Another part of the story has everyone asking questions. The person who can answer them is currently a tower of Babled. Will things go easy for everyone? Or will it become vicious because of the language block?
Only a few people in his inner circle would know of his truth: how he was an old soul moving on from one person to another, how he had lived for hundreds of years and seen kingdoms rise and fall. In his life on Remnanat, he had seen many things. A certain part of him assumed he had, in a way, seen everything this world could throw at him. Yet Ozma was truly amazed at what he was seeing right now.
He watched a video of a Grim showing emotion and, most importantly, acting Human. Which was by far the most disturbing thing in the video; what was more disturbing was what came after the video, from the words of Qrow. Having to double-check, he was certain that he had heard what Qrow had said. Ozma asked one more time. "Are you certain you heard it talk Qrow, not mimic some speech? And that for a fact it was attacking other Grim"
Qrow was shaking his left leg and sipping a glass of water. "I'm telling you, Oz, whatever it spoke, I sure as hell never heard someone say those words before. It wasn't mimicking someone's words it heard, it spoke its own damn language. And yes, Oz, everything that I saw in those areas of battle had Grim markings everywhere. No hunter was in those areas, its footprints lead from each one back to its den. That thing was hunting grim Oz, thinking back it might have saved the kids. So tell us Oz what the hell is that thing."
Tai was on the opposite side of Qrow seemingly also shaken by the video he saw, he was nursing a glass of some type of liquor as he was also looking at Ozma for some answers. He had already told them before that this was a new type of Grim, they knew that he didn't know much about what was going on. They were looking for assurance, something to tie them back to reality. The only things he could come up with were to assure them that they were sane and safe. Was something that would make them feel unsafe. So once more he came up with a white lie to help them.
"As I said before Qrow this is a new Grim, one that I have never seen before. I even looked more in-depth in my records to try and find out what type of Grim you are facing. Yet I have come up with nothing, the only thing that can come to mind is that the Queen is making a new type of Grim. One that is smart enough to think for its own, and whatever you saw is one of those Grim."
Tai and Qrow both looked at each other a concerned look on their face. Tai was the first to speak back. "So if this is a new type of Grim that she's working on why send it here alone, why send it to Patch why have it kill other Grim and protect people."
That was an answer he had been working on, so he spoke calmly and answered. "It is possible that her experimentation had failed. That the Grim you have on Patch somehow escaped wherever she is based and fled to Patch. Maybe it wasn't violent enough for her or enough hate for mankind. As Qrow said it seems to be hunting its own kind and protecting the island from other Grim. The Queen failed to make a new piece for the board so now it's on its own. Which gives us a chance."
Qrow looked at the screen, his eyes seemingly already knowing the answer to his question, but he asked it anyway: "A chance to do what Oz."
Ozma gave a slightly fake smile, but he knew this was the move to make. "To try and get a Grim to tell us what it knows, and to get ourselves a piece from the Queen's side to our own."
Qrow stood up quickly kicking the chair back. "You can't be serious Ozpin! It's a Grim for all we know it can be a long con. Try and get close to us to kill us."
Tai was quick to back Qrow up: "I agree with Qrow. We don't know anything about this Grim. We don't know its motives. Trying to recruit it is not a wise move to make Oz."
Ozpin maintained his look at the two. "We won't know what this Grim wants unless we talk to it. If we do let it join us, we will make sure it's on a tight leash. But first, we will need to make sure it won't run away. I've called out for team HUNT to go to Patch, I'll be coming alongside them to capture this Grim. If it acts out, I promise you two I will personally put it down."
Qrow brought the chair back to him and sat in it nursing his glass of water. "I don't like this Ozpin. I don't like it one fucking bit." He let out a sigh as he looked at Tai. "But it's your kids it rescued Tai. Whatever you say goes for me."
Ozma looked to Taiyang waiting for the answer. He already knew what he was going to say, a Grim protected his daughters he owed the Grim for saving them. Even if it was the arch-enemy of the world he still wanted answers to why it did. Tai let out a sigh and nodded to Ozpin. "I want answers from it Ozpin, we capture it and we get the answers we need. But if it goes anywhere near my girls, I don't care if you want it alive I will knock it down."
"You have my word Taiyang we will get our questions answered from it. I'll be there in three days' time along with team HUNT. continue to make sure that our mysterious Grim doesn't try to leave Patch." Ozpin finished that statement by looking at Qrow. "And see what else you can tell that the Grim can do. Is everything clear?"
