Chapter 7

Inside a tower, Montmorency was being kept prisoner by an evil noble. "Let me go, please!", she told him, scared and crying.

"No. Your family is rich, so you're not free until they give me a huge amount of money, hahahaha!", he said, grinning and laughing maniacally.

Suddenly, the door of the room got burst opened, catching their attention. They saw a figure wearing a black cape with a hood that hid its face, armed with a sword.

"Who the heck are you?!", asked the evil noble angrily.

"Her savior!"

At that shout, the mysterious person charged forward and began clashing his sword against the villain's one, putting him in difficulty while the blonde girl watched everything in awe. "This is the end!", shouted that person, disarming the noble and knocking him out with a hit on the head.

Once the bastard fell down, the hero went towards Montmorency, cutting the ropes that tied her. "Y-you've saved me! I'm so grateful to you!", she told him, crying in joy.

"I will never let anyone hurt you. You're very important for me, Montmorency-san."

The way he called her made her widen her eyes: there was only a person who called her like that. So she gasped and blushed when her savior lifted his hood, revealing Saito's face and making the blondie gasp. The boy placed also a hand on her face, approaching her lips with his own to kiss her and making her blush profusely...

"Ahhhh!", exclaimed the water magician, waking up instantly all flustered. She looked around to see that she was inside her room at the magic academy and it was morning outside of the window.

'I-It was all a dream? W-why did I have such a dream about Saito-kun? He was so brave and we were about to k-k-Waahh!', she thought, blushing more and putting her face in her cushion. She couldn't believe that she had a dream like that about him, as she was Guiche's girlfriend.

"Miss Montmorency, are you ok? I've heard you screaming.", asked a maid that was cleaning the other rooms outside, knocking on the door.

"A-ah, I'm fine. I-I've just had a shocking dream.", replied the blondie nervously.

"Oh, I see.", said the maid, returning to cleaning while Montmorency sighed.

'It's better if I go to have breakfast.', she thought, getting up from her bed. Opening her wardrobe, she took her school's uniform and wore it after taking off her aqua green nightgown, putting on a ribbon behind her head. Once she was done, she left her room and apologized to the maid for screaming before going towards the canteen.

It was Sunday, so it passed a day since Louise and her familiar went to Tristania to spend the weekend there as they told her and other people. Such news made Sylphid pout because she loved playing with the boy, and in fact Montmorency saw her sulking in the courtyard while reaching the canteen.

She was still flustered because of that pretty romantic dream she had about him, as she didn't understand why it was him who appeared there and not Guiche. Speaking of him, he appeared in front of her.

"Good morning, my Montmorency.", he said, smiling and with his rose wand in the hand.

"G-good morning, Guiche. You still didn't have breakfast, huh? Let's go together then.", she told him, still flushed.

"Huh? Are you ok? You're blushing."

"Ah, it's kinda hot today. T-that's why.", she replied, smiling nervously.

"Hmm, yeah. The sunlight is strong . Let's go to the canteen."

Nodding, she followed him and sighed in relief that she didn't say the real reason of her state; she still didn't understand it, after all. The canteen had less students inside because some of them went somewhere like Louise and Saito did, except for Kirche and Tabitha that were eating at a table.

"Good morning.", said Guiche and his girlfriend in unison, sitting at said table.

"Good morning, you two. You didn't go on a date today?", asked them Kirche while Tabitha greeted them silently.

"I've got some homework to do for tomorrow, so we couldn't haha. Louise and Saito are still in Tristania as it seems.", replied the blonde boy while his girlfriend frowned at hearing about the pinkette and the foreign boy.

"Yeah, Zero and that handsome are still on a date. Mouu, I wish I were in her place.", said the pouting redhead.

"He doesn't like you after he saw your personality and you know how much he cares for Louise.", said the bluenette, eating a biscuit and making her friend pout more.

"Ever since she summoned him, she's always lovey-dovey with him and he has made friends with all the staff's members and also with Tabitha's familiar.", said Guiche, drinking a cup of tea.

"Sylphid wants him to be back to play together in fact. She misses him.", said Tabitha, making Guiche chuckle.

Her words made Montmorency think that she kinda missed him too, as she was used to watch him training outside with his sword and found him awesome. She blushed again when his smiling face appeared in her mind, but she quickly stopped thinking about it to avoid to get asked again about her red face.

So she kept having breakfast while chitchatting about homework and other things, missing seeing the young swordsman eat the food delightfully. She found him cute in those moments, even if she felt kinda jealous at seeing Louise always cling onto him.

