I! M! Baaaaack!
Finally! It's been a while since I've uploaded this story, but a lot of things have happened since I started writing the Hoenn Region, back in January 2021. The job, the trouble with deciding on how to proceed with the story, once I got to chapter 60, the fucking corona virus... It all piled up, so I wasn't able to write anything for this story from the spring of 2021, until September 2022. I restarted it in September, once I finished my Naruto story, and I finally had the Hoenn Region finished in the second half of February, this year. Basically, 20 days ago.
That all being said, even though Hoenn Region is finished, and all that is left it to upload it, doesn't mean that I will be uploading it to quickly. I want to drag it out for a while, while writing the Sinnoh Region. I don't want to upload the Hoenn Region to quickly, and before Sinnoh is finished, because then the story would have to go on Hiatus, once again. I don't want that, so I figured, it's better to upload three chapters a month, pretty much ever 10 days; then to upload every few days, and run out of the chapters by the end of the year. The Hoenn Region has almost 50 chapters, so with three chapters a month, it will take a while to upload it, and that will give me time to write Sinnoh with no hurry, and maybe start another story, of the bunch I have in plans. And the best part is, this way, the story won't go on hiatus, like it was in the last year and something.
One last thing. So far, the story has been relatively mild, but now it will become darker. Not too much darker, as I don't want to go overboard, but there will be some dark stuff, lemons, mentions of rape and torture, character death... and maybe some other stuff. As I said though. I won't go overboard, so anyone can read the story... if they want to, of course.
Now, with all that explained, lets get on with the story.
The first few days after Ash, Amber, Leaf and Serena returned to Pallet Town, they spent resting from the journey they have been on for a long time, and which left them all, pretty exhausted.
Those few days, Serena has spent in Ash's house with him, Amber and Delia, but she has also been spending some time every day with her Pokémon at Oaks' ranch, which is where they were all left after Ash and the others returned home.
During those few days, Ash got a call from Kurt, who told him that he has finished all the Poke Ball's, Ash has ordered to be made, and have agreed that Kurt will send them to Pallet Town, while Ash will send the money necessary for all the Balls.
Once the Poke Balls have arrived, Ash gave Amber, Leaf and Serena the ones he ordered for them, and sent the rest to Misty and the others for whom he has ordered them.
Ash has also used those first few days home to think about when he will start his journey to Hoenn, and should he first go somewhere on a vacation. In the end, he has decided to go and spend few months in the Rota Kingdom, where he can learn about some projects that his father is working on along with Riley, Urahara and some other scientists.
Once they learned about this, Amber and Leaf decided to go with him, while Serena, even though she wanted to go with Ash, decided to go back to her home and spend some time with her mother, who she hasn't seen in over a year. Ash told her though, that he will call her and tell her when he plans to continue his journey as she wants to travel with him.
Before he left, Ash visited Oak's Ranch, and told his Pokémon that he is going to Rota, and won't be back for a while. He also told them to behave themselves, and that once they have rested, that they should continue their training, and not slack off.
And so, Ash, Amber, Delia and Leaf, left Pallet Town, and went to Rota Kingdom. At the same time they left Pallet Town, Serena went to Viridian City, from where she went back to Kalos Region, via a plane.

It has been four months since Ash, Amber, Leaf and Delia arrived in Rota Kingdom, and a lot has happened since then.
First thing that happened, is that about a month after they arrived, Amber got a call from a guy called Scott. He introduced himself as the owner of a Battle Frontier, which are a bunch of facilities in Kanto, where a challenger challenges one after another, and if he/she defeats all the leaders, he/she is given the privilege to become one of the leaders.
Amber thought about it for a few minutes, and in the end decided that she will go to Hoenn Region first, and compete in the Hoenn League, and after she was done there, she will travel through Kanto and compete in Indigo league, and at the same time challenge the Battle Frontier.
Scott accepted this, and since she will have a lot of work ahead of her, Amber decided to cut her vacation short. After that, she got in touch with her friends from Johto, and they all got together in Vermilion City, from where they went to Hoenn Region.