Both Qrow and Taiyang nodded their heads and gave an affirmative to his question. "Good, get some rest it should be nearly night there. We have long days ahead of us gentlemen." With that Ozma turned off the video feed and leaned back in his office chair. A Grim that could show emotion, talk, and use magic or some sort of Semblance. What was Salem planning on making some Grim like that, how far had she gotten in mastering the Dark Brother's arts of Grim making?
There was a strike of worry in his heart about this new Grim if she was able to make something like that. What other kinds has she been working on? He could only wonder what other monsters he would have to prepare for, what Grim he didn't think possible he would have to contend with. His mind was already going to that dark place, showing monsters that would bring down the walls of Vale, and bring Atlas down from the sky. With a deep breath and exhale he was able to push his mind away.
He would need to involve Gylnda in this and pass on the information to her. They would need to prepare an area for keeping their guest, which meant using both of their favors to get workers and materials to the academy and keeping everything down low. If needed, he would reach out to his Atlas contact to make a cage for their Grim friend if they proved more hostile than friendly.
With those thoughts gone though he reached into his desk and pulled out his old Tome. He went to the most recent entry on the Grim and began to write the words he never thought he would write on one of them.
Grim Intellgence level, Sentient.
It had been a few days since Uncle Qrow came into the house shouting about the Grim that saved them, and how it talked. Dad brought them upstairs after being stunned by Uncle Qrow's proclamation telling them to go to their rooms. She did as she was told but once she heard a voice she hadn't heard before come from downstairs, she may have snuck out of her room to listen in.
She must have started listening midway through their talks as she heard them talking about trying to capture the Grim with a huntsmen team, along with possibly killing it. She wanted to try and speak up to talk about letting the Grim be, but she knew if she tried her dad would only yell at her. Tell her that she didn't know what was going on, she was still in trouble for her last mistake and didn't want to anger her dad anymore. So after listening in she went back to her room to Ruby's bed and held her close.
She could feel the tension in the air as she absent-mindedly ate the pancakes before her, she knew that today was the day that man and the team would be coming. She heard her dad and uncle talking to the man on their phones throughout the day making sure everything was ready for them to arrive. A part of her was excited to meet a real-life huntsmen team, but a majority of her was worried about how they were going to treat the Grim. The Grim saved her and Ruby they should at least be trying to talk to it first before caging it.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door, her dad was upstairs in his office planning the rest of the day. So she hopped off her chair and went to the door to open it. When she did she stared up at a grey-haired man and a small group of people behind him. When the man looked down at her, he smiled and kneeled down to her eye level. "Hell there, you must be Yang. Is your father home?" She nodded and looked to the staircase but kept an eye on the man. "Dad some people are here to see you!" She heard rapid footsteps coming down the stairs her father looking at his scroll and then up at the door. Her dad smiled as he took her place at the door.
The grey-haired man stood up and offered a hand to her dad, her dad smiled and took his hand then brought the man in for a pound hug. The two separated and her dad spoke. "Ozpin been a while since I've seen you in person, I see you brought the team with you." The newly identified man let out a light cough and straightened himself out from her dad's hug. "That I did Tai, I hope it won't be a burden to have everything readied in your house." Her dad looked past Ozpin at the group of hunters behind him, and gestured them into his house. "It won't be a bother fact I just finished making some breakfast so come on in" He looked down at Yang crouching and smiling at her. "Yang, why don't you and Ruby go up to your room, I have to do some boring grown-up talks with these people. So for today, I'll unground you for a bit and you can play your video games today. Okay?"
Yang just nodded and went over to take Ruby away from the breakfast on the table and up to their room. When she was going up the stairs, she made sure to look back at the strangers coming into their house.
After Ozpin came into the house he was followed by a tall man with orangeish-red hair wearing a green trench coat, some sort of body armor covering his chest, brown pants, some black work boots, and some sort of face covering that was warped around his neck. He seemed to have good relations with her dad as the both of them had started talking, he had turned to her father showing his back to her. It looked like he had a quiver on his back and a compact spear above his waist.
After him was a shorter man in some sort of greenish-brown full-body clothing that only exposed his dark brown eyes to the world. Beside his clothing, what made him stand out was the bird-like legs that only some of his clothing exposed. He had some sort of musket with a curved stock over his shoulder. She saw at his hip some sort of curved blade in a scabbard slightly swung about. He seemed to be the quiet one of the group as he simply took a seat and waited.
