June 29th 2003
Harry had returned to the Ministry with only two days left before his wedding. He had been worried that his assignment would take longer, but luck had been on his side- but not on his case's side. He knew Auror partners could be split up for different cases if necessary and Harry had been taken from the dragon case to try to help hunt down Rodolphus Lestrange. He was, frustratingly, still evading the Ministry. Harry had gone off with Neville, Jefferson and Williamson for two weeks while Dora went off with Dean, Savage and Proudfoot for the last three weeks.
Harry had worried he might not get back in time for his wedding. Ginny was gone for a few games anyway, but both promised they'd be back in time. Molly had scolded both for being completely fine with the risk of missing their own wedding.
He was surprised to see the taskforce hunting the new leads on Elroy were back as well, but no sign of Dora. When he asked, Savage didn't seem to give him a straight answer, but he was also buried in a mountain of paperwork. The case had become a thorn in the Ministry's side. There were now a total of twenty four missing Muggle girls. The Ministry connected with the Muggle Prime Minister after the tenth disappearance, and tried to have a public statement issued, warning girls not to travel around London alone. Still, girls kept disappearing. They'd find signs, as usual. IDs, jewelry, personal items that would send Elroy's message to the Ministry- I got another.
Thanks to Elroy being so cocky and confessing to Dora, they knew what was happening to the girls and it made the case more difficult. They weren't sure why Elroy targeted girls, but they were always under twenty four. They still hadn't found out the significance. Proudfoot had said it was probably a fetish, which made Harry feel sick at the thought of someone finding such a horrific death pleasurable. He had walked in on Dora crying after the Ministry found a souvenir for the youngest victim yet- a girl Teddy's age, who had wandered away from her parents a few months ago. They had only found her shoes, gently placed beside a tree in a park a week after she vanished.
Harry Apparated home and knew someone was home, because he could hear music through an open window. Neither of them would leave a window open if they weren't home.
Harry entered through the kitchen door and noticed the curtains were drawn. Dora met him in the kitchen. She looked like she hadn't slept in days, dark purple bags under her eyes standing out in stark contrast to her pale face. She had a graze along one cheek and bruising around her nose along with a split lip that looked mostly healed, and suspiciously finger shaped bruises that wrapped around her neck.
"Where is everyone?"
"Ginny's still at her games, I imagine." Dora said. "Remus went to clean up his classroom and he took Teddy with him."
"When did you get back?" Harry asked.
"Three days ago." Dora said. "You must have just gotten back to the Ministry, huh?"
He nodded. "Yeah, we got nothing. No idea where Rodolphus is hiding. Are you okay? What happened with Elroy?"
"He's been arrested." Dora said simply as she walked back to the couch. Harry noticed she was limping.
Harry sat in the armchair, and noticed there was a pillow and blanket shoved into the corner of the couch.
"Okay, so that's good." Harry said. "They can charge him with Roofie's murder, right?"
Dora nodded.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, just haven't fixed this minor shit yet." She said, gesturing vaguely at her face, even though that wasn't what Harry meant. While he obviously cared about any of his fellow Aurors being injured, he knew finally catching up to the guy who killed a childhood best friend had to be bittersweet.
"Did he make the arrest difficult?" Harry asked. "Is that when...?" Harry gestured to his own neck and she shook her head.
"It wasn't the actual arrest, this all happened before it. I got separated from Savage and Proudfoot. It was stupid, really. I ended up running into Elroy, and he wouldn't have recognised me. Maybe thought I was just someone who got lost, none of us were wearing our robes." Dora said. "He got a bit handsy, I tried to get away, he Apparated with me and I Splinched. Not badly, just a nasty cut on my leg, but it was enough to give him another chance to try to subdue me, I guess. I caught a glimpse of where we were and it- it must have been where he had his dragons, I could hear them and there were just... pieces of other people there."
Harry's stomach turned unpleasantly.
"Savage was able to find us after someone managed to beat the shit out of the bastard-"
"I assume by 'someone', you mean you?"
"I do. I saw the body parts and I thought of Roofie and all the girls we didn't find... the ones we couldn't save, the ones we apparently didn't even know about, and I just got mad." She said. She still bore the scars from the fire that took Roofie's life, the scars wrapping around her left arm and moving up her shoulder and the left side of her neck and jaw. They had faded a bit over the last couple of years, but not by much. Harry knew she could morph them away but she rarely hid any of her scars. "But he's been arrested, so... that's that, I guess."
