Alice had woken up after almost 8 days in the ICU. She had spent most of the unconscious and rarely had visitors because of it. It didnt help that they had put her on limited visitation, so her friends were constantly calling in to ask about her. When she had finally had the energy to stay awake for more than an hour did she text Uraraka and Kirishima.

A: Im alive, fuckers.

U: Oh, Thank God. We've all been so worried about you, how are you feeling?

K: Good! When can you have visitors? Can we call now? Are you up for talking?

U: Kirishima, calm down! We can see her in person soon.

A: Im as good as I can be. Im tired a lot Lol. So Ill prolly just text. I wanted to give you guys an update. Recovery Girl thinks that Ill make a full recovery now that Im stable. She is gonna stop by tomorrow to see if she can use her quirk on me without any repercussions. I should be able to have visitors tomorrow too- if you guys want to stop by. How are your internships going?

K: Boring without you. Even Tamaki was moping around that first day you were gone. Fat Gum has kept us updated on your condition whenever he can get information. WildSpire has been hanging around more often and has been reassuring us that youll be fine.

A: Awh. Tell him Im sorry. Truthfully. I wish I wouldnt have left. Endeavor's agency was not what I expected. He somehow suckered me into paperwork for the first day and then shit hit the fan on the second day.

U: I heard that big name agencies arent well managed, but apparently you suckered Bakugo into helping you?

A: We were placed on a team together. So Im assuming he helped because of that? Im glad he was around. He's not so bad when he's not screaming your ear off. Lol

Alice really didnt remember much after the rocks fell. She didnt remember what happened or what they had talked about. The doctor's said that Bakugo keeping her awake had really helped fight off any possible brain damage.

U: Well at least you are okay. Ill see about stopping by tomorrow. I really wanna see you.

K: Same! Im sure Fat Gum will want to tag along. He's been worried, even if he wont admit it. Lol

A: Sure, just text me when you guys are on your way over. Im sorry I made you worry so much.

K: Dont mention it! You are always here for everyone else. Its our turn now.

Alice put down her phone and stared at the device in question. The only person who she hadnt gotten a text from was Bakugo. The guy who had been at the scene of the battle with her. She knew he didnt text often, but she didnt know if he was okay. Was he mad at her? Did he regret even trying to be friends with her? Had he gotten seriously hurt?

"Oh, youre awake." One of the night nurses poked her head in and gave a smile. She headed over to the window and opened the curtains, letting the warm evening light shine in. "Im glad, you've been sleeping for almost 20 hours. You've had some visitors while you were asleep. Your mother stopped in with your aunt and they left you chocolates. WildSpire also dropped off some sunflowers. Your friends have been calling in non-stop all day." She came around and fluffed the girl's pillow. The night nurse came in at about 6pm and worked until 6am. She was a pleasant woman in her early thirties. Alice had more interactions with her than she had with anyone else on the floor due to how often she was sleeping.

"Yeah. Im feeling better today. My head doesnt hurt anymore. Has Chess been around?"

"Your Little cat friend? He was asleep on your lap this morning before I left, but I havent seen much of him. He hides from most of the nurses." The woman wrote a few things down on the girl's chart before taking her blood pressure.

"Good." Alice let her head fall back and stared at the ceiling. She was still a bit tired from everything that had happened. She still ached, but it was getting easier. She was just glad Chess was behaving while she was out cold. "Ive been worried about him. He hasnt really come out when Im awake."

The nurse put the clipboard down, she seemed like she wanted to say something, but no words came. Alice rose a brow at the woman fidgeting at the end of the bed. "So... You kind of have a visitor, but we technically cant let him in until tomorrow after you see the doctor." She blurted out after a moment. The woman's gaze lit up excitedly as if she had been hiding a secret and finally was able to tell. "But I wont tell if you wont tell."

Alice frowned and sat up a bit more, looking at the woman as she went to poke her head outside the door and yell something down the hall. "He's been here every night just after visitation. Technically your doctor said you cant have visitors unless they are apart of immediate family, but I have told that poor boy to leave more than once." She headed back over to Alice checking her temperature. "He has asked every single day if you are awake yet."

Alice didnt expect Bakugo. She really didnt. The girl had been wracking her brain to figure out who had been visiting her. Kirishima and Tokoyami were the only ones that came to mind, but Kirishima had just texted her and Tokoyami was out of town. "So youre finally awake." The blond's voice pulled her out of her thoughts and a frown flickered across her lips. He was leaning on the door in a black and orange flannel and a pair of loose black jeans. The male gritted his teeth when she frowned, it took everything in him to bite his tongue. "Oh, Im happy to fucking see you too." He said. "Dont frown at me." The male moved over to sit in the chair next to her bed and the nurse giggled before excusing herself. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired and sore, but overall okay. Recovery girl said that Ill be able to go home by the end of the week. They needed to make sure I was stable before they even thought about healing me with her quirk." Alice shifted slightly, looking awkward and nervous. She didnt remember much about that entire day.

Bakugo visibly relaxed and leaned back in the chair, a sigh escaping his lips. She looked better now. There was more color to her face, but her expression held more sadness behind it. "Good." He grumbled, his red gaze flickered to the ceiling. If he could burn a hole in the tile with his glare, he would have. "You scared the entire fucking agency."

"W-what?" Alice blinked in surprise. The entire agency? "Why? It's not like I was fighting for my life or anything." She furrowed her brows.

