When the children first encountered the Dark Masters, it did not go well for them. However, they were able to escape their wrath. Soon after, they were able to catch two servants of Mercurymon. They learned about this big event called Carnage that Mercurymon is holding. An event where he will force his prisoners to fight each other to the bitter end. Unwilling to let that happen, the children decide to take action. As they do, the Dark Masters plan to take their own action as well.

Carnage the Battle
As Musuko and the others were off trying to save their parents, the rest of their family and friends stayed behind. With no way to go after them now, all they can do is wait for them to come back. They all had to go on with their normal days. That's what Mina was doing as she worked in the kitchen.
"I'm back, Mom. I got what you asked for." Lila said as she came back and placed the groceries in.
"Good. Glad to know one of my children actually does what she says." Mina said as she chopped away on the food. Patamon and Lila could see what Mina was saying, and they were worried themselves.
"Mina, Benson is doing what his father would have done." Patamon said.
"Benson is a good kid, and that's probably why he went." Lila said. "I'm sure he's okay and will be back with Dad."
"Even though it's the parent that's suppose to reduce the child. Not the other way." Mina said as she kept chopping, but tears were starting to come out. Lila walked over her mother and held her. Even Patamon joined in the hug with all of them hoping they all come home soon.

Mercurymon's Coliseum
Meanwhile, Mercurymon had everything set for this big event he had called Carnage. Many digimon were gathering to see this event, but it is where the digimon that Mercurymon has held captive plan to fight each other to the very finish. All of this just for Mercurymon's sick and twisted amusement. Vajramon was one of them. All he did was wait in his prison sell until the big event because there's no way he would be able to escape on his own. He didn't have to wait long. He heard the locks open up and he saw Mercurymon himself standing there.
"What's going on now, Mercurymon?" Vajramon questioned.
"It's the big show. Don't want to disappoint all the fans who came here to see you and everyone else fight each other." Mercurymon mocked. "Maybe if you had submitted to my will rather than constanly oppose me, I would have spared you from this."
"I highly doubt that. You are a psychotic fiend that takes pleasure in the pain and misery of others." Vajramon claimed.
"But I'm the one that's in charge around here." Mercurymon claimed with the feeling that he can simply do whatever he desires. He had his guards take Vajramon and forced him and the other prisoners out and head into the arena. There was surprisingly a large amount of digimon who came here to see this big event. Mercurymon went to his own private stand and continued to act like he was some sort of emperor. "My fellow digimon, I welcome you to this amusing event. Today is Carnage, an event that I created. The digimon that are here will face each other and determine which one of them is the strongest of the strong." He's making it sound like it's some sort of sporting event when it's far from it. That was when Vajramon and the other prisoners came out. This wasn't shaping to be anything good for them, but there was hope. What no one knew was that Musuko and Benson were at the top of the coliseum and could see everything.
"Wow. This place would be great for soccer." Musuko said.
"Musuko, stay focus." Benson said.
"I am. I'm just saying..." Musuko claimed.
"There's Vajramon!" Veemon pointed out as they could see him. "It's the one with the bull head."
"Be nice." Patamon claimed.
"Okay, get ready." Benson said as they were going to put their plan into action.
"These digimon will face each other, and it will be a fight to the finish. Only one will be left standing when this is over." Mercurymon said.
"And what's in it for us, Mercurymon!" Vajramon called. "Even if we do fight each other like you say, what would the last one left standing be rewarded?"
"You will be acknowledge as the strongest of them all. Isn't that rewarding enough?" Mercurymon questioned.
"No! What we desire the most is our freedom restores to us!" Vajramon called. "We are not your toys! You cannot keep us here just so you can be entertained!"
"But you are here, and that is that! Now silence yourself!" Mercurymon called. "Even if I bestow upon freedom, you will just simply come back, so there's no need for something so trivial." Vajramon was getting really annoyed. He was even breathing like a raging bull from Mercurymon has done. "Now, if there are no more interruptions, let Carnage begin!" he announced with the digimon cheering. It seems like there might be no choice and all these digimon really will be forced to fight each other. There's no way for them to escape with guards posted everywhere. It would seem they will have to fight, but just as the event was announced it could start, a bright light shined from the top of the colesium. "What's this?!"
