On The Way To Brisbane Hospital:
Brandy drives the girls to the hospital to see how Chilli was doing after the surgery yesterday. "Well girls, today's a new day! Hopefully your mother got some rest after the surgery. Brandy said in a very positive mood. "I think she's look forward to seeing us again."
"Yeah, I'm to see her again I really miss her being at home with us." Bluey responded. "Yeah, I know but all we can do is have faith that she'll be home soon." Brandy said as she parks the car in the parking lot of Brisbane Hospital.
Arrival to Brisbane Hospital:
Brandy and the girls make it to the counter to check in to see Chilli who was still recovering from the accident and the surgery. "Hello, We'd like to see Chilli Heeler." Brandy said to the Pomeranian behind the counter. "Oh, sorry I don't this is a good time to see her." The Pomeranian said. What? Why?" Brandy asked wondering why can't see her sister. "Well, there's been an incident that happened and I don't think it will be comfortable for you and the kids to see." Then out of no where Dr. Shepherd comes up to Brandy and the girls. "Hey, Brandy." Dr. Shepherd said up to Chilli big sister. "Dr Shepherd is there something wrong with Chilli?" Brandy said worried about what could have happened to her sister. "Well, I'll show you if you'll just follow me." Dr Shepherd said to Brandy hold both her hands. "But Sir, I don't think it will be appropriate for the children to see." The Pomeranian said very concerned for Bluey and Bingo about having to see they're mother. "Don't worry I'll have them stay their Aunt, Okay."
Chilli's Room:
Dr. Shepherd leads Brandy and the girls in front of Chilli's room. "Now, I must warn you, What your about see is gonna be unsettling to look at. So, I suggest the kids stay behind you." Dr. Shepherd said as he was about to open the door. He opens the door and what Brandy saw broke her heart. Chilli was on the bed curled in a fetal position wearing a muzzle on her face and was covered in bruises and scrapes all over her body. Her eyes were blood shot red and had cardiac wirings on her chest where her stitches were. "Chilli!" What Happened to you!" Brandy said horrified by the site of her sister's condition. "Last night, She was having another mental health crisis. She was harming herself by biting herself and trying to pull the staples out her chest and bang her head against the wall as well as running into the door trying to break it open as it was locked. She eventually broke the door with all her strength and tried to escape. We able to catch her but she kept fighting with us so." At that moment Dr. Shepherd took a deep breath getting ready to tell Brandy what happened next. "We had no choice but to use excessive force on her so we had to tase her a couple times."
"You Did What!?" Brandy yelled as she couldn't believe what she just heard the doctor said about what he just said. "Why Would You Tased My Sister?! She Just Got Her Heart Surgery Done!" Brandy yelled at the top her lungs very furious at Dr. Shepherd knowing that Chilli is still recovering from her heart surgery and the Hit and Run. "I didn't have a choice. we had to so that our other patients are safe."
"So You Care More About The Others Patients Then My Own Sister!? She Needs Serious Help! And Your Gonna Stand There And Tell Me That Your Worried About The Other Patients When My Sister Has Mental Health Issues?!" Brandy screams at Dr. Shepherd right close to his face in front of her two nieces who were very frighten. "Look, I understand that your upset but we take our safety of our patients very seriously." Dr. Shepherd replied. "Your Lucky I Don't Have An Attorney Cause If I Did. I'd Sue Your Ass!" Brandy said as she walked up to her sister to comfort her. "Aw, Chilli."
Chilli rolled on her back to get a close look at Brandy who was hold her hand. "We gave her some medication for help calm her down so she can no longer hurt herself or others" Dr. Shepherd mentioned as Brandy started to rolling her eyes as he walks out the room. Brandy pets her sister's head as she starts to tear up. Then, There was a knock at the door. It was Radley and Frisky who came over to visit. " "Uncle Rad!" Bluey and Bingo yelled run towards their uncle to give him a big hug. "Hey girls!" Radley said as he hugged both his nieces. "Hey Brandy." Frisky said giving Brandy a hug. "Hey Frisky." Brandy responded.
