Chapter 45: Newfound Resolve
Tangle was walking around the Typhoon, unsure on what to do.
She had just finished writing in her journal, updating it about how that last mission went… and now she just felt lost.
Fact of the matter was this: She got beaten… bad. And she felt so small now because of it.
Regardless, she knew just standing around wouldn't do her any good, so she decided to try and find something to do.
When she saw Cosmo with a cart filled with food, she smiled.
"Hey Cosmo!" Tangle asked.
Cosmo, who was not paying attention to where she was going, bumped right into Tangle.
"WAH! Sorry Tangle!" Cosmo said frantically. "I didn't see you there!"
Tangle just gave her a thumbs up to reassure her…
It was hard though, since it hit her in the gut… and she was still recovering from her injuries.
"Are you alright?!" Cosmo asked.
"Y-yeah… just got the wind knocked out of me, don't worry…" Tangle groaned out. "What's with the food?"
Cosmo was still very worried about Tangle, but answered regardless.
"I was just bringing this to Tails, just to make sure he ate while working on Vector and the other's ship." Cosmo explained.
Tangle gave her another thumbs up.
"Good idea… that boy needs to remember to eat…" She said. "I'm… just gonna go sit down for a bit…"
"Y-yeah… you do that." Cosmo said.
Tangle hobbled off, and found a place to sit in a hallway.
"Oof… ok… can't overdo it…" She groaned to herself.
She just sat there, and closed her eyes. Trying to take her mind off the pain.
The pain eventually subsided, and just in time too, cause she heard an all too familiar voice begin to approach…
"It would be disrespectful for us to freeload while he's working so hard to fix our ship… soooooooo…" Vector said as they approached her.
"Glad you agree." Tangle said. "But didn't Tails tell you to stay in your room?"
Vector seemed to notice Tangle's presence at that moment and smiled.
"Ah! Good to see you up and about again little lady!" Vector said with a smile.
Tangle frowned at that… he was avoiding the question…
Which meant he was up to something.
"What are you up to?" She asked bluntly.
"What?! What makes you think I am up to something?!" Vector asked.
Tangle just looked at him.
"… Ok yeah, I am up to something." Vector cracked under her gaze. "Tell me, have you noticed just how close your little fox friend and the new girl have gotten?"
"Huh?" Tangle asked. "Uh… kinda, yeah. I mean, they are pretty good friends… why?"
Vector just chuckled.
"Ah, the innocence of youth…" He said. "Had you never considered that the two of them yearn for something… more?"
Tangle tilted her head in confusion.
"The heck is that supposed to mean?" She asked.
"Tell me, have you ever wanted to… date a boy before?" Vector asked.
"No." Tangle said bluntly.
Vector fell over.
"Wow… quick answer…" He said from the ground.
"So what, you think Tails and Cosmo are crushing on each other?" Tangle asked.
"Oh! So you do know what love is!" Vector said, surprised.
Tangle frowned at that.
"I mean, yeah…"
"Good! Then you know what we're up to!" Vector said with a smile.
Tangle groaned at that.
"Please don't do anything stupid…" Tangle said.
"When have I ever?" Vector asked.
Tangle glared at him.
"Just about every time I've seen you…"
Vector's whole body seemed to crack.
"Don't worry, we will try and keep him in line." Espio said.
"Yeah! What he said!" Charmy said.
That… was good enough.
Espio did seem to have a good head on his shoulders…
"Alright… carry on." Tangle said.
"You're not gonna help?" Vector asked.
Tangle just shrugged.
"Eh, romance isn't exactly my specialty." Tangle explained. "I could get some advice from Amy if you want, but that's about it."
"Ooooh! That would be great!" Vector said. "That little lady is apparently really good with this kind of thing!"
Tangle sighed, before getting up.
She was at least happy that the pain had subsided.
"Right, lemme go talk to her." Tangle said. "Don't do anything dumb until I do…"
The three saluted.
"Roger!"
And with that, Tangle left.
…
"So here's the plan boys!" Vector said once Tangle was out of earshot.
"Oh! Tangle! Hey!" Amy said, waving to Tangle.
Tangle just gave her a small wave.
She then walked over and sat down at the table Amy and Cream were sitting at.
"How are you feeling?" Amy asked.
"Still sore… still a bit down…" Tangle said sadly.
Amy frowned at that.
"Hey, it's ok… we'll beat them next time!" Amy said happily.