"What happens to the dragons?" Harry asked after a moment.
"They'll be put to death. If they have eggs, those eggs will be sent to some reserves." Dora said. "The others have tasted human flesh, it's simply not safe to allow them to live. That'll be up to the Beast Division to handle, not us. We still have a few of Elroy's helpers to find, Savage is hoping to get him talking."
"If he does, it won't lessen his sentence-"
"God, no." Dora said. "He still has all of the murders to answer for, our department now has to try and figure out exactly how many victims he had, because some of those bodies were definitely men, but they must have been another dragon's victim. We know there's no bodies when The Jewel kills."
The Jewel had become what the department called the dragon they later found out was a Korean Kingsnout, a nearly extinct beast with iridescent gold and teal scales. None of them had actually seen that particular dragon, but Harry figured none of them wanted to. It ate its prey like a snake, and knowing it took a week to swallow its food had made most of them hesitant to want to face the beast, not wanting to risk that fate.
"It's just so insane that we've worked on this case for so long and that's it. We got him." Dora said.
"That must be why Savage was buried in paperwork." Harry said.
"Yeah, I feel a bit bad for that, I told Dawlish I could go in and help with that part, but he sent me home anyway after St Mungo's finished their examination." She said. "Everything was clear and fine, they were going to let me go right back to active duty, because it's really just a sore leg and a few bruises, but they also discovered that I'm pregnant again."
"And everything's okay?" Harry asked.
"I guess somehow, I got really lucky despite the mission. Dawlish just gave me a few days because I'll be removed from active duty anyway, and I am really not feeling well this time around. We're still a bit nervous, though, considering we've already lost two."
Harry opened his mouth to speak.
"I know the first one was Bellatrix." She said quickly. "But the one last year wasn't. Keep it to yourself for now, okay? We're just going to wait a couple more weeks before telling anyone, but we figured as godfather, you should know first. I'm due in the middle of February."
"I'm godfather again?"
"Well... of course you are!" Dora said. "We haven't told Ginny yet, we're going to make her godmother to both of the kids. She's not back from the games yet, so we haven't had the chance."
"She said she'd try to be back yesterday-"
Dora shrugged. "You also said you'd be back yesterday, to be fair. As long as she's home by tomorrow, you'll still be married as planned and poor Molly can stop stressing."
When Ginny did get home the next morning, Remus giving her the news of her becoming Teddy's official godmother and godmother to the new baby immediately overshadowed any story she had from the games she had been gone for. "Nothing overly exciting happened besides our wins, but this is such great news! You're officially my godson, Teddy Bear!" She declared, scooping up a giggling Teddy as soon as he ran into the kitchen to see her. "Does he know?" She asked quietly. Harry shrugged.
"No, he can't keep secrets." Remus said from where he was cooking breakfast. "That bit of information stays between us four."
"I can too keep secrets!" Teddy argued. He had changed his hair to match Ginny's fiery orange. Harry was struck with the sudden realisation that this image of Ginny holding a boy with fiery orange hair could very well happen again, with their own son. He had never imagined he'd get married, because he figured he'd be dead by eighteen, and now they were less than a day from getting married. He certainly never thought of kids. Not until he had proposed to Ginny.
Ginny and Harry had exchanged a look. Despite being the son of two people whose lives had been nothing but keeping secrets, Teddy lacked the ability. Everything from overhearing Harry telling Dora when he was about to propose to accidentally exposing Fleur's third pregnancy after Fleur had quietly complained of her nausea to Bill, nothing Teddy heard was kept confidential. He was fantastic at overhearing, but terrible at keeping it to himself. Fred had jokingly called him the next Rita Skeeter. It also meant all four adults in the house were very careful with silencing charms and locked doors, because none of them wanted Teddy to catch them doing anything they didn't want their friends or families to hear about.
"Where is Dora?" Ginny asked as she set Teddy down. He crawled onto a chair at the table.
"Asleep." Remus said. "She's feeling a little rough today."
"From work?" Teddy asked. "Cause she has all those boozes-"
"Bruises." Remus corrected. "Work just makes her tired sometimes. Can you go and wash your hands, Ted?"
Teddy sighed, but slid off of the chair and ran out of the kitchen.
