David Readan was a Dom ace left over from the One Year War, he had been intially part of Garma Zabi's invasion force and was later along with a black ops Zeon squadron given an assigment to inflitrate a supposed Federation base near Nepal, however the squadron was virtually destroyed by an overwhleming Federation Force looking to drive the Zekes out into space, David was the only survivor of the squadron. However as a result David was stranded on Earth as Zeon lost the One Year War, wanting to continue the Spacenoid fight David kept hiding in differing Zeon remnants from time to time, eventually accidently joining Haman's Neo-Zeon as Glemy gathered whatever Zeon remenants he could such as the Rommel Corps and other ex-OYW Zekes and David was put in a makeshift Zeon Squadron with other Zekes.
This makeshift squad all had differing motivations, the 3 Zaku II pilots were rookie pilots from Axis whom volunteered as they had never seen the Earth and wanted to help conquer Earth for Lady Haman, the Gouf pilot was one of Kycilla's old loyalists that had ended up being stranded on earth, the Zygok pilot took part in the Battle of Jaburo in the OYW as an ambush unit, but retreated after Char's attempt to take Jaburo failed misrably, they managed to hold their position throughout the war.
They also managed to rescue Haman's cousin during an rescue operation Zyle Griffon (Descendant of Fuala Griffon from Victory Gundam) who had been captured by Karaba forces, Zyle wasn't particularly close to his cousin as his mother (Haman's moms sister) had remained in Side 3 instead of going to Axis, Zyle had spent most of the period between UC 0080-88 being raised on Side 3 by his mother and father and in UC 0088 he volunteered to join his older cousins Neo-Zeon forces and was deployed as a Commander, unlike his cousin he wasn't wasn't cut out for MS piloting and it resulted in his capture and after being rescued helped plan tactics on the ground, whlist David executed the operations in the MS.
David's squad were overwhelmed by Shadow Squadron, the Zaku II pilots were inexperienced as it is compared to the ZZ Gundam Mass Production Type pilot as well as the Gouf pilot just being beaten by a superior suit, the Zygok held on for a bit longer, the GM III pilot was definitely inexperienced and had his advantage negated during the battle, however the ZZ Gundam MP double teamed it and considering the age of the Zygok, it was eventually defeated, David knowing the odds increasing against him, decided to rescue Zyle and escape, he was currently flying away possibly with the Federation on his tail.
"How do you think the Earth Federation found us" said Zyle
"Not sure, but they are desperately looking for something" said David
"Maybe there after me, considering who my cousin was" said Zyle
"I don't think there after you specifically, just what the Federation does when not at war with someone, hunt remenants" said David
"Ahh, where are we going" said Zyle
"As far away from the Federation Task Force as possible" said David
"You think they were a Task Force" said Zyle
"They look like it, they've got squadron logos on their suits, ace suits as well as the way they fight is akin to an elite squad" said David
"I see, what do you think their looking for" said Zyle
"Possibly a major Zeke, intel or anything of importance, I believe there most likely looking for someone" said David
"Who could that be" said Zyle
"Not sure, could be your cousin, could be Glemy, could be even be one of Haman's inner circle such as Cello, Chara or something relating to a Zeon weapon" said David
"Do you think they may confuse me for Haman" said Zyle
"Possibly if the Federation is looking for her, you do have the silly hair colour, although yours is a lot shorter hairstyle" said David
The Dom settled on a piece of land on Northern India after flying all day in attempt to evade Federation Forces.
Meanwhile
Lance Heagan was in his office, shuffling through files in regards to the Federation Task Force he was tasked with, Bright Noa had entered the room after him and Amuro had dealt with some Titans remenants.
"Good evening Admiral" said Bright
"Good evening Bright, its an honour to meet you" said Lance as he shook Brights hand
"Honour to meet you, I've heard about the latest expliots of Shadow Squadron" said Bright
"Yeah, we believe we have tracked Haman to one area, Northern India, a Dom escaped our squad with someone who looked a bit like Haman, we believe if you or Amuro can assist then we will have no problem capturing Haman Karn" said Lance
"I'm currently on leave Lance and looking at your resources, you should have enough to fight Haman, Amuro is currently testing MS for Anaheim, I haven't seen my wife and kids since before the Gryps War, If you that desperate, maybe you should deploy yourself in your command ship and MS" said Bright
"We'll give you the Argama as well as plenty of state of the art MS" said Lance
"As I said I don't want to participate, plus with the lack of Newtypes available, if you gave me the Argama than who is the Federation willing to give that can even fight Haman, you do realise she is an ace pilot right, a dangerous one" said Bright
"I'm willing to take the risk, Haman is the biggest threat against the Federation" said Lance
"Im not sure about that, Haman's forces are completely fractured and even so Glemy Toto proved that not all Zekes there were loyal to Haman and also Judau and the Gundam Team defeated their forces, anyway their is another former Zeke i'm more worried about than Haman" said Bright
"And who is that" said Lance with his arms crossed
"Char Aznable" said Bright
"Char, hasn't he been presumed dead since the end of the Gryps War" said Lance
"Its very likely he's still alive and his sister Sayla believes his ambitions are dangerous which is why I want this task force set up as soon as possible" said Bright
