Yubel578: No, he's going to prevent that from happening.

brandonh06: Thanks.

kirbymaster800: Her and Celestine most likely will share the title of Alpha of the harem, but that depends on whether or not I have enough to make a harem or just go for Olga, Celestine and Chloe.

Perseus12: It's not THAT Lucien, just a giy with the same name.

Nikolias Dragneel: Werewolves do have immortality like Vampires, but they can still die. The only thing they prevent is the aging, kinda like the Lycans in the Underworld series. Lucien was probably hundreds of years old and he looked like he was in his twenties.

Guest25: Thanks.

Disclaimer: I do not own Kuroinu: Kedakaki Seijo wa Hakudaku ni Somaru. I only own the OC Kaeden Hunter.

Having stayed in the cave a little longer until he felt ready to go, Kaeden said his goodbyes to Lucien, who was going somewhere else. Kaeden had asked the man to help him control the beast, but Lucien said he could not. He only gave advice on what Kaeden had to do before the first full moon; get far away from civilisation to safely transform, and ensure he's got a good amount of animals to hunt and feed on rather than human flesh. Once the full moon passes, things will be easier for him from then on, but he should be wary of certain problems like Werewolf hunters.

One thing he did suggest... was forge himself a pair of weapons made from pure silver. Whether to kill himself if the curse becomes too much for him to bear, as not everyone could handle it and opted to kill themselves rather than remain a monster that seeks flesh and blood, or use the weapons to kill others that become a threat to him. Kaeden's choices were his own.

It took Kaeden most of the day until he reached the town he and his family stayed in, where his family used to stay actually. A tear fell from his eye at the memory of them being slaughtered, his mother, his father, his little brother and sister... butchered by that animal.

He shook the memory from his head, not wanting to be reminded of it, how his family died, how he'll become a beast in twenty nine days from now. That thought made him think what to do in the time he had left before his first transformation. Forge a pair of swords made from pure silver, to dispatch any other vicious Werewolves he encounters or anything in the cruel, harsh world and... then what?

'Well, I always wanted to explore Eostia. Maybe take up mercenary work to earn some gold.' Kaeden thought to himself as he walked into the town, soon drawing gazes and he heard the whispers... his hearing was already greater than it had been before just as his eyesight and sense of smell had vastly improved. Lucien said the senses would be the first things changed after the bite.

"Oh my Gods..."

"That's Kaeden..."

"Where's his family?"

"Why is he covered in blood?"

"You don't think..."

"No, he's a bright young lad who loves his family. There's gotta be another explanation for this."

Kaeden just sighed and continued on towards where his house was located. He needed to change clothing. He was not going around with bloodstains on his shirt, and he needed to bathe, to get the smell of his own blood off his skin. He ignored the whispers that he could easily hear, and made it to his house which he barged into and shut the door behind him.

He stared ahead, memories of time in this house with his family coming top the forefront of his mind. Experiences he'll never have again.

Sighing again, Kaeden pushed off and got to work on filling up a bath and grabbing spare clothes. He placed the pack Lucien gave him, which was filled with the pure silver materials given to him, what was needed to forge a pair of weapons to defend himself.

Once a bath was filled, he stripped off his dirty clothing and got into the tub, sighing as the warm water touched his skin and he relaxed, as if all the troubles he was experiencing just faded away from the warm liquid surrounding him. He leaned back, staring up at the ceiling, just lost in his thoughts. He gently ran his hands along his arms, washing himself, then splashed his face with water and ran it through his hair, soaking it.

A few minutes later, once he was properly washed and cleaned of any dried bloody, he got out of the tub and dried himself off before donning spare clothing which consisted of dark pants, dark boots, and a sleeveless top. It wasn't much in terms of protection, but it'll do for now until he can muster enough gold to buy better clothing. He had a feeling he'll need it.

Grabbing his bag of materials, Kaeden left his house and went towards the local blacksmith's shop, with the forge being tended to by a man named Kane, who looked up from sharpening a sword upon Kaeden's entry. "Ah, Kaeden! Been hearing a lot of talki about you recently."

"Yeah, I heard that myself." Kaeden said with a small smile.

"Talk of you coming back with blood all over you." Kane said with a concerned frown. "Where's your parents? Your little brother and sister? You take a shortcut while they take the long way?"

"They're dead." Kaeden said blankly, causing Kane to freeze and look at him in shock. "They were murdered by a Werewolf."

"A Werewolf?" Kane's eyes widened. "Good Gods, lad, I... I'm so sorry." His eyes widened as another thought came to him. "You survived, were you..."

Unsure, Kaeden looked out then stepped inside, closing the door before he pulled his shirt to the side to show the healing bite mark, to which Kane's eyes widened in horror. "You can't tell anyone!" Kaeden said pleadingly. "I just need to have a pair of swords forged and then I'm leaving. I have twenty nine days until I transform, and I want to be far away from people when that happens. I... I don't have the courage to take my own life. I have to try and control it."

"Kaeden..." Kane sighed and put the sword down, looking at him sadly. "You're looking for a cure, aren't you?"

"There is no cure except death." Kaeden said bitterly. "Look, I just need a pair of swords forged from pure silver." He opened the pack to show the silver inside. "It'll come in handy if I meet another Werewolf out there and it'll let me defend myself against anything beyond Werewolves. Once I have my weapons, I'm packing up and leaving. There's nothing for me here anymore, and I don't want to be here when the full moon comes."

Kane sighed again and nodded, gesturing to have the pack. Kaeden handed it to him and Kane emptied it onto a table, humming at the material. "Where did you get this?" He asked.

"A friend." Was all Kaeden said, getting a look from Kane but he didn't push as he got to work while Kaeden watched.

Only half an hour passed before Kane finally finished up and presented the swords to Kaeden, who approached and hesitantly held his hand out before placing it on the silver blade. The result was a hissing sound, like something burning, and he grimaced before pulling away with heavy breathing, looking at his hand to see a nasty burn mark that started to heal at a rate that wasn't normal.

"Silver is dangerous to Werewolves." Kane reminded.

"I know I just... I had to see what it was like." Kaeden said. Kane grunted and grabbed two scabbards along with a belt, which he handed to Kaeden and helped him strap the scabbards to it, followed by sheathing the blades. The handles weren't made from silver, so it was safe for Kaeden to hold the weapons. It was just the blades themselves that were made from pure silver.

"I wish you well on this life you're going to lead." Kane said with a sad tone, knowing that eventually... Kaeden was going to be hunted and pursued when people begin to find out what he is. No matter what Kaeden said about control, eventually he'll lose that fight and kill someone, and have hunters after him.

Kaeden simply nodded and left the shop, with nothing but his clothes and swords on his person. He didn't know where he was going to go from here, but it was just the beginning of this new dark chapter in his life...

Another short chapter, I know. I'm struggling with coming up with ideas for Kaeden to do during the twenty nine days before the full moon, I'm actually struggling thinking of what to do when the first full moon comes. Whether Kaeden transforms and is far from people but does kill hunters, or he can't get away from a town quick enough and transforms. I'm very much struggling on what to do next, or whether I should just timeskip to near the events of canon.

I'm still not sure, but I could use help and ideas. So if anybody can help supply ideas to help push this story along further, it would be of great help.

Harem: Olga, Celestine, Chloe.
