Chapter 6

During a sunny day in Tristania, the capital city of Tristain, it inhabitants were walking through the routes to buy food or other things from the merchants. Some older people glanced instead at the cute pink haired girl that was walking while being glued to a black haired boy.

Following the secret meeting between Henrietta and Louise and Saito in fact, she told them that she needed their help to gather information about who could be behind the possible conspiracy she had mentioned. So she asked them to go on a spy mission inside Tristania, and despite they were still flabbergasted, they had agreed to do it.

So they took the chance to go to the capital city on a free day by using a carriage, and of course, the idea of another "date" with Saito made Louise very happy. To hide her identity, she even changed her uniform with a black dress and a basque on her head that she bought in a clothes shop, giggling happily when the boy told her that he was amazed by how cute she looked.

"Hehe, I love it when you call me cute.", she said, hugging his arm affectionately while walking.

"I simply said the truth. Still, this city is way bigger than the one we went to last time; it's worth of being a capital.", he told her, blushing and looking around.

"This is the city where the princess and her family live, and the previous kings and queens made the city bigger over the years. I'm still shocked to think that Henrietta's father could have been assassinated.", she explained, frowning.

"I'm very shocked too and I feel sorry for her and her mother. We will make sure to find out if there's really a conspiracy.", he told her, caressing her head.

The gesture made her blush and smile, tightening her hold on his arm while some hearts appeared around them. Inside his scabbard, Derflinger chuckled silently at listening their conversation and found them adorable.

The two teenagers continued to walk for the routes, looking at some products sold by the merchants and trying to listen to other people's talking without being found out. Doing that made the young man remember those stealth missions he played in some videogames in his world, but this time it wasn't a game. It was all real.

By eavesdropping, they heard that some people were worried about how difficult could be for the princess to guide the kingdom after becoming the new queen or that something bad could happen to her too. Both teenagers were glad that she was loved by various people, but they kept eavesdropping anyways. The chance of hearing someone say something bad and outrageous against Henrietta's family could be high, after all.

Though, since it was almost lunch time and Saito was hungry, they decided visit the stand of an old lady that was selling something similar to crepes. "Oh, good morning, you two! Are you on a date?", she asked them, smiling.

"W-we're visiting the city because it's the first time I come here.", replied a flustered Saito, not denying the date thing and making his "girlfriend" giggle again.

"How nice! What flavor would you like to have?"

"A salted crepe with vegetables for me.", they replied in unison, looking at each other before chuckling.

"Hehe, you're so synchronized too. Here and have a nice date!", she told them, giving them the crepes and getting paid by Louise before they kept walking.

"Going on a mission like this with you is the best.", said the pinkette to her familiar, biting her crepe.

"I'm having fun too, but we must keep our guards up anyways.", he said, eating his own crepe and looking around.

"You're right. We have only today and tomorrow to gather information before going back to the academy, so we must do our best."

Smiling at her, he gave her another headpat casually, causing her to blush and smile in bliss. Giving each other lap pillows and receiving headpats for him was absolutely great.

'M-maybe I could kiss him on the lips again. We were each other's first kiss and I can't help but l-love him every day.', she thought, blushing more and glancing at his lips. She found him handsome when she summoned him, but after getting to know him more and spending time together like now, she ended up liking him more and more.

At a certain point, while they were still eating, they heard a female voice in the distance. Looking in front of them, they saw a man harassing a girl with long black hair and a green dress, who asked him to let her go.

"Come on, let's go to have a drink together.", said the jerk, grinning.

"Let me go! I don't want to go with you anywhere!", she told him, annoyed and scared.

"Listen up, you will-"

The man stopped talking when someone grabbed his hand, making him let her wrist go. He and she got shocked when Saito got in front of her and glared angrily at him, shocking Louise too.

"She told you that she doesn't want to go with you anywhere, so get lost, asshole.", he said, making her eyes widen. He was ready to take Derf out of the scabbard, which was enough to scare the bastard away.

"Are you ok, y-"

He cut his sentence off when he looked at her: her face and her hair looked exactly like Siesta's, but with longer hair. "Saito, are you ok?!", asked a worried Louise, clinging onto him. She noticed that his face was amazed, so she looked at the girl too.

"W-wait, did you call him Saito?"

"Yes, that's my name."

His reply caused a smile to appear on her face. "Wow, so you're the boy that my cousin Siesta told me about! Thank you for saving me!", she said, taking his hands.

"Y-you're Siesta's cousin?!", was his and Louise's reaction at such revelation, making her nod and giggle. Their attention got caught by some applauds for him for his heroic act, which made him blush and scratch the back of his head while the pinkette smiled.