"Yeah! You're too strong to lose again!" Cream said.
Tangle couldn't help but smile at that… Cream's energy was too infectious.
"Right… anyways…" Tangle said before she turned to Amy. "I gotta ask you something."
"Huh? Oh uh… sure!" Amy said.
"Have you noticed that Tails and Cosmo have been getting… closer lately?" Tangle asked.
Amy's eyes immediately had stars in them.
"FINALLY!" She shouted, startling Tangle and Cream. "I was WAITING for someone else to notice!"
"Oh… uh… I guess that's a yes…"
"OF COURSE! Oh my gosh those two would be SO CUTE TOGETHER!" Amy said grinning widely.
Cream's eyes went wide.
"Wait, I thought I was the only one who saw that!" Cream said excitingly.
"Duh! It's so obvious!"
At that moment, Jewel walked in.
"Wait, we're finally talking about that?!" She asked.
At that point, Tangle felt pretty dumb…
All the other girls seemed to notice that they liked each other… even the Chaotix picked up on it…
"I… guess I am not the best at this, huh?" Tangle asked.
"Hard to blame you all things considered Tangle." Jewel said, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"True…"
Amy just looked between them, confused.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Amy asked.
"Later… so, are we doing anything about this?" Tangle asked. "Like, push them to ask each other out or something?"
Amy's eyes went wide.
"No way!"
"… Huh?"
Amy raised a finger, as if she was about to lecture Tangle.
"Listen up Tangle, the most important thing about romance is that it has to happen naturally!" She explained. "Take me and Sonic for example."
"There's nothing natural about that!" Tangle shouted.
"Yes it is!" Amy said. "We were brought together by fate… I know we're meant to be together, and so does Sonic! He just has trouble admitting it is all."
Everyone began to sweat a bit at that.
"Uh… yeah, sure."
"If we force them to get together, it couldl lead to all kinds of problems!" Amy explained. "So, we can't get involved, at all!"
"Huh… if you say so…" Tangle said…
Then here eyes went wide as she shot out of her chair.
"SHOOT!" She shouted before sprinting away.
The three girls who remained just stared at her as she ran away.
"Uh… ok…?" Amy asked. "So Jewel, what was that you were saying before about Tangle?"
Jewel just smiled sadly.
"Sorry, it's not my place to say…"
Tangle was frantically search the Blue Typhoon, trying to find the Chaotix to stop them from doing anything to "help" Tails and Cosmo.
Eventually, she saw them leave a room.
"STOP EVERYTHING!" Tangle shouted.
"Huh?" Vector said, before turning to Tangle. "Oh! Just the lady we were looking for!"
Tangle then grabbed them with her tail and began walking away.
"Wha- What are you doing?!" Vector shouted.
"Stopping you from doing something dumb!" Tangle explained. "Amy said to NOT try ANYTHING! Let things happen naturally!"
Vector's eyes went wide.
"O-oh! Did she now! Well then, I guess you should take us far from here!" Vector said.
"… Wait…" Tangle said. "You're being too cooperative with that… what's going on?"
Vector began to sweat.
"Uh… well… you see…"
"HEY!"
Turning around, she saw Knuckles standing there… covered in marker?
"YOU PUNKS THINK YOU'RE FUNNY?!" He asked.
Tangle looked back at the Chaotix, then back to Knuckles.
"Eh, you guys probably deserve this." She said before tossing them at Knuckles.
"TRAITOR!" Vector shouted before Knuckles began to pummel them.
Tangle smiled, and turned to walk away…
When she walked by the room the Chaotix were walking out of though, she noticed something.
Tails, holding Cosmo, as he flew up to the ceiling to help her put up a disco ball.
Behind them… was a banner…
One that said "Thank You Everyone!"
Putting that aside, she noticed the slightly red coloration of their cheeks.
"Huh… guess they did something…" Tangle said…
She wasn't sure if "something right" was the right way to put it.
Regardless, she walked in.
"Wow, what's all this about?" She asked.
The two turned to Tangle and gasped.
"Ah! Tangle!" Cosmo shouted. "P-Please leave! You weren't supposed to see this!"
"Too late for that now…" Tangle said with a shrug. "So, what's going on here?"
Cosmo turned to Tails, who nodded.
"We finished setting up anyways…" Tails said.
"…Ok…" Cosmo said. "Can you gather everyone?"
Tangle nodded.
"Sure, I guess I can do that."
