Chapter 7: Where's the original Ghostbusters?
"The original Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters: The Original Movie Novelizations Omnibus. That's it. Wait, Amazon." Carrie replied.
Carrie turned her head and took the book the original Ghostbusters: The Original Movie Novelizations Omnibus. As Carrie and opened up Peter, Ray, Egon & Winston from Ecto-1.
"'Ghost attack New York City. The Manhattan in the year: 1984 by Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler & Winston Zeddemore.' 1984." Carrie replied.
Carrie sitting by herself looks at the screen at the computer. Doing a little more digging, she found a link to the Amazon and saw the chair in the library while Carrie watched the original Ghostbusters on the computer screen. Carrie clicked on the link to the photo of Ghostbusters: The Original Movie Novelizations Omnibus by Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler & Winston Zeddemore.

Books by Winston Zeddemore. Carrie saw the writing & Amazon page: "I LOVE THIS TOWN!".
"Peter Venkman. "Back off man. I'm a scientist." That's it. Ray Stantz. "Get her!" I don't get it. You promised you wouldn't do this. "Egon Spengler. "I collect spores, molds, and fungus." Is there, right? Winston Zeddemore. "I love this town!" Wait a minute, the city: New York City. Yes. Okay, I got it. YouTube, right." Carrie replied.
Doing a little more digging, Carrie found and watched a link to a YouTube video titled "New York City Ghostbusters 1984" and Curious and more than a little anxious, and with that familiar feeling of butterflies churning in the starting to develop. The video had 85, 517 views, 236 likes, and 14 dislikes. In the video, a woman clutching her young daughter ran out of 550 Central Park West with her son by her side. It switched to bystanders pointing up into the sky.
"New York City Ghostbusters 1984. Wait, Manhattan." Carrie replied.
The next clip showed their vehicle: The Ecto-1 arriving at the scene.
"The Cadillac. Ecto-1." Carrie replied.
Peter stepped out of the front passenger side and greeted the crowd. Ray and Winston headed to the back of the car.
"No way." Carrie replied.
"Ghostbusters! Ghostbusters! Ghostbusters!"
The crowd cheering for Ghostbusters.
"Ghostbusters." Carrie replied, as she to raise a small smile.
Egon's Proton Pack was put on his back. Carrie looked at the video. The clip shifted to after Gozer was defeated. Egon emerged from the building and hugged Janine. People chanted for the Ghostbusters.
Carrie watched, found, clicked on the link video titled "Ghostbusters meets Gozer" on the video had 345,891 views and 654 likes, and 20 dislikes… The Ghostbusters lined up at the foot of the stairs to the Temple of Blats. The temple doors opened and there was a bright light. Gozer suddenly appeared between Zuul & Vinz Clortho in a pre-chosen form…
"It's a girl." Ray's 1984 video replied.
Gozer took a female form and she petted Zuul on the head.
"It's Gozer." Egon's 1984 video replied.
"I thought Gozer was a man." Winston's 1984 video replied, as he turned to Egon.
"It's whatever it wanted to be." Egon's 1984 video replied.
"Whatever it is, it's gotta get by us." Peter's 1984 video replied.
"Right." Ray's 1984 video replied, as he turned to Peter.
"Go get her, Ray!" Peter's 1984 video replied.
Ray silently realized he fell for it. Peter gave him a nod. Ray took several steps up, then addressed them.
"Gozer the Gozerian?" Ray's 1984 video asked on concern.
Gozer turned to Ray.
"Good evening." Ray's 1984 video replied, as he walked and pushed. "As a duly designated representative of the city, county and state of New York, I order you to cease all supernatural activity and return forthwith to your place of origin or to the nearest convenient parallel dimension."
"That ought to do it. Thanks very much, Ray." Peter's 1984 video replied, as he turned around.
Egon turned to Peter and Ray.
"Are you a god?" Gozer's 1984 video asked in concern, as she in demonice voice.
Ray turned his head to Peter nods and turned to Gozer
"No." Ray's 1984 video replied.
"Then die!" Gozer's 1984 video replied, as she turned its upper torso and arms back toward the temple and lightning from its fingertips at the Ghostbusters…
Ghostbusters were yelling out. Zuul and Vinz watched. Carrie stared in mute horror for a minute or as she watched Ghostbusters were shot across the roof and barely clung to the edge of the building… The crowd of screaming and civilians down on the street could see the lightning and exclaimed.
"Oh, my God." Carrie replied, as she was shocked and watched.
As they gathered themselves, Winston looked down at Ray.
"Ray, when someone asks you if you're a god, you say, "Yes."." Winston's 1984 video replied.
Ray nods.
"This chick was toast." Peter's 1984 video replied.
They marched up to the temple side by side. Ray placed his Trap down.
"Holding it." Peter's 1984 video replied.
Ghostbusters took out their particle throwers.
"Got your stick?" Winston's 1984 video replied.
Gozer crouched down.
"Heat them up!" Peter's 1984 video replied.
They switched on the throwers then shouted.
"Smoking!" Winston's 1984 video replied.
Gozer snarled.
"Make them hard." Peter's 1984 video replied.
Ghostbusters shouted.
"Ready!" Ray's 1984 video replied.
"Let's show this prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown." Peter's 1984 video replied.
Gozer snarled.
"Throw it!" Peter's 1984 video replied.
They fired at Gozer… It growled then double flipped across the air. It landed on the altar outside the structure…
"Nimble little minx, isn't she?" Peter's 1984 video asked in concern.
"We better go full stream." Egon's 1984 video replied.
"Aim for the flattop." Ray's 1984 video replied.
They blasted her again. Gozer simply vanished.
"Wasn't do hard." Peter's 1984 video replied, as he turned to Ray.