Delia decided to head back to Pallet Town, at the same time as Amber went to Hoenn, so Ash and Leaf were the only ones left in Rota Kingdom.
The next thing that happened, happened just two weeks after Amber left, and it was very surprising for Ash and Leaf, especially Leaf, as she got a call from Mr. Goodshow, who asked her to become a Gym leader in Viridian City as they didn't have a gym leader over there, ever since Giovanni was arrested, and have been having a hard time finding someone suitable for the position.
Leaf talked with Ash about what to do, and he said that even though he would love for her to continue traveling with him, in the end, it is up to her to decide, as it might decide her future.
After some more thinking, Leaf decided to accept the offer, and has agreed to become a Gym Leader. She also said she will be using Ground Type Pokémon, so the gym will not be changing the type.
Leaf left Rota Kingdom, and went to Viridian City the next day, leaving Ash alone.

After Amber and Leaf left him behind in Rota, Ash's original plan to spend maybe two or three months in Rota, and then continue his journey, went down the drain as he got caught up in researching the colored shards along with his father, uncle and Urahara, and those two to three months became six months without him even noticing.
No one even bothered to remind him of his original plan, as they saw how interested he is in finding out what the shards can do, and if they can one day be used as alternative source of energy for the whole world.
It wasn't until one phone talk with Serena when she asked him about his plans to continue to travel that Ash realized that it has been six months since he came to Rota, and cursed himself for getting so caught up in research that he completely forgot about his training. Not that he was angry or anything, it's just that his priority is his journey and training Pokémon, and only on the third place comes the research, as Red, Riley and Urahara can do that without him.
So, Ash packed his things, and went back to Pallet Town. Along with him, he brought Tyranitar and Aggron, who are now healed, and no longer have any problems from being exposed to the Dark Poke Ball's, while being with the Iron Masked Marauder.

The first thing Ash noticed when he came in his house in Pallet Town, is that his mother has somehow gotten herself a, Mr. Mime; who is now keeping her company and helping her around the house. Ash was ok with that, as Delia is usually alone ever since he and later Amber started their journey, and Red was never spending much time at home anyway, because of his job and research.
The next thing he did was to go and visit his Pokémon at Oaks Ranch, and was very pleased when he saw that his Pokémon have taken his words seriously, and even though he was not there, they have continued their training every day, which led to some of them evolving.
The ones that evolved are; Bayleef, Braixen, Prinplup, Phanpy and Fraxure. They have all reached their final forms, and Ash was pleased with that, especially since they have also become much stronger, and didn't just evolve to evolve, but because they were ready.

Right now, it is the day Ash is to go to Hoenn Region, and is in Professor Oak's lab, thinking about which Pokémon to bring with him.
Ash now looked quite a bit older than 6 months ago. His hair style was much different as he has grown it to be longer, and is now keeping it tied in a bun on the back of his head. He is wearing cream colored pants with black buckle belt that had letter P on it, black slim-fit long-sleeve T-shirt with several buttons on the chest area. The shirt was also showing his muscles, which a kid of only 13 and a half years of age, shouldn't have, and which will defiantly make any woman feel hot just by looking at Ash. On his back he had a school bag in which he carries everything he needs for his journey to Hoenn Region.
"So, Ash, are you going to bring some Pokémon with you on your journey?" Professor Oak asked, while standing with Ash and Tracey on his ranch. All around them were a bunch of different Pokémon from many trainers that have started their journey in Pallet Town, and are keeping their Pokémon at Oak's Ranch. "I'm assuming you will bring at least one with you."
"I'll bring Tyranitar and Aggron with me." Ash said, and got raised eyebrows from Oak and Tracey.
"Why the two of them?" Oak asked.
"Well, they didn't travel with me at all since I caught them, and have had the least amount of training out of all the Pokémon I have, so I will give them a chance to show what they can do while in Hoenn Region." Ash said.