Tangle turned around and left.
When she got outside, she heard Cosmo say:
"I thought Vector was going to keep her away…"
"He must of not found her in time… don't take it personally." Tails said.
Tangle's eyes went wide at this…
"I get it… She's upset I couldn't beat Dark Oak…" Tangle said. "I guess… the party is for everyone but me…"
She wiped the tears out of her eyes, and continued walking.
She had a promise to keep.
Before long, everyone was gathered… though the Chaotix were covered in bruises, courtesy of Knuckles.
"Ok, what's up?" Sonic asked. "And why are the lights off?"
Suddenly, the lights turned on, and everyone looked around in awe.
Tangle had already seen it all before, but she had to admit… they did a good job setting this thing up.
"What is this?" Amy asked.
"Well…" Cosmo said, coming into view. "I wanted to throw you all a party… to thank you for all your hard work."
Tangle sighed.
"Figured as much…" Tangle said before turning around.
"Tangle?" Cosmo asked.
"Have fun guys…" She said before walking away.
…
"Please wait!" Cosmo said, getting in Tangle's way.
"Huh?"
Tails then put a hand on her shoulder.
"There's more to it…" Tails said.
Tangle turned to Cosmo for answers.
"I… I know you're still beating yourself up for not being able to beat Dark Oak… but I wanted to let you know that I really, REALLY appreciate the fact that you tried." Cosmo explained. "So… more than anything… this party is to show how much I appreciate you Tangle…"
Tangle stayed silent, and looked down, a shadow being cast over her eyes…
"Uh… Tangle?" Tails asked.
Then, she suddenly looked up, and a fountain of tears shot out of her eyes.
"Wah! Tangle! Are you alright?!" Cosmo said, worried she said something wrong.
"BWWAAAAAAAAAH! I! AM! SO! TOUCHED!" She cried out.
Jewel rolled her eyes, and walked over and handed Tangle a tissue.
"She's fine, just really happy." Jewel explained.
Tangle wiped the tears out of her eyes, and at the same time, began wrapping her tail around her body.
"I-I thought you might hate me for not beating him!" Tangle said. "For not avenging them!"
Cosmo smiled.
"Tangle… of course I don't hate you." She explained. "I know you gave it everything you could… and I know that next time, you'll find a way to win!"
Tangle used her tail to hold a tissue to her nose, before blowing into it.
"R-Really?"
"Of course!" Cosmo said with a smile.
Tangle responded by pulling Cosmo in for a hug with her tail.
"I'm so sorry…"
"You have nothing to apologize for." Cosmo reassured.
After a moment, the two separated, and Tangle let herself out of her tail.
"Well, what are we waiting for?! LET'S PARTY!"
Everyone cheered at that, and the party got started.
Later
"Cosmo… beautiful…" Tails said before getting flustered and looking out to space.
"Yeah! The stars are beautiful!" Cosmo said happily.
"… Yeah… hehehe…" Tails said.
Tangle watched this, and sighed.
"He is NOT slick…" She pointed out.
"I'll say." Amy said in agreement.
She then noticed Tangle looking at them, a slight smile on her face.
"Jealous?"
"Huh?" Tangle asked. "Jealous about what?"
"I mean, I'm not gonna lie… Cream and I kinda thought you might have a thing for Tails." Amy explained.
"… What…?"
Jewel snorted a bit at that.
Amy looked at Jewel, confused, then back to Tangle.
"Ugh… Ok, this is the second time you thought something like this… and I guess I can't blame you since I didn't explain this the first time…" Tangle groaned out. "So… I am gonna set the record straight right now. First of all: Tails is too young for me… he's nine and I'm thirteen, like… really. And second…"
Tangle then stood up and looked Amy straight in the eyes, earning everyone's attention.
"Amy…
I'm a lesbian."
Amy's eyes went wide at this.
"Did it really take you that long to tell her?" Sonic asked. "You told me back in Chris' world!"
"Wha- WHEN DID SHE DO THAT?!" Amy asked.
"Funnily enough, the morning you said you thought we were getting married." Tangle said with a laugh. "Tails made a joke about how 'I would LOOOOOOVE to live with Sonic' and I broke the news to them."
Amy's jaw dropped to the floor.
"And that is why we thought your accusation was so hilarious." Sonic pointed out.
Amy turned to Tails, who just nodded.
"… I'm taken, just letting you know." Amy pointed out.
