincoln queried, gesturing to the twitching Rusty. He should call Lisa about this.
"Nope," The girls ignored Rusty before heading inside. He glared venomously at Lincoln and some of the girls. They don't know a proper alpha when they see it. He'll prove it soon.
They relaxed in the lobby area, splitting into groups to join whatever daily class or activity was open that day. Lincoln checked out one of the art rooms, leaving Ronnie-Anne, and Stella alone. They glared venomously at each other once they were alone.
"What are you doing here, Santiago?" Stella sneered, getting into the Latina's personal space.
"Hanging out with my best friend from Royal Woods. What are you doing here, Zhau?" Ronnie-Anne countered, pointing her in the chest.
"Same as you. Got a problem with it?" Stella fumed, crossing her arms.
"Not really, benchwarmer," Ronnie-Anne scoffed with an eye roll and casually examined her nails.
"Benchwarmer?!" Stella accused, gritting her teeth. Out of all things, a benchwarmer?! She impacted Lincoln more in a few short months than Ronnie-Anne did for the last several years.
"What else would I call you?" Ronnie-Anne questioned."Tanned skinned, black hair, and of foreign origin," She listed their similar features. Ronnie-Anne thought Girl Jordan would've taken her spot as Lincoln's main female companion.
"I guess I can call you a bully," Stella sneered. The teasing, the blackeye, and many more.
"Former bully. I apologized and got better. Now look at us," Ronnie-Anne frowned before smiling at how much they've grown in the past year. "And this is coming from a girl who nearly ruined his entire friend group," Her eyelids lowered.
"I didn't," Stella growled, recalling how much of a mess that was. She's still kicking herself for it. All she wanted to do was make friends. Not cause a civil war.
"You're telling me that you didn't do anything that made 4 boys fight over you besides being a decent person," Ronnie-Anne doubted. Stella went on a solo outing with all of them, but only Lincoln was immune to whatever mind games she was playing. He's too intelligent for that. Or Stella likes him and is trying to isolate him from his group so she'll be all hers by using his good nature. That event was straight out of the dramas and telenovelas her family religiously watches. A new character appears, and suddenly problems occur. "Something smells, and it ain't the trash," She accursed, sneering at her. Stella returned as the air tightened around them.
"Hey, your grandmother is here,"
"Grandma/Abeula?!" Ronnie and Stella shouted at their appearance. What are they doing here?
"Rosa? Elder Zhau?" Lincoln asked, surprised at their arrival. "What are you two here doing?"He questioned. "Also, how did you get here?" Lincoln motioned to Rosa. It's a 3-hour drive from GLC to here. Plus, that food is steaming.
"I took the train and a bus," Rosa answered. Lincoln raised a brow at the answer.
"That's how my family and I got here," Ronnie-Anne explained. "GLC approved of a railway system between here and other cities," She elaborated on the context. It didn't take the city long to expand its railway network. The only struggle was picking the bus or the surface tram to get somewhere. At least the new bus pass covers both.
"I know Sid's dad was happy about that," Lincoln said. Several people raised their eyebrows at him.
"Sid?" They wondered who this Sid was. Maybe a guy, hopefully.
"My GLC best friend," Ronnie-Anne. "She's my Clyde if that explains things," Damn, Sid is a she. Some of them thought. "No one's taking your spot, Lameo," Ronnie smiled, punching his shoulder playfully. Several of their friends hummed the 'Here comes the bride' led by Clyde.
"Shut up, Clyde," Lincoln and Ronnie-Anne deadpanned with pink features. Clyde whistled innocently. Both girls engaged in feeding and eating with Lincoln as their grandmothers praised their efforts for creating such a dish. Some of Lincoln's family entered the area with glimmering eyes upon witnessing the food and scrapped down, especially Lana. Lynn Sr. took an interest and asked the elders for recipes in his upcoming restaurant. That gave them an idea for a short cooking contest. Something quick to help stimulate the mind and future menu options. Ronnie-Anne & Stella immediately threw their hat in the ring, with several others also opting in.