Oak and Tracey nodded at Ash's reasoning. Ash took the two Pokémon he will take with him on the new journey, and after saying goodbye to Oak and Tracey, as well as to his other Pokémon, he left back to his house, where he said goodbye to his mother and Mr. Mime, and then went to Vermilion City, where he will catch a ferry to the Littleroot Town in Hoenn Region. That is also where he has agreed with Serena to meet so she won't have to travel from Kalos to Kanto, and then to Hoenn.
XXX
The journey from Vermilion City to Littleroot Town in Hoenn Region lasted for almost a day, and when Ash arrived, at the Harbor, he saw Serena standing there on the side of the road, waiting for him.
Once Ash saw her, to say he was surprised by how much she has changed in the six months since he last saw her, would be an understatement.
Serena's hair was longer than it used to be, and is now completely straight, and tied in a high ponytail. She also wasn't wearing her hat on her head anymore.
Her clothing is pretty much the same, black shirt, short pink skirt, and black stocking, though now they are slightly bigger, as Serena's breasts seems to have developed quite a bit in the last six months, and her legs are even longer, making her look very tall.
Once Ash saw how well she has developed, he had to hold back a smirk, and hide how happy he is that Serena is one of his girls, because she is absolutely gorgeous, even though she is not even 12 years old yet. It made him wonder how good she will look in a couple of years when she develops even more.
Ash approached Serena, and once she saw him, she run at him, and almost threw herself at him to hug him.
"Ash, it's so good to see you again," Serena said, while hugging him, and her head was on his shoulder.
"It's good to see you as well, Serena," Ash said, and pushed her slightly from him, and then kissed her right on the lips, not giving a damn that there are people around them.
They kissed for about a minute, before Serena had to pull back to catch her breath, as the kiss left her breathless, and made her legs shake a little.
"I got to admit, you have changed a lot in the last six months," Ash said. "I almost didn't recognize you because of how well you have developed."
First because of the kiss and now the praise, and Serena couldn't fight back a giant blush that made her face scarlet, and it made Ash smirk.
Once Serena managed to fight back a blush a minute later, she said. "Well, I'm at that age were people start to develop a lot quicker. Though, I didn't change that much, you just think so because you haven't seen me in a while."
"I don't know about that," Ash said, while looking at Serena as if he was to eat her, which made Serena blush again, making Ash smirk again, but didn't say anything else.
"So, do you know where the first gym is, Ash?" Serena asked, after Ash released her from his arms, and after they started walking away from the harbor.
"I think that the closest one is in Petalburg City, which is few days from here." Ash said.
"Ok, are we going to start traveling to there right away, or tomorrow?" Serena asked.
"Well, we could make a stop at Professor Birch's Lab, as Professor Oak told me about him, and it might be interesting to meet him." Ash said. "Besides, there is no Pokémon Center in Littleroot Town, which means if we stay here for the night, we will have to either go to hotel, or if Professor Birch has a place in his Lab, we could stay there."
"Ok, then let's go to the Lab, and we will see from there." Serena suggested, and Ash agree, so they headed to the lab, which was outside of Littleroot Town.
XXX
While Ash and Serena were heading toward Birch's Lab from one road, another girl was also heading toward the Lab, from the other side of Littleroot Town, while riding on her bicycle.
The girls name is May, and she is a starter trainer from Petalburg City. She is heading to the Lab to get her first Pokémon from Professor Birch. (She looks like in the anime, so I won't describe her).
While riding on her bike through the forest, she run into Duskull, a Ghost Type Pokémon, which scared the hell out of her, as it suddenly appeared, and May fell from her bike, hurting her ass when she fell.
"Damn it, why do you have to scare me like that?" May yelled at the ghost Pokémon, who got scarred, and floated away, while May stayed behind, rubbing her sore ass.
After a minute, May picked her bike, and drove herself away from the forest and toward the Lab, which was very close now.
XXX
May arrived in front of the lab, half an hour later, and when she got there, she noticed a boy and a girl approaching the lab as well.