"You ain't my type anyways." Tangle said with a wink.
"I'll have you know I am everyone's type!" Amy said.
Tangle rolled her eyes.
"Sure, whatever you say Ames."
She then sat down.
"So… I am guessing you know you're a lesbian because there is someone you DO like?" Amy asked.
Tangle turned slightly red at that.
"I mean… kinda? I never got her name though…" Tangle admitted. "There was just this really, REALLY cute wolf I saw in Spiral Hill once that I couldn't get out of my head… only girl I ever fell for since the rest of the kids my age pretty much avoided me…"
"I was the one to figure out what it meant." Jewel explained. "Also, THAT is why she's so bad when it comes to romance, almost zero experience with it."
However, Amy wasn't focused on that, she was focused on…
"A wolf huh…?"
"Again, never got her name." Tangle said. "Oh well, maybe I'll see her again one day."
Amy smiled at that.
"Love always finds a way." She said.
Tangle nodded.
"Guess you're the expert on that." Tangle said.
She then turned back to Cosmo and Tails, and smiled.
She had to admit… those two seemed really good together.
After the party was over, Tangle went to the hanger, and over to a large box.
She had brought this box just in case she had nothing to do between planets… but never had the motivation to open it until now.
So, she got to work, unpacking the contents of it.
Was she still feeling down about losing to Dark Oak? Just a bit.
But… now, she was motivated.
"The answer was so simple…" She said to herself.
She then turned around, and smiled to the guy who had accompanied her.
"If I am not strong enough to damage Dark Oak… then I need to get stronger!" She said with a smile. "So… will you help me train Knuckles?!"
Knuckles smiled, and walked over to grab some training gear Tangle took out of the box.
"First, we set this up… then, we get to work!"
Tangle clenched her fist.
"RIGHT!"
Time to unleash a brand new Tangle!
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Tangle screamed.
The rest of the group just watched in awe, as Tangle was going through her new workout routine.
They looked to Knuckles, who looked proud.
"Uh… you don't think she's… overdoing it a bit?" Chris asked.
"Huh? Why would I think that?" Knuckles asked. "She's got the stamina and endurance to train this hard, so why not?"
Chris began to sweat.
"Well, first of all… isn't she still injured?" He asked.
"NO PAIN! NO GAIN!" Tangle screamed.
Everyone sweat-dropped at that.
"Uh… huh…" Chris said. "The other thing is… well…"
He then gestured to what Tangle was doing…
Lifting large, heavy dumbbells with both her arms, and a much larger weight with her tail…
Incredibly rapidly… it was honestly quite impressive.
Though they had to wonder why her eyes were glowing in the process.
What made it even crazier was just… how long she had been doing this.
It had been three days since the party.
The Chaotix's ship had been repaired the day after, and they left the ship.
So, while Tails and Chris were prepping the ship to go to another universe, Tangle had been training…
The whole time…
She actually barely stopped training, to the point where it started to get concerning.
Regardless, she finally put the weights down, and let out a battle cry…
"HOOOOOOOOO YEEEEEEEEEAH! I'M FEELING GREAAAAAAT!" She screamed, a yellow aura exploding out of her. "I FEEL LIKE I CAN TAKE ON AN ARMY! BRING EM ALL ON! RAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
Everyone sweat-dropped again.
Knuckles had given her some pointers, and she seemed to of taken them to heart.
"Great job!" Knuckles said with a thumbs up.
"Uh… yeah! Good to see you're feeling better Tangle!" Chris said nervously. "So uh… we're about to go and chase the Metarex to their universe… you should probably rest up so you're ready for anything!"
Tangle wiped some sweat from her forehead and smiled.
"Good idea!" She said, before tossing the towel she was using to the side. "Call me if you need me!"
She walked away nonchalantly.
"… Anyways, let's get going." Tails said, as the group all went to their respective positions for space travel.
Tangle never really helped out when it came to the actual space travel part (mostly because Tails was too worried she'd accidentally break something… same with Sonic really) so she just went to her room.
Before long however, she began to notice that things were getting… strange.
Strange in that it seemed that reality was twisting and bending around her.
"Whaaaaaaaaaat theeeeeeeeee…." Tangle said, her voice getting distorted.
She then started to feel very sick, and fell to her knees, before passing out.
The next thing Tangle knew, she was groggily picking herself off the floor…
The fact that it felt like the whole ship was shaking made that a bit more difficult.