"Is she already sick?" Ginny asked. "Because maybe Teddy believed the work thing but-"
"It's a bit of both. She slept a lot when she was pregnant with Teddy too, but this mission didn't help matters." Remus said. "We actually only found out because she ended up in St Mungo's after getting into a bit an altercation with a suspect."
Ginny looked at Harry. "Related to...?"
"The Elroy case, yeah. They wrapped it up the other day." Harry said. "I didn't actually get to do anything interesting on my mission, seems like they had all the action. I feel a bit cheated sometimes." He shrugged. "But, your games. Harpies won three of them-"
"Yeah and the last one was a load of-" Ginny paused when Remus cleared his throat as Teddy ran back in. "- nonsense." She finished lamely. "I could have caught the snitch but Penstern accidentally ran into me when she was trying to hit a bludger. I could see it, it wasn't going to hit me but she insists she was aiming it away from me."
"I can't believe the Canons actually won a game." Harry said, grabbing a stack of plates. "Against you!"
"I know! I'm so glad none of you were able to come to the games, I'm never gonna hear the end of it from Ron!"
July 1st, 2003
The wind that made setting up the wedding difficult finally died down just before the ceremony. It wasn't hot, but Harry was sweating. He was incredibly nervous, so he tried to focus on the sound of the waves beyond Shell Cottage. He couldn't.
Little one year old Rose was the flower girl and Teddy carried the rings, but Molly escorted both of them, to ensure neither got distracted. They weren't sure they could trust Teddy to keep Rose on a straight path. Molly adored Rose, but had strong opinions about the fact Ron and Hermione were not yet married. Harry and Ginny's engagement distracted Molly from that.
Hermione walked with Ron, maid of honour and best man. Hermione was Kingsley's new undersecretary and Ron had quit the Aurors to raise Rose full time. Rose, who inherited Ron's ginger hair, enthusiastically waved at her parents as they walked by where she was sat on Molly's knee. Dora(her hair a soft brown today and any visible marks from her confrontation with Elroy now erased) walked with Remus next, followed by Luna and Neville. The women wore long, flowing dresses that were a dark shade of blue- Harry couldn't remember what she called it, but Ginny had been quite passionate about the colour. He had had no strong feelings about any colour she had offered up.
And then there was Ginny, and suddenly, he felt like no one else was there. She wore an ankle length white dress, clutching Arthur's arm tightly with one hand. The other hand carried lilies even though the bridesmaids had carried daisies(which were Ginny's favourite), one lily pinned behind her ear as well. Harry had not known she would do that.
When she reached him, her brilliant smile distracted him from Kingsley's opening words. She was clutching his hands tightly, as if he was the only thing keeping her feet planted on the ground. She was radiating the same nervous energy Harry was feeling, stumbling over her vows twice while Harry nearly forgot all of what he had wanted to say, and then catching him off guard by the ferociousness of the kiss as soon as Kingsley announced them married.
Harry heard a camera, but found himself unable to care if it was a friend or if Rita Skeeter had managed to sneak in- but he knew the twins had proudly announced they'd handle any reporters who came anywhere near. Harry didn't ask what they had planned.
The rest of the evening was a blur. Charlie and the twins were the only Weasleys to actually get drunk, though Harry suspected Ron had been close before being distracted by Rose. Ginny's teammates were very happy to try to outdrink the brothers, while the Aurors who were able to attend only stayed a short time before having to return to work. Neville and Dora were the only ones who got to stay the entire wedding.
Knowing Ginny would dance with her father made Harry a bit sad, not having his own Mum to dance with, but then he came up with the next best thing- Molly herself, who sobbed when Harry asked.
Once the sun had set, the twins lit off fireworks over the beach, with such intensity that it almost appeared to be the middle of the day. The noise had made Rose and Dominique upset, so Fleur took them and Teddy inside so she could rest while they all got to sleep.
In the end, despite how exhausting the entire process had been, Harry was glad they didn't end up eloping.
"Are you alright?" Remus whispered, keeping his arm tightly around her waist. Dora nodded against his chest.
"Just tired, nauseous... it feels worse this time. Like I did with Teddy. I didn't feel like this last year, do you suppose that's a good sign? Maybe it's good to feel so terrible." Dora said. She reckoned she felt better than poor Fleur, though, who was currently a few days away from delivering her and Bill's third baby. She had left the wedding with Teddy, Rose, Victoire and Dominique, going inside the cottage to get some rest.
"You barely ate anything today." Remus remarked. "I think your Mum noticed."
