June 2013

For the next three weeks, Tetsurō would consistently visit Kenma. On his good days, he would sit at Kenma's bedside and talk for hours about his day and how he was healing. He would also keep him up to date with the lives of their friends. And on the bad, he would sit in silence and pamper Kenma. Whether it be by brushing his hair or painting his nails. Tetsurō would find his happiness in making Kenma look as amazing as possible.

On Saturday, June 8th three weeks after the incident, Tetsurō was informed that he would be able to go home the following week. He was both happy and upset with the news. Because it meant that he wouldn't be able to be close to Kenma.

Nonetheless, he wouldn't let that stop him. He walked over to Kenma's room to tell him the news. "Kenma, I'm being released soon! Isn't that amazing? Don't worry though I'll still come to visit every day."

He grasped Kenma's hand and caressed it ever so gently. "I'll always find a way to be by your side. Honestly, if you think about it it's better this way. Because I won't be a patient in the hospital I can visit whenever I want without having to leave and rest. I can spend even more time with you, which means I have a higher chance of being here when you wake up!"

Tetsurō talked to Kenma, though it was more so himself he was talking to as Kenma couldn't respond. No one even knew if he could hear what Tetsurō was saying.

That surely didn't stop Tetsurō from talking. "Yeah, this will work! This is perfect. You need to wake up soon Kenma! Because I officially make this a game of who can recover quicker. Maybe that'll give you motivation. You would never lose to me, right."

No response.

"Well anyway, I'm going over to my room to pack up my things and get that out of my way now! Don't go too far." Tetsurō joked, but it fell flat. He forced a small smile and turned away.
