On the way to the Fight Universe, Galaxy King…
"So, let me see if I understand this, because this is probably the first time I've gotten the full story." Mark said as he was conversing with Ranma (in his female form) in one of the training rooms. "Your dad dunked you into a cursed spring."
"Yeah. We were training in the Junsekyo cursed springs. He fell into the spring of the drowned panda and dunked me in the spring of the drowned girl." Ranma said.
"Okay. And while you two were traveling the globe, you got engaged, multiple times, without any of them finding out." Mark continued. "How many people in your world know?"
"It's a small number. The people at the Tendo dojo along with a few people I meet with regularly. And of course all you guys." Ranma said. "Thankfully, no one outside of them has put the pieces together about my curse."
"How does it work exactly?" Mark asked.
"Well whenever I get hit with cold water, I become a girl. But hot water turns me back into a man." Ranma said.
"Okay, bit of an odd question but, ah…do you prefer male pronouns all the time, or do you switch whenever you're one of the other?" he asked.
"Huh…I never really thought of it before. Never really seemed to be a problem before." Ranma said. "Though I guess it switches depending on if the curse is active or not."
"Okay, good to know. Thanks." Mark said. "Though, can't imagine it's easy for you."
"I'll admit, this body has its ups and downs. Right now I'm not as strong but I am faster." Ranma said. "But I've learned to get used to it. Especially considering there doesn't seem to be any cure for this curse coming in my lifetime."
"Huh. Well, at least it's gotten you into this tournament." Mark pointed out.
"Yeah. It's a good chance to see how far I've gotten in my training." Ranma said. "Those girls and Yo-kai won't know what hit them."
"They sure as heck won't." Mark agreed, before a thought came to him. "Say…didn't the Dimensional Heroes used to have a few more people from your world in the group? What happened to them?"
"Ah, them. Well, after what happened with Shiki on that wild island and that stuff at CHS, plus with the Demon Lords release, they all decided to remain back home on my world. Don't think I've seen any of them in a long while." Ranma said.
"I see…" Mark responded. "You haven't…you know, gone home during the lull between adventures?"
"No. I've usually spent that time getting stronger in other places to keep up with everyone else here." Ranma said. "I know I'm not the most…memorable member, but I don't wanna lose my place here with everyone here."
"I…guess that makes sense." Mark responded with a tone of uncertainty.
"Huh…I guess I should call in sometime…just to see how everyone is doing." Ranma said.
"Yeah…but that can wait until after this leg of the journey." Mark said.
"Hey guys, we're here." Hope said, popping his head in.
"Right. Nice talking with ya." Ranma said as she hurried out of the training floor.
"Let me guess…talking to Ranma about his history?" Hope asked.
"Yeah, I haven't really gotten a chance to know him that well." Mark confirmed.
"He's fired up for the tournament, I'll bet. Lei is too." Hope said. "It's pretty interesting they're both entering. Where Ranma's been on the team for a long time, Lei's still pretty much the new girl. She has a lot to prove, especially since her dream is to become the next Earthen Heart Shifu."
"Yeah…but proving herself against some of the best is just one part. The other is actually getting some…students…" Mark said, stopping himself as he got an idea. "Say, Hope, I think I have an idea. Not sure it'll go through, but it never hurts to try…"
Fight Universe, Mystic Arena...
This arena is not known to anyone, except to the spirits. It is where spirits mingle and battle. But now, this is the set for the Femme Fatales fighting tournament.
"Haven't been back in the Fight Universe for awhile." Hope said as the group made their way to the arena. "The last time we were ever here was for the Ultimate Smash Battle."
"Yeah. Speaking of which, there is a little something I want to start up here in a little while." David said.
"You want to do the same thing for King of Fighters XV, what the Ultimate Smash Battle did for what Galeem and Darkhon pulled, right?" Crusadermon said.
"Well, yeah. Kind of." David said. "I took this up with Pan Ta and she was willing to help set it up on one condition."
"What kind of condition?" UlforceVeedramon said.
"That it has to be open to anyone that is willing to participate." David said. "After all, the tournament we were in had so few spots, not a lot of people got much of a chance."
"It's a process that's gonna take a while, so let's not worry about that right now." Sachiko said.
"She's right. Right now, we gotta go check on Xiaoyu and Lili. Surprisingly, Asuka is not on the participant list." Mayumi said.
"Good, that means Lili didn't drag her into it. She has a tendency to do that to Asuka just to have an excuse to fight her." David said.
"Well, Asuka might not be representing Tekken, but someone else is," Adora said as she looked up a certain fighter. "You were there at Kazuya's King of Iron Fist tournament, David." she then showed a young girl with Black and purple highlighted hair, also wearing black and purple streetwear. "Does she look familiar?"
"Yeah. She said her name is Reina. She goes to Mishima Polytechnic, or so we have heard." Sachiko said.
"She was in the Asia Block B along with Jin and Hwoarang, but lost to Jin in the Block B semifinals," David said.
"Strangest thing is, she was a really good fighter, but Jin won after Reina surrendered," Law said.
"It's a bit faint, but… Some of us felt a bit of Heihachi from her." David said. "It was like she put the pressure on Jin to get him to awaken his Devil Gene. But once he underwent the transformation, she forfeited, almost as if she already saw what she needed to."
"You don't think Reina and Heihachi could be related in some way, do you?" Sakura asked.
"Well, they are. Reina is Heihachi's daughter." Sheer said.
"Wait what?!" Rutee asked.
"It's possible. After all, Lars is of Mishima blood even though Kazumi wasn't his mother." David said.
"But Kazumi has been dead for over 45 years now! So how is Reina conceived?" Omnimon asked.
"It may be possible that Reina was conceived with a different woman entirely, much like Lars." Leopardmon said. "She may even have access to a Devil Gene of her own through experimentation."
"But Jin totally scrubbed away that gene, so it should be all good now, right?" Scott asked.
"Not quite… Jin only absolved the Devil Gene from himself and Kazuya." Korekiyo said.
"And if Reina did have it, she would've had a prime chance to activate it in her body at Yakushima." Dynasmon said.
"So many questions about this girl, huh? Well, we'll find out more about her in the tournament." Nekomaru said. "But our focus shouldn't just be on Reina. There are lots of other strong fighters in the tournament besides her."
"Coach is right. Master Nyada made sure the best of the best came out for this one. Chun-Li, Cammy, Sakura, the works." Akane said.
They soon arrived to the arena where they did not see the fighters but they did see an old calico cat in robes in a chair.