Lincoln rolled his eyes before focusing on Molly and Lola chatting in the corner. What are they talking about? The two shook hands, exchanging something between them with a wide grin. Something's up.
Ronnie-Anne and Stella spent considerable time honing their craft before the end. Lincoln was worried about Ronnie-Anne missing class. She eased his concerns by stating that the school gave her a few days off. The contest was held in a spare room in the community plaza for cooking classes. Lincoln's stomach growled monstrously, pleading for food. They kept his appetite low to avoid any sensory bias. It's almost lunch. His father pats his head.
"Don't worry, sport, we'll get to eat soon," Lynn Sr. declared as Clyde nodded. These two were the judges, along with Lincoln. Lynn Sr had superior practical cooking experience, while Clyde had an artistic mindset.
"Please," Lincoln pleaded as they entered the cooking room. The men had a designated table while the girls put on the final touches. Ronnie and Stella weren't the only ones here. Girl Jordan, Cristina, Mollie, Haiku, Cookie, Pandora, Alexandria, Caroline, Evelynn, and Jenny were also offered services. Either cooking or help cleaning up after. Rosa, Elder Zhau, and Carlota monitored the children.
"Is everyone ready?" Carlota announced after a few minutes. She received agreement from the girls as Rosa and Elder Zhau handed the judges glasses of water. "First up is . . . Girl Jordan and Cristina," The two had presented an Italian-style dish, keeping the portions light as the judges had several meals to savor. Followed by Alexandria & Pandora serving a nutritious post-workout meal. Haiku and Cookie displayed a sweet dish to counter the savory. Although Ronnie-Anne and Stella remained superior cooks, sharing competitive glances as Lincoln savored their meals. It was time to announce the first-round winner when something interrupted them.
"LINCOLN YOU JERK!" They all turned to the boisterous slam of the door.
"What the crap?" Lincoln exclaimed at the irate horde of boys charging at him. Where did they come from?!
Rusty led the charge. "YOU HAVE ALL THESE CUTE GIRLS COOKING FOR YOU!" He bellowed as Lincoln and his crew jumped away as the swarm devoured everything their hands could shove in their maws. Fries, burgers, pasta, rice, beef, seafood, poultry, and even a few sweets are scattered throughout. Disgruntled stares and shouts echoed throughout the room as the girls' hard work was pillaged by those who couldn't truly appreciate it. The contest was still ongoing. They were saving some of those meals for last. Rusty's horde didn't care. They consumed and consumed before the girls had a chance to salvage. The girls cringed at their messy eating. How hard is it to use a simple fork?!
"Man, these are good," Rusty bragged as he sloppy munched, glaring at Lincoln. Stella's eyes hollowed and blacked at their disgusting hands, sullying the food she made for Lincoln. It took days. She wanted. No. She desired to see Lincoln's eyes light up upon the first bit and beg for seconds. Her hands twitched as she couldn't do that. All because some mangy red-headed mongrel and his pack wanted to invade and sabotage their efforts to help a local business.
"Get out," Stella muttered with the haunting echo of death. The room chilled. Lincoln stood up when Lynn Sr. grabbed his shoulder and shook his head. This is a 'them' problem. Not his. Lincoln obeyed. One of the many things he learned by leaving with 10 sisters is never to engage with a furious woman, especially when you're not the target.
"Uh. . . Stella," Rusty faltered at Stella's threatening aura. All of his bravado evaporated and corroded from her venomous glare.
"Get out," Stella repeated hollowly as shadows covered her eyes. She loomed over Rusty like a storm cloud. Her face was a blank stone as her fist tightened to break iron. Rage harbored in her chest, eroding all the goodness installed in her. Fuck it. She's not being good now because they don't deserve it.
"Hey, wait a," Rusty complained still holding one of the buns when she smacked it out of his hands. They gasped.
"Those weren't for you," Stella fumed, dangerously narrowing her eyes at him. "You weren't invited," This vermin ruined EVERYTHING today. FOR WHAT?! No decorum or accountability in their eyes. Only fear. She wanted to cry, but she'll do that later. "You're not welcome here," Stella snarled as a demonic mask summoned behind her.