"What is going on?" She asked herself.
She looked out a window, and saw a whole lot of yellow, but no movement…
So why was the ship shaking?
Then her eyes went wide.
"OH CRAP!"
She bolted out of the room, and straight towards the bridge.
When she got there, she saw everyone, minus Sonic and Knuckles, gathered.
"What's going on?! Are we under attack?!"
The group looked to her.
"THERE YOU ARE!" Jewel shouted.
"Sorry! I passed out! Things were weird!" Tangle explained frantically. "What's going on?"
Tails then pointed outside.
"Sonic and Knuckles are fighting one of the Metarex bosses! They need help!" He explained.
"SAY LESS!" Tangle shouted as she began running. "Time to put my training to good use!"
She quickly made her way to the front of the ship, and looked down.
Sure enough, Sonic and Knuckles were currently fighting a large, yellow Metarex.
"HEY UGLY!" She shouted.
"Huh?" The Yellow Metarex said. "Oh! You're alive!"
"HECK YEAH I AM!" She shouted as she jumped off the ship.
She then jumped off the ship, and landed beside Sonic.
"So, what we dealing with?" Tangle asked.
Sonic frowned.
"Incredibly strong, and an absolute tank." Sonic explained. "Knuckles couldn't even scratch him, even with his shovel claws."
Tangle nodded at that.
She definitely felt a lot stronger after her training… but she was not dumb enough to believe that she was stronger than Knuckles… at least, not yet.
"Wish we had time to work on a combo attack right about now…" Tangle said sadly.
"Then we use his weaknesses!" Sonic said with a smirk. "He's strong, but super slow… and super dumb."
Tangle smirked.
"Oh really now!" She said, before walking over. "Hey big guy! What's your name?"
The Metarex started flexing.
"Yellow Zelkova!"
Tangle sweat-dropped at the flexing.
"Uh huh… so like, I am guessing among your gang, you're the big, tough and stupid one, right?" She asked.
This seemed to make him angry.
"I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR THAT!" He shouted before twirling a giant rock in his hands, and slamming it down, which Tangle easily sidestepped.
"Ok, fine… you're not tough." She said.
"Oh! That's better! Thank you!" Zelkova said, seemingly happy.
…
"Uh…" Sonic started.
Tangle snorted, trying to hold back her laugh.
"No, give him a minute…" She said.
"… HEY WAIT A MINUTE!" Zelkova shouted before charging at her.
Tangle just got out of the way, causing him to slam face first into the ship, causing it to move a bit.
"Oh shoot!" Tangle shouted. "SORRY GUYS!"
Zelkova didn't let up though, and turned around and charged again.
Tangle just smirked, as she ducked under him, and took his legs out with her tail.
This caused him to fall to the ground, and slide a bit away.
As he was getting up though, Tangle quickly slammed into his head with a Tail Spin, launching her into the air.
"Knuckles! A little help!" She shouted.
Knuckles smirked, before jumping onto the ship, and then even higher to meet Tangle.
He then threw her downwards with all of his strength, causing her to fly down at an incredible speed.
Then, she did a front flip, indicating that she was launching a Tail Hammer…
But this time, it was different.
Normally, she'd use her foot to guide the tail and keep it straight for the maximum impact.
However, this time, before the flip, she grabbed it in her hands, and used them to swing her tail downwards, effectively doubling the impact it had.
Tail Hammer MK. II
Zelkova was hit straight on the head, causing him to yell out in surprise.
He certainly wasn't expecting an attack of that power and magnitude.
Then… something amazing happened.
Between the speed gained by Knuckles throwing her, and the new power of her Tail Hammer, it proved to be very effective…
And Zelkova's armor cracked.
The ground around him also cracked, as it caved in below him, causing him to fall down into a hole.
Tangle flew back, and landed with a smile on her face.
"HECK YEAH!" She cheered.
Zelkova climbed out the hole shortly after, and growled at them.
"I see… you are strong." Zelkova said. "However, your little tricks will only work for so long! You will fall before my supreme strength!"
Tangle just smirked, before deciding to try the same attack again.
However, this time, when the Tail Spin got just in range, Zelkova swatted her out of the air like it was nothing, sending her hurdling to the ground.
"Oof… ok… he's dumb… but not that dumb." Tangle said as she picked herself off the ground.
Sonic then smiled.
