Ok, so now that I'm back on this story, let's get a few chapters in before I return to my other story. Alright, enjoy!

That Night…

Wearing casual clothing, standing with a Ford Mustang, Gerald went on his radio.

"No sign of them yet. They said they'd meet here at 7, it's almost 8." Gerald said.

"He confirmed to meet here, be patient…" Shadow answered.

Soon, a Ford pickup with a bed topper came driving in slowly. Parking across from the Mustang, the engine stopped, and the driver got out.

"You got the cash from the Militia?" The dealer asked. "I wanna make sure you're legit."

Nadine scoffed and got off the hood of the car. "We're legit alright, bud." She opened the trunk to grab the duffle bag full of cash.

Zipping open the bag, Nadine showed the dealer the money. "Hundred grand here."

The dealer reached for his pocket. "Hey!" Gerald exclaimed.

"Woah. Cell phone." The dealer showed them his phone. He dialed a number.

Ringing several times, he got no answer. "He's not answering."

"Well?" Nadine asked.

"Can't take it." The dealer walked back to his truck. "Walking away from a hundred grand?" Gerald asked.

"Nah. I'ma drive." He opened the driver's side door to get back into his truck.

Gerald turned around as the engine cranked. "Arnold… It's your call now…"

For a moment, Shadow thought before returning to the radio. "Take his ass now." Answering without hesitation. He revved the Stealth Cycle and signaled the Hybrid on.

The Hybrid's engine roared ahead as he followed behind, both vehicles speeding off.

Trickshot and Nadine immediately got into the Mustang to block off the dealer's exit.

SCREECH

As the Mustang raced behind the truck, another Mustang appeared and halted his exit, the Ford pickup went into reverse, but another pair of headlights came.

The monstrous Hybrid raced in and blocked off the second path. Shadow came to a stop behind and left the motorcycle.

"OUT OF THE CAR NOW!" Trickshot aimed his handguns at the dealer.

Right as the arms dealer was getting out of his car, Shadow pressed his wrist, with a beeping sound coming from it momentarily.

A loud screech from the dark was heard. The drug dealer ran to the fencing, which was facing the darkness, and while climbing it, he was met with a sudden flash of a bald Eagle with its beak open.

"AHH!" None other than Swoops. His sharp talons clenched onto the dealer's shoulder and yanked him down.

THUD

"AH- OW! BROKE MY DAMN ARM!" The thug exclaimed as Swoops flew onto Arnold's shoulder.

"We're just getting started, bud!" Nadine told him as she cuffed him. "Stand down, stand down, stand down! I got this one." Gerald came over as the headlights of the Hybrid turned off, signaling it was on autopilot.

Gerald stood the thug up, yanking him up aggressively. Shadow came up to him, face-to-face.

"Now you listen here… You have five seconds to tell me where your Boss is, or I'm gonna let my Eagle friend here do worse to you. And you'd hate to see how mad a Bald Eagle can get…" Shadow firmly said. Swoops kept his angry gaze locked on the dealer.

"I ain't tellin' you shit!" Gerald yanked his arm into an awkward position. "AHHH!"

"When he asks you something, YOU ANSWER!" Gerald started twisting it more and more. "AH! OK, OK! ALRIGHT! AH! HE KEEPS HIS CRIB…. ABOVE A WAREHOUSE IN RACINE…. OUCH!" The dealer shouted.

Shadow slowly nodded. "Leave him here, get some officers to send him to lockup."

At The Warehouse…

CRASH

Kicking the door in, Trickshot moved inside first as the others stepped in behind him.

"Body!" Gerald shouted as everyone kept looking around for any threat. "Talk to me!"

"Clear!" Serpent answered after searching inside a room.

"Sarge, we have a body. Bullet to the head. It's our arms dealer." Gerald radioed in.

Soon…

Walking around the warehouse, Swoops now on Ariel's shoulder, she explained to Shadow what previously happened.

"… Patrol officers responded to a shots fired call earlier today, but they came up empty." Ariel finished. "Alright, check for witnesses and check for surveillance. And let's get these crates back to the Military, notify ATF."

Ariel nodded lightly. "Got it."

Later…

Back at the lair, while one of the dealers was arrested, the boss was deceased, which put the trail cold now.

Seeing as how nothing major was currently going on, Shadow took his free time to be with his children, including Miranda.

"You guys doing ok?" Arnold asked Allen and Pamela. Both of them smiled as they hugged their father. "We're ok, Dad. Just real anxious to see Mom again…" Pammy answered.

"When can we see her, Dad?" Allen asked. Arnold ruffled Allen's hair. "Soon, buddy. She's just as anxious to come see you three again." He smiled.

Miranda and Amelia stood together, awaiting Arnold to finish with Amy's younger siblings.