"My name's Jessica. You must be curious about how I am her cousin, so I will thank you by inviting you to the inn I work at.", she said, winking at the boy and making the pinkhead pout. Still, the idea of visiting an inn made them both smile, so they agreed and started following Jessica along the way.

The black haired girl told them that Siesta's mother was the sister of hers, which was why she was her cousin. She also said that the inn where she worked, the Charming Fairies, was owned by her father Scarron and was pretty popular in Tristania.

"Wow, I didn't think that she had a cousin. I thought you were her sister upon looking at your face.", said the young swordsman, with his master latching onto him.

"She told me about how you defeated a noble because he cheated on his girlfriend and that you've won the Familiar exhibition, and I must say that you're also pretty handsome too fufu."

The compliment made him blush and thank her, but Louise didn't like that she flirted with him. "You must be Miss De la Vallière, right? Siesta told me how you and Saito-kun are always lovey-dovey, and it's true by judging what I see."

"That's right. Saito is my beloved familiar, after all.", replied the pinkette, hugging him tighter.

"Hehe, you've got a nice "girlfriend", Saito-kun."

He scratched the back of his head and didn't say anything, smiling anyways because of Louise's care for him. In comparison to Siesta, Jessica seemed to like teasing people and she was kinda flirty with him.

After walking some more minutes, during which Jessica chatted a lot with Saito to the pinkette's annoyance, they arrived to a building with a big signboard with written "Charming Fairies". The foreign boy and his girlfriend could notice various men entering inside that inn too.

"Tada! This is where I work with my dad. Let's go.", she said, taking Saito's hand, surprising him and Louise pouted at seeing that while following them. Once they stepped inside, both she and her familiar saw various maids wearing cute uniforms serving different men near his age or older.

"Ah, welcome b-"

One of the maids got silent when she looked at Saito, along with the others too. "Oh my! He's the boy that Jessica talked about!", she exclaimed happily.

"Really?! I want to know him!"

"Me too!"

All the maids went towards him, causing him to gasp like Louise when one of them took his hand. "I'm Jeanne! Nice to meet you, Saito-sama.", she told him.

"Saito-sama?", he repeated, stunned.

"We heard from Jessica about you and what you did, so we're so happy to meet you!", said another one, taking his other hand.

"Hey, why are you holding his hands?! He's mine!", exclaimed Louise, glaring at them while latching onto him possessively.

They apologized for their actions and let go of his hands, with the customers watching the scene amused or with envy towards the young man. "Saito-kun is here?!, suddenly exclaimed a new voice.

From behind the inn's counter, a muscular man with black hair, moustache and wearing medieval clothes made its appearance. "You're the boy that my niece talked about happily? Welcome to my inn, I'm Scarron!", he said, going to greet the swordsman.

"You're Louise-chan instead? Welcome!", he told the pinkette, still smiling.

"Umm, so does everyone here know about us?", asked Saito, totally stunned by all what was happening.

"Yes, you can say that we have a lot of respect for you. Especially me after you saved me.", told him Jessica, latching on his arm and making him blush. Her chest was soft just like Siesta's, so he felt the same sensation of when she hugged him.

"You've saved my daughter? You're truly a hero like I heard! Thank you!", said instead Scarron, grinning while patting his head. The maids were surprised too, admiring the boy more.

On the other hand, Louise pouted angrily before Jessica's action, feeling envious of her chest. 'Why do they cling on my Saito like that?!', she thought.

"Well, I'm very glad that you're visiting my inn, and to thank you for saving my daughter, you can stay here for the night. We have a lot of free rooms."

Scarron's words made her and Saito' eyes widen, so they looked at each other. Understanding that they could have a place to sleep without paying, they smiled and accepted the offer, making the owner and the maids smile too.

So after getting their affirmative response, the muscular man apologized to the customers for the confusion and told Jessica and the maids to go back to take orders before guiding Louise and her boyfriend towards their room upstairs. Using a key, Scarron opened the door of a nice room with a little fireplace, a window, a little bathroom and a double bed.

"Here, this is your room. I designed each room myself and got some help to build them along this place, so I hope you like it. Thanks again for saving my only daughter, Saito-kun.", he told them, grinning.

"You're welcome. I couldn't let that man that was annoying her hurt her or worse, so I did what was right. I like this room!", said the boy, smiling back and looking around.

"I like it too. Thank you for letting us stay here, Scarron-san. But is it really ok for us to stay here for free?", asked a concerned Louise.

"Yes, don't worry. Still, if you two liked it, you could work during the stay. I think Louise-chan would look great with a maid uniform haha."

"Ehh?! M-me in a maid uniform?", she mumbled, flustered like Saito at the idea.

"I'm sure Saito-kun would like to see you like that."

Her eyes widened and she looked at her familiar, who blushed more and put a hand on his face to hide it. "W-well, she's already so cute that she would look g-great in my opinion.", he said shyly.