"We neutronized it." Ray's 1984 video replied, as he turned around. "You know what that means? A complete particle reversal."
"And we had the tools. We have the talent." Winston's 1984 video replied.
"It's Miller time." Peter's 1984 video replied, as he held out his right hand.
Ray and Winston were gleeful and did the hand-stack…
"Ghostbusters are gods? Gozer the Gozerian. Wait a minute, Cross the Streams. Got it." Carrie replied.
Carrie clicked and watched on the link video titled "Cross the Streams" on the video had 579,247 views and 903 likes, and 35 dislikes. Ghostbusters ran and crouched down.
"Funny, us going out like this. Killed by a 100-foot marshmallow man." Ray's 1984 video replied.
"We've been going about this all wrong. This Mr. Stay Puft is okay. He's a sailor. He's in New York. We get this guy laid, we won't have any trouble." Peter's 1984 video replied.
The giant white: Stay Puft Marshmallow Man climbed up the side of the building.
"I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways. We could reverse the particle flow through the gate." Egon's 1984 video replied.
"How?" Ray's 1984 video asked in concern.
"We'll Cross the Streams." Egon's 1984 video replied.
"Excuse me, Egon. You said crossing the streams was bad." Peter's 1984 video replied.
"Cross the Streams." Ray's 1984 video replied.
"You're gonna endanger us. You're gonna endanger our client, the nice lady who paid us in advance before she became a dog." Peter's 1984 video replied.
"Not necessarily. There's definitely a very slim chance we'll survive." Egon's 1984 video replied.
They exchanged looks, Peter stared at Egon, as Egon raised an eyebrow, Peter gave Ray a friendly slap to the face.
"I love this plan. I'm excited to be a part of it. Let's do it." Peter's 1984 video replied.
"This job was definitely not worth 11,500 a year." Winston's 1984 video replied, as he grumbled.
They ran to the Temple of Gozer just as Stay Puft lifted his head up and reached for the rooftop. Ray narrowly dodged his flaming hand and yelped.
"Hurry." Egon's 1984 video replied, as he told everyone.
"See you on the other side, Ray." Peter's 1984 video replied, as he told Ray.
Peter opened fire on the Temple of Gozer, past its open doors. Winston turns around to Stay Puft.
"Nice working with you, Dr. Venkman." Ray's 1984 video replied.
Peter side-eyed Ray. Ray fired, too, and they crossed their streams just as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man's head appeared behind them.
"Let's turn them on, Spengler!" Ray's 1984 video replied.
Egon and Winston fired. Ray implored Egon to cross the streams.
"Now, Spengler!" Ray's 1984 video replied.
Crossed the Streams made an odd sound. Stay Puft saw what was going on and a horrified look came on its face. The four proton streams combined into one big one, blasting right into the temple.
"GET OUT OF HERE!" Peter's 1984 video called.
An explosion was triggered. The Ghostbusters ceased fire and ran off screaming. Stay Puft was caught in the blast wave and blew up…
Marshmallow residue shot out everywhere. Civilians ran for it as the residue rained down on them. A firefighter tried to put out some residue on fire with an extinguisher.
A man, the name of Walter Peck, stood near Ecto-1. He looked up and shielded himself, a large glob of residue fell on him, he screamed and cursed.
The sky cleared, the roof was in ruins, the other dimension was gone, the other side of the building was visible through the structure, the Terror Dogs were statues again.
"Cross the Streams. Ghostbusters destroyed Gozer and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Ghostbusters saved New York." Carrie replied with a smile.
While watching the video the same Freddy from before came up to Carrie and told her. "Uh, you know…"
Carrie immediately looks behind her and sees Freddy. Carrie was about to think it was a trick when…
"Sorry. I was just going to say, you can make it full screen." Freddy replied.
Carrie relaxed hearing that. She looked down and saw Freddy fingers moving on the computer and moving the arrow to the full screen button…
"Watch." Freddy replied.
Freddy pressed the full screen button and the screen of the video covered the whole computer. Carrie was glad this wasn't a trick and was thankful for Freddy's help.
Freddy turned around and walked out of the library.
Carrie kept watching the video, fascinated by seeing what you could do with Ghostbusters.
Carrie read soon, they could barely keep up their mortgage and the final nail was when some actor bought up most of Tribeca, and they lost the Firehouse... At some point after the Ghostbusters disbanded again, Peter became Professor Emeritus of Advertising and Promotion at SUNY Cortland and got married to Dana Barrett. Ray went back to running Ray's Occult Books. He covered the rent for Ray's Occult. Winston's business was named Zeddemore Industries. Winston also got married and had children…
"They lost the Firehouse. Professor Emeritus of Advertising and Promotion at SUNY Cortland and Peter married Dana Barrett. Ray in Ray's Occult Books. Zeddemore Industries and Winston married and had children. Egon. Got it." Carrie replied.
Carrie read soon, Egon stole Ecto-1, his proton pack, all the ghost traps, and sixteen ounces of fuel isotope. This action proved to be the final nail in the coffin for the Ghostbusters and they were forced to cease operations entirely…
Egon relocated to a Farmhouse in Chamberlain, Maine. He took a quote from Revelations 6:12 and painted it on improvised signs outside his property. Janine Melnitz periodically visited Egon over the years, took care of him, and made sure his bills were paid on time. Egon still accrued a significant debt…
"He relocated to a Farmhouse. Revelations 6:12. Janine Melnitz. He is here. Before, he died." Carrie replied.
Carrie found and watched a YouTube video on the picture's Where are the Ghostbusters now?
"Where are the Ghostbusters now?" Carrie asked in concern.
Carrie found and watched the newspaper photo of Ghostbusters read:

"Oh, my God. Ghostbusters gone? I can't believe it." Carrie gasped, as she is slightly sad from Ghostbusters gone…