Kidd turned to Amelia. "So this is what it's like to have siblings?" She asked. Kathleen shrugged. "Yup… But even if we have our differences, I still love 'em, even if they think it's weird, but they'll thank me for being the big sis that I am." Amy softly smiled at her younger siblings.

She then turned to Kidd. "I assume you're an only child?" Kathleen asked. Miranda nodded lightly. "Yeah… I can't lie, it had its cons more than pros… But, uh… I don't wanna talk about it much."

Amy nodded understandingly. "Ok, ok… I won't push that topic further. But…" Miranda raised an eyebrow. "But what?"

Amelia wrapped Kidd into a hug. "Welcome to our family…" Miranda's eyes slowly widened, but she returned the hug after feeling some love after quite some time.

Shortly after, another pair of arms wrapped around their shoulders. "Glad to see you two are getting along." Arnold smiled as he hugged them.

Amelia let go of Miranda to hug her father. "I love you, Dad." Kathleen smiled. Arnold smiled back. "I love you too, honey."

Amelia let go of Arnold and stepped aside. Soon after, Miranda embraced Arnold.

"I know I'm new here but I'll do anything to earn your trust…!" Miranda said as her eyes were closed. Arnold held her head close. "It's alright, Kidd… I know you'll earn it…" Arnold rubbed her back comfortingly.

Miranda softly smiled. Pamela soon came over and tugged on Arnold's hoodie several times. "Daddy! Come on! Tell Al to stop hogging the PS5!"

Arnold chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Alright, alright…" He then looked at Miranda. "Care to join?"

Kidd thought for a moment, looking around, and soon looked back at Arnold. "I think I'd love that." She gave a whole-hearted smile.

While Miranda had so many questions about Spinelli's MotoGP side of her life, she decided to hold off on those questions and enjoy some time with them.

The Next Morning…

Early in the morning, down in the lair, Arnold found Spinelli, on her feet, currently in a sling.

"If it isn't the most beautiful woman in the world…" Arnold smiled warmly. "Thought I'd bring your badge insignia." He showed her suit insignia.

"Before it all went to hell?" Spinelli softly chuckled.

Arnold walked up to her, briefly resting against her forehead and cupping her cheeks momentarily. "Ashley, uhm…"

"What is it, Arnold?" Spinelli looked at him. Arnold's hands slid down from her shoulders to her hand to hold it. "…. I wanna tell you that I love and appreciate you every day. There's never a moment where I don't think how lucky I am to be married to you. I always remember back to our vows… I'll always love, cherish, appreciate you, and so much more. You're my whole heart. Every time something like this happens… It honestly scares me. Not only would you leave me behind…. but our children too… I love you, Ashley Spinelli."

"I love you too, Arnold…" Spinelli softly whimpered. Arnold looked at her. "I have someone who wants to see you, and I'm more than sure she'll be happy to see you on your feet." He kissed Spinelli's forehead. "Kidd?"

Spinelli looked over and saw the familiar face from the warehouse. It was none other than Miranda Kidd, the person who helped her survive.

Kidd shyly came in, knowing she was in the presence of someone legendary. Spinelli gave a warm and welcoming smile, opening her arm for a hug.

"Hey, kid. C'mere." Spinelli softly greeted.

At first, Miranda hesitated, but she immediately went over and hugged her, giving the tightest hug she could give.

"Not too tight!" Spinelli chuckled. Miranda softly chuckled back. Spinelli rubbed her back gently. "I owe you one… Thanks."

"It's you two I have to thank… Without you guys, I wouldn't be here. It's a long story…" Kidd answered.

"Quite a bit you missed out on too." Arnold chuckled and then shrugged. "Now come on. Our kids are eager to see you."

"Are they awake already?" Spinelli asked as she let go of Miranda. "Of course they are, they're all anxious to see you." Arnold smiled.

"Well, then let's go! C'mon!" Spinelli grabbed his left hand with a smile. Arnold smiled back. "Oh! Hey, uh, Kidd? Remember, your training begins later today, ok?"

Miranda nodded. "Alright, Sarge." She smiled.

Soon, walking back upstairs to the luxurious mansion, Spinelli found her three kids awaiting with eager smiles.

"MOM!" Allen, Pamela, and Kathleen shouted and went over toward their mother.

Spinelli hugged them back with one arm as best as she could. She smiled as she felt her kids hugging her. "Oh, my babies…"

"Mom!…" All three of them said and blushed. Spinelli chuckled. "You three will always be my babies no matter what."

"Does that mean-"

"No, Al, you're not getting a small loan of a million dollars…" Amelia lowered her eyelids. "Shut up, Amy!" Allen pouted.

"You shut up! You don't talk to my big sis like that!" Pamela exclaimed.