"Veemon warp digivolve to...UlforceVeedramon!"
"Patamon warp digivolve to...Seraphimon!"
UlforceVeedramon and Seraphimon revealed themselves as they flew down with Musuko and Benson. Once they flew down, they attacked all the Knightmon that were guarding the arena to prevent the prisoners from escaping.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Mercurymon shouted.
"Your sick game ends now!" UlforceVeedramon claimed as he and Seraphimon landed right in the center.
"We are here to liberate all the digimon that you have kept prisoner here! Your ruling will end here!" Seraphimon said.
"What they said!" Musuko agreed.
"Mercurymon, we're here to put a stop to your ways. You're not going to force innocent digimon to fight for your entertainment anymore!" Benson said.
"What's this? Human children? Human children are saying they are going to defeat the likes pf me? I find that laughable if I didn't find this disobedience outrageous." Mercurymon claimed. "How dare you try to dethrone me!"
"Pretty tough talk for a mirror wearing lipstick!" Musuko called.
"But that's what's going to happen. Now!" Benson called. That was when the entrances to the arena burst with Garudamon, Angewomon, and Lilymon fly through and stirred up some ruckus. Their sudden appearance caused some digimon to clear out of the area. They all fought back against Mercurymon's servants and was beating them easily. Angewomon was even able to break some of the restraints that held the prisoners.
"Go! You're all free now!" Koji called. Most of the prisoners took the chance to get back the freedom they've been waiting for.
"Vajramon!" Ranamon called and got his attention.
"Ranamon!" Vajramon called as she reached him. "What are you doing here? What is this?"
"Us defeating Mercurymon." Ranamon said as she took out the stone and handed it over to him. "It's time we brought an end to this tyrant." Vajramon was ready for that. He reached for the stone and was about to take it, but that was when another surprised happened. Something dropped down from the sky and crashed right into the ground.
"What was that?!" Natalie questioned.
"Something crashed into the ground! The aliens are here!" Mason claimed.
"It's not aliens, but it does look rather bad." Garudamon claimed. The dust cleared away and revealed that it was Machinedramon himself.
"I found you, you little brats. Time to hand over the stone." Machinedramon claimed.
"What the heck are you?!" Musuko questioned
"Watch your tone. Didn't your mommies and daddies teach you any manners?" Machinedramon wasn't alone. They all saw Piedmon came out from behind Machinedramon and was met with Piedmon. "Besides, they surely would have told you about us."
"Are you two the other Dark Masters?" Seraphimon asked.
"If they are... That means the clown is... You're... You're Piedmon!" Benson said with fear as he was clearly familiar with who this digimon was. "You're considered the most powerful of the four Dark Masters!"
"I'm so flattered you know of me." Piedmon said.
"That means you're the one behind taking our parents! Give them back right now!" Musuko demanded.
"I'm afraid you're a little short to be barking orders at me." Piedmon said. "Although, aren't you adorable for trying to act so tough."
"Let's see if you think this adorable! Get that clown, UlforceVeedramon!" Musuko said.
"With pleasure!" UlforceVeedramon said as he flew right at Piedmon. He brought out one of his swords and tried to attack him, but Machinedramon got in the way as he swung his claw and knocked UlforceVeedramon out of the way.
"We're not here to play around. Give us the stone." Machinedramon demanded with the kids seeing they're going to have a tough fight on their hands.
"You're not getting anything! Attack!" UlforceVeedramon said as all five of the digimon attacked at together. As the five of them tried to fight off the two Dark Masters, Vajramon noticed that Mercurymon was trying to make a run for it.