After finishing to have breakfast, she spent the time outside near the fountain because her boyfriend had some homework to do. The fountain was the same one where Saito washed his and Louise's clothes.

'When she summoned him, I was surprised that she got a human boy as familiar. Though, he then fought Guiche because he cheated on me and he w-was always so nice with me. Even at that time t-that he told me to cling on him after I said I feared dark woods.', she thought, blushing and looking at the ground.

His summoning changed a lot of things in the academy, as Louise was much happier in comparison to before and he was the first commoner to defeat a noble in a duel. Though, it was his kindness that Montmorency admired and she thought again about her dream.

"Miss Montmorency, aren't you with Mister De Gramont?", suddenly asked Siesta, who had a basket of clothes in the hands.

"Oh, hello, Siesta. No, he has some homework to do, so I'm relaxing here outside.", she replied, surprised.

"I see. The weather is pretty nice today hehe.", said the maid, giggling.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Hmm? What is it?"

"Do you miss Saito-kun?"

As soon as she heard that question, the black haired girl blushed immediately and lowered her gaze, nodding.

"Y-yeah, I miss him. He always praises the pastries I make and I-I'm deeply grateful to him after I was freed from being Count Mott's servant.", she answered, smiling.

"He was really cool when he fought him. T-to be honest, I miss him too. Is it strange?", asked the blondie, blushing.

"Saito-san is kind, brave and cares deeply about his friends, so I don't think it's strange that you miss him. It just shows that he's dear to you like you, I and other people are to him.", was Siesta's reply.

Those words made Montmorency's eyes widen, but she quickly smiled because she was right. So she thanked Siesta for answering her questions, getting a smile from her before greeting her.

Although the maid didn't say it, her flushed expression when she got asked about him was a sign that he was more than a friend for her, and that made the blondie frown in jealousy but also understand something: that she had feelings for him.

Despite she was Guiche's girlfriend, after he cheated on her and what Saito did for her, she had begun to care about Louise's familiar and his kindness made her get more affectionate to him. And the dream about him was then an example of the growing feelings she had for him.

'S-so I l-like him…I get annoyed when other girls cling onto him and I'm happy when he talks to me. Even now, I would like he was here.', she thought, blushing and touching her cheeks. It was truly incredible that she had those feelings for the foreign swordsman, despite she had already Guiche. And those feelings would grow bigger too.

Inside Tristania instead, precisely in the castle of the royal family, the pink haired magician and her familiar were inside the throne's room in front of Henrietta.

"I trusted Chalenne and he ended up being corrupted…Thank you for stopping him and his group, Saito-kun.", said Henrietta, smiling at her childhood friend and the boy.

"I-I couldn't let him harass Louise or do worse haha.", he told her, chuckling and blushing while his master smiled at him.

"We didn't hear anything of suspicious between the citizens yesterday, but I promise we will continue to gather other information, Princess.", said Louise, looking determined.

"Just be careful. I don't want anything of bad to happen to you two.", said the purple head, getting smiles and nods from both of them. So after they finished reporting, they greeted her and proceeded to leave the room and also the castle, which left Saito amazed when he entered inside some minutes ago.

He visited Japanese temples during some school trips in his world, but it was the first time ever his eyes witnessed a beautiful medieval castle. Anyways, after they left said castle, the two of them began to walk around the city to eavesdrop again. Of course, the pinkette clung onto his arm happily.

The night before, following Jessica's kiss on his cheek, he took a bath with Louise together and she even hugged his head against her chest while sleeping. It was clear that what Jessica did made her jealous and also clingier with him, who was sure that he would end up kissing her or doing something more one day.

All the affection she gave him and the baths they took together made it difficult for him to refrain from kissing her on the lips, because even if she didn't confess her love, all her actions showed that she liked him quite a lot or even more. Plus, since she was wearing the same outfit, she was too cute to his eyes.

Going to the center of the city, they took a look at the shops and the products sold by other merchants, listening to people's conversations . "Since I can hear too, I will tell you if I eavesdrop something of suspicious.", said Derflinger.

"Thank you, Derf. I'm not sure, but if it's true that the king was assassinated, that could have been done from someone that wanted to take his place.", said Saito, with a hand on his chin.

"If it's like you say, it's horrible. To k-kill Henrietta's father for that reason…", said Louise sadly.

"During my 6000 years, I witnessed betrayals or people desiring for power and getting it in disdainful ways unfortunately. I'm not surprised that the princess thought of a conspiracy."