"Hey, I got an idea…" Sonic said. "We need to bust down a bunch of this land to get through here… so I was thinking…"
Sonic then began whispering his plan, and the two others smiled.
"Think the Typhoon can take it?" Tangle asked.
"Tails built it, didn't he?" Sonic said with a smirk.
Tangle nodded.
That was more than good enough for her.
So, the trio got to work, taunting Zelkova to the best of their abilities so that he'd charge into the Typhoon again and again, causing it to shift in direction.
Eventually, Sonic was satisfied with what they've done, and turned to Tangle.
"You gotta keep him in position… think you can do it?" Sonic asked.
Tangle gave him a thumbs up.
"Of course!"
Sonic nodded before turning to the bridge.
"Tails! The Sonic Driver!"
After taking a moment to realize what Sonic had planned, Tails responded.
"Gotcha!"
Sonic and Knuckles turned to leave, dead set on getting the Sonic Driver ready.
Meanwhile, Tangle jumped down from the Typhoon again, and looked Zelkova dead in the eye.
"Just you and me now big dummy!"
Zelkova got angry at the taunt, stomping on the ground like he was throwing a tantrum.
"I'll show you who's a dummy!" He shouted before charging at her.
Tangle quickly got out of the way.
"You call me dumb, but what about you?!" He suddenly asked.
That caused Tangle to freeze.
"Did you really think you could defeat Dark Oak?! Even I can't hope to defeat him!" Zelkova said. "And you needed help to even damage my armor!"
Tangle frowned, and looked down…
Then, she looked up and smiled.
"Yeah, I am pretty dumb!" She said earnestly. "Taking on Dark Oak, probably the dumbest thing I've ever done… but I know better now."
She then began to step forward.
"Alone… I may seem weak to you… but when I am with the others…"
At that moment, the Sonic Driver fired.
"I can't be beat."
She then quickly jumped to the side.
Zelkova heard the canon fire, and turned around to see Sonic flying towards him.
"Whoa! Is that a firework?!" Zelkova shouted.
Then, the attack connected, sending Zelkova flying through the rocks ahead, completely tearing the land apart beneath him.
Before long, the way forward was open, with the Typhoon flying away.
Tangle used her tail to spring back onto the ship, before using it to grab Sonic and bring him back.
The two took one last look at Zelkova, his armor completely covered in cracks, and even some segments missing.
Tangle used her tail to take one of the shards for herself.
"A souvenir of our battle." She said.
"Shoot! You clever beasts!" Zelkova said as they flew away. "Next time! I SHALL defeat you!"
"BRING IT!" Tangle shouted as they left.
She then turned to Sonic, who was sitting down, out of breath.
"Man… that was a tough one." He said.
The adrenaline running out, Tangle mirrored his actions.
"I'll say… Pretty sure Dark Oak was a lot tougher though…" She said.
"Then first things first… the Chaos Emeralds." Sonic said. "Then… we end this."
Tangle nodded, as they looked forward.
A light, signifying they were ending their trip through this tunnel… whatever they were in.
Tangle didn't know the specifics.
"The Metarex Universe…" Sonic said. "Wonder what it's like."
"Whatever it is… we can handle it." Tangle said, holding up her fist. "As a team."
Sonic nodded, before they fist bumped.
"And soon… we'll avenge them." Sonic said. "For her."
Tangle nodded.
And so, the area got enveloped in light, as the group entered a new universe.

And she's back to normal! Told you that wouldn't take long!
Couple major takeaways from this chapter: Tangle had a mini training arc and is now a fair bit stronger, though not on par with Knuckles in terms of pure power quite yet. She's still a fair bit below the main fighters (Sonic and Knuckles in particular) in terms of combat capability, but she's getting there. Tail Hammer Mk. II was just something fun I thought I'd include to kinda showcase her growth a bit.
The other, and even bigger one: Tangle is a lesbian in this story. In past stories, I had written her as bisexual, but it was heavily implied in the comics that she IS a lesbian, so I decided to make that the case here as well. I also decided to throw in a little tease involving a certain wolf (geez, I wonder who that could POSSIBLY be!)
Oh yeah, and most importantly, we got Tailsmo content… and I am already changing how it goes a bit.
It'll be a bit more obvious in a couple of chapters, but just know that everyone, especially Amy, is just letting it develop naturally as the two of them don't fully grasp just how much the other realizes to them… I'm sure that neither of them will come to realize what their feelings mean at the absolute worst time, totally :^)