Obviously, such words caused her heart to skip a beat so she jumped and hugged him, making them fall on the floor with her snuggling in his chest. "Wow, you two are so lovely! I guess this means that you will help us, so you can start working in the evening. You can have some private time meanwhile haha."

Jessica's dad left the room still chuckling, with Saito more flustered because of his words. "I'm so happy that you find me this cute, but w-would you prefer that m-my chest was bigger?", suddenly asked his master, sounding sad.

"Huh? W-why are you asking me that?"

"Because a lot of girls have bigger chests than mine and you seem to like b-big boobs. So I fear that you're more attracted to them."

Her answer shocked him and saddened him, but he didn't want to let her be sad. So he hugged her close to his chest, caressing her head and surprising her.

"You don't have to feel inferior to them. I never lie whenever I say you're cute, and e-even if other girls have bigger boobs, I don't care. So yeah, you'd look great in a maid costume too.", he told her sweetly, despite blushing more.

"You make me adore you more like this!", she happily told him, still snuggling on his chest and loving his headpats. They eventually got up from the floor and sat down on the bed, where he gave her a lap pillow and still caressed her head.

Although he made various new friends in the new world he lived in now, Louise was the first person he met there and she always cared for him since she summoned him. Maybe it wasn't even a month that they knew each other, but looking at how dear he was for her, she was already someone of precious for him. He was her familiar and also the friend of other people that he cared about, hence why he was determined to get the full knowledge about his power to become way stronger.

Following some hours later, during which the two of them took a nap together and cuddled, they woke up and saw that it was evening outside. Which meant they could go to help Scarron and the maids with the inn.

So they left the room and went to tell they were ready, making him smile while he accompanied them to another room. "I think this white uniform is perfect for Louise-chan.", he said, taking said uniform out of wardrobe. The pinkette was still flustered for wearing a maid uniform, but Saito's words of earlier encouraged her to go to change while he simply put on a waiter's apron like Scarron's.

While waiting that she was done, the two men chatted, with the older one being surprised at knowing that Saito came from another country. Of course, he couldn't tell him that he came form another world; he didn't think he would believe him.

And once Louise got out of the changing room, both of them were amazed by how she looked. "You look fantastic, Louise-chan!", said Scarron, giving a thumps up.

"T-thank you. W-what do you think, Saito?", she asked him, looking into his eyes.

"Y-you're absolutely way too adorable.", he told her, flustered and admiring her. Such compliment made her heart beat like crazy, so she giggled and snuggled in his chest once again.

"Since you two are ready, you can start now. Just be nice with customers like the maids do and you'll do a great job."

Nodding, the "couple" went out of the room to reach the tables, with the maids giggling because Saito would work with them. They even praised Louise's uniform, who got the attention of the customers too.

"If you have something to ask me, feel free to do it, Saito-kun.", said Jessica, smiling and winking.

"Sure. Thank you, Jessica-san."

"You can call me Jessica, handsome.", she told him, making him blush like her. His supposed girlfriend pouted at their interaction, obviously.

Anyways, she and Saito began to take the orders of the customers, but the pinkette was flustered and made some mistakes, like making a glass of wine spill on a table or bringing the wrong order to someone. She blushed embarrassed because of that, but thankfully, Jeanne and other maids assured her that it was ok to make mistakes at the first try.

On the other hand, her familiar didn't have any problem with taking care od the orders, getting the attention of some maids that smiled. He also listened to the talks between the customers, hoping to get some info for their mission.

'By looking at all these men, some are from noble classes and others are not. This inn works like a maid cafè in Japan, so I get why it's so popular.', he thought, bringing some bread to another customer. He glanced sometimes at Louise to make sure that she didn't get hurt with a piece of glass, but thankfully she was fine.

Though, a group of men entered inside the inn, guided by a fat one with long and very thin moustaches. "Good evening, Scarron. Do you have a table for us?", he asked, smiling.

"Sure, we have one for all of you."

Saito noticed the different tone in the owner's voice, so he asked Jessica who was the guy. She told him that he was Chalenne, a levy collector that wasn't liked by anyone in Tristania because he was corrupted.

Such information left him stunned, but he quickly got serious and kept an eye on that man. "What would you like to order, dear customer?", asked Louise to Chalenne suddenly.

"Hmm? You're new? I've never seen you before. Bring me some red wine.", he told her.

Nodding, she went to take the bottle and a glass, but when she tried to pour the wine there, it ended up on his trousers. "What the heck are you doing?! You stained my clothes!"

"I-I'm sorry.", she quickly said out of shame. The tone he used with her made Saito grit his teeth.

"I will forgive you if you let me touch you."