"So, How are you and the girls doing?" Frisky said as her and Brandy had stopped hugging. "Well, We've just been visiting Chilli everyday and Bandit said he'll be back in 2 days. Brandy said to Frisky. "Well it's good that you've been checking up on Chilli." Frisky responded. "Yeah, Well you know she is my sister so I gotta make sure that she's recovering perfectly." Brandy said scratching the back of her head. "She kinda had an episode last night and so they to put that muzzle on her and keep her stable." Brandy as she and Frisky walk up to Chilli who laying quietly on her hospital bed. "Yeah, I've noticed."
"Hey Chills." Frisky said to Chilli petting her shoulder. "She's exhausted from the medicine that gave her an order to relax after she had hurt herself." Brandy replied. "Yeah, I can tell. She's just been through so much in her life." Frisky said as Chilli was feeling drowsy from the medicine. "But, She's a fighter. And I want you to know that." Frisky said to Brandy lifting up her spirits. Then Nurse Greyhound walks in with an ultrasound machine. "Hey Guys!" Nurse Greyhound said. "Oh, Hello." Frisky responded. "How's everybody in here doing?"
"Well, She's seems to be doing just fine. She hasn't really done much since we got here." Brandy said to Nurse Greyhound noticing that Chilli has not had an episode or attempt to hurt herself or others. "Well, That to hear. I'm just going to check her heart with the ultrasound to see how things are doing in there." Nurse Greyhound said as she walks to the other side of Chilli bed get ready to put some gel on the handheld device. " But don't you usually use that to look at pregnant belly?" Bluey said in curiosity as she didn't understand why would the nurse use the ultrasound to see her mother heart if it's only used to check pregnancies. "Usually yes, But it can only be used on other things not just pregnancy. Nurse Greyhound said educating the curious blue heeler. Huh? I never thought about that." Bluey said to herself. "Hey Chilli, Chilli your with me sweetie." Nurse Greyhound said rubbing Chilli's chest trying to grab her attention but Chilli wouldn't budge as she was too exhausted to cooperate as she could barely open her eyes. "She must be to drowsy from the medicine. It's Fine, Let's just check how things are." Nurse Greyhound then puts the handheld device onto Chilli's chest while looking at the screen to see her heart beating. "Well, Here it is. Your Mum's heart." Nurse Greyhound said looking at Chilli's heart through the screen it beats through the audio. "Wooow!" Bluey and Bingo said in disbelief as they see there mother's heart for the very first time. "I've never seen an actual heart through the screen before." Bluey said. "Yeah, it's really cool isn't it." Nurse Greyhound said in response. "Very cool!" Bluey said wagging her tail.
"Well, Everything seems pretty normal. Nothing unusual going on here. Which is a good thing." Nurse Greyhound puts down the handheld device and shuts off the machine. Then she takes a flashlight from her pocket to take a look at Chilli's bloodshot eyes. "Her eyes look a bit dilated." Nurse Greyhound then shuts off the flashlight and puts it back in her pocket. "Okay, Well everything seems to be good so far. However, the muzzle may have to stay on as a precaution. Let me know if anything happens, okay?" Nurse Greyhound said as she takes the ultrasound machine and leaves the room. "Okay, Thanks." Brandy said thanking the nurse. "I'm getting hungry." Bluey said aunt to her aunt. "Yeah, im hungry too." Bingo said in response.
"You guys wanna grab some to eat? We can go to the golden crown if you like?" Brandy said offering her niece something to eat. "Hooray!" Bluey and Bingo yelled in excitement. "Okay Chilli, me and the girls are gonna go out for a bit, Okay? I'll see you tomorrow." Brandy said give her sister a kiss on her forehead. "Okay girls, Let's Go." Brandy said to her nieces as it was time to go. "Bye Mum." Bluey and Bingo said saying bye to there mother.