The fourth of the group to enter was a girl with light orange hair with a bubbly attitude, she had a dark brown cowboy attire on from head to toe, wearing cowboy boots, and even a hat to finish the set. On her hips were two resolvers and a lasso to truly finish the look. She was talking to the bird leg member of their party as she was grabbing a mug of coffee to drink.
The last one to enter was someone who was only a bit taller than Yang but had a full suit of dark orange and brown armor on, carrying a hammer that was about her size through the door. What really made her pop out though was her blue skin and bright blonde hair. She let out a huff as she gently sat the hammer on the ground letting out a loud thud as it was set on the wooden flooring. She closed the door behind her and then went to lean against one of the kitchen counters.
Seeing as now everyone was here Yang went up with Ruby to her room to wait. Of course, she wouldn't honestly wait, she would play some games with Ruby and then listen in on the so-called boring grown-up talk.
Tai set a cup of coffee in front of Ozpin as he took his seat at the head of the table. In front of the group was a map of the surrounding area with where the Grim had made camp circled. Team HUNT along with Ozipin were all having some food to fill themselves up after their long trip here. Tai looked to Henna his reddish-orange hair still as vibrant as ever. It had been a while since he'd seen him from their days at Beacon, but it was good to know he was still kicking. Though from his team make up it looks like none of his other team members stayed with him after he graduated.
The room was fairly quiet as everyone was looking at the map wondering where they would go and how their hunt would begin. Ozpin was the first to break it as he noticed a certain someone wasn't around. "Where is Qrow? I thought he would be here to get things ready." Good something to break the silence. "He went to the camp to keep an eye on the Grim to make sure when we go to get it, it will be there." Tai quickly responded and looked at team HUNT and then at Ozpin. Oz gave a quick nod and answered his question. "Team HUNT has been informed of this particular Grim they are to be capturing, along with its heightened level of mimicry and intelligence it has compared to other Grim."
Alright, so they knew a bit of the picture but not everything. Tai wasn't happy about sending people to fight a Grim that was as far as they knew was sentient but if word got out wide about a truly smart Grim on Patch. Well a lot of people would be asking questions, questions that didn't lead to concrete answers, and that train of thought only led to conspiracies and mistrust. Which they couldn't have at this moment. Seemingly not being in the conversation Henna raised his hand between both Ozpin and Tai to catch their attention, giving Tai a smile as they locked eyes. "Hey like I told Oz here we've taken and captured a bunch of Grim before. You won't have to worry about this one. It might be a more intelligent one but we have taken down bigger and tougher-looking ones than this." A quick tap against the table and snap of his fingers made Tai raise his eyes. Henna looked at his team a sorry look on his face before he looked back at Tai.
"I damn near forgot introductions, well Tai you know me Henna Ash the best hunter of Grim you'll find this side of Remnant, and a graduate of beacon academy. Would have been part of the star team if a certain someone didn't beat my ass in every combat class." Tai let out a short chuckle remembering all the times he knocked Henna in the red during then afterwards having a laugh about it.
Henna wrapped his arm over the shoulder of the man wrapped head to toe in a Vauco desert dress. "This strong and silent type is our resident marksman Uguisu, can shoot the eye out of a lancer a kilometer away while its in flight. Ain't that right Uguisu." The man stuck to his silence and gave a nod. Henna just shook his head as he looked at Tai. "Known this man for years not a word out of him. We know he isn't mute just doesn't like to talk." Henna pats Uguisu back then moves over to the next member of his team.
"Cowgirl over here is-." Then he was interrupted by said member of his team with a thick northern Vauco drawl. "I can speak on my own flame-head." She gave Henna a light jab as she smiled as she looked at Tai giving a slight tilt to her hat. "Name's Nauclea Carnelian the wrangler of the time, I'm the person that catches the Grim to get sent out to wherever it needs to go. But if things go belly side up, I can fight as good old flamehead over here. Also again Taiyang thanks for the tea its better than the stuff we had to live through on the ship."
Tai smiles and nods as he looks at the next member of their team, who smiles back and waves. "My name's Tetra. I'm the designated tank of the team. If the Grim we're after gets too rowdy, I'm there to knock it out with Old Lucky by the door. Or take a few hits here and there if someone in the team is in danger." She laughs as she slams her fist against her chest plate, letting out a loud thud that echoes through the kitchen.