"What are you trying to say?" Rusty questioned, never seeing her like this before. He praised her cooking! That should be all good, so what's the problem?
"It means PISS OFF FLEA BAG!" Cookie boomed, grabbing his collar and tossing him like a frisbee. Rusty's crew stared at him fly across the room as Jenny opened the door for him to exit. They winched at the impact. The girls surrounded them, cracking their knuckles while Stella and Ronnie-Anne made a truce for the moment. Rusty's crew's blood chilled. They're next. All of them ran. Some weren't as lucky and humilatedly ended up in the trash. Lincoln's stomach roared, demanding more food, but there wasn't enough. The kitchen was a total mess.
"Clyde, get him something to eat while we clean up," Rosa and the other adults instructed.
"No, I can stay and help for a bit," Lincoln countered as it would leave a rancid aftertaste in his mouth. Leaving girls to do the cleaning after cooking for him? His sisters would castrate him.
"Don't worry about it," Girl Jordan smiled to reassure him. He nodded, but it didn't sit right with him. Clyde and he cleaned briefly before heading out to ease the workload. The adults escorted the remaining boys out while the rest cleaned.
"So," Ronnie-Anne broadcasted, gaining everyone's attention. "I know you're all trying to get with my Lameo," She revealed while washing some dishes, widening the girls' eyes in alarm. How did she know? They waited for what she had to say. "You have him," Ronnie-Anne shrugged casually.
"What?!" They exclaimed at her surrender. No. That can't be it, so this has to be some trick. She's too confident to simply give up.
"If you can, that is," Ronnie-Anne challenged with an arrogant smirk. There it is. "You might win, but you won't or can't replace me in his heart or his life," She bragged with crossed arms as they stared defiantly at her. They all shared the same thoughts. IT'S ON! Lincoln and Clyde returned after some time as the girls watched their hands and sanitized their cooking stations. "Hey, Lincoln, I have something for you," Ronnie-Anne called to him, digging into her jeans pocket and pulling out a patch. He took it
"RAS?" Lincoln questioned the patch. The letters were a rich purple in a radical font.
"It means Really Awesome Sketcher," Ronnie-Anne informed, meaning everyone raised their brow. Really Awesome Sketcher? "It was supposed to be Really Awesome Skater, but they messed it up," She fibbed on the origins. The true meaning is Ronnie-Anne Santiago. They narrowed their eyes at how easily she could lie right to his face.
"Ok," Lincoln shrugged, thinking it would look great on his jacket or bag.
"Who's going to tell him?" Clyde whispered, leaning to Lynn Sr.
"Nah, let him figure it out," Lynn refuted as Rosa nodded in approval. Elder Zhao shot Stella a look. She nodded, already figuring out what to give him. Haiku and Pandora had similar notions. Once everything was clean, they returned the key and left. The girls were in a sour mood, but they could do nothing about it and only move on.
It's a relaxing afternoon in the Loud House. Lori and Bobby were watching TV before he left for GLC while Lincoln reviewed his math notes with Lisa. Luan entered the house with a dreamy smile and a spring in her steps.
"What happened with her?" Luna asked, returning from the kitchen, sipping on a juice pouch.
"Let's say Dollface had a real nice day at school," Mr. Coconuts implied, wiggling his eyebrows. The siblings shrugged as Luna and Luan went upstairs, leaving Lisa and Lincoln at the dinner table. Lori hugged him from behind.
"Lori, what the hell?" Lincoln questioned his oldest sister. This wasn't an OOC moment for Lori, but definitely not a common occurrence, especially when Bobby was here.
"Sorry, I need this real quick," Lori admitted, holding him tighter.
"Ok," Lincoln replied. Bobby probably told her how to be a better sister, especially since she's heading to college. His face straightened. Something wasn't right here. Her pitch was higher than normal. She's not wearing her usual fragrance whenever Bobby is nearby. "WAIT A MINUTE!" He shouted, breaking away from 'Lori's' grasp. She smiled while backing off.