"So now we are looking for two Zekes, Once we capture Haman, it will be a PR victory for the Federation, we can make an example out of the Zekes" said Lance
"And also create an Martyr for the Zekes to continue fighting, if you do capture Haman, let the Federation authorities handle it, not a show trial and execution, we're not the Titans" said Bright
"Haman is reviled anyway, if we capture her then there will be many people calling for her to be sent to the gallows" said Lance
"Still a fair trial and having fought Haman, she is a master tactician and may be using decoy units to hide in another place on Earth" said Bright
"True, I've heard stories on how she managed to use the old Titans and AEUG like chess near the end of the Gryps War in order to make the outcome favourable for Neo-Zeon" said Lance
"Yes I remember, Haman's Axis Zeon would go hot and cold with each faction, her and Char didn't get along which possibly because of their troubled past, the Titans were the antithesis of Axis Zeon in terms of the fact that the Titans were pro-earthnoid and Axis were pro-spacenoid, although there were ideological similarities" said Bright
"Yes, my brother was in the Titans, despite the Titans views, he was more sympathetic to the Spacenoids than I am now, sadly after his death and my brother-in-law's mental decline would lead me to join the AEUG as I felt they were both used by a out of touch Fascist Junta" said Lance
"I heard about your late brother Jorgan, went MIA during the Kilmanjaro offensive, he was apprantly one of the Titans best aces, nicknamed the Shadow Eagle, he was apparently a nightmare for Karaba in the 1st half of the Gryps War" said Bright
"Yeah, although its kinda sad what his legacy has become, he wanted to make a name for himself and now with the wretched legacy of the Titans, Jorgan's life accomplishments was tarnished and forgotten, his name never spoken of again in family circles and I feel like he didn't deserve that fate, he was a good person, things could of been different if he got that extra grade that would of got him into Anaheim, him and Jerid Messa were used by the Titans and both are gone, its just me and my family as well as my father left, my mother died of an heart attack not long after Jorgan's death and I lost contact with my in-laws after they were discharged from the Federation after their family name Messa was tarnished by the Titans" ranted Lance
"Im sorry for your losses Lance, we've have lost so much over these three wars, yet it still hurts" said Bright
"Agreed, yet the future looks promising, me and my wife rescued and adopted a puru clone as a daughter named Lyla and she is settling in well, if this task force succeeds then not only do we have captured a reviled Zeke, but I can restore a bit of pride in the Heagan name that had unintentionally tarnished by the likes of Jamitov, Bask and Scirocco" said Lance
"There noble goals Lance and I wish you luck, but remember don't let it bring you down, take it one step at a time" said Bright
"Yeah, I want this Task Force to succeed so I can take prolonged leave and relax" said Lance
"I see, look I need to go as I'm going to see my wife that I haven't seen in a while, goodbye Admiral, send my good luck on Shadow Squadron" said Bright
"Thanks and goodbye Captain Noa" said Lance as he shook Brights hand
A few weeks later
Shadow Squadron had been given an assignment as they believed they had Haman's whereabouts, they were to attack various suspected Zeon bases in Northern India in which the Dom that escaped had headed to.
Yazan was to lead the operation with Comms supervision from Lance, Kou and the others would support Yazan and his forces in patrolling the areas
As the Mass Production Type ZZ Gundam passed a certain area of the Indian coast, a bell rang which led back to a camp of Zeon Remenants.
"Thats our signal, get in the Mobile Suits, David" said a Zeon Officer
"Yes Officer" said David
"The enemy is near, tell Zyle to get on the speedboat nearby, its his only chance of escaping the wrath of the Federation" said the Zeon Officer
"Very well" said David as he ran as he could back to Zyle's location
"Zyle, get to the speedboats, its your only way to safety" said David
"Who's going to co-ordinate the attack against the Federation Squad" said Zyle
"Zyle, this is going to be a last stand and the last time we see each other, its been a good ride friend" said David
"Goodbye David, it was great to get to know you" said Zyle as he hugged David before David left to board his Dom and Zyle left to escape the Federation onslaught.
The squad had 2 Zaku III's as well as a Gaza C and a Zssa as well as David's Dom and were prepared to hold their ground.
The Zssa spotted the Nemo in the air and overwhelmed it with superior firepower, destroying the suit and killing Lyle, Jays GM III managed to easily take out the Gaza C and began to scan the area lookimg for Haman, as for Yazan and Kou's units, they were to capture the Dom and its pilot, however the Zaku III's proved to be challange, they were better equipped than Shadow Squadron' MS with only the Jeagan Prototype holding its own.
"This suit's power is too limited, Kou, Jay deal with the Zaku III's, I'm looking for the Dom" said Yazan as his MP ZZ Gundam flew off.
The MP ZZ Gundam had roamed the area before being ambushed by the Dom with the Dom's last remaining Sturmfast, however it was to no effect as the armour of the MP ZZ Gundam was able to withstand it.
"That weapon was useless, You will be violated, for the Federation" yelled Yazan as his managed to disable the Dom using one of the Gundam's Beam Sabers
The pilot escaped the Suit only to find three MS (as Kou and Jay's units took out the Zaku III's) all aiming at it as well as a few Earth Federation Troops that had arrived at the scene
"Your under arrest for suspicion of helping an wanted Zeon fugitive by the name of Haman Karn" said the Federation as they arrested David Readan.