"I think so too. Not sure she'll say anything, but I'm sure she's forming her own little theories now." Dora said. "I'm alright, Remus, you don't need to worry so much."
"I can't help but worry. I'm always afraid that I may actually lose you one day." He said quietly.
"We aren't discussing that, remember?" She asked.
"Maybe we should." He said, looking down at her. "Maybe we need to have a plan."
"I have a plan. All Aurors are required to, you know that. No resuscitation bullshit, none of that shit Muggles do to keep people alive with their machines, the kids and you get my salary for another three years after my death-"
"That's not what I meant."
"You're the one who won't make a plan for the day you can't survive a transformation."
"I mean a plan for the future, one to prevent the kind of situation that would leave our kids with no one-"
They had stopped swaying to the music. "You know my Mum would swoop right in-"
"We already know I may not make it ten or twenty years, and I can't control that. You can control it-"
"Don't start. Not here." She begged. "I'm off active duty for at least a year, let's just leave it at that for now."
Remus was quiet for a moment. "You're right, I'm sorry. I- I can't help it sometimes."
"I know, love." She said, as he pulled her back into the dance.
"I try not to-"
"I know. We've been through this a few times now, I'm starting to recognise the cycle you go through every time." She said quietly. "You started talking like this before the Bellatrix thing, those few times we actually got to see each other... and then last year... and you probably would have started this nonsense earlier if I hadn't been gone the last few weeks. You just want to protect us."
He leaned down, thankful she was wearing heels so the difference wasn't so obvious. "Precisely my issue, but my lovely wife has a very dangerous job. It's quite nerve-wracking." He murmured in her ear, pulling her tighter against him, one hand clutching hers and the other on the small of her back.
She tightened her grip around his shoulders. "Get me pregnant more often, the less I work active cases." She whispered back.
"Don't tempt me, Nymphadora."
Dora had volunteered to help Neville and Jefferson with research relating to one of their cases, but found herself bored quite quickly. Harry was on his honeymoon and even if he wasn't, he'd have been assigned to something far more exciting than what his partner was stuck with. There was nothing interesting about researching chizpurfles. Honestly, she thought they were kind of cute and couldn't imagine what a Dark Wizard would be doing with them, considering they were so insanely small.
But, being stuck on desk duty, she needed something to pass the time. She knew she could ask Remus and he'd somehow list at least five things a Dark Wizard could use the little parasitic crabs for, but then she'd be done her task sooner and back to having nothing to do. She loved and hated having a husband who studied the Dark Arts the way Remus did. On one hand, it was great that he was able to understand what she dealt with. On the other, he would make a terrifyingly talented Dark Wizard, if he ever decided that being a Hogwarts professor was a waste of his knowledge.
"I've been asking everyone who they think it should be." Dawlish said, leaning against her desk. Dora was grateful for the interruption.
"Asking everyone who what should be?" Dora asked, leaning back and looking up at him.
"Deputy Head."
"You still haven't picked? I thought you chose Williamson."
"No, and Kingsley's going mad."
"Oh. Well, Williamson is the most senior now and he -"
"Said he would tell me where to shove it if I asked. Said he wasn't interested in running this circus." Dawlish said. "He said you."
"Why?"
"Trained by Alastor, worked with the Order, your cases always get closed one way or the other-"
"The few I've actually done?" Dora asked.
"It wouldn't be right away." Dawlish said. "We'd just start the process of training you up, then you'd become Deputy and then eventually take my job."
"And what happens if something happens to you before I'm even Deputy?"
"I guess you just have to learn fast." Dawlish said. "I want someone younger. The department needs someone younger, it could mean having a Head Auror who lasts longer-"
"Unless I get murdered."
"That's been tried before, and you're still here." He said.
"Okay, and what about my pregnancy?"
"You'll still get leave, it'll give you something more to do during your desk duty months. You can either spend the next few months doing paperwork, and researching..." He picked up the book and snorted. "Chizpurfles. Exciting shite, Tonks. Or... you can spend the next few months doing paperwork and training to be Deputy. And then you take your leave starting in December, nothing changes."
"Except my workload, apparently." Dora said. "When do you need an answer?"
"Kingsley has waited this long, he can wait a bit longer. I think it is truly starting to age the poor man, though." Dawlish said. "No Head Auror has ever gone years without picking their replacement."
"Have you told him who your options were?"