"Master Nyada. It's been awhile." Hope said.
The old cat just kept sleeping there.
"Aaaand he's asleep as usual." Zephyr said. "Well wake up or…" he said as a large hand picked him up with ease.
"Planning to cause trouble for the master?" a voice asked as holding him was a large yellow creature with an equally large mouth.

"Yeah…trouble." said another large creature, this one purple, with a mouth just as big.

"Whoa! Bodyguards!" Peacock said.
"Demuncher and Devourer. Demuncher is capable of devouring demons whole, while Devourer gobbles up life energy and souls. Best we don't get on their bad side." Sunset said.
"Zephyr didn't mean anything bad. We just know Master Nyada from way back." Hope said..
"And yet, here he was, threatening him." Devourer said. "You know, it's been awhile since I've had a meal…" he said with a threatening tone directed at Zephyr.
"Uh…we're here about the tournament." Ranma said.
"Hmm?" Master Nyada said as he suddenly awoke. "Oh ho….been waiting awhile, I have. Come to fight, have you?"
"Yeah, these two." David said, motioning to Ranma and Lei K.
"Oh. Wonderful this is. So…entering the arena first, which one?" Nyada asked.
"You mean, Lei and Ranma aren't competing separately?" Noel asked.
"This ain't a normal fighting tournament like you're used to. You'll both take turns, fighting against the series fighters we gathered." Demuncher said.
"And each female fighter we rounded up will be possessed by some Yo-kai we gathered up. Master Nyada…wants to measure up the skills of the more human." Devourer said (having let Zephyr go when Master Nyada woke up).
"Not really what I expected… but I can roll with this." Lei said. "You wanna go first, Ranma?"
"I'm ready." Ranma said as she entered the arena.
"Nyow….we begin!" Nyada said, banging his staff as entering first were the six fighters of the Street Fighter Series.
"And now…go and fight!" Demuncher said.
"Okay…guess we're going right into this." Ranma said as Cammy White came in first and tried to land a strike only to end up falling over. "Huh? Is she normally so careless?"
"Cammy isn't careless so…" Sunset said, shining her light to show a young boy wearing a pot and holding a toothpick.
Pandle

"Pandle…he makes you act carelessly." Sunset said.
"This is strange. A Yo-Kai like Pandle is a bad fit for Cammy, considering she's all about speed and precision in her attacks. Why would it be possessing her?" Hope asked.
"You're stupid. Did you think all the Yo-kai were meant to give the fighters a boost in a fight?" Demuncher said.
Ranma moved towards the path of Menat.
"Hahaha…Doskoi!" she said, doing a sumo palm strike on her.
"I don't know much about Menat, but… I don't think she is supposed to be a sumo wrestler." David said.
Sunset shined the light to a large mountain with arms and legs.

"She's Inspirited by the sumo-loving Yo-kai Mad Mountain," Sunset said.
"Doskoi!" Menat and Mad Mountain said as they did another shove as Ranma grabbed the arm.
"Heh…nice try. Have a taste…of the Dynamic Punch!" Ranma said, punching her right in the stomach and sending her out of bounds.
"One down, five to go." Devourer said.
"You got this, Ranma!" Nekomaru called out. "Show them what you can do!"
"You're next!" Ranma called out as she ran for Cammy, only for Juri to suddenly block the way. "Move!"
"Nuh uh." Juri said as she kept blocking her.
"And her Yo-kai is…" Sunset said as she revealed a brown blowfish. "The blocking Yo-Kai Blowkade."

"Crud. She's gonna block all my attacks. In that case…" Ranma said as she grabbed at Juri's clothing before throwing her to the out of bounds area as she slammed her into the ground.
"That was Judo…Ranma has he…" Tenko asked.
"They've been practicing…against the image fighters in Fighter's Arena." Jexi said.
"So he leveled up his game again, and integrated more fighting techniques into his arsenal." Akane said.
"Four left, Ranma! Keep it going!" Frosta said.
"Yeah, but of the four remaining fighters left, one of them is the First Lady of Street Fighter, Chun-Li." Krillin said. "She's gonna be tough to beat no matter what Yo-kai is inspiring her."
Ranma moved for Cammy again only for Chun-Li to come with a kick as Ranma quickly blocked.
"Ugh…that didn't work well." Chun-Li said as she stamped her foot.
Sunset shined the light to reveal an apple archer.

"Might wanna recheck your facts, Krillin. That's Sigh-Durr, a Yo-kai that makes you upset when something doesn't go right." Sunset said.
"Hahahaha." Ranma smiled as she landed a one-two kick on both Chun-li and Cammy, knocking them both out of the ring.
"2 left. Sakura and Kimberly." David said.
"One vet, and one newcomer," Hope said.
Ranma braced herself as Sakura came in with a powerful punch. "She's stronger than normal…" Ranma said as Kimberly came in with a flurry of strikes to her. "And this one's got a lot of power."
Sunset shined the light to reveal a cat in a red apron and black hair bowlcut and a small yellow butterfly.

