Where am I? Kenma woke up to the beeping noise of the heart monitor. He tried sitting up but his body felt sore, and his head was pounding horribly. Who am I? What happened? He began to feel uneasy, the heart monitor at his side began to beep at a faster pace. What is going on?
Kenma then forced his body upwards and quickly tried removing all the tubes and bandages on his body. As he was about to get off the bed a nurse rushed in.
"Sir, you need to calm down." She grabbed him by the wrists and forced him down. "I need you to answer some questions before we can discharge you."
Kenma stopped restraining and let the nurse talk. Maybe she can help me remember. He tried to calm himself down but it was no use, he was still terrified.
"Do you know where you are?" The nurse began to put all the tubes back in.
"Yes, a hospital."
"Do you know in what city?" Then began to wrap his arms.
"No, I'm not sure."
"What's your name?" She rewrapped his head bandage.
Kenma tried hard to remember but It didn't come to him. "I'm not sure, I was hoping you could tell me."
"Very well, do you know the incident that caused you to end up here?" Then finished off by changing the IV drip.
Kenma again tried to force himself to remember but all his memories were foggy and as quickly as they came they disappeared. "No I don't, I can't remember anything." He felt a lump form in his throat and began to cry. Why can't I remember? What's wrong with me?
"Very well sir, everything will be fine. I'll have Dr. Ayato come in to answer any questions you may have, so please stay here."
Kenma did as told and stayed seated in the hospital bed. A few moments later a tall man with messy black hair and honey brown eyes rushed into the room. It couldn't have been the doctor, he had many injuries and multiple bandages. This startled Kenma. What if this man wanted to hurt him? Before he had a chance to ask him to leave, the guy began to talk rapidly.
"Kenma I'm so sorry I love you so so much I should've said it sooner I'm-" He tried walking closer to him.
But Kenma interrupted, "Do I know you?"
The other guy's breath hitched, his face turned pale and his expression dropped. The look in this man's eyes was soul-crushing. His eyes were now focused on the floor, he whispered. "W-what?" The tone in his voice sent chills down Kenma's spine. He wasn't sure why, but it hurt him to hear that. He felt sorry for the man but there wasn't much he could do for him.
Kenma was already confused before this guy came in, and he didn't want to have any more things thrown his way. "I'm sorry. Could you please leave now?"
With that the tall man walked out of the room, he seemed to be crying. Kenma found the guy to be familiar. Weirdly it made him feel warm and comforting but he just couldn't place memory to the face and that brought on more fear than comfort to him.
Kenma began to panic. Could I have known that man? What if he was important? How could I just forget someone like that? What if I'm like this because of him? What if he tried to hurt me? He felt a stabbing pain in his chest, and he began to feel nauseous as well. He let out a loud sob and he grabbed his chest. He began rocking back and forth, his breathing was shallow. He felt his eyes roll back as his vision began to fade white. He fell back onto the bed and he heard a faint voice in the background. But it was soon replaced by a high-pitched buzzing sound. He tried forcing himself to stay awake but he couldn't, the last thing he remembered was his body feeling heavy.
With the injuries he sustained from the fall, the stress he caused on himself overstimulated his body and he began to seize. Many nurses rushed into the room to assist him. The seizure went on for 25 minutes. Kenma's body went into shock from the severe lack of air he had between his panic attack and the seizure.
With all the trauma his body was facing they decided to put him under 24-hour surveillance until he woke up.