She got a good look at them, and noticed that in her opinion, the boy was very good looking, and she blushed when she saw him.
May shook her head, and waited until they approached her. "Hey there, are you guys here for your starter Pokémon as well?" May asked, not really knowing what else to ask.
"No, not really," Ash said. "We just came here from Kanto and Kalos Region's, and decided to pay a visit to Professor Birch as we heard he is supposed to be one of the better regional professors, and we might learn something from him."
"Is that so," May asked, and then she remembered she didn't introduce herself. "By the way, my name is May, I came here to get my starter Pokémon, and start my journey."
Ash looked at May, and there was a little twinkle in his eye, which was not missed by May and Serena, and then Ash said. "It's nice to meet you, May, my name is Ash, and this is my girlfriend, Serena."
May shook Ash's and Serena's hand, while also casting a side glance at Serena, with slightly narrowed eyes, which was not noticed by Serena, but was by Ash. He smirked.
At that moment, the door of the lab opened, and a big looking guy in his forties, wearing a white, lab coat was seen standing on the door. "Oh, hey May, it's nice to see you made it," he said, while looking at May. "You parents already called me several times to check if you came, as they were worried."
"They are always worried," May said with a frown on her face, and Professor Birch laughed.
"Well, they are your parents, so it's natural they are worried, as they care for you," he said, and then he noticed Ash and Serena. "And who are the two of you? All the starter trainers are already here now that May has arrived."
Ash and Serena introduced themselves, and said that they wanted to see the place, and meet him, as he is regional professor.
Birch nodded, and then led all three of them inside. "It nice to meet people from another region, especially when they are sent my way by Professor Oak." Birch said, while Ash and Serena stayed quiet.
They all arrived inside of the big room, filled with many machines, which the professor was using for different things. They were a Pokémon transfer machine, a video phone, as well as few other machines.
There were also three other boys, who looked around 10-years-old, and Ash and the girls thought they are also starter trainers.
Birch was about to introduce them all to each other, when suddenly, Ash was surrounded by all three boys, who looked at him with widened eyes, and stars in them.
"I cannot believe who I'm seeing," said one of the boys, who was wearing orange and black shirt, black pants, red bag on his back, and a hat on his head. "You are Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town, right?"
"Ahhhm, yes, I'm Ash Ketchum," Ash said. "And who are you?"
"My name is Brendan, and I'm a very big fan of yours," the boy, now named Brendan said.
"So am I, so am I," yelled another boy, this one had green hair that was going in all directions, and was as bad as Ash's before Ash let his grow so he can tie it. He was wearing light green pants, silver jacket, and had some kind of purse hanging from his shoulder. Just like Brendan, he had stars in his eyes, and also looked like he was having a seizure, as he was breathing hard.
"You should calm down kid, as you look like you are about to have a heart attack." Ash said to the green haired boy, who nodded, and then breathed in and out couple of times, until he finally managed to calm himself down, and got his breathing under control, while also losing the stars in his eyes.
"Sorry about that, I was just excited to finally met you," the kid said. "I mean I still didn't start my journey, and I already met a guy who almost became a Kanto Region Champion, and also won Orange League and Silver Conference in Johto. Oh, and by the way, my name is Wally, nice to meet you."
"B-But you are just few years older than I am," May suddenly said in disbelief! "How can you be that good?"
"Well, I train my Pokemon a lot," Ash shrugged. "And some said that it's in my blood to be a good trainers since my father used to be Kanto Champion before Blue Oak."
"I watched the Silver Conference six months ago, and saw you win, but there was nothing about you challenging the Johto Elite Four, and I wondered what's up with that?" The third kid asked? He also had green hair, just like Wally, but the shade was darker. He was wearing a white shirt and a dark green vest over it along with green shorts and a red tie. He also had a notebook and a pan with him, though Ash didn't know what he was using them for. "Oh, my name is Sawyer, by the way."
"I did win," Ash said. "But I decided not to challenge Elite Four since I was not interested in becoming a champion in the first place."