"That explains it. Kimberly is being inspirited by Enerfly. True to his name, he energizes whoever's possessed by him and makes them perform anything at the top of their game." Hope said.
"And Sakura K is being pumped up by Kintaronyan. Being a cat based on Kintaro, that makes sense." Sunset said.
Ranma was in the middle of a beatdown as she was stuck blocking and being pushed to the edge.
"Okay…guess it's time…to use that new move I've been practicing," Ranma said as she got into a position as power gathered in her hands. "Ka…me…."
"Wait…is she…" Krillin said.
"Ha….me…." Ranma said, pulling her hands back. "Ha!" she said as she fired off a beam, knocking both ladies right out of the ring.
"Huh, I don't remember teaching her that." Goku remarked.
"You didn't. I did." Mark explained. "She asked, so I showed her how to do it."
"And it worked! Ranma clinched it!" Akane said.
"Ranma has cleared the Street Fighter Round!" Demuncher announced.
"Now it's the Earthen Heart Shifu's turn." Lei K said as she and Ranma switched out.
"Looks like I've been doing well…with all those moves." Ranma said.
"Yeah, it was a solid Kamehameha. Well done." Mark nodded.
"Now Lei's gotta follow up. Think she'll do as good as Ranma?" Issei asked.
"I know she will." Ranma said as they all saw the Tekken reps being summoned up. "Though she'll have her work cut out for her."
"(Ranma's not the only one who's been stepping up their game. Ever since I saw him use Heavenly Peaks Descent in Lyoko, I've also been looking for ways to take my fighting skills to the next level.)" Lei thought.
Lei's opponents representing Tekken were Xiaoyu, Alisa, Lili, Nina Williams, Lucky Chloe, and Reina.
(Cue: The Decisive Blow (Round 1) - Tekken 8)
"Alright…bring it on!" Lei said as she took up her stance.
READY
FIGHT
All the Tekken representatives advanced on Lei, save for Reina, who hung back so that the other 5 fighters could take shots at the Earthen Heart master.
"Reina's hanging back?" Scarlet questioned.
"She probably doesn't wanna get in the game too early. Remember who her father is." Hope said.
"Yeah, but… She nearly got herself killed taking on Kazuya. I can barely understand how her mind works." David said.
"It's still crazy that she's that purple devil's sister." Klonoa said.
"Cousin, actually. I don't think she and Kazuya are siblings if Heihachi had them with different wives."
"Technically they are siblings because they share the same father." Sectonia said. "Half-siblings, in fact."
"Yeah, the way she acted towards Kazuya certainly could have fooled us." Leopardmon said.
"Seriously, why is it that all the Mishimas can think about is killing each other?" David asked.
"Probably because each and every one of them is some form of messed up." Emo answered. "I mean, they throw each other off cliffs so much, it's practically a family tradition."
"There is no therapist alive that can resolve this family's issues…" Leopardmon said flatly.
Back inside the arena, Lei was combating the 5 Tekken fighters that engaged her from the start. Lei managed to knock Nina back, only for Xiaoyu to grab her by the hair and pull her back until they were face to face.
"Ow, what the heck?!" Lei asked as she kicked Xiaoyu in the face. The girl stumbled back from the hit, only for Lei to see that she had taken a handful of her hair with her.
"What the heck am I doing?!" Xiaoyu yelled in confusion as she then placed the hair into her mouth.
"Okay, what the heck is Xaioyu doing?" Ross asked.
"Yeah, it's not like her to play dirty… or do that." Petra said.
"Sunset?" David said.
"On it." Sunset said as she shined a light on Xiaoyu.
Revealed behind her was a girl that looked almost similar to Demandi. Only she was smaller, wore a light blue dress, with blonde hair in pigtails that are stylized as flames. She has blue colored eyes with light blue pupils, a green colored sketchbook that covers her mouth, and a dark gray pen in her right hand.

"Got it! That's Cue-Tee." Entrapta said. "Anything she writes down in her sketchbook, the Inspirited person is forced to do."
"Making her eat hair…it'd be funnier if big sis were here to see it too." Cue-Tee sighed. "Well, what to make her do next…?"
"Big sis?" Moltar asked.
"She means Demandi. The two of them are sisters." Sunset said.
"Surprisingly that makes sense. Think we'll have to repeat our method to befriend Demandi?" Emo asked.
"We'd better not!" Hope said. "I can only be stabbed so many times!"
"(I'll just knock Xiaoyu out of the running before Cue-tee can make her do anything else!)" Lei thought as she advanced on Xiaoyu.
"Oh, I know!" Cue-Tee got an idea as she wrote something unseen down in her journal.
Xiaoyu managed to grapple onto Lei, holding her from behind.
"(Oh great, now what's she making her do-?)" Lei thought before Xiaoyu leaned forward and kissed the Chinese martial artist on the cheek.
"Wait, why did I do that?!" Xiaoyu exclaimed as she quickly backed off. "I have no idea why I did that, I'm so sorry-!"
"It's okay…I know why!" Lei replied as she executed a Traveler's First Step to stun Xiaoyu before using Heavenly Horse's Trample to knock her down.
"Aw, there goes my fun." Cue-Tee pouted. "Knew I should've made it on the lips." she added as she left the ring.
"One down." Lei said, rubbing her cheek before she refocused and stood back up again. "Who's next?!"
"Dosukoi!" Alisa called out as she did a shove against Lei, this one being explosive.
"Ah-hah! Another case of someone doing Sumo so uncharacteristically!" Frosta said.
"Yeah, Alisa's more about jet boosters, chainsaws, and head bombs." Mermista said.
"Wait… if Mad Mountain was helping Menat earlier, then maybe…" Sunset said as she shined her watch on Alisa to reveal another mountain yokai. He was similar to Mad Mountain, but with some slight differences. Looking more like a volcano. "His hot shot and more eruptive enemy. Lava Lord!"

Lei kipped up from Alisa's power strike, as she and Lava Lord did a Sumo pose.
"You're gonna try to beat me with pure power? Good luck with that!" Lei said.
Lava Lord made Alisa advance for another strike, but Lei avoided it this time thanks to her superior speed. No matter what either of them tried, they couldn't catch her.
"She's so fast!" Sigh-Duur said in the stands with the Street Fighter Yo-Kai.
"Lava Lord's making that metalhead give it all she's got, but they're not even landing a single hit!" Blowkade said.
Mad Mountain nodded. "She must have trained all her life to be able to gain such skill. Dare I say, even I would be challenged by her."
Alisa tried to attack Lei again, but this time she counterattacked with a surprise Chipmunk's Delight, closing the gap between them and dazzling Alisa with a somersault kick to the jaw before retreating.
"Don't lose your head!" Lei smirked before advancing back on the stunned Alisa and finishing her off with Heavenly Horse's Trample, kicking her head off, literally, before knocking her body down to the ground in a heap. Alisa had been eliminated.
"Oh snap! Her head flew off!" Arven said.
"Yeah, but Lee Chaolan told us that this happens a lot with her. So, don't worry. She's fine." Miu said.
"Okay…four more. Who do I…" Lei said before being slugged in the face by Lucky Chloe as she dashed by. She then kept getting hit repeatedly as she zipped around.
"What's wrong? Am I too fast for you?!" Chloe taunted as she raced around the arena.
"Human beings aren't really supposed to go that fast." Koneko bluntly stated.
"And I know the reason why that cat's got quick feet." Sunset said as she revealed the Yo-Kai responsible. Running alongside Lucky Chloe was a humanoid body in a speedo with an oversized sneaker for a head.

