At the magic academy of Tristaim, Colbert was explaining the principles of fire magic to his students. But their attention was more focused on Saito, as he had both Montmorency and Louise hugging his arms.

'Spirits need a pray to get summoned? That's interesting.', thought the swordsman, observing carefully. Since there were still other things he didn't know about their world, he made sure to look and study everything to get all the acknowledge he could in order to know how to deal with all what awaited him in the future.

His and Louise's eyes widened when, following Montmorency's pray, something came out of the water and took the shape of a woman made of water. "Who are you 4?", she asked them, sounding unnerved.

"My name's Montmorency and my family has a pack with you since ages, Spirit of Water. I apologize for disturbing you, but I need to know what happened here.", replied the blonde girl with a serious expression.

"Hmm, I remember you, yes. If you want to know, my most precious treasure got stolen by me from someone. So I will flood everything in order to get that thief and my treasure back."

Hearing that made Saito's eyes widen but also glare, so he walked forward and said, "That's not a solution! You will kill innocent people like that and it's not right!"

"S-Saito-kun, please calm down.",

"Young boy, I want my treasure back and-Wait, what are those runes on your hand?", suddenly asked him the spirit.

"These are my runes of Gandalf. They're the proof that I'm Louise's dear familiar.", he answered, making the pinkette blush and giggle happily.

Upon getting that answer, the female spirit seemed to be surprised and fluctuated towards him. The girls got worried for him, but she just stared into his eyes: those blue pupils full of determination and bravery could only be part of a hero, especially someone like the legendary Gandalf.

"Young man, I can see a lot of resolution and good will in your eyes. If I ask you to retrieve my treasure, will you do it?"

That request surprised him and the girls, especially them because they were surprised how she was calm while talking with him. Though, he quickly replied, "If you promise to stop flooding these lands, I promise you to take back that treasure for you."

"Very well, Gandalf is known to always to keep his promises. The thief named Cromwell and what he stole me is the Ring of Andvaluri, which is capable to make people mindless. He stole it whil I was asleep because of some magic users."

Needless to say that such revelation left the four of them and Sylphid shocked, with the boy clenching his fists in anger. A ring capable of that was only dangerous in the hands of a thief like Cromwell, as he was sure that he would use it for some evil plans against innocent people.

"Spirit of Water, even if I am commoner and not a noble, I promise you to bring you back your ring at all costs. The only thing we ask you are your tears to cure Montmorency-san.", he told her, putting a hand on said girl's shoulder and making her blush while she looked at him in admiration.

" It's not a problem, Gandalf kept his promises since ages and therefore, I will give you some of my tears. Here and until we meet again, Gandalf."

After saying that, the spirit raised an arm and sent some shiny droplets of water that Tabitha collected with a glass water. So the creature disappeared back in the depths of the lake, whose water's level began to decrease slowly.

The young man sighed and smiled that they managed to get what they came for, but he got surprised when Montmorency suddenly hugged him and snuggled on his chest, with Louise gasping.

"I-I'm so sorry, Saito-kun. I'm sorry for making you come here because I tried to use that potion on you. Please, f-forgive me.", she told him, crying and staining his sweater.

He was stunned that she felt so much at fault for what happened, but despite his blush, he reciprocated the hug and patted her head. "Don't worry, I forgave you way earlier and I don't hate you for what you did. Also, I will be glad that you will return to be yourself, the Montmorency-san I made friends with."

Such kind words hit her heart like an arrow, causing her to cry more and kept on hugging him while he comforted her at his best. Louise and the blue dragon were jealous of course, but the pinkette smiled at seeing her beloved be so kind; it was one of the many traits that she loved about him.

'Still, what the spirit said about that ring makes me uneazy. Princess Henrietta has to deal with a conspiracy against her family and now this…I just hope that nothing of bad happens to Saito and everyone.', she thought, changing her expression in a serious one. As far she knew, there wasn't anyone that she met whose was Cromwell, but she had the hypothesis that he could be connected to Reconquista somehow.

Obviously, even her familiar had the same thought, keeping his rage in control because the idea that someone could use that ring to control people's minds really angered him, especially if they dared to use it on people dear to him. Which only gave him further motivation to ameliorate his abilities and get stronger and stronger every day.