Ash response surprised everyone except Serena, and then Brendan asked. "What do you mean?"
"Well, since the League winner can challenge Elite Four whenever he/she wants, I decided to just challenge them another time, because right now I'm only interested in traveling and participating in different tournaments, but not in becoming a champion. Yes, I know that if I challenged them there is no way to know if I would win or not, but if I was to win, then I would have to refuse the title, and I didn't want that, so I just decided to postpone the battles for some other time."
"Unbelievable," Wally said. "Some trainers spend their whole lives training their Pokemon and never get a chance to challenge Elite Four or the Regional Champion, and here you are outright refusing to have those battles."
"Originally, I was planning to challenge Elite Four and then the champion if I win all the battles against Elite Four, but then I changed my mind, as there is no reason for me to do that right now," Ash explained. "I have decided to travel in all the Regions I can, compete in all their tournaments, and if I win them, I will postpone the Elite Four challenge until I finally decide to stop traveling and settle down in one place. Only then will I challenge Elite Four and the Champions."
"Well," Professor Birch started to say. "I can understand what Ash said... to some extent. If he is not interested in becoming a champion at this point in his life, then there is no reason for him to challenge Elite Four right now, because if he was to lose, then he would have to win the Regional tournament again, to get a chance to battle Elite Four. This way, he can travel, train his Pokémon, and then one day when he is ready, he can have those battles. In fact, I think Ash here has made a good decision. Some trainers jump to the chance to challenge Elite Four even if they are not ready, and then lose... badly I might add."
"Yeah, I did that after I won Indigo League," Ash said. "After my win there, I went and trained for a few months in preparations to challenge Elite Four, and I did defeat them, but that was not enough to defeat Blue Oak, and in the end I lost. Now, if I want to challenge him again, I have to gather all eight gym badges in Kanto, then win the league, defeat Kanto Elite Four, and only then will I get the chance to battle Blue for the title. All that will take months, and I feel like that would be a waste of time. There is another way, though... but I just don't see myself going that way."
Ash's words stopped the three younger boys and May in their tracks, and made them rethink their plans and goals in life. They knew about the other way to challenge the Elite Four, is to be a Gym Leader. They are allowed to challenge the Elite Four if they want, and any time they want.
"Ok then, let's go and get you four your starter Pokémon." Professor Birch said, interrupting the four kids in their thoughts.
The four new trainers went in front of Birch, while Ash and Serena stayed on the side and watched.
Professor Birch then took six Poke Balls from his desk, and released six Pokémon. They were Hoenn starter Pokemon, Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip. There were two of each of them.
"So, who will go first?" Birch asked.
It was decided that May should be first to choose her starter Pokémon, so she walked in front of all six Pokémon, and looked at them all.
"Hm, I wonder which one I should choose." May wondered out loud.
"Didn't you think about it before?" Serena asked.
"I did, but in the end, I didn't decide." May replied, while still looking at the Pokémon lined up in front of her.
One of the two Torchic, which is a Fire starter, walked in front of May, and started nuzzling her leg, making May look at it.
"Do you want to go with me," May asked the fire Pokémon, and it nodded. "Ok, then it's decided, I'm choosing Torchic."
Professor Birch nodded, and after May picked her first Pokémon, Birch gave her Torchic's Poke Ball, as well as five other, empty Poke Balls, for her new Pokémon that she catches on her journey. He also gave her Pokedex that has all information on the Pokémon from Kanto, Johto and Hoenn Regions.
After May, the three boys went and picked their own starter Pokémon. Brendan chose one of the two Mudkip, while Wally and Sawyer took Treecko.
Just like May, they also received empty Poke Balls, and Pokedex's for their journey.
After that, everyone gathered in front of Birch's Lab, and Sawyer asked Ash if he can give him some advice for the journey.