Henna nodded at his team's introductions retaking his seat and looking at the map. "Well, the Grim doesn't look like it's that far away from your house. I'm surprised it hasn't come after you guys yet. But since this is an older Grim I suppose it would stay away from most people. Now, me and my team will go in to bag and tag the Grim will be a basic job with only one Grim in the area. I suppose you, Qrow, and Ozpin will be in the rear in case we need trouble?"
Tai nodded and pointed at the map. "If we get here and you need help, we will come to assist. Remember we want to capture it, but if it proves too dangerous you have permission to kill it. If it tries to escape, knock it down."
Henna smiled as he took a look at the map and the picture of the grim that was on it. "Don't worry Tai we'll knock this one down a peg. Already have the victory picture in my head. Now then, when should Qrow be getting here?" The question was quickly replied to by the man arriving. "Right about now." Qrow walked over to the table, taking a swing from his flask which Tai knew had only water in it. "Our little friend is staying at his camp, and he's been looking around pretty much the past few days. I think it knows someone is going to be after it, but it has kept to its routine. So when we go for it, we won't have to worry about looking for it across Patch."
Ozpin clasped his hands together as he took a final look at the map. "Well, then it seems everything is in order. After it's captured, we'll have it sedated and shipped to Vale for research and study. The people of Patch and you won't have to worry about this Grim for much longer Tai."
Tai knew of course he would have to worry, if Ozpin's plan went ahead he might have to be working alongside the damn thing. But for the optics of the people around him he just nodded and let out a sigh. "It'll be some weight off my shoulders knowing that thing won't be around to harm my daughters. Speaking of which." Tai looked at Qrow. "Can you check on them they're usually a little bit louder when they're playing their games. Think they might be nervous about how everything's been going, so can you?"
Qrow nodded as he started for the stairs. "Be the good, supportive uncle. I got you Tai will make sure they're doing alright." With Qrow disappearing up the staircase Tai looked back at the group a full team of graduate huntsmen, and then adding him, Qrow, and Ozpin. Whatever tricks this Grim could pull out of it's ass wouldn't be enough. They had numbers and experience on their side they would grab this Grim and learn whatever secrets it had. Now all they needed now was to make sure nothing went wrong before they went out to get this Grim.
Tai heard hurried footsteps. Looking towards the staircase, he saw a look he was growing to hate on Qrow—a look of fear and concern. "Yang's gone, Tai, she—" Qrow looked at team HUNT then looked at Tai. "She ran out again." All of team HUNT looked concerned, hearing that the child had run out at this very vital moment. They looked to Tai only to have an angry sigh followed by some quick words: " God's damnit."
[linebreak]
Zet had waited three days for whoever was watching him to come again, three days and nothing. Well not nothing for the past few days he had felt like he was being watched but none of his new additions to his camp were tripped or set off. So it wasn't someone in the forest, and it sure as hell wasn't any seer that was a different feeling he would get. No, this was a feeling of being watched closely in person. He knew it wasn't paranoia. He had survived many centuries knowing what was a true feeling versus a false one.
So for this feeling and knowing he was being watched he just had to take it to the chin. Know that someone was keeping an eye on him and keeping his movements checked. So knowing that he stayed at camp, making sure not to leave and allow someone to set a trap for him. Of course, it didn't mean he was idle, no he was preparing for whatever shit storm was coming his way. He fortified his cave if he needed to fall back, checked over what his body could do, and at night scouted out the local area and added some nice little gifts for whoever was coming. If they came at him for war, he would show them war, if they came for peace. Well, the insurmountable language gap was going to be a bitch to climb. Hopefully, dirt drawings and gestures could get a fair point across.
Speaking of his newest additions, he heard the rattle of his alarms and then the quick snap of one of his snare traps. Then he heard the cry, a child's cry, and immediately ran. He didn't think he could have run so fast, but in what felt like seconds, he was there and saw bright yellow hair with some blood on it. He quickly cut the child free from the trap and ran back to his camp. He could feel the child holding him close as tears stained his fur. He wouldn't let one die again, not again, and not because of his fault.
He set the child down, looking at the wound, it was a cut on their head, not a deep one. They most likely hit the tree when they got caught in it. He grabbed some loose fur and ran to get it drenched in the nearby river to clean the wound. When he returned the child wasn't crying anymore they did seem shocked at first, but as he started to clean their wound, they seemed to calm down. It was only truly then after his panic and memories. He could look at the child and see it was the blonde-haired kid he had saved. It seems in his panicked state, he wasn't able to process who he was saving only that he was.