"Nekidspeed. She's running on supercharged Yo-kai speed." Sunset said.
"Oh, man! Imagine if I mixed that Yo-Kai's power with my Super Speed!" Rainbow said. "I might even be able to beat Sonic!"
"Nope. Still wouldn't." Sonic said.
Lei continued to get battered from all directions by Lucky Chloe, and it didn't seem like she would stop, even if she wanted to.
"Don't wanna slow down, huh?" Lei asked before entering a different stance. "Then I'll slam the brakes for you!"
She then stamped her foot on the ground, causing the ground to shake and making Lucky Chloe trip up. That momentary lapse was all Lei needed to close the gap and take her down with the sliding leg of her Serpent's Strike.
"Hey! That was that Earthquake move we saw that Demon Serpent guy do!" Frosta said.
"Looks like Lei watched Ranma's battle against Liu Dongcheng and picked up some of his tricks." Hope said.
"Okay…that's half…" Lei said as she spotted Nina next and immediately went and attacked her rapidly. "And now it's…huh?" she said, seeing the woman still standing there as she attacked.
"Hmm…" Sunset said, shining the light to show a piece of bread wearing boxing gloves and looking worse for wear.

"Another Merican. Buttered Blue Inspirits people to let them withstand high amounts of pain." Peridot-2 read off the info.
"Your luck has run out." Nina said as she and Lei traded blows, Nina not feeling a thing.
"(Guess hitting her is out of the question. I just have to knock her out of bounds!)" Lei thought.
Lei and Nina continued to trade blows for a bit, Lei avoiding as many of Nina's attacks as she could while the latter took her attacks head on, but Lei was really close to getting a ring out from nina.
"Alright, Lei's almost got Nina out of the ring!" Glimmer said.
"Wait, why isn't Lili helping her? They're on the same team, aren't they?" Kaibara asked.
"I got one idea." Sunset said, showing them a purple butterfly around her.
Enefly

"What is that, a Shiny Enerfly?" Carmine asked.
"Not quite. Enerfly causes good fortune and makes you energetic. Enefly makes you loathed and have your friends turn against you. It only lasts until Enefly leaves." Sunset said.
Lei soon got Nina out of bounds, prompting Lili to attack her next as they clashed limbs.
"I don't need anyone else's help. I can defeat you all by myself!" Lili declared as she tried to strike Lei with a kick, but she blocked.
"Sorry Lili… but this is one thing you're not gonna be bragging to Asuka about!" Lei said before pushing her leg away before turning Lili black and blue with a series of lightning fast strikes, hitting her all over her body.
"Whoa! That's some fast work! Is that Tiger and Dragon's Rebuke?" Cap-P asked.
"It is, but Lei's gotten even faster with it! Where'd that speed come from?!" Krillin said.
"It's because Lei mixed in Wing Chun with her style of Earthen Heart Kung Fu." Hope said.
"Good. She's putting effort not only to get stronger but also expand her skillset." Piccolo remarked. "Focusing on strength above all else causes fighters to stagnate."
In no time at all, Lei had battered Lili so much that she was thrown to the ground, unable to continue as Enefly was knocked loose too.
Lei then looked to her last opponent, Reina, sitting on her throne cross-legged (some having no idea where she had gotten it).
"One and done," Lei said in challenge.
Reina uncrossed her legs and sat up a bit. "Try your hardest. Push me to my limit!" she answers back, standing up and crossing her arms.
"This isn't gonna be easy. I can tell she means business this time." Alphen said.
"What kind of Yo-kai is she packing, Sunset?" Mark asked.
Sunset checked with her Yo-kai Watch, to reveal a skeleton wearing a red and black striped shirt, white pants, and a blue handkerchief. Purple horn-shaped flames were pouring out of a crack on its skull, and it was wielding a pair of hammers.

"Of all the Yo-kai…she had to be Inspirited by that one." Sunset said.
"Is that Yo-kai dangerous?" SE asked.
"Very dangerous. Skillskull…can improve your power and performance." Sunset said.
"Hmm…Reina's natural fighting prowess, plus Devil Gene, plus Skillskull, equals…" ZS rattled off before his eyes widened. "...Oh crud."
"Reina…was always going to be the toughest challenge." Sunset said.
"Imagine if Skillskull inspirited her during our war against G Corporation. Kazuya would have been paste in no time." Leopardmon said.
(Music Shift: Storm Rising - Tekken 8)
"I'm not backing down. Gimme everything you've got!" Lei said as she defiantly took her combat stance against Reina.
"I'll have you dancing in the palm of my hand!" Reina said as she had her hands out.
The two then charged at each other before Lei's kick collided with Reina's fist as sparks flew.
FINAL ROUND
FIGHT
The battle kicked off in full force from there, as it was truly a clash of Mixed Martial Art styles. It was Lei's Mix of Earthen Heart Kung Fu and Wing Chun vs Reina's combination of Mishima-Style Karate and Taido. Even though it wasn't officially confirmed if Reina had unlocked the full power of the Devil Gene, or if she could transform into a Devil Form at all, she was still a fierce fighter, especially with Skillskull taking her abilities to their maximum.
After a two-sided exchange, both Lei and Reina knocked each other back, Lei suffering a Thunder God Fist to the gut while Reina took Heavenly Horse's Trample to the face.
Reina rubbed the bruise off her cheek and smirked. "You're good. So…you and the others have figured me out, haven't you?"
Lei shook off the pain in her stomach. "Yeah. We know who your father is. Kinda does explain how good you are at fighting even with extra help."
"I see. I'm guessing David and his group already knew from the start, even back when we met at Kazuya's King of Iron Fist Tournament." Reina said. "You should know, I held back against Jin-senpai back then, just to see how the Devil Gene of his is triggered."
"Yeah, David told us," Lei said. "You're not holding anything back now, though. I respect that."
"You're not suspicious of what my goals are? What if I'm the same as my father and I want the Mishima Zaibatsu?" Reina asked.
"Hey, I may be on the same team as Hope, but I'm not skeptical of everything. You've got your reasons for being here, and we've got ours. That's enough for me." Lei said. "All I want is to make sure a friend of mine gets all of hers back. And if that means goin' through you to do that, then that's fine by me!"
Reina chuckled. "You know beating me won't be easy."
"When is anything ever easy? It wasn't easy for me to beat the Old Man." Lei smiled. "Now back to the fight!"
Lei and Reina re-engaged as the two of them maneuvered around each other and exchanged blows with each other fiercely. Lei missed a roundhouse kick as Reina ducked underneath it, giving her an opening to strike as she nailed Lei with another Thunder God Fist, and then followed up with a powerful kick of her own.
But Lei quickly recovered and grabbed Reina's leg before she could pull it back. "I've got you!" she said as she threw Reina over her shoulder leg first and then followed up. "The Dragon comes for you!" she called, using Sacred Dragon's Temper and blasting Reina with all its power and full force.
Sacred flames bombarded Reina as she withstood the best she could, before a change overtook her, her eyes glowing orange as she gained a more demonic appearance, dispelling the rest of the attack.
"Oh, well that answers that question." SE remarked.
"So that's what yours looks like…" Lei said with a smile. "Alright…let's see what it can do!"
Reina rapidly charged towards Lei, who stood still, preparing for her opponent's next move. When she noticed Reina pulling her left arm back, she tensed up, as if preparing to take the hit…
Only to quickly duck under the strike that the Mishima threw out, time seemingly slowing down as Reina looked down at Lei, who grinned back up at her.
"Take more time to gauge movements…the next time around!" Lei offered her as she gathered up her energy and let loose with her strongest attack. "You're done!" she called as she stamped her foot and rushed at Reina, attacking her with the first of strikes that would lead to many. "The Old Man taught me this!" she said as she used Heavenly Peaks Descent and struck rapidly from all directions before finishing off with a powerful blow that sent Reina flying.
"What the hell?!" Reina screamed as she hit the ground.