"That's why we must keep searching for some info or clues. We have only today to end the mission, so let's do our best.", said the foreign boy, getting an energetic "Yes!" from the girl and Derflinger.

So they continued to walk through the center to eavesdrop, looking around to see if there was someone of suspicious in the crowd. In order to not get lost and to be lovey-dovey as usual, Louise kept latching onto her dear Saito's arm, blushing. She felt safer whenever she was together with him.

He was used to her super clinginess at this point, but he couldn't help but find her always adorable. Though, he remembered the kisses he received from Siesta and her cousin, finding incredible how he got kissed first by Louise and then other girls and believing that his classmates in his world would call him a casanova if they knew about it. Nonetheless, they would be more amazed at knowing about the existence of a world with magic and fantastic creatures where he was now.

But while he thought about their reactions, he and Louise suddenly heard something of interesting; a woman was talking with a man about her fear of a possible conflict between Tristain and Albion, getting calmed down by the man somehow.

"Albion?"

"It's the kingdom whose territory is closer to Tristain. It's governed by prince Wales, Henrietta's cousin.", explained the pinkette to him.

"Really? So why does that woman fear an attack from them?"

"I don't know. Prince Wales is kindhearted and it wouldn't make sense that he attacked Tristain. Maybe some citizens of here fear that there are evil people inside Albion.", she told him, frowning.

Her hypothesis combined with what Derf told them earlier made Saito more worried but also think that there could be a conspiracy in that kingdom as well. Despite it was just an hypothesis and not an info, it was something of important anyways.

"I hope that I can learn to perform spells well, so I can be more helpful.", suddenly said Louise, sounding sad.

"I'm sure you will be able to. If you managed to summon me as your familiar, you could perform other spells well too.", he told her, smiling and caressing her head.

Being encouraged by him like that made her blush and giggle; she truly loved his kindness and the care he had for her, but she also glanced at his lips. The kiss they had the first time was to form the contract, but she liked it anyways because she found him gorgeous when they first met.

Him fighting Guiche for her sake and the times he saved her made her like him more, and even if he came from another dimension, she liked him anyways. That was why she wanted to kiss him on the lips again sooner or later, and he felt the same about her too.

The two of them continued to search for information until it was lunch time, so they decided to eat some sandwiches on a bench. Louise wasn't spoiled like other nobles of her age, so she was fine with eating something like that; hanging out with her "boyfriend" filled her of joy, after all.

"You two just need someone to play a romantic melody with the violin and the atmosphere is perfect haha.", said Derflinger, making the "couple" blush.

"S-shut up.", said Saito, frowning instead while the talking sword chuckled more. The boy blushed more when the pinkette sat closer to him and leaned her head on his shoulder while still eating.

'Why is she so cute?!', he thought happily. If she continued to be so affectionate, he would really end up taking her lips in a kiss, not knowing that it was something she wanted to happen very much.

He glanced in fact at her lips; they looked so soft and sweet, so much that he got more tempted. "Y-you make me blush more if you stare at me, Saito.", she told him, looking away and smiling.

"A-ah, sorry. You're so beautiful that I-I can't help it haha.", he told her, scratching his cheek. Obviously, she blushed more and giggled while countless hearts surrounded them. They looked so lovely that even the passersby that saw them smiled gladly.

Once they were done with eating, the "couple" went back to gather some possible information, with the difference that they tried to listen to those that mentioned Albion. What they heard earlier made them consider the probability that there was a conspiracy lurking in that kingdom, so eavesdropping about it was important.

At a certain point, the foreign boy felt like someone was observing him and Louise, so he glanced around to see it was just his imagination. But it wasn't like that, as he saw a dark figure with a hoodie watching from an alley, making the figure gasp and hide.

"Louise, wait for me.", he told her instantly before starting to run towards that figure.

"Ehh? Where are you going?! Saito!", she exclaimed, following him.

Going towards the alley, he saw the mysterious person running away, so he chased it at higher speed while Louise's eyes saw it as well. Not wanting to play cat catches mouse too long, her familiar jumped in the air, blocking the figure by getting in its way.

"H-how did you jump so forward?", asked the hooded person, sounding like a male.

"It doesn't matter. I want to know why you were watching us.", replied Saito defiantly.

"Do you think I will answer so easily?", asked the figure, grinning and taking out a magical wand. The two teenagers' eyes widened at seeing it, especially when he threw a fireball at Saito.