The kid still seemed to be shocked that he was cleaning their wound but grabbing some nearby berries and offering it to them seemed to get them back to normal. They just sat on the little log as he looked over the wound and cleaned it. Next was the part he knew kids hated, but it was a part that needed to be done. Grabbing some herbs he had gathered, he crushed them up and poured water on them. Since he was pretty much trapped at his camp, he had enough time to test out the local foliage and learn what could do what. Nicely enough he found some plants that could clean up some wounds, well they tasted like they could sour things they were. But he had enough time with gods and goddess of hunts to know what was what.
So with his improvised salve, he sat in front of the kid and looked at her. He knew there was a language barrier, but being the tall, imitating, silent type wouldn't work. So he might as well talk to the kid and make him seem more human. "You doing alright, kid?" Said kid only had wide eyes as he spoke and replied again in a tongue he could not understand. "Well, you're talking and not holding onto the head wound anymore. So I guess you're doing fine. Heh, you must be made out of strong stuff, from crying your eyes out to sitting there like I had grown a second head." The kid started to say more grabbing onto his arm and pointing out of his cave. Towards some direction, but he couldn't focus on that he had a wound to clean.
Placing a soft hand on the kid's, he patted it, then pointed to her wound and then the salve giving her a gentle pinch. "This is gonna hurt a bit, alright, but you'll get through it." The kid seemed to stop momentarily then nod, tightening their body for some pain. Holding his free hand over her brow, Zet started to apply the salve and spill it over onto the wound. The kid did wince when it started to get applied but got through it pretty well. With the salve applied, Zet turned and took out some fresher fur to use as a bandage. He placed said fur on her forehead, gently grabbing one of her hands and putting it on the bandage. "Now, just keep it there for a bit okay? I cleaned the wound but it'll get nasty if we don't keep it clean and covered, alright?"
Again he knew the words wouldn't get across but he prayed to the creator that at least the point would. The kid caught on keeping the fur to her wound and nodded. Smiling Zet patted her head and went to grab some more berries for her, when he turned to give the kid some berries, her cheeks were all puffed up, with an angry look on her face. She said some words, pointed to her hair, and gave a thumbs down. Zet smiled and chuckled then slapped his leg as he let out a laugh. The kid has blood in her hair and she is against him, ruffing it up, oh blessing to the father of this one she is a troubled child. Zet pointed to her and gave her a thumbs up, her puffed-up frown turned into a smile as it seemed they at least had a start to communications.
Zet honestly didn't know how much time had passed as he made sure the kid's wound was alright, making sure not to mess anymore with her hair. However, he did make sure to bring the tike a bowl of water to clean out some of the blood in it, which she was seemingly thankful for. For a brief moment in Zet's eye, the kid's hair turned brown, Ilac eyes to his green, and that smile one he hadn't seen in thousands of years. He had to blink and look away for a moment. Even after all this time, that wound was still fresh, the ever-burning reason he had started this war.
The kid seemed to catch onto the change in the atmosphere, looking concerned. Zet looked back and smiled. "Hells, you don't understand what I'm saying but you reminded me of my kid for a moment. Think if you two met when he was a kid, you would have gotten along. Just. Just painful remembering and thinking of what could have been is all."
The kid patted his arm and looked up to him a hand still on her wound but a smile on her face. This was a good moment if only he could speak their language, understand their tongue… Well there was one way, it was a bit of a chance. Hells he didn't know if that method would work as is but it was one magic he knew for certain could maybe, possibly, still work in this situation. But as he was about to ask the question, he heard some footfalls, they were close right outside his camp perimeter. He looked at the kid gesturing for her to stay, she seemed to say some more words grabbing onto his arm and trying to pull him back.
He didn't know why the kid was stopping him, maybe these were people looking for her, maybe these were people that were after him. But he didn't want the kid to get hurt again so he crouched down as close as he could to the ground and looked at the kid. "Listen I don't know whose out there, maybe you do. But they're most likely going to attack me and I don't want you to get hurt. So please until the fighting is stopped or I come back for you stay." Though his words wouldn't get through to her he followed them with a gesture of her staying here and his heart being broken if she got hurt. His point seemed to get across as she nodded and stayed in the cave allowing him to go out and face whoever had come to his camp.