"Hai!" Lei said as she posed. "The name's Lei Kugo, and don't you forget it!"
"And the Tekken round is finished." Demuncher said as Lei left the arena.
"Phew… that was a workout." Lei said as she returned to the others.
"It was pretty bold, taking Reina on last. Why didn't you go for her first?"
"Pretty simple. I wanted my last opponent to be a challenge." Lei said. "I can't get stronger and polish my skills without taking on stronger people. So I knocked out everyone else before getting Reina all to myself without interference. I knew she thought the same because she wanted it that way too."
"Yeah. Something tells me it's what Heihachi would've done too." Hope said.
"Like father, like daughter, as some would say." David said.
"So, you sure we should leave her alone?" Tenko asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure. She didn't seem like she wanted the same things as Heihachi or Kazuya. At least not yet. I'm not sure what she's after, but control isn't one of them." Lei said.
"I suppose time will tell then." Elisabeth said before her head perked up. "Orochi…"
"Oh man… I think we know who is next then." David said.
"Ranma Satome, return to the arena! It is time for you to face your next round!" Devourer said. "Your opponents are the females of KOF!"
"Looks like I'm up again." Ranma said switching back into the ring.
"Fight well." Elisabeth said.
Nyada banged his staff as the six fighters entered.
"And…begin!" Devourer said.
"Yeah…I quit." Leona Heidern said as she turned and left.
"Huh? Why's Leona backing out all of a sudden? She usually takes to any mission and does it without complaint." Crusadermon said.
"True…but remember, every fighter in this arena, excluding Lei and Ranma, are being affected by Yo-kai." Ash said.
"And the one affecting her is…" Sunset said, showing a red headed creature with a dazed look.

"That one makes you quit no matter how excited you might have been." Sunset said.
"So Leona quitting immediately gives Ranma one less to worry about." Glimmer said.
"There's still some tough customers in there." Hope said, seeing the remaining 5 King of Fighters reps were Athena, Mai, Yuri, Chizuru, and Shermie who was simply standing there.
"Athena, Yuri and Mai… Hmm… I know they were knocked out of the KOF tournament after Shyvana and the others had their way with them. They shouldn't be too much of a problem for Ranma. Chizuru and Shermie, though…" David started.
"The Heavenly King doesn't seem to have awakened yet." Elisabeth said.
"It doesn't look like Shermie's doing much of anything at all." Hope noticed.
"Sunset?" David asked.
"Yeah, no need to say anything." Sunset said as she shone a light on Shermie.
Shermie simply laughed. "Come down here!" she said as lightning struck her, her clothes turning red and her hair purple. "Hahaha…now…I…uh…" she said before standing there as the light showed a small skull Yo-kai with a crack in his skull.

"And it also means Shermie can't use her Orochi powers properly." Leopardmon said.
"Seems like Ranma drew the good luck card with this match." Jexi said.
"Well….this is gonna be fun." Ranma said, kicking Shermie out of the ring before moving at Chizuru, to find the girl shaking as she avoided the kick. "Huh?!"
"She looks so unsteady, but she dodged that blow so easily. There's no way that's not Yo-kai related." Krillin said.
"Actually…" Sunset said, showing a blue elephant behind her.

"Touphant…he makes you avoid being hit…by shaking." Sunset said.
"Ugh…this is…oh…wait…I got it." Ranma said, sweeping her from under before knocking her out of bounds.
"Wow…3 down, 3 to go." Dan said as Ranma went and attacked Mai next. Mai quickly dodged as she felt her heart going a mile a minute. "What's with her?"
"I got an idea." Sunset said, showing a small clay creature with a beating heart.

"Terrorpotta…he makes you anxious and nervous that your heart beats rapidly." Sunset said.
"Over impressing Andy, no doubt." David said.
"Then there's Athena who…" Ash C said, seeing the girl barely being able to stand on both legs.
"Is…she dizzy?" Hope asked as Sunset showed a small yellow chick that was also dizzy.

"Twirly Pie…as his name suggests, he makes you dizzy." Sunset said.
"Two Yo-kai who throw them off their game… What about Sakazaki?" Scarlet pointed out the girl who stood there focused.
"Hahahaha…I think you mean…my latest protege!" a voice called out as appearing behind her was a large and buff orange oni.