"Um, babe," Bobby muttered as his brown eyes bounced between the two Loris. The one on the couch with him and his arm around their shoulder. And the one near the dining room doorway. Both Loris stood together.
"Which is the real one?" The Loris quizzed with a smirk, crossing their arms. Bobby opened his mouth to answer but shut it, trying to figure out who his girlfriend was. Lori told him that she and Carol made up and became friends. Was this one of those weird doppelgangers or twin swap things?
"Don't worry, I got this, Bobby," Lincoln interjected, pushing out his chair and standing before his older sister. He circled and examined their appearances. Lori and Carol had uncannily similar body types and appearances. It's weird. However, even copies have subtle differences. Their hair, posture, the way they smile, how they stand and walk, the pitch of their voice, how their clothes fit, how they pronounce certain words, etc. The two Loris shared a smirk and a knowing glance. There's no way he can decipher who was who. They spent days learning each other's mannerisms and habits for this moment. Lincoln paused before cannoning his palm into the imposter's backside.
"OW! Lori!" Carol yelled, jumping from the smack and breaking character. His hand left a sharp tingling pulse on her butt.
"Bro, how did you know which one was the real one," Bobby pondered on his prediction. These two were virtually identical. He thought the two were twins before he and Lori started dating.
"Bobby, unfortunately, there's no proper way of me saying this but," Lincoln hesitated, rubbing the back of his head. "I had Lori's ass in my face for as long as I can remember," He explained, gesturing to himself and his eldest sister. Her phone habits and constantly bumping him out of the way. He shuddered. "Over the years, I developed a bit of . . . sixth sense to her," Lincoln explained as they stared with raised brows.
"Bro, that's weird," Bobby blankly remarked. Developing a 6th sense about his sister? It's a cool trick, but why does someone need that in their skill tree?
"I know," Lincoln whispered, covering his face in shame. His friends already think he has an Oedipus complex. They'll never let him hear the end if they believe he has a sister complex.
"I told you, you can't hide from him," Lisa stated with a clipboard and writing something with a pen. That's one point for her and another point for her hypothesis.
"Shut up, Lisa," Lori grumbled, digging into her pocket and handing Lisa some money. She pouted at Lisa's arrogant experience while counting the patronage. Lori turned her nose. At least he has a sixth sense towards her, making her the Alpha sister. She raised him!
"Sorry about that, Carol," Lincoln said, rubbing his head in embarrassment. How do you talk to someone after leaving a sharp unsuspecting slap on their butt cheeks? If they were in a relationship, then it would be fine. However, Carol is 5-6 years older than him and resembles Lori. That's going into 'FBI OPEN UP!' territory.
"No problem, but what the hell, Lincoln?!" Carol commented before shouting. "I don't have enough cushion for that impact," She whined as her bottom flesh stung as she held it in an attempt to soothe the pain. Why did he smack her ass so hard? Why did he? "It's like you wanted to do it to me or something," Carol weighed as all eyes gazed at Lincoln who looked away sheepishly. What can he say? His father and both grandfathers warned him about 'load questions'. If Lincoln agreed that implies he wanted to do that to someone who greatly resembled his older sister. However, if he denies it then it implies that he's a weirdo.
"No matter how I answer, I don't look good, so I'm keeping it to my grave," Lincoln declared. Sometimes it's better to say nothing at all.
"I can avert that," Lucy smiled, holding up her black book, popping out from one of the vents.
"Please don't," Lincoln deadpanned, looking up at his vampiric sister. She pouted before returning to the darkness. Carol went upstairs to change while Lori and Bobby relaxed on the couch some more. Lincoln resumed his studies as Mrs. Johnson planned for a significant test in the following weeks. He checked his phone, widening his eyes at an upcoming event.
Hours passed. Lincoln's heart raced while standing before Lori's door. He exhaled and knocked.
"It's open," Lori answered, texting Bobby as he got ready for his return journey.
"Hey Lori, can I-oh sorry, I'll come back later," Lincoln started before acknowledging the rest of his sisters. They must be having a sister meeting or something personal again. "Hey," He muttered as he entered, unsure of how to proceed as they were all here. "So," Their brother hesitated.