As he walked towards his cave entrance he thought of ways to handle first introductions. Meek and peaceful, or tall and domineering. He decided to stick with what he was currently a little bit less bone armor around his body allowing more fur to be showing. As he stepped out of the cave he was able to set his eyes on who had come to visit. It did take him a few blinks to make sure he was seeing what he was seeing.
Before him was what looked to be a collection of people from different eras and looks. In the middle was some roguish-looking man with body armor and a bandana covering his face. He seemed to have a spear but also a quiver of arrows on his back, yet he wasn't carrying a bow. To his left was a girl who seemed to come out of the Wild West with her whole get-up revolvers and lasso included, and to finally fix this little circus was a blue-skinned dwarf, who was somehow handling a great hammer that was the size of her small body.
This world just kept on surprising him. He peacefully raised his hands to try and calm their nerves. That's when he noticed the blood on his hands and looked down the small flakes of blood on his chest. Quickly looking up he started to shake his head and waved his arms in a corrective way. Yet it didn't seem like it was helping as the trio in front of him got into fighting stances and started to spread out to surround him. He was about to speak something knowing of course it wouldn't work but hoping the shock would at least give him time to correct his fuck up. But he heard the rouge-looking one say something, he saw a bright flash in the distance he'd seen that type of flash plenty of times to know what it was. In a quick move, he tried to dodge the incoming projectile but had it hit his shoulder taking the whole arm with it.
He dived in his roll quickly moving some stored mass to force a new arm to take his place. Along with that bone covered his vital body parts and went to a new battle form that had increased bone, tree bark, and muscle density across the whole of his body. There was a short delay in the next move from the group before him at quickly regenerating a lost limb. He looked at the team before him, he reached over to the log he had used as a seat and tossed it at the group making them break up and aiming for the sniper that was somewhere in the forest.
A fight had started, he didn't want it but as he had learned well into his life that even if he didn't start the fight he had to make sure it was one he would win. So he would do his best to fight, survive, and stand tall over these opponents. He would do well to keep these people alive, he didn't want their blood on his hands and knew killing some people this early on into his time in this realm would not be a good start to his future.
Knowing the rouge was the group's leader, he blitzed him, crashing his bone claws against the spear in a clash of wills. He pushed hard against him trying to knock him off his footing and then knock him out. But as he was pushing against the spear having to double his muscles to begin to push he noticed a slight glow around the body. It also looked like this person had the magical protection that the drunk did. Reaching back with his other claws he went to strike but the said leader dodged out of his strike leaving him open to a hammer blow by the blue dwarf. The strike hit his head making take a complete one-eighty making him look back at his cave.
He could see the yellow hair of the kid looking out of it at him, a shocked look on her face. He gave her a reassuring blink, grabbed his head, and snapped it back into its correct place. He looked at the group again as they returned and prepared for the next blitz. Rolling his head to fix the broken joints he got low to the ground, ready to pounce. He scanned over the group and saw a similar glimmer over the bodies of the other group members. Well, he wouldn't need to hold back fully for this group. As everyone prepared for the next move, it was the sound of another gunshot that began the next round.
Team HUNT:
Henna Ash
Uguisu Almod
Nauclea Carnelian
Tetra Heather
Chapter-ending in a start to a fight scene one which I am already trying to prepare myself to write. Yang is watching this whole battle go down and is once more in trouble with her dad, but she has a good heart trying to warn Zet about the people coming after him. Even though neither can understand each other. Also a new team to RWBY verse, you may or may not see these people again in the future as you can tell by how in-depth I went into their details (sarcasm) they are pretty much cookie-cutter people for now to get the interaction between the great and wonderful wizard Oz to have a sit down with Zet.
Well, I will say this chapter was one of the harder ones to write mostly cause of writers block and also cause my index fingernail got fricked up which made it pretty hard to type. It was easier to type away for Zet this time around, but I do need to work on making sure I can more easily type for the designated MC of this story. It is easier to write for the people who are already part of the IP than my own dude.
But we are nearing what in my mind is the halfway point of the first volume of this story. After that, there will be many more guidelines to follow and know which goes where and all that. Of course, it won't be a full copy-paste of the OG timeline of RWBY cause of all the events that have already happened this early on and all that. Also I'm thinking of maybe using the Fixing RWBY timeline made by Celtic Phenoix cause that does add more depth to everything, but I know that does bring in the consequences of side content that people will need to know and all that.
Oh, and Tetra is taken inspiration from Poppy from league of legends.