Chalenne began to reach the pinkette's chest with a hand, but another one stopped him. Surprised, he saw Saito blocking his hand, glaring at him while Louise blushed.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?!"

"Says the one that tried to harass a girl.", replied the swordsman coldly, tightening his grip and making Chalenne wince.

"You insolent…Do you know who I am?!"

"A bastard that annoys innocent people."

Such harsh words made the fat man angrier, while his lackeys got up. "Beat him up!", he exclaimed, with one of them trying to punch Saito. The boy dodged and got quickly behind the counter, taking Derflinger that he put there earlier and telling Louise to take cover behind a table.

"I suggest you to leave at once. I'm quite dangerous when I have a weapon.", he threatened them, swinging Derf while his runes shined.

A little surprised, the 3 lackeys took out their weapons too and one of them charged at him, clashing his sword against Derf. He winced when Saito kicked his right leg, making him lose balance before punching him in the face with his right fist.

"I warned you.", he said, glaring at Chalenne. Scarron, his daughter and everyone else were amazed by how courageous he was and what he just did, with the girls admiring him and blushing.

"He's just a boy, idiots! Take him out!"

The other lackeys nodded and attacked him, but Louise's familiar jumped and hit one of them with the not deadly side of Derf heavily, making him fall and nurse the face. He started a sword clashing against the last lackey, not intimidated at all and shocking everyone again with his strength.

He increased said strength and made the lackey lose his weapon, hitting him mercilessly in the gut with Derf's hilt and taking the air out of him. Chalenne got scared after that; all his lackeys got defeated one by one by a commoner, whose blue eyes were now glaring at him.

"Ah!", he exclaimed when Saito pointed his sword on his abdomen.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on Louise ever again.", he threatened him, making the pinkette skip a heartbeat.

"Fool! Y-you think you can scare me?! I can make Scarron pay a huge tax after this!"

"Oh yeah? Even if you're corrupted?", asked the smirking swordsman, making him gasp.

"Everyone here witnessed you trying to harass an innocent girl and we know about you being a corrupted asshole. You should leave at once before it turns uglier for you."

Needless to say that the fat man got pale white, getting more scared of him. So he panicked and left the inn immediately while his lackeys were still on the floor in pain.

Sighing, Saito put Derflinger back in the scabbard, getting surprised when everyone began applauding for him. "Good job, kiddo!"

"You gave that jerk a great lesson!"

"You were amazing, Saito-sama!"

All those praises made him blush and smile, until Louise ran towards him and hugged him tightly. "Thank goodness you're not hurt.", she told him.

"My duty's to protect you, so no one can harass you or make you cry.", he told her. Smiling more, she lifted her face to give him a kiss on the cheek, making him redder while everyone else was surprised.

"I can't help but like you always more !", she exclaimed, snuggling on him.

Jessica and the rest of people chuckled at the scene, with some customers offering to bring the lackeys to get arrested by the authorities. "You're totally fantastic, Saito-kun! This is my thanks for saving us from those men!", suddenly said Jessica, kissing his right cheek and shocking everyone.

"Hey! Why did you kiss him?! I told you he's mine!", complained the pinkette, glaring at her.

"Fufu, that was just my way to thank him. Besides, I like him more now too.", replied the black haired girl, hugging his right arm.

"W-What?", was Saito's reaction while his master got more jealous.

"Oho, I had the feeling that my daughter liked you. Sorry Louise-chan, but I will root for her!", said instead a grinning Scarron.

Obviously, she shaked her head and pulled Saito towards herself, hugging his head against her chest and stating again that he was hers. More flustered because his face was pressing on her chest, he sweatdropped and chuckled in his mind, as he found the whole situation very funny.

'I didn't expect things to develop lile this, and despite we didn't get an info about some conspiracy, we found our about that tax collector. We will tell the princess about it tomorrow, and I'm sure Louise will hug me l-like this even at night.', he thought, liking the barely soft sensation on his face.

He was stunned that also Siesta's cousin liked him, guessing that Derflinger would tease him as usual for that. But at least, he was glad that Louise was fine, as he would never forgive anyone that hurt her or made her cry. And the same went for the other friends he made of course.

And chapter 6 is here! If you're surprised to see this new chapter so soon, it's because I have some free time this week, so also some time to write. As you can read, after Henrietta explained them their mission, Saito and his "girlfriend" went to the capital city on a spy mission in order to find information about the possible conspiracy against the royal family.

Our Sword seems to have a lot of fangirls inside the Charming Fairies and yes, I changed Scarron's personality because I was annoyed with his character in the original series. Saito also demonstrated to that bastard of a tax collector what happens to those that dare to hurt his dear Louise, ending up to make her but also Jessica like him more haha.

Will he and the pinkette gather new information? Will Jessica make some more moves on him? Stay tuned to find out.
