Perseus ran through the forest until he came upon a clearing with a small formation of rocks in the centre. On the forest floor there was a seashell. It was a conch shell. Slowly leaning over to pick it up, Perseus shook it backwards and forwards to make sure nothing living was inside it before he put it up to his ear.

Ring Ring Ring

Welcome to Triton's Phone Service, is there anyone you want to call?

"Rhodos"

Sending her line over now

Perseus had been told by Apollo to never use mortal phones as Demigods are not allowed to use them in order to keep up his facade, luckily for Perseus he was told by his brother Triton that he ran a messaging service similar to Iris Messaging, although it was primarily used by the citizens of Atlantis and other sea peoples.

"Perseus? What a nice surprise! How have you been?"

"Rhodos, I'm in Rhode Island right now, where can I meet you?"

"Come to the ocean, I will find you."

Beep

Thank you for using Triton's Phone Service!

Perseus decided to put the shell inside his backpack, never knowing when it would come useful again later. The sounds of the ocean were already close by, so Perseus left the clearing and headed in the direction of the waves hitting the shoreline.

The Forest came to an end upon the dunes and rocks, which after some careful climbing, Perseus reached the beach. Rhodos was there waiting for him.

Perseus walked up to her and she gave him a massive hug, perhaps it was too tight.

"It's so good to see you again!"

"Well, technically I'm wasting time seeing you, but perhaps you can also help me out?"

Rhodos did not like that response.

"What? You're not happy to see me?"

"I am, the main reason I came here in the first place was to see you, but I got caught up in this business with Artemis and her Hunters."

Perseus still had much to learn when it came to women's feelings, he was only young child still after all.

"Artemis? Perseus, I'm not pleased that you're hanging out with other women, especially with a daughter of Zeus!"

Completely taken aback, Perseus's face had a shocked expression to this remark.

Rhodos crossed her arms and pouted.

"Look Rhodos, I'm sorry it's not-"

"Just stop, look I'll help you with whatever Artemis is wanting you to do. But don't talk to me for a while, this has really hurt my feelings."

Perseus was completely stonewalled by this behaviour, he did not know how to respond.

"This is about that giant crab isn't it?" Rhodos pointed down the coastline. "It's over there."

"Rhodos-"

"No! Leave me alone for a while ok?"

She walked into the sea and disappeared.

Perseus sighed and began to walk in the direction she pointed.

Was it really that much of a deal that he was talking to another girl? Keep in mind a girl that has sworn eternal maidenhood? Perseus figured that while he could've worded things better initially, obviously something was wrong with Rhodos, and he didn't know what it was.

Turning around the bend of the headland, the giant crab that was obstructed by the landmass came into view. Perseus drew his trident.

"Looks like it's seafood for dinner."

The Hunters and Apollo were sitting around the campfire when Perseus returned. They didn't notice his approach, it was very late and the huntresses were lazy under the presence of two gods. He dumped the crab straight onto the fire. Immediately shocking the majority of the people sitting who were half asleep. Zoe sneered when she saw who it was that threw the crab.

"Dinner's served."

Perseus then grabbed Apollo by his shirt and began to drag him away.

"Huh? What?"

Zoe looked towards her mistress.

"Milady, what shall we do now that he hath disrespected thee in such a manner?"

"Nothing, he has fulfilled the task I set out for him, he can go."

"Shall we not tell thine own's father?"

"No, we agreed not to."

"That boy will live up to his namesake. He was much more courteous before, what caused this change in demeanor?"

Artemis looked up into the heavens.

"Something has happened to him, the seas are restless tonight" Artemis sighed before standing up.

"I am going to the moon chariot, do not pursue the boy, let Apollo deal with him for now, I imagine this will not be the first time we will come across Perseus son of Poseidon."

Eventually Perseus stopped dragging Apollo once they reached a McDonald's. Perseus ordered a Filet-O-Fish while Apollo ordered a Big Mac.

"So, what's got your panties in a twist Perseus?"

"Are you sure you should be saying that so soon after seeing your sister?"

"Meh, she doesn't care when I'm not around her, I've been her biggest source of embarrassment for centuries she's well over it."

Perseus sighed and looked out the window.

"I met Rhodos while hunting the crab, she dumped me for what seems to be no reason, although I have a few ideas on why."

Apollo grinned a bit too much upon hearing this news.

"That's awesome- I mean that sucks little man."

Perseus looked over his shoulder at Apollo with a displeased look, although if he was going to comment on Apollo's enthusaism of Rhodos being single once again he didn't comment on it.

"She seemed really annoyed a the fact that I had been talking to Artemis."

Apollo stiffened.

"Yeah well look man, I don't know how much you know Rhodos but, she's got a past..."

"To be honest our relationship was never really that deep, she just up and plucked me during a ball and said we were now dating. Went on a bunch of dates intermittently afterwards but I was always quite busy with my lessons."

Apollo sighed.

"Look man, Rhodos' one true love was Helios, my predecessor, he got majorly fucked over by everyone. He missed the drawing of the lots in the aftermath of the Titan War, so all he got was the Island of Rhodes. Things were going great for Rhodos and Helios, had a bunch of children, but then Aphrodite cursed Helios and he forgot Rhodos. So not only was Rhodos dealing with adultery, but then her husband faded too. She's got red flags written all over her."

"She never talked about any of this, nor did anyone in my family.'

"Probably because nobody wants to bring up bad memories, resurface dramas. Look, what you need is to find a new girlfriend, and this time I'll be your wingman, so you can find a real babe, like that lieutenant of Artemis from earlier, she's totally into you bro."

"Well, I thank you for this information Apollo, although I probably will have to decline your help. I don't need it nor does that hunter like me, she clearly hated me."

"Nope, this time you will be learning from me! I will not be taking no as an answer!"

"This is because I asked Artemis for a task isn't it?"

"You're my servant, not her's! So yes you will listen to me when I say that this is for your own good!"

Perseus sighed.

"Alright, but please can we not harass Artemis's hunters again."

"I can't promise that, but since you insist, we'll try other girls. They can be massive killjoys I suppose anyways" Apollo reached out his hand. "Deal?"

Perseus closed his eyes and shook his hand.

"Deal."