Bakugo felt something snap and he sat up and glared at her, "You dont remember, do you? You fucking held up a four story building so seven extras could escape. You pushed your body to the limit." He ran his hand through his hair to calm himself down. "Then fucking saved our asses when your fucking cat gave out and the building toppled. Fuck Alice, you were fighting for your god damned life. Dont you dare tell me it wasnt a big deal. Burnin' sent us out on this stupid Patrol that ended in you almost being killed." He sat forward and pointed at her. "But you saved the lives of eight people without being seen by the fucking villain. You acted more like a hero than anyone in the fucking hero courses and you arent even a real hero."

Alice's winced and she stared at the bed with a blank expression. There was that phrase again. She'd never be a real hero. She had to remember that she was just Field support. She was there to do her job and leave. Why was it so upsetting? She chose this life. It took everything in her to swallow the embarrassment of being caught just about to cry.

Bakugo's anger disappeared and he furrowed his brows, "Fuck, that's not what I meant." He rubbed his face with his hands, gritting his teeth. This was suppose to be inspirational. Why was he so bad at this?

"I know, I knew what I was getting into when I made this choice." She tried to crack a smile, but it was hard. His words stung. "Ill never be a real hero. Im always gonna be field support. A glorified sidekick. We arent meant to be in the lime light and that's okay."

"Will you shut up!" Bakugo snapped, cutting her off. "It's not okay! You are a real hero. You fucking saved my ass. You were half unconscious from blood loss and you still had the fucking reaction to keep us both safe. You keep trying to justify this support hero bullshit, but you are so much fucking more than that. You are one of the few fucking people I know has a good head on their shoulders!" He was yelling now, his knuckles white from how hard he had balled his fists up. "When that fucking building started coming down, I had no idea what to do. I lost hold of you and... I... I was so fucking worried."

Alice stared at the male as he dropped his head, her brows furrowed. She could see just how stressed out he was. She wasnt the only one struggling. Alice had heard about what happened to him which resulted in All Might retiring. She knew that it didnt go away right off the bat. Bakugo's shoulder's were shaking and he was staring at the floor. She didnt understand why he was so worried about her though. He'd stated so many times he didnt need any "extras" in his life. Bakugo acted like he hated everyone and kept even his best friends at a distance.

Alice pushed the cover's back and turned to face him, sitting on the edge of the bed. Whether he liked it or not, she was going to be there for him too. Just like he had been with her. Her entire right leg was in a brace and her arm was in a sling, so sitting up straight was a battle in itself. It was hard, but she was determined. Bakugo's head snapped up when he heard her shift. "Stop being stupid, you shouldnt be moving around." He hesitantly reached out to her, but she slapped his hand away.

"Shut up. Will you just shut up for one god damned minute and worry about yourself for a change?" Her words caught him off guard and he rose his gaze to meet hers. "How are YOU feeling? Has anyone checked in on you?" She leaned forward to look him in the eyes, concern written on her face.

Bakugo closed his eyes and rubbed his temples, no one had really checked on him, but he also didnt let anyone know just how worried he was. "Im fine, but you shouldnt be moving around."

"Ill do what I damn well please." Alice said defiantly and reached out to take his bandaged wrist. He had been healed, but he left the bandage on. He wasnt sure why, but it helped make the whole anxiety of this mess a bit easier. "What happened?"

"I broke my wrist when I blasted us out." He didnt meet her gaze. Alice frowned, frustrated that the male was being so dismissive of his own struggles. "Its nothing, dont worry about it. Recovery Girl healed it yesterday." Bakugo didnt pull away from her and let the girl gently hold his wrist. He felt his cheeks redden, but didnt say anything to her. He wouldnt even look at her, but he desperately hoped she wouldnt let go.

"Oh..." Alice didnt move away from him. Everything had gotten awkward really fast. He really wasnt going to talk to her. This whole conversation made her tired and she didnt have the energy to argue with him. Alice slowly pulled her hand away, much to his disappointment. "You look weird in civilian clothes." She said after a moment, trying to distract from the tension in the room. He looked... Good. The black and Orange flannel really fit him. It made the red of his eyes more fiery.

"Tsh, are you saying I dont look good?" His gaze flickering to her face for a moment. He was disappointed she had pulled away from him.

Alice stumbled over her words, trying to explain herself. Her brain was turning into mush."No no, its not like that.. I.."

"Im fucking with you." He snorted, a hoarse laugh slipping back his lips. Alice could feel how red her face was. "I know, I look pretty good, dont I?" He finally met her gaze, his smile faint. He'd better leave before he said something stupid. "But holy fuck do you look exhausted. Why dont you get back in bed before your nurse kills me."

Alice went to refuse, but Bakugo had already scooped her up, moving her back against her pillows. He was incredibly gentle and made sure the blankets covered her legs before he stood to admire his work. The girl's face was a dark red and she could only look away from him. "Listen, Ill stop by tomorrow. You look like you are asleep on your feet." Bakugo hesitated at the edge of her bed. He didnt even know why he hesitated. Hell, he didnt even know what brought him here in the first place. He'd get out from Endeavor's to find himself in front of the hospital doors.

"You promise?" Alice glanced at him nervously, feeling the redness creep back across her cheeks. Why was she turning this into a promise? She half expected him to laugh at her for making it weird.

"Bakugo Katsuki doesn't fucking break a promise, got it?" Bakugo reached out and gently ruffled her hair, his face equally red. This girl was going to be the death of him.