"Well, all I can tell you is to train your Pokémon and to take good care of them," Ash said. "Don't overdue with the training, though. Pokémon need rest as much as they need training, so from time-to-time, let them have a break. Don't bother to make them evolve too soon either. Make sure to teach them everything they can learn, and become as strong as possible in their lower forms, before you evolve them. If you do that, you are sure to become strong trainer."
Sawyer was listening to what Ash was saying, and was writing everything in his notebook, while Brendan and Wally were simply memorizing it. Even May was listening carefully, as it is not every day you can get an advice from one of the best trainers in the world.
"Do you think we will be able to become Elite Four level trainers after only three years of our journey like you did?" Brendan asked.
"I don't know," Ash replied. "It all depends on how you and your Pokémon develop on your journey. Though, I didn't exactly become this good after only three years of traveling. I first started training with my first two Pokémon when I was five years old, so I had five years of training when I first started my journey. A big reason why my Kanto Pokémon became so strong so quickly is because my first three Pokémon, which I had for years before I started my journey, were very strong, and they helped me train my new Pokémon. So, what I want to say is, that it actually took eight years of training for me to reach this level."
The three boys nodded at Ash's response, and realized that it will take them a lot of blood sweat and tears until they reach Elite Four level. They didn't even want to think what will take to reach champion level.
After that was settled, and Sawyer, Brendan and Wally had no other questions, the three new trainers said goodbye to everyone and left the lab, leaving, Ash, Serena, May and Professor Birch behind.
"Ash, Serena, I have a favor to ask of you," Professor Birch suddenly said, and the two trainers, as well as May looked at him. "Come with me for a minute."
Birch then led them back in his lab, in the same room where he gave the starter Pokémon to May and the three boys, and took the remaining two Poke Balls, that had the Pokémon that were left. "I would like the two of you to take this Torchic and Mudkip with you, and train them as your Pokémon."
Ash and Serena were surprised by this, and Ash asked. "Ok, but why us, can't you give them to some new trainer?"
"Unfortunately, there are none left," Birch said. "May and the three boys are the only ones who started right now, and the next ones are not going to be for a while."
"I'm suddenly getting a feeling of Déjà vu," Ash said.
"Why?" Birch asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Something like this happened when I started my journey for the first time," Ash said. "And then it happened again in New Bark Town, and now again here."
"So, you got starter Pokémon from Professors from Kanto and Johto." Birch said.
"No, I got Charmander that was left unpicked on the day I started my journey, but I didn't get any starter from Professor Elm, that was my sister who got Cyndaquil who remained unpicked." Ash said.
"Ah, I see," Birch said. "Well anyway, will you take them?"
"Sure, why not," Ash said, and looked at Serena. "Go ahead and pick whichever you want, and I'll just take the remaining one."
Serena thought for a moment, and then said. "I'll take Mudkip."
"OK, that means I will take Torchic." Ash said.
Professor Birch nodded, and gave both Ash and Serena, Poke Balls with their new Pokémon. "Do you need me to update your Pokedex's with the Hoenn Region Pokémon?" Birch asked.
"No, my Pokedex is special as it has almost every single Pokémon from all the Region's uploaded in it," Ash said.
"And Professor Oak already updated mine six months ago, so I'm good." Serena said.
"Ok, well now that that is settled, all I have left is to wish you good luck on your journeys," Birch said, and Ash, May and Serena thanked him.
"Oh, and May, would it be a problem to you to accompany Ash and Serena to Petalburg City, as they are new in the Region, and might need some help getting there?"
May was surprised by this request from Professor Birch, and she thought for a minute. In the end decided to accept it, as it will give her a chance to travel with Ash for a little while. "Ok, I have no problem with that." May said.
With that over, Ash, Serena and May decided to head to Petalburg City right away, and will spend the night camping out in the forest, as it would be a good opportunity for May to get used to it, while Ash and Serena are with her.
Since Ash and Serena are walking on foot, May left her bike in the Lab, and Professor Birch said he will send it to her home as soon as he gets the chance, which May agreed on.
The three said goodbye to Professor Birch, and officially started their journey through the Hoenn Region.
