Weeks passed and soon the School festival was upon them. Alice had really cracked down on her studies to get caught up to their level. She easily made it into the top five when it came to academics. It caught a lot of people off guard. The shy, bubbly Alice was a spitfire when she was determined. The group had went with a musical performance and spent hours playing and practicing. Alice refused to be apart of the actual singing, but due to her quirk she was easily put on the stage crew to help with movement of equipment. "Are you even doing any of the activities this year?" Uraraka linked her arm with her friend as they walked down the hallway back towards their dorms. It was about three days until the actual performance, which put everyone into a panic to get things done.
"I really dont know yet." Alice laughed. "I thought of entering the Beauty Pageant or the singing contest, but Im not competitive. Also, Helloooo, social anxiety." The girl started laughing and waved her other hand as she spoke. "But I feel like Mina is gonna force me to do something."
"You know she will, so why not choose something? Ill help you pick." Uraraka stopped the girl and stood in front of her. "You could definitely pull a spot during the beauty pageant." She nodded knowingly. "I could definitely help you pick out an outfit."
Alice felt her face turn red and she waved her hands, "No no no. I am definitely not beauty Pageant material."
"I beg to fucking DIFFER." Mina came flying around the corner and wrapped an arm around Alice's shoulder. "You have been hiding from the other classes for weeks now. Aside from like 3 people, do any of the other students even know you exist?"
Alice whined, "No and I wanna keep it that way." She hung her head. "But you arent gonna let me do that, are you?"
"Oh Sweetheart, Im glad you caught on to my shenanigans so fast. Im proud of you!" Mina grinned and linked her arm on the other side of the small female. "And now you cant escape because both Uraraka and I can just lift you off your feet!"
True enough, by time they had gotten back to the dorms. Both Uraraka and Mina were carrying Alice under the arms as she tried to play dead weight. "Just let me die!" Alice whined, her legs dragging behind her as the two girls brought her into the building. "I dont want to do the beauty Pageant."
"Um, its that or you sing in front of everyone." Mina put her hands on her hips. "I dont even know if you CAN sing." The pink haired girl pondered. "Either way. Id still make you do it. You have to at least do ONE event."
"Why!" Alice straightened as the girl's released her, her face red from being dragged across campus back to the dorms.
"Because! How is anyone gonna know who you are?" Mina grinned. "Its perfect. I bet Bakugo would help you with an outfit! His parents are fashion designer's~"
Alice felt her entire face turn red. The two girls had been teasing her since Bakugo took over Kirishima's spot on the couch. He was there for every. Single. Movie night and refused to move. He complained that it was because his ass hurt from sitting on the floor, but he wasnt against Alice leaning on him during the movie and also refused to make her move off the couch. Kirishima didnt actually care, but it was fun to tease Bakugo about his obvious affection. "I dont need Bakugo to help me with an outfit." Alice crossed her arms. "When are you gonna give up about him and I?" She asked, crossing her arms.
Mina laughed, "Never. Why? Because it bothers both of you more than it should." She grinned and leaned close to Alice. "And if you didnt like him- you wouldnt be so bothered by us teasing you."
Alice just groaned and swatted at the girl, who danced away from her. "So first- we have to find you an outfit. Lets go raid your closet." Mina grabbed Alice around the waist and promptly hoisted her over her shoulder. "Come on Ms. Alice! We've got a Rabbit to meet about some tea."
Uraraka laughed and followed along after her, grinning up at Alice. "You know Mina means no harm." She said, trying to calm her scrambling friend who had grabbed the door frame in some desperate attempt not to go into the elevator.
Kirishima and Bakugo had just come down stairs, watching the chaos unfold. "What the fuck is going on." Bakugo managed, watching the black haired girl claw desperately at the door frame to escape.
Kirishima shrugged as they headed into the kitchen to grab a water before they went to the band practice. "So when are you gonna admit you have the hots for her!" Kirishima whined as they got their drinks.
"Because I dont." Bakugo grumbled and slammed the fridge door. "Her being a good friend automatically makes me have the hots for her?" He rolled his eyes.
"Well, not just that! Dude! She's the only girl you even remotely let near you, let alone TOUCH you. Also you try not to yell when she's around, so you are being considerate AND how many times have I caught you walking out of her room." Kirishima cornered the male in the kitchen, a wicked grin on his face. "You dont even do that for me!"
Bakugo snorted and held his palm up, explosions pattering off his skin. "One, she's not annoying like the rest of the girls. Two, shes considerate to me. Three, she needs help with her homework." The male shrugged absently, annoyance clearly on his face. Kirishima wasnt wrong. He HAD started to feel something more than just friendship towards the girl as she had really started to come out of her shell. Mina really brought out a side to her he hadnt known to exist. She was more sassy now and wasnt afraid to argue back with him, especially when it came to debate in class. It wasnt like he'd hurt her. So she learned she was okay to pick at him. He took the challenge and ran with it, which had caused him to realize that he did enjoy the girl a lot more than he originally had. "We're friends."
"And she said she liked you! Ive told you this a thousand times!" Kirishima whined and let the male past, following him towards the door. "But you dont believe me!"
"Well, why should I? Tokoyami said he couldnt date her so you are trying to sucker someone else into dating her?" Bakugo snorted. "Move onto the next sucker, why not date her yourself?"
