Hello, Fanfic readers! Sorry it's taken me so long to update Blood Ties, but a lot has gone on in my life. Anyway, here's the update on Vinnie's and Charley's relationship as well as Harley's role as a mole sent to Martian Command.

Preparing To Search For Vivica - Chapter Twenty-Seven

"Who? Was that...a human?" Harley asked, puzzled, "And what is she doing here at Martian Command?"

Vinnie wondered as well. But all he knew was that he had to talk to her.

"Excuse me, Harley." Vinnie replied, getting off the bed and standing up.

Vinnie now ran out. Harley got off the bed and walked to the door.

"Wait, Vinnie. We have things to talk about!" She called out, after him.

"Later!" He called back.

Harley stared angrily with her fists balled as her first attempt at find out where the Regenerator was located failed.

Charley ran down the hall of Martian Command completely embarrassed.

"I should've known this would happen." She thought.

"Sweetheart, wait up!"

She stopped as Vinnie now caught up with her.

"It's not what you think." He began.

"Oh, you mean the fact that I caught you messing around with another girl?"

"I wasn't messing around with anyone. I tripped and she fell on top of me."

"Just what kind of a fool do you think I am?" She yelled.

"It's the truth!" He replied.

"Vinnie's right. Nothing happened."

Both of them looked up to see Harley approach them.

"Charley, this is..." Vinnie began.

"I know who she is." She replied, angrily, folding her arms.

"Look, I understand you're angry but it's all for nothing. Really." Harley said.

"Charley-girl?"

Everyone turned to see Throttle approach them followed by Carbine, Modo, and Stoker.

"Miss Charley ma'am. This is a pleasant surprise." Modo said.

"Where's Vivica?" Charley asked, looking around.

"Isn't she on Earth with you?" Carbine asked.

"No. She used the teleporter to come here."

"We'd better find her. Hopefully, she's not outside. Between the Sand Raiders and the Rat Population, the Martian landscape can be pretty dangerous if you're all alone out there." Stoker explained.

"Let's split up into teams. We'll cover more ground that way." Throttle said, "Carbine and me will search the mess hall. Vinnie, you, Modo, Harley, and Charley search the sleeping quarters."

"In the meantime, I'll be in the control room in case she's there." Stoker said.

Meanwhile, a lone figure wandered alone across the yellow Martian dessert. Vivica looked around. There was no ocean nor any trees. All she saw was a large expanse of dessert dunes as far as the eye could see.

"Where did that stupid teleporter send me? It can't have made a mistake. According to the teleporter's coordinates this is Mars." She thought, "But where are the Freedom Fighters?"

Vivica now glanced up at the sky to see the two red moons of Mars mingled with a dark purple sky.

"It's dark. I'll cover more ground as a wolf." She thought.

She closed her eyes as she felt herself transforming. Fur grew out her skin. Her dark eyes took on a yellow color. White fanged teeth grew out of her mouth. Her clothes ripped off of her body as her human form disappeared and a wolf form replaced it.

"That's better. Hmm..."

Her wolf scent detected something. She followed it.

"Harley didn't find out about the Regenerator." Ondine said.

"A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Besides, she'll find a way to get it out of Vinnie." Mace replied.

"All that's fine and dandy. But I want revenge. I want those rotten mice as well as Vivica to suffer for what they did to my brother!" Ondine frowned.

"You and me both. The Plutarkians paid me well for selling out the Martian Mice population. Then the Biker Mice found out I was a spy and they stopped me. But I got even with them. Vinnie, at least, through someone he cared about. And once, I get the Regenerator, I'll be able to produce water and other natural resources to ensure Mars' future. I'll control it all. Those mice will pay me handsomely for even a glass of water!" Mace laughed.

Suddenly, a figure crashed through a window. It was a large gray wolf with flaming golden eyes and barred fangs.

"Vivica!" Ondine cried.

"I will never let you hurt my friends!" Vivica cried out.

"A talking wolf? Now, I've seen everything." Mace chuckled, as he pressed a button on the computer console.

Within seconds, Vivica found herself encased in a circular metal cage. She looked around in total shock.

"Behind bars. My dear Vivica, you never looked better." Ondine mused.

"You won't be laughing once I get out of here!" She growled.

"Don't count on it. We now have a bargaining chip. Those mice will hand me the Regenerator to get you back." Mace chuckled.

...

Within minutes, the Biker Mice put on their helmets and got on their bikes. Charley climbed on Vinnie's bike behind the white mouse. Vinnie tried to make eye contact with Charley, but the auburn-haired girl wouldn't look at him. A set jaw and angry eyes stared back at him. The white mouse looked straight ahead, head down. Whatever what was going on between him and Charley had to wait till later.

"There's a lot of ground to cover out there. Nothing but dry desert." Throttle explained.

"So, trying to find Miss Vivica Ma'am will be like trying to find a needle in a haystack." Modo replied.

"Exactly."

"But where would she be?" Charley asked.

"Hopefully, not a sex slave of those rotten Sand Raiders." Vinnie replied.

"Sex slave?" Harley asked.

"They enslave anyone they can get their grubby hands on." Carbine replied, angrily, "Including our own people."

"Which is why we have to get to her first." Throttle said.

The mice revved their bikes and prepared to ride off.

"Vinnie...be careful." Harley told him.

"Will do." He replied, throwing up a hand to wave at her.

"Now, let's Rock..." Throttle began.

"And Ride!" Vinnie, Charley, and Modo called out.
