Chapter Four: Testing Bravery
After testing the baboon twins' strength, it was now time to test their bravery.
Kion: "Now we're going to test your bravery. Bunga, go ahead." He directed.
The next exercise, run by Bunga, was to climb a really tall tree.
Bunga: "Alright, Bongo, Bobo. You guys have to climb this tree and see how far you can climb." He explained.
Bobo: "It's a good thing I'm a really great climber." He said confidently.
Bongo: *gulps* He nervously gulped. Even though he liked climbing trees, he had never climbed one this tall before.
Bobo climbed up first, ascending the tree quickly.
Bobo: "Come on, Bongo! I'm almost at the top. You got to keep up!" He called down.
Bunga: "You've got this, Bongo." Bunga encouraged.
Bongo: *exhales deeply* He took a deep breath and started climbing. But as he realized how much further he had to go, he lost his grip on the tree and fell.
Bongo: "Ahhhhhhhhhh!" He screamed.
Fuli: "Oh, no!" She exclaimed.
Bunga quickly caught him in the nick of time.
Fuli: "Are you okay, Bongo?" She asked, seeing him shaking in fear.
Bongo nodded, still trembling.
Bunga: "Bongo, what happened? You were doing so well." He asked with concern.
Bongo: "I'm s-s-sorry. I'm s-s-scared." He stammered.
Fuli: "It's okay to be scared, Bongo." She reassured him as Bunga placed him on the ground.
Bongo hugged Fuli tightly, seeking comfort.
Bobo: "Bongo, what happened? I thought you loved climbing trees!" He called down, from the top of the tree.
Kion: "Okay, time for the next exercise." He announced, sensing Bongo needed a break.