"Bye Brandy, Bye Girls." Frisky said. "Well Chilli, Looks like it's just you and me. And Rad." Frisky said to Chilli holding her hand as she stars to open her eyes and quietly looks at Frisky. "It's so hard to see her like this." Frisky said in sadden as she starts shedding a single tear. "Yeah, I know babe." Radley said as he walks towards his wife comforting her. "I knew that she some issues with her mental health but I didn't think it would be like this." Frisky said wiping the tears off her eyes. She and Chilli had known each other since they were teenagers. They would always hang out and do teenage stuff even if they would end up getting in trouble for it. One time they got caught drunk in public they were both arrested and had to be put on probation. And as the years when by their friendship still remains strong even today.
"Do you wanna go outside for a walk, Babe?" Radley said to Frisky hoping that taking a walk outside would cheer her up. "Yeah, I guess going for a walk will help." Frisky said in response. "I'll come back to see you tomorrow." Okay Chilli?" Frisky said as she rubs Chilli's shoulder. Then Frisky walks out the room with her husband. Chilli is now all alone. She rolled on to her side quietly looking at the wall."It hurts doesn't it? Look at what they did to you. They tortured you, They violated you, And now you have on one. I think the only way out is through that window. Think about it, you won't have suffer in the hellhole anymore you can go home to your family." The voices said in Chilli's head telling her that escaping the hospital would be a solution to her problems. She won't have stay being tortured and be able to see her two daughters again. "It will all be worth it."
The Heeler Household:
Brandy and the girls were eating some chinese food they got for golden crown in the kitchen table. "How long does mum have to stay in the hospital?" Bluey asked Brandy while eating. "Until she makes a full recovery both physically and mentally." Brandy responded. "She may have to be looked after if she's gonna be all alone with you guys."
"So, she can't be all alone with me and Bingo?" Bluey said in confusion.
"Yeah, Plus, She gonna be on lots of different medications though they might contain side effects."
"Like what?"
"I don't know, mood swings, drowsiness, seizures, even becoming feral. Brandy pointed out.
"Feral?"
"Yeah, she's gonna have to require a muzzle so she won't hurt you or Bingo.
"But don't worry, Me and Bandit will here to make sure you and Bingo are safe. I'm not sure why would we need a drug at causes you to go feral. It sounds like pretty concerning to me."
"Okay? I guess?" Bluey said very worried about her and her sister's safety.
"I don't want mum to go feral." Bingo said in horror.
"I know, me neither. But the doctor said that we just gonna trust the process."
Brisbane Hospital:
It was sunset and Dr. Shepherd was looking at one the X-rays of Chilli's lungs. "Nurse Greyhound." Dr. Shepherd said calling for Nurse Greyhound. "Yes, Doctor?" Nurse Greyhound responded. "Take a look at this." Dr. Shepherd then hand the X-Ray to Nurse Greyhound. "What is this?" Nurse Greyhound confused as to what she was looking at. "That's fluid building up into the left lung. Which would explain why she's coughing so much." Dr. Shepherd said pointing at the left lung which was filled with fluid. "We're going to have to perform a Thoracentesis." A procedure to remove fluid or air from around the lungs).
Dr. Shepherd and Nurse Greyhound walk to Chilli's room to perform the procedure by sticking a need through the chest wall and into the pleural space to drain all the fluid into the plastic bag.
Chilli's Room:
"Chilli, We're here to preform a procedure to remove the fluid out of your one of your lung." Dr. Shepherd said opening the door to Chilli's room only to find that the room was a total mess and Chilli was missing. The window was broken cardiac wirings were torn apart from the machine. The IV tube was also torn and the muzzle was laying the floor as it was also torn. "Oh my." Greyhound was is horrified by the sight of the room. "Go call the police." Dr. Shepherd said as Greyhound runs to call the police. Dr. Shepherd kneels down a hold the broken muzzle.
Chilli was walking in the city of Brisbane all alone limping from the broken food. She still had the torn cardiac wirings stuck to her chest and abdomen as well as the IV needle still attached to her arm and three stitches were missing from her chest. The city was a ghost town. She looks into the trees that lead into the Brisbane Forest. She then makes a run into the forest hoping that no finds her as she make a journey to find her way back home.