Dawlish shook his head. "No, because if you all say no, I'm back to the start. Then again, if something should happen to me... Kings will just randomly choose one of you anyway."
Dora sighed. "Alright, I'll do it." She said. "But if I change my mind, you better have a backup."
"I do not, so please don't." Dawlish said. "And maybe you should start considering who you'll make your deputy, give Kings the impression that at least one Head Auror has their act together."
July 11th
"You're back to work but we're not working together again." Harry said when he approached their desks. "What's the point of being partners?"
"Well, I'm on desk duty and you're needed out there, so... our shifts won't be the same for a while. Plus, I need to be home early today for the moon, so I did the night shift. I'm sure if you got back yesterday, you could have joined me." She said as he pulled his chair back and sat, facing her. "How was your honeymoon?"
"The weather was awful." Harry said. They were planning to be back the day before so they had a day at home before Harry had to work again, but had fallen asleep early in the afternoon after Ginny dragged Harry on a hike in the rain, so he had gotten home and barely had time to shower before having to change and come in to the Ministry. "Any interesting cases?"
She shook her head. "No, nothing super interesting." She paused and then spoke again. "Dawlish offered me the job as his deputy."
"What?!" Harry asked. "That's great! I knew he was considering, because he was asking everyone-"
"Yeah, I kind of thought Williamson might get it, but he turned it down." She said. "It's just shitty timing for him to finally decide, since I'll be going on maternity leave in a few months."
"But you said yes, right?"
Dora nodded.
"Didn't I tell you years ago-"
"Yes and I still think you must be related to a seer."
"Well, with a family tree so large, there's a good chance." Harry said. "Hell, you and I are related too-"
"Everyone who is related to a pureblood is related to each other somehow, Harry. Including you and your new wife, isn't that fun?"
Harry rolled his eyes as Dawlish walked over. "Welcome back, Potter." He said, dropping a file on Harry's desk. "New leads on Lestrange. Tonks, find anything out about that bird?"
Harry looked between the two of them. "What bird?"
Dora held out a picture. It was Ollivander's shop, but there was the same bird outlined on the windows that had been burned into the floor of the atrium. "It's been showing up in a few areas." Dora said. "I haven't been able to identify it, and we don't know who is doing it, or why."
"What kind of message do you think they're trying to send?" Harry asked.
"At first we thought, maybe it was someone who didn't like the Order controlling the Ministry, but-"
"It's not a phoenix." Harry said, though he wasn't entirely sure. It look similar enough, but this bird looked thinner and more like a vulture. Maybe it was a phoenix and the artist was just unable to actually create one. "Is it?"
"It's definitely not." Dora said. "Wrong body shape, neck is a bit too long... but I don't know what it is. It almost looks like a vulture, but- Oh!" Dora grabbed a book, flipping through it. "I know what it is, it's an augurey!"
Harry and Dawlish looked at the picture she had opened to. "But what does it mean?" Dawlish finally asked.
Dora scoffed. "Oh, come on, I was told to identify it, I identified it! Now you want me to know what it means?"
"Consider it your next assignment."
August 2003
Harry pulled his chair over next to her. "We're all having dinner together tonight." Harry said.
"Who?" Dora asked. She would be nearing fourteen weeks now, which was around the time she had lost the one the year before, but this time she had noticed a bump already growing. She hadn't had that, or any symptoms, last year. She wondered if that was a good thing, that maybe this pregnancy would go alright. She had already started to show very obviously around the fourteen week mark with Teddy too.
"We invited Molly and Arthur over, and figured you two should join-"
"That's not very much notice, what if we're busy?"
"I know both of your work and home schedules and all of your friends, so-"
"Maybe we were going on a date, did you consider that?"
"No." Harry admitted. "Are you?"
Dora laughed. "No." She said. "Is there a special reason, or you just don't have enough time with me at work and then seeing us at home all the time?"
Harry shrugged. "Well, I thought it'd be a bit rude to invite Molly and Arthur and not you two because it's your house. So, are you up for it?"
"Well, they're going to be in my house, it'd be a bit rude not to interact, yeah?"
"Molly, you didn't have to bring anything." Harry said, accepting the tight hug and kiss on the cheek from Molly.
"Oh, nonsense!" Molly said, setting the dish down.
"Where's Dad?" Ginny asked, accepting the hug from her mother.