"Because I dont like her like that! Ughhh! I dont see Alice interact with any of the guys aside from you, me, Denki, Deku, and Tokoyami. She's absolutely terrified of Todoroki and I dont even include Mineta. Actually... I shouldnt even include Deku because he's scared of her." Kirishima followed behind, tapping his finger's to his lips. "But you guys would be so cute together!"
"Deku is scared of her? Ha! She's harmless." Bakugo started laughing. He wasnt surprised. Alice had went from this shy little girl to a real spitfire in the matter of weeks. She had even gotten close to figuring out Deku's secret a few times. The girl was smart. "But who the fuck cares. Im content where things are at anyway. No need to complicate things with needless emotions." Kirishima just groaned loudly in response to the male. Bakugo was difficult when he wanted to be, even if Kirishima had made his point. Bakugo had realized he had some sort of interest in the girl, but he didnt trust the male's words that she liked him back. Bakugo had learned not to assume that sort of crap from his old hag of a mother. Until Alice had made it clear she wanted him- he'd stick to just being friends with her.
Mina trapped the girl in her room and locked the door behind her. Alice was sitting on the floor and Uraraka was in the chair beside her. "You quite done?" Mina grinned down at her and Alice stuck out her tongue.
"No, I think I have some more chaos in me." Alice mused faintly and ran her hand through her hair. The girl stood and grabbed a hanger from her closet to hang up her jacket before it got wrinkled. "Okay, so... you'll get this one chance. One. You can help me pick out an outfit, but you can not judge my choice of clothing. Got it?"
Mina gasped, "DEAL." She squeaked and pushed open the door, looking over the different types of clothing. "Everything is black."
"I said you couldnt judge me." Alice retorted and went to sit on her bed with her legs crossed.
"Ugh! Fine! Uraraka, come help me." Uraraka laughed and stood, looking in the closer for something that the girl could wear. They were bickering back and forth to find something to put together.
"If that doesnt work, we can do a quick run to my mom's to raid that closet." Alice said casually, leaning back against her pillows. "Though I might have to dig through some boxes because I never got to unpack when I moved." The girl tapped her finger's to her lips. Her mom wouldnt mind, but did she really wanna bring the two girls to her apartment? It felt a bit weird for just a class event.
"I dont think we will need to." Mina took a step back, holding a simple black dress. "I never see you wear dresses, so I didnt think you owned any. I thought we might have to get creative, but this will work." She turned to the girl and grinned. "Do you have any hats?"
Alice narrowed her eyes and motioned to the box that was on the top shelf. Uraraka grabbed it and moved over to the bed, ripping the tape and opening it up. She fished around inside for a moment before producing a black ribbon and a simple black sunhat. "Everything is Black." The female said with a dramatic sigh.
"Its different shades of black, thank you." Alice took the hat and put it on, adjusting the brim with a faint smile. "My mom got me this hat on my 13th birthday. I forgot I had it." She took the ribbon from Uraraka and held it in her hands, looking confused.
"Here, let me." The brown haired girl tired it around her friend's neck, leaving in a loose bow on the side of her throat. "Oh goodness, you look adorable." She grinned. Alice could feel her face heat up at the girl's words.
"Put the Dress on, I have to see this all together." Mina hopped in place. "I need to see it. Its super simple, but I think it will work for you! Your standard boots will look great with it." Alice was hesitant, but nodded sheepishly before she stood and started to unbutton her shirt. She quickly changed, feeling weird about changing in front of others. Its something she never got used to. Alice was a pretty private person when it came to showering and undressing. She rarely showered with the other girls because of it. She spun in place after the dress was on, looking over her shoulder at her friends.
"What do you think?"
"I think you look absolutely stunning!" Mina gasped and put her hands to her lips. "You are an absolute Doll, I had no idea you had so many freckles. The black really makes your skin look paler, it makes your freckles stand out."
"Really?" Alice felt her face turn red. "T-thanks. I did see a small tear on the hem that I will need to get fixed."
"Oh! You should really ask Bakugo to do it." The pink female waggled her brows. "I bet he knows how to sew."
Alice rolled her eyes, "Or I can do it myself." She scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"Do you even know how to sew?"
"... No. No I do not."
"See! Ask Bakugo." Mina put her hands on her hips. "I will make this happen, just you wait."
Alice just groaned, which caused Uraraka to start laughing. The brown haired girl had pushed Alice to talk to Bakugo more, but aside from that- she didnt harass her. Alice had just mentioned her crush on Deku and the whole conversation had abruptly stopped. "If I ask him, will you leave me alone until after the festival? I want some sort of peace before I make a fool of myself on stage."
Mina tapped her finger to her lips and side eyed the girl, "Go ask him now. In that dress. I saw him downstairs."
"No!" Alice gasped and took off the hat, her face turning redder at the mention of going downstairs in the dress to ask the boy for help hemming her dress.
"Yes!" Mina squealed and grabbed onto Alice's arm, dragging the girl towards the door. "Do it and Ill leave you alone for the rest of the week!"
Alice just whined in response, but didnt fight back when the girl started to drag her to the door. "Uraraka, at least come back me up!" Alice pleaded over her shoulder.
Uraraka just sighed dramatically, but followed after. "Fineeeee. I guess Ill support you. Just this once."