Acting fast, he swung out Derf and cut the fireball in half, absorbing it too. "W-what the hell?!", was the figure's reaction.

"Don't hurt him!", exclaimed Louise, taking out her wand too and starting to cast a spell, catching his attention. Her spell caused a white explosion in the alley, which scared the nearby citizens while Louise got pushed back from the impact before someone caught her.

Opening her eyes, she saw Saito's face as first thing. "S-Saito?"

"Are you ok?"

"Yes-?!", she said, blushing more because he carried her in bridal style.

'H-He saved me from falling and now he's carrying me like this? How lucky I am!', she thought, giggling and thanking him with a hug that made him blush too.

Though, they looked in front of them and saw the mysterious mage on the ground, damaged by her spell and without his hoodie: he was an older man with short brown hair. Putting her down, Saito walked towards him and lifted him, making him wince and open his eyes.

"Tell me why you were spying us.", he ordered him.

"As if I wou-"

He cut off his sentence when the boy showed Derflinger ready to strike, glaring menacingly. "It's better you start talking now."

Understanding that he wasn't joking, the man gulped and said that he was spying them on behalf of another person, saying that it was someone from Reconquista. "Reconquista? What is it?"

"I-I don't know! I was just paid to spy on you two! I swear!"

"I think he's nothing else to tell us, partner.", said Derflinger, shocking the man that got quickly knocked out by it with a hit on the head.

At the same moment, some guards arrived and saw the damaged walls and that unconscious man, so they asked the two teenagers what happened. Saito and his master explained them everything, showing the wand used by the magician as proof and with Louise apologizing for scaring the citizens with her spell.

The guards were convinced of their explanation because they recognized the mage's face as a noble with a bad name around Tristania, so they took him away to imprison him while thanking the two teenagers. "It looks like some information came to us instead.", said a still serious Saito.

"He said he was paid by someone od Reconquista…Could it be the conspiracy behind the king's death?", said Louise instead, blushing when he suddenly hugged her.

"Thank goodness you're not hurt.", he told her sweetly.

Getting redder, she smiled and reciprocated his hug in bliss; they cared so deeply about each other that her joy grew bigger. Though, he did something of unexpected then: he kissed her forehead.

"I-I wanted to kiss you.", he told her, scratching the back of his head and blushing.

Cupid's arrow striked her heart at hearing those words, so she hugged him tighter and snuggled her face in his chest while saying that she adored him repeatedly. "Haha, well done.", said Derflinger while his owner blushed more.

Still, the knowledge about the Reconquista mentioned by that magician was what he and Louise were more concerned, and since Henrietta would surely hear about that spy's imprisonment, they decided to go to ther castle to tell her about what they found out. First they needed to take a bath after fighting against that mage, so they started walking to reach the Charming Fairies, with Louise latching lovingly on him.

It was the first time she received a kiss from him, and albeit it was on the forehead, it made her overjoyed anyways. But when they were back at the inn, her joy turned into annoyance when Jessica latched on Saito's right arm.

"Welcome back, you two! I felt lonely without you here, Saito-kun~.", she told him, smiling and making him blush.

"Good job, Jessica! You can date my daughter freely, Saito-kun!", said Scarron instead.

"No, he's mine! Let go of him!", exclaimed Louise, glaring at Siesta's cousin.

"Nope hehe."

Needless to say that the young man sweatdropped and continued to blush due to the situation he was in, as it was basically the same one of the previous day. He was at least happy that he and the pinkette managed to get some clue about the potential conspiracy against the crown, but he thought that it concerned also Albion.

He didn't know what awaited him and Louise after finding out about Reconquista, but no matter what, he would do his best to protect her from any danger. He had to do his best to control himself while taking a bath with her too, as he could start doing something more to her other than a kiss on the forehead sooner or later.

Chapter 7 is here, everyone! Well, well, it looks like Montmorency had a nice dream about Louise's familiar, which was enough to wake up all flustered fufu. She, Sylphid and Siesta missed him while he was in Tristain, and it seems that the water magician recognized her growing feelings for him after talking with Siesta.

Meanwhile, Louise and Saito managed to tell Henrietta about Chalenne and to get closer to each other, but they also found something close to the conspiracy feared by the princess; a conspiracy that may concern Albion and prince Wales too. Their mission got completed in the end, but how will Montmorency act around the boy now that she recognized her feelings? Will they and maybe Siesta's ones too get stronger? Stay tuned to find out.