"Sgt. Burly!?" Sunset said.
'That's right. I've honed this girl's power and now she's stronger than any five of these ladies." Sgt. Burly said.
"Okay…she might be a challenge." Sunset said.
Ranma smiled as she pushed the other two female fighters out before turning to Sakazaki as the two entered an epic exchange of fists and kicks.
"Yeah…that's it. Show that girl who is boss." Sgt. Burly said.
"I didn't expect Sgt. Burly to show up to this thing. Expect the unexpected, I guess." Hope said.
"You know that guy?" Flamberge said.
"All too well. Sgt. Burly showed us the ropes on a lot of things Yo-kai related. But his main lease on things is training the heck out of people. Around him, you know you're in for a workout." Hope said.
"Well, Sakazaki's certainly giving Ranma a workout." Mark observed, as the battle between the two female fighters continued to heat up.
"I'll admit…you're strong. But…I'm gonna…win this!" Ranma said as she started to move past her movements and started striking her actual body with multiple hits before sending her flying with a final strike, launching her out of the arena.
"Round over! Ranma wins!" Demuncher said.
"Dang it." Sgt. Burly said.
"Nice one Ranma!" Frosta said.
"Yeah…I knew….I could do it." Ranma said.
"Take a breather, Ranma. I'm up again." Lei said as she switched out with Ranma.
"Hope you're ready for your next challenge, Earthen Heart Master. Because it's time…for Mortal Kombat!" Devourer said.
"Good thing it's Lei's turn. We had a go against some of the fighters from the Mortal Kombat tournament back in the day, they don't mess around." Hitomi said.
"I'll say. They wouldn't even care if Ranma's worn out, they'd take advantage of it." Ragna said.
"They are brutal fighters, but the one advantage Lei could have is that they'll be affected by Yo-kai too. It all depends on what kind of draw she's got." Hope said.
Lei soon was ready to face what was coming, and soon enough, the Mortal Kombat team appeared. It consisted of Kitana, Jade, Mileena, Sonya Blade, Cassie Cage, and Frost.
(Cue: Cage Mansion (Round 1) - Mortal Kombat 1)
Lei relaxed her arms before assuming her combat stance again. "Here we go..!" she said, ready for battle.
Kitana had her face hidden behind one of her bladed fans before lowering it as she did a small dance with both of them before finishing as she pointed the folded blade form of her other fan with the other unfolded behind her at Lei as she did a come on motion with her folded fan as she laughed a bit. Mileena lowered her face mask, showing a set of demonic teeth as she licked her tongue across one of her sais before clipping her mask back on. Jade ran forward for a moment before vaulting up to the top of her staff as she then stood on it with her hand before slamming it down. Cassie walked forward a bit as she was texting on her phone before taking a selfie of her and her drone and putting it away. A smoke screen was seen as Sonya walked out of it before putting her hands on her hips. Finally, Frost approached as she attached her left hand before taking a fighting stance.
FIGHT!
Lei made the first move, attacking the quintet straight away. The five Mortal Kombat fighters separated from Lei's strike, and then Kitana and Jade attempted a ranged pincer attack, Kinata throwing both her Blade Fans and Jade her Triblade. Lei leaped into the air and spun between them to avoid getting cut, but she was besieged by Mileena, who attacked fiercely, trying to stab the young martial artist with her Sai.
"Hey, whoa! C'mon! Is this even legal?!" Lei complained as she avoided the blades and bo strikes from the 3 Outworlders.
"Sorry, Lei! Guess it slipped our minds to tell you that weapons are allowed in Mortal Kombat!" Makoto called.
"And you didn't think to tell me sooner?!" Lei asked in irritation.
"Now I know what David meant when he said what he did…" Ranma said.
"Yeah. Just think. That could've been you, Ranma." David said.
"And there is one thing about the Mortal Kombat fighters that also deserves a heads-up." Tsumugi said.
"...I'm probably gonna regret asking this, but… What would that be?" Ranma asked.
"They have no qualms killing their opponents." Tsumugi said.
Hearing this, Lei knew she was in for a tough time. Every fighter from Mortal Kombat attacks to kill, and they have no regrets doing so.
"(If I make even a single mistake in this round, I'll be dead in an instant. The best chance I've got is to hope these girls have Yo-kai inspiriting them that can give me an opening.)" Lei said as she narrowly avoided a strike from Sonya, answering the strike with Cat's Reproach.
"Ugh…this is so damn difficult…" Sonya said, as Lei swore she saw a faint pink mist around the soldier's head. "I didn't sign up for this… I don't wanna do this."
"(And there's my door!)" Lei thought as she wasted no time and capitalized on Sonya's slight delay.
"Hey, Lei found an opening!" Frosta said.
"Quite the odd behavior just now from Ms. Blade," Jin said.
"Did I just see some mist coming off of her? Only one Yo-kai I know emanates that…" Sunset said, revealing a Yo-kai similar to Q'wit, only this one looked younger, and had yellow skin compared to Q'wit's red.

"D'wanna. Like Q'wit, he makes you stop doing whatever you are currently doing." Sunset said.
"So basically the same." Carmine stated.
"That's one of the fighters out." Scarlet said, only to notice a sparkle combating the mist around Sonya's head. "Huh? What's that sparkle?"
"Looks like it's coming from…" Emo pointed to Cassie, who seemed to be cheering her mother on…in a way.
"C'mon, don't get so down, Mom! You can always kick her ass tomorrow!" Cassie cheered.
"Hmm…that's a new one." Sunset remarked as she shined the light in Cassie's direction, revealing a pink cheerleading ghost Yo-kai.

"Tomorrow Gal." Peridot-2 informed the group. "According to the wiki, she has the ability to make somebody cheer on another person or cheer them up to win the next day instead of today."
"It appears she's battling D'wanna for influence." Double D said.
"Hey Army Girl! Pay attention!" Lei called. Cassie was too busy trying to rally Sonya who was already eliminated that she wasn't fast enough to counter Lei coming in with Lion's Dismissal and knocking her down as well.
"Aww… my inspiritees eliminated. But there's no shame. We can always try again tomorrow!" Tomorrow Gal cheered.
"You have a one-track mind, you know that?" Lei asked before turning her attention to Frost, Kitana, Mileena, and Jade.
"I'll freeze her solid and shatter her like…uh…uh…' Frost said as her nose started to ooze blood.
"Oh boy…" Sunset said, revealing a small red living drop of blood.