"He'll be here any time, just finishing up at work, I imagine." Molly said, making her way to Dora and Remus. "Where's Teddy?"
"Ruth took him to the cinema." Remus said. "We will make time to come and see you before I go back to work."
"You better, Bill and Fleur are bringing their lot." Molly said. "Maybe we'll have a nice dinner with everyone this weekend, haven't done that in a while."
"Harry and I will be out of town." Dora said. "We're headed to Romania, remember?"
"They have you working missions pregnant?" Molly asked. She had reacted to the new Lupin baby the same way she had reacted to all of her grandchildren so far and Dora and Remus were pretty sure she was working her way up to be considered another grandmother figure to Teddy. Ruth had already done so, and was called Nana Ruth by Teddy while Andromeda was his Gran.
"It's not a proper mission, there's zero risk. Just an escort." Dora said. "But we will be gone all weekend."
Molly looked disappointed. "We'll just have to plan another one as well, then." She decided, taking the plates Dora had just picked up. "You should sit, dear. I remember how you felt with Teddy-"
"Thank you, Molly, but I'm fine." Dora said as Molly set the plates on the table.
"You're showing so much already, I wonder if you'll carry the same way you did when you had Teddy." Molly remarked. "You looked so much further along until March came around and things slowed down for you-"
"Yeah, Mum said that too. God, I hope I don't carry the same." Dora said. "I was so uncomfortable the entire time with Teddy. You'd think my body would have been able to handle it since I can change whatever I want anyway."
Molly gave her a pat on the shoulder. "When I was pregnant with Charlie, I carried the same way. I would have thought that pregnancy was twins. Hardly showed at all with the twins or Ginny. It's all very random, you might just have unfortunate luck. Some women just don't get easy pregnancies."
Over Molly's shoulder, she spotted Harry and Ginny exchanging a look. All through dinner, the two kept exchanging glances. It was nearly unnerving, as if they were having an entire conversation without saying a word. Finally, Ginny gave Harry a pointed look and he drained what was left in his wine glass.
"So, uh, we actually have two announcements." Harry said. "You know the house across the street?" He asked Remus and Dora.
"The green one that just went up for sale?" Remus asked.
"Yes, uh, we bought it." Harry said. "We move at the end of February. I do wish we could have found a house on this side, this backyard is so enclosed."
"That's just because Alastor never had the hedges cut back and valued his privacy so much that he put a spell on them to keep them growing at a frustrating rate." Remus said.
"Unfortunately whoever lives over there kept their yard meticulous. Aunt Petunia would be very jealous." Harry said. "But, it gives us something to do, we can fix up the yard to how we want it."
"And moving... is this related to you having two bits of news for us?" Dora asked.
"Oh, yeah, kinda." Harry said, exchanging another look with Ginny. "Ginny is pregnant."
Molly and Arthur jumped up, hugging the two of them first, Molly fussing over the two of them for a long time afterward.
"When are you due?" Remus asked when they all sat down again.
"End of March, just after yours." Ginny said.
"Oh, they'll go to Hogwarts together, isn't that wonderful?" Molly asked.
"A Potter and a Lupin together in class again, how will the teachers cope?" Dora asked.
"With the fact that both of them are related to Sirius and the chance that ours could be another Metamoprhmagus? Terribly." Remus responded. "And they'll have the summers and breaks to plan new pranks, we didn't get that extra time until Sirius and James were living together."
"I didn't need the extra time." Dora said. "Made it up as I went, but I didn't have my Dad at the school all year, so maybe they won't be so bad?"
"If they get ahold of the map or cloak, we're done for." Harry said.
"I may have to get rid of the map, then." Remus said.
"Hold on, you're going to move in to a new house, when Ginny's only a couple weeks from having a baby?" Dora asked.
"Well, yeah, we- they're not moving out until the end of January and then we wanted to fix a few things before we moved in. End of February's just our best guess." Harry said. "You'd be alright with us staying until then, right?"
"We don't want to be in the way once you have yours." Ginny said.
"Of course." Dora said, and Remus nodded. "You won't be in the way, I'm certain."
"We also had another question." Harry said. "So, obviously, the baby has a lot of family on Gin's side, but... not really any on mine. I was wondering, if you'd be alright with the baby calling you their Aunt and Uncle?"
"We'd be honoured." Remus said.
"Neither of us will have nieces or nephews otherwise. We just have to start claiming them from you lot." Dora added.