"No you don't." Vajramon said as he chased after him. He jumped up to the stands and hurried after Mercurymon with him cutting off Mercurymon's escape route. "Where do you think you're going? You want carnage, that's what you're going to get."
"Stand aside!" Mercurymon ordered like he could still boss him around, but Vajramon has had it with it.
"Deva Blade!" Vajramon attacked by firing from its swords.
"Dark Reflection!" Mercurymon held up a mirror and the attack was reflected back at him. Vajramon jumped out of the way and was able to avoid his own attack.
"That's your real power. You can always reflect your enemy's power, but Ranamon gave me something you won't be able to handle." Vajramon said. Mercurymon didn't get it until he saw Vajramon holding the stone. He used it and empowered one of his swords. His sword began to radiate with power and that it made Mercurymon quite nervous. Vajramon swingy his sword right at him. Mercurymon attempted to reflect it back, but the power was too much with him being knocked back and caused cracks to form over his body. He nearly destroyed Mercurymon with just one hit. The power of that stone is unreal, and that's why Piedmon wants it.
"Giga Cannon!" Machinedramon fired away with its cannons and tried to blast his enemies.
"Celestial Arrow!"
"Wing Blade!"
"Flower Cannon!" The three ultimate digimon fired away with their attacks, but they all just bounced off him. Seraphimon flew in and tried to attack him directly, but Machinedramon just knocked him away with his claw.
"What is this guy made of? We're not even putting a dent in him!" Mason said.
"I'm built for destruction, and that is what's going to happen." Machinedramon claimed
"Dragon Fire!" Machinedramon had his claw spin like a drill and he charged right at the digimon, but UlforceVeedramon got in the way.
"Ray of Victory!" UlforceVeedramon fired his ray and blasted Machinedramon with it to try and stop him. Seraphimon helped out as he flew up in the air and used his powers to cause lightning to strike down against Machinedramon. The force of those two caused parts of Machinedramon to malfunction like the machine he is and caused him to stop.
"Nice. You got the big metal dinosaur. Now where's the clown?" Musuko said as they saw this the chance to beat them and get their parents back. Suddenly, they heard screaming and saw Vajramon flown from the stands and crashed back to the arena.
"Vajramon!" Ranamon called.
"We're done, Machinedramon. We have what we came for." Piedmon said as he stole the stone.
"Give that back! It's not yours!" Benson called.
"It is now." Piedmon claimed.
"Help me... Please help me..." Mercurymon pleaded as he crawled over to Piedmon. "I don't want to be deleted just yet."
"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you are a minor and meaningless character." Piedmon claimed. Then, he just stomped down on him and Mercurymon was completely destroyed. He shattered him like the mirror he was. They were all shocked and astonished at what they just saw. "Time to go, Machinedramon."
"Wait! We want our parents back!" Musuko called.
"You're filled with demands. Sadly, we still need them." Piedmon claimed. That was when he and Machinedramon were coated in a strange light and vanished.
"Wait!" Musuko called, but they were long gone. They were practically powerless against them and couldn't do a thing against them.
...
Later
"I want to thank you for helping us. I'm sorry we lost the stone, but Mercurymon is finally gone." Ranamon said as she held up an injured Vajramon. After the battle, everything began to settle down and many were glad to have their freedom back.
"Yes. Thank you for your help." Vajramon said. "You are all quite brave for such young and small things. You must join us in a feast to celebrate."
"I'm afraid we can't." Natalie said.
"We have our own mission, and we have to keep moving." Gatomon said.
"I'm sorry you lost the stone. It looked like it had a lot of power, but now those mean digimon have it." Koji said.
"I understand. In which case, I wish you luck on your own mission." Vajramon said.
"we don't need luck. We're not going to stop until we get our parents back and we bring these Dark Masters down." Musuko claimed as that's exactly what they're going to do. They may have succeeded in their mission against Mercurymon, but their mission to save their parents is still going on.
...
In the next adventure, the children find themselves out at sea and joining pirates on a treasure hunt, but the Dark Masters apparently wish to be a part of it as well.