"Gush is a Yo-kai that gives you nosebleeds." Sunset said.
"But, Frost is a cyborg. How can she get a nosebleed?" Frosta asked.
"I'm not gonna question it. And just do this!" Lei said as she attacked Frost while her guard was down and took her down with a Wing Chun combo into Heavenly Horses Trample. "Halfway done. Three to go." she said, looking to the Outworld assassins.
"You…you think this is…ugh…going to go your way, don't you?" Kitana said as she was fidgeting her legs a bit.
"What's wrong, Kitana?" Jade asked.
"I don't know… I was fine before, but now… something's off." Kitana said. "It's like…I really need to go."
Sunset sighed as she shined the light to show a small green elephant in orange.

"Yeah…that would be Fidgephant. He makes you immediately need to use the bathroom." Sunset said.
"Seriously? There's a yo-kai who does that?" Mermista asked, a little grossed out.
"And it had to be Kitana of all people who he inspirited… Not a good look for the princess of Outworld." Ragna said.
"Sorry about this… I'll take you down quick, that should relieve the stress," Lei said.
"Please do…this is embarrassing." Kitana said as Lei gave a big kick to her face, knocking her down and saving her the trouble.
"Okay, let's finish this up strong!" Lei said, refocusing on Jade and Mileena. She charged at Jade who endured the hit and knocked her back. Switching targets, she went at Mileena and suddenly slipped on a banana peel.
Sunset shined her watch and revealed two Yo-kai. A large mammoth with a cork in his trunk. And a small blue boxer with a pink ghostly trainer.

"Enduriphant and Rocky Badboya." Sunset realized. "Pretty unlikely pair, but between Enduriphant's ability to endure anything, and Rocky's way of causing the worst outcomes…it could be a half-decent stall strategy."
"It's a double defense. Endurance combined with spontaneous mistakes. Jade and Mileena can easily capitalize on that." Hope said.
Mileena took a stab with her sais while Lei was down, but she was fast enough to avoid the attack.
"You got her on the ropes, kid! Turn that human into a meat skewer!" Patch, Rocky Badboya's trainer, called out to Mileena, though she wasn't aware of him, not seeing or hearing him.
"(That boxer guy is gonna make sure I have the worst luck… but wait, from the way he looks so beat up, is he not immune to his own power?)" Lei noticed. "(Maybe I can use that.)"
She continued to go at Mileena as the boxer tried to throw a punch at Lei only to end up hitting himself.
"What're ya doin'?! Hit her, not yourself!" Patch said to Rocky.
"It ain't like I can choose who gets the bad luck!" Rocky responded, winding up another punch, only for Lei to dodge that strike by tilting her head. Rocky's punch this time caused Mileena to have a slip-up, as she ended up stabbing her sai into the ground too hard, and couldn't pull them out, causing Lei to kick her in the stomach, sending her up into the air and out of the ring.
"Alright! Now the only pair left is jade and Enduriphant!" Kaibara said.
"It's not gonna be easy to get them out." Sunset said. "Like I said, Enduriphant's a stamina monster. He puts the other elephant Yo-kai to shame."
"(There has to be a way I can beat them. But none of my attacks will make so much as a dent.)" Lei said. "(I'll just have to keep striking until she surrenders.)" she thought.
The Earthen Heart master pressed her attack and fired off her best moves, avoiding Jade's attacks as she did so.
"You fight well, warrior…but you will not topple me!" Jade promised.
"(Agh, she's not goin' down…! How am I supposed to… wait!)" Lei thought. "(She can endure the hits, but where does all the damage go? …That's it! I just gotta think of the right combo and down she goes!)"
Lei then avoided an incoming strike from Jade's Bo Staff before kicking her hard to the midsection before following up with back-to-back hard shots to specific parts of her body.
"Tóu! Xiōng! Dùzi! Dàtuǐ! Xiǎotuǐ! Xī gài!" Lei called before finally managing to push Jade right out of the ring.
"That finishes it! Lei wins the Mortal Kombat round!" Demuncher said.
"Aw, and I didn't even get to the best part… eh, there's always next time," Lei said as she left the arena.
"One round left…." Ranma said as she swapped with Lei.
Sakura petals were then seen slowly falling down.
"Cherry Blossoms?" Homura asked.
"Of course… the last round has reps from Dead or Alive." Hope said. "And we know someone from that tournament all too well."
The cherry blossoms then swirled around before a figure that was very familiar to most of the group, materialized from them.
"Kasumi, huh?" Mayumi asked. "And if it's Dead or Alive… It's more than likely Ayane is here too."
"Did someone call me?" a voice asked as landing down next to Kasumi was the Killer Kunoichi herself.
Rounding out the field of Dead or Alive were two more figures familiar to most of the group along with two new ones. The familiar faces were Marie Rose, the Wicked Lil' Servant, and Honoka, the Super Secret Fighter Chick.
New to the sight of the Hero Alliance was Tina Armstrong, Superstar of a Thousand Dreams and daughter of Bass Armstrong. Alongside her was Nyotengu, the Naughty Tengu Princess.
"Oh man, fanservice galore with this lineup." Jesse said.
"I know what you mean. Dead or Alive is kinda synonymous with having most of their fan-favorite females be shown in swimsuits. Doesn't help that they're all extremely attractive." Chiaki said.
"But drop-dead looks don't excuse the fact that under all that glitz, glam and sunscreen, the females of Dead or Alive are still by trade some pretty skilled fighters." Hope said.
"Yeah, there are a lot of fighting styles and backgrounds the fighters all come from. Yes, there is a bit of a stigma surrounding it, but Dead or Alive has no shortage of variety when it comes to the fighting styles its fighters tend to use." Tenko said.
"Ranma has quite the quintet here. Kasumi and Ayane are both Kunoichi, not to mention the former is Ryu Hayabusa's pupil." Hope said. "And then theres Honoka and her deceitful looks. You wouldn't expect her to be a fighter just by looking at her, but then she hits you like a ton of bricks."
"Not to mention Honoka has a bit of a habit of copying the movesets of other fighters." Mayumi said.
"Don't forget about Marie. She may look and act all innocent, but she knows her way around a grapple or two." Hope said. "And then there's Tina. Pro Wrestling's in her blood."
"Just relax, we don't need the full spiel." Lei said. "Whatever they've got, Ranma can take them."
(Cue- With the Goddess ~Sisters~- Dead or Alive 6)

"That's it…No more. I'm done." Ayane said as she left the arena and laid on the ground.
"And…" Sunset said showing a Yo-kai similar to Q'wit.