As the three let go of Spinelli to have their usual argument, Spinelli stood beside Arnold. He put a hand over her shoulder as they watched the three walk away, arguing and messing with each other.

"You think they do it on purpose?" Spinelli looked at Arnold. He shrugged. "Who knows… Who knows what goes through the heads of siblings? But it doesn't matter, sure we scold them on occasions, but we love them no matter what. Just like how I love you." Arnold smiled while looking at her.

Slowly, their faces neared each other until their lips finally met, initiating a fiery and passionate kiss between them.

They separated seconds after and smiled at one another. Spinelli rested her head on his shoulder after.

"Feels good to be back…" Spinelli sighed with contentment. "Now all I want…" She giggled.

Arnold raised an eyebrow. "What?…"

"When can I get back to racing on that Stealth Cycle?" Spinelli asked with a smile, along with a sparkle in her eyes. Arnold rolled his eyes and smirked. "No way you can work your charm on me like other times."

"C'mon, baby… Please?" Spinelli's eyes continued to sparkle.

"Nope."

"Now?"

"No."

"Tomorrow?"

"No."

"Mm-"

"Spinelli…" Arnold smirked at her. "C'mon already, Arnold!" Spinelli pouted. "Ok, ok… Just how soon can I get back to it? Huh?" Spinelli asked.

Arnold shrugged. "I think we'll have to discuss that with Phoebe and Warren, I'm not exactly a med expert…"

"Ugh…" Spinelli scoffed. "I just want one ride! Just one, man! I mean, Arnold, you know how I love to live a little WHILE keeping my children in mind! You know I wouldn't do anything stupid that gets me killed!"

Arnold rubbed her shoulder. "As soon as that gunshot wound heals, I think I'll let you take one lap around that place, ok?" He suggested.

Spinelli leaned in to kiss his cheek eagerly. "Love you, Arnold." She smiled. "I love you more, Ashley." He smiled.

As they held hands, resting against each other's heads, Arnold and Spinelli were together again, moving past the warehouse events. Despite the amount Spinelli suffered, she knew she had her kids and beloved husband by her side.

Meanwhile, on the second floor, while Swoops was looking down at the two, Stella was there with him. Leaning against the guardrailing, Stella was at first smirking before remembering Miranda, and the fact she saw Spinelli's forgotten MotoGP career.

Gently stroking Swoops's feathers for a moment, Stella sighed.

"If you want, let's go check out your gear." Arnold suggested. "Perfect! Let's go already!" Spinelli excitedly answered, bringing a smile to Arnold's face.

Stella looked at Swoops. "Remember those days? I remember once you managed to keep up with her." She chuckled. "I remember how much she loved the best of both worlds. Motorcycle racing, and fighting crime."

Swoops screeched once.

"Yeah, yeah…" Stella chuckled. "Including those numerous times she's had to leave mid-race because of the never-ending crimes. And yes, she never returned either."

As Stella rested her chin on her hand, she then had a thought. She snapped her fingers. "Come on, boy. I think I owe Miranda an apology, and a little explanation, and you're gonna join me." Stella offered her shoulder to Swoops.

Swoops carefully walked onto Stella's shoulder, without harming her with his sharp talons. Stella smiled at him before walking away.

As for the lovebirds, Arnold and Spinelli separated after another slow and sensual kiss.

Arnold nuzzled against Spinelli's cheek and kissed it. "I missed this." He smiled. "Missed the fiery kisses I usually give you?" Spinelli smirked.

Arnold shrugged with a smile. "That, along with your soft lips…" He winked. "I genuinely wonder how your lips are so soft." He kissed her cheek after.

Spinelli lightly purred. "Oh, I think you should know somewhat…" She purred again. "You know I have a skincare routine… and maybe a little more…" Spinelli giggled and nudged his shoulder lightly.

"Wait… so you…?"

"Of course! They don't take care of themselves, you know." Spinelli shrugged with a smirk. "No wonder Amelia is always begging for skincare products, she takes after you." Arnold chuckled.

"Shut up! I'm not that obsessed with those products!" Spinelli briefly frowned. Arnold rubbed her shoulder while chuckling. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding! I know you also take care of yourself." He smiled after.

Spinelli smiled for a moment. "Alright, now c'mon! I wanna see my gear now!" She lightly tugged on his hand.

"Lead the way, sweetheart." Arnold smiled.

As they decided to head down to the lair, they squeezed each other's hands, looking at each other with loving and warm smiles. Arnold and Spinelli knew her recovery would take a bit, but Spinelli knew she'd strike back, and harder than before.

A little short but sweet nonetheless. So, with this chapter wrapped up, I plan to release the next chapter hopefully... soon, IDK... That should be an entertaining one... I hope to see you in the next one!