"Just spill it out," Lori demanded before smirking at his flustered expression. "Does your 'friend' need some advice again?" She quoted recalling their earlier conservation. The classic 'I have this friend who likes this girl' situation.
"Oh no, it's . . . me this time," Lincoln admitted with a pause as his face heated. They grew silent with glimmering eyes and wide grins. "Oh no," He mumbled as they grabbed him and dragged him inside.
"TELL US, TELL US, TELL US!" They chanted, giving him space to breathe.
"So Haiku's birthday is coming up, and I want to get her something early," Lincoln confessed with rosy cheeks. Lucy gasped, dropping her jaw as Luan closed it. Is it finally happening?!
"What's the plan?" Lori questioned. He must have some ideas on what to give her. Lincoln's not stupid. He knows what a girl wants.
"I don't want to her books because that's kinda generic," Lincoln started as they nodded to confirm. Books would be a decent start, but that seems superficial. It didn't come from the individual's heart unless it's a book Haiku values. Although her friends would likely get her the same gift.
"She does love to garden," Lucy mentioned, opening a gift possibility. Their flowers are blooming right now. They need to harvest them before Haiku's birthday.
"You want me to give her a bouquet of flowers?" Lincoln asked, raising a brow. It could work. However, it would require an excessive explanation for why he did it.
"I didn't say that,' Lucy smirked. Lincoln didn't reply to avoid getting the goth any form of satisfaction.
"Why don't you give her something that says you?" Leni suggested. His blue eyes widened and glimmered at the idea. Something that says him! HIS ART!
"Leni, you're a genius, I love you," Lincoln beamed as he embraced his older second sister. She returned with the smugest expression while sticking her tongue out at the other frowning sisters. Cope and seethe, losers. Lincoln sprinted out of the room, closing the door behind him.
"Yes! I PREPARED FOR THIS MOMENT!" Lucy shouted, holding her scrapbook like a trophy. Linku for Life. It also held potential wedding images for Lincoln and Haiku. Even a poem for the two of them. She's going to be Haiku's bridesmaid! They will become sisters!
"Ease up there, dude," Luna remarked, sensing the excitement. The young goth tackled the rocker, gripping her purple shirt.
"DON'T RUIN THIS FOR ME!" Lucy snarled in a rare sight of fury. She's been shipping them since the dance, and they're going well.
Lincoln eavesdropped on their conservation. They're planning something. Lola was talking with Molly earlier this week and exchanged something. But what? He's aware that his sisters are planning revenge for the Friendzy incident. Now they got Girl Jordan's group involved. Probably more. That would explain Carol. Lincoln ignored that idea as it was too extreme. He narrowed the threats to his sisters and Girl Jordan's group. Lincoln contacted some of his allies just in case whenever they strike. He returned to his room and began working on his next biggest artwork for Haiku. It won't be easy, but it's a start.
Jancey and Bumper Sr. were outside Junior's room with worried expressions. He's been in foul since he returned from school. Was it a bad grade or something more personal?
"Hey, Junior, do you want to talk about what happened?" Bumper Sr. asked, gently knocking on the door.
"No," Bumper Jr. whined from the other side of the door.
"We're here if you need anything," Jancey comforted as Senior nodded to agree. "Dinner's around six, okay?" She informed, hoping to create an easing atmosphere and get to the bottom.
"Okay," Bumper Jr. answered as his parents softly smiled before leaving him alone. He lay there on his bed. Tears stained his face and his pillow. The torturous image of Luan kissing Benny replayed in his mind. Again. Again. AND AGAIN! Mocking him for his inadequacy. Rageful envy burned his chest as he lay there with his thoughts until it was time for dinner.
Someone monitored Bumper's thoughts, emotions, and vital signals for what they had planned. The dimensional watch with a few modifications. He's almost ready; just have to wait a little longer.
Alright, we got some lore and plot progression. Some drama between Stella and Ronnie-Anne. Lincoln's planning something for Haiku's birthday. We're getting close to some of the major arcs. Get ready