"We have the full D'wanna cycle. He makes you lazy and get bored easily." Sunset said.
"And just like that, she's down to five." Emo stated. "What are the chances the rest of them are inspirited by giving up Yo-kai?"
The other Dead or Alive fighters took that opportunity to answer the warlock's question by charging Ranma.
"Not great." Starlight replied.
"Be blown away!" Nyotengu said as she waved her hand as a gush of wind blew right at Ranma and sent her back.
"Wind? Wait…could she be…" Sunset said as she shined the light to show a red-skinned figure with white hair, a long nose and a leaf fan.

"Tengu…a master of the wind itself." Sunset said.
"Now there's a famous Yo-kai." Mark said. "Good to see that the Yo-kai Alliance didn't get to him first."
"He must've hitched a ride with Nyotengu to lay low." Scarlet reasoned.
"Still, that makes it all the much harder for Ranma." Jexi said.
Ranma kept moving as she switched towards Kasumi, only to find her immovable. Sunset showed a black and yellow blowfish inspiriting her.

"Ledballoon…he's even heavier and tougher than Blowkade." Sunset said.
"She's not moving from that spot, is she?" ZS asked.
"More likely not." Nami said.
"Okay…this is pretty tough." Ranma said before being hit by Tina as she threw punches as Ranma was taking them. Sunset shined the light to show a large baguette with boxing gloves.

"Well, at least Honoka looks normal." Klonoa pointed out the student who, indeed, looked no different than usual. "Wonder who inspirited her."

"Huh…once again, pretty niche power." Mark said.
"And last one is…" Sunset said, revealing a large muscular man in an orange hoodie near Marie Rose.

"Darumacho…makes you muscular and tough." Sunset said.
"Guess the Dead or Alive fighters pulled the lucky card. Most of their 'partners' make them stronger." Undyne said.
Kasumi did a few hand signs before holding her hand out as a pink energy emanate from it. "Torn Sky Blast!" she called, firing a beam of lightning.
"Ha!" Ranma said as she jumped out of the way. "Come on. Gotta figure a way to get rid of these crazy…" Ranma said as she dodged another wind and lightning beam attack.
"Whoa…she is really getting put through the wringer." Jexi said.
"Yep. These ladies don't seem to be slouches in a fight." Mayumi said. "Kind of glad we didn't enter any Dead or Alive tournaments. We'd probably be knocked out pretty early on."
"No wonder this is one of the top five fighting game series." Chiaki said.
Ranma kept running as she neared Honoka. "Huh…maybe…." she said as she grabbed Honoka and used her as a human shield against the two incoming attacks.
"Why?" Honoka said weakly.
"Sorry. I'll make it up to you later." Ranma said, tossing her out of bounds as she ran once more. "Okay…maybe I got a strategy here." she said running to Marie Rose next, dodging a hit and using her to take the next few hits too before tossing her out. She then ran to Tina before stopping.
"Do it…and I'll kill you later." Tina said.
"Uh…okay." Ranma said backing off as she dodged the attacks once more. "So much for that. But 3 enemies to go."
Only Tina, Nyotengu and Kasumi were left, and Tina had stopped Ranma's human shield tactic.
"Guess I'm actually gonna have to work for it now." Ranma said as she jumped and landed right on Kasumi's shoulders.
"What? How did…" Kasumi said before she was flipped and knocked right into Tina, pushing them both out of the ring.
"Ha…now…the big blowhard is all that's left." Ranma said.
"You won't beat us so easily!" Tengu said.
"Buddy, a lot of people say that." Ranma said as she was being buffeted by the wind. "All right…how about a little jolt with your wind?" he said launching a Thunder Punch, electrifying the wind right towards Nyotengu, electrocuting her.

"And it's all over! Ranma has won the Dead or Alive Round!" Devourer said.
"Yes…" Ranma said. "Thank god it's over."
"Yes…now…we need to heal." Master Nyada said as Enerfly and Enefly flew up and combined into a larger butterfly.

Betterfly scattered his scales on the two as Lei and Ranma healed up.
"And the fighting is done so…get lost losers." Devourer said to the defeated fighters.
"Those two were incredible…. Not one fighter any of us inspirited was able to defeat them!" Sigh-Durr said.
"That means you too." Demuncher said to the Yo-kai.
"Aw…" the Yo-kai said as they departed from the arena.
"Wow…tough place…" Ranma said.
"Yeah, these guys were seriously strict." Jesse said.
"I bet Xiaoyu and Lili have a lot of explaining to do once they get back to Tokyo." Mayumi said.
"Nah, I don't think so. They actually took time off just to participate in this tournament." Kokoro said.
"But, what was the whole point of this? I had fun, sure, but… was Master Nyada testing us or something, like the Old Man?" Lei asked.
"He must have. He was probably teaching us that just cause we're martial artists doesn't mean we're not the strongest in our groups." Ranma said.
Lei smiled. "Yeah, we were pretty good, huh? You showed off a bunch of new techniques and mixed them in really well with your fighting style."
"And you've gotten faster, and you adapted many new techniques into the Earthen Heart style on the fly," Ranma said.

Master Nyada yawned as he held a paw to his head as a pillow floated over to him as he jumped onto it and slept.

The group returned to the ship after that.
"Okay…that's about 342 medals earned so far." Sunset said.

"But is it enough?" Asta asked.
"Not sure. We'll need another big hit." Sunset said. "Hmm…I may have an idea…we're going to the USA."
"The USA?" Jet asked.
"Yeah…this is my plan. We're going there to recruit…all of the remaining Merican Yo-kai." Sunset said.
"All of them?!" Noel asked in surprise.
"All of them." Hope said.
"That's a tall order. Even for us." Emo pointed out. "I assume you have a plan?"
"We'll start with the single players before moving on to the big targets…the Merican Yo-kai Heroes." Sunset said. "We'll also be going after the Merican Legends."
"And what medals do we need for their medals?" Catra asked.
"Actually, we don't need to collect medals. We just need to actually find them." Sunset said. "Plus, the Merican Yo-kai are the least likely to be targeted by the Alliance."
"Cause Kelly is probably more familiar with the Japanese and Classic Yo-kai." Aqua said.
"I see… this way we can befriend more Yo-kai without him or the alliance noticing." 2B said.
"So then, what're we waiting for? Let's head over to the States and start our Merican Yo-kai spree." Zephyr said.
